If Leon was the one who was assigned as Nigel’s partner instead of Lizzie, what would their relationship be like and how different would the episodes with Lizzie play out with him? Would Leon act like Lizzie or just act like himself?

This is an interesting one- I never actually thought about the idea of it.

But I imagine at first Leon wouldn’t even love Nigel, he just pretends to (he’s actually a really good actor) and if anything is disgusted in secret but just deals with it for the sake of the GKND. He doesn’t exactly act like Lizzie tho; he actually like himself most of the time, but still keeps up the lovey act.

As time goes on, however, he eventually develops a crush on Nigel. He admires his determination to protect kids and his passion for the KND, and while he used to find his over-thinking annoying at first, he eventually saw it a bit funny before explaining things to him.

But he has to remind himself that, at the time, it’s only a mission. He can’t let Nigel know who or what exactly he is and his purpose.

Leon begins to realize he feels like he’s turned into his aunt: only using others that have value to [the organization]

And that’s when Leon plans the breakup. He finally realized this whole time he’s just setting Nigel up for a heartbreak and wasn’t comfortable doing this mission anymore. But the GKND had no problem with that; his “mission” was completed.

Leon hated having to “break up” with Nigel. He felt guilty and it left him thinking for months that he had just turned into his aunt.

A random GKND operative: I notice you keep holding Nigel’s hand and hugging him whenever he’s upset. What if he falls in love with you?

Leon: *sweats*

GKND operative: Is...is that what you want?

Leon, nervously: Is what what I want?

Leon sometimes has nightmares about his aunt and gets panic attacks about the “What if’s” if she found him or he’d (for some odd reason) would be forced to return to his home planet and continue to live with his aunts abuse.

Before Leon and Nigel got together and started sharing a dorm, Nigel was the one that often heard a crash or yell of frustration from Leon’s room and would often calm him down and would just hold him, telling him that everything was okay and that he wouldn’t let anyone hurt him.

Once they began sharing a dorm, Leon still had nightmares and Nigel often calmed him down by just holding him (if Leon was comfortable with someone touching him), rubbing his back and stroking his hair while Leon would just cry into his chest or shoulder until he eventually fell asleep again.

Nigel has more of an open mind about what he should and shouldn’t do/say during these situations because he’s experienced similar times whenever Aron was dealing with his mental illnesses with Chad, Father and the rest of the Teen Ninjas, so he doesn’t really try to force what his aunt did to Leon out of him, he’ll just let Leon cry if he wants to. He respects Leon whenever he says he doesn’t want to talk about it, but he always does tell Leon he’d do nothing to hurt him on purpose and he just wants to protect him.

Nigel has never said it to Leon, but if he ever has to meet his aunt, the first thing he’s going to do is punch her in the face and make her regret treating Leon the way she did.

Leon and 9L didn't trust Chubbs since when they were on a mission to Gehen,Chubbs dragged Nigel away and all they heard was his screams
