One of the guys I work with found out I hadn't been eating lunch for the last month or 2 because I've been really stressed and just couldn't find time to make healthy meals. He came up to me today with 2 containers. One for me and one for him. Hes got a daughter my age who I remind him of and he says he'd always want her to make the healthy choice even if he has to with her. 🖤

Times are definitely different right now but I’m taking a moment to acknowledge the good days coming ahead when we can safely be outside and give our loved ones the biggest hug.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Compiling this list is meant to remind me of what I am grateful for, what I am looking forward to, and of course a reminder on why it is important to practice safe distancing and participating in community at this time – be it online or through our cell phones.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Picking the seasonal fruits and vegetables at the farmer’s market⁣ ⁣ Capturing views in different cities⁣ ⁣ Leisurely lounging in a café⁣ ⁣ Late night drives under the stars⁣ ⁣ The sound of the ocean waves at dusk⁣ ⁣ Walking through a garden and spying on all the wildlife⁣ ⁣ Being able to go for a long walk at any given moment⁣ ⁣ Gathering for a nighttime bonfire and s’mores⁣ ⁣ Visiting my beloved bookstores⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ There are many more things I miss! While we wait, as hard as it is, I am reminding myself of how all I want to pursue and it gives me a newfound perspective on cherishing the moments of joy and life around us. Teachers give me hope

This one tie I was doing a test for my Japanese class and I wasn’t doing very well so I wrote my name on the front in hiragana and when I went to hand in the test I jokingly asked my teacher if I could get an extra mark for it. Some of my friends heard and laughed. Guess who got an extra 2 marks? Teachers like this make my day.

My boyfriend and I went out to eat and when it was time to pay; I tried using my card and it wouldn’t read for some reason. After dealing the Manager who tried my card time and time again, and I had no other means of paying, a lady and a male came up behind me and ask how much my bill was. She then pulled out $40 and gave it to me for my bill. The waitress, manager, my boyfriend, and I all stood in shock and my boyfriend and I thanked them. This whole experience gives me hope.

Day 13 - Obstacle:  Living with chronic pain for almost 2 years is quite difficult, so how do I find gratitude in chronic pain?  Well some days it is extremely hard and emotionally it can be quite taxing on me BUT I am reminded that with each obstacle there is a lesson.  While overcoming one obstacle another decided to join the chronic pain party so with each day I grateful to have more compassion, patience, gratitude, appreciation, faith, and hope through it.
