Chifuyu Matsuno general relationship headcanons
-He’d be super supportive of anything you wanted to do as long as it’s not anything that could potentially harm you
-He’d get upset/mad if you gave up at something you’re good at for no reason and would encourage you to try to get back into it
-Dates where you just go walking trying to find cats to play with
-Maybe cat cafes too
-Hyping you up if you wanted to try something new with your appearance like wearing different clothes than your usual outfits, trying a new hairstyle or cutting your hair yourself (even though that usually doesn’t end well)
-He obviously wouldn’t pressure you if you were hesitant, just wants you to know that he supports your ideas
-Walking around and just talking about life, along with both of your plans for the future
-He’d see cuts or bruises on you and try to figure out if it was caused by someone else so he could go fight them
-Definitely accused someone of doing that even if they were innocent 💀
-If you got scrapes or bruises, even if it was a tiny scratch he’s going all out
-Pulls out polysporin and other creams from who knows where
-Using those cute little colourful bandaids that have cartoon characters on them wherever you get hurt!!
-He gives you a little cheek smooch after putting the bandaid on
-Yk those octopus plushies you can flip inside out; one side is happy while the other is sad?
-He might use those to indirectly tell you how he feels if he doesn’t feel like talking about it lmao
-Getting you one of them as well so that you can do it too
-You two definitely stick to talking about it though, there’s only so much that can be said through a plushie with just two sides 💀
-Knowing when you’re upset without you having to say anything
-So he’d do little things for you to cheer you up like trying to explain your homework (or doing it for you) or doing some of your chores for you
-He might not know what your assignments are about tbh but he’d do lots of research so he can help you!!
-I think he’d prefer doing your chores for you but depending on what’s stressing you out more, he’ll just go with it even if it’s not his preference
-Might tell you to just nap while he does those things since your mood tends to get even worse if you force yourself through the day and work without any rest
-Giving you hugs to comfort you even if you didn’t mention you felt drained and upset
-He has short hair but like trying to put it up like a tiny pineapple on the top of his head using those hair ties that have the balls on them (they’re called ponytail knockers apparently)
-Hangouts with Baji included as well
-As I mentioned in my Baji hc’s, reading manga all together
-Even the most boring activities would quickly become chaotic when the two of them pair up ngl
-So, you’re either the voice of reason or you enable their nonsense
-Having sleepovers where neither of you actually sleep until like 4am because you were talking or watching shows all night
-Taste testing whatever you cook/bake
-He’ll try to be nice about it if it doesn’t turn out well but he’s not a liar, so he’ll give you subtle hints on the fact that you need to improve a bit
-I would say getting piggyback rides from him but he’s kinda short (not sure about after the timeskip but he’s 5′5″ before)
-He’d definitely still try though 😭

How Enhypen babies you Pt: 2
Jay
Tumblr media
Jay’s favorite way to baby you is to give you kisses and dramatic care when you get hurt
whether all that happened was a scraped knee or you actually broke a leg, he will cover you in kisses and rock you back and forth in his arms telling you how strong you are
Jay was helping you learn to ride your new bike and you were getting used to the feeling, but as you took off you couldn’t turn correctly in time and you fell down with the whole bicycle falling on you on the ground
he came running to your rescue yelling your name over and over “Y/N!!! Y/N!! My poor baby!!! Oh my goodness!!! Baby!! You’re okay!!!” He lifted the bike off of you and picked you up carefully. Then he swung you over his shoulder and carried you and the bike back to your home where he sat you on the bed
from there he got his first aid kit from the bathroom and a damp washcloth to pat your wounds. You winced as he dabbed your injuries and a couple tears rolled down your cheek. “Oh baby…” he said wiping your tear with his free hand “you’re so brave, my love.”
As he cleaned up your bloody knees and arms, he readied your bandaids and disinfectant creams with precision and speed. Once he had addressed your wounds, he gave each bandaid a soft kiss and then gave your forehead a kiss too
“You’re so strong, my love,” he said while pulling you into his lap
Jake
Tumblr media
Jake constantly goes above and beyond complimenting you and bragging to others about you
“My girlfriend? She is the most beautiful, adorable, talented, caring, lovely girl in the entire world. She really can do everything and her face is just the most gorgeous face to ever exist. Here look, she’s my wallpaper. My two girls together, see? It’s Y/N hugging Layla!” he beams with pride as he shows everyone who will listen pictures of you
when you come home from work one day you slump onto the bed face first and cry out a scream muffled by the blankets. Immediately Jake comes into the room. “Baby?! You’re home! What’s wrong?” he says while rubbing your back
you sit up and explain that a coworker told you that you dress up too fancy for work and that you’re a try-hard because of it
Jake’s face immediately becomes furious. “What’s her name?!” he says angrily “such rude people shouldn’t be representing a company! I’m going to report this!” he says as he stands up. “No baby no!” you say begging him not to. He looks down at your tear-streaked face and decides to sit back down next to you
“You can’t let anyone talk to you like that, babe. You are the most hardworking, charismatic, and intelligent employee your company has! And if anyone doubts that, they’re mistaken.” Just the thought of anyone insulting you angers Jake. He can’t see how anyone could ever see you as anything but perfect
Sunoo
Tumblr media
sunoo loves to baby talk to you. When you’re looking especially cute or sexy or sad or happy…basically all the time no matter the situation…he will baby talk your ears off
“babyyy…dunoo will give you a kiss now” he giggles as he places a gentle kiss on your nose
when you’re pouting he will squish your cheeks and say in a cute voice “awwww the baby is grumpy” with a big smile on his face the entire time
one day you were doing your math homework but couldn’t seem to understand a single problem. All of them were way too difficult and of course since sunoo is terrible at math too, you were really stuck
you placed your head in your hands and sighed out of frustration. Sunoo saw this as he walked into the room and placed one of his hands on your shoulder “baby” he cooed “I know you can do it! Dunoo believes in you! Fighting!” he cheered as he gave you an encouraging pat on the head and handed you a plate of fresh fruit he prepared for you
he made a cute face and booped your nose excitedly and then gave you a thumbs up
Niki
Tumblr media
niki’s way of babying you is by standing up for you no matter what. When you’re playing a board game with him and the rest of the members, you will get a bad card and make a sad face as you pull it
Niki notices and quickly hands you one of his to trade. Jay notices and laughs out loud “hey! You can’t do that!” he says to Niki
Niki makes a mischievous expression and says “you guys are being so mean to Y/N. I’m just trying to help her”. All of the other members make a commotion at this statement
“Just because she pulled a bad card doesn’t mean you can cheat for her!” exclaims Jake while laughing. “Look at that face,” says Niki suddenly cupping your cheeks in his hands “she deserves a good turn” he says with a convincing smile “because she’s so cute.”
you grin nervously as the members all laugh. “Niki…” starts Heeseung “just because she’s your girlfriend…doesn’t mean you have to be her lawyer. I’m sure she can take care of herself” he laughed
“It’s my job,” says Niki “if I don’t advocate for her, who will?”

Hey I have a request!! Can you write a scenario with Bokuto, Tsukishima, and Sugawara where reader has a LOT of moles/beauty marks? I have 5 on my face alone, 3 in a line on my neck and more. It makes me insecure because it looks weird. Anyways, thank you sooo much! I absolutely love your writing!!!
Warnings: potential swearing as usual, insecurities about beauty marks/moles
Characters: Bokuto Kōtarō, Sugawara Kōshi, Tsukishima Kei, all with a Gender Neutral Reader (let me know if you find something gendered so I can fix it!)
A/N: thank you for the request darling! Sorry for the long wait!! Hope this is what you had in mind :) Also, all of them are right: you are beautiful!
Haikyū Masterlist
Tumblr media
You didn’t understand why Bokuto seemed to only ever kiss your face exactly where you didn’t want him to.
You could stand in the mirror and point out things you didn’t like about yourself but your beauty marks were something you were self conscious about. You used to cover them up with light makeup every now and then but lately you hadn’t had the time or patience for it, so you just avoided looking at them.
But Bokuto, even after months of being together, seemed to somehow feel the opposite. He would press a kiss exactly on the moles on your face and when you were in private, he’d kiss the ones falling down your neck. He seemed so infatuated with them and you could never understand why.
One day he caught you trying to apply makeup again, finally sitting down and trying this new method that could cover up anything according to a makeup artist you’d seen on social media. His eyes wide and you could’ve sworn his hair drooped, “What’re you doing???” He screeched, immediately snatching your makeup from you.
“Bokuto!” You whined, huffing as you paused the YouTube video playing in front of you to pout up at him, “Give it back!”
He shook his head like a four year old, stomping his feet slightly, “Why’re you covering them?” He asked you, hands on his hips now.
There was no point avoiding the topic now. You sighed and glanced at yourself in the mirror, half of them covered and the other half just staring you in the face. “They’re ugly,” you whispered quietly, avoiding his eyes.
“Ugly?” Bokuto scoffed and sat down next to you, hugging his knees to his chest and setting your makeup down. “How could they be ugly?”
You had heard this before. All of your friends and family always went, “No Y/N, you’re perfect!” But it was always so fake. You knew they were just saying it to be nice.
But Bokuto just paused, watching you for a moment and handing you back your makeup. You blinked up at him in surprise, noting his small smile. “If it makes you feel better, go ahead. I want my love to always feel their best. But...” he let out a nervous sort of chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck. “I really like them,” he admitted sheepishly.
You knew he was being honest just because of the rosiness that was touching his cheeks. He squirmed in his spot, now avoiding your gaze. “Why?” You asked after a moment.
Bokuto straightened his posture for a moment before carefully choosing his words, “Someone once told me they were places your partner kissed you the most in your past lives. And...” he hesitated, cheeks glowing red now. “And I’d like to think I was with you in every one of our past lives so I want to keep kissing you there so you’ll love me in our next life too!” He blurted out quickly, rocking a little in his seated position.
You just stared at him. Sure you had heard of that little theory too, but you hadn’t ever had someone seriously retell it to you. But hearing it from him... you looked at yourself in your mirror again. It didn’t change how you felt about them. You still weren’t a huge fan. But hearing Bokuto genuinely love them... at least it lessened your insecurity about him hating them.
“I think you’re beautiful, Y/N,” Bokuto continued after a second, smiling at you and scooting closer to you. “If you need this makeup to help you see how beautiful you are, then go ahead! But I think you’re the most perfect human being out there!”
Your eyes teared up slightly, just hearing how sure he was. He smiled at you, pressing a kiss to your cheek before immediately looking through your makeup bag, “Can I try?” He asked excitedly, holding up a mascara tube and lipstick.
“You want to try wearing it or putting it on me?” You laughed, your face no longer feeling hot with embarrassment and shame.
“Both!” Bokuto grinned, begging you to teach him what each product was. He always knew just how to cheer you up, no matter what.
He knew you still disliked your marks, but Bokuto would continue to kiss them every chance he got unless you ever asked him to stop. He still wanted to recognize you in his next life, so even if those weren’t the marks you’d have, maybe he could give you some others you’d like more.
Tumblr media
Sugawara’s fingers always traced over the beauty marks on your face, beaming when he pointed out that you two were twins for having moles together. He always had a smile on when he talked about it, always spoke about it so proudly like it was a mark of status or beauty.
But unlike Sugawara, you weren’t all that proud of it and you didn’t just have one. You often just gave him a smile and switched the topic, and though you always loved the feeling of his fingers dancing along your skin, sometimes you’d pull away to do something or distract him with something else if you felt like he was touching your marks too much.
He hadn’t realized it before, but came to the realization that maybe you didn’t like your marks when he caught you editing a picture of the two of you, your fingers magically causing those little spots to just disappear.
“What’re you doing?” Sugawara frowned, hugging you from behind and peering from over your shoulder.
“Just editing that pic of us before I post it!” You told him happily - it was such a nice photo and with a few simple touches, it would be perfect.
Sugawara watched you for a little longer, confirming his suspicions before knocking you on the head with the side of his hand.
“Hey! Suga, what the hell?” You groaned, rubbing the top of your head slightly. “What was that for?”
“Stop erasing my baby!” He shouted at you loudly, making you laugh nervously at just how loud he was being.
“I’m not erasing your baby!” You insisted, shaking your hands in front of you. “Just... my marks.”
Sugawara’s frowned stayed on his face as firm as ever, “They’re a part of you. And I love all of you. I love every single inch of your skin, whether you have a mark or not. I love you because you’re not like a cookie cutter version of a person, you stand out in the most beautiful of ways. I want you to be different, I want you to draw all the attention so I can say that one is mine.”
You smiled a little at his words, hearing the conviction in his voice. But your eyes glanced sadly at the photo, just wishing you didn’t have them.
“Hey,” he spoke softer this time, touching your chin up to look at him, “If you really don’t like them, fine. We all have our insecurities after all. But please don’t tell yourself you’re less beautiful because of them.” His hand slipped your phone from your own, peering at your editing work. “You looked like a completely different person,” he admitted with a sort of sad smile. “Still beautiful. But different. I like the version I have here with me.”
Sugawara’s arms were suddenly wrapped around you in a rib-crushing hug, his voice telling you firmly all the things he loved about you and how much he wanted to scream to the world every single thing that made him crazy about you. Eventually you were practically unable to breathe in his arms as they just got tighter and tighter and the two of you fell on the floor laughing after wrestling for a bit.
The photo is eventually posted unedited like he wanted, and now when you look at it, you feel just a little bit more loved, regardless of your marks.
Tumblr media
Tsukishima knew even before you two were going out that you were self conscious of your marks. He didn’t think there was anything wrong with them, to be honest, they made your face that much more attractive, but you hated them so he always pretended like they weren’t there for your sake.
But he had caught you picking at one of them, as if absentmindedly thinking you could tear it off and everything would be okay.
His eyes narrowed as he realized what you were doing, reaching over to swat at your hands, and glaring at you from across the library table where two of you were supposed to be studying.
“If you start bleeding, I’m not taking care of you,” he scolded you, though you knew for a fact that he had started keeping bandaids in his bags for you cause sometimes you were that clumsy.
“Sorry,” you responded sheepishly, folding your hands in front of you in an attempt to stop picking at them. Your eyes focused on the sheet of paper in front of you, but you weren’t able to actually pay attention to anything on it. It was like an itch you couldn’t get rid of, an obnoxious little bump in your otherwise relatively smooth skin. Why did it have to be there?
Tsukishima watched as your eyes stayed still on your homework, obviously not actually reading anything. He sighed and reached over again, poking at your nose, “If you think I’m going to let you destroy your grades and your perfect body, I’ll hit you harder than I have before,” he threatened. He meant to say it gentler, in a somewhat more supportive and comforting way but his words were still as harsh as ever.
You gave him another shy smile, trying not to show just how uncomfortable you were, “They just get annoying sometimes,” you told him after a moment when he didn’t immediately go back to his work. “I feel like if I could tear them all off... maybe I’d look better.”
Tsukishima’s nose scrunched up slightly in annoyance, tilting his head up so his eyes were glaring down at you, “Do you think I’m going to let anyone talk about my partner like that? Idiot, if I heard those words from anyone else I would have your head by now."
You laughed a little, thinking about how Tsukishima got upset if anyone even said something remotely mean about you (”The only one allowed to bully you is me, Y/N, forget anyone else’s opinions. They’re all beneath you anyways”), “I just feel so... spotted with them. I feel like everyone always looks at them and there’s so many of them I can’t even hide them all.”
Tsukishima listened, he really did. He didn’t wave you off like usual and tell you to forget your insecurities because you were definitely the most perfect person out there so you had nothing to be insecure about. He listened and then just sighed, leaning back in his seat slightly and watching you.
“I think you’re magnificent,” he stated quietly, his eyes dashing away from yours as a blush brushed over his cheeks and nose. “I don’t want you picking at them because you’re just going to hurt yourself and I don’t want you to hurt yourself.” He paused for a second and then finally met your eyes. “Yamaguchi used to hate his freckles, but it’s probably the thing that I notice the most about him. They fit him so well in a way that I can’t describe. He wouldn’t be the same without them, he’d just be... someone else. Without your marks, you’d be someone completely different. I’m in love with you and all of you.”
You watched him as Tsukishima actually told you his emotions and spilled his love for you, a smile gracing your lips eventually, “I love you too, Tsukishima,” you mumbled after he finished, playing with your fingers.
“You better. Now come over here and give me a kiss before we start studying again,” Tsukishima smirked a little and you just rolled your eyes. You were going to argue back that he could just lean over the table and kiss you but he refused so you ended up having to go over to him, where he just pulled you on your lap and placed a quick kiss on your lips then on all the marks on your face. “Now go study.”

haikyuu!! as types of best friends.
➼ ft. hinata, sugawara, bokuto, osamu+atsumu.
➼ playlist. talk too much - coin, higher - banks, romanticism - mrs green apple, me and my friends - james vincent mcmorrow
➼ a/n. these have light bff2l undertones hhn i love that trope, pls forgive me. </3 + there’s some timeskip spoilers for atsumu & osamu’s part.
Tumblr media
❀ hinata :-
i wish the childhood best friends trope a very good evening.
no one’s better than hinata at making friends, even if you met after he spiked a ball into your face. you’re childhood best friends too !! so imagine being a child and having to pick up this goofball by the scruff, who has the audacity to ask you to play with him after giving you a scratched up forehead and teary eyes from a ball to the face. but, like, you were the one who said yes so it’s on you :-)
sometimes you bicker but it’s ok bc he would literally go to the ends of the earth for you if you asked. no kidding. he hates sitting still anyway so he’ll just gravitate towards where you are like you’re the sun. also gets you taiyaki in the evenings but climbs in through your window instead of using the front door like a normal person. (he has too much energy </3) if you hear someone yelling your name outside your window and ranting about volleyball games, you know who it is.
ok when he makes you mad with his bullheadedness, you'll be complaining with kageyama (who agrees vehemently) and hinata gets pissy bc you get along a little too well when you're throwing insults about him. (he's not jealous, no, of course not.) but.. how long can you stay mad at this sunshine child anyway?? you'll be pretending you never got mad at all within a few hours and go back to joking around.
he gets distracted if you're watching a match sometimes (bokuto somehow got it into his head that he needs to show off in front of you) so you got banned from watching. he overcomes it later on so you can cheer him on in his jersey too <3
gives you ALL his attention when you talk or even complain about your life. he reacts a lot to whatever you have to say so you have to pretend there aren’t people behind you glaring at hinata for having the same decibel sound level as a jet engine.
you have matching keychains you bought at a local fair !!! (you got a pochacco one for hinata but it’s super worn out by now so he keeps it in his wallet instead.)
he has not won a single multiplayer video game against you (*cough cough* mario kart *cough*) and you don’t even have to be good at it. if you call him a loser, he’ll lose even harder. gets unnecessarily mad at just dance and you have to calm him down.
... you’ve probably kissed bc the two of you (mostly him) were too eager for a first kiss and you got fed up with his pubescent ramblings and ended up kissing him. and then had an early mid-life crisis bc you guys are definitely just friends. (unless.. unless he doesn’t think that way.. surprise surprise 😳) also he's.. kind of bad for make out practice... it’s like kissing a month old puppy.. sorry :/. if you happen to make a lot of offhand comments and tease him about his kissing skills, he WILL turn tomato red and argue in gibberish. only do that in private bc the rest of the world thinks you’re sickeningly cute together >:(
overall, your best friend is a ball of sunshine (who occasionally pisses you off) and your #1 motivation to get out of bed. it's mostly bc he's somehow there to get you out of bed though you've repeatedly told him to not climb in through your window. at least the sun is smiling upon you every day <3
❀ sugawara :-
being best friends with him is such a secure relation !!
he’s your soft place to fall but also would provide gentle (not so gentle) reminders for your wellbeing (STUDY!!! WATER!!!! BREAKFAST!!). doesn’t get mad when you say you skipped breakfast but gives you this look of disappointment which is 100x more effective. still gets a granola bar for you though. also he literally carries bandaids for u and he’s been doing that since second grade bc you fell off the swing ONCE. you know, just in case. if you’re an accident-prone hazard to society, you’re in luck.
BEST HUGS especially if you had a rough day and want to sob into his shoulder. if u damage his $85 hoodie tho, he will make u do his laundry and also buy snacks for him. but like he is so soft (his skin is SUPER soft bc he actually follows a skincare routine now) and cuddly like a teddy bear, it's a small price to pay for salvation.
he will hype you up for anything you do !!!! new outfit? offers to be your personal photographer. scored an A+? will treat u to your fav ice-cream. new job? will tell everyone just how proud he is.
ALWAYS shares the last bite with you and smiles to himself when you eat it so contented. also!!! hanging out at cafes and taking cute pictures is a must <3 even though you’re not dating, you’ll have photos together that make you look a real couple which ensue teasing from daichi and asahi and admiration/jealousy from noya and tanaka. also he gets weirdly protective of you around the team (i’m looking at the moron quartet) and you have to pull the “koushi you’re not my mom” card. it really strikes a chord with him when you say that out loud.
will egg your ex's house with you if you say the word. somehow gets more pissed than you at your ex (if they're a shitty one). it's kind of scary when he's mad too so.... good luck calming him down. he's also really good at sarcastic trash talk so if you happen to meet your ex on the street... send prayers for their self-esteem.
you don't really fight often but if you happen to disagree, he'll go about it in a pretty mature way and talk it out. if you pick a fight on purpose, he'll catch on to it and either tickle you (excessively) or flick your forehead as punishment for trying to rile him up. it’s impossible to prank him!!!!! it’s like he’s got a sixth sense or something so you might as well give up on anything of the sort.
you said you want to get a dog (or cat) with him in the near future and he somehow equated that to having children. turned bright red and started saying it’s too soon to be thinking of that while you had daichi stop you from smacking some sense into your overly imaginative best friend. (i mean, you do need to live together if you want to raise a pet sooo)
his lockscreen is a picture of the two of you so a lot of people who try to hit on him take the hint quick. he says it’s unintentional but you know he can be terribly scheming at times. if you say something like “why don’t you date me for real, coward” he will malfunction and not be able to look you in the eye. (“don’t joke around, y/n” “what if i’m not” “it kind of feels illegal to date you” “what do you mean?!💢”)
anyway you are one lucky mf if you have sugawara koushi as your best friend even if there are both ups and downs (mostly ups). having someone care for you so blatantly certainly makes the question of romance arise but you’re content with the most loving best friend ever.
❀ bokuto :-
you guys are the “two best friends in a room, we might kiss” “yes we will” “what” type of best friends PLS
it doesn’t matter what stage of life you met him, it’ll feel like you’ve been best friends since the beginning of time.
it’s just so easy to make friends with this airhead and by god’s gift, you cannot physically get annoyed at this man. sometimes his friends will complain about him being forgetful or blunt but you’re just there like. yeah. that’s bokuto. love him for it. (you seem to have a lot of patience.)
he probably gets into trouble with authority unwittingly, so save your weekends to sweet talk his way out after accidentally implying the coach has a weak mindset. afterwards, you go get ice cream or something and hang out at the dog park to forget it happened. (the amount of second hand embarrassment bokuto has given you though... you need some hard drugs to forget all of it.)
you probably make a lot of friends through him in high school/college but at the end of the day, it’s just you and him and sometimes akaashi making sure you guys are alive. if you guys are alone together on a friday night, you’ll still be having fun!! very often, it takes shape as karaoke :-) bokuto thinks he’s really great at rapping for some reason (he’s not) so cue you screaming the lyrics in an attempt to ruin your part of the song equally. also he always sets the key wrong??? although you sing the same songs each time?? sometimes he picks a song neither of you have ever heard and the both of you try to guess the melody. he’s terrible at it but at least he’s funny. there’s not a single song he hasn’t had a voice crack in.
if you go clubbing/partying with him, get prepared to be introduced as the friend of “the guy who did four keg stands in a row before proceeding to do a cartwheel unprompted and somehow not throw up”. is on first name basis with the bartenders/hosts and gets you free drinks. also gets hit on often but is oblivious unless they’re being very straightforward. if he’s not into them... you have to pull the s/o card and save his ass. oh also he barks at anyone that gets near your drink.
will always exaggerate when introducing you to new people. “y/n and i met when i saved them from drowning a terrible death.” “it was the children’s pool and you were the one that was screaming.” “and then y/n didn’t really thank me but it’s not like heroes need thanks to do the right thing.” “kou, i will push you into a pool right now, let’s see how well you swim.” (he learned swimming to impress you so joke’s on you.)
he likes to watch you do stuff at the end of the day, so if you see him go o_o at you doing homework, you can just put your earphones on and focus on your work. even if he’s making.. a strangely.. adorable expression. also LOVES to listen to you talk about your day when he’s tired, he says it helps him sleep better (so expect a lot of nighttime calls). moreover, if you say you had a bad dream, he’ll comfort you with his ridiculously confident tone of voice (unless the dream was about something bad happening to him, then he’ll freak out and you’ll have to comfort him instead </3)
ok one thing that’s annoying about him is that he probably leaves food crumbs over your stuff like laptop, bed sheet, etc. you clean it up but bokuto.. is a bit... distracted to notice the mess he’s making. it’s usually pretty difficult to get him to be more aware, but like your glare is enough to make him at least try to be careful from the next time. (either that or he’s become sensitive to your change in mood/emotions bc you know... you’re best friends after all.)
i’m not gonna lie, he probably catches feelings for you at some point. he wants to, like, keep it lowkey bc akaashi told him to take your feelings into consideration too but?? it’s so hard?? you’re literally so pretty?? everything you say is like music to him??? he reacts reflexively to all the firecracker feelings u give him. he probably says he likes you all the time but you dismiss it with “as a friend right :-)”. there’s no climbing up from that one, sorry bokuto.
to summarize, if a moody golden retriever was your human best friend.exe
❀ miya twins :-
they feel like a set. it would be strange to have one of the twins as a bff and not have the other one around whoops 🤷‍♀️
either you and osamu bully atsumu in your free time, or you and atsumu annoy osamu for fun (or both) <3. it’s always a good idea to team up with osamu and prank atsumu for fun btw. (put wasabi in his breakfast pancakes and you’ll get a very pissed off but weirdly cute tsumtsum. you can blame it on osamu if you don’t want to face his wrath.) your alternative is to embarrass osamu in front of strangers with atsumu, have fun with that. (second hand embarrassment also works.)
when you were younger, you pretended to not be able to distinguish the twins bc it would visibly rile atsumu up and then you’d go “ok you’re atsumu”... which would further rile him up. osamu got used to your shenanigans though it ticked him off the first time too LOL. call them the wrong name on purpose and they’ll start a riot; be careful when you’re playing with fire pls.
you guys played a lot of knight and prince/princess/royal when you were a kid and atsumu would always try to make osamu the evil dragon holding you captive. in the end, you were somehow the knight, osamu the prince to be rescued and atsumu the big, bad dragon. (it’s kind of funny in hindsight. your parents have photographs of the three of you fighting like no tomorrow.) also speaking of which, your parents are also friends and have bets on which twin you’ll marry (or if you will at all). it’s tearing your parents’ friendship apart.
these two have DEFINITELY fought over whose jersey number you’re going to wear to the games ( “oi, ‘samu, stop brainwashing my best friend into wearing your stupid double digit number” “you know i’m the best friend, ‘tsumu. they clearly like me better over yer ratty ass.” “what did ya say?!?!? if anything, you’re the one that looks like ratatouille.”) you wore kita's jersey number to games.
imagine sunday picnics with the boys !!! by that, i specifically mean osamu and his perfect bento boxes <3 sometimes the two of you will cook together before your outings while a sulking atsumu stands outside bc you didn’t let him. (let him in, you monsters.) he says he can cook too but the last time the twins’ bickering almost burnt the whole kitchen down. the picnics continue well into adulthood and you get to diss your boss to the twins who will always support your rants. (sometimes atsumu will tell you it’s your fault but you can smack him off. we only need supportive besties here 🙄)
if someone hurts u.... they’re going to need divine intervention to be safe... you have two well-built, physically adept best friends ready to beat the shit out of anyone who deliberately breaks ur heart.
when the twins get into a physical fight...... oh boy. it kinda pisses you off that they’re spewing profanity at each other and you’re the one getting glares. but at the same time, you don’t really want to step into a fight that has nothing to do with you. people should solve their interpersonal issues on their own. they have never fought over you, this isn’t twilight <3
but the question did come up once on which twin you like better; it’s not something to seriously fight over though. if you chose osamu, atsumu will complain for six days straight and you’ll start to regret ever answering the question. if you say atsumu, osamu won’t feed you his onigiri anymore for a few days which is just as bad. the safest choice is to say neither bc it will both be funny and you won’t suffer too many consequences. if you say you love the both of them for being your best friends all this time and go all mushy, there’s a slight chance they’ll go soft too. god help you from the bone crushing hug you’re about to receive 🙏
you make sure to not miss any of atsumu’s official games !! sometimes he’ll wave at you and make the reporters give you hell bc he’s a little shit. just push osamu to them and run away if it gets that bad. (he gets free advertising for his shop, he should be grateful.)
osamu is super good at cheering you up!!! whether it’s with food or with pleasant talk, you’ll be feeling much better with a full stomach and a calmer state of mind. as for atsumu, he’s really good at you cheering you up by distracting you. he’ll talk about his team or this new serve he learnt and the world will seem a lot brighter bc he seems so happy about it. whichever twin you go to, it’s win-win.
in return, the twins take up a good chunk of your time. sometimes atsumu will crash at your place after a game though you’ve told him to not lead the damn reporters here. osamu makes you taste test his experimental onigiri... which are not always good..... no seriously, why’d he put honey and tuna in there ?? but still, your life is ridiculously colorful with them around.
anyway, what can i say except what’s better than one best friend?? two best friends !!!

horrible father.
Tumblr media
Summary: Single father Steve struggles to make ends meet and enlists the help of his neighbour to help raise his daughter while he boxes at night to be able to provide for his daughter. [singledad!boxer!]
Warnings: self shaming, also some suggestive content.
A/N: As promised in my last post, here’s the Steve fic 💛 - Amanda
»»————- ★ ————-««
It was like clockwork, you would wake up, get dressed, dress Carmella, take her to school, go to work, have Steve pick up Carmella, care for her until you come home at around 6, Steve would go to work, and you would care about Carmella throughout the night.
You would have assumed that Carmella is your daughter and Steve was her father, and only part of that statement was right, Steve was her dad, but you were not her mom. Steve was the cute single dad who lived across the hallway from you. You felt bad as he was constantly working to be able to provide for Carmella, during the day he worked at Brooklyn Museum as a security guard 5 days a week, and during the night he was boxing at an underground club 5 days a week.
Carmella was the brightest 6 year old you’ve ever met, her long blonde hair, and bright blue eyes. She was an embodiment of Steve.
You remember meeting them the first day that they moved in, Carmella came over with the brightest smile and a basket of cookies from the bakery down the street. Steve was a sight for sore eyes, and you always wondered if her mom was in the equation.
That question was answered one night when you were coming home late from a night out with Nebula and Hope, and Steve was coming home at the same time.
His face had several cuts and bruises, and there were patches of dried blood around his mouth. Your heart hurt and invited him over to clean his cuts.
He sat on your couch, while you sat on the floor cleaning the cuts from his face, occasionally saying, “Sorry,” when he winced at the alcohol touching his open wound.
“You don’t have to do this, you know?” He asked, looking at you.
“I chose to. Did you want to shower? Then I can wrap your wounds,” you said, looking at him.
“Uh yeah, will you be awake? I don’t want to keep you up.” Steve said.
“Of course. I’ll leave the door open, welcome yourself in if I’m not in the living room.” You said.
As Steve was getting up, he reached his hand out to help you up off the ground. You took his hand and stood up, “I’ll see you in 20,” he said before leaving your apartment.
Once he pulled in the door behind him, you rushed to take a shower before he came back. You wore one of your old university hoodies and a pair of leggings and tossed your hair into a messy bun and headed back to the living room. Steve wasn’t here yet, so you turned on the kettle and waited for him to come back. He came back in a pair of sweatpants and a white shirt, “Where did you want me?” He asked.
“Anywhere is fine. Did you want tea?” You asked.
“Sure,” he responded, you took out another cup and placed a tea bag into the cup and met him back in the living room.
You were applying ointment to the cut near the cheekbone, “You went to Columbia?”
“Yeah, I majored in English lit and minored in astronomy. What about you?” You asked, applying more ointment to his face.
“I went to NYU, I did history and anthro. But I dropped out in fourth year.” He said, watching you unpeel the bandaid from the wrapper. “I had to care for Carmella, and it was hard to go between school and her. She deserves a good life, so I dropped out of school.”
You awed at the fact that he was willing to drop everything, especially so close to him graduating just so he can care for his daughter. “You’re doing great Steve, don’t be hard on yourself.”
“I’m a single dad, who works minimum wage at a museum during the day, and box for money at night. I can’t even see my daughter because I’m always busy working. She isn’t even home, she’s at Bucky’s house. Him and Nat practically raise her.” He muttered.
You took his face in your hands, “Steve, you are doing better than most dads. Some completely walk out of their kids lives because it wasn’t what they wanted. Some dads don’t buy their kids anything. You are trying your best and that’s all that matters. One day she’s going to look back and appreciate everything you did for her.” You reassured him.
He smiled sadly, and took your hand in his,  “Thank you.”
“If you ever need anything, you can always bring Carmella over. I don’t mind having a buddy,” You smiled.
“I’ll think about it,” Steve responded. “So what about that tea?”
That same night you learned that Steve was in a relationship with a woman named Sharon who was a few years older than he was. She got pregnant, and couldn’t afford to risk her career for Carmella, and pressured Steve to drop out and care for Carmella. He popped the question and was planning to marry the following year, until he woke up one night and she was gone. From there on, Steve was constantly trying to provide for Carmella, leaving Carmella in the arms of Bucky and Nat.
»»————- ★ ————-««
On weekends, you would try and steal Carmella for a few hours just for Steve to get some rest. Whether you were baking cookies and needed a sous chef, had to go shopping and needed a second pair of hands, or you knew a cute toy store and wanted to show her.
From there, Carmella loved you so much. She always slipped little drawings under your door, or were always pressuring Steve to drop off something from the bakery whenever they bought stuff. And it didn’t help that you always welcomed her with open arms.
»»————- ★ ————-««
It was a Friday night and you had a half day at work, so you came home and cleaned up before making yourself comfortable on your couch.
You heard a knock on the door at around 7:45, and got up and saw a disheveled Steve. “Hey I’m so sorry to bother you. I’m pretty sure you have plans, but Bucky and Nat had something out of town at the last minute and there’s no one else to watch her. Could you-” Steve was rambling at that point.
“Of course I don’t mind watching Carmella.” You smiled, “Come on in love,” you cooed to Carmella.
Carmella was all bouncy and excited, “Can we watch movies and braid hair?” She asked.
“Of course, go in. I’ll meet you on the couch.” You smiled at her as she waltzed into your living room, you took the bag from Steve, “Did you bathe her? Or should I?” You asked.
He sheepishly said, “Could you?”
“Of course. Now, knock ‘em dead soldier. I’ll have your daughter tomorrow morning.” You smiled.
“Thank you,” he kept profusely saying while walking down the hallway and eventually disappearing.
You closed the door after he left and made your way to the couch where Carmella was sitting hugging her teddy bear. “Did you eat baby?” You said, guiding her to the washroom.
“No, can we get McDonalds?” She asked, looking up at you with her big blue eyes.
“Let’s both get cleaned up, and we can get dinner, okay?” You said.
“Okay.”
»»————- ★ ————-««
You gave Carmella her bathe, and put her to watch Winx Club as you went to take a quick shower. Once you were done, you ordered her a happy meal, and got a nugget meal for yourself. The two of you sat in silence, munching on your dinner. Once you were done, you cleaned up and she snuggled into your side. Carmella eventually fell asleep, and you took her to your room. You barricaded the edge of your bed with pillows on one-side so she didn’t fall off, and your body was on the other side. You didn’t sleep, but took out the transcript for one of the articles you had to edit for work by Monday.
Eventually sleep overtook you and you fell asleep next to Carmella. The next morning you woke up to Carmella playing with the ends of your hair, “Good morning,” she murmured.
“Good morning love, you sleep okay?” You asked, and she snuggled into your chest.
“Yeah,” she murmured again, as you played with her hair.
“Why don’t we go clean you up? Then we can go see daddy?” You said, your fingers along her scalp.
“Okay.”
»»————- ★ ————-««
Once you get Carmella showered, and you showered. You were hanging out in the living room. You heard a knock on your door and knew it was Steve. You got up and opened it to him barely scratched, but with two coffees, an apple juice and bag of bagels in his hand. He had a sheepish smile on his face, “Can I thank you with some breakfast?”
You giggled, “Come on in.”
“I didn’t know how you took your coffee, so there’s some cream and sugar in the bag.” He followed you into the living room, and sat with the two of you on the floor and enjoyed your bagels, while watching reruns of The Looney Tunes.
He helped you clean up, and left Carmella within eyesight to watch the cartoons on tv. “Thank you so much for watching her,” he said, washing the last plate and handing it off to you so you can dry it.
You took the plate from his hand, dried it and placed it in the stack that has to go back into the cabinet. “It’s not a problem, Steve.” You said reaching to put it back in the cabinet.
You turned about and he tried handing you $300 cash, “As compensation.” You shook your head, “I can’t accept that Steve.”
“Please, you didn’t have to care for her. Yet you still did.”
“How about you take that money and buy her some books, toys and whatever she wants. That’s the only way I would accept payments.”
“You got it sugar.”
»»————- ★ ————-««
From there it was like Carmella was your own kid. You would watch Carmella at night, take her to school the next morning, head to work after dropping her off, have Steve pick her up at 3, feed her dinner and do homework with her, drop her off at your place at 8, and it happened all over again.
Steve didn’t mean to throw her into the mix, but she was always there to help. He always tried to compensate by buying you dinner or giving you money to get dinner for yourself. You would always spend that money on Carmella, whether it was getting her toys, buying her clothes or getting her personal care items.
Your boss gave you the afternoon off, you decided to head out shopping with one of your close friends Wanda, as she had the day off.
“You still caring for Carmella?” Wanda asked, and held up two different lace bodysuits, “Navy or white?”
“What colour do you own less of? And yeah, I don’t mind. I love the little pumpkin.” You said, searching through a different rack for pants.
“White. I never thought I would see you being a mommy in my life,” she teased. “Get the white one then. It’s a change of events for the both of us.” You laughed.
Wanda continued to interrogate you and your relationship with Steve as you two walked the mall. The two of you entered this small lingerie store and started browsing around. “Okay but why won’t you date Daddy Rogers?” she winked, you looked at her disgusted, “What? He’s an actual daddy, so you can call him that.”
Absolutely mortified, “That is absolutely disgusting and I can never say that word ever again because of you.”
“I aim to please,” she giggled.
“Honestly? Steve works so hard to be able to provide for Carmella, I don’t want to add another burden onto him.” You said looking at a black lingerie set, and running your fingers through it.
“The one time I was over, he looked at you like you hung the stars and moon, and he is willing to do anything for you.” Wanda said referring to the time Wanda came over in the middle of the night because her and her then boyfriend, Quentin had a massive argument and witnessed the two of you in the next morning.
“Are you saying that because he bought you French Toast?” You teased.
“Hey, he wins my vote because he bought me breakfast from The Golden Spoon. Hey, can you look at me real quick?” She said, you turned around, “Do you think Vis would like one piece or the two piece?”
You looked at the two, “Definitely the two piece.”
Turning back, you looked at a cute baby pink two piece lace and sheer set. You felt Wanda’s presence behind you. “He wears red, white and blue to the ring. Get something with his signature colours.
You felt your cheeks burn up, “And how do you know this?”
“Pietro went to one of his fights.” She shrugged it off.
»»————- ★ ————-««
After your interrogative shopping trip with Wanda, you made your way home and expected Carmella to be over. You got your bed ready for Carmella and barricaded the side of her bed. It was 7:30 and you heard the door knock. Opening the door, Carmella’s little body made a beeline to your living room, not even greeting you.
Steve sent you an apologetic nod, “I’m sorry about that. She’s been acting up since I picked her up. She wouldn’t even talk to me, please try and get her to eat something.”
You nodded, “Of course. Good luck soldier, knock ‘em dead. Oh and, if you’re in need of a nurse, let yourself in.” You referred to the key you gave him in case he wanted to see Carmella one night.
He smiled, “Goodnight doll,” he said before walking off.
»»————- ★ ————-««
You walked back to the living room and saw Carmella on the couch, hugging her white teddy bear so tight. “You okay love?”
She shook her head no, “How about we get you all cleaned up, get some chicken nuggets for dinner, then we can talk about it?”
“Can I have one of the sparkly baths?” She said referring to a bath bomb that you gave her the last time she was upset.
“Of course love, meet me in the washroom?” You asked.
Carmella nodded her head and went to the washroom and you went and grabbed one of the Lush bathrooms from the closet next to the washroom. Upon going to the washroom, you turned on the water to her usual temperature. “Can you come in?” She asked, looking down.
“Whatever you want love.”
The blue, pink, yellow and violet sparkly water surrounded the two of you. You leaned against the cold porcelain of the tub and watched her play with the usual duck and doll she has when she bathes. “Aunty?” She called out.
“Yes sweetheart?” You asked.
“Does daddy love me?” She asked.
“Of course he does sweetheart, why would you think that?” You asked brushing some of the blonde hair out of her face.
“I was talking to these girls and said that, ‘daddy doesn’t love me, that’s why he doesn’t want to hang out with me.’”
You looked at her and noticed how sad she looked, you ran your hand through her hair, “Sweetheart, the way daddy talks about you, is like you are the only person he loves. He loves you more than you can imagine.”
“Then why doesn’t he spend time with me?” She asked softly.
“He is working to make sure you can get all the toys, and clothes, and books you want.” You responded, and she crawled onto your lap and snuggled herself into your chest. “He wants to make sure you’re happy. You being happy makes him happy.”
“So daddy does love me?” She asked.
“Of course he does sweetheart.”
“What about mommy?” Carmella asked, peering up at you with her big blue eyes.
“I don’t know your mommy, but I bet she loves you. Who couldn’t love you?” You asked.
“Why doesn’t she hang out with me?” Carmella said, sadness evident in her voice.
“She might be busy, sweetheart. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t love you,” you tried reassuring her.
“Do you love me?”
“Of course sweetheart. I love you more than you love Mr. Snuggles,” you said, booping her nose.
She snuggled closer into your chest, “As long as you and daddy love me, I’m happy.”
“Alright love, how about we get you all showered and we can get you the nuggets I promised you?” You asked.
Carmella nodded excitedly as you drained the water. You gave her a fresh bath, applied lotion to her and put her in some new Hello Kitty pyjamas. You left her in the living room with Paw Patrol on the tv before taking a shower for yourself.
Upon getting out, you noticed Carmella sitting on the floor playing with one of her dolls waiting for you. Shooting her a questionable look, she responded, “I missed you.” Letting out an awe, you kissed her head and proceeded to moisturize yourself and put on a shirt that you stole from Steve and some baby blue shorts.
You ordered McDonalds like you promised, and the two of you watched Space Jam. Once Carmella was done, she cuddled into you like normal. By the time the movie was done, Carmella was fast asleep. Picking her up, you put her in bed and barricaded both sides of her.
»»————- ★ ————-««
You couldn’t sleep so you just decided to edit one of the novels that you had to get done by the end of the month while some wrestling reruns play in the background. You were so submerged in your reading, you didn’t notice that it was nearing 2:30. “Whatcha reading doll?” He asked.
You jumped and he chuckled, “Something for wo-” When you looked at him you noticed he was bruised and bloodied, “Oh god! Steve, go to the couch, I’ll clean you up,” you ushered him to the couch while you rushed to get the first aid kit.
You came back and got right to work on trying to clean his cuts. You apologized every time he winced when the alcohol touched his cuts. “Did Mella ever talk to you about what happened?”
“Yeah, she’s better now,” you said cleaning the cut close to his jaw.
“Some girls at school made her upset, so I had to tell her it was okay,” you said while dowsing another cotton ball in rubbing alcohol.
“What did they say?” He asked, you didn’t wanna say, so you stayed silent for a minute. He looked at you with his bright blue eyes, the same way Carmella would do it, “Please?”
“They were saying that you didn’t love her.” You said, hoping he didn’t hear you. He groaned, “No, no, no.”
“What’s wrong?”
“I didn’t want her to feel unloved. I just wanted to be able to provide for her, not have her think I don’t like her. I’m a horrible father.”
“You are not a horrible father, okay?” You said, looking at him, “You do so much for her that she doesn’t realize yet because she’s so young. You try your absolute hardest to make sure she’s happy, even if that hurts you in the process. Do not listen to what a bunch of seven year olds have to say. They don’t know what you go through to make her happy. I bet their dads don’t do half of what you do.” You said reassuring him.
“Thank you,” he said, giving your hand a squeeze. “Can I borrow your shower? Then you can wrap me up?”
You nodded. Steve got up and helped you up. You finally realized how close to two of you are. One of his arms snuck around your waist and pulled you closer, your arms instinctively wrapped around his neck. Before you could understand what was happening your lips moved in harmony against his.
You broke the kiss when you needed air. He rested his forehead against yours and pecked your lips, which resulted in you letting out a giggle. “Go shower, you smell like sweat.”
“Alright, alright. But hey doll, how about next Saturday, I drop Mella off at Bucky’s, and I take the night off from boxing and take you on a well deserved date and maybe you can show me some of that red lingerie you bought.” You were confused as to what he was referring to, until you saw where his eyes were looking.
The black bag that contained the lingerie set you bought with Wanda earlier today, “How did you…?” You looked at him.
“I may have taken a peak,” he sheepishly said, leaning down and giving you another peck.
You let out a groan, and punched him in the shoulder. “Go shower.” “I may be a boxer and take beatings, but damn doll that one hurt.” He said, before making his way to the washroom.

Since Mina can't go home due to the pandemic, they do google meets to talk to her kids and her wives. Nico playing doctor to her stuff toys and have assisstant Mina help her by talking thru the screen 🥺 ‐🍊
this is different than the au au quarantine btw
Ever since Mina had made the difficult decision to isolate herself from her family in the interest of her safety, everyone had suffered. Mina was miserable at work and then she didn’t even get to come home to her family. The kids were upset they weren’t in school and then they didn’t even get to play with Ka-san after. Nico missed her Ka-san and cuddling with her. Sana and Tzuyu just missed their wife.
They had started doing family facetime calls to make the separation a bit more bearable. Sai and the triplets would usually start it off before darting off to play some kind of game or do homework. After they ran off Sana and Tzuyu took over the call, smiling at their wife and asking her about work. Nico usually stayed quiet, hugging her stuffed animal and watching her parents in her mama’s lap.
“Nico sweetie, you look like you have something to say.” Sana giggled as she looked at her little one, who was looking at her mom with wide eyes.
“I want to ask something of Ka-san.” Nico nodded. She had always been funny on video calls, she always thought her parents had to talk first and she could only talk to her ka-san after they were done, which didn’t make sense to her parents, but Nico had always been a weird specific child.
“What is it sweetie?” Mina looked at Nico, who looked so cute in Tzuyu’s lap.
“Ka-san can you help me? I think Shirokuma is sick…” Nico looked at her Ka-san. “Ka-san is a doctor right?” “I would love to help you sweetie.” Mina giggled at how adorable Nico was. “Do any of your other friends need a doctor?” “Some of them have boo boos.” Nico nodded.
“Okay. Let’s go check them out yeah?” Ever since lockdown had started, Nico hadn’t had the opportunity to play with her friends her own age much. She could play with her sisters, but they were older than her, and if she played with them it was different from how she played with other three year olds. Mina, Sana, and Tzuyu had all sat down and talked about what they were going to do about Nico, as she was the most vulnerable person in their family. But three was a valuable age, and she needed to be able to play with other toddlers and learn to communicate and make friends. At the beginning of lockdown they had all watched as Nico seemed to be more and more down, always watching tv by herself. She couldn’t keep up with her big sisters playing, as much as she tried. To help her out, they had set up a few virtual playdates with Haeun and Hina, on top of entertaining Nico’s playing whenever she wanted to. “Want me to carry the camera?” Tzuyu asked Saana, putting Nico down on the floor to run off to her bedroom.
“Sure.” Sana nodded. “I’ll start on lunch. The older ones will be starving after all their playing outside.” “Sure.” Tzuyu nodded, picking up her laptop to carry it to Nico’s room. She put the laptop on the floor and sat on the floor by Nico. “So who should we start with first?” Mina asked Nico, watching as she gathered her stuffed animals.
“Shirokuma!” “Okay. Tzuyu can you get Nico’s doctor kit?” Mina asked “I can get it!” Nico smiled, running off to her toy closet to get it.
“How’s she doing?” Mina asked once Nico was out of earshot.
“She’s doing good. She was a bit bad yesterday, but she’s doing better today.” Tzuyu smiled at Mina, adjusting her seating position. “Sai and Saki threw her a tea party this morning, she was really happy about it.” “Oh I’m sure she was.” Mina laughed. “I miss you guys…” “Don’t get soft of me Myoui.” Tzuyu sighed. “We miss you too-”
“Ka-san!” Nico giggled as she ran to Mina. She was wearing a doctor’s coat and carrying a plastic pink box.
“Are you ready for duty doctor Nico?” “Yes doctor Ka-san!” Nico smiled.
“Alright, get out the thermometer so we can take Shirokuma’s temperature.” Nico looked a bit confused as she looked through her toy doctor kit. “Here, it’s this one.” Tzuyu helped Nico, pulling out a fake thermometer.
“Got it!” The alphas both smiled at the toddler. “Shirokuma ahh.” Nico put the thermometer in the stuffed animals both, pressing the toys button. “Uh-oh it’s red!” “Oh no.” Mina giggled at her little one. “How about we give Shirokuma some medicine?” Nico nodded, digging through her kit and getting a fake medicine bottle. She pretended to open it, giving shirokuma a fake pill. “Now let’s let him rest while we look at some of the others.” Nico nodded, going over to her bed and tucking her stuffed animal into it. “Nico, your coat is dragging.” Tzuyu giggled at her daughter.
“Doctor Nico!” Nico insisted.
“Sorry, doctor Nico.” Tzuyu laughed. “Let’s fix that for you so you don’t trip.” Nico nodded and Tzuyu began folding up the bottom of the coat.
“Have you had a good day doctor Nico?” Mina asked as she watched Tzuyu help Nico.
“Uhm. Unnies and I had tea.” Nico giggled. Mina couldn’t help but want to hold her daughter. When she finally went home, she knew she was going to hug Nico for at least an hour. Probably more. She was going to hug each of the kids tightly, before falling into Sana and Tzuyu’s arms.
“I heard. Did you like it?” “Yeah!” “Okay doctor Nico, you're all set.” Tzuyu smiled at Nico. “Okay, why don’t we check on Mr. Giraffe next?” Mina asked, looking at Nico’s stuffed giraffe.
“Mr. Giraffe has a boo boo.” Nico said, examining her stuffed animal. “What do we do with boo boos?” “Bandaids!” Nico smiled.
“That’s right sweetheart.” Mina smiled at her daughter, watching Nico wrap a fake bandaid on the giraffe's neck messily. Afterwards Nico grabbed the fake stethoscope from her bag. “I’m like doc mcstuffins.” Nico giggled, putting it around her neck. “Yeah? You are.” Mina laughed at her daughter’s mention of one of her favorite tv shows. Sae had loved that show as a baby too. “Mama!” Nico put the end of the stethoscope on Tzuyu’s chest.
“Can you hear it?” Tzuyu asked, helping Nico put the plastic stethoscope in her ears.
“Uh-uh.” Nico nodded. “Breathe.” “Okay.” Tzuyu took a few deep breaths.
“Make sure to move it around sweetheart.” Mina laughed at the cute scene of Nico and Tzuyu. “Mama should be healthy, she almost always is.” “Mama.” Nico climbed into Tzuyu’s lap after examining her, letting out a little yawn. Nico always was tired around lunch, as after she ate she always took a long nap, even longer now that she wasn;t in school or going to playdates.
“Are you done for today doctor Nico?” Mina asked her daughter. Nico nodded, cuddling with Tzuyu. Mina couldn’t help but want to be the one holding Nico, but she knew she couldn’t. “You did good today. I’m proud of you.” “Thank you Ka-san.” Nico yawned again.
“Why don’t we go check on mommy and lunch?” Tzuyu asked Nico, who nodded. “We will talk to you later okay Mina?” “Sure. I’m going to go take a nap too.” Mina also yawned.
“Bye Ka-san.” Nico waved.
“Bye sweetie. I miss you.” “I miss you too.” Neither Nico nor Tzuyu knew that the minute Mina hung up, she started crying.

Jake and Lexa bonding is great. But please please please give us when Abby finally accepts her.

Lexa slowly made her over to the park bench where she knew Abby would be waiting for her. With Clarke back at work, she sometimes leaned on her girlfriend to give a helping hand with Madi—Lexa never minded. In fact, she enjoyed spending the odd hours helping Madi practice her sports and doing her homework. The only thing Lexa dreaded about some of these weekend duties was having to sometimes pick Madi up from Abby.
“Morning, Dr. Griffin,” Lexa let out as she approached the bench.
Abby was seated with a clear view of Madi on the playground. The young girl had grown headstrong about mastering the monkey bars, something about her wanting to join American Ninja Warriors Juniors.
Abby turned slowly and nodded in Lexa’s direction, before bringing her gaze back towards her granddaughter. Lexa took a seat next to the woman, not sure what to converse with her about—usually, these handoffs were quick. Madi would be ready to go, sometimes, if she was lucky, Jake would even be there.
“How was she last night?” Lexa asked, trying to break the awkward silence between the two.
Abby directed her head to the brunette next to her, “She was good. She asked us to read her a chapter of Harry Potter before bed, but we didn’t have a copy at the house. She wasn’t very entertained with the options we had, but she was fine other than that.”
Lexa kicked herself, she had forgotten to remind Clarke to put the book in the young girl’s sleepover bag.
“I can grab extra copies of all the books to keep at your place for her sleepover nights with you guys,” Lexa offered.
Abby forced herself to give the woman a soft smile, “That’s generous of you, Lexa, but Jake and I can do that. At least we know for next time.”
Lexa nodded in response before letting her eyes wander the playground. Madi was, of course, on the monkeybars. The girl was swinging swiftly from bar to bar, rushing to get to the end, only so she could start again, “Has she been up there for a while?”
“Only the last hour or so,” Abby laughed, “I’m not sure how she’s not worn out yet.”
“Determination runs in your family, Dr. Griffin. She’s got her mind set on being the next American Ninja Warrior,” Lexa smiled, “Clarke’s been telling her that practice makes perfect, so she’s been practicing as often as she can.”
Abby turned to face Lexa, “I’m not sure if it’s determination, or the fact that my daughter likes to live in a dream world. Either way, at least it’s getting Madi out of the house and getting some outside playtime.”
Lexa could feel the tension, but she wanted to make sure to defend her girlfriend’s mothering of the young girl, “She just wants Madi to be happy doing what she loves. She does basketball in the Spring and soccer in the Fall, too—the girl is always running around and getting some exercise.”
“I suppose you’re ri-”
The conversation was interrupted by a scream, followed by incessant crying. Both women immediately jerked their heads to the playground, where they saw Madi laying beneath the monkey bars, clenching her knee to her chest.
“Shit,” Lexa spat out as she sprinted towards the playground, following Abby only two steps behind.
Abby made it to Madi first, reaching her arms down to see if any serious damage had been done, “Sweetie, are you okay? Show me where it hurts.”
Madi looked up and saw Lexa also reaching down for her. Instinctively, the young girl leapt into the brunette’s arms, “Lexa, it hurts,” she managed to get out between sobs.
Lexa looked down at the girl in her arms, before shooting Abby an apologetic glance, “Hi there, little one. What happened?”
“I fell,” the girl cried.
“I see that,” Lexa smiled, “Can you tell me and your Nana where it hurts?”
“Here,” Madi pointed to a bloody knee, which had gotten all over Lexa’s white shirt and khaki pants.
Lexa looked down and nodded, “Can you let Nana hold you for a minute so I can run to my car to get the first aid kit?”
Madi nodded, “Okay, Lexa.”
“I’ll be right back, little one,” Lexa said, kissing the girl on the top of her head before handing her to Abby.
Abby and Madi watched as Lexa sprinted back to the parking lot to retrieve whatever this first aid kit consisted of. Within a minute, she was already hastily running back towards the pair.
Abby had brought Madi to the bench that her and the other woman were occupying, “It looks like a bad scrape,” she said as Lexa neared them.
“Madi,” Lexa smiled, getting the girl’s attention, “at least you get to use the bandaids you picked out.”
The small girl stopped crying immediately, “Can I have a Slytherin one?”
“You can have whichever one you want, but I have to clean your cut first and it might sting a little. Squeeze my arm if it starts to hurt, okay? It will help make you feel better before we can get the bandaid on,” Lexa offered.
Abby took a step back, watching the woman with her granddaughter and realizing how close the two actually were. It wasn’t until Lexa mentioned the bandaids to Madi that she understood the first aid kit in her car was for Madi—for situations just like this. Her eyes never left the pair, Madi was now bandaged up and Lexa was kissing the Slytherin bandaid at Madi’s request to “Make it feel better.”
“Okay, little one. Do you want to try the monkey bars again, or do you want to go get a treat. Maybe if Nana isn’t busy, she’d like to come with us,” Lexa offered.
“Maybe we can just go home and you can read to me because I want to know what happens in our book again,” Madi started, before a look of panic came over her face, “Lexa, wait. Did you read more without me? You haven’t tucked me in in four sleeps,” the girl let out.
“Hey,” Lexa smiled, taking her finger underneath the small girl’s chin and pulling up so their eyes would meet, “Of course I haven’t. I only read those books with you, little one. We can go back to your house now if that’s what you want to do, okay?”
“Okay, can we go now, please?” Madi asked, now tugging at Lexa’s hand.
Lexa nodded, “Okay, little one. Can you give your Nana a big hug and kiss?”
The girl did as she was told, and the three made their way to the parking lot. Lexa secured Madi in the booster seat she had in the back of her car—Abby took notice and wondered if it was something that had found a permanent home in the brunette’s backseat.
Lexa closed Madi’s door and started the car to get an airflow going before she turned to Abby, “It was nice seeing you, Dr. Griffin. I’ll let you know when we’re back to Clarke’s if you’d like.”
“That would be nice,” Abby smiled, “you’re very good with her, you know.”
Lexa nodded, “I love her a lot,” she responded, then worry immediately flushed over her face, “I mean, I don’t want you to think I’m trying to take anyone’s place. I know she already has two parents that love her very much. I just,” she paused, “I love her too and just want to make sure she’s happy, safe, and healthy.”
“Lexa,” Abby smiled, “Some kids only grow up with one parent, some with two. I’m happy to see that my granddaughter has three people that care for her so intently. I’m not sure what you and Clarke have talked about, and what Clarke and Finn have discussed, but Madi is lucky to also have you looking out for her.”
“That means a lot coming from you, Dr. Griffin,” Lexa noted with a soft smile on her face.
Abby nodded, thoughtful of how her words affected the other woman, “Get home safely, Lexa.”

hopeless wanderer ii
You awoke to the sensation of being nudged.
“(Y/N). Wake up. It is daybreak.”
“Five more minutes,” you grumbled, burying your face deeper into your pillow. The voice refused to grant you this wish.
“No. You must get up! After you go to the Seer, Ragnar will send you home.” This made you open your eyes and begin to sit up and stretch.
“Ah, home. My mother is gonna grill me when I get back.” It happened to be that the person speaking to you was Ivar, characteristically seated on the ground next to your makeshift bed.
“What, you think she is going to be angry with you?”
“Oh, absolutely,” you responded. “I went for a walk yesterday and never came back; I never texted or called her to tell her where I was, and when I come back completely fine with no explanation she’ll actually kill me. It was nice knowing you.”
“You could always stay,” Ivar offered, looking at you with his ocean blue eyes. “Become a Viking.”
“Hm… Thanks for the offer, but I have to pass. I have a pretty good life back home, I don’t feel like relinquishing it just yet,” you explained.
“Good morning, time-traveler!” Ragnar greeted as he entered the Great Hall.
“Good morning,” you responded, trying to sound as chipper as possible, but failing miserably.
“I suppose you are ready to visit the Seer this morning? And when that is done, you are free to go home,” he told you.
   “Gladly. Lead the way!”
You arrived at what appeared like a terribly dilapidated shack, but upon entering it it was evident that someone lived there. There were various bottles filled with various substances all over the walls, and handfuls of altars dedicated to different gods. In the center of the hut-like edifice was a shallow—very shallow— pit, and in it laid a body completely adorned in black. Upon further inspection, you noticed that the man’s face was very disfigured, and he didn’t have any eyes. Huh, I guess that’s why they call him the Seer, then. Irony.
   “I’ve been expecting you.”
“Oh. Um… What for? What did you want to say to me?”
“You must know something,” he told you, “You have a gift. One that many desire, but do not believe exists. The ability to travel through the ages has always been fantasized about, but never achieved; not until you came along. We hope that you will use this gift for the betterment of our great kingdom, and not to wage war against us with our enemies.”
“I don’t wanna go to war with anyone,” you assured, “I’m a pretty avid pacifist. No worries there. But, what do you mean I have the ‘ability’? Like I can just come and go whenever I want?”
“More or less,” he verified. “The bracelet that I gave to Ragnar will act as a link of sorts, to your present and to ours. You can come and go as you please, you need only envision where you want to be.”
Oh, dope, you thought. Your voice was slow to catch up with your brain, however. “So, I can just… go?”
“Yes,” he clarified. “But please, try not to stay gone so long. The Gods only know how much the Lothbroks need guidance, especially the Ragnarsons.” You guessed that Lothbrok was Ragnar’s family name, and that meant that all the brothers you’d met were his kids— hence their last name.
“Oh, sure,” you told him, “I’ll be around. Thank you so much for your help. Can I… Can I get back home, now?”
“Go. Ragnar has what you need.”
“This is the bracelet I was instructed to give you,” Ragnar said, fastening it around your wrist. You were glad that it seemed to be relatively simple; it wouldn’t draw attention to you for being ancient. He and all of his sons sat at the long table in the Great Hall, while you were standing.
“Huh. It’s cool, I like it,” you noted. “So I guess I just… go, then?” you asked out loud. You were met with a cluster of unsure nods and ‘uh-huh’s. “Alright. Cool. Well… I’ll be seeing you all around.”
The king and the princes all wished you farewell as you closed your eyes and clasped one hand around the charm on the bracelet.
You felt a rush of wind wrack your body and almost stumble for a moment, as if you were on a subway that had abruptly stopped. Opening your eyes, you found yourself back in the forest you’d come from. It was still early in the morning, so you began making your way back home. Now that you were on familiar terrain, you had no problem navigating. Better start getting my story ready, you told yourself.
You finally made it back to your neighborhood and made a beeline toward your house. There were two cop cars parked outside, and you felt your heart drop down to your stomach. Oh shit. Oh, shit. You picked up your pace, jogging all the way up to your front porch, and you locked eyes with your worry-stricken mother. She immediately rushed outside, embracing you in her arms, before she began to scold you. “Where the hell have you been? Do you have any idea how worried I was? And your father? We were trying to file a missing persons report! We thought you’d been kidnapped or murdered! Explain yourself!”
“Mom, I’m so so sorry,” you began, meaning in genuinely. You hated seeing your mom upset with you, and about you. “I was on a walk, and I didn’t have my phone—”
“Of course,” she scoffs, “The one time you don’t have that damn thing on you.”
“I know, I’m sorry. But I took a wrong turn in the woods and I couldn’t figure out how to get back, and I couldn’t find my way home… There was little cliff with an opening in it, and I fit, so when it got really dark I just slept there for the night. And as soon as I woke up and it was light outside I just started walking again until I got out of the woods, and then I just headed home.”
“Oh, my God. Oh my God, my ditzy daughter,” she responded, exasperated, but hugging you once more all the while. “Don’t ever do that again. No more walking in the woods, and you better keep that phone on you at all times.”
   “I will. I’m sorry. I love you.”
   “I love you.”
The police officers as well as your father finally made their way onto the porch. “Is this her, ma’am?” one of the officers asked.
“Yes,” she told them, “She’s fine. She got lost in the woods last night without her phone, that’s why she didn’t come home or call.”
“What the hell, (Y/N)?” It was your father’s turn to scold you. “I mean, what are you thinking, walking out into the woods without your phone and getting yourself lost? You’re damn lucky you aren’t dead in a ditch right now, sister! Do you know how many creeps live in the woods and could’ve taken you and killed you?”
   “I know, Dad, I’m sorry—”
“Yeah, you better be sorry,” he told you. “Don’t ever let this happen again, or you won’t be so lucky next time.”
“I know, I know, I’m never going to do this again,” you promised.
“Sir, ma’am,” the cops interrupted, “If there’s no issue anymore, we can get out of your hair. Your daughter’s clearly unharmed and not missing; there’s no need to file a report since it hasn’t been a full 24 hours.”
“We’re so sorry, officers. Thank you for being so accommodating,” your mother told them.
“Thank you so much, I’m sorry for causing so much trouble,” you apologized.
“It’s no problem,” the other officer responded, the both of them returning to their squad cars. “Glad you’re home safe.”
Later that afternoon, after you’d showered, eaten lunch with your family—a rare occurrence—, and gone back up to your room, you were itching to go back to visit your new friends. Hardly thinking it through, you grabbed an overnight bag and stuffed it with a pair of pajamas, a toothbrush and toothpaste, water bottles, your glasses and case, and two cameras. One was an old polaroid that you’d found in your basement one year; miraculously, it still worked, and you liked to use it every once in a while. You also packed your more modern camera, so that you could take pictures while you were in the past—God, that sounds so weird— and get them developed at home. You also threw in the bag two different things of chapstick, as well as a scrunchie, a hair clip, and a handful of barrettes. Looking around your room to check that you had everything you’d want to spend the night, your eyes locked on the top drawer of your dresser. I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to bring my pocket knife. In the same little drawer, right underneath the knife, was your passport. You grabbed that as well, to show your new acquaintances as many things as you could from the modern age. In the back of the drawer was a box of bandaids— you figured it wouldn’t be a bad idea to bring them; God only knows how much they’ll probably need them.
In your school backpack you had all of your necessary notebooks, textbooks, and folders, as well as your calculator and a sketchbook you would work on whenever you were deathly bored. “(Y/N)!” your mother called from the kitchen. “Do you want to help me make cookies?”
“Yes, please!” you yelled back. They can wait a few more minutes, you told yourself, leaving your bags on your bed and rushing down to the kitchen. Besides, I can always bring them some once they’re done. People go ham for cookies.
   —
Half an hour later, the cookies were all baked and cooled— you and your mother had gone a little wild and cooked forty, which probably wouldn’t last through the next two days— and you were back up in your room, bag of goodies in hand. You told your mom you were going to get your homework done and go to bed early and please do not disturb tonight. The pillows and blankets were fluffed up just enough to give off the impression that you were sleeping in your bed; that way, if your parents peeked in, they wouldn’t see that you weren’t there. You slipped some shoes on, threw the cookies in your overnight bag, and slipped both the bag and the backpack on each one of your shoulders. You grabbed the charm of the bracelet with your free hand, closed your eyes, and thought of the Great Hall where you had slept last night. You felt jolted again, and a light breeze swept over you; you opened your eyes and you were back where you had been that morning. It was empty, something you thought was probably unusual, so you decided to leave and walk around, hoping someone would know where your people were.
Almost immediately after walking outside, you spotted a familiar face—it was Floki! “Floki!” you called, waving your arm up high to catch his attention. He glanced around for whoever called his name until he saw you. Immediately his face lit up, and he walked over to greet you.
“Well, if it isn’t (Y/N)! What are you doing back here? I thought you left this morning.”
“I did,” you told him, “But I’m back now. Just to hang out with everyone. Do you know where they all are?”
“The others have just returned home,” he explained, “everyone is down at the docks to greet them. Ragnar’s oldest, Bjørn, has come back with them. You two would like each other, I think,” he noted. “I am going down to see them now, you are welcome to join me!”
“Sure thing!” you responded; the two of you headed in the direction of the docks and, by extension, just about the entire population of the village.
As per usual, you got a few strange glances from passersby; but since you were accompanied by the best friend of the king, they left you alone. Down at the docks, you caught sight of the princes, Ragnar, and a woman standing beside him that you’d had yet to meet. The queen, I guess? Floki guided the both of you to meet up with them, and they lit up upon seeing that you were back.
“Well, if it isn’t our little friend, the traveler!” Ragnar greeted you, his mood obviously in a positive place. “I see you are dressed for the weather, now.”
“Well, now that I know where exactly I’m going,” you agreed. “A girl can never go wrong with a good fleece jacket and a turtleneck.”
Hvitserk, sitting on a post like Ivar, grinned at you before speaking. “Hello, (Y/N). Bring anything for us from the future?” he teased.
“Funny you should ask,” you responded, smiling, “I actually did bring some snacks that you all might like.” You reached into your overnight bag and pulled out the little plastic baggie, opening it up and handing one to your new friends. Rather than reacting like everyone you knew—devouring it— they each inspected it carefully. “They won’t hurt,” you assured them, before grabbing one of the extras and taking a bite as they all followed suit. Floki spoke up first, a mouthful of cookie muffling his words.
“These are good! What are they?”
“Chocolate chip cookies! My mom and I make them all the time, we’re addicted.”
“Mmh, I can see why,” Ubbe responded, taking another bite. “These are amazing. But so sweet—how much honey is in this?”
“Uh… to my knowledge, none? I dunno, we usually just use sugar. Do you guys have sugar?”
Sigurd joined in. “Some, but it’s very expensive and very sought after.”
“Oh,” you nodded, “That makes sense. Where I’m from, it’s a pretty typical kitchen commodity. There’s a big industry for it. Anyways, who is it that we’re all waiting around for?”
“There are a fleet of ships returning soon,” Ivar pointed out to the sea, and your eyes followed the direction in which he was pointing. “Bjørn Ironside is coming home; he is father’s oldest.”
“Aw, like your big brother?” you clarified.
“You could say that,” Hvitserk verified.
“He is my son,” Ragnar informed you, “But he is not Aslaug’s. This is my wife,” he introduced you to her.
“Hello,” you said to the woman, the both of you smiling. You turned to Ragnar, quietly asking, “How am I supposed to greet people? I don’t know your customs.”
“Do not fret,” he assured you. “We all know you are new to all of this, and unfamiliar; just as we are unfamiliar with your world.”
   —
A tall, very handsome blond man with a long braid stepped onto the dock as Ragnar proclaimed, “My son, Bjørn, has returned home!” Everyone in the crowd was cheering and celebrating, and you couldn’t help but join in and clap as well.
The two of them made their way down the docks and back to land when the blond’s eyes landed on you. “Who’s this?” he asked, open for anyone to answer.
“This is (Y/N),” Hvitserk responded, putting a hand on your shoulder and smiling at his half-brother. “She’s… New to Kattegat,” he explained.
“What are you, a Saxon?” Bjørn asked you.
“No… Not really,” you told him. “I’m from… a lot farther away than that.”
“How far?” he questioned you, looking skeptical.
“We will explain it all later,” Ragnar told his son, coming up behind him, “But for now, we celebrate your journey!”
Vikings knew how to fucking party. Three hours after you’d showed up, and people were drunk beyond reason and could barely stand upright without needing some support. Most people at the feast had stumbled home already, and the last of them were struggling to leave through the two main doors currently. You’d placed your two bags—one for school and one for overnight— next to the fireplace and were keeping a close eye on them, not sure how a bunch of drunkards from a thousand years ago would react to them and not wanting to risk anything getting stolen. Once everyone had gone home, and your hosts were happily buzzed, you took a seat and the long table and pulled out your homework.
“What is this?” Ubbe asked, picking up your math notebook.
   “Homework. For school,” you responded.
  “You are educated, then?”
   “I mean, I hope so!”
“Your parents must be wealthy, then, to be educating their daughter.”
“Where I’m from, it’s legally required that everyone—male or female— gets some form of formal education until they’re eighteen. Then it’s optional to continue, but most people I know choose to do so.”
“What do they teach you?” he wondered, taking a seat across from you. The rest of the family, who were all wandering around the hall bored, began to listen in.
“Oh, a bunch of stuff. You’ve got your math, English, history, and science, and what they teach specifically depends on how old you are. So the older you get, the more complicated and detailed the lessons are. Plus, you also get more choices on the classes that you do take as you grow. So if I know I’m really good at English, I can choose to take an advanced-level class as opposed to a general level class.” He nodded along, vaguely understanding all of the information you were throwing at him. “Then you’ve also got your arts classes, like visual ar, and then there are foreign language classes; then you have theatre and music classes. Recently they’ve offered a lot more STEM classes— that stands for science, technology, engineering, and math— and a lot of people where I’m from are really interested in that stuff, so that’s what they tend to focus in on.”
   “That seems… very busy.”
“It does, doesn’t it?” you agreed. “But I’m used to it; it’s how I grew up. And where I’m from, it’s also different because it’s mandatory. In a lot of other places around the world, education isn’t emphasized as very important. And it’s required for boys and girls to go to school, too— and we all learn the same things.”
“Your home sounds strange,” Sigurd noted.
“It sure is,” you agreed, “But it’s not that bad. Besides, I like going to school— Well, I like learning, at least.” You grabbed your notebook back from Ubbe, who was flipping through it confusedly. “Anyways, I need to focus. This is all due soon.”
“What do you mean?” Sigurd asked you.
“It’s homework. Teachers assign it, and then you do it, and then they grade it. And everyone has a score in their classes that are anywhere from a hundred to zero… Sometimes more than a hundred, if you do extra credit or take higher level classes. Really there’s a whole lot of other things that I can’t explain right now because you all are distracting me.” Opening your textbook and notebook to get started on your calculus homework, you grabbed a pencil and a calculator and got to work, scribbling down numbers and answers and typing in formulas.
Bjørn soon entered the room, giving you a confused look which you didn’t see because your back was turned to him. “Alright, I’m waiting— Someone explain to me who she is.”
You raised your arm up and waved your hand at him half-heartedly. “Hi, I’m (Y/N), I’m from the future. They can explain it,” you called out, still focused on finishing your work. Ubbe stood up and moved toward his brother.
“She appeared out of the woods yesterday. The people thought she was a witch, and a spy—but the Seer told Ragnar that she was from the future, and she is. Look,” he pointed at your calculator, sitting on the table. “Have you ever seen one of those things?”
   “No? What is it?”
“It’s— Uh, what is it called?” he asked you.
“A calculator. Technology from the future.” Bjørn still looked slightly apprehensive about the validity and truthfulness of your origin, but nevertheless, he conceded.
“Alright. So she is from the future. So now what?”
“Great question, friend. At this point? I’m just visiting because it’s fun. How many people do you know that can just jump through time whenever they want?” He paused a moment and shrugged. “You all can bet your bottom dollar that I’m gonna be visiting as often as possible.”
Not long after you finished your homework—calculus and English, nothing too difficult— your new friends decided that it was time to go “train”. This, of course, just meant going to a clearing in the woods and throwing weapons around a fighting each other to prepare for real battle. It sometimes shocked you how deeply important preparing for battle was for them. You were fully aware that as a civilization of Vikings from a thousand years in the past, it was all they really had to do to exert their energy; Still, it came as a culture shock to you, a girl who had grown up with all of her nation’s wars fought overseas and prepared for miles and miles away from her home, that the entire community were all warriors who dedicated copious amounts of time to training.
It was shocking to the Ragnarsons, as well, that you were so unconditioned to this particular lifestyle. They were as mesmerised by your society as you were with theirs. “So, you’re telling me,” Hvitserk commented in disbelief, “That instead of swords and bows, your people fight with pebbles?”
“No, no no no, not at all,” you laughed, preparing to clarify. “We have guns, which shoot bullets—at a very high velocity, enough to pierce the skin and bone— and they’re typically the same size as small pebbles. And we don’t fight on battlefields, anymore—at least, not to my knowledge—we fight from opposite sides of ‘no man’s land’ and shoot at each other ‘til one side gives up or dies off. And we have naval and aerial warfare. Boats and planes—planes fly in the sky like birds, but they’re a lot bigger— shoot bombs and bullets at the enemy and blow up and kill people. It’s…” you paused, “It’s very aggressive.”
“I would like to see one of these guns,” Ivar noted.
“No. Absolutely not. I never plan on touching a gun in my life.”
   “Why not?”
“Guns are for killing. And I have no intentions to ever kill a person, ever. I’m not that kind of person.”
“Huh,” Ivar laughed, “Maybe you are not fit to be a Viking, after all.”
“You got that right!” You suddenly remembered that in your purse, hanging off of your shoulder, you’d brought a camera with you. It was an old Polaroid, one from your parent’s younger years, but it still worked, and it even had film ready to go. “Hey,” you said, “Do you guys wanna see something cool?”
“What are you talking about?” Sigurd asked. You pulled your camera out and they all stared in confusion. You’d finally all arrived at the clearing with the weapons ready to go; Ivar seated on his tree stump and the rest of them standing.
“Everyone, stand close together,” you ordered, miming the action with your hands. They obeyed begrudgingly. “Smile!”
   “What?” asked Hvitserk.
“I’m serious! Smile! You’ll see what I’m talking about in a second.” They glanced at each other before smiling nervously. You clicked the button down and the light flashed, taking them all by surprise.
“Woah! What was that?” Ubbe asked. The picture rose up from the top of the camera and you grabbed it, beginning to shake it back and forth.
“You’ll see in a minute,” you promised cryptically.
“Did you curse us? Maybe you are a witch,” wondered Hvitserk.
“No, I didn’t curse you. I just took a picture. Like a painting, but it’s instant. Here, look!” you exclaimed, holding the now-developed Polaroid out for them to stare at. Sigurd grabbed it from your hands to inspect it further.
“That’s us? Just now?” You nodded. “How is this possible?”
“I’m from a thousand years in the future, Sigurd; almost anything is possible. This is pretty common, actually. Pictures, I mean.”
“I would like to see your home one day,” Ivar mused. “You have seen ours; Why don’t we visit yours?”
   “Can we do that?”
“We could try. Later,” Ubbe responded.
“Alright,” you shrugged. “But first, I kinda want someone to teach me how to fight.” They all shared a knowing look with one another before looking back to you. “What?” you questioned.
“Are you sure you can handle it?” Ubbe asked you.
“Uh… Well now I’m not so sure,” you admitted. “But I’ll never be able to handle it if I don’t start somewhere!” you reasoned cheerfully.
“Ah, you’ll be fine, (Y/N),” Hvitserk smiled at you, “We’ll go easy on you. Grab a sword.” So you did; almost dropping it because it was heavier than you anticipated.
“Holy moly this is heavy!” you exclaimed. “I’m gonna be jacked!”
They all shared a laugh with you in your enthusiasm and fervor, and Hvitserk and Sigurd both began to instruct you on how to properly wield and swing a sword as well as how to use it to block yourself from oncoming attacks. These miniature lessons lasted until the sun was beginning to get very low on the horizon, when you all assented that it was time to go back. You soon arrived back at the Great Hall where Ragnar and family were all preparing to eat dinner. They offered you a seat at the table, as you were a guest in their home while visiting Kattegat. “How fared you all today, my boys?” Ragnar asked.
“Good. We taught (Y/N) how to fight,” he mentioned, some meat dish being shoveled into his mouth. The boy was always hungry, you mused.
“Well, tried to,” Sigurd laughed, “She could barely hold the sword!”
“Hey!” you exclaimed, laughing along with everyone else. “It’s not my fault! I’ve never had to hold a sword before!”
“Yes, because all your people fight with little pebbles,” Ubbe smirked into his cup.
“They’re not pebbles!” You and the boys erupted into laughter while Ragnar and Aslaug looked on, smiling. He was still not sure how exactly you were meant to help Kattegat prosper, but he could tell that your friendship with his sons was growing stronger. Perhaps by uniting them all would the kingdom flourish? he wondered.
Later after dinner was finished, and everyone was up and about going about their normal routines, you were provided a small barrier to change into your pajamas. They consisted of a simple pair of plaid pajama pants and a Jimi Hendrix shirt that once belonged to your father, as well as a dark green sweatshirt in case you got too cold during the night. “Hey,” you mentioned offhandedly, while stepping out from behind the barrier and slipping on your fuzzy socks, “Tomorrow do you guys wanna go see where I live? I bet I can figure out how to get us there.”
Ivar was the first to respond, shrugging at his brothers. “I would like to see it.”
“Oh, yeah? How do you plan on getting around, cripple?” Sigurd antagonized. Ivar’s fist tightened and he gave his brother a cold, hard death glare.
“Hey. Knock it off. Don’t be an asshole,” you chided the blond. “We have a spare wheelchair in my basement from when my mom had surgery a few years ago. I can get it for you,” you assured Ivar. “And I can get you all clothes to blend in. My dad doesn’t have the best style, but it’s enough to not make people think twice.” In the morning, you all decided, you would get up, flash back to your home, get everyone situated, and then you would introduce a group of thousand year-old Viking boys to the future.
ugh im sorry for adding these i know u probably dont care about them but i just need to keep them all organized somewhere with their proper works attached! thanks bye lemme know what u want next loves

Driving Lessons (fiction)
A fictional story about a teenage girl’s final process of moving on from a tragic event. I wanted to capture the feeling or idea of “driving” away from something, a traumatic event, something you haven’t let go of. 2693 words. It’s a long one.
Driving Lessons
”My mum and little sister died when I was eleven and I killed... no… I did… please...don’t give me excuses”.
And that’s all I remember from my session today. In fact, that’s all I remember saying all day. I remember Dad taking me to the cafe across the street from the therapist’s and eating a sandwich that was far too chewy to be worth its twelve dollar price tag. Then I remember taking the train home with him and going to my room and staring at my math homework. I think I cried because of the 2010 family picture on my wall, but that could have been yesterday.
I haven’t been in a car since the accident. I’ve been told it was an accident but I still don’t think it was. That’s why I had therapy today. I’ve been fighting with my Dad because I don’t want some idiot with a degree telling me why I killed half my family. He broke down and said he’s so sorry he didn’t help me sooner, for not being there for me. I eventually agreed in the heat of the moment.
Most people think it’s weird that I haven’t been in a car for five years, but it’s not all that hard. If I do something on the weekend it has to be by the train, but usually, I’m just in my room. My room is where it’s safe and I feel safe and I can’t hurt anyone. I’ve been told I have some sort of complex, but then again not many people have caused what I’ve caused. A month ago, I took and passed the computerised driving test, for the hell of it and to make Dad happy. My L plates now sit in my drawer, untouched and hated. Now, all of my friends are starting to drive, being sixteen and all, but I know I could never set foot on a brake, turn a key, start an engine; roll down the windows, blast music, drive my friends home from a party; sing along to a song while I drive, the way my mother would always do, her sweet voice in tune with a cassette tape. When I was six and she’d take me home from dance lessons, she would put in a nursery rhymes CD and we’d yell the lyrics to Humpty Dumpty on the Princes Highway, windows down and wind in my face.
I remember the song that was playing right before the accident. Sometimes I lie awake in the dead of night and the music will crawl into my brain from some deep dark corner and my chest seizes up and I can’t breathe. I hear cars zooming down my neighbourhood from outside my window and I want to stand up and yell at them to stop, to please save themselves, but I am frozen and sweating under my covers. I flashback to the moment, the suspension of air and time and then the crushing sensation of the ground. All I can hear is the CD player scratching and the lyrics breaking over and over and over again as I lie there and eventually the disc machine gives up and the scratchy song stops; and then, silence. The song is so ironic that many times in these panic attacks I’ll burst out laughing- God really does have a sense of humour. “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees.
I got given pills at thirteen, some chemical compacted into a tablet that was supposed to make me forget. I tried to take them but they made me numb, oblivious to the world with a layer of rose glass glazed over everything. It was as if you took your depression and put a barbie bandaid on it. I started flushing the stupid things down the toilet, and the panic attacks came back. It was better than forgetting my mum and little sister ever existed.
It’s Sunday and I wake up at 5 am. This is normal for me, don’t worry. I check my phone and drink some water, and do my usual routine of lying awake for two hours, mind blank. Early morning is the only time I feel okay; I can picture my little sister snoring in the room next to me in her tiny pink barbie bed. I used to jump into it every morning, waking her up and blowing raspberries on her face. She would cling to me as I piggybacked her to the kitchen and made us Weetbix for breakfast. Mum would pad down the stairs in her dressing gown and make tea- she wouldn’t drink coffee because of the baby- and my Dad would follow, letting the dogs in and making everyone pancakes on the days he wasn’t working. Mum would hug us goodbye and take Milly to kindergarten as I walked to the bus stop. Now, my Dad will wake up early and come into my room, every day, probably to check that I’m still alive.
I startle as he knocks on my door at 7 am. My body is tired, a familiar throb that wakes up with me. I pretend to be asleep as Dad sits at the foot of my bed. “B?”. He uses the same tone every morning when he says my nickname, apprehensive and tense. I breathe loudly and can instantly sense his relief. He pats my shoulder.
“I have to tell you something sweetheart”, he says, and I can tell from his voice that it’s not going to be okay.
“Promise me you’ll be okay with this”
“What is it, Dad”
“I… I booked you a driving lesson for this afternoon”
And my whole world goes black.
I wake up again around 9 am and at first, I can’t remember what’s wrong. I climb out of bed and sweep my hair off my forehead, realising I’ve been sweating. I find myself going to my sisters' room; it’s been untouched for five years, a thin layer of grime covering her Barbie dolls and toys. I sit on her bed and it creaks. I often do this, lying under her pink covers and crying. “I miss you, Mills. I’m so sorry. You would have been ten today, baby”.
I pace into the kitchen and sit at the table with my Dad, a full cup of coffee at my seat. Dad looks empty. “It’s…”
“Yeah, it’s Mill’s birthday” I interject. There’s no reason to beat around the bush. I rarely reveal my emotions to people, no-one needs to know how I sit in my sisters' room and cry, or talk to my mum in my sleep. “I thought this would be a good day to move on, Brea. For you to learn how to drive”. There’s a long pause. Dad’s tone is slow and tired. I am silent, but not by choice, but because instead of words I have tears bubbling up. “We just. Need to move on. You have to move on B, this isn’t healthy” he’s saying, but all I am hearing is “forget about their suffering and drive without them”.
“Dad, I can’t. You know that” I choke out. “What if I’m responsible for someone else’s death again? There’s just too much to handle”. Dad lowers his head to the table. His tone is gruff.  “It wasn’t your fault Brea, Jesus Christ. Your lesson is at four o'clock this afternoon, understand? Don’t you see how I suffer too, watching you waste your life and blame yourself for this bloody mess? You were eleven years old, Breanna. It was dumb bad luck”. I am silent.
10 am fades into the afternoon, which melts into 3 pm. I’ve switched between lying in my bed, staring at my math homework, ignoring my friend’s messages. Dad appears at my door. “Breanna, it’s time. Get dressed”. I feel pretty numb, along with knowing there’s no way I’m getting in the instructors' car. “How are we getting there?”, “we’re driving” Dad responds in a muted tone. “Nuh-uh. No way.” I try, tears prickling. “You can sit in the back. It’s happening, Brea” is the response I get, no sympathy, no recognition of my fear. I swallow and sidle into the back seat. Dad’s face softens and his tone changes. “I’ll drive real slowly, the place is only six kilometres away”. I curl up inside my seatbelt, trying to cure the unfamiliar feeling.
My eyes remain shut the entire long trip, although only long because Dad drives slowly. Still, every speed bump, jolt and close-passing car makes me panic. At some point, I press my hand up to the window, a light rain misting the view. I didn’t want to look outside anyway.
All of a sudden I am standing outside the instructors' car, his face frowning back at me. Rain tickles my scalp, and I can’t tell if the wetness on my cheeks is rain or tears.
“I’ll be in the back seat, B. You got this” I hear Dad say, distantly. The instructor stands in front of me. “As this is your first time driving, we will only be driving around one street. However, I will first teach you the basics of the clutch and wheel etc…”
His voice fades into the air for me. I want to run away, but there are cars that will chase me: in other words, I’m trapped.
It’s time for me to enter the car. I’m almost dissociating from reality but there is nothing I can do. The instructor shows me how to use the clutch and pedal, but his words are bullshit to me. He places a key in my trembling hands, expecting me to know what to do with it. “Is she okay?” the guy is asking my Dad, his words sounding distant and echoey in my drumming brain. “She’s fine… just experiencing some drivers anxiety…” I bite my lip so hard that I feel the capillaries burst; I can hear them pop… not normal… focus. I turn the key and the engine starts, abruptly. And I am plunged into somewhere else.
It is February 2013, a warm day in Sydney. My little sister and I play fight and wrestle as we make our way through the parking lot. Mum tells us to cut it out, and cut it out quick! But she is laughing. Sugar from my popsicle lingers on my lips, sticky in the sun. Milly has her arms wrapped around my waist and I’m forced to drag her, groaning and panting, I lock my fingers into hers and twist them back. “OWWWW” she exclaims and starts to cry. “No! SHH, Mills! No crying allowed on your birthday!” I yell-whisper, cautious of  Mum in the near distance, knowing I’ll get in trouble for making Milly cry. I pick her up and carry her as I walk. “Stupid face!” I grin, and she grins back. Sugar has gotten to her head and she wriggles out of my arms and runs across the parking lot. “Mills, come back!” I yell at her, knowing I’m partly responsible for her safety. Mum gets her. I smile. Luna Park was just what Milly needs on her fifth birthday, and it was kinda fun too, even when I’m as old as eleven.
“Push over, loser” I playfully shove Mills off my favourite back seat. “Honey, you sit in the front today” My mum smiles behind her Ray Bans. Her lipstick is cherry coloured and teeth straight and white, eyes so kind as they peer over the top of her glasses. I scowl as I climb into the front, wondering why I didn’t get the good genes. Milly has the same kind eyes; I know she’ll be beautiful by my age. Oh! “Milllllls, it’s time for your birthday present!” I grin and look behind me at her excitement. I throw back my handmade paper card with a stick figure drawing and a stuffed animal full of candy. Mum scowls lightly and starts the car, the sudden sound of the engine abrupt. We roll out of the parking lot into Sydney traffic. Mum lets me choose the CD for the car trip, Mills doesn’t seem too fussed, even though I know she’d like some Britney Spears; I hate Britney Spears. I choose an Old Hits CD and ignore Milly’s protests.
It’s been about half an hour and we’re on a busy-looking highway. Mum’s letting me go on her phone and Milly’s fast asleep in the back, sugar crash no doubt. “I can’t wait ‘til Mill is older and I’m super old like twenty-three and we can be adults together” I happily tell Mum as she pretends to listen; I notice but I keep rambling anyway. “Will we still go to Luna Park when we’re older? Mums?”
“Sorry, darling, I’m a bit tired… love, just let me focus”. I always forget that Mum’s pregnant, because her bump is still small, but she somehow already knows it’s gonna be a boy. Science is cool. I heard Mum and Dad talking about names just last night, it’s gonna be Jamie or Sam or most likely Tye. I think Tye sounds stupid, like the hair tie on my wrist.
My favourite song from the CD comes on- “Stayin Alive” by the Bee Gees. Anticipation lulls away and I rest my head on the windowsill.
I hear Milly wake up before I see her because she stops her annoying snoring, finally. “Where’s my stuffy!” she whines, rubbing her eyes.
“Are we nearly there, Mummy?”
“Not yet baby”
“Where’s my stuffy? I want candy” “I don’t know love, go back to sleep”
Out the corner of my eye, I see Milly reach for my present, having rolled to the opposite side of the back seat, under Mum’s. “Can’t… reach..” she mutters; I’m singing along to the chorus of Stayin Alive. Mum quietly curses at a car as it overtakes her. “Reckless people” she mutters. “Mum, you okay,” I ask. “Yes darling, can you check on your sister?”
The barely audible click of a seatbelt unfastening reaches my ears. “Mills… Mills! Get back!” I whisper.
“My stuffyyyy”, Milly is crawling to the other side of the backseat. Mum sees her in the rearview mirror. “Milly...Camilla!”
Mills has gotten herself wedged in between the back seat and the front seat, reaching for her stuffed toy. I roll my eyes. “You’re gonna get in trou-ble” I tease. “Don’t you unclip your belt, Brea”, Mum warns me sternly. “Milly darling please, get back to your seat, I can’t pull over here”, a worried expression on Mum’s face, hand on her bumpy stomach. Milly rustles her stuffed animal free from under the front seat and prepares to climb back up. I lay my head back on the windowsill. I hear a scream.
“SPIDER!”
Mum jerks her head around to the back in a startle. She knocks the steering wheel with her left elbow as I watch in confusement. In the lane beside us, approaches a truck.
It only takes a split second.
Passengers in the backseat are 46 percent more likely to die in a car crash than front seat passengers and drivers.
For some reason, this processed Wikipedia sentence repeats over and over in my head as I sit at the driver’s seat, fingers on the turned, rumbling engine, standstill; back to reality. Two pairs of eyes watch me in concernment as I shake, breathing, in, out, in.
“Um.. so… you have to push your foot on the pedal and…” The instructor.
I’m not listening.
I’m crying, and I look to Dad for comfort, but he’s not there. Instead, it’s young Mills and Mum and her baby bump. “Hey guys” I smile. “I’m sorry… I’m sorry I gave Milly her present in the car… I should have waited like you told me too, Mum”. I silently cry, hoping the instructor can’t see. “I should have let us have the life you deserve, with me and Mill and Tye”; Mum and Mill smile sadly at me. “Happy birthday Milly baby” I whisper. “What do you want for your birthday? You can have anything”.
“I want you to drive me home, big sis”.
So I do.

FanFic - Broken Butterfly
I posted a link to this before, but never the actual fic, so here it is for people who prefer to read straight off of Tumblr. It’s an angsty little Bunny fic, read the tags for warnings.
Butters Stotch had never considered himself particularly lucky as a child, which is why he sometimes found it hard to believe his current situation. His parents may be abusive, his classmates may bully him, but none of that mattered because for the past three months he’d been hiding something wonderful from all of them. It had felt good having this secret to help him get through the bullshit at school and the abuse at home, keeping him from giving up because now he had something to look forward to. That was all about to change though because he’d decided it was time to let the cat out of the bag.
Kenny McCormick was his boyfriend, and tonight Butters was going to tell his parents. They were nearly done with school, only a week left, and after graduation they would be heading to Denver together. Butters was going to college there, to study horticulture, and Kenny was going to jump straight into working, so he could keep supporting his sister. He had a job and an apartment lined up already, and Butters had received his acceptance letter last night. That was what prompted the decision to tell his parents; they had everything ready to go, all that was left was to rip off this one particularly difficult bandaid. He smiled to himself, round cheeks turning pink, as he thought about his boyfriend. Kenny was, as far as Butters was concerned, one of the most beautiful people he’d ever met. There was his physical beauty - messy blonde hair that had darkened to a rich gold as he got older, a dazzling smile with the cutest gap between his front teeth, and bright indigo eyes that looked almost violet in the right light and were always sparkling with laughter. Beyond that though, he had the shiniest heart and soul Butters had ever seen. Whenever he looked at his boyfriend he swore he could see the innate goodness that was Kenny McCormick radiating from inside, making him a beacon of light that Butters couldn’t help but be drawn to. The bell rang, startling Butters from his thoughts. He jumped up and quickly crammed his books and papers into his bag before hurrying out of the room, not wanting to leave Kenny waiting for too long before they walked home together. “Ken!” He cried out, seeing his boyfriend leaning casually against his locker, “You waited for me!" Kenny laughed and ruffled his hair, “Butterfly, class only let out a few minutes ago and you ran all the way here, look at you all out of breath and red-faced. What’s got you so excited?” “Well, uh, I’m gonna tell my parents about you tonight,” He explained quietly, “And that I’ll be moving out straight after graduation.” Kenny’s lips thinned as he pressed them together tightly to keep from loudly protesting. It’s not that he didn’t want to be out in the open with his little Butterfly. Heck, he’d have shouted it from the rooftops the second Butters had said yes if he could’ve, but it had been his idea to keep things quiet in the first place. The other blonde, bless his heart, had such a positive outlook on life, despite all his hardships, that it never occurred to him just how badly coming out to his parents could go. His parents who had a history of trying to murder him, abusing him, and chaining him in the basement - all of which Kenny had heard Butters try to explain away on numerous occasions. Very few things actually scared Kenny, but the thought of what might happen when Stephen Stotch found out his son was gay and dating someone like him was terrifying. “Don’t look so worried Ken, it’ll be alright!” Butters grinned at him and hugged his arm tight, “Walk me home ok?” “Walk you home? I want to go inside with you, make sure nothing happens.” “Don’t be silly,” he giggled, “They might yell a bit and ground me, but if they do I’ll just sneak out the window and go to your place.” They didn’t talk for a while after that, Butters happily lacing their fingers together and skipping along humming to himself, while Kenny was deep in thought. As they approached the little blonde’s house, he cleared his throat and moved to hold both Butters hands in his. “Butters… you know your parents… ugh, never mind. Just, call or text me immediately afterwards alright. I don’t care how late it is, I won’t go to sleep until I hear from you.” “Of course Ken Doll.” Butters couldn’t kiss him, it was too risky this close to his house, so instead he brought his own fingers to his lips and kissed them. It was a little signal they had worked out early on in the secret relationship. A way to show affection without touching each other. And with that, he giggled and ran off home, leaving Kenny standing on the sidewalk with a dark feeling of dread twisting in his gut. Much as he wanted to stay, just in case Butterfly needed his help, he was due at work soon and he couldn’t afford to miss any shifts when their plan was so close to fruition. He sighed and promised himself that if Butters didn’t text him he’d come back later that night. *** Butters didn’t text him. There was a strict no phones policy at work, so he’d had to leave it in his locker during his shift. The whole time he’d been hoping to come back to a message from his love, but when he checked his phone there was nothing. He didn’t panic though. It was still early, only just past 8pm. Perhaps Butters decided not to tell them until after dinner and was just now sitting down to talk with them. Still it was odd that there were no messages from the little blonde at all, and when he tried to call it went straight to voicemail. He decided he needed to stop off at the Stotch house on the way home from work, for his own peace of mind. On the trip over he tried and failed to stop his mind from concocting all sorts of horrific scenarios. Butters could be hurt, or dead, and he’d known something was wrong but still let him go into that house alone. If anything had happened to his boyfriend it was on him. As images of Butters broken and bloody body flooded his mind he broke out into a desperate sprint, arriving in record time. The lights were all off and the house was dead silent. Undeterred, Kenny scaled the wall towards Butters window, an act he was well-practiced in after months of sneaking around. To his dismay the window was locked and the curtains drawn so tight he couldn’t glimpse inside the room no matter how hard he tried. He tapped gently on the glass, hoping to get Butters attention but not wanting to make too much noise in case it woke his parents. No response. Kenny continued to sit outside Butters window, perched precariously on the barely big enough windowsill, unsure of what to do next. Eventually he realised that, unless he wanted to wake up Butters parents, he was out of options and would have to wait until the next day to find out what was going on. Leaping from the window to the ground in a dramatic, Mysterion-esque display, Kenny kicked angrily at a snowdrift and threw one last glare at the silent Stotch house before heading home. True to his promise he didn’t sleep a wink that night. He made sure his little sister, Karen, had something to eat for dinner and got all her homework done before sending her off to bed. Then he sat by his window with his phone in hand, and just stared into the night as he waited for Butters to message him. He didn’t even realise how long he’d been sitting there, unmoving, until the twinkling stars gave way to the soft gray of pre-dawn. When the sun finally starts to peek over the horizon he broke, sobbing into his hands as all the tears and fears he’d been holding back come pouring out in one heartbroken flood. *** Kenny didn’t allow himself to breakdown for long. After crying his eyes out at the window, he wiped his face on his sleeve and got ready for school, formulating the beginnings of a plan in his mind. He didn’t know what misfortune had befallen Butters, but he was going to find out and he was taking back up with him. The air was chilly, laden with the lingering frost of early morning, as he stalked purposefully to the bus stop. He was a man on a mission, and the few people milling about on the street were quick to dart out of his way as he came thundering through. “Guys!” He broke out into a run as he spotted the four familiar figures standing in a row at the bus stop, “I need your help with something!” They stared at him as he came skidding to a stop in front of them, eyes fiery and determined. He barely paused before launching into the story, leaving out no details, no longer worried about keeping his relationship a secret if only it meant getting his Butters back. He told them of the months spent sneaking around, the plans they’d set in motion for the future, his fears about Butters coming out to his parents, all culminating in Butters disappearance. A silence fell over the group as he finished his tale and after a few tense minutes he turned to leave, feeling he would not be getting any help from his friends after all. A hand reached out and landed heavily on his arm, grabbing his sleeve and yanking him back towards the others. “I guess we’d better help you rescue your pussy boyfriend from his piece of shit parents then Poor Boy.” *** The Night Before Butters flinched as a dinner plate narrowly missed his head and smashed against the wall behind him. Perhaps it had been a bad idea to come out during dinner, when there were so many potential projectiles within his father’s reach. “You want to repeat what you just said to me, you little shit!” His dad roared, while his mum stood by placidly. “W..w…well sss…sir,” the trembling teen stammered, “I w-was just sayin’, that is, I… I…” “Spit it out!” Butters took a deep breath and straightened his back. He could do this, all he had to do was think of Kenny and their plans. His father couldn’t control him any more, he was going to be free and happy, there was nothing that could stop him. “I’m gay!” He shouted hurriedly, “I’m gay and I’m dating Kenny McCormick and after graduation we’re moving away. I’m going to study plants and build a life with my boyfriend!” He grinned as a weight lifted off his shoulders at the conclusion of his rushed and somewhat inelegant speech. “Ah… I don’t need you to accept me, but it sure would be nice if ya did dad… mum… I just…” Stephen Stotch took a step towards his son, and Butters trailed off as he realised things were about to go south fast. His father’s expression was thunderous, and a quick glance at his mother revealed he’d be getting no help from her. He reached forward to grab his phone off the dining table so he could make a hasty retreat, but he wasn’t quick enough. Stephen’s hand closed around Butter’s narrow wrist tight enough to bruise, yanking him forward and making him lose his balance. While he struggled to find his feet, his father picked up his phone with a menacing smirk and started dragging him towards the nearby basement door. “MOM!” He shrieked, “HELP ME!” His pleas landed on deaf ears, as his mother calmly turned and walked upstairs, choosing deliberate ignorance to what was occurring. No one was there to help Butters as his father wrenched the basement door open and attempted to pull his son down the stairs. Butters was fighting for his life and managed to hook his free hand on the doorframe, but it only delayed the inevitable. Stephen brought his fist, the one clenched around Butters phone, down on his son’s hand again and again.  Butters shrieked again, this time in pain, as he was forced to let go of the doorframe and his father, now enraged beyond belief, threw him down into the basement. His head bounced off the stairs with a sickening crack, and as he stretched his right arm out to stop his fall it twisted under him, the bone snapping loudly. He let out a single, piercing scream, his voice breaking with the intensity, then lay on the basement floor in shock. He was unable to move his broken body, but his eyes followed his father, still standing at the top of the stairs glaring down at his son. Stephen was suddenly calm, as if the sight of Butters drained all the anger from his body. He laughed and threw the now broken phone to the floor, then moved to close the door. “D-dad?!” Butters called out hoarsely, “Don’t leave me here!” There was no response as the door clicked shut, leaving Butters in complete darkness. “…Dad?” *** For all the misfortune Kenny faced in life, he got pretty lucky in the friend department. Sure, they were assholes, but they always had his back. Even after dropping a bomb on them like he did that morning, they still rallied behind him as they stormed towards the Stotch house. Once they got past the fact that Kenny “boobs are awesome” McCormick was actually bi and dating the most naive person in town, they were all too ready to ditch school and go threaten Butters parents with him. “Ok,” Kyle planned quickly as they walked, “I’ve got my phone ready to call my dad, in case we need a lawyer, and Stan’s phone is set to call 911. Cartman’s is already recording, so we’ll have everything on record. Kenny, let us do the talking, you just focus on getting into the house and finding Butters. Cartman will hold Mr Stotch back if need be.” Kenny nodded, his expression solemn. He didn’t need to be told to focus on finding Butters, that was his number one priority. They approached the Stotch house and took a moment to mentally steel themselves for the task ahead. “Try not to lose your cool. Don’t get yourself arrested ok,” Stan lay a reassuring hand on Kenny’s arm, “We’re here for you.” “I’m not taking any heat for this, if you do something stupid then I’m bailing and going home, screw you guys! So don’t fuck it up cause I don’t wanna have to ditch you.” Cartman added, acting tough. Kenny gave a small smile as his friends offered their words of support, albeit hidden under a very thick layer of bullshit in Cartman’s case. He clenched his fists and approached the front door, hearing the three other boys following close behind. He suddenly felt like a small child again, but that was ok because he’d been fearless back then and he would be fearless again now. For Butters. He knocked on the door. It opened almost immediately. “Shouldn’t you boys be in school?” Linda Stotch answered, looking like she’d been up all night. Her hair was a tangled mess, her make up running, and her eyes wild. “We’re looking for Butters ma’am?” Cartman stepped forward, his voice honeyed in a well-practiced act of manipulation. “Oh, Butters, yes,” her reply was airy and she seemed somewhat absent, “He’s gone.” “Gone where!” Kenny stepped forward, half shoving himself through the door. It was then that Stephen Stotch decided to make his appearance, guiding his wife away from the entrance as he attempted to force the irate teenager back onto the stoop. “The ungrateful little turd ran away and he won’t be coming back! We don’t know where he is and we don’t care. Now get off my property!” Kenny stared into Stephen’s eyes and knew the truth, “He’s lying, Butters is here guys.” “Are you sure dude?” Kyle asked. “I’m positive.” The red-head nodded at Cartman to initiate their plan, and the large boy was only too happy to oblige, surging forward and forcing the door open as he used brute strength to pin Mr Stotch to the nearest wall. The older man struggled, but was no match for the sheer size and power that was Eric Cartman. Without hesitating Kenny rushed into the house, eyes darting around at the mess of shattered plates in the dining room. He spotted Linda standing off to the side and ran towards her, placing his hands on her shoulders and staring at her with pleading eyes. “Please,” he begged, “Please, I know he’s here. Where is he? Please tell me.” She said nothing, but her unfocused gaze drifted towards the basement door and Kenny was off like a shot. He threw open the door and flew down the stairs, collapsing to his knees next to the shivering, bloodied, unresponsive body of his lost boyfriend. “Butters,” he sobbed, “Oh god… STAN CALL 911, WE NEED AN AMBULANCE!” “K.. Ken?” “Shhhhhh,” Kenny leaned forward and pressed his forehead against Butters', “It’s ok Butterfly, I’m here, you’re safe.” “I knew you’d find me.” The two teens lay there, foreheads pressed together and tears mingling, as the distant sounds of sirens filled the air, signalling that the nightmare was over.

for HC post: Harry potter, aph norway, legolas?, (from haikyuu) hinata, nishinoya, suga, bokuto, oikawa, yamaguchi (hopefully you don't mind so many ahhhh )
:OOO dw i don’t mind!!! i’m putting them under a cut to save my poor followers’ dashes tho
harry
A - when he finds out how easy it is for him to get wizarding clothes that are actually fitted for him and sit right on his body, as opposed to dudley’s leftover clothes, he never wants to go back and hermione helps him get all kinds of nice, casual clothes, both muggle clothes and robes
B - no matter how much harry loves the wizarding world and how different it is from his old life, harry and hermione still smuggle regular ballpoint pens into hogwarts because they can’t always be arsed to go buy more quills and inkwells just to finish their homework on time
C - it takes harry forever to actually nail apparating, primarily because he just has so many shitty memories and experiences with apparating and portkeys and floo powder and all sorts of magical non-broom transport
D - harry tries working as an auror for a while, but eventually decides to start a career as dada teacher at hogwarts, to the relief of all the people in his life tired of him still getting into life-threatening situations on a regular basis
aph norway
A - he owns like, eight different coffee machines. even though he primarily drinks black coffee. you never know what your next houseguest might want so he has Everything
B - he also has two drawers full of ties, because the other nordics keep giving him ties for birthdays and christmas etc. a lot of them are joke gifts and he has at least twelve different christmas ties that play songs and/or light up
C - he genuinely tries to keep up with all the new icelandic words for technology stuff and trends and all that stuff?? partly because it’s interesting, and partly because he feels like he’ll fall behind and lose touch with iceland if he doesn’t, like if he doesn’t pay attention icelandic will just stop sounding familiar
D - he knows every single norwegian dialect. even the dumb made-up ones and the ones that hardly sound norwegian at all. he also speaks fluent swedish and danish, but refuses to speak either in the presence of sweden or denmark, 100% because they want him to. (he might switch over to a random obscure norwegian dialect just to mess with them, though)
legolas
A - legolas can use swords, but he’s fully aware he’s not nearly as impressive with a sword as with a bow or a knife or a pair of daggers, and is juuust petty enough that he’ll only use a sword if he really has to
B - he’s a horrible, horrible actor. too emotional and takes all the fake arguing personally. breaks character and storms out in a huff. terrible at lying and pretending unless it’s to temporarily get a playful rise out of someone, and even then he’d prefer being honest and smug about it
C - will stubbornly pretend he’s not hurt until he’s literally falling over from the pain, absolute shit at laying down and letting people take care of him if he can help it
D - you know the “how to talk to short people” graphic??? he exhausts every possible Wrong option at every opportunity and every dwarf in middle earth has him on their personal shit list because of it. with halflings he just kinda crouches all the way down like he’s about to pet a cat and they just kinda endure it at this point because fuck it at least this way they get to look non-hobbits in the eye while talking for once
hinata shoyo
A - hinata will train and practice with like, absolutely anyone. some middle school kids sees him practicing and asks to join? hell yeah. old grandpa wants to throw for the kid a few times to feel young again? hit it gramps! some asshole in class lobs a ball of paper at him from across the room? hinata’s already spiking it and hollering a cheery “thanks”
B - even though he’s plenty capable of jumping super high himself, he’ll never really get tired of riding on someone else’s shoulders. he likes the view and he’d like to enjoy it for longer than a split second sometimes, thank you very much
C - occasionally, he trains and practices until his hands and feet are bleeding. sometimes he shows up with bandaids and sports tape around his ankles or knuckles and while it’d be easy to make jokes about hinata getting into fights with kageyama or the other teams, all the third years + tanaka are very aware of what’s happening and insist that hinata has them on speedcall, just in case something really horrible happens while hinata’s practicing alone late at night again
D - hinata does parkour and no one gets to tell me otherwise. it’s just facts
nishinoya
A - on the team, his appetite is only second to hinata’s. no one has a clue where all that food goes. asahi is constantly terrified of their power level
B - noya and hinata have an act where they balance on each other inside a massive trenchcoat they borrow from the drama club, which they use during training camps and stuff to entertain the other players - usually by imitating all the tallest people present, and some that aren’t there. their ushiwaka’s a crowd favourite, and whenever seijou is present for the act, oikawa immediately requests they do him (followed by iwa who usually follows up with “yeah and then do oikawa next” to zero protest from anyone but oikawa)
C - man i don’t have a lot of sad headcanons for noya??? but: part of him kind of wishes hinata would consider taking over as libero. not because he’s short or because he’s fast, all those things help but ultimately he sees a vast potential in hinata that he thinks would make for a great libero if hinata wanted to give it a try. he respects that hinata wants to be a good middle blocker and even an ace, and thinks it’s a super cool and ambitious goal that hinata might actually achieve, but hinata understands what being a libero truly means at the core, probably moreso than anyone else in karasuno, and noya’s sad to see that possibility already gone
D - noya is suuuper affectionate when people let him be. he’ll happily give out hugs and smooch cheeks and play with people’s hair and lay on their laps like a cat in the sun, as long as he’s certain the other person is comfortable with it
suga
A - suga does bunny ears on people in photos like, all the time. most pictures with suga standing next to someone will have to be retaken
B - suga has a surprisingly strong competitive streak, and loves challenges set by his kohais. he wins most of them, sometimes just because he’d rather push himself to the limit and be pleasantly smug about “still got it” than have his juniors laugh at him and calling him old
C - you’d think asahi would be the one that gets sick the most often and that suga’s the team mom who always has to take care of all the sick team members, but suga’s usually the first to catch anything that’s going around, and the flu just knocks him completely out for a full week. he kinda hates it, especially missing training and matches and having people worry about him and not being able to rely on him for being there for an important match because he could well be sick for it, but he doesn’t like talking about it, so he just grumbles and lets the others help so he can get back on his feet, only to huff at them about how they shouldn’t put themselves at risk of catching it from him. daichi fondly tells him to shut up and then sneezes. suga yells even louder
D - suga used to be an avid reader, but hasn’t had much time to sit down with books since he started doing volleyball, so he listens to a lot of audiobooks when he can
bokuto
A - bokuto is 100% a dog person, he’s especially great with big dog breeds but he loves them all and sometimes volunteers at kennels when he has extra time
B - the fukurodani drama club has been trying to recruit bokuto for years, and go to all their volleyball matches just bc bokuto’s dramatic everything is 1) entertaining and 2) gives them a lot of inspiration for their own activities and roles. bokuto’s heart is with the ball but he still shows up to just about all of the drama club’s shows in return, clapping and cheering loudly (which helps with the drama club members’ nerves because none of them are gonna look sillier than bokuto even if they trip up)
C - bokuto has a heart condition, and everyone on the fukurodani team is aware of it, but he persistently doesn’t talk about it and none of them ever bring it up, unless something really, really serious happens. akaashi nearly falls over himself whenever it looks like something’s wrong with bokuto but he usually manages to keep his cool
D - bokuto sings in the shower, especially communal showers, loudly and badly. he’s actually much better at singing when he wants to but where’s the fun in that when he can joke around instead (also if the drama club finds out he’s actually good at singing they’ll never let go)
oikawa
A - oikawa is the undisputed king of movie nerds at aoba johsai, but he’s kind of a snob about it, with thorough lists of what movies he thinks are Good and which ones he’ll grimace at you at for even acknowledging out loud
B - oikawa just really really cannot swim. he’s so bad at it, it’s barely even funny. he can sort of dog paddle, but that’s it. everyone else at seijoh swims circles around him.
C - he’s a massive hypocrite when it comes to food and nutrition, and pays fairly close attention to his team to make sure they eat as much as they need and the right kinds of foods, while simultaneously eating like, one (1) banana for breakfast because he didn’t take the time to prepare anything the night before and was in a rush. fortunately iwaizumi gets on his case about it constantly and usually packs extra food to make sure tohru eats, but he has collapsed mid-practice at least once because he just straight up forgot to eat properly for two days straight
D - he has like, an entire wall in his room dedicated to his team and his family and the people he gives a shit about. dumb pictures, newspaper cutouts, heart-shaped post-it notes with quotes, little neatly scrawled notes about their favourite foods and how they like their tosses and specific weaknesses of the various other teams, all that junk. it’s  kind of a huge mess but he loves looking at it
yamaguchi
A - yamaguchi is such an all-over nerd that he sometimes forgets he plays an actual sport. he shows up to every practice and trains his jump-float serve all the time and yet he somehow keeps catching himself thinking jocks are the furthest thing from him and tsukki
B - yamaguchi has, hands down, the neatest handwriting of the whole karasuno team. even neater than kiyoko, yachi, or tsukki, which is incredibly impressive. he doesn’t even realize it.
C - he’s great at doing chores and household stuff, but that’s mainly because he’s always had to do these things and learnt at a very young age. as a result, he feels constantly responsible for everything, including the happiness of people around him and making sure everything is as good as it can be, which is hard sometimes. especially with tsukishima, who doesn’t always communicate properly whether something’s wrong or if everything’s okay or if he needs anything, so yamaguchi often feels like he’s not doing enough
D - yachi and yamaguchi chat a lot when they have the time, so they both bring powerbanks and phone chargers everywhere because their line apps never get any rest. sometimes yamaguchi accidentally sends something to tsukki instead of yachi and tsukishima’s response is always some variation on “what the hell are you guys even talking about, how is this possibly related to anything” and yamaguchi just “oh whoops sorry, it makes sense in context okay”. tsukishima genuinely wonders if they just send him weird pictures and shit just to mess with him. sometimes he’s actually right

best friend! Seungkwan
anon asked: can i request for some best friend!Seungkwan? (and probs some side best friend!Vernon like idk man i can definitely see them as the type where you can’t be best friends with one and not be best friends with the other lol)
the hardest part of childhood was figuring out school
while it wasn't learning the alphabet or how to read or basic addition and subtraction that you found difficult
elementary school was tough lol
mostly because you wanted to make friends
but who knew getting friends was tough if you didn't talk to anyone
your teacher tried getting you to talk to the other kids
but they low key scared you
some were always yelling or crying for their mothers or throwing crayons
so you just shook your head and colored your doodles on paper
that was until someone's birthday
"Class, today is Boo Seungkwan's birthday! He brought cake for everyone, line up to get a slice!"
as usual you remained sitting in your seat in the back table coloring your rainbow in the sky
until a paper plate with a slice of cake was plopped in front of you
"It's my birthday, you have to have cake."
Seungkwan stood in front of you, probably the cutest seven year old to ever grace all of Jeju
you always thought he was cool (from what you gathered was cool as a seven year old)
because he had lots of friends to play with at recess
but you still didn't know how to talk to the other kids
and yet somehow he got you to say a few words
"No thanks, I don't like cake."
"What?!?!? Who doesn't like cake?"
Seungkwan said crinkling his nose
"I don't."
and from then on Seungkwan was hooked
he followed you around during recess despite having friends who wanted to play soccer or kickball
trying to figure out why you didn't like cake
yes he was that determined
you liked sitting on the swings
and Seungkwan sat next to you asking you every cake flavor he knew
"Chocolate? Vanilla? Funfetti? How do you not like cake?"
you laughed, he was so stubborn
"I like pie better."
"PIE IS GREAT TOO."
and that's all it took for a bootiful beautiful friendship to start
he'd draw a smiley face sun on your drawing of a rainbow
"How could you not have a sun?"
he'd ask you to push him on the swings
"y/n, you have to push me really high up."
"I'm tinier than you Boo Seungkwan!"
and who knew that ball of hyper energy lived down the street from you?
you went for a bike ride with your parents
and there he was following his mom bringing in the groceries
"Y/n?!?!?"
"Boo Seungkwan?"
many afternoons were spent reading picture books together or riding bikes
even your parents ended up as close friends when one time Seungkwan scraped his knee and your parents helped you put on a bandaid for him and called his parents to tell them what happened
when middle school came around you both had your own friend groups
but you always walked home together
complaining about how heavy your backpacks were and how mean your teachers were
you both end up trading backpacks and racing each other up the hill to your houses to show the other how light their backpack was compared to yours
"I won!"
"No way, my back pack was way heavier, you're cheating!"
you'd always do homework at Seungkwan's house on Mondays and Tuesdays
and he'd go to your house for homework Wednesdays and Thursdays
Fridays you'd both go down to the arcade and get ice cream and play arcade games
you lived for Seungkwan's mom's pie
and he loved your mom's home made cake
and so every lunch whenever he got pie he'd trade you for your cake
your mom knew you didn't like cake and yet she continued packing it for you
"Just give it to Seungkwan since you do that anyway."
Seungkwan liked playfully poking you every time you passed him in the hallways
people thought you two were siblings
"Wait he's not your brother? But you two are always together everywhere? Walking home, walking to school...?"
and when high school came around
and his video of him singing got him a shot at PLEDIS
he ran up to your house ringing the doorbell frantically with happy tears in his eyes
"Go get 'em Boo Seungkwan. I can see you walking around telling everyone you meet 'I'm from Jeju' already. Make us proud Seungkwan."
you laughed giving him a supportive hug
you spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out with him while you can
giving him all the support you can
"What if I'm not good enough?"
BOI
"BOO SEUNGKWAN YOUR VOICE IS HEAVENLY AND IM PRETTY SURE I SAW SOME BIRDS FOLLOWING US THE OTHER DAY BECAUSE OF YOUR SINGING GET REAL."
he just laughed at your outburst
"You sure?"
"Seungkwan, I'd eat cake everyday for the rest of my life if it shows you how much I believe in you."
"You must be serious, you really don't like cake."
"I do believe in you, Seungkwan, what the hell of course you'll make it and then I expect signed stuff from you so I can sell it on the internet."
"Yah!!! You should covet my stuff and run my fan sites, y/n!"
"Cash is better, sorry not sorry."
and you both laughed together
"You've grown from the person drawing rainbows in the back of the class long ago." He said smiling at you
"Guess you taught me how to be my loud self. I only learned from the best."
and he did it
he debuted
you were so proud
he called you often during his trainee period telling you his worries
you knew when he was close to crying
but you were there to support him
and be his number one fan
and you watched his predebut programs
and thought about the boy from Jeju who insisted you have cake that day so long ago
and you told him of your high school life
mostly exams and whatnot
and you both studied hard together
after he debuted, it was harder to see him
your parents shipped you off to some of your family in Seoul
where you could work part time and go to a university there
but when you did hang out
it felt no different than your after school ice cream and arcade days
you'd wake up in the morning and see 172 messages from him
pictures of his rehearsals at 2:37am
and just random thoughts he had and sent to you
"Hansol made a joke and it was awful."
you met Hansol too because of Seungkwan
"Why does Seungkwan always text you during our short breaks?"
"Seungkwan why are you texting me in third person?"
"Oh lmao this is Hansol, I stole Seungkwan's phone and am currently hiding in the bathroom since he won't tell me who he always texts."
you snorted a little too loudly and ended up getting weird looks from your aunt
"I'm y/n, Seungkwan's friend from high school. I'm from Jeju."
"Y/N WHATEVER HANSOL SAID ABOUT ME IT'S NOT TRUE!!!!!"
you met Hansol the next time you hung out with Seungkwan
local park by his company with some nice hoops for basketball
"Ah so you must be y/n." the boy next to Seungkwan said
"I swear I tried to get rid of him, but he just loves me too much, what can I do?"
you burst out laughing their friendship is too cute
y'all end up playing a game two v. one
Hansol insisting you play on his team to show Seungkwan what's up
and you all go for ice cream afterwards
"Hey!" A ping from your phone
a picture of a smiling Hansol and Seungkwan pop up
you smile and send them back a picture of you sticking out your tongue
"working hard I see" you say
"Seungkwan misses you, but I missed you more"
"What the heck Hansol stop it, who's the best friend here?"
"Tell Seungkwan you like me better, y/n."
"YAH! She's my best friend back off!"
"get a room you two" you send while dying from laughter
“y/n!!!" they both send you
your group chat consists of random selfies of Seungkwan
and funny cat videos from Hansol
and a lot of you being in the middle of their arguments
"green tea chocolate is the best"
"you can't beat classical milk chocolate"
"why not both you two?"
"I'm offended."
"Who are you?"
"What do you mean both?!?!?"
lit groups chats
but you three are such troublemakers
so they be pming you like shady mofos
"let's prank Hansol, y/n." "Let's prank Seungkwan"
separate messages you received within five minutes of each other
so naturally you play them both
and they both end up getting soaked by water balloons
while you stayed a safe distance away keeled over dying of laughter
"WAIT YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS"
"Why didn't you warn me, I've know you for years!"
you run away as the two of them chase you with water balloons
in the end all three of you get soaked
"so anyone up for some cake?"
"You know I hate cake let's get pie"
"I vote ice cream"
ice cream it is then

Dating Stiles Stilinski
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PDA
Stiles is incredibly into PDA.
If you’re not holding hands his arm is around your waist.
He will kiss you in front of everybody.
He will pull you into spontaneous hugs.
He wants everyone to know you’re his.
He’s also majorly into marking.
Hickies, love bites, wearing his flannels, all of it.
He makes you wear his back-up jersey at every game.
He’s made you sit in his lap more than your actual class seat.
This leads to a lot of detention on his part.
Detention makeouts.
Making out in the jeep before school.
Making out in the jeep after school.
HANGING OUT
He pretends he hates going shopping with you.
But he secretly loves it.
Because he loves driving around in the jeep with you.
Singing at the tops of your voices to the radio.
Researching together.
Which normally leads to making out.
Doing homework together.
Which normally leads to making out.
Everything leads to making out.
Watching movies all night.
Being exhausted for school the next day.
Having no regrets.
Doing literally everything together.
Sneaking out to investigate supernatural shit.
Stiles getting worried.
Stiles getting mad.
Stiles shouting at you.
Hot make-up makeouts.
DATE NIGHT
Date night is any and every night.
Sometimes you get dressed up and go out.
But normally it’s just a takeout and cuddles.
He also loves taking you to arcades.
Or to watch the latest films.
He just loves to treat you.
Date nights normally get crashed by the supernatural.
Or someone in the pack needing something.
Date nights also consist of illegal business.
Stiles listening to his dad’s calls.
Then calling you over to investigate.
And calling stake-outs a date night.
SEX
Sex with Stiles is always hot.
He was shy at first.
It was missionary and vanilla.
Foreplay was just making out.
Until you spoke to Lydia.
Who wasn’t even subtle.
She told Stiles how it was straight and pure.
He’s a fucking tease.
He won’t do anything until you’re begging and shaking.
And then he fucks you until you’re screaming.
Werewolves making faces about how you smell all the time.
You either smell of arousal or of each other.
It’s gross.
But you don’t care.
His smirk when he found out how you felt about his fingers.
Shouting at him to put his snarky mouth to better use.
Him doing just that.
Literally anything you do turns him on.
Scott telling you to stop because Stiles is twitching again.
Teasing him for getting a boner over something trivial.
He’s fucking kinky.
He has a dirty, dirty mouth.
He’s extremely into being dominant.
But he also loves it when you’re dominant.
Multiple rounds.
There isn’t a place you haven’t fucked.
Scott & Lydia made out on coach’s desk? You fucked on it.
Liam & Hayden made out on the bleachers? Fucked there too.
The kitchen counter? Yep.
Police station? Many times.
Everywhere.
AFTERCARE
He loves cuddling afterwards.
And giving you his clothes to wear.
Kissing all over your body.
Getting a cold cloth to clean you up.
Being extremely tentative afterwards.
Being the most lovestruck boy ever.
Sheriff rolling his eyes at his son.
Especially when Stiles offers to go to the loo with you.
Or when he wipes your face after you eat.
Getting annoyed with him.
But letting him do it anyway, because it make him happy.
THINGS YOU STEAL FROM EACH OTHER
You steal his bat.
He eventually gets you a matching one.
Having matching couple bats.
And his flannels.
And his sweatpants.
He loves stealing your socks.
He stretches them all.
He likes stealing your blankets.
Buying jumpers a few sizes bigger so he can wear them.
He steals your bed covers because they smell like you.
Getting them back a few weeks later washed and cleaned.
He also likes to steal your school folders and notes.
He will steal your homework and copy it.
He steals all your school equipment.
Buying him a fully-stocked set for himself.
He refuses to use it.
Stealing each other’s food.
And drinks.
All the time.
PICK UP LINES HE LIKES TO USE
Tonight this Han doesn’t wanna’ fly Solo.
Are you flappy bird, because I could tap you all night.
If internet explorer is brave enough to ask to be your default browser, I’m brave enough to ask you out.
I like every bone in your body.. especially mine.
Do you have a bandaid? Because I scraped my knee falling for you.
Hey, tie your laces! I don’t want you falling for anyone else.
You, me, handcuffs and whipped cream: interested?
GOING AWAY TO COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY
Not opening letters until you both have them.
Making a big deal out of it.
Ordering pizza and sitting together.
Opening each other’s.
Both getting accepted into the colleges you want.
Going to colleges that are very close together.
Getting an apartment instead of dorms on campus.
Moving in together.
The other residents adoring you both.
Moving in his crime board.
Being the only person allowed to touch it.
Rubbing each other’s backs and shoulders.
Comforting each other after a stressful day.
Helping each other with assignments and essays.
Encouragement kisses.
Stiles dropping you off each morning.
Getting jealous when he’s partnered with a girl.
A very hot girl.
Stiles inviting her over to work at the apartment.
Letting you wander around in just his flannels.
Especially when she’s there.
But not when your study partner comes over.
Meeting up for lunch everyday.
Knowing each other’s new friend group.
Pack meet-ups every month.
Talking to Stiles’ professor each time he misses a lecture.
Making up excuses.
When really he was chasing dead-leads.
Watching a lot of Criminal Minds.
And Silent Witness.
He loves crime shows.
He loves trying to beat the show to the conclusion.
Being each other’s biggest supporters.

Session 3: Recovery
It was a school night and it was getting late, Colin had finally emerged from the basement office to make sure Laci had eaten dinner since it was a fend for yourself night, he too also needed some food though.
The three level house was at its usual silent state. It was nearly two in the morning and the serenity of it had settled in as Colin quietly made his way up to the second floor where the bedrooms were to check on the girl.
Laci was staring down the chapter of the biology book, nothing sticking, too busy thinking. He knocked on the frame of her door. “Hey honey, how goes the homework? Did you eat anything?”
She blinked a few times, slowly shaking her head to look over. “Is it that late already? Sorry no I haven't... been uh... studying...” She sighed then groaned, hitting her head on the book. “Or trying to,”
“What's wrong? Do you want me to grab you a snack?” He came in and stood by her, looking at her desk to see what books she had out. “Is math making you mad again?”
“I wish honestly, but it's too early in the year for that.” She sat up rubbing her face,
He looked down towards the textbook and then back to her worriedly.
“Dad.... Wyatt’s not doing good... at all, they... they had to get his heart going twice and he's getting worse- and and-” She choked briefly, covering her mouth and trying to keep herself somewhat composed- “He looked horrible... barely could talk or even hold my hand,”
Colin frowned and rubbed her back some. ”It's.. Really that bad...? Is he in the hospital right now still?”
She nodded sniffling. “Dad, I... they don't think he has much longer.” She wiped her eyes briefly, “I don't wanna lose him.” She whimpered, hugging him.
Colin hugged her back tightly. “I know… I don't want to see him go either, I know how much he means to you. Have they tried everything?”
“Everything they can,” She nodded. “He’s just a bad case, and his body is too weak to keep fighting and-“ She buried her face back in his chest, more sniffling could be heard.
Colin continued to rub her back and hug her. “He’s put up a hard fight..” he was thinking about common hospital treatments and how they could probably be doing so much more.
“I... I know you have your research and it's really important...” She pulled back, wiping her eyes “But maybe you could try checking? Just- just so I can say we tried everything? You were amazing and maybe, maybe you’ll see something?” She asked hopefully.
Colin looked surprised for a moment then slowly nodded and almost smiled. “Well.. I've had some spare time recently, everything is going well at work. I do have another business trip in a month or so but… Of course I'll look into helping Wyatt.” He wiped a couple more tears off her face with his sleeve and kissed her forehead. “Everything aside though I think we need dinner.”
She quietly giggled and nodded, taking a deep breath. “Dinner sounds nice,”
Colin smiled. “C’mon, let's go eat, You can pick,” He walked out with her.
Colin had everything ready to go after a week or two of prep. He was finally ready to test his new idea, he wouldn’t have the same ability to monitor it though. He was praying it worked.
Colin was a few minutes away from the Maddox household and kept checking the rear view mirror to see if Laci was ok.
“You alright back there?”
She nervously nodded. “As much as I can be... I really hope this works...”
“Don't worry, I didn't get my degrees by sitting around.” Colin said attempting to comfort her.
She smiled slightly. “I know, I’m hoping for the best and trying to prepare myself for the worst,”
“It's going to be ok.” He reached back to pat her leg as he pulled into the driveway.
She nodded again, unbuckling.
Colin stepped out of the car and walked up to the door and gave it a friendly knock. The house was a large one story that had very little yard where it had been added onto, smooth gray brick and soft blue siding made the house have a calm aura about it. Colin had some knitting patterns he found for Lenore Maddox in his hand in the hopes knitting might help her with some stress.
Laci rocked her weight back and forth behind him.
Colin put on a smile as someone came to the door, he wouldn't show it but he was just as nervous as Laci was.
Lenore looked tired, and her eyes puffy at the edges. “Ah, Colin. It's nice to see you.” She gave a weak smile.
Colin nodded. “It's nice to see you too, may we come in?”
“Of course, of course.” She stepped out of the way, motioning into the living room. “Wyatt’s on the couch currently,”
Laci immediately went over towards the purple knit hat sticking out from the couch, which lead to a purple blanket lump. Most of his things were purple to be honest.
Colin handed Lenore the knitting patterns. “I thought you might like these.” He turned his attention to Wyatt. “Hey buddy.” He followed slowly behind Laci.
Lenore smiled weakly as she took the patterns. “Thank you Colin, a distraction may be nice,”
“I figured those might prove a challenge and keep you busy.” He explained and patted her shoulder.
Wyatt poked out slightly, paler than ever and looking quite miserable. “Hi Laci, hello Mr. Colin,” He coughed.
Colin’s mind was thinking again and again over how the process would go, and also how to possibly keep everyone else shut up. They always had something to say when he came in, but that was expected.
“Are you about ready to go soon?” He asked Wyatt softly.
Wyatt gave a drowsy nod, a loopy smile as well and Lenore chuckled. “He’s a bit high on pain meds currently but he hardly weighs much... I'm sure you can carry him?”
Laci straightened up. “I can carry him,”
Colin chuckled. “Have you been lifting weights in your spare time?”
“A little? I’ve had to carry him before, he got tired easily after school.” She explained, pushing her bangs back slightly. She walked over and slowly pried Wyatt’s makeshift nest away, to which he whined at.
“Coollddd.” He hugged a blanket weakly in protest.
Colin looked impressed but proud too. He flopped the blanket back over Wyatt to help. Lenore had a small fond smile as Laci easily picked him up like a baby.
He attempted to sling an arm around her neck but kinda just lightly whacked her face in the attempt. “Shoot sorry-“ He slurred, head resting on her shoulder.
Laci simply gently shushed him. “It’s ok it didn’t hurt,”
“I’ll give you a call when it's all over,” Colin told Lenore. “I’m confident it will go smoothly, and I promise I’ll do everything I can and take good care of him,”
“I trust you will Colin, and thank you for trying.” She teared up slightly while speaking.
Laci was facing them and slightly cuddling Wyatt who drunkenly made happy humming noises.
Colin tried not to laugh at Wyatt’s behavior. Looks like I don't need much gas. He chuckled internally at the thought.
Colin gave Lenore one last pat and went to help Laci load him into the car.
Laci shifted her arms and nodded, following him out. “I guess I can't come help or anything huh?” She said a bit quietly.
“This is where you have to leave him bandaids.” Colin confirmed sadly.
She buckled him in, he held her arm for a few before slumping back into the reclined seat.
“Ok... I understand.” She looked disappointed as she carefully closed the car door.
“Go treat yourself and try to relax till we get back ok?” He gave her a hug and a kiss on the head. “It's gonna be ok I promise,”
“But one day right? I wanna be your assistant one day.” She said hopefully with more of a smile and nodded at him.
Colin cringed slightly inside, but quickly faked a proud smile and forced out a little. “One day,”
She nodded. “Ok, see you at home?”
Colin shook his head in affirmation. “Mhm, I’ll call you, but stay out for a bit ok?”
“I’ll try,” She said a but more forced.
Colin walked into the lab as Artemis got stretcher prepared. The scientist called out into the hallway as the lights came on. “Hello everyone!”
He got mumbled responses and hissing in return.
But then silence.
A girl with light brown hair and loosely fitted plain clothes leaned forward. “Stretcher?”
There was something new in the lab. And that was never good. Various poorly lit silhouettes neared the glasses windows of their rooms.
The twins pressed their faces to their window. Their cheeks smushed on the glass. “It's not for you.” They said. “It's not wrapped up,”
Wyatt drunkenly waved.
Shasta and Carol, siblings that were closer than they liked, cringed. “Surgery,” They whispered.
They faintly heard him singing.
A girl that quite literally radiated green aura narrowed her three eyes. “What's he doing?”
Colin sent a smile down the hallway. “I'm going to need everyone to be quiet today,”
“FUCK NO!” The glowing teen, Charlie, yelled.
The brunette, Alaina, tilted her head. “What is he on?”
Artemis pressed a button and some metal blinds went down on Charlie’s cell windows.
“Quiet. Please.” Colin turned into the operation room.
“Was that a big glow stick? Mr. Colin my visions kinda blurry,” Wyatt continued to slur.
The girl squinted.
“Yes, yes it was.” Colin pat his head. “Gas on low he’s already out of it.” He mumbled to  his assistant.
“Woooowwww,” He dropped his head back onto the stretcher.
Colin slowly pulled the tubes down over Wyatt’s face and kept nodding. “We're gonna have a good time today!”
“Yay!” He cheered dizzily.
The three eyed girl huffed in her cell. “Do I look like a glow stick?”
The brunette shrugged as she watched. “Maybe to him? He seems high,”
Shasta and Carol were watching with wide eyes saying nothing. They didn't like that room and they feared anything that went into it. Colin left Artemis to finish prepping Wyatt and went to go and get the DNA samples. Wyatt’s form slowly got stiller and blinked slower.
The twins moved their eyes only and kept their faces smushed against the glass. “DNA..?” Kathline said, it was distorted though because her mouth was smushed.
His eyes rolled back before he fully blacked out with zero resistance.
Colin double checked the samples were correct and smiled. This would work. Everything had gone well so far with the DNA before hand.
Alaina’s eyes widened. “Am I allowed to ask what you're doing with that?”
Colin looked over. “No, remain quiet though if you want to watch,”
Charlie made a disgruntled noise.  “I WANNA SEE!”
Alaina leaned forward tentatively. Worriedly.
Colin stepped into the operation room and closed the door and took out various shots. “Lets make you better kid,”
While that was happening, Laci was checking the address on her phone for a final time, turning the corner of the mildly busy street. Fridays were usually busy already but the late summer and approaching school year had the area bustling. The street was lined with shops that she read the signs of as she passed. She looked up and saw the sign for the café, Cocoa Lemon, a pretty popular brand as of the past several years.
Jamie was waiting inside with everyone else fussing over his wrapping abilities for the food he made. Mia was quietly laughing at him while Oliver attempted to help and shoo Cami from adding excessive amounts of purple sprinkles. Rachel was behind the counter smiling at them having a proud mama moment. Laci pushed the door open and glanced around the café curiously.
Cami waved. “HI!”
Jamie also gave a small wave from the table with the goodies on it. He felt shy almost for some reason, he hadn't really given other people his baked goods before outside of the Foltz and his family.
She walked over, straightening her posture. “Hello! I really can't thank you enough for all this..” She trailed off looking over all the baked goods and little crafts and what not.
Jamie nodded and swallowed nervously. “It was no problem! I love baking and Cami is always down for crafting, everyone was happy to help.”
Cami held up the purple bag. “I filled it with literally ANYTHING purple I could find!”
Mia nodded excitedly. “More than happy to really,”
Ethan was smiling as he rolled his eyes at his sister’s enthusiasm.
“A purple get well card, stickers, purple candy, purple paper cutouts of random stuff I guess, purple bracelet? Lots of stuff!”
Laci smiled and nodded as she picked up one of the cut outs.
Cami kept listing the odds and ends she compiled while Jamie nudged a paper plate forward. “I baked a tiny little extra sample of the stuff if you wanted to try...” He looked at the plate awkwardly. “Hope its.. good..”
Nodding excitedly she carefully picked up one of the slightly over sprinkled cupcakes.
Cami patted him on the back. “Of course it is! Why wouldn't it be,”
Oliver sighed. “Cami got to that one,”
Jamie shrugged in response and fiddled with his hoodie strings watching her taste.
Her eyes lit up after taking a bite.
“Jamie, this is delicious! Talk about a nice talent to have too,” She laughed. “Does everyone bother you for desserts?” She teased.
Hazel huffed indignantly at the suggestion. “No! That'd be ridiculous!”
Ethan rolled his eyes. “You're the worst of us other than Cami.”
She puffed her cheeks out in retaliation and crossed her arms.
Jamie laughed a little. “Oh c'mon Ethan you like my smores pie as much as Hazel does don't throw her under the hoverboard,”
“Yeah!” Hazel huffed.
“Maybe, but I wasn’t denying it!” Ethan retorted.
“Heh… and uh, no,” He turned back to Laci as the siblings bickered behind them. “Just these guys sometimes.. I… IdontreallytellpeopleIbake,” He trailed off.
Laci tilted her head at them then looked at Jamie. “Well you should more often, maybe consider the schools baking club if you're up for it,”
Jamie perked up surprised. “There's a baking club?”
She nodded. “Oh yeah, we have a very wide variety of clubs, our kitchens have lots of tools to work with as well,”
Cami hugged his shoulders. “See you worry too much she likes it and I'm sure her friend will too, how is he doing by the way?” Cami asked as she let go of Jamie.
Her face slightly dropped but she strained the smile. “Hopefully he will be alright.... My dad was a doctor before starting studies and experiments to help make medicines several years back,” She explained. “He’s taking a look to see if there’s anything he can do.... He seemed hopeful and even confident...”
Oliver seemed impressed at that.
“Wyatt himself was kinda high on pain meds when we got there,” She faintly laughed. “It's rare to see him so... giggly? It was kinda nice in a bittersweet way,”
“I hope he enjoys his bread as much as you enjoyed the cupcakes,” Jamie smiled. “And that's impressive, does your dad work at the hospital now?”
“Not actively but he has the license to do procedures.. I asked him as a final resort I suppose,” She sighed.
“Well we wish you all well,” Cami gave her a thumbs up. Elliot ran out from the corner and stole the sprinkles off the table. Cami screeched.  “THOSE ARE FROM MY STASH!!!”
Laci looked a bit bewildered at that.
Oliver gave a long suffering sigh.
Rachel poked her head out. “Elliot, leave her stash alone,”
Mia giggled quietly as Cami quickly retrieved the bottle.
“Also hello you must be Laci, I added some coupons in the bag, well they're more like little notes I wrote real quick but you can use them for free drinks if you'd like,”
“Oh thank you so much.” She bowed briefly.
Rachel gave her a warm smile. “Of course! Feel free to bring in your friend when he feels better,”
“I hope I can!” She chimed.
Wyatt felt groggy to say it simply, and like everything weighed ten pounds more than usual. But he ached less. So that was a win. He felt less foggy headed as well. What happened again? He slowly sat up and looked around his room, seeing Laci smiling.
“Morning sleeping beauty.”
“Wha- what happen?” He rubbed his face a few times.
“Dad gave you some sort of treatment,” She explained.
He nodded. “I vaguely remember going somewhere with him?”
She hummed. “Feel better?” She tilted her head.
“Other than really groggy, yeah?”
“Good, so how's some breakfast sound, or maybeeee.” She held up a tupperware container. “Lemon bread?”
He lit up immediately and held grabby hands out as she tittered at him. She offered a piece which he eagerly took and took a bite out of.
“You can't bake where did you get this? Its delicious!” He said through a mouthful.
She furrowed her brows. “Heyyyy I can bake..... some... times..”
“Mhmmmmm.” He teased and she huffed.
“Well you’re definitely feeling better if you can tease me,”
He grinned at her. “But really,” He took another bite. “Where?”
“Some new kids at school offered to bake you get well soon treats and made crafts, see?” She held up a flower cut out as an example.
He took it and smiled. “That was... really nice...” It faded slightly as he thought, Laci didn’t notice.
“Wasn't it? They suggested it themselves after hearing about you, maybe we can go visit once you're a bit better, dad wants you to rest a few more days.” She rambled as she handed him a sticker sheet.
He almost immediately pulled off a bunny sticker and put it on his phone case.
Laci stifled a laugh. “Of course.”
“Don't make fun, bunnies and rabbits are wonderful.” He shoved more lemon bread in his mouth to punctuate his words.
“Don't get yourself sick on that ok!” She laughed.
He shrugged. “I guess we could go see them though?” Laci closed the tupperware, Wyatt making grabby hands again in protest.
“No more,” She smiled “And we definitely should, I’m sure they'd love to meet you,”
