the guy from disability services who helps me keep my flat liveable asked me why everything keeps ending up on my floor, and i went 'well, if it's in a closed cupboard and i can't see it, i will forget it'

then he looked around my flat, noticed that everything was on open shelves, and said: 'if i may make a rather heretical suggestion, why don't we just remove the cupboard doors'

and i had to admit that i kept getting distracted from doing that, and now my kitchen looks actually useable again!

how did your username come to be?

Thank you for your ask ♡

So, let me start by saying that "chodzacaparodia" is the union of two Polish words without Polish characters - "chodząca parodia", which literally means "walking parody" (or in other words "walking travesty", which is what actually started my username).

In middle school I totally fell in love with All Time Low. And there's one song by this band (which is still my favorite song, but I rarely listen to it because it hits me too hard), "Therapy", which had a special impact on me at that time and I felt it with all my being. This song has the following lyrics:

Give me a therapy, I'm a walking travesty

But I'm smiling at everything.

When I came across the translation of this song, "walking travesty" was translated into "chodząca parodia" in my language. I really liked it, it sounded so cool. And at the same time I thought that it was totally me who was the walking parody. I had a difficult relationship with myself and I felt this defined me best.

I started using "Chodząca Parodia" as a kind of my artistic pseudonym, on websites where I published my poems, where I still post book reviews and currently also on ao3 and on tumblr. I just got attached to this name. And I can't hide the fact that I actually still feel like a walking travesty/parody.

Day 3!! Give it up for day 3! @jonmartinweek prompts for today were healing & recovery/self sacrifice, so this is my take on a healing & recovery fic! Hope you enjoy!

Also Jon’s therapist in this was inspired by my own counselor and @lylahammar ‘s very own Robin Kon! They were running through my head the entire time I was writing this fic and I am very excited to see what Lyla does with them in their new comic!
