I absolutely HATE how people are focusing more on the "tik tok is having a major ethical scandal" aspect of this whole bone selling company cuz that shouldn't be the focus at all. Like it's not just some "scandal" it's a major ethical issue that's emblematic of how white people view bodies of color- even after death- as things for them to profit off of. We are not afforded the same respect white people give even to animals (other animals, whatever) and now people are being rude and turning this into some "lol tik tok/twitter are always behind tumblr in major drama" thing and it's just not funny to me.

I think it's funny how white people (yes ALL of you) will whine about poc asking them to learn about racism from poc and not just through "fiction" and the excuse is that that's the easiest way to teach people lessons, but then those white people can't analyze ANY media or current events and find the racism in it. Like they will try to justify making all your villains dark skinned and then scream about why h*try p*tter is radical text (also missing Rowling's rampant *checks notes* racism, antisemitism, transphobia, transmisogyny, homophobia, fatphobia etc.). Like.....if fantasy racism is the only effective way to teach about racism, why can't y'all recognize racism better? Everyone and their mother wants to compare Trump to Voldemort and yet y'all can't recognize how the Capital Coup was a push in favor of white supremacist fascism? I think a lot of non-Americans forget that America has dropped bombs on and around communities of color in America either to outright kill us or to slowly kill us while terrorizing us. Like I know y'all get tired of learning American history cuz America is a global power but like if you looked into the insidious shit that the American government has done to it's own "citizens" of color to stop us from overthrowing it you'd realize WE aren't so different from you in terms of suffering under American terror. No but when JKR was being casually antisemitic on twitter and homophobic with her reveal that lycanthopy was an AIDS allegory, how was that not the creator of a bigoted media coming through in the media she produced? How do you separate the content from the creator when the creator defends her choice to include racist, antisemitic, homophobic and transphobic content in her media? Like you hp fans are doing gymnastics to justify your love for a franchise that at its core has always been flawed and you just shrug that off. You just hand-wave it away and say "separate the art from the artist" but the art is flawed and the artist has defended those flaws. So where does the separation happen when the artist admits to purposely being cruel?

Not a single HP fan can answer this btw because you'll all circle back to "B-b-b-but the art can be sEpArAtEd". None of you have any argument that deals in real life material affects.

The facts are that the HP series is riddled with bigotry and JKR has fought tooth and nail to justify that bigotry. JKR is a Terf (trans exclusionary radical feminist) and has included transmisogyny and casual transphobia in the books since the first book. JKR has taken her fame (from continued public support of HP) and hatred of trans women and used it to get laws in the UK passed that endanger the lives of trans people, specifically trans women and tried to get laws passed in the US. JKR has also written a new violently transmisogynistic book.

No matter how much you try to separate a series filled with bigotry from the bigot that wrote it, you're going to fail. And you want to know why? Because art does not spawn from no where. Art is not made in a vacuum. Art is not some mystical power that comes to some people in the night. Art is a product of the people that create it and if the person who creates the art is a bigot that bigotry with always shine through. People create based on what they know and what they believe to be true.

Luna does it make sense when I say that Techno gives off like old vibes but it’s very contradictory? Like you have multiple friends and colleagues of his who watched his vids before (Tommy, Wilbur, Dream, Ranboo) and looked up to him but he’s only 22. He’s been in YT since 2013, and he was only a teenager during that time. Techno speaks as if he’s been around for a decade (well close to) and seen tides change and witnessed channels rise and fall and he’s still really young. And his deep voice and cadence doesn’t help. For me it’s easy to forget he’s only 22 b/c of that. It’s very weird but also interesting to me b/c I feel like that’s such a rarity. To have someone that young who was part of the OG MCYT years. Yeah, honestly Techno does totally give off old vibes.

Like, so many of the CCs that actually know him thought he was way older than he actually is! Notably that one Quackity clip where he freaks out at the fact that Techno is only a year older than him.

As well with the whole “Who is the older twin, Wilbur or Techno?” So many people said Techno even through Wilbur is, like, notably older than Techno!

He just has the vibes of just knowing shit bc he’s just been around that long, probably because in internet terms he has been around for quite a while!

I think the fact that so many CCs look up to him as a mentor/fear-worthy op veteran plays into this vibe a lot too.

It probably also doesn’t help that chat has tried to claim him as a dad figure for several years now KEKW

Man’s just radiates mentor/dad (apparently)/older brother vibes.

It is very funny though, to see very old Techno clips and hear baby Techno swear up a storm with a tiny little kid voice.

You CANNOT tell me him heing sidelined is intentional after THIS face.

Clearly, the, "I need you," phrase that has been keeping him going is... not quite true anymore.

Because Rena Rouge is there (again, not complaining. Please don't take this the wrong way), and Ladybug also needs her. Except she knows all the secrets.

And he's the one being left behind.

It's like having to stay behind two of your friends because all three of you don't fit in the hallway.

Also note that he's that one friend no one really knows about, but they become friends because they're friends with his friend (quoted from unknown, I forgot). This was proven in Felix where the class almost immediately believed Felix's video because, "we've only known him since we came back from summer break,"

Chloe is also pushing him away too. Notice that the Ladynoir entrance cinema scene in Gang of Secrets kind of parallels with the Chloe and Adrien entrance cinema scene in Queen Banana?

Let's Talk: Adrien's Advice In Chameleon

So apparently people use Adrien's advice in Chameleon to salt on him?? *Inhales* BOI-

You have to understand that Adrien didn't know Lila threatened Marinette, making him think she's just another bully on the block who demands attention and gets it by lying.

His tip was:

"Do you really think exposing her would make things better?"

NO. It'll only make things worse and that's been proven in Volpina.

"If you humiliate her, she'll just be hurt more,"

YES. From Adrien's point of view, Lila started hating on Ladybug becuase she humiliated her in front of her crush. Hurting her more will just give her motivation to be more evil.

"Making a bad guy suffer has never turned them into a good guy,"

MOST DEFINITELY YES. And this quote, ladies and gentlemen, made me love Adrien even more (don't even bring up arresting criminals here as making them suffer, that's their PUNISHMENT).

Adrien is definitely the most mature character when it comes to dealing with bad people (he seriously LIVES WITH TWO). Exposing Lila under the circumstances in Chameleon will just backfire to Marinette.

Lila needs to LEARN. And by learn, it doesn't mean exposing, it means that she has to watch her lies unravel to chaos and discover ALL BY HERSELF that this is all her fault. NOT because Adrien and Marinette exposed her; that cancels the "learning" part and she will definitely just be motivated more, like I said.

Plus, Adrien already put Lila back to her place when she goes too far (Onichan, Ladybug), so just MOVE THE HECK ON??
