alright so I recently finished Finn family moomintroll and Tales from Moominvalley because I'm reading the series out of order and:

Moominmama has an axe??? Why wasn't this put into the 90's adaptation??? She also calls her kid an ass when he was being one??? And she tells My that if she uses foul language she'll never go to heaven???

Holy shit Teety-woo called Snufkin out, and in their little speech, the illustration of Snufkin looked so sad. I also noticed, when Teety-woo is talking about how having a name makes things mean something, because they're happening to them, whereas they used to just float around, that's kind of the same, but also the opposite of what Snufkin does.

Snufkin is the name of a species. When they meet Snufkin in comet in moominland, he never introduces himself. In Swedish his name is a tobacco pun, but in the English translation, I believe they refer to him as "a snufkin" and "The snufkin" (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!)

Snufkin lives life meaningfully, but he also just passes through places. He is unique, and the mention of Snufkin instantly brings him to your mind, yet his name is merely his species

Little My is also a master of psychological torture apparently??? Leave that poor Whomper alone.
