Like Mother, Like Daughter
Warnings: noncon/rape, mentions of prostitution, bullying/humiliation, coercion.
This is dark!Lee Bodecker and explicit. Your media consumption is your own responsibility. Warnings have been given. DO NOT PROCEED if these matters upset you.
Summary: You bail your mother out but you still owe the sheriff.
Based on these drabble requests:
Lee Bodecker + “I could crush your throat right now.” + Humiliation/bullying + y/n is the daughter of the town's hooker, but she is nothing like her mother, everyone is mean to her just because her mom's work . Lee have fun with her just bc for him she is the same trash as her mother. requested by anonymous.
You could still smell the alcohol on your mother. Her hair and clothes stank of it and the stale piss of the county jail cell. It made your eyes water, just like the glares of the townsfolk as you left the precinct.
They all knew, it was a small place, how could they not? They saw you almost every week bringing your ma out those doors, another twenty dollars to the station to set her free so she could do it all again. The same spite and disgust in their stares, the same judgment bearing down on you like a coyote on a barn cat.
“What happened to the grocery store?” you asked your ma quietly, “you said you wouldn’t do this no more. You don’t need to, ma. We got food, a roof--”
“Johnny Hatton gave me a whole bottle of whiskey,” she said, her voice still thick from the alcohol, “and for what, five minutes with my hand.”
“I don’t need to hear that,” you scowled and kept your head down as Gerry, the butcher, spat at your feet as you passed, “you want some drink, I can buy you drink, ma, but you shouldn’t be gettin’ so drunk, neither.”
“Gail fired me,” she grumbled and you kept her up before she could tumble, “found the bottle in my bag. Now I was gon’ pay for it before I left--”
You sighed and came to a stop at the corner as a car drove in front of you. You waited and watched the tail light. You took a step off the curb and nearly hit the side of the cruiser as it pulled up. The sheriff bent to meet your eye from the other end of the seat and you clung to your mother.
“Need a ride?” he asked.
“She just got out, sheriff, we’re just on our way home,” you said quietly. It was often Sheriff Bodecker who signed over your ma to you but that morning had been a cadet.
“Easier with some wheels under ya,” he said.
You sniffed and looked around. He was never overly friendly, the stern officer and his wide-brimmed hat put fear into most around, even when they hadn’t committed an offense. And like many in the town, he laughed at your ma and you, even asked you once or twice if you took after her.
“It’s not far,” you said, “but I appreciate the offer.”
“Nonsense,” his door swung open and he closed it heavily, “lemme help ya.” He came around and opened the back door, “you put her in here and take the front. She’s barely on her feet,” he took your mother’s other arm and angled her under the roof of the car, “whew, she smell like a sill.”
You held your tongue as your mother slumped across the leather and he shut the door. You stared at the side of the car and he touched your arm, “go on and get in, missy.”
You drew away from him and he pulled open the door. You ducked your head down and sat on the passengers side. He got in beside you and drove back out onto the street, easing into the sleepy small town traffic.
You were quiet; nervous. You didn’t know the sheriff to be a generous man, no one would ever say that of him. Your ma had sown a lot of discord in the town and you were no stranger to the bitterness that you inherited. Of all the people, Sheriff Bodecker should be most offended by her back alley antics.
“What’s a matter, missy?” he asked as he steered.
You shook your head and stared out the window. He stopped and tutted.
“Ya know, a lawman ask you a question and you should answer,” he warned, “now why you so quiet?”
“I don’t talk much, sir,” you shrugged.
“But you got a tongue,” he said, “and you fidgeting something awful over there.”
“I… just don’t know why you offer a ride,” you muttered, “ain’t no one round let my ma in their backseat, no even for a dime.”
“You looked like you needed help. I’m the sheriff, my job is to help,” he drove on and turned down your street.
“I suppose,” you said, “thank you.”
“See, now was that so hard?” he asked, “a thank you’s all I wanted.”
He pulled up in front of the ramshackle house you and your ma lived in. You got out without thinking and opened the back door. The other side opened and he grabbed your ma and dragged her out with his arms under hers. You tried to catch her ankle but he had her on her feet quickly, though she was swaying and half-unconscious.
“You show me where to put her,” he said as he kicked the door shut.
“I can take her,” you came around to him, “thank you, sheriff.”
“Nah, you go on and get the door, I can handle her a lot better than you, missy,” he said, “got a bit more brute in me.”
You held in a sigh and went around him. He turned and followed you up the slanted steps and you unlocked the front door. He lifted her feet and carried her over the threshold. You didn’t want him coming too far in so you backed up and watched him enter the front room.
“Just there on the sofa,” you pointed to the sagging cushions, “that’s fine.”
“Alright,” he crossed the room and put her down, he dusted off his hands on his pants as he stood straight.
He looked around and removed his hat, his fingertips tapping on his pudgy stomach as he mused at the pale interior. He clicked his tongue and turned to you again.
“Well, I know your ma ain’t much of a housekeeper but it only polite to offer a guest something to drink,” he said, “something for my trouble.”
You put your purse on the chest of drawers by the door and crossed your arms. You teetered on the balls of your feet.
“I got milk or tea, sheriff,” you said, “tap water?”
“Tea,” he said, “I wouldn’t mind something to warm me up.”
You nodded and slipped past him. You went to the kitchen and moved the kettle onto the burner. You turned on the gas and heard his boots on the floor as he appeared in the doorframe. You looked up at him and carried on, searching for some leaves in the cupboard.
You sensed him getting closer and he came up behind you. His arms snaked under yours as you reached up and moved aside the cans and boxes. He cupped your tits and pushed you against the counter. You dropped your hands to his and tried to tear them away from your chest.
“What’re you doin’?” you gasped as you wrestled with him.
“I’d say you owe me,” he rocked you against the counter, “wouldn’t you?”
“Please, let go of me,” you begged, “I’m makin’ you tea--”
“I don’t want tea,” his hand crawled down and he yanked at your skirt, “like mother like daughter, huh? You know how to pay a man.”
“Stop,” you slapped his hand and he ignored you.
He spun your around and your head swam from the suddenness of it. He scooped you up easily and sat you on the counter as he pushed between your knees. He shoved your skirt up as you fought to keep the hem down. You kicked out around him as he reached for your knickers.
“Sheriff!” you cried out.
“You wan’ wake your ma?” he growled, “let her know she taught you well? If she can even be woke.”
He snickered and tore your underwear down your legs, moving back only to get them past your ankles. He slid quickly between your legs again and pulled your closer. He grabbed your jaw and squeezed as his other hand fumbled with his belt. You whined and writhed against him.
“Now, you stay still,” his hand went to his holster, “don’t make me do anything rash, missy. I could crush your throat right now.”
“Please, sheriff,” you grabbed his wrist as he held your chin.
“You already beggin’ me, missy,” he pushed his zipper down and stepped closer as he pulled himself out above his underwear, “now let’s not get too loud or you’ll be disturbin’ the neighbours.”
He poked against your cunt as he slid you closer and reached between you to line himself up. He pushed into you with a sharp thrust and you exclaimed. His grip tightened on your jaw as your lips parted and he covered your mouth with his.
He tilted his hips painfully against you, lifting you slightly off the counter as he did. He nibbled your lip as his hand wandered down to grope your chest again. His breath hitched as he fucked you and you were surrounded by his heat. You quivered as each crash of his pelvis hurt worse than the last.
“That’s it, missy,” he purred and bent your leg around him, “just like that. Move them hips, girl.”

It was quiet. Too quiet. I hated that. The silence let my thoughts run amok and that was never good for anybody, but least of all me. I had a tendency to overthink things, and quiet and still only amplified that. Knockemstiff, Ohio was the absolute worst place to live if you hated silence, because nothing happened in that little town. About twelve years ago, there had been a veteran who killed himself after his wife died, but that was the loudest thing that had ever happened to my little Knockemstiff. I should know; I worked as a secretary at the police station. I heard all of the gossip from around town. Earlier today, someone had been arrested for being drunk, which I think everyone in Knockemstiff could be in violation of. Every other day was quiet. It was hell.
I could hear the crickets way out in the fields as I walked around the house. Those bugs served as my soundtrack as I found a box of matches and quietly slid a few into my mouth, and I padded through the house until I reached the front door. Knockemstiff was the sort of town where people didn’t use their front doors unless the Pope was showing up; it was all side doors and garages (if you were lucky enough to have one, which most of us didn’t). All that to say, I knew I could smoke by the front door and nobody would smell it.
The night was hot. Oppressive and stifling, nearly suffocating. My skin was tacky against my nightshirt as I struck a match and lit a cigarette, and I leaned up against the side of the house. The moon was full, casting silver light onto my barren front yard and the dirt road that stretched exactly from one side of town to the other that ran in front of the house. It was a weird sort of beautiful. But quiet. Oh so quiet.
Quiet, until I heard the far-off rumbling of a car. It wasn’t unheard of to get visitors in the night-- usually someone coming to ask me about the police station, because nobody had the balls or willpower to call our sheriff after hours-- but the noise drew closer at a snail’s pace. Whoever this was wasn’t in any hurry at all. Finally, a car rolled up in front of the house, the headlights off. There was a moment where I watched the car, then I sighed when the door wrenched open to reveal Lee Bodecker. The sheriff was a nice enough guy, maybe at the risk of being too nice sometimes and a total prick at others, but I was at a loss for why the hell he’d be here this late at night with his cruiser’s lights off. If it were an urgent police matter, he’d have his flashing lights on.
“You shouldn’t do that,” Sheriff Bodecker told me, his voice carrying across the yard.
“Do what?” I quipped.
His boots brushed the porch as he climbed the steps up, and I caught his eye in the moonlight. “Smoking’s unbecoming of a young woman,” Bodecker told me pointedly. “Anyway, it’s a bad habit.”
“You come to lecture me on smoking?” I asked. “I ain’t quite finished typing up that arrest report yet, if that’s what you’re after.”
“No, no,” Bodecker said. “Nah, I ain’t here for that, sugar.”
“Oh?” I said, crossing my arms. “And what are you here for?”
“We’ll get to that soon enough,” Bodecker said. “Ain’t you gonna invite me in? It’s awful late.”
“Exactly why I’m not gonna do that,” I said quickly, taking an exaggerated drag on my cigarette. “People talk, Lee. Blowjobs in the supply closet during lunch break are one thing; showing up to my house unannounced at half past midnight is something else. And I ain’t gonna be no Whore of Knockemstiff, ya hear me? Run along. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Invite me in, Y/N,” Bodecker said, tilting his head down to look me in the eyes. Bodecker was imposing: six feet tall and sturdy as a mule, even if his middle was getting a little soft. He had these steel-blue eyes that cut right to my core and gorgeous eyelashes, with puffy pink lips and a little cleft in his chin. Maybe if he were ten years younger, thirty pounds lighter, with one less marriage, I’d be into him properly, but that wasn’t the case. Our relationship was one of necessity (but aren’t they all?). His pretty little wife had stopped sucking his cock and he had a thing for my pink lipstick. It worked. That wasn’t to say that I didn’t enjoy our little trysts, because I definitely did, but something felt off about this certain encounter. He had never paid me a visit at home before. “Be a good little host for me.”
I huffed and stamped out my cigarette. “Come in, won’t you?” I grumbled, throwing open the squeaky screen door. It felt off to have Lee in my house, but everything about us was off. I guess this was only normal.
I flipped the light on and settled myself against the counter as Lee pulled off his tan sheriff’s hat. His hair was dark as pitch, shorn short on all sides but getting a little long at the top, and little wrinkles appeared at the corners of his eyes as he squinted at the pictures I had on the fridge. “And who’s this?” he asked, pressing his thumb into a picture.
I looked at it and clenched my teeth. “Boyfriend,” I answered simply.
“Oh?” Lee chuckled. “And where is he?”
“Well, right now, he’s in ‘Nam,” I answered. “He enlisted, got sent over.”
“And he didn’t propose before he left?” Lee asked, and I shook my head. “Hmm. Usually when men go to war, they make sure that they’ll have someone waiting for them when they get back.”
“Why are you here?” I asked suddenly. “What do you want?”
“The wife’s mad at me tonight,” Lee said. “She was drinking and started yellin’ at me. Said I was better gone.”
“And you came here?” I said. “Why?”
“Got nowhere else to go,” Lee shrugged. “And I figured that you’d welcome me.”
“You couldn’t go to a bar?” I asked.
“Not unless I wanted to run into my sister,” Lee said. “And I don’t feel like having a fucking lecture.”
I sucked in air through my teeth. “Fine,” I finally said. “But you’re on the couch.”
“Aw, c’mon, babe,” Lee groaned. He approached me at my place at the counter, and his arms went on either side of me, keeping me right where he wanted me. “It’s been a long day for me. You’re not really gonna make me sleep on no stinkin’ couch, are ya?”
“I sure am,” I told him. “‘Cause you’re sure as hell not sleeping in the bed.”
Lee tilted his head. “Not even a good night kiss?” he asked.
“No,” I said. “This is an inconvenience for me. I got shit to do tomorrow and I need sleep.”
“Which is why you were outside smoking,” Lee said.
“Helps me calm down,” I snapped. “Lee. Let me go.”
“You sure are a stupid little bitch, huh?” Lee sneered. “You really think I rolled up to your house just wanting a place to sleep? Honey, you shoulda been expecting more.”
Lee regularly spoke to me like this, but it was usually while I was tying my hair back and kneeling down in front of him. “Don’t call me that,” I said.
“It’s true, though, ain’t it?” Lee asked. “Just a dumb bitch, that’s all you are. You fuck a married man and try to act like you’re better than everyone else. And you don’t think everyone knows?”
My ego deflated in half a second. “Do they?” I asked shakily.
“That’s why the wife kicked me out,” Lee said. “Someone told her I was fuckin’ you, and she got mad. Asked for a divorce and all.”
“We’re not fucking, though,” I tried to counter.
“Oh, so you’ll put my cock in your mouth and call it ‘convienience’, but you draw the line at calling that ‘fucking’?” Lee scoffed. “C’mon, sugar. The whole town already knows it.” I tried to keep my chin up, but I know that Lee saw my lip trembling. “Oh,” he chuckled. “Except the whole town doesn’t know, do they? Your little boyfriend goes to sacrifice himself for the betterment of our fuckin’ country, and you’re here, whoring yourself out for me? Is that why you don’t wanna fuck me proper? Saving your first time for that bitch-boy?”
“I’m not a virgin,” I said, but Lee instantly saw through my lie.
“Bullshit,” he said. “You know how I know? You suck cock like a high schooler.” Lee’s hand went to my waist, and he held me a tight, bruising grip. His hands were so much stronger than I had imagined, and an unfamiliar heat bloomed between my legs. My arousal wasn’t usually a part of the supply closet moments between us, and I had never really felt that before my boyfriend left. This was uncharted territory for me, and I hated that Lee seemed to instantly know that. “I bet you think about me every night, don’t you?” Lee asked. He leaned into me and pressed a kiss to my neck, and a shiver ran down my spine. “Don’t you?” He growled, taking my skin between his front teeth.
“Fuck,” I hissed. “You’re a dick.”
“Answer me,” Lee snapped, smacking my ass hard enough to make me gasp in pain. “You think of me fucking you stupid every single goddamn night, don’t you? I can tell, with the way you eye me at the station. You’re not subtle, honey, not in the slightest.”
“Lee,” I whimpered. “You’re hurting me.”
“Good,” Lee huffed into my neck. He shoved his hips against mine with enough force for my waist to collide with my countertop, and I became well and truly stuck between Lee’s rock-hard cock and the counter. I knew what he was offering, and I couldn’t deny that the thought of his thick cock inside of me made butterflies erupt in my tummy. He kissed my neck, becoming more needy by the second, and he finally sank his teeth into my skin. “Gonna have to make up your mind, sugar, or I’ll do it for you.”
I gulped down my anxiety, and I whispered, “Be gentle.”
“That’s a good girl,” Lee chuckled. “Show me where that bed is, sugar. I’m gonna fuck you ‘til you can’t remember your own goddamn name.”
As soon as I pulled Lee into my bedroom, he had pushed me onto the bed and was kissing me hard. He bit my lips and sucked on my tongue, and he swallowed every pathetic moan I let out. God, I was pathetic. I was shaking, I wanted him so badly. Lee obviously knew that and had no problem with letting it go to his head, because he situated himself over me and gave me a wolfish smile. “You want me to undress you, sugar?” he asked.
“I can do it,” I told him.
Quickly, I rid myself of my nightshirt, and my skin tingled at the exposure to the air. Lee gave a gentle sigh, almost like one of relief, and dipped his head to my chest. He ran his tongue from the dip of my neck to between my breasts, and he latched his teeth onto one of my nipples with no warning. I nearly gave a shout of surprise, but I kept it contained. If this bit of foreplay was any indication, there would be enough time for shouting and crying later.
“These…” Lee growled, grabbing at my breasts with rough hands. “Perfect fuckin’ tits, sugar, Jesus. Wanna come all over them. I just might have to.”
Lee’s mouth went to my other breast, and one of his hands fluttered down from my chest to my waist, and even lower. Again, without so much as a censure, he pushed a finger past my folds and sunk himself knuckle-deep into my throbbing heat. My back arched against my will and I cried out at the amazing feel of it, and Lee laughed into my tits. “I’m only doin’ this ‘cause it’s your first time,” Lee told me, slowly dragging his finger in and out of me. It was a feeling like nothing I had ever experienced before, and I felt tears welling in my eyes. It was so fucking good. “If I had it my way, I’d already have my cock in you. Have you on your belly, fucking the hell outta you, watching myself fuck you so deep.”
“Please, Lee,” I sobbed.
Through my watery gaze, I saw Lee smile against my chest. “Oh, what a good girl,” he moaned softly. “You’re my little fuck-toy, ain’t ya? Just fuckin’ desperate and begging for it. I guess it won’t take too long to fuck you absolutely stupid, will it?” I shook my head, and I jerked in surprise when his calloused finger drove itself into that spot inside of me. I called out his name; I was too far gone to care about the sick pleasure I knew it gave him. “Beg for it, sugar. Beg me to fuck you dumb.”
“Please, Lee,” I whimpered. “Lee, fuck, please. I-I want you to fuck me so hard, please, babe.”
Lee withdrew his fingers from me and sent a hard slap to my throbbing clit. This time, my gasp was one of genuine pain. “That ain’t what you call me and you fuckin’ know it,” he grunted. “Do it right or don’t do it at all.”
I knew what he wanted, and I was too far gone to care. “Oh, Daddy, please,” I mewled, squirming, longing for his touch once more. “Fuck me, Daddy, fuck me ‘til I can’t walk. I want you so deep in my pussy, please.”
“That’s more like it,” Lee whispered. Then, with a strength that I didn’t know that he possessed, he turned me onto my stomach and tugged my hips into the air. My arms shook as I tried to steady myself, and I felt my wet arousal drip down my thigh. As I tried to steady my breathing and remove the fog from my mind, I heard the sounds of Lee undoing his belt and shoving his pants down his thick thighs. His big hand captured a handful of my hair unexpectedly and he tugged me upright with only a small huff of exertion, and he bit my neck again. Lee Bodecker was an animal, and I liked it that way.
One hand stayed in my hair as his other guided himself inside of me, and I nearly felt sick. The stretch was otherworldly and, dare I say, painful. Maybe the prep he had been doing wasn’t such a poor idea. But I had made my bed; now I had to lie in it. “Slow down,” I panted, feeling the tears return, and I writhed in his grip. “Fuck, Daddy, it hurts.”
“I know it does,” Lee whispered, biting my ear. “But you asked for this. You asked for me to fuck you, and I’m gonna do just that. And ya know what? I think I’ll come in this pretty little cunt. What do you think of that?” I started to protest, but Lee shoved his fingers in my mouth, effectively shutting me the hell up. Even if I wanted to say something, I couldn’t. “Fill you up to the fuckin’ brim, have it drip outta you, it’ll be such a filthy thing to see. Your little boytoy comes home from the war and you’ve been letting an older, married guy stuff you full of cum? You think he’ll like that? Think he’ll wanna share?” Lee snapped his hips forward, fully burying himself inside of me, and I gave a wrecked sob around his fingers. I thought for sure that he would split me in two.
Lee’s fingers dug into my hip as he started a steady rhythm. I truly had no idea how old he was-- I imagined probably late 30s or early 40s-- but he was fucking me hard and fast with the stamina of someone my age. Either he had a lot of expertise in the field or he truly had the fantasy of coming inside of me and was wanting to hurry the process along. The more I thought about it, I realized that I really knew nothing about Lee. Not his wife’s name or if he had kids; I didn’t even know that he had a sister until he had mentioned it earlier. However, something about not knowing was better than knowing. At least, this way, I could sort-of distance myself from the act. I was fucking the sheriff (or, technically, he was fucking me), but we weren’t an item. I was just his favorite toy.
Lee suddenly wrenched my arms behind me and captured them against his chest, fully restraining me and leaving me pliable for him. With his fingers still in my mouth, I could hardly do anything but submit, but I liked that. I couldn’t tell if the throbbing in my pussy was pleasure borne from the way he was punishing my g-spot, or pain derived from his taut balls hitting my wet pussy every second. I had gotten my wish; there was to be no walking in the morning. I could feel spit gathering at the corners of my mouth, and I nearly choked on it, but Lee suddenly slowed down, molding his soft body against my back. “Fuck, honey, I’m gettin’ close,” he panted in my ear. “Now’s the time to tell me if you want me to come in ya or not.”
His fingers left my mouth, and I tried to form any thought. Lee was the only thing in my head, though, and I could only whimper out his name. That was answer enough for him, because he released my arm and shoved me down onto the bed. His hand grasped the back of my neck and held me down as his hips pounded in and out of me, huffing and panting. I never could have imagined that the sound of that would have turned me on as much as it did, but my muscles tightened around his fat cock, and he laughed. “Aw,” he cooed. “Does the little cunt need to come? I’ll be honest, I forgot all about that. Wanna make a mess all over Daddy’s cock, don’t you?”
I answered with a keening whine, but that didn’t seem to be enough for Lee. He smacked my ass hard, surely adding to the redness and bruising that I know already existed, and he fisted my hair tighter. “Answer me, bitch,” he growled. “Say it. Say ‘I wanna come on your cock, Daddy’.”
“I wanna--” I started, and a shudder went down my body when I felt something warm and wet find home on my asshole. I was so far past the point of degradation, and my mind instantly went somewhere else. I had heard about that, sure, but I had never imagined that that could be something that I wanted. And yet, here I was, Lee’s spit coating my ass, mumbling out words that would send me to hell. “Fuck, Daddy. Can you fuck my ass?”
“Oh, is that what you want?” Lee asked. “As tempting as that is, I’ll save that for another night. I’m not sure you’re a virgin, sugar, begging for it up the ass. But, fuck, it looks so good… I guess we have something to look forward to, huh?”
Lee’s arm wound around my body and he instantly went to my poor clit. His fingers had tugged at it enough to make it tender to the touch, and he abused it as he fucked right into my g-spot. “Jesus Christ,” Lee whispered. “Squeezing the shit outta me. I’m serious, honey, let me know if you don’t want me to come in you. You’re about to not-- fuck, Y/N-- have a choice.”
“I want it,” I told him. “I fuckin’ want it.”
That seemed to be the final straw, because Lee sent one more hard fuck into me, and I felt his cock twitch before warmth spilled into my pussy. The squelching as he continued to fuck me through his orgasm was so loud that I was afraid that the whole of Knockemstiff would hear it, but I couldn’t make up my mind on whether I cared or not. Somewhere in the middle of that, Lee cussed and began to rub my belly, whispering sweet things to me that would have felt out of place only minutes before. I didn’t realize that I had come. I liked the feeling of it, though, especially with how sweet Lee was suddenly.
“Good girl,” Lee told me. He shushed me as I moaned and cried, my pleasure edging on pain, and he pushed my hair away from my neck and placed gentle, open-mouthed kisses on my throat. “So, so good for me, ain’t ya? So goddamn pretty when you’re coming all over my cock. I can’t tell you how much I dreamt of this…”
My entire body trembled as Lee pulled out of me, and I collapsed onto my bed, panting and trying to form a coherent thought that wasn’t just the sheriff’s name. Only a few seconds passed before he was on me again, but it felt different this time. Lee moved the two of us under the blankets and rubbed my back, and he kissed my forehead gently. I nearly thought it was love. As my tears dried and feeling returned to my fingers and toes, I became aware that Lee was naked against me. As far as I knew, he hadn’t undressed as he had fucked me. His skin was so warm and it was comforting, and I nuzzled my head into his soft chest. My throat was so dry as I tried to swallow to form words, and Lee titled my face up in order for me to look him in those pretty blue eyes of his.
“How’re ya feeling, sugar?” He asked, his voice as wrecked and raw as mine. “Feelin’ alright?”
“Sore,” I mumbled. “It hurts, Lee.”
“I’m sorry, honey,” Lee whispered, and I knew that he was being honest. Lee was perhaps the biggest jerk in town, his elected title obviously inflating his ego more than it should have, but I never knew that he was capable of being sweet in this manner. “I was real rough with ya and I just shouldn’t have been. I feel plum awful ‘bout it.”
“No,” I croaked, splaying my hands against his chest. Underneath the coarse hair, I could make out white marks on his skin, and I pressed my forehead against him. As I studied his body, I saw more and more of the marks, and it was only when I saw my hip against his that I connected the dots. Stretch marks. My Lee had stretch marks all over him, just like I did. “Please don’t. I woulda stopped you if it was too much. Thank you.”
Lee nodded and sighed into my messy hair. “You looked so beautiful,” he told me. “Any man that calls you his is a lucky fuckin’ bastard, I’ll tell you that much.”
I couldn’t help myself. My lips pressed against my chest, and I took care to kiss every mark I laid my eyes on. “You’re…” I began. “You’re gorgeous, Lee.”
“Nah, knock that shit off,” Lee chuckled. “I ain’t nothin’ compared to you, sugar.”
“No, really,” I told him. “Those big blue eyes, your pink cheeks… Your fat fuckin’ cock--” I laughed at myself, and Lee kissed the top of my head. “You’re the most handsome man I ever met.”
“Even more than your soldier boyfriend?” Lee asked.
“My soldier boyfriend’s like a twig, Lee,” I told him. “There’s nothing there for me. But you…”
“I’m fuckin’ fat, s’what I am,” Lee said with a smile, but I saw the hurt in his eyes. “I’m old and I’m fat--”
“Alright, shut up,” I said. Suddenly, a different sort of desire burned in me, and I pushed Lee onto his back before I straddled his waist. “There ain’t nothing wrong with you, ya hear? You are fucking perfect, Lee.”
The insecurity flashed across his face, darkening his features for only a second. “But the marks--”
I twisted my body to show him my hip and thigh. “I got ‘em too,” I said. “And don’t act like you didn’t see them, not for one second. And what did you do? You didn’t give a shit. I don’t either. They’re a part of you, and you are so sexy, Lee. I wanted to jump your bones from the moment I met you, and nothing ‘bout that’s changed and nothing’ll make it change. And ya know what? I’d reckon you’re stuck with me, so get used to it.”
“Oh, I’m stuck with ya, am I?” Lee asked with a smile. He tugged me down to him, pressing his tongue into my mouth once more, and the ache between my legs was replaced with the now-familiar pleasing tingle. “And I get no say in it?”
“I think you got your say when you wanted to fuck me up the ass,” I said, sinking my teeth into his plush bottom lip. “What a fuckin’ cliche we are, huh? The sheriff fuckin’ his secretary.”
“When I first hired you,” Lee began, his warm hands traveling all over my body, and his fingers took special care to trace the white marks along my thighs, hips, tits, and ass. “My wife hated the idea. She said she was worried that late nights at the station would wreak havoc on me, and having a pretty little thing like you there with me was dangerous.”
“Don’t go talkin’ ‘bout your wife,” I groaned. “That’s such a turn off, Lee.”
“Oh, is it?” Sheriff Lee Bodecker laughed, stuffing his fingers back inside me, just like nothing had ever happened. “‘Cause you seem all wet for Daddy, just the same.”

If you’re up for more of a series could you possibly write the part of Remus recovering at home after leaving the game (the one with the stick to the face) and Sirius having to take care of him and all that?
Yes, I can! I’m so glad you guys are enjoying the continuation of something I wrote so long ago <3 Side note: I would give my left foot to be part of the Lions groupchat. Sweater Weather credit goes to @lumosinlove!
TW for bruises and blood
Sirius was worried. Even though Remus claimed he felt fine, he was just fine, everything was fine, a small seed of doubt lingered in the back of his mind. He had dozed off in the car on the way home—Sirius’ heart had stuttered for a moment before the swelling-enhanced snores started. His phone lit up every few seconds, but he didn’t dare take his eyes off the road for even a millisecond, just in case.
Remus woke when the car stopped and immediately winced. “What’s wrong?” Sirius asked, taking the hand that rested on his thigh.
“Just hurts.” Remus kissed his knuckles as best he could. His skin felt strange, and the edge of the tape was an unfamiliar sensation next to the softness of his lips. Sirius collected their gear from the trunk, then helped him up the front steps; just as he went to unlock the door, he felt Remus’ hand tighten on his forearm. “I hate not being able to see well.”
Sirius kissed his temple. “That’s what you’ve got me for.”
Hattie stopped in her tracks as soon as the door opened, and Remus frowned. “Hatters? Where are you, sweet girl?”
“She’s here.” Sirius whistled for her and crouched, setting their bags aside while Remus sat crosslegged on the floor and held his arms out. Hattie’s tail wagged low, almost as if she was afraid; she glanced up at Sirius, who tilted his head back toward Remus. “Go on, mon chou, he’s not going to break.”
“C’mere,” Remus said softly, shifting in her direction. “C’mere, babycakes. I need some cuddles right now—there we go. Okay, Hat Trick, okay.”
Sirius carefully closed the door as Hattie climbed into Remus’ lap and let him hug her, resting her chin on his shoulder. “Good girl,” Sirius said softly. A quiet sniffle led to a flinch. “Re? What’s wrong?”
“I fucking love our dog.” His voice sounded even more clogged than before.
“Are you alright?”
“It really hurts.” A shuddering breath made Hattie nuzzled closer. “Hey, good girl. I love you.”
Sirius sat down next to them and wrapped his arm around Remus’ shoulder, tracing a pattern with his thumb. “Deep breaths. You can take more Tylenol in a few hours. Let’s go get some ice, yeah?”
“Can I stay here with her?”
“Of course.” Sirius kissed the top of his head and gave Hattie a gentle pet before walking into the kitchen and grabbing an ice pack out of the freezer, as well as a towel to wrap it. The last thing Remus needed was a freezer-burned bruise. They were in the same position when he came back, though Remus raised his head from her thick fur when he heard him coming. “I’m going to put it on your face, okay?”
“Okay.” Remus sighed when the ice pressed against his eye and one hand came up to cradle Sirius’, running carefully down to his wrist. “Love you.”
“I love you, too. I was thinking about making some soup if you want to hang here for a bit.”
Remus nodded silently, though his lower lip wobbled in the one spot it wasn’t puffy. Sirius carefully transferred the ice pack to his hand and ran his thumbs over Remus’ cheekbones—usually they were sharp enough to cut glass, but now they were purple and overheated under his touch. He kissed each one before going back to the kitchen.
After grabbing some soup from the freezer and turning the stove on, he finally took his phone out. You Have: 20 New Messages

Home safe. Re is fine, getting lots of cuddles from Hattie. Thanks for the messages.
He sent a few more texts to the individual people and, after a quick conversation with Hope, stirred the soup until it began to bubble. Remus entered the kitchen a few seconds after he took two bowls out of the cupboard. “Smells good.”
“It does. Are the lights bugging you?”
“Nah. At least I can see.”
Sirius poured out two portions and set one in front of Remus, handing him a spoon as well. “Careful, it’s hot.”
The corner of his mouth twitched. “Can’t cook it cold.”
Sirius’ phone began to ping several times in rapid succession and he turned the ringer off quickly, checking the screen to make sure there wasn’t an emergency. “Leo’s bringing us soup in the morning.”
“Neat. Is everyone else okay?” Remus blew the steam off his spoon.
“The guys are all worried about you.” Sirius glanced back up, only to see Remus staring down at his soup bowl, frozen in place. “Re? Sweetheart, what’s wrong?”
“Is this my mom’s?” he asked in a small voice.
Sirius wracked his brain. “…I think so? It was in the freezer. Is that okay?”
He nodded silently and a tear dripped down his cheek. “ ‘s fine.”
“Are you sure?” He reached across the counter and pressed Remus’ hand between his own, wiping his cheek dry.
“God, I miss them. You called her, right? To let her know I’m fine?”
“I did. She told me to give you something.”
Remus’ eyebrows drew together and he looked up. “What?”
Sirius scooted around the table and wrapped his arms around Remus, pulling him in for a tight hug and pressing his face into his curls. “This.”
“Thank you.” Remus went a little boneless against him. “I needed that.”
“I bet. Do you want me to give them another call so you can talk to her?”
Remus squinted at the clock. “It’s pretty late.”
“They’re still awake.”
“Could we?” Remus dug around in his pocket and handed it to Sirius, who dialed Hope’s number and put it on speakerphone.
The call connected on the first ring. “Hello?”
“Hey, mom.”
“Are you okay, love?” Hope sounded like she was on the verge of tears already. “You sound a little funny.”
“A little banged up, but I’m alright.” Remus gripped Sirius’ hand tightly. “We heated up the soup you left us.”
“Oh, I’m so glad. Have you taken any Tylenol? Ibuprofen is bad for bruises, but I don’t know how much pain you’re in.” Her voice hitched at the end of the sentence.
“Mom, it’s okay,” Remus said gently. “It’s okay, I promise I’m fine. It looked worse than it was.”
Looks pretty bad to me. “Hestia took really good care of him,” Sirius said instead. “We got home safe and we’re icing up now.”
“What’s the healing look like? Sirius said you didn’t have a concussion.”
Thank you, Remus mouthed before turning back to the phone. “About two weeks, mostly for the little scrapes.”
The ‘little scrapes’ were held together by strips of medical tape, but once again, Sirius kept his thoughts to himself. “The blood was just a regular old nosebleed and a cut on the lip.”
Hope paused and they heard a new voice in the background. “Alright. Is it okay if Jules and your father say goodnight?”
“Yeah, totally.” Remus sniffled and Sirius silently handed him a tissue.
The line crackled for a moment. “Re?”
“Hey, buddy!” All trace of pain and exhaustion disappeared from his voice. “How’s it going?”
“Are you still bleeding?”
“Nope, my nose is a-okay. I’ve got a pretty cool black eye, though. Kinda look like a pirate.”
“The announcers were saying you were really hurt.” Jules’ voice wavered and Sirius’ heart broke a bit.
“Well, they were wrong.” Remus leaned closer to the phone, as if he could reach right through it. “In two weeks I’ll be good as new. I was really lucky.”
“Okay,” Jules still sounded unsure. “Mom says I have to go to bed.”
“Yeah, it’s late, buddy. Sleep well. I love you.”
“Love you, too.”
There was a rustling noise. “Remus?”
“Hey, dad.” The exhaustion returned and Sirius rubbed his back gently, letting him lean on his shoulder.
After a moment of hesitation, Lyall sighed. “Alright, they’re in the other room. What actually happened?”
“High stick from the Ravens caught me in the face. No concussion, just bruises and swelling.”
“Do I want to ask Sirius to send me a picture?”
Remus winced. “Probably not.”
He sighed again. “I’m sorry we can’t come out and see you.”
“Don’t worry about it, dad,” Remus said softly. “Really, I’m okay. It sucks, it hurts, I’ll ice it and be fine.”
“Sirius, are you there?”
“I’m here.”
“If he starts pulling some ‘go back to practice early’ bullshit—”
“Dad—”
“—don’t let him. If you have to lock him in the bathroom, I promise to cover for you.”
“Yes, sir,” Sirius laughed.
Lyall chuckled on the other end as Remus groaned. “Love you.”
“Love you, too. If Sirius locks me in a bathroom, I’m citing you in the court case.”
“There won’t be enough witnesses if he does it right. Sleep well, kiddo. Thanks for calling.”
“Love you,” Remus said again as the call ended. He blew out a long breath and leaned his forehead on Sirius’ chest. “Thank you for that.”
“Ne rien, mon loup. You should eat and then take a shower.”
“Are you saying I smell?” Remus teased.
“Yes, I am. I also think you’ll feel better if you do.”
They ate in silence; both were hungry, so it wasn’t long before Remus walked carefully up the stairs. Sirius checked the groupchat as he poured himself a third bowl of soup. You Have: 7 New Messages.

Sirius paused just before responding. Despite the quiet of the house, he couldn’t hear the shower running. “Re?”
“Up here.”
“Did you take a shower already?”
“Not yet.”
The bathroom door was ajar and the light was on when he entered their bedroom; Remus stood at the sink, staring into the mirror as he felt along the edges of the butterfly tape at his lip. “Did something happen?”
“It’s worse than I thought.” Sirius stepped inside and joined him, staring at their reflections. The stripes that marked the stick’s edges had turned almost indigo since they left the rink; no less than six pieces of tape decorated the places between mottled bruises. Remus reached up to touch his cheekbone and Sirius guided his hand back down.
“Poking it won’t help.”
“Two weeks, huh?”
“That’s what Hestia told me.”
“Will you help me get the tape off?”
Sirius patted the edge of the counter and Remus pushed himself up on it, leaning forward for easy access. The first one was easy—a small cut just below his brow. It slid away without an issue and Sirius pressed a gentle kiss to the spot, then moved on to the next one. They fell into a rhythm—one side, second side, slow pull, and a kiss, until only two were left.
Remus hissed in pain as he lifted the edge of the tape across the bridge of his nose and Sirius shushed him softly, moving to the other side. “Two more, sweetheart.”
“Just rip it off.”
Sirius gave him a look. “Absolutely not.”
“I’ll do it.”
“No, you won’t, because that would be a stupid idea.”
Remus huffed, but didn’t protest. His jaw ticked as Sirius pulled the last bit off. “Can we leave the lip one?”
“Not unless you want an infection.”
“You’d be a good PT.”
“I would be the worst PT.” Sirius worked the inner edge free. “I know, like, ten stretches and basic first aid. My bedside manner sucks, too, and I’d pass the fuck out if someone asked me to set a bone for them.”
“Good points all around,” Remus laughed.
The motion pulled the last of the tape off and Sirius held it up with a grin. “All done. Hey, your swelling is down. I can see your eyes now.”
The slight gleam of amber brightened as Remus smiled. “I thought I could see a little better.”
“Do you want company?”
Remus thought for a moment, prodding the cut on his lip with his tongue. “As much as I’d love to invite you in, I think I need a second to myself.”
“Cool.” Sirius kissed his cheek and stepped out of the bathroom. “Yell if you need anything. I’ll be in bed.”
He made a pit stop downstairs to gather Hattie and bring Remus’ ice pack up, and by the time he finally slid between the sheets it was nearly midnight. Remus came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, looking happier but still incredibly worn out. He took another Tylenol and snuggled up against Sirius’ side with a quiet hum, laying the ice pack over his face once again.
“Sleep tight, Re.”
“Love you.”

Chapter Two » Target
A/N: I’m trying to figure out if it’d be better for me to post on another website instead of tumblr, where it isn’t really a site meant for fics yk? But I can’t decide which to post on, like Ao3 or Quotev,
Chapter One | Masterlist | Chapter Three
-
“Hey—“
“No.”
You do a double take at the quick rejection, sputtering in shock. “I haven’t said anything yet!” You protest, waving your arms in the air in front of him.
“The answer is no, Miss [Lastname].” Axel says, releasing an exasperated sigh. Groaning in annoyance and frustration, you huff and look at him with desperate eyes.
Your pleading expression makes the male push up his glasses and clear his throat, clearly avoiding your face. “..no.”
Axel continues his walk to the car, remaining avoidant and ignorant of your facial expression. Your pestering and lingering body towards his makes him tense, as he brings a hand up to his face to block his peripheral vision. “..Would you quit that?”
“No.”
You grin cheekily and the male breathes out from his nostrils, clearly growing annoyed with you already. “You know what? Very well, Miss [ Lastname ]. Let’s go.”
You widen your eyes with delight and cheer. “Yes! Time for some boba!”
Running off towards the car excitedly, Axel could only watch with eyes of disbelief at how much you adored the bubble drink.
Yet, he couldn’t suppress the defeated smile he wore.
On your way to the car, having just exited your father’s former building that you were no in charge of, you fail to see a particular pinkette in the all white police uniform, appearing nervous and shaky as he makes his way up the steps and into the building by himself.
Axel, however, notices the uniform immediately. “Police? What reasons do they have for being here?...” his eyes lingered in the direction of the entrance before he turned away.
‘..Maybe I’m overthinking..’
Hesitantly, Axel pushes the thought to the side as he continues on his merry way towards the car, getting a sudden uneasy filling stirring inside him regardless.
“H-Hi, I was hoping to see Miss [Name Lastname]?” The pinkette asks the front desks shyly, scratching the side of his cheek with his index finger, securing his blue glasses above his head as well.
“My apologies, sir, but Miss [Lastname] just left, she finished a meeting with some lawyers just now.”
Koby’s eyes widens at that news. “She just left?”
The male is quick to rush outside and scans around the building area, finding none recognizable faces but a sleek black car driving off.
“Ah.. I missed her?..” he sweatdrops at the realization of possibly having just passed her and the certain lecture he’ll received for a rice cracker loving chief. “Oh no..”
“Would you like me to come in with you?” Axel questions, glancing to the girl beside him as he parks the car to the side, right outside the boba tea shop.
“Nah, I’ll be quick. Want anything?” You hum, beginning to take off your seatbelt and reaching to make sure you had cash.
Axel ponders for a moment before shaking his head. “I’m fine.” He responds, holding out a credit card for you.
Thanking him, you stare at him for a moment before snorting. “Yeah, right. Strawberry with boba bursts right?” You giggle at Axel’s sputter and hint of pink cheeks.
“Oi, shut it, you! You better not—“
“Okay, I’ll be back with our drinks!” You sing, quickly opening the door and shutting it behind you loudly.
Axel huffs and looks away, clicking his tongue in annoyance at the young girl but couldn’t help the tiny smile that formed on his lips.
But it quickly faded away. “Wait, was she wearing a mask?” He thought before leaning back in the car seat. “No.. it’ll be fine.” He mumbles to himself.
“Welcome to Asia Boba, what can I get you?” The friendly worker asks with a patient smile, making you do the same.
“Can I get [ boba drink ] and a strawberry milk tea with strawberry bursts? Both large, please!”
“Of course, anything else?”
“No, that’s all, thank you.” Handing the card over, you wait patiently and look around the shop curiously, glancing at a couple of the customers before taking the card and receipt back with you.
“Your drinks will be made shortly, we’ll call out your name so may I get your—“
“It’s [Name], [N-A-M-E]. Thanks!”
You walk off towards the side and lean against the side of the wall, pulling a strand of your hair behind your ear as you waited patiently.
Meanwhile, a particular navigator leans on her palm, bringing her drink up to her lips as she sat with her leg crossed over the other, pouting.
“How are we going to find the daughter of a multi-millionaire in a big city like this?” She sulks, looking through the news on her phone in her other hand.
The woman across from her, adorning a simple purple hat over her luscious black hair, smiles. “Give it time, Nami. We’ll find her somehow.”
Nami frowns but slowly nods as she looks around the store mindlessly, until her eyes stop on you.
“...” she stares blankly for a few minutes, finding your outer appearance a little familiar, glancing back to her phone instinctively and abruptly gasps.
“It’s you!”
She slams her hands on the table as she stands up, eyes wide. “You’re [Name]!”
You blink hearing your name and look up to see a orange-haired beauty staring at you with wide eyes, and a pair of blue eyes belonging to a gorgeous raven-haired woman along with her.
“I’m... [Name]..” you slowly nod, furrowing your brows. “Do I know you?..”
‘She doesn’t look familiar... definitely not a schoolmate..’ you thought, cutting your thoughts off when you heard your name.
Turning away, you went over to the counter and took your two drinks with ease, thanking the person once again as you grabbed some straws and began to leave.
“W-Wait, do you mind if we talked with you?”
You glance back at the beauty and frowned slightly. “Kind of.. I’m in a rush and he doesn’t really like waiting..” you mumble before turning back.
“Sorry. See you then.” Bowing your head lightly, you turn back and begin to walk off.
Nami stands surprise at the rejection, unable to do anything but watch you leave. “It’ll be fine, Nami. We’ll have our chance another time, we can’t force her after all.” Robin assures.
You head on over to the car, passing a pair of arguing men with green and blonde hair on the way, and open the passenger door, entering the car.
“Here.”
Extending his drink out to him, Axel takes it, along with a blue straw before speaking. “Did everything go alright?”
“Mmh, I mean.. there was some girl who recognized me, but—“
Sudden knocking on the glass window interrupts you, making you jump and Axel’s stare to sharpen as he looks to the window.
Outside, was the Orange-haired beauty from earlier.
It was tinted, so she wouldn’t be able to inside but the two were able to see out.
“Oh, that’s her!” You instinctively recoil away, becoming uncomfortable. “She recognized me and asked if we could talk..”
Quick to set his drink down, he discreetly reached his hand into the inner sleeve of his jacket while his other hand positioned itself to lower the window.
Once it was lowered enough, Nami smiles charismatically. “Hello! I know you said someone wouldn’t really be patient if we talked, so I wanted to ask permission! This is reallyyyy urgent, you see!”
Robin just shakes her head from inside the shop, smiling amusingly at her friend’s stubbornness, whilst the two arguing boys blink confusedly at the orangette’s sudden action in front of them.
Axel’s stare deepens on the female, his hand inching closer into his inner sleeve before she spoke again.
“I didn’t mean to interrupt your date with your boyfriend, honest! But, Mr. Boyfriend, do you mind if I talked with her just for a few minutes?”
His brow twitches at the assumption while you sputter. “B-Boyfriend? I—“
“My apologies, Miss. I can’t permit you to have a conversation with Miss [Lastname] at this moment, she’s quite busy, you see. If you’d like to speak with her, please call this number to make an appointment.”
Instantly, his fingers held out a business card out for her, which she took out of instinct.
“Much gratitude for your understanding. Goodbye, now.” Axel says, immediately rolling up the window and starting up the engine.
“Wa—“
Axel steps on the gas and the car accelerates and begins driving off, leaving Nami staring breathless.
“That was unexpected.”
The handsome assistant said nothing in response as he parks the car outside your home.
Before he could finally speak, his phone rings, initiating him to pick it up in seconds.
“Hello?”
You bring your cup to your lips to drink, taking in the boba through the straw as you listen to Axel’s conversation.
“Huh? What for? She hasn’t seen him in years.”
‘Is he talking about me?’ You thought as the assistant pushes up his glasses and exhales deeply.
“It’s not up to me, you’ll have to take this up with her. ... Make an appointment then. ... what did you say?!”
Axel hisses a small curse under his breath and aggressively hangs up. “That son of a...”
“Something wrong?” You ask, continuing to sip your drink while Axel shakes his head. “Nothing, let’s go. You have a guest..” he grits out.
“Hah? A guest?”
“Ah, little [Name]! Long time no see, hasn’t it? Gurararara!”
Your eyes widens when you enter your large home and see a familiar old man sitting in your living room.
“Woah, gramps!” You awe in disbelief, jogging towards him with excitement before stopping short in front of him. “Wow, I can’t remember the last time I saw you! Pops!”
Whitebeard merely grins as he pats your head, chuckling.
Axel clicks his tongue at your indecency and impulsive actions. “Miss [Lastname], your shoes please.” He sighs out, shaking his head as he sets his drink down onto a drawer.
“Too long it’s been, my dear. And I see Axel is still sticking around.” The old man hums, nodding his head towards Axel’s direction.
The male is quick to bow respectively towards him. “Yes, it’s a pleasure to see you again, Mister Whitebeard.”
Said man exhales in slight disappointment. “What will it take to get you to call me pops, Axel? I already think of you as my son.”
Axel says nothing and looks away, pushing up his glasses as he glances to the pair of boys at Whitebeard’s side. He bows to them respectively as well.
“I assume you two are with Mr. Whitebeard?”
“That’s right. You don’t have to bow-yoi.” The blonde speaks with lazed, half-lidded eyes and a gentle smile.
The other also smiles kindly and nods in agreement. “We apologize for coming in so suddenly, but we just had to discuss something with Miss [Name].” The other spoke, with long black hair tied into a bun and wearing a pink Yukata and a sexy, deep voice.
“With me?” You perk up, glancing to the pretty one and widen your eyes. “Oh, you’re so pretty! Er.. handsome, I guess I should say.”
The male chuckles in amusement, smiling warmly at you. “I appreciate the compliment, I’m fine with either one. I also think you are very beautiful.” He smoothly expresses, his voice making you in awe.
‘His voice is so nice.. wow..’ you thought, suddenly feeling your cheeks flush at the compliment as you turn away.
“Careful now, Izo. Don’t overwhelm my precious daughter like that.” Whitebeard warns and Izo takes a step back. “Of course, my apologies, [Name].”
“N-No, you’re okay.” You mumble a bit shyly, looking to the blonde and recognizing him from yesterday. “So, what’s your name?”
“Marco.” The blonde replies simply, smiling lightly. “Nice to meet you.” You smile a little and nod, turning back to Whitebeard.
“What did you want to talk about?”
“Take a seat, [Name].” Whitebeard says, shifting as he sits up straighter and you frown, going across from him and sitting on the couch. Axel is quick to appear behind you, standing.
“I’ll get straight to the point. You, my darling, are in danger.”

With Big Mom’s Family «
“What shall we do, Mama?”
The big 16 feet tall, Charlotte brother asks his mother, arms crossed and standing up straight with perfect posture, signature scarf laced around his neck.
“Mamamamama, we will capture her into the family, and take that power!” Big Mom sings, popping a large pastry into her mouth.
“Yes, Mama.”
-
A/N : so.. this definitely seems rushed, mostly and probably because I don’t want to drag on too long, especially since there’s so many people you still have to meet, yk? Hope you understand! :3 ch 3 already in the making lol
so someone asked if I could put in the beast Pirates and Big Mom’s crew. I will try, but because it’s been a while since I even seen a clip of one piece, I literally can’t remember much about those two groups specifically, so I deeply apologize if some things are a little off! I’ll definitely try to incorporate them into this, especially since I forgot about Katakuri and want him in here lol- I promise to do my best!! ^^ beast Pirates however won’t be making too much of an interaction, mostly because I barely know anything about them.. so sorry ;-;

Amour à la française...
For the sweet @strudelcreme 🍨🥧🎀
I hope you’ll enjoy the story
In Dordogne, the Basterds had settled in an abandoned house to await orders for their next mission.
But for now, they were all enjoying the beautiful spring days and relaxing.
Sitting on a stump, Aldo watched his team relax: Donny, Utivich, Zimmermann and Omar played cards while Sakowitz read a book in his corner. Hirschberg napped under an apple tree, Kagan smoked his cigarette while drawing in his notebook, and Hicox read the newspaper. As for Hugo and Wicki, they were chatting in their native language.
But someone was missing. Fortunately, she arrived!
"Here I am!"
Aldo turned his head and smiled as he saw (Y/N) (L/N), the only woman in the group, arrive. This young 21-year-old woman was recruited for her spying and code-breaking skills.
If to the Allied secret service she was Agent (L/N), to her fellow soldiers she was (Y/N), their "little fairy."
They all fell in love with her pretty face and her adorable smile. And of course, all the Basterds loved to play the role of her servant knight.
Even Hugo, the most taciturn of the group, would smile in her presence!
But the one who had the biggest crush on the young woman was none other than Lieutenant Raine. Ever since (Y/N) joined their group, the former bootlegger had fallen under the spell of the young spy.
His men had noticed this and loved to tease him about it, especially Donny.
And they knew that (Y/N) was not insensitive to Aldo's charm. According to Utivich, they would make a charming couple if the Lieutenant could find the courage to admit his feelings.
In the meantime, Lieutenant Raine was making a pretence of courting the young woman, and that was fine.
Aldo smiled as the young woman greeted the other Basterds, even surprising Hicox with a kiss on the cheek.
She walked over to Raine and said:
"Here I am again, Lieutenant!"
"Please, (Y/N): I already told ya that ya could call me Aldo. When ya say Lieutenant, I feel like an old jackass!"
"But because ya're old!" shouted Donny, causing his comrades to howl with laughter.
"Shut up, Donowitz!" snapped Raine.
Fortunately for Donny, (Y/N) came to his defence.
"Don't take it the wrong way, Aldo: he was only joking!"
Aldo would have railed against his sergeant, but the pleading look in her eyes made him give in.
He grumbled:
"Well, that'll do for this time, Donowitz. But if ya do it again, ya'll be on night duty for the whole damn week! Do I make myself clear?"
The other Basterds just snickered: all it takes is for (Y/N) to make eyes at the obstinate Aldo Raine to give in.
A little later, the Basterds were eating their provisions around a campfire, chatting happily. While eating a piece of bread, Aldo did not take his eyes off (Y/N). He smiled fondly at the young woman joking with Omar and Hirschberg.
He would never admit it to his men, but he was in love with (Y/N) (L/N). Only, did she feel the same way about him, or did she only appreciate him as a friend?
There was only one way to find out...
The next day.
"Are you sure this is necessary, Lieutenant? I mean, this meeting with French Resistance is a bit suspicious, no?"
"Since I'm telling you, Wicki. Anyway, the Krauts never come around here. Besides, who would suspect a pair in love to be members of the Resistance?"
"Why don't you just say that this mission story is just an excuse to have a date with Miss (Y/N)?" asked Hicox mockingly.
"Shut up, you rosbeef!" snarled Raine.
"He's not entirely wrong, Lieutenant. You'll have to admit that this story is very timely!"
"Stay out of it, Kagan!"
The voice of (Y/N) interrupted this bickering:
"I'm ready!"
As she walked out of the house, all eyes turned to the young woman. She was dressed in a flowery dress and wearing a white hat.
"Damn, girl! You look like an angel!" exclaimed Zimmermann.
"He's right: you are beautiful!" grinned Sakowitz.
"A real beauty queen!" smiled Hugo.
"My dear, you look stunning!" added Archie.
The young woman blushed with pleasure at so many compliments and thanked her companions before turning to Aldo:
"And you, Lieutenant: what do you think?"
"Waddaya want me to say? It's all been said before, doll!"
(Y/N) burst out laughing.
"Are you always this charming with the women you meet?"
The Lieutenant replied with a smirk:
"Nah, only for ya, (Y/N)!"
"If you say so... Well, I think it's time to go. Shall we go?"
"Sure! Well, guys, I'm counting on ya to watch the house! Got it?"
"YES, SIR!" replied the Basterds.
Satisfied, Aldo left for the city with (Y/N) on his arm.
Once their leader had left, Donny asked:
"Well, guys: I don't know about ya, but to me, this dating thing sounds like an excuse to have a quiet date with (Y/N)!"
"I would have been surprised if it wasn't. If you want my opinion, he is going to use this opportunity to confess everything to her!" remarked Wicki.
"What if we were to spy on them? That would be fun!" suggested Hirschberg.
"Why not? It will be a good occupation!" smiled Hicox.
"Let's go, then!" exclaimed Utivich.
They all rushed to the small town where the meeting with the French resistance fighters was supposed to take place. They managed to see Aldo and (Y/N) sitting on the terrace of a small café.
They hid near a bush, right next to Aldo and (Y/N)'s table.
"Well, what would ya like to drink, princess?"
"Well, I'll have a grenadine. I know, it's not very original..."
"Don't worry about it. Don't feel obliged to order something ya don't like when you're with me! As for me, a good scotch won't hurt me!"
"I didn't know he was so gallant!" murmured Utivich.
"I think we're in for a surprise," replied Donny.
Aldo and (Y/N) sipped their drinks in silence before the young woman asked:
"Do you know how long it will be before we meet the French resistance fighters?"
At these words, the lieutenant became a little embarrassed:
"How can I explain this to ya? Well, let's say they won't come now... Nah, I'll be honest: that rendezvous thing was a fake!"
"What?" exclaimed the young spy, surprised.
"It's true: there is no meeting scheduled with the French Resistance."
"But then, why are we here?"
Aldo massaged the back of his neck, blushing a little.
"Well, how shall I put it? I wanted to find an excuse to spend time with ya... away from the others!"
"I knew it!" chuckled Hicox.
For her part, (Y/N) was surprised.
"You want to spend time with me? But why?"
"Because I want to get to know ya better, (Y/N). Ya've been on my team for a year and a half, and everyone else loves ya. But I don't know what ya like, if ya have a family, what your dreams are, and what ya want to do after the war is over!"
He sighed.
"Besides, I can see that you're more comfortable with the guys. When ya talk to me, I feel like you're distancing yourself! Do I scare ya?"
"No, not at all! It's just that you're my superior! So I have to show you some respect!" the young woman answered shyly.
"That's what bothers me, (Y/N): I don't want to be just yer superior anymore. I would like to be someone ya can trust..."
"But I've always trusted you!"
"I know, I know. But I wanted to say that I would like ya to see me as a friend..."
"Yeah! I say he'd like to be more than a friend!" sneered Hirschberg.
"Hush! I'd like to hear the rest of the conversation!" Sakowitz lectured him as he listened carefully.
Meanwhile, (Y/N) and Aldo continued to talk.
"I must admit I'm a bit surprised, Lieutenant..."
"Please, (Y/N): don't call me that anymore. I wish ya would call me by my first name!"
"All right, Aldo. I was saying that I don't understand why we came here: if not to meet resistance fighters, then what are we doing here?"
A little embarrassed, Aldo replied:
"If I chose to come here with ya, it's because I'd like to be able to tell ya some things without the others being there!"
"If only he knew..." quipped Hugo.
"And what do you want to tell me?" asked (Y/N), a little stressed.
"Where to start? First of all, we're all happy to have ya on the team. Your presence alone is enough to cheer us up, and that's great. Secondly... Well, it's not easy to say, but when you're around me, I feel different."
"What do you mean?"
"Whenever ya talk to me or stand next to me, I feel like I have butterflies in my gut. It's a strange feeling, but not unpleasant. And I haven't felt that way in years!"
The young woman smiles shyly.
"You sound like you're in love with me!"
Seeing Aldo's shifty look, (Y/N) understood.
"Wait... Is that so?"
He nodded.
"It's true, I admit it!"
At these words, the other Basterds were overexcited!
"Oh my gosh! He did it!"
"We noticed it, Donny!"
As for (Y/N), she was speechless: so Aldo Raine was in love with her! On the one hand, she was happy to know that the man she secretly loved felt the same way about her. But on the other hand, she was afraid of how the others would react: would they be happy to know that the only woman in the group was the girlfriend of their leader?
These two contradictory feelings were tugging at her mind, and she didn't know what to do.
On the other hand, Aldo was nervous: this silence from (Y/N) stressed him. Did she love him too? Or was he mistaken?
Suddenly he heard the young woman whisper:
"Can we talk about this somewhere else? I wouldn't want the other customers to hear us."
"Okay, let's go!"
The couple left the restaurant and headed for a small park, followed by the other Basterds.
After a few minutes of walking, Aldo and (Y/N) sat down in a shady corner, out of sight. The other Basterds hid behind some bushes and listened to the rest of the conversation.
There was a silence before (Y/N) asked:
"How long have you loved me?"
"Probably since day one. In any case, it does not just talk: I love ya, (Y/N). And I want to be able to survive this fucking war to stay with ya until I've got more air in my lungs! I want ya to be a part of my life if ya'll let me!"
"Well, what a romantic!" laughed Hugo, making his comrades laugh.
For his part, Aldo asked:
"And what do you think of me? Ya can be honest: if ya don't like me, I won't blame ya!"
Biting her lip, (Y/N) muttered:
"To tell the truth... I love you too, Aldo. But I don't know if it's a good thing to be together!"
"Why is that?"
"Well, for one thing, neither you nor I know if we'll make it out of this war alive. Secondly, I'm afraid that if we ever got together, the others might take it badly!"
"The others? Wait, is she talking about us?" asked Omar, surprised.
"Looks like it..." muttered Wicki.
Aldo was intrigued by this answer.
"And why would my guys take it the wrong way?"
"I wasn't thinking of your men in particular, but the other soldiers. But if you want to know, well, they might think I'm getting special treatment. And if anything happened to you, I know they would blame me for it. I couldn't live with the pain of losing you and the weight of my shame!"
Seeing the distress in the young spy's eyes, the American understood how afraid she was of losing everything.
Gently, Aldo put his hand on (Y/N)'s and said:
"Ya know, doll, I'm telling ya all this because I know we'll get out of this war alive. So don't worry about what other people think!"
He smiled:
"Besides, I'm glad to see that ya like me!"
"You are incorrigible!"
"That's what makes me so charming!"
Behind their hiding place, the Basterds were waiting for the outcome!
"Normally, this is when they kiss!" remarked Andy.
"The suspense is at its height, gentlemen!" whispered Hicox.
Aldo and (Y/N) seemed ready to take the plunge.
"I'mma going to speak seriously, (Y/N): it makes me happy to know that ya love me."
"And I'm happy to see that you like me!"
"I don't just only like ya if that makes ya feel better. I truly love ya!"
Leaning towards her, he asked:
"Can I kiss ya?"
"I've been waiting for this..." smiled (Y/N).
Pleased with the answer, Aldo closed the distance between their lips and kissed the young woman fiercely, who responded to the kiss with the same passion.
This moment was extraordinary... until they heard an enthusiastic voice!
"YEEHA! FINALLY!"
"Hirschberg, shut up!" roared the other Basterds.
Recognising the voice of his subordinate, Aldo leapt to his feet and stomped towards the bushes behind him.
He pushed aside the branches and found that his men had followed him.
Annoyed, he ordered sharply:
"Get outta there, right now!"
And under (Y/N)'s surprised eyes, all the Basterds came out of their hiding place.
"Are you all here?"
"Yeah, we didn't want to miss this!" joked Omar before freaking out at his lieutenant's glare.
The latter asked, trying not to get upset:
"May I ask what you're doing here instead of watching the camp?"
They all looked at each other embarrassed before Donny spoke up:
"Well, we all suspected that the whole dating thing was an excuse to have a date with (Y/N). Of course, we wanted to see how you would do..."
He started to giggle.
"And to say the least, you're very cheesy when you want to be!"
"Me, cheesy? Cut the crap, Donowitz!"
"Ooh, come on! Admit it, you're a real softie!" laughed Michael.
The laughter of her companions made (Y/N) want to laugh too, but she tried to calm it down:
"It's not very nice to make fun of your lieutenant, gentlemen. Especially at a time like this!"
"We'll say it's fair game, considering the times he loves to mess with us!" smiled Wicki mischievously.
"Anyway, if it makes you feel better (Y/N): we all accept your love affair with Lieutenant Raine. And if anyone finds anything wrong with it, let him come and tell us to our faces!" declared Utivich.
"Private Utivich is right, my dear: we will defend your honour, don't worry!" added Hicox.
"And if you can calm the lieutenant down, we won't say no!" laughed Hugo.
"Don't start now, Stiglitz! Well, now that ya all know about me and (Y/N), I can say my date is over! C’mon, everybody back to camp, and hurry!"
"Aye, aye, Sergeant Love!" sneered the Basterds.
"Silence!" grumbled Aldo.
On the way back, as the Basterds chatted happily, Aldo and (Y/N) walked behind them, their hands tightly bound.
Suddenly the American leaned over to the young woman and whispered:
"I almost forgot something!"
"What was it?"
"Well, since we're in France, I had to say it the right way: Je t’aime à la folie, (Y/N) (L/N)!"
Amused by this answer, (Y/N) turned to her lover and replied:
"In that case: Je t’aime aussi, Aldo Raine!"
As they headed into uncertain days, Aldo and (Y/N) were sure that, no matter what happened, they would be able to overcome anything as long as they were together...
Thanks for the reading!
I do hope you really enjoyed the story!
Can’t wait to read your reviews!
Take care! 😘😍🥰🌹

The Phantom Of The Opera AU
requested by this anon: “Okay so I know you’re a musical kid so you have probably listened to/heard of Phantom of the Opera. Picture this: Dream as the Phamtom x Fem!reader as Christine x Sapnap as Raul”
Dream x Fem!reader and Sapnap x fem!reader (with dream as the phantom and sapnap as Raul)
trigger warnings: death, dream being a low key creeper, maybe some swears, my general lack of knowledge of this musical
premise: Phantom AU, not neccicarily the full story, its mainly what I’ve seen/read/listened to that I think is important, and like eight of the songs. Ummm, I feel like the summary above is enough for you to get the general idea.
(y/l/n)- your last name
“blep” regular talking
“Belp” singing
When things are in counterpoint, regular text will be (y/n), (text in parenthesis is sapnap), and {bracketed text is Dream}
if you, like me are unfamilliar with the story, this is the summary that arrived in my inbox last night (thank you so much to the person who sent that by the way, it really helped)
“So basically phantom of the opera is a love triangle between 3 people, the Phantom (P) x Christine (C) x Raul (R). C and R were childhood friends until R had to move away. C grew up in the Opera house with her dad (deceased) as a music writer. C grows up getting “private” singing lessons from P ( he is literally talking to her through a vent ((Among Us omg)) or something idk). Fast forward into the future to present day. C is a ballerina at the opera and one day, the phantom makes the set malfunction so that the lead female opera singer (she’s a jerk. Forgot her name) can’t preform and C has to preform as the lead instead. Coincidentally, the night Christine sings as the lead is the day R comes to see her show and R is like “ooWooga she be fine now ig”. R and C catch up after the show and R goes away for a minute and then P is like “aight C imma kidnap you for a sec with no purpose whatsoever to the plot except for a cool song” and then C returns to her normal life ig. P them sends stuff to the people in charge of the Opera saying “ayo C be pretty fine, let her be the lead again” the people in charge of the opera were like “nah fam, let’s have the person who was supposed to be the lead be the lead”. Upset by this, during the show, P broke the chandelier and it fell into the audience. C is like “I love you uwu” R is like”let’s get engaged” C is like “let’s keep it a secret so the crazy P guy doesn’t find out” and little did they know during that conversation P was hiding and overheard everything and is now sad boi hours. A masquerade happens and P shows up like “ayo I heard you trynna steal my boo” and R is like “nah she my boo” and they duel or whatever. Idk how it transitions to this but the Opera runs another show and they make C the lead to not upset P. However, during a love song (Past the point of no return, it literally slaps), C realizes that the person singing isn’t the original actor, it is P! And then P straight up kidnaps C after the song, takes her to his lair and is like “boo you gotta marry me or I destroy the opera house with everyone inside it” C is like “fine ig” P takes off his mask and reveals he is hiding burn marks and he kisses C and C kisses back. P is like” my mom never even kissed me” and P let’s C go, telling her to go marry R... or you can just watch this video lmao https://youtu.be/4a5nahw3zi8″
On that note, here we go:
{that only goes for the final scene where its all three, it varies otherwise}
{Things I have learned while preparing this story, 1. the actual phantoms name is Erik, like what a nerd, 2. he’s also not actually a ghost??? He’s literally just some creeper who lives in an opera house screwing with people; also yes Eret is the strict lady who yells at everyone and talks to the phantom, deal with it}
{pls send me more musical au asks I really liked doing this, even if it took me a while}
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ravenous applause of the audience seemed to echo in your ears, even after you had left the stage.
You’re debut as the female lead in Hannibal had been a smashing success, and as the rest of the chorus girls backstage were saying, it was all thanks to the Phantom scaring Hannah off.
Niki practically ran up to you from the rehearsal room, “(y/n) that was incredible!”
You grinned, “Oh I feel like I’m floating Niki! Thank you for volunteering me for the role.”
“Don’t thank me, Thank whoever's giving you those lessons,” She bumped her hip against yours, grinning cheekily, “And if what the girls are saying is true you’ll have to thank him for getting Hannah out of here.”
You chuckled, but before you could say anything else Madame Eret was approaching, knocking the end of their cane of the ground, “Miss Nihachu, you are a dancer are you not?”
Niki nodded.
“Then get back to rehearsal,” he waited until Niki hurried off to turn to you, “He is most pleased with your performance, here.”
You took the note from him, reading over it quietly, “Red scarf..... the attic.... little lotte?”
She simply shrugged, leaving you to turn and head up your dressing room.
As you changed out of your costume from the show you couldn’t help but hum the song that had earned the most applause, “Think of me, think of me of me fondly, when we’ve said goodbye.”
Reaching around you found your dressing gown, pulling it on and tying up the front, “Remember me, once and a while. Please, promise you’ll try...”
Your words faded off as your sat down at your vanity, beginning to brush out your hair.
“Where is your red scarf Miss (y/l/n)? I hope you haven’t lost it. Not after all the trouble I went through to retrieve it for you.”
You turned to see a tall dark hair man standing in the doorway, a grin spreading across your face as he continued, “I was only 14 and soaked to the bone...”
“Because you ran into the sea to fetch my red scarf!” You exclaimed, jumping up and flinging your arms around him excietedly, “Sapnap! How I’ve missed you!”
He chuckled, pulling away, and offering you a single red rose, “(y/n)... Little Lotte let her mind wander...”
“You remember that too?” You asked with a giggle.
Sapnap smiled and kept singing, “Little Lotte thought: am I fonder of dolls,”
“Or of goblins or shoes?” You joined in, “Or of riddles of frocks, or chocolates.”
“Those picnics n the attic...” He reminisced.
You closed your eyes, remembering those long ago days, “Father playing the violin.”
“As we read each other those dark stories of the north.”
“No what I like best, little Lotte said, is when I’m asleep in my bed,” You sang, “And the angel of music sings songs in my head!”
“The angel of music sings songs in my head.” He repeated softly.
You smiled at him, an excited fond feeling forming in your stomach as you sank back into your chair, “Father said, when I am in heaven child I will send the angel of music to you. Well now father is dead, Sapnap. And I have been visited by the angel of music.”
“Well that is very evident,” He chuckled, taking your hands, “Your performance was wonderful. And now, we shall go to supper.”
“Oh- sapnap I can’t, the angle of music is very strict.”
He didn’t seem to understand the urgency in your voice as he laughed again, “Well I shant keep you up late.”
“No- Sapnap, things have changed-”
“You have to change,” He interrupted, “And I have to grab my hat. Two minutes little lotte.”
As he went out the door you cried after him, “Sapnap! Thing have changed Sapnap!”
But he was out of earshot, and the voice that had become so familiar to you was booming, “Insolate boy! This Slave of fashion basking in your glory! Ignorant fool! This brave young suitor, sharing my triumph!”
“Angel I hear you! Speak, I listen! Stay by my side and gude me!” You begged up to the ceiling, “Angel my soul was weak! Forgive me! Enter at last master!”
“Flattering child, you shall know me, see why in the shadow I hide, look at your face in the mirror, I am their inside!”
The voice sounded closer now, and you couldn’t help but look around, “Angel of music! Hide no longer!”
You turned again, finding yourself face to face with what seemed like a mask, floating in your mirror, “Come to me, strange angel!”
“I am your angel! Come to me angel of music!”
A shadowy figure seemed to appear behind the smiling mask, a hand outstretched to you. In a daze you stood, grabbing his hand and allowing him to lead you away down a dark pathway.
“Who’s voice is that?” Sapnap asked, knocking on the now closed door, “(y/n) who’s in there?”
“Come with me angel of music!” Dream, the Phantoms voice echoed again.
“(y/n)!”
~~
“In sleep he came to me, the voice which calls to me and speaks my name!” You moved quietly through the passages, following Dream, “And Do I dream again? for now I find, the phantom of the opera is there, inside my mind!”
“Sing once again with me our strange duet! My power over you grows stronger yet! And though you turn from me to look behind, the phantom of the opera is there! Inside your mind!” He sang, turning back to make sure you were following once more.
The walls of the tunnel seemed to widen, and you could almost make out an empty candle lit space.
You reached out, fingers almost brushing the edge of his cloak, “Those who have seen your face draw back in fear! I am the mask you wear..”
“It’s me they hear...”
As you emerged into a cross roads of the tunnels, you sang in tandem, “Your (my) spirit and your (my) voice in one combined, the phantom of the opera is there, inside your (my) mind!”
He helped you into the boat that waited in one tunnel, before casting off, propelling the boat down the slow moving current, “In all your fantasies, you always knew the man and mystery...”
“Were both in you....” You sang softly as the boat came to dock in a wide chamber.
Slowly you climbed out of the boat after him, looking around the dank space, and at the organ in the corner.
Dream pulled off his cloak, “And in this labyrinth where the night is blind..”
“The Phantom of the opera is there! Inside my mind......”
~~
As the people downstairs argued, you tried to think over what had happened. Was it a dream? It didn’t seem like it, but still, a man appearing in her looking glass? Taking her away and singing words of praise, words of love, words that made nearly no sense now that it was day, and a haze covered your memory.
The one thing that remained clear was the monster she had found beyond the mask.
All too soon it seemed you were being rushed into rehearsals, being told you no longer had a speaking role, as Hannah had returned, and was back to her diva ways.
Rehearsals that would normally drag on seemed to go quicker now, and soon you and the rest of the girls were getting ready for the performance.
“This is ridiculous,” Niki muttered as she adjusted her costume, “You should be playing the duchess, not Hannab.”
“Hannah is the featured soprano. She’s always the lead.” You retorted.
“But how will Sapnap know to look for you in the chorus?” Niki teased.
You elbowed her, laughing lightly, “Shut up. Besides I doubt the phantom would let him see me again.”
The show had gone well, at least until the fifth scene.
All the music stopped abruptly as a voice boomed, “Did I not instruct that box five was to be left empty?”
“He’s here: The Phantom Of The Opera!” Niki cried from offstage.
Your head jerked up to turn and look at the audience, “It’s Dream!”
“Your part is silent, you toad!” Hannah snapped.
From somewhere up in the audience Dream frowned, “A toad Madame? Perhaps it is you who is the toad...”
Hanna opened her mouth to continue on her script, but no sound seemed to come out, save for what was close the a croak.
The men who had bought the opera house, Wilbur and Tommy were coming rushing down from their box, “Ladies and gentlemen we apologize! The performance will continue in ten minutes time, with Miss (y/l/n) as the duchess!”
Tommy nodded as Wilbur finished, “And for now, we will give you the ballet, from act three of tonight's show!”
The ballet didn’t last long, as when you returned to the wings dressed for the new role you had been given, someone let out a horrified scream.
“What the-”
You were cut off as you looked up to see Shlatt, the stagehand in charged of the curtains, hanging from the rigging, a noose fully tightened around his neck.
“Ladies and gentlemen remain calm! It was just an accident- remain calm!” Someone shouted.
Through the darkness you could make out Dream’s menacing figure, the smiling mask watching you threateningly as you clamped your hand over your mouth to stop the scream that had ripped at your throat.
“(y/n)? (y/n) are you alright?” Sapnap had run down onto the stage in all the chaos.
“We- we have to get out of here,” You choked, grabbing his hand, “We aren’t safe here.”
He didn’t seem to understand the reason behind your panic, but even so he offer you his arm, “Lets leave then.”
~~
Twenty minutes later you ended up in an empty park, the panic that filled your chest not yet fading as Sapnap asked, “Why have you brought me here?”
“We can’t go back there!” You exclaimed.
“But we must return.” He gripped your hands, “Darling their bound to be missing you.”
You shook your head, “Sapnap- He’ll kill you! His eyes will find us there!”
“(y/n), don’t say that! It’s okay (y/n), it’s okay!”
You looked up into the darkened sky, “No it’s not- no it’s not- Those eyes that burn!”
“Don’t even think it!” He cried desperately.
You couldn’t tell whether you were trembling from fear, or from the cold, as you sang, “And if he has to kill a thousand men....”
“Forget this waking nightmare!” Sapnap insisted.
“....The phantom of the opera will kill.” You sang distractedly.
He gripped your shoulders, “This phantom is a fable, (y/n), believe me!”
“And kill again....” You shuddered at the idea of Dream doing anything to Sapnap.
Both of you sang, “God who is this man, who hunts to kill? (this mask of death?)
“I can’t escape him!” You cried.
He shook his head, “Whose voice is it you hear...”
“...I never will!”
“With every breath?”
His grip on your shoulders tightened, pulling you closer to him as you both sang, “And in this labyrinth where light is blind, the phantom of the opera is there, inside my (your) mind!”
“There is no Phantom of the Opera!”
“Sapnap- I’ve been there, inside his world of never ending light! To a world where daylight dissolves into darkness, darkness! Sapnap I’ve seen him!” You cried. “Can I ever forget that sight? Can I ever escape that face? So distorted, disformed it was hardly a face! in the darkness, darkness. But his voice filled my spirit with a strange, sweet sound in that night there was music in my mind And through music my soul began to soar! And I heard as I'd never heard before!”
“What you had was a dream and nothing more!”
You could hardly look up at him, “yet in his eyes was all the sadness in the world! Those pleading eyes that both threaten and adore!”
“(y/n), (y/n)!” Sapnap exclaimed.
“.....(y/n)......” A different voice seemed to cry into the night.
You gasped, pressing yourself against Sapnap, “What was that?”
He hugged you tightly, before pulling back and singing gently, “No more talk of darkness, forget these wide eyed fears. I’m here, and nothing can harm you, my words will warm and calm you.”
You relaxed into his grip, listening to his quiet voice, “Let me be your freedom, let daylight dry your tears, I’m here, with you, beside you, to guard you and to guide you.”
“Say you love me, every waking moment. Turn my head and talk of summer time,” You looked up at him, biting your lip, “Say you need me now and always, promise me that all you say is true, that's all I ask of you.”
“Let me be your shelter, let me be your light, you are safe, no one will find you. Your fears are far behind you.” He assured you, smiling softly.
“All I want is freedom, a world with no more night. And you to always be beside me, to hold me and to hide me.” You admitted.
Sapnap’s smile grew wider, “Then say you’ll share with me, one love, one life time. Let me lead you from your solitude. Say you need me here, beside you. Anywhere you go let me go too, (y/n), that's all I ask of you.”
“Say you’ll share with me, one love, one life time,” You repeated, “Say the word, and I’ll follow you.”
“Share each day with me, each night, each morning.” You sang together as he leaned down to rest his forehead on yours.
“Say you love me?”
He smiled, whispering, “You know I do.”
“Love me- that's all I ask of you.” You both sang, before he leaned in to gently press a kiss to your lips, “Any where you go, let me go too. Love me- thats all I ask of you.”
Sapnap kissed you again, before pulling away, “We could go anywhere- we could be married! You would marry me, yes?”
“Oh, yes, Sapnap, yes I would. If you’d have me.” You nodded, eagerly.
He grinned, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
You couldn’t help but giggle, before turning back toward the direction of the opera house, “I must go back, they’ll wonder where I am. Wait for me Sapnap!”
“(y/n), I love you!” He exclaimed.
“Wait for me, Sapnap. Order your finest horses and being waiting by the door.” You could go back, and continue working at the opera house, there was nothing left for you to fear while Sapnap was there.
“And soon you’ll be beside me!” He chuckled.
You grinned, “To guard me and too guide me!”
Sapnap offered you his arm again, and you headed off out of the park, toward the opera house.
Slowly, Dream slinked from the shadows where he had watched the proposal, “I gave you my music, made your song take wing. And now your repaid me, denied and betrayed me.”
He groaned running a hand through his hair, “He was bound to love you, when he heard you sing. (y/n)- oh (y/n)-”
He was cut off by the sounds of your voices drifting down the street, Say you’ll share with me, one love, one life time, Say the word, and I’ll follow you. Share each day with me, each night, each morning.”
Dream’s hands flew to his ears, desperate to block out the sounds- he had been so sure that you could’ve loved him, but now Sapnap was stealing you away.
“You will curse the day you did not do, all that the phantom asked of you!” He bellowed.
~~
The following weeks at the opera house were a blur of panic masked by busyness, Wilbur and Tommy refusing to let the disaster of the chandelier falling from keeping the company from working on their next performance.
You kept on working, the ring on the chain Sapnap had given you around your neck helping you to feel safe, even as the chorus girls cited the Phantom for the cause of all the distress.
Now you were back in your dressing room, getting ready for dinner with Sapnap.
“Wander child, so lost, so helpless,” A soft voice seemed to drift down from no where, “Yearning for my guidance.”
You looked up at the ceiling, “angel or father? Friend or phantom? Who is it their staring?”
“Have you forgotten your angel?” The voice murmured, Dream appearing once again in your mirror.
You turned to him, almost in a trance, “angel, oh, speak, what endless longings, echo in this whisper.”
Sapnap, having arrived to the opera house appeared in the door, watched as you moved toward the phantom.
“Too long you’ve wandered the winter...” Dream continued to sing, hand outstretched to you.
“Once again she is his.” Sapnap sang, as you started to cross the room toward the mirror where the phantom stood.
“...far from my far reaching eyes.”
“Wildly my mind beats against you....” You sang, transfixed.
Behind the mask Dream grinned, “You resist. Yet your soul obeys.”
“Once again she returns, to the arms of her angel. Angel or demon? Still he calls her, luring her back from the grave. Angel or dark seducer? Who are you strange angel?” Sapnap sang, again, more to himself than you or Dream.
Dream beckoned you forward again, “I am your angel of music, come to me angel of music!”
“Angel of darkness, cease this torment!” Sapnap exclaimed, moving into the room properly and drawing attention to himself.
Dream unbothered, continued to sing, “I am your angle of music! Come to me angel of music!”
“(y/n), (y/n) listen to me! Whatever you may believe- this thing, this man is not your father!” Sapnap yelled, “(y/n)! Let her go! For gods sake let her go!”
Jarred by his sudden yell, you turned, the trance broken, “Sapnap...”
Dream, unimpressed, began to clap, deadpanning, “Bravo monsieur. Such spirited words.”
“No more tricks monsieur!” Sapnap yelled, stepping forward to put himself between you and Dream.
“Oh, but that's not any fun. Why don’t you come closer, sir? Keep coming this way.”
Sapnap, not liking to be challenged, stepped forward, “You cannot win her love by holding her prisoner!”
“No- Sapnap don’t!” You grabbed his hand, pulling him back.
He nodded resolutely, gripping your hand as you both moved toward the door, “Lets go then, no more time will be spent with this monster.”
“Don’t go!” Dream wailed as you hurried away down the hall, “Now let it be war upon you both!”
~~
Something was going wrong, of course it was, because when was it not?
Your entrance in Don Juan Triumphant had gone according to plan, but the man who had stepped out as Don Juan was not George, as it should have been.
You steeled yourself, trying to come up with a logical reason.
George must have gotten sick, and a stand in had taken his place, yes that must be it.
“Past the point of no return, no backward glances, the games we played till now, are at an end.” The man sang, “Past all thought of ‘if’ or ‘when’, no use resisting, abandon that thought and let the dream descend.”
Your panic seemed to rise, the double meaning in his words filling you with dread.
“What raging fire shall flood the soul? What rich desire locks the door? What sweet seduction lies before is? Past the point of no return, the final thread hold. What unspoken secrets will we learn? Beyond the point of no return.”
You moved carefully to your next mark, trying to work out who it was in George’s place, “You have brought me, to the moment when words run dry, to the moment when speech disappears into silence, silence.
I have come here, hardly knowing the reason why, in my mind I already imagined, our bodies entwined. Defenseless and silent, now I am here with you, no second thoughts, I’ve decided, decided.”
You just barley stopped from trembling as you realized, it was Dream, “Past the point of no return, no going back now. Our passion play has now, at last, begun. Past all thought of right and wrong. One final question: how long should we two wait, before we’re one?”
“When will the blood being to race? When will the sleeping bud burst into bloom? When will the flames at last consume us?” You finished, taking an only slightly shaky breath.
The phantom grabbed your hand as you both sang, “Past the point of no return, the final threshold. The bridge is crossed so stand and watch it burn, we’ve past the point of no return!”
Everyone in the audience seemed to hold their breath, they too knew that this was not George. The cloak that had hidden Dreams mask fell, and they gasped upon seeing the plaster smiling face.
He grinned behind the mask, and punctuated, “Say you’ll share with me, one love, one lifetimes lead me, save me from my solitude.”
The words stung even before he pulled out a ring, holding it out to you, “come with me, or this whole place will come down upon us.”
Slowly you looked to the audience, Sapnap was standing in the isle, looking worried.
You couldn’t let him get hurt.
You nodded reluctantly, as he continued, “say you want me by your side anywhere you go let me go too, (y/n) that’s all I ask of-“
Slowly, you reached up, pulling the mask off his face, revealing the terribly scared face to the world.
The gasps turned into horrible screams as a curtain was raised, and Georges body tumbled onto the stage.
Almost immediately Dream flung his cloak around you, disappearing.
Sapnap ran up onto the stage, along with the crew, police officers and other patrons.
“Sapnap! Sapnap you’ve got to come with me!” Eret cried, rushing out onto the stage.
“What the hell is going on?”
“Sapnap!” They yelled again, “I know where they are!”
“But can I trust you?” He demanded.
She nodded, “yes, and remember, keep your hand up at eye level.”
“Why?”
“Punjab lasso.” Was all he offered in explication as he led Sapnap away.
~~
Soon enough Sapnap was creeping through the shadows of the phantoms layer, watching as he tried to place a wedding veil on your head, “Too bad pity comes to late, turn around and face your fate, an entirety of this before your eyes!”
You turn to face him, looking up at the mess of scares that cover his face, “this haunted face holds no horror for me now, it is in your soul that the true distortion lies.”
The phantom turned suddenly, to Sapnaps hiding place, “Wait! I think, my dear, we have a guest! Sir, this is indeed an unparalleled delight! I had rather hoped that you would come And now my wish comes true— you have truly made my night!”
“Free her!” Sapnap yelled, stepping into the light, “do what you want to me but let her go!”
“Your lover makes a passionate plea.” Dream laughed at you.
“Sapnap it’s useless!” You cried.
Sapnap shook his head, “I love her! Does that mean anything To you? I love her! Show some compassion!”
“The world showed no compassion to me!” Dream retorted.
He reached out toward you, “(y/n), (y/n), please let me see her!”
Dream grinned maliciously, “be my guest.”
Sapnap rushed forwards, as Dream contiued to taunt, “Monsuier, i bid you welcome, did you think that I would hurt her? Why should I make her pay, for the sins which are yours?”
As he finished the last words the Punjab lasso came sailing out, and Sapnap barley had time to fling his arm back up as he was dragged back, the only thing keeping him from hanging being the fingers he’d wrangled between the rope and his neck.
“No!” You cried, struggling to your feet.
“Order your fine horses now!” Dream yelled, “Nothing now can save you, except maybe... (y/n).”
You stood, shaking as he turned to you, “Start a new life with me- buy his freedom with your love! Refuse me now and send your lover to his death! This is the choice, this is the point of no return!”
“(y/n), forgive me, please forgive me, I did it all for you, and all for nothing.” Sapnap sang, looking at you desperately.
At the same time you turned toward Dream, “Farewell my fallen idol, and my false friend, one by one my delusions shattered.”
“Too late for turning back, too late for prayers and useless pity!” Dream sang.
“{all hope of cries for help, no point in fighting!} (say you love and my life is over, either way you choose, he has to win!) {for ether way you choose, you cannot win! So do you end your days with me or do you send him to his grave?}”
“Why make her lie to you, to save me?” Sapnap yelled.
You looked between them desperately, “Angel of music..... {past the point of no return!} (For pity’s sake (y/n) say no! Don’t throw your life away for my sake!) Who deserves this? When will you see reason? {The Final threshold! His life is now the prize you must earn! You’ve passed the point of no return....}”
You looked at Dream, no longer trying to hide the fear that coursed through your veins, “Angel of music, you have deceived me, I gave myself blindly to you.”
“You try my patience! Make your choice!” Dream yelled.
Looking back at sapnap for a moment you stepped forward, whatever it would take, you would keep him safe, “Pitiful creature of darkness, what kind of life have you known? God give me courage to show you, you are not alone.”
Reaching out, you took the mask from his hand, tossing it to the side as he moved closer to you as well.
Before you could hardly blink he was kissing you, and with little more than a second thought you kissed back.
Sapnap watched, in partials horror, until the phantom drew back, shaking as he whispered, “No one has ever kissed me- not even my own mother.”
You nodded, and then suddenly Dream began to move across the room, grabbing a knife from somewhere as he stalked up to Sapnap.
He paused for a beat, and you could feel the terror in the room- until he slashed at the rope, and Sapnap fell the ground.
You rushed over to him, kneeling beside him, “Sapnap! oh Sapnap!”
“Take her,” dream wailed, “Take her and forget me, forget all of this! Leave me alone- forget all you’ve seen....”
Sapnap struggled to his feet, holding you close to him as he backed towards the channel.
“Take the boat, leave me here, go now, please!”
The sounds of the mob looking for Georges murderer seemed to grow louder as they grew closer.
“Hurry! Now before its too late!” Dream yelled.
Sapnap hurriedly started to help you into the boat, but you pulled away, moving back to the Phantom, long enough to hand him the ring.
Then you were off, turning to Sapnap as the current carried the boat away, “I’m sorry Sapnap- I couldn’t let him hurt you- I couldn’t!”
“Shhh. It’s alright (y/n), it’s alright. He can’t hurt you anymore.” He murmured, pulling you into his arms.
“Say you’ll share with me, one love one lifetime.” You sang shakily.
Sapnap nodded, “Say the word and I’ll follow you.”
“Share each day with me, each night, each morning...” The sounds of your voices traveled back up the tunnel for Dream to hear.
He sighed, looking resolutly into the distance, “You alone can make my song take flight- It’s over now, the music of the night!”

War makes thieves, and peace hangs them (pt1)
Summary: When Santi needs people for a mission he knows just who to call. But it quickly becomes apparent they’re short one key role - a thief. Preferably one with nice breasts who makes friends easily.
Told from POV of Triple Frontier characters and while it’s an OFC she is never described. Her "name" is a radio handle.
Other chapters... My Masterlist
Word count: 2319. Read it on AO3.
Author’s note: Look, I’ve been itching to write something hella raunchy and while I love my other fics they’re full of soft people being dorks and falling love. This is not that. This is filthy smut basically from the go. The plot (what of it there is) exists solely to allow these people to have sex. Also, Fuck Tom. He’s in this fic for like 90 seconds before I summarily get rid of him.
Rating: R swearing. objectification. drugs (mentioned, not used). gendered slurs. no sex in this chapter.
"It’s a five man job," Santi was saying it for the third time that night but Benny just kept shaking his head at him. Across from Benny, Frankie pushes his ball cap off, tossing his arm over his chair and letting it dangle from two fingers.
"C’mon you guys," Frankie starts to say but is cut off.
"Maybe, but not this five," Will points out.
"You had no right to call in someone else without talking to me," Santi can feel the edge to his voice.
"Am I wrong?"
The question deflates the irritation out of Santi. No, he wasn’t. That was the shitty part. The more they found out about this job the more he realized they were going to need someone with a different skillset than the five of them. "Fine, who is he? How do you know him?"
"We ran into each other in South Africa. Ended up on the same job, different sides," Benny taps a finger against his beer bottle. "A few other, less than legal, follow-ups. They’re the best I know of Santi."
"Yeah," Santi picks his bottle up, draining the last of it. "But all things considered I’m not sure that means much."
Benny rolls his eyes. "Whatever man, they’ll be here tonight. I’ll introduce you and you can make your own decision. Fair?"
Santi nods once and watches as Benny gets up. "I’ll get the next round." The other men waggle their beers and Benny doesn’t even bother counting before heading off the empty outside patio and back into the bar.
It was a quiet night, at a quiet out of the way bar. From their vantage on the patio over the water they can see people as they arrive, but also are surrounded on three sides by water, minimizing eavesdroppers.
"I don’t like it," Tom grumbles and Santi turns to him.
"I feel like we’ve covered that," he points out.
"Some new guy we don’t know? Fuck Pope, this whole thing is already too dangerous," Tom continues.
"What do you want me to do," he hisses. "I’ve come too fucking far to back out-"
He pauses when he hears the door to the patio open, a waitress coming through with a tray of beers. He’d clocked her from the corner of his eye, about eight miles of the longest legs he’s ever seen in his life, bare from tiny denim shorts down to a pair of unlaced combat boots.
Those were odd. Not necessarily what he would have expected. He studies her a bit more closely as she sets the tray of beers down, squatting next to the table to transfer the tray from her shoulder to the table. Tom had already fallen face first into the girl’s cleavage - which was either ample or benefitting greatly from being on display in a bright orange halter top that started somewhere around her rib cage. She returned Tom’s lascivious stare with a wink, brushing her body against the man’s as she stood back up and passed one of the bottles to him.
Santi reached for one but was blocked by her body as she leaned across the table, sliding a bottle to Frankie who rubbed a hand over his mouth and tried in vain to make eye contact with something other than her breasts. Will was silent on receiving his, a half smile on his face as he watched her stretch a bottle to him. Finally she turns to Santi, placing the last beer in front of him and flipping the tray up under her arm.
"Tu amigo pagó," she smiles, gesturing with her chin inside. He glances that way and sees Benny nodding back from the bar, tucking bills into his wallet. "Tienes algo…" she starts to say and he turns back to see her pluck a bit of fuzz off the collar of his shirt. Smiling, she pinches it between her fingers and flicks it over his shoulder. "De nada."
"Gracias," he winks at her and she winks back before flouncing off the patio and back into the bar. Both Frankie and Tom turn around fully in their chairs to watch her - but Santi was perfectly positioned to watch the sway of her ass as she went back inside.
"Hot damn," Tom gives a low whistle.
Santi rolls his eyes, focusing on the beer in front of him. To his left, Frankie is fiddling with a coaster before he suddenly jerks and looks at his hand with suspicion.
"What the fuck?" Frankie snaps. "Where the fuck is my hat?"
"What?" Will asks.
"My hat. My fucking hat." Frankie holds up the coaster and glares at it, then at Santi. "Where is my fucking hat?"
"Did you set it-" Santi starts but Frankie cuts him off.
"I was holding it in my goddamn hand. And now I’m not." Frankie pushes himself back from the table, peering under it.
"What’s got Fish riled up?" Benny asks, sliding into a chair on the other side of the table.
"He’s throwing a fit about his hat," Will fills him in.
"Fuck you, I liked that hat," Frankie grouses, eyes still scanning the floor.
Ben laughs and Frankie shoots him a dirty look. "Ah, I see you’ve met our thief then," Benny says with a satisfied smirk.
"What?" Frankie jerks forward, the legs of his chair hitting the wood of the deck with a thunk.
Santi cocks his head, "You set up a little audition did you?" When Benny nods Santi grins. "The waitress?" Will nods again and gestures to someone inside. A minute later, the woman pulls up a chair next to Ben - wearing Frankie’s hat. He had to admit, she looked cute. He hadn’t gotten a good look at her face before, a little preoccupied with other parts of her, but she was quite stunning.
"You should give Frankie his hat back," Santi tells her in a low voice.
"Nah," Frankie quickly interjects, a little slack-jawed. "You can uh… you can keep it. For a bit." She grins at Frankie and judging from the look on his friend’s face, Santi had an idea of what mental image Frankie would be jerking off to later that night.
"Boys, this is Wildcat," Ben wraps an arm over the woman’s shoulders, "the best thief I’ve ever met. And ours for this mission."
"Neat trick with the hat," Tom says to her breasts.
"Not to burst your bubble Benny," she turns to him, "but I can’t take the job."
"What? Why not?"
She reaches into her top and while Santi would have sworn that you couldn’t fit so much as a tic-tac in there she manages to pull out a small baggie of off-white crystal powder. A flick of her wrist and it lands in the middle of the table. "I don’t deal with this kind of shit."
Santi reaches for it, getting there just before Tom who mutters 'bitch' under his breath. Holding it up for a moment he studies it before hiding it under his palm on the table. "Who’d you take it from?"
"Me," Tom sounds defeated.
"Yeah, like I said, I don’t deal with this kind of shit." She turns to Benny and shrugs, "Sorry babe, you’ll have to find someone else." She gets up, leaning over the table and placing the ball cap back on Frankie’s head and giving it a flirtatious tap. From his angle, Santi can see practically the same view as Frankie, as well as the line of her back and the curve of her ass as she leans over.
She kisses the top of Ben’s head when she stands up, giving Tom a wide berth and going around the table. Santi doesn’t watch her past that, eyes on Tom.
"What the fu-" but he’s interrupted by something shiny dropping onto the table.
"Sorry," her voice was right next to his ear, "forgot this."
It takes Santi a full five seconds to process what he’s seeing. One of his dog tags. He pulls his chain out of his shirt quickly, sees the primary one… and the loose shorter chain hanging empty.
"Son of a-" he turns but she’s at the door already, winking and blowing him a kiss before leaving.
"Pope let me-" Tom starts but Santi turns on him.
"Fucking meth, man? What’s wrong with you?"
"Hey, it’s just a bit to help me keep going," Tom raises his hands, "don’t fucking act like it’s the end of the fucking world."
"You’re out," Santi says it with finality.
"What?"
"Anyone have a problem with that?" Santi looks at the other three men but they all shake their heads.
"Fuck you," Tom spits, "fucking Fish has a coke problem and I don’t see any of you-"
"Hey," Frankie leans forward, pointing a finger at Tom, "you can go fuck yourself."
"Not if I-"
But Santi is on his feet, hands in Tom’s shirt as he walks the man backwards a few steps and shoves him against the low railing on the patio. "I love you man, but I can’t have this shit. It’s too important. Go back to the hotel."
Tom deflates. "It’s just to help man. Just to help."
"I know," he pats Tom on the shoulder. "I know. But you’re gonna have to sit this one out." Santi watches the other man leave. "Go get her back," he tells Ben.
Will swipes the baggie from the table, raising an eyebrow in question and Santi nods. Will quickly turns and tosses it into the lake beyond.
She slid into Tom’s chair without so much as a twitch of her eyebrow that the other man is gone. "Are we trying again?"
Santi sits down to her left. "First tell me how you got my dog tags."
"And my hat," Frankie asks.
"Quick fingers," she says, "two distractions."
"Two?" Frankie asks and she winks at him.
"One. Two." She shrugs each shoulder, making her breasts jiggle with the motion. Frankie blushes and reaches up to cover his face with one hand, pretending to scratch his beard.
"Seriously," Santi grabs her attention again, "how’d you do it?"
She shrugs again, "People don’t watch for the things they should be watching for. You guys… you’re perceptive. Situationally aware. You could probably tell me every weapon within sixty feet of this table." She smiles, "You’ve noticed my hand on your arm, and you’ve noticed my foot against your ankle." He had, was enjoying the feel of her fingers against his skin and her toes rubbing along his sock. "But where is my other hand?"
Santi startles, looking down. Her other hand comes into his line of sight and he sees she’s holding a watch.
"Wait that’s-" Will splutters.
"Son of a bitch," he mutters and hears Ben laugh. He turns on Will, "What were you watching?"
She answers for him, "He’s been watching my mouth." Will coughs but doesn’t deny it. She grins at them both before leaning back in her chair and crossing her arms, waggling her fingers. "Figure out where someone wants their attention to go and you can make them concentrate on anything."
Santi bites his lip before he looks over at Benny. "You trust her?" Ben nods. "Then she’ll do."
"Oh goodie," she snarks, "a dream come true. So what’s the job?"
Santi lowers his voice as he outlines the next few days. She asks good questions and the five of them roughly map out their plans. When they finish, Santi leans back in his chair. "So, we’ll meet in the hotel lobby tomorrow morning, 0600?" Everyone around him nods except for Ben who just curses.
"Fucking hell Pope, you know I hate mornings."
Will rolls his eyes, smacking his brother in the arm, "How the hell did you get through Airborne with an attitude like that?"
"By being a damned good Ranger," Ben grouses back.
"And cheating on the written shit," Frankie mumbles into his beer. Ben shoots him a glower but Frankie just smiles to himself, ignoring the other man.
"Well, if you boys are done," Cat breaks in, "I have a date." For just a split second Santi thought she was looking at him, but he follows her gaze over his shoulder and sees a petite brunette wearing a leather mini-skirt and white tank top crooking a finger their way. Cat winks back at her and rises gracefully from the table, palms flat against it. He couldn’t help but notice her long fingers.
When she gets to the other woman she wraps a hand behind her neck, pulling the brunette into a kiss. Even in heels, the woman was a good three inches shorter than her. The brunette breaks the kiss and leans into her, whispering into her ear. Santi sees her eyebrow go up, a half smile, and then she was looking back at their table and those beautiful legs were coming their way.
"Ben?"
"Yes Cat?" the man answers with a raised eyebrow.
"Can you vouch for your friends?"
Benny doesn’t hesitate before answering, "With my life."
"That’s good to hear," she grins. "Frankie?"
The man’s head whips around. "Yeah?"
"Would you like to come with us?"
Frankie blinks and Santi almost felt sorry for the man. Almost.
"Wha-?"
"Teresa would like for you to come along. And I’m not opposed. So…?"
Frankie’s moment of confusion passes in a heartbeat and then he is shoving his chair back and scrambling to his feet. "Fuck yes."
She laughs, leading him back to the brunette who is grinning. The brunette wraps one arm around Frankie’s waist and the other around Cat’s as they leave. The three men left at the table watch them go in varying stages of disbelief.
"Lucky son of a bitch," Will mutters and Santi can’t help but nod.
"Some thief you found us Ben," Santi says into his beer as he leans back in his chair.
"She’s the best," Ben grins back. Part2

And They Were Roommates (Bryce Lahela x MC)
Summary: A surprise leads to a major shift in Bryce and Casey’s relationship
A/N: Eeeek, this is my first time ever writing a Bryce x MC fic! The day you guys see me writing something not Ethan centric is the day you should play the lotto because it’s more rare than a unicorn sighting.
Anywho....please enjoy!

~v~
“Okay, are we going out to lunch?” Casey asks, twisting her fingers into her skirt. From the passenger seat of Bryce’s car, the bustling streets of Boston fly past her. A tendril of her curly hair whips around in the wind, settling on her lip as it sticks to her tacky lip gloss. Bryce is a freaking speed demon and drives too fast for her liking.
But she does like looking at him when he’s behind the wheel. His grip on the wheel is relaxed, much like his posture, slouched low in the seat, right hand drumming against the gear shift. While it’s still winter, the sun is shining brightly, making the highlights in his hair and the light dusting of freckles adorning his nose stand out. Her boyfriend—even thinking that word makes her giddy—makes a pretty sight to behold.
“No, that’s not the plan. But we can go get food once we’re done,” Bryce answers..
“Ice skating?” Casey guesses. She watches as he shakes his head. “But ice skating sounds so fun.”
“We can go ice skating some other time, Case.”
“We’re going to the movies?”
Bryce chuckles. She’s been trying to guess all morning what he has planned for the day, and despite getting every single guess wrong, Casey comes up with another one at the drop of a hat. The persistence is admirable. “You’ll find out soon enough. Stop being so nosy.”
Casey pouts, feigning hurt. “I resent that! I prefer to be called naturally inquisitive. It makes me sound smart.”
“You’re nosy,” Bryce deadpans. “But don’t fret, we’ll be there in like, 5 minutes tops.”
He’s been excited from the moment he told her to get dressed, and Casey can see that his leg is bouncing up and down underneath the steering wheel. Whatever he has planned, he’s really excited about it, so Casey decided to keep quiet and enjoy the rest of the ride.
They enjoy the rest of the short ride, Casey scrolling through Bryce’s different Spotify playlists until she settles on the perfect song, but he’s pulling in and parking his car before she can even hit play.
An apartment complex was not what she was expecting to see. It’s a very nice apartment complex, located a few blocks away from Boston University. Casey can see the college students milling around, some adults walking their dogs, a few older more established couples, some with kids, some without going in and out of the building.
Now her curiosity is piqued. Is Bryce dragging her along to some surgeon friend’s apartment? Is this his idea of a Saturday adventure? Granted, he never promised her an adventure, just a surprise, and while she likes most of his surgical cohort, she’d rather be doing something else. Nonetheless, Casey doesn’t say anything, letting Bryce intertwine their fingers and lead her through the building.
They ride up the elevator in silence until they reach the 4th floor. It isn’t until Bryce reaches into his pocket and pulls out a key do the alarms go off on her brain. “Bryce? Did you–”
“I got a new apartment!” Bryce exclaims, cutting her off. “Surprise!”
Once the door is open, he’s pulling her in, his excitement palpable. Casey looks around the place. It’s unfurnished, the hardwood floors beneath them bright and freshly waxed. And even though she hasn’t looked around, she can already tell its much larger than his current 1 bedroom.
“Oh...wow,” is all that manages to come out of her mouth.
“I know! It’s in Keiki’s school district, thank god. And it’s a brand new unit, all stainless steel appliances, marble and quartz countertops, which are apparently huge deals when you’re apartment hunting. In-unit washer and dryer, walk-in closets, there’s a gym and a pool downstairs, a game room–”
Casey watches him as his animatedly rattles off all of the features in the apartment. His face is flush, pink with excitement, his words are breathless and tumbling out of his mouth all at once. She takes a step forward, cupping his face between both hands. “Bryce, I think you should stop and breathe.”
The command makes him flush hard, now from embarrassment. “Sorry.”
“It’s fine. You can continue now.”
“That was pretty much it. The main draw is that it’s a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, so I don’t have to sleep on the couch anymore. Now Keiki and I will each have our own space. Do you think she’ll like it?”
“Will the 15 year old girl like having her own room, and not having to share a bathroom with her older brother?” Casey nods. “Absolutely. Keiki is a lucky duck.” She takes a few steps further into the apartment, silently appraising it. It’s beautiful from what she can see, and she hasn’t even seen the bedrooms. “Question: how are you affording this place? You’re a surgical resident, living in Boston is expensive, and I’m pretty sure Sallie Mae is eating most of your paychecks.”
Bryce looks down at his feet, shuffling them back and forth much to Casey’s dismay. He’s going to scuff the floors doing that. “I uh...I talked to my parents.”
“When?”
“A little over a month ago, before I enrolled Keiki in school. I called my parents and gave them quite the earful about not contacting Keiki once since she’s been in Boston, and I kinda let them have it. Turns out I’ve been holding in a lot of pent up...stuff regarding my parents.”
Casey’s eyes soften at his confession. They hardly ever have conversations about his parents, and when they do, it’s never good. “You want to talk about it?”
Bryce shakes his head, memories of that conversation trying to bubble to the surface. His mother tried her hand at making awkward small talk as if they hadn’t gone years without talking, while his father said nothing at all. He bites the inside of his cheek, willing the bad memory to go away. Negative thoughts of his parents don’t need to invade this space. “Nah, it’s not important.”
Resisting the urge to call bullshit, Casey simply nods. “Agree to disagree, Bry. But we’ll table it for now and just continue your story.”
He’s grateful that she’s willing to listen, but not pushy enough to force him to talk, leaving the ball in his court. “Long story short, I told them that Keiki is welcome to stay with me in Boston and I wouldn’t make it public news that they all but abandoned their daughter and drag social services into things, if they allowed me to be her legal caregiver.”
“Really?”
“Yup. So I can be in charge of her education and medical decisions while she’s out here. It’s less permanent than me filing her guardianship, and my parents still legally have rights, but it makes things easier. And because of that, my parents are giving me a pretty generous monthly allowance for all of her expenses. Housing, food, school supplies, the works.”
“So child support?”
“Pretty much, yes. I didn’t ask for it, but the Lahelas like to throw money at their problems. Some of that money goes towards the rent here, the rest I put in a savings account for Keiki. I’ll gift her the money when she starts college, so she’ll have a bit of a nest egg, and won’t be dependent on ramen noodles and the McDermot’s dollar menu like I was.”
Bryce shoves his hands into his pockets and looks at Casey, trying to gauge her reaction. “I know I dumped a lot on you, and you probably think I’m insane for taking all of this on but–”
Casey wraps her arms around his waist and cuts him off with a quick kiss. “If I could look at you with literal heart eyes right now, I would.”
“Really?”
“Really.” She leans forward, resting her head against the solid expanse of his chest. The faint scent of his laundry detergent and his cologne invade her senses, and she relishes in it. He smells like comfort, if there was ever such a thing. “I can’t believe you accomplished all of this in such a short period of time.”
“Well my lease was up, and I was trying to get Keiki situated in school, and it all sort of fell into place at the right time.”
“Stop trying to downplay it,” Casey orders. “You are strong, and brave, and you take initiative in any situation. I don’t know too many 27 year olds that would spring into action and volunteer to raise their teenage sisters, all while being a resident and trying to juggle their own personal life.”
The way she says it, the awe and idolatry in her voice makes his stomach flip. Bryce considers himself to be a pretty self-assured guy. He has a healthy level of self esteem, but something about Casey praising him always causes him to short circuit, without fail. “You make it sound so much cooler than it really is.”
“It is cool,” Carey argues. “You’re doing a noble thing, so let me give you compliments you deserve.”
He doesn’t meet her eyes immediately, the bashfulness still holding him tight. Eventually, Bryce looks up at her, her expression open and earnest. “You make me sound so much better than I really am.”
Casey grabs hold of his sweater and tugs him closer, forcing him to crane forward and be at her eye level. “Mhmm, it’s a hidden talent of mine. I happen to be an excellent salesperson.”
Bryce smirks, their lips barely brushing against each other, and mumbles “You’re such a dork,” before capturing her in a kiss. Casey responds instantly, matching his eagerness and fervor. It doesn’t take long for things to get more heated, his tongue slipping into her mouth, hands going to grip her waist.
She breaks to kiss to inhale sharply. “You’ve lived here for 5 minutes and you’re already trying to defile the place.”
“Can’t help it. You make me feel like a horny teenager again, baby.”
“Well stop it.”
Bryce rolls his eyes. “You’re no fun.”
“Come on loverboy, show me around. Give me the grand tour.”
They wander around the apartment at a leisurely pace, Casey pointing out all of the different things Bryce could buy to furnish the place—“What do you mean you’ve never gone to Home Goods?”—and admonishing his idea to shop on Craigslist. He’s an adult, not a college freshman, and his home should reflect that.
“You want to know what the best part is?” Bryce asks, leading Casey back to their starting point, the living room.
“What?”
“Keiki’s bedroom is on the other side of the apartment, separated by a pretty sizable living room.”
He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively, and she shoves at his chest, laughing. “And? Are you trying to say something?”
“Yeah, that one of us—you—can be pretty loud at times.”
Her cheeks heat up and she blushes furiously. “Well I’ll make sure to keep it quiet on the nights that I sleep over.”
“What if you didn’t just spend the night over here?”
He instantly regrets the way he phrased that sentence because it sounds like he just told her he doesn’t want her in his apartment. Casey frowns. “What do you mean?”
“Sorry! That sounded weird.” He flushes, stumbling over his words. Something about Casey Valentine makes him very nervous. “That’s not what I meant, I promise.”
Bryce grabs both of Casey’s hands, holding them close to his chest. “Move in with me.”
Her eyes widen at the suggestion. He wants to do what? “What?”
“I spent all of last year tiptoeing around our relationship, trying to keep things light and breezy when I really didn’t want that. And it took you being in that...horrible accent for me to finally reveal the full extent of my feelings for you. Now that we’re together and official, I don’t want to waste any more time.”
“I would like to go to sleep with you every night, your ice cold feet pressed against my legs, and your curly hair tickling my nose because you’ve invaded my side of the bed. And I want to wake up to you every morning, because even though you think you look crazy in the morning, I think you’re absolutely beautiful. I want us to cook together every day, or just you because you’re a much better cook than I am.” Casey giggles at his jokes, which only spur him on further. “Besides Keiki, you’re the most important person I have, and I want you here with me, permanently.”
When Casey doesn’t say anything immediately, Bryce understands. He just dropped a bomb—a few bombs actually—right at her feet, she needs time to process. But the silence stretches until it grows into something long and uncomfortable, and a thin sheen of sweat forms at Bryce’s hairline. Did he just shoot himself in the foot? Did he seriously overestimate her feelings for him, and the nature of their relationship?
Before he can open his mouth to renege on the invitation, Casey speaks. “We’re going to have to talk to your landlord, or the property manager, because a new lease needs to be drawn up.”
“W-what?”
“I mean, I assume it’s just you and Keiki listed on the lease, and I don’t want to just be a permanent guest staying in your apartment. I want it to be our apartment, so I need to be on the lease agreement,” Casey explains. “And I know you said your parents cover most of the rent on this place, but I want to contribute, so I guess I’ll be in charge of the–”
She doesn’t get to finish talking because Bryce is on her in an instant, his mouth crashing into hers in a fiery kiss. His fingers dig into her hips, walking her backwards until her back bumps into the kitchen island. In a quick show of strength, Bryce lifts her onto the island, and Casey has to break the kiss to hiss.
“Shit, that’s cold!”
“Sorry baby.” He’s not the least bit sorry, flashing her his signature smirk. “I’ll warm you up.”
“And you say I’m the dorky one,” Casey teases, laughing as Bryce kisses her between each word.
“You are,” he insists, kissing down her neck. She squirms away from him as his lips find a particularly sensitive spot, but he holds her in place. “We bring that out in each other.”
He kisses her a few more times, some softer than others, some so deep, she feels dizzy when he pulls away.
“We’re really going to do this?” Casey asks rhetorically. “This whole living together thing?”
“We are. I asked, and you said yes, so you’re stuck with me, little lady.”
There’s a smile on his face, so huge, Casey really thinks he might blind her with his pearly white teeth. She hasn’t seen him this relaxed, this unabashedly happy in a while. She can’t help but to smile back.
“You have to let me have creative control on furniture and decorations though.”
“This apartment is going to look like a furniture store magazine spread.”
Casey nods. “It’ll smell like the inside of a Bath & Body Works store in here, too.”
“You’re going to go crazy on the candles, aren’t you?”
“Oh absolutely. They also have cute wall plug-ins.”
Bryce laughs. “I don’t care. You and Keiki can do whatever you want to the place.”
“Mhmm, now you’re talking my language, Lahela.”
They talk excitedly, basking in the fun that this new journey is going to bring their relationship. They don’t know how much time has passed when the conversation finally dwindles down.
“Hey, Bryce?”
“Yeah?”
“Can you let me down from here?” Casey asks, gesturing to the countertop. Bryce has her caged in, arms on either side of her. “Despite your best efforts to warm me up with a make-out session, this thing is freezing cold.”
“No one told you to wear a mini skirt like this in winter, you naughty school girl.”
“I resent that! This skirt is very cute, and it would’ve looked even cuter had you taken me ice skating.”
Bryce rolls his eyes. He’s gonna have to take this girl to the ice skating rink, and soon. He trails his hands up and down her legs, taking in all the goosebumps that have popped up on her smooth skin.
“You want to know where this skirt would look even better?”
“Where?”
Gripping the backs of her thighs, Bryce lifts Casey off of the countertop and into his arms. “The floor of our new bedroom.”

Home Run
MASTERLIST
Happy Saturday! I’m back with a THIRD new fic in a row. I just couldn’t wait to post this one either. Requested by @andiebeaword, this fic was obviously inspired by the baseball scenes from 8x06. This was just so much fun to write and I liked being able to switch it up some and have it be like a huge BAU annual baseball game with past and current agents. It was interesting to be able to write about all these characters together, some of them never even being around at the same time on the show. Also, I had to use this gif cause Spencer’s huge smile in this scene will never fail to make me happy. Sit back, relax and enjoy a nice BAU ballgame fluff piece. Happy reading!
Spencer Reid/Reader
Rating: G (fluff)

It was the arrival of the annual baseball game that started it all.
Every year, the BAU held what was the most well known event outside the office; the baseball game was held on the first weekend in June, infamous for the most competitive game between all different members of the BAU, past and present.
Past members of the team came back every year to play. It was a nice, fun way to see everyone again.
This year was going to be a little...different.
“Guys, come on! You know why I never take part in this!” Spencer Reid whined, “I had to be exempt from any physical test just to get in the FBI!”
You chuckled at your friend and coworker’s expense. Standing next to you was Derek Morgan, another of your coworkers. Beside the two of you was a baseball cannon, loaded with balls for Spencer’s practice.
“Reid, you know Kevin Lynch can’t make the game this year due to a family commitment. We’re short one player,” Derek hollered back.
“I don’t even know how to play baseball!”
“Which is precisely why we’re here,” you retorted, “All you do is swing, hit the ball and run. It’s easy!”
“Easy for you,” he grumbled, lifting his bat again, “Okay, let’s try it again.”
“Don’t think, just feel it,” Morgan called.
“Feel it, feel it,” Spencer nodded.
The ball went shooting from the apparatus and you saw Spencer trying to follow it with his eyes. You crossed your fingers, hoping he’d hit it.
He swung.
And he missed. Again.
“Reid, that’s not feeling it!”
“I’m feeling like an idiot!” Spencer shouted back, exasperated.
“Come on pretty thang, go show your pretty boy how it’s done,” Morgan nodded to the home plate.
You cut him a warning glance, your cheeks reddening. You’d had a tiny crush on Spencer since the first day you met him.
Derek’s nickname for Spencer was pretty boy. When you’d joined the team, you became pretty thang. It was often his joke that Spencer was your pretty boy, which embarrassed you to no end. He definitely rooted for you two as a couple.
Despite all the relentless teasing, Spencer remained mercifully oblivious. You’d rather not deal with that embarrassment of your crush being exposed. Although if it was up to Derek Morgan, he’d shouted it from the rooftops for you ages ago.
“Kid, come here. Watch how she bats, okay?”
Derek put his arm around Spencer’s shoulders as you took your place behind the home plate, bat raised and ready. Morgan loaded another ball and it flew towards you.
A crack of the bat sounded as you hit it high in the air, watching it soar to the further end of the field.
“All you gotta do is swing your hips and hit it!” you called.
“If I had hips like that, I would,” Spencer retorted.
You knew Spencer didn’t mean anything by the remark, but you still felt a tad embarrassed at his focus on your body.
“Grab a mitt big boy, we’re practicing your catching,” Morgan called, running to grab one for you.
“Can’t wait,” Spencer mumbled sarcastically.
You chuckled, taking the mitt from Morgan and handing him the baseball bat.
“Don’t think I didn’t hear that remark of his about those sexy curves,” he teased you as he took your place batting.
“What’s that? You’re gonna take it easy on us?” you chuckled, purposely ignoring his remark.
Derek was a beast at batting and if he was going to bring his A game, Spencer was surely going to be in for it during his first outfield lesson.
“Oh never,” Morgan laughed.
“Guys you know all my unpleasant childhood sports memories happened like this,” Spencer protested.
“Okay, okay,” Morgan relented, “I’ll take it easy on you.”
“Thank you,” he huffed.
“Spence, since Kevin was right field, you’re going to be in the right field,” you said.
“Which is where exactly?” he asked, wincing.
You chuckled.
“Well, you know which way is right, correct?”
He nodded, pointing to the right.
“Then that’s where you’re heading,” you grinned, pushing him gently in that direction.
“Isn’t the right fielder where a team can hide their worst player without destroying their defense?” Spencer called, walking backwards to his position.
“You know that yet you can’t play baseball?” you asked, mystified.
“I know information about a lot of things I don’t do,” he replied.
“Good point,” you mumbled.
“Watch out pretty boy,” Morgan called, “Y/N’s a beast at playing center field.”
“As long as I have to play as little as possible, I’m fine!”
The ball shooter let loose another ball and Morgan hit it high in the air. Your eyes never left the ball as you sprinted to catch it, the ball falling perfectly in your glove. If it had been a real game, Morgan would’ve been out.
He whistled across the field.
“Now that’s impressive.”
You peered over at Spencer, who was looking at you, mouth agape.
“What?” you flushed.
“I just didn’t expect you to be able to do that.”
“I played a lot of baseball when I was younger,” you explained.
“How do you expect me to play like that?” Spencer asked, still stunned.
“We’re not expecting you to be a professional, Reid,” Morgan said, approaching him, “Just do your best and have fun. It’s a game for fun anyway.”
“Fun for you guys,” he grumbled.
“Okay, I’m gonna try to go easier on you, to give a little practice on fetching the ball,” Derek said, heading back to home plate.
“I’m not a Golden Retriever!” Spencer said.
You chuckled.
Derek purposely held back, sending the ball in the middle of your area and Spencer’s. He ran for it at the same time you did as you noticed it was close to falling towards the field’s fence.
You weren’t paying attention to your surroundings, only the ball. That was how you ended up running right into Spencer’s chest, falling backwards into the ground. You lost track of the ball, but noticed it fall to the ground a few feet away from you.
“Oh my god, are you okay?!”
He rushed to help you up, but you waved him away, apologizing.
“So sorry about that,” you chuckled, “I should’ve been paying more attention to where I was going.”
Like a gentleman, he offered a hand to help you up, which you ended up taking, trying to ignore the tingling on your skin that holding his hand produced.
“No, I’m sorry,” he apologized, “I’m not that good at this sort of thing. In fact, I suck.”
“Hey, no need to be so hard on yourself,” you smiled, “You’re doing just fine.”
“Unless you two are over there discussing how amazing I am, I’d love for you two to get back to your positions!” Morgan shouted.
“Nah, we were just discussing how we think you’d look in a toupee,” Spencer remarked, making you snort.
Your phone beeped and you reached in the back pocket of your shorts and pulled it out, seeing a text message from team member and technical analyst Penelope Garcia.
“Guys, we’ve got a case,” you announced to the two men.
“Hallelujah.”
Spencer practically sprinted off the baseball field making you and Derek laugh heartily.
“Just you wait, pretty boy!” Derek called out to him, “I’m sure you’ll surprise everyone this weekend!”
•
Saturday was a beautiful day.
The skies were such a clear blue, it almost looked artificial. The sun shone brightly without a cloud in the sky and the temperature was pleasant, without being too hot. Basically, it was the perfect day for a baseball game.
The game day also fell on a great day.
The team had just wrapped up the case that you and them had been called in on earlier in the week. It would be nice to have a relaxing Saturday afternoon with some baseball, good friends and plain ‘ol fun.
“Spencer!”
You waved him over, when you saw him.
“Hey,” he grinned, catching the mitt you threw him.
“We’re first in the field,” you explained, “You ready to play some ball?”
“Stoked,” he deadpanned.
“Oh come on, it won’t be that bad,” you chuckled, reaching up to place his baseball hat on his head.
“You’ll do great,” you assured him, patting his chest as you headed off towards your spot in center field.
Your team was made up of your fellow BAU team members including: Aaron Hotchner, David Rossi, Emily Prentiss, Jennifer Jareau, Luke Alvez, Penelope, Derek, Spencer and of course, yourself.
On the opposing team were friends and fellow coworkers: Matt Simmons, Tara Lewis, Alex Blake, Ashley Seaver, Stephen Walker, Kate Callahan, Jordan Todd, Mateo Cruz and Grant Anderson.
Last year, they had won. This year, you and your team were ready to take back the reigning title.
The crowd was filled with friends and family, here to support their loved ones.
There was Beth, Hotch’s girlfriend and Jack, Hotch’s teenaged son. Rossi’s wife Krystall, his step daughter Portia, daughter Joy—and her husband and son Kai—were also in attendance. Savannah and Hank were there too, Morgan’s wife and three year old son, cheering their favorite player on.
JJ’s husband Will and their two boys, Henry and Michael were in the stands as usual; they never missed this yearly game. All of Matt Simmons’ small tribe were also present and accounted for; wife Kristy and their two sons Jake and David, twin girls Chloe and Lily and their newly one year old final child, Rose Mary. Even Emily’s boyfriend Andrew Mendoza had shown up to cheer on his favorite girl.
Alex Blake’s husband James had come, taking a weekend off of his teaching duties so he could travel to D.C. for the game. Stephen Walker’s wife Monica sat with their two teenagers, a son and a daughter, already whooping and cheering for his team. Kate Callahan’s little family was there too; it was nice to see them since you hadn’t seen them in a while. Her husband Chris was seated with their biological niece turned adopted daughter Meg—who was now 18 and so much older than the last time you’d seen her—and their youngest daughter, now five.
Rounding out the group of loved ones was Anderson’s wife, her belly swollen with pregnancy.
If that sounded like a huge turnout, that didn’t even count the other members of the BAU and other departments of the FBI. The bleachers were absolutely packed. The game really was that big of a deal.
The game started out rather slow, which was pretty unusual for a game between both teams. With two incredibly talented teams, usually someone had scored by now, but in hindsight it also meant the defense of each team was incredibly good as well.
By the third inning, both Morgan and Hotch had hit two homeruns. You’d had a decent hit, but ended up striking out before you could reach third base.
In another inning, the opposite team had tied up.
Poor Spencer up to this point had struck out every time he was at the bat. You could tell he was incredibly embarrassed, but you kept encouraging him.
“Don’t let it get you down, Spence,” you smiled, after he’d struck out again, “You’re gonna hit it when they least expect it and knock them off their feet.”
He offered an appreciative half smile and you found yourself silently cheering him on throughout the entire game.
Surprisingly, his right fielding skills were pretty great. He had caught on quickly and was able to fetch the balls and throw them to any nearby basemen. He had actually struck out Kate, preventing her from almost scoring another point to take the lead.
“Woo! Way to go, Spence!” you hooted, clapping as best as you could with your mitt.
You saw his face flush and you knew it wasn’t all from the heat.
By mid game, the sun had started beating down on all of the attendees causing lots of red faces, sweaty shirts and bottles of water to be consumed. You were hot and sweaty like no other, but you were having the best time.
The fifth inning brought your team a three point lead which you’d contributed one of those points to and you were rather proud. You high fived all your teammates as you ran across home plate and came to the end of the line where Spencer was. He picked you up and spun you around in his excitement.
“Is it my imagination or is someone actually having fun?” you grinned.
“I’m definitely having fun.”
-
The last inning was the most tense.
It was tied 5 to 5 and Spencer was up to bat next. If he struck out, the opposing team had one last chance to come out ahead and win the game.
Spencer was a wreck, to put it lightly. He’d already struck out once and Morgan ended up calling a time out.
Spencer had been pacing and gesticulating wildly as Morgan talked to him, finally putting his hands on Spencer’s shoulders to calm him.
Whatever Morgan said to him, seemed to work.
You watched from the sidelines as he calmly walked back to the home plate.
Stephen was the one pitching this inning and he had a pretty good throw. But you believed in Spencer.
“Come on Spencer! You can do it!” you hollered.
You watched his posture change from nervousness to more confident. There had definitely been some sort of change in him.
The ball left Stephen’s hand and went flying Spencer’s way. You found yourself holding your breath and you actually flinched at the sudden crack of the bat hitting the ball.
Spencer seemed stunned for a moment as the ball soared towards the outfield, high above everyone’s heads.
“Run, run!” you and the rest of the team yelled to him, snapping him out of his daze.
Garcia was on second base and Rossi was on third. They went running as the other team scrambled to catch the ball in time.
Rossi crossed the home plate, causing loud hoots and cheers from the audience that continued on as Penelope made it home right behind him.
Spencer hit first base and second by the time Matt had retrieved the ball. You noticed Spencer pick up speed and whiz past third base, trying to make it in time before the ball reached the pitcher again.
The cheers grew louder as loved ones shouted their encouragement to Spencer in hopes he made it home.
He slid home moments before the ball met Stephen’s glove bringing the game to an end in a 5-8 win.
The bleachers erupted in screams, as did you and the rest of your team.
Morgan practically tackled Spencer in a hug, Spencer’s grin so big it rivaled the brightness of the afternoon sun.
You were right behind Morgan to greet Spencer. Morgan had just let him go as you ran up to him.
“Spence, that was awesome!” you cried.
In your excitement you grabbed Spencer’s face and kissed him hard, not even thinking of what you were doing until after you’d already pulled away.
He stood frozen and stunned, a smile on his face and you grinned, realizing you didn’t regret it one bit.
Everyone else had been too busy to see it, you assumed, so before the rest of the team swarmed him you called to him.
“You deserved that!”
Just then, the other six members reached him, swallowing him up in their excitement. His smile never left his face and his eyes flicked to you numerous times, an almost shyness to him.
You had assumed no one had seen the kiss until you overheard Morgan’s comment to Spencer.
“Way to go pretty boy! You didn’t just get one home run today, you got two!”

Note: So this is for black Friday and then I’ll be working all today and tomorrow and schedule’s are super late so I dunno when Im working after that. Hope you guys enjoy and don’t hesitate to drop by my asks.
Thank you. Love you guys!
As always, if you can, please leave some feedback, like and reblog <3
Arvin let you pick the record. You found it among the box of your daddy’s music. It was one of your favourites and you were glad he wasn’t bothered by Patsy Cline’s droll tones. He seemed to enjoy it as he sat and read a magazine and you searched for a button from your large tin to match that missing from Roy’s jacket.
“You ever listen to Elvis?” He looked up from behind the pages.
“I… I heard him on the radio but you know we haven’t got new records since Daddy died,” you said as you continued your hunt. “And Roy don’t like all that new music. He says it’s no good.”
“Well, he doesn’t seem to like much, does he?” Arvin sniffed, “I always knew he was a grouch but I just thought it was the job.”
“He’s not… He’s just stressed. He works so much.” You looked down and settled on a button that was close enough.
“You do too,” Arvin hid behind the magazine again. “You should be the one goin’ out and doin’ what you like on a Saturday. Hell, if he ain’t gonna spend his time with you, you should do something of your own.”
“I like sewing,” you shrugged as you threaded the button, “You know, it’s not so bad. I get time to myself. A lot of people can’t say that.”
“Sounds pretty lonely to me,” he flicked the page.
You were silent. You didn’t know how to respond. He was skirting around what he really wanted to say, what you didn’t want him to talk about. The tension in the air thickened as you feared he would admit that he knew or you might confess that your husband wasn’t much of one. Hell, you’d yet to accept that yourself.
Your fears were assuaged by the sudden clatter on the porch and the hinges of the door as it was swung open. You sat up and set aside Roy’s jacket. You stood as he staggered inside. He always did like to drink when he fished, or did much of anything else. You frowned as he tracked mud in on his tall rubber boots.
“Roy, you’re making a mess,” you said as you went to the doorway and watched him stumble around the entryway.
“Keep ya busy,” he slapped a hand on the wall and wiggled his leg free of a boot. “There’s a whole pail of fish out front too.”
“Mmm,” you hummed as his cheeks glowed. You doubted he’d be awake that long. “Well, I’ll just fry those up while you sit down.”
“Agh,” he tripped over his other boot as he slipped it off and Arvin brushed by you to catch him.
“Hey, Roy,” he took his arm, “How was the fishing? Why don’t you sit down? We’ll have a beer.”
“I almost forgot about you, boy,” he shook free of Arvin and ambled closer to you, “Maybe you can hide away after dinner for a while?”
He dragged his hand up your thigh and slapped your ass as he passed you. Arvin turned as Roy clumsily traipsed into the living room and fell onto the couch. He looked at you but you couldn’t stand to meet his.
“Sure,” Arvin uttered, “I’ll just go get those fish first.”
He disappeared through the front door and you crossed your arms as you turned to watch your husband. His head lolled as he chuckled.
“You think he ever fucked a girl?” He asked, “Boy tiptoes around like a virgin.”
“That’s crass, Roy,” you reproached.
“Don’t act so innocent,” he snapped, “If you didn’t, maybe I’d… well.”
His words trailed off and he closed his eyes. He yawned and sighed loudly. You grimaced and listened to the door as it hit the frame again. Arvin continued onto the kitchen as Roy began to snore. It must have been a record how quickly he’d passed out this time.
You went through to the kitchen as Arvin drained the water from the pail of fish. You went to the drawer and got a knife. You rest it on its end as you gripped it and looked out the window.
“He’s already out for the night,” you said, “You hungry?”
“I said I’d make the fish, I meant it.”
“Nah, I’ll flay them and put ‘em in the fridge,” you swallowed, “I’m sorry.”
“For what?”
“That you’re stuck here with us. Sorry he’s always drunk.” You looked down at the blade. You didn’t say what you really wanted to. Sorry you were stupid enough to choose Roy.
“That isn’t your fault and you know, I don’t mind it so much.” He neared, “We’re friends now, aren’t we? That’s worth it.”
You nodded but couldn’t smile. He always tried to make things seem nicer than they were. He was much better at it than you were.
“You comin’ to church tomorrow?”
“Of course,” he answered like it was obvious.
You turned away and laid out the fish across the cutting board. He stayed behind you, the record silenced and began to skip.
“I think I got somethin’ nice I can find.” He left you and the crackle of the Victrola died.
You slice the fish, careful not to cut your fingers as you deboned it and tossed away the heads and tails. You heard Arvin speak in a low voice and a grumble. Then heavy footsteps interspersed with lighter ones. The stairs groaned and you kept on, wrapping the filets in paper and tucking it away.
You cleaned up and washed the smell off your hands. The living room was empty so you climbed the stairs and found Roy face down on your bed. You turned to the open attic and Arvin descended the ladder.
“You got him to bed?” You tilted your head.
“Wasn’t so hard. Poked him a few times.” He grinned. “So what time do I needa be ready for church?”
“We leave about twenty minutes before service. It’s at eight.” You answered, “Oh, you know what--” You raised your index finger, “One sec.”
You spun and scurried into your father’s room. It was just as it had been before he died except now there were boxes stacked along one wall. You pushed open the closet and fluttered through the clothes hanging within. You pulled out the old grey suit and white shirt that had yet to yellow. You grabbed a tie from the drawer as you passed the dresser.
You smelled them as you went back to the door as Arvin peeked in.
“For church,” you held them out, “My daddy was a bit taller but he got skinny near the end. I can pin up the pants for you and you’ll look just fine.”
“Oh,” he face paled, “You-- I can’t--”
“Roy’ll never fit into these so please,” you pushed them against his chest. “And I don’t think he’ll be up in time for church so I need you to drive.”
He smiled and took the clothes. He hugged them as if they were precious. “Thank you. I’m gonna sound like you for a moment but you really didn’t have to.”
“You think I’m gonna forget that you promised to make the fish? It’ll be a nice Sunday night dinner.” You inhaled deeply, “I think that for tonight, I’m gonna lay down though.”
“Alright,” he let you past, “You have a good night.”
“You too,” you neared your bedroom door as Roy’s snores grew louder, “Might have to stuff my ears with cotton.”
🚬
As you expected, Roy was too hungover to get up for church. You didn’t really go for the sermons but your daddy made it a habit when you were young to make sure you got to see the other kids in town. Sunday school had socialised you in the circles of the small town but they had proven less than welcoming. And since you’d grown out of your education, you went to trade recipes with some of the other wives.
Arvin was awake before you. As you pulled a cardigan over your blue dress you stopped at the bottom of the stairs and he appeared from the front room.
“Oh, Arvin,” you smiled, “That suit looks real nice on you. And the pants…”
“I sewed them myself last night,” he lifted his foot, “Remembered a few stitches.” He straightened the jacket, “You look real good too.”
“Well, aren’t we a pair?” You chimed. “Gonna have to be since Roy hasn’t moved since you dragged him to bed.”
“After you,” he waved to the door, “Think we should get goin’. My daddy woulda whipped me being late for the lord’s prayer.
You led him out the door and climbed into the truck opposite him. He turned the ignition and the engine rumbled to life. You felt calm as you smelled the early morning dew and you looked out the window as he shifted into gear. The lush green grass passed you by and trees swayed as he steered along the old country road.
As always, the church was crowded. You and Arvin squeezed in at the back. He was quiet and sombre as you entered. As you sat, you looked over at him. His jaw squared as the preacher came out and began his weekly scourge. A fire burned behind Arvin’s brown irises and he scowled for a moment before his face went placid.
You looked forward and folded your hands as you listened to Father Milton. You never cared much for his talk of hellfire and brimstone, to be fair, your daddy didn’t either, but in a small town, everyone knew when one was away from service. Roy never cared what anyone thought but you had to deal with Noreen and the other ladies at the grocer or around town about their own tasks.
When mass finished, you stood but Arvin hesitated. He stared up at the altar before he finally rose. He nodded to you and followed you and the other worshippers out into the sun.
You heard your name as you headed for the truck. You stopped and Arvin did too. You turned as Noreen, a woman older than yourself who fashioned herself to be the model for all society ladies, approached you. She wore a wide-brimmed hat over her blonde hair and took short steps in her heels.
“You promised me that carrot cake recipe. The one with the raisins.” She said. “Now I’ve been hounding you for three weeks.”
“Oh, uh,” you unclasped your pocketbook and fished out the card you’d made sure to stow after last Sunday. “Right here. I’m sorry, Noreen, but I gotta get back.”
“Where is Roy? Was he off drinkin’ again? You know, the lord did warn us all against excess.”
“Well, perhaps we can get him to come next week and you can warn him,” Arvin intoned and Noreen looked over in shock.
“Excuse me. And who is this… man you have as your escort?”
“Roy is letting the attic out to him. They work together. This is Arvin.”
“Arvin Russell,” he introduced firmly.
“That’s an unusual name,” Noreen remarked, “You’re not from here?”
“No, but from a place like this.” He countered, “I’m gonna go get the truck goin’.”
He turned without courtesy and marched away. You looked back to Noreen as she curled her lip.
“Oh, he is a rough one, isn’t he? You have that scoundrel livin’ with you?”
“He’s a good man. Helps around the house. It’s a big place and Missy Grable has a tenant of her own.”
“Missy Grable has a farmhand to tend the fields,” Noreen lifted her chin.
You weren’t certain what to say. Noreen always found issue with whatever you said and you hated to give her further reason to.
“Well, here’s the recipe. I really ought to go.” You said.
“I understand, honey,” She smirked, “Your husband needs his caretaker… oh sorry, wife.”
You flinched but said nothing else. Your shoulders dropped as you turned away and dragged your heels through the dirt. You opened the truck and climbed in without a word. You clutched your pocketbook and stared ahead as Arvin back out of the lot.
“Pardon my saying so and I don’t use this word often, but she was a bitch,” Arvin said. “Remind me why I ain’t go to church.”
You looked down and nervously unclasped and unclasped your purse. “You didn’t have to come.”
“No, it’s your house and I wanna be a good guest,” he said, “It’s nothing to do with you.”
You scoffed and shook your head. “My daddy hated goin’ too but he didn’t want me to be ostracised, you know? He told me, near the end, that he stopped believin’ durin’ the war. He said no god would let the things happen that he saw.” You leaned against the door and watched the buildings pass. “Seein’ how these Christians act, I can’t blame him.”
Arvin was quiet as you left the main street and the house began to thin out until the country sprawled out around you.
“My sister…” he said so low you barely heard him. He cleared his throat and spoke louder. “My cousin, she was tricked by a preacher man. She was young and too willing to love. And he was just a liar. He knocked her up then refused her.” His voice was brittle and you glanced over as his hand tightened on the steering wheel. “She hung herself but it was that snake-tongued charlatan who killed her.” He shook his head. “No god would take her like that. No god would let a man sworn to him trick the innocent.” He rubbed his forehead as his eyes bore into the distance, “I’m sorry. Just been a while since I sat in a pew.”
“No, I’m… sorry. Sorry about your cousin.” You said, “I didn’t-- You can stay home next week.”
He pondered it and a little smile curled his lips. “Don’t think I will. Think I’d like to see that Noreen again. Maybe say a prayer for her soul, wherever it may be.”
🚬
Roy was still in bed when you got home. You tried to rouse him and he swatted you away. You brought him a sandwich and some water and left it beside him. You went back down to clean up as Arvin sat in the front room, As you wiped your hands, the record player buzzed and a tune rose on noontime air.
You went to the living room as Arvin stood straight and you listened to the smooth tones of Sinatra. He turned to you as you entered.
“I like this one,” you said.
“Me too,” He had shed the jacket and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt, his tie disposed of. He turned his palm up as he stepped away from the player. “You dance?”
You giggled and shook your head. “No, not much of a dancer. Roy wouldn’t even at the wedding.”
“Come on. It’s a good song.” He got closer and began to sing out of tune, “I get no kick from champagne. Mere alcohol doesn't thrill me at all…”
You shied away and he caught your hand. You let him draw you closer and smiled as your cheeks warmed up.
“Just follow my lead,” he urged as he moved his feet, “Don’t look down, just one, two, one, two…”
You moved your feet around his as he swayed you and turned you on the spot. His hand settled on your lower back and you grasped his shoulders. You were jittery as you moved with him in time to the music.
“Arvin…” You breathed.
“Every pretty girl should dance,” he said, “I’d say you’re a hell of a dancer for a beginner.”
“Thanks,” you trilled and settled into his embrace.
“I mean it. You deserve more.” He leaned closer and you felt his hot breath on you. “You deserve the world.”
You smiled as he gazed across at you. Your heart leapt as there was a sudden clamour by the stairs and you pushed away from Arvin as Roy stomped into the doorframe. His hand fell away from your back and you tiptoed over to your husband.
“Roy, you’re awake? How ya feelin’?”
“All this goddamn noise you makin’ down here,” he grumbled, “Shut off that dang thing. There’s a game on.”
You flitted away and turned off the Victrola. You looked at Arvin as he watched Roy. He looked irritated and repulsed by the man.
“I gotta do some chores,” you muttered. “You boys enjoy the game.”
“I think I’m just gonna go upstairs,” Arvin tucked his hands in his pockets. “I’ll be down to cook that fish in a bit.”
You watched the younger man leave and Roy turned the dial on the radio. Your husband flopped onto the couch as the commentator’s voice filled the room.
“How about a beer?” He demanded, not asked.
🚬
The day turned to night. Dinner was quiet and tense. Roy didn’t drink as much as the day before but the alcohol made little difference. Arvin was pensive and seemed to lose himself in thought. You were nervous as you thought of the dance and your temperamental husband.
You hadn’t done anything wrong. It was just a dance. How come Roy could spend his days drunk and dozing and you couldn’t do anything you liked?
You cleaned up after supper. Arvin retreated to his room once more as Roy sat in the living room with another bottle and you tidied up. You cleared the last of the mess and looked out into the front room. Roy belched and sneered as he saw you.
“Wife,” he beckoned you forward with two fingers, “What did you do today?”
“Went to church. Cleaned.” You edged closer. “That’s all. I was real worried about you, Roy.”
“Were you?” He snorted and stood as he dropped his bottle on the table. “You didn’t seem too bothered when I came down.”
“What do you mean?” You stopped a foot away from him.
“You and that kid. You get on real well, don’t ya?” He snickered. “You down here dancing.”
“Just a dance, Roy,” you said meekly, “I didn’t wanna be rude.”
“You just wanna be a whore,” he snarled, “Huh? What you doin’ with that boy? I’m your husband.”
“I know, I know that, Roy. I never-- I didn’t do nothing.” You pleaded as he stepped closer. “I was just waitin’ for you to wake up.”
“Shut your fucking mouth,” he hissed as he grabbed the back of your head and thrust you close to him. “You been doin’ everything but what a wife is meant for.”
He tore open the front of your dress and you cried out. “I’m gonna fuck you and let that boy hear who you belong to.”
“Stop, please.”
“Stop!? This is what you promised me, dear wife.”
You struggled with him as the smell of alcohol on his breath made you cringe. He spun you and shoved you so hard you stumbled back against the couch. You got up as he ambled after you and were knocked back by his fist. You cradled your cheek as you fell onto the cushions.
He pushed you up against the back of the couch and tried to wrench your legs apart. You squeezed your knees together and slapped at him blindly as fear bubbled in your veins. He forced your legs open and knelt on the couch between them. He grabbed your throat as you tried to wriggle away and he struck you again. He never hit your face; he didn’t like people to see what he did to you.
“I’ll show you,” he muttered, “I’ll show you, you little whore.”
He reached for his fly but his face mirrored your shock as he suddenly stilled and for a moment, he froze in time before he fell back onto the floor. Arvin stepped aside to avoid the crash and turned to hit him across the face. Roy’s brow split and began to stream with blood.
Arvin struck him a third time and pointed the gun at his head as he laid prone on the floor. Roy touched the back of his skull as he stared up barrel. The whack from the butt of the gun would likely leave a worse lump than his punches.
“Get up and go.” Arvin growled. “Or I’m gonna smear this carpet with your brains.”
“Are you crazy? This is my house!” Roy barked and pushed himself up. The pistol clicked and Arvin pressed it to his head.
“It’s her daddy’s house.”
“She’s my wife, boy.”
“You don’t act like no husband,” Arvin said gruffly, “You think I’m scared? Think I haven’t shot a man before?”
“Sure you have, boy.”
“It’s different. You go out and you hunt your bucks and they don’t know what’s comin’, they don’t even know when they shot. But a man, oh he knows to the end. He begs, even if he can’t speak, he does. It’s in his eyes, in the way he gurgles as the life drains from his lips.” Arvin kicked Roy, “And once I pull this trigger, you’ll be begging too but it’ll be too late and there ain’t no words you can say to stop the blood. So you shut up and you go before you can’t.”
You were paralysed on the couch. Your head throbbed as you couldn’t believe what you were seeing. You trembled as Roy stood slowly and winced as Arvin followed his movement with the muzzle of the gun. Arvin followed your husband to the door and you heard the sharp whine of the other before it clattered shut.
Crickets chirped as dirt stirred beneath feet and you heard the old truck shudder to life. The door snapped shut and locked loudly. Arvin appeared and lowered the gun. You stared at it as he came close. He set it on the table and sat beside you as he touched your face and you winced.
“Are you okay?” He asked as he pulled you against him, “I’m sorry he hurt you. I shoulda-- shoulda been faster.”
“Arv…” Your voice turned to a wisp and you let him hold you.
“Shhh, it’s okay. I got you now.”

For Bakudeku event on Twitter
Modern AU setting. Santa/Elf prompt
It started with a stupid dare to take a picture with the Santa in the mall, and Katsuki Bakugou never backed down from a dare no matter how stupid or silly it was. And really, how could taking a picture hurt?
With his buddies watching on, the blonde trundled up to the Santa and sat on the man’s lap for the photo, glaring at his friends who were giving him the thumbs up. ‘Fuckers, if they even so much as think... to...’ his eyes land on Santa’s helper dressed like an elf. ‘Oh, wow...’
“Smile!” The young man prompting from behind the camera smiled brightly.
He looked to be their age from what Katsuki could see. Messy green hair stuck out from under an elf cap, costume matching the color of his hair and eyes for that matter, but the freckles... just adorable! Such a bright smile practically radiated happiness, oh, and how the man’s eyes crinkled at the corners, twinkling like the soft Christmas lights set up around the area. Katsuki’s heart skipped and he suddenly forgot where he was.
“Sir, you may wait on the side for your photo.”
Huh? Oh, right, the stupid photo dare. He didn’t even want it, yet walked over to the waiting area where his friends were standing.
“Bakubro,” Eijiro Kirishima, his best friend questioned, “you seem dazed, did the flash blind you or something?”
“What? Pfft, no, why?”
“You like, totally zoned out at the elf, that’s why.”
The amused tone in Eijiro’s voice wasn’t lost on the blonde. “So? I thought he looked weird.”
“Oh...”
“Oh?” Katsuki’s brow raises. “What the fuck did you think I was thinking?!”
Eijiro grinned wide. “That he’s cute.”
“I didn’t say that!” He gritted out. “Don’t be putting words in my mouth!”
Katsuki continued to deny his friends assertions, and was so caught up in the bickering, doesn’t hear the elf coming up behind him until Eijiro stopped mid-sentence to look past him.
“Sir, your photo.”
The chipper voice was like a melody to soothe a savage beast. Clearly the opposite of personality from the gruff and grumpy Katsuki. He turned quickly and took the white envelope with a curt thanks before immediately getting the hell out of there! His friends followed, laughing, at his expense, but screw them! It’s not like he had a chance anyway! The guy probably had a girl or boyfriend being such a cutie cinnamon roll. The longer he thought about it, the worst his mood became. Katsuki worked hard to hide his anxieties, which is why he rarely dated.
“Dude, come on,” Eijiro tried to stop him from leaving the mall so soon. “We were just kidding!”
“I’m fucking tired, so I’m going home!” To forget all about the cute little Santa’s helper.
Except he couldn’t..
And kept thinking about the man, even dreamt about him that night. When Katsuki woke up the next morning, tired from a restless sleep, he pulled up the mall information on his phone to see how long they’d be running the Santa’s workshop. Two more weeks, and the last day would be Christmas Eve. Great. Two weeks to figure out what to do.
‘This is madness...’ Katsuki thought as he stood around the corner just out of view. He’d been watching the elf work for a week now, desperate to learn more. Was he gay, straight, taken?! Please be gay and single. So far, he hasn’t seen anyone approach the elf, but then again, he is at work and they might not come to bother him at work. ‘Argh! What am I doing here?!’
It was lunch break for the elf, and Katsuki watched as he removed the costumes hat and grabbed his belongings to go to the food court. But just as he leaves the front, a girl walked up. The elf smiled wide, happy with a light blush on his cheeks as they hug. Katsuki deflates the longer he watches them chat, and the deeper the man’s cheeks turn red. Oh... this must be a girlfriend. He turned away unable to watch any longer. So be it. He knew the odds had been low, that this cinnamon roll would be taken. Smart people jump at such opportunities, yet look at him, stalking someone because he’d been too afraid to say anything.
Katsuki sucked back the tears. No! He’s not gonna cry! Wtf is wrong with him! His hands clench at his sides and head hangs low. Time to leave and move on, there’ll be others or maybe not. But like a glutton for punishment, Katsuki turned to look one more time, take one last look at the cute little green-haired elf whose smile had stolen his heart... and who was staring back at him?!
The girl is pointing and grinning in his direction. Why the fuck is she pointing?! Katsuki’s takes a tentative step backwards, maybe they thought he was stalking?! Okay, so he was, but that’s not good. Crap! Why is the elf walking towards him now?! He looked around in a panic, should he run? Yes! Katsuki takes off in the opposite direction. He hears the man calling after him.
Stop! Wait! Please stop!
Why is the elf pursuing him?! Is he gonna report him to security? The girl probably called and they’re on their way...
Mister cute blonde guy please stop running!!
Mister WHAT?!
Katsuki stopped dead in his tracks, completely shook by the man’s words, but apparently the elf hadn’t planned on the sudden reaction and barreled head long into Katsuki’s back, sending them both tumbling to the ground.
“Are you crazy?!”
“You’re the one who ran!”
Both men’s mouths clamp shut, face to face, eye to eye... Katsuki sucked in a breath, heaven help him the elf’s emerald pools with hints of gold flecks bore straight into his soul.
“Why’d you call me cute?” Katsuki sputtered out.
“Because,” the man averted his eyes. “You are.”
Katsuki growled at the loss of eye contact and pulled the man’s face back towards him. He knew then and there he wanted to stare into those hues for the rest of his life.
“I’m not really good at shit like this, but,” Katsuki’s voice lowered. “I think you’re really cute too.”
“Is that why you were watching me?”
The hope twinkling in the elf’s eyes from such a statement sent Katsuki’s heart into an explosion of warmth as if he’d had dynamite stored inside him all along. Is this what love at first sight meant?
“What’s your name elf boy?”
“Izuku.”
The man’s giggles sent more arrows through his heart. Yup he was done. “I’m Katsuki.”
“Mister Katsuki, could I have your number? Cause I gotta get back to work but I’d love to call you later.”
“Pfft cut the mister part and why are you working at such a silly place?”
“Oh,” Izuku grew sheepish, “I needed the extra money to buy Christmas gifts. I don’t have much since I’m still in college.”
“Like how much?”
“Um, I saw a pair of earrings I think my mom would like, so this last paycheck should give me enough for it.”
“A store in the mall?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Get up,” he pulled Izuku to his feet. “Let’s go get it.”
“Wait!” He pulled back. “I can’t afford it yet.”
“It’s for your mom, and I can.”
“N-no, I can’t except such a gift.”
“Look, Izuku my parents own the jewelry store here and—“
“You’re a Bakugou?!”
“Shh, don’t shout that shit! Just call me Santa.”
Izuku shook his head. “I can’t accept that, w-we just met and—“
“I won’t take no for an answer.” He tipped Izuku’s chin up. “The fact you care so much about your mom makes me like you even more. Just say you’ll be my boyfriend, that’s all I wanna hear.”
“You want me to be your boyfriend?” Izuku’s words wisp out. “Is this all a dream?”
Katsuki chuckled. “One that came true maybe. Look, if it makes you feel better, my mom will be so happy I have a boyfriend she’ll probably give you anything you want in the store.”
That brings a giggle back out of Izuku. “Mine will too. Okay.” He smiled and let pot a long exhale. “I’d love to be your boyfriend. But I really should go back to work, they need me—“
“Nope,” Katsuki takes his hand and starts walking towards the jewelry store. “No boyfriend of mine works as an elf.”
“But Kacchan,” he pouts, “I don’t wanna crush the kids dreams. Let me finish the shift at least.”
“Ugh, fine.” Katsuki grumbled though the smile never left his face. “Find me at the store when your done.”
“Okay!” Izuku beamed, kissing Katsuki’s cheek before rushing off to work.
Katsuki touched the warm spot left behind on his skin and smiled. This little green-haired elf was his perfect opposite in every way and everything about him made him smile. Maybe he should thank Eijiro for daring him that day...
Nah!

Having Frankie basically live with you had turned out to be one of the best decisions you’d ever made. You both made each other happy and better, in a sense. Was this what you had been missing all this time?
“Where’d you go?” Frankie asked as you two laid in bed facing each other. You didn’t notice yourself getting lost in thought.
“Sorry. Just thinking.”
“About?” He took your hand and laced his fingers with yours.
“You.” You kissed his nose.
“Good stuff I hope…or naughty stuff.” He wiggled his eyebrows and you giggled.
“I save the naughty stuff for my dreams,” you told him.
His face lit up. “You have dreams about me?”
“Have you seen yourself? You’re pretty fucking dreamy, sir.” Seeing his face slowly flush made you smile. “I always have dreams about you but I like the real thing better.”
“In your dreams I’m probably built like some Greek god or something.”
“Nope. You’re just the way you are: perfect.” You played with the V-shaped part of his shirt. “Especially in this shirt.”
“Well, good thing you’re wearing the shirt I was actually planning on wearing today, huh?” He looked down at your bare thighs. “It’s a really good thing.”
“Didn’t feel like getting dressed today but I might have to.”
“Why?”
“Gotta get groceries. I have stuff that I like but we need to get some of your favorite things.” You scratched at his beard.
“I got my favorite thing right…here!” He pulled you on top of him making you yelp.
“That may be so but you can’t…eat…I’m gonna stop myself there.”
“You walked right into that one, baby,” he chuckled.
“Shut up.” You kissed him and he groaned quietly. He kissed back for a while then pulled away, frowning. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m…only gonna be here for about another week then…” You put a finger to his lips.
“I know. I don’t want to think about it, okay? Now, let’s go shopping.” You slid off him and put your own clothes on. “You can have your shirt back now,” you joked.
“Nah. You like this shirt on me so much, I’ll keep it on.”
“That’s the opposite of what I want you to do,” you flirted.
“Keep talking like that and we’ll never make it to the store.” He put his hat on and waited for you to finish getting dressed so he could walk downstairs with you.
“You wanna drive?” you asked as he put his aviators on.
“You sure?”
“Yeah. Gives me a chance to stare at you all I want.” You handed him the keys to your car and walked to the front door, opening it. “Why are you looking at me like that?” you asked.
“I just love how the sun shines down on you.”
“You’re turning into more of a romantic every day, Frankie.” You took his hand and walked outside with him.
“Is that bad?”
“Not at all.” He opened the cat door for you. “Thank you, sir.” When he gets into the car and removes his sunglasses, you take them from him and put them on.
“I could just get you your own you know.”
“I like wearing yours,” you told him as he started the car and slowly pulled onto the road.
“What’s the deal with that?” he asked. “Why do women like wearing our stuff so much?”
“I dunno. I can’t really speak for all women but when I wear your stuff, I feel…so warm and cozy. Plus, it smells like you.”
“Smells like me? I have a smell?”
You nodded. “I think it’s the soap you use. Or maybe it’s just you. It’s nice. Your pillow smells like you now too.”
“You’ve been sniffing my pillow?”
“Shut up. You make it sound weird like you’ve never smelled something that I’ve worn!” You punched his arm and he laughed. “How did I ever live without that?”
“Hm?”
“Hearing that laugh every day. Hearing your voice. Seeing you smile. Gosh…I’m in love, huh?” Yeah, you really were.
“If you don’t stop, I will pull this car over and make out with you on the side of the road.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing.” You looked ahead again and noticed he was driving in the direction of your favorite store. “How’d you know which store I wanted to go to?”
“You keep some of the bags from the store for garbage and stuff. Kinda guessed from that.” He shrugged like it was nothing but it was everything. Your ex-husband probably couldn’t even tell you that.
Frankie pulled into the parking lot and parked in the first spot he found. “You’re not gonna try to find one a little closer?”
“Why?” He grabbed the keys and got out of the car then walked to your side to open the door for you. “Let’s go, lazybones.”
*
Inside the store, Frankie refused to put anything in the cart until he asked if it was okay with you.
“Frankie, if you ask me that one more time I will scream. Just put it in the damn cart. Whatever you want!” You hadn’t realized that this might have been the very first time anyone has done something like this for him. “I wanna get you these things, okay?”
“Okay.” He still hesitated though. “I’m not used to…”
“I know.”
“I never really lived with anyone either…except for my parents and, you know, during my army years.” He grabbed a box of cereal and threw it in the cart without asking.
“Ah, you’re getting the hang of it. Can you grab me a box of-"
“Lucky Charms? Yes ma’am.” He put the box in the cart and smiled at you. “If I remember correctly, you only eat the marshmallows.”
“I don’t think I could love you any more than I already do,” you said then kissed him, forgetting you were in the aisle of a grocery store until someone cleared their throat. You both jumped and smiled shyly as you moved out of the way.
“I think we’re finished,” Frankie said, looking into the cart.
“Yeah, let’s go.”
*
You let Frankie drive again and when he saw you reaching for the radio he groaned.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” you asked, offended.
“Just…don’t play anything bad.”
“Nothing I listen to is bad, okay?” You pushed a few more icons on the console but Frankie stopped you.
“No way. Here.” He let go of the steering wheel and you reached over to grab it and keep the car on the road. Luckily, this stretch of road was always pretty empty.
“Jesus, Frankie…you better pick something good.”
“You said nothing you listen to is bad, right? So, hush and let me…pick…ha!” The music began to play and Frankie took over driving again. You turned and looked at him in shock as he started singing along.
“Oh, she may be weary. Them young girls they do get wearied wearing that same old shaggy dress, yeah…”
“Oh my God, Frankie,” you giggled. He was really into it.
“But when she gets weary…try a little tenderness… You know she’s waiting, anticipating the thing that you’ll never, never, never, never possess…”
“Oh, you possess something, alright,” you joked, shaking your head in surprise before singing along.
“But while she’s there waiting without them…try a little tenderness. That’s all you gotta do…”
You laughed and sung along but mostly watched him. You had never seen him this way and it was such a beautiful thing. He was able to be himself around you and it brought tears to your eyes. So carefree, so handsome, so…yours.
“Wait, wait…this is the best part,” he said holding his hand up and singing. “You’ve got to rub her gentle man, all you gotta do. You gotta love her, squeeze her, don’t tease her. Gotta try na na na…try a little tenderness!” He was singing his heart out.
“Woooo!” you cheered before laughing so hard tears rolled down your cheeks. You clapped as the song ended and he smiled brightly.
“How was that?” he asked.
“I had no idea you had it in you.”
“I’m full of surprises, huh?” he smiled over at you.
“You sure are.”
He pulled up to your place and turned the car off sitting there quietly for a minute. You wanted to pick his brain, but you would let him talk when he was ready.
“I need a picture of you,” he said suddenly.
“You have some on your phone…”
“No, I mean like an actual picture that I can hold and…I want one to carry with me when…” His hands dropped from the steering wheel.
“I’m sure I can find one.” You tried to think of a way to cheer him up again. “I hope you know that whatever you leave here is mine for the taking. I’m wearing all of your clothes! I might even drive your truck.”
“Hey, you break it you buy it.” He smiled then took your hand and kissed it. “I miss you already. Is that weird?”
“Nope. I miss you too.” You got up on your knees and leaned over the center console to kiss him.
“Can I have my shades back now?”
You pouted and took them off. “Fine.” He gave you another quick kiss before taking the glasses from you, putting them on, then getting out of the car. You followed and grabbed what few bags he left to carry into the house.
“Show off,” you called to him as you walked to the door to unlock it. “You know I could’ve carried more.”
“I know but I didn’t want you to.” He walked into the house, kicked his shoes off, and carried the bags to the kitchen.
“Are you trying to be my prince charming or are you just like this naturally?” you asked as you wrapped yourself around him as he put the groceries away.
“Treating a woman the way she’s supposed to be treated is not some fairytale shit.”
“You’d be surprised, my dear.” You helped put the groceries away then lounged on the couch. “I’m tired.”
“Go upstairs and rest,” Frankie said taking his hat off and throwing it on the coffee table.
“Come with me?”
“Yeah, I’ll be there in a minute.”
*
You’re not sure how long you had been asleep by the time Frankie joined you but by the time you woke up, he was wrapped around you sleeping. You couldn’t move and felt hot. If this had been anyone else, you would’ve shrugged them off or woke them up to give you some space but it was Frankie and you never wanted him to move. He held onto you as if you might float away if he let go. His quiet snores made you smile.
He moved his arm for a minute to scratch at his beard so you turned quickly to face him before he wrapped it around you again. God, was he handsome. You kissed his nose and a hint of a smile appeared on his lips. He smiled in his sleep? Now you were positive he was your prince charming.
You laid like this for a while until you realized you had to use the bathroom. You hated to move and risk waking him up but you had to go. Carefully and quietly, you wriggled yourself out of his arms and rolled off the bed.
It wasn’t until you were standing at the sink washing your hands that you noticed something. You looked at yourself in the mirror and there was a chain hanging from your neck. You dried your hands and turned the water off before getting a better look at it.
One of Frankie’s dog tags.
When did he put this on you? You ran your thumb over the metal, feeling the etchings of every letter. It was a little worn and bent, but that made you love it more. It showed you what he had been through. He was also worn, tattered, beat up even, but he stood the test of time and pain. A tear fell onto it and you wiped it away.
“It wasn’t supposed to make you cry,” Frankie said standing in the doorway of the bathroom.
“When did you give me this?” you asked, sniffling.
“While you slept. I wanted you to have something from me.” He walked into the bathroom and stood behind you, wrapping his arms around you.
“You’ve already given me everything I could ever want, Frankie.”
“You deserve the world though and I’m gonna try my best to give it to you,” he kissed the top of your head and closed his eyes.
“Don’t you know? You are my world.” You turned to him and kissed his nose. It was your favorite thing to do now. “You smile in your sleep.”
“I do?” he asked and you nodded. “Must’ve been dreaming about you then.”
“I think it’s because I kissed this cute little nose of yours.” You poked it.
“My nose is cute?” He looked at himself in the mirror. “You might need glasses.”
“Gimme yours then.”
“I meant prescription glasses. Nice try though.”
“I’ll get ‘em one day.” His grip on you loosened and you inched away from him. “Maybe today.”
“Don’t even try it…”
“I’m faster than you.” You were standing in the doorway now.
“Yeah, probably, but I can pick you up and throw you over my shoulder and stop this before it even happens.” He walked towards you and you kept backing away.
“Oh yeah?” He nodded and you continued. “But there’s something you gotta do before that happens.”
“Is there?”
“You have to catch me first!” You ran as fast as you could out the room and downstairs with Frankie not far behind. Just as you reached into his jacket pocket, he grabbed you with a growl and spun you around. “I got ‘em!”
“Drop them and I’ll let you go,” he said, breathing heavily.
“Maybe I don’t want you to let me go,” you teased as you wiggled against him and put the glasses on. He started to kiss your neck and you relaxed. “That’s…you’re cheating.”
“Deal with it.” He took the glasses off you and put them on before letting you go. You looked at him and pouted. “Like I said: nice try.”
You stuck your tongue out at him and laid down on the couch.
“Did you just…”
“Maybe I did.” You pretended to ignore him, turning your head so you wouldn’t look at him but suddenly he was on you, kissing your face and your neck but tickling you at the same time. “Frankie!” You squealed and laughed and tried pushing him off but he didn’t budge.
He eventually stopped but stayed on top of you. He pulled the glasses down his nose so he could look into your eyes. “You started it.”
“Whatever.” You grabbed his face and kissed him. He laid there with you for a while, catching his breath before rolling to the side so you could move if you wanted. You played with the dog tag he gave you.
“Keep that safe for me?” he asked.
“Always.”
He put the glasses on you then kissed your nose this time.

And away, and away we go!
__
Y/N spotted Calum easily as he tried to look as inconspicuous as possible in a plain black t-shirt, blue jeans, a hat covering his head of curls, and sunglasses pushed up on his face. “Hey, you! How was your flight?” he greeted as he wrapped his cousin in a hug.
“Long, but worth it to be here,” she grinned, returning the embrace with the same amount of warmth as the bright LA sun outside. “You fuckin’ take a page from the Avengers? You know this disguise is shit, right?”
“If I learned one thing from all the covid nonsense, it’s actually that this shit disguise works surprisingly well.”
“In covid we covered the lower half of our faces, ya dingus.”
“Works the same either way. Half the face covered is half the face covered. You check any bags?”
“Nah, I crammed as much shit as I could in my carry on and backpack.”
“Sweet, let’s roll.”
“So, you like living here in LA?” she asked as they made their way to his car.
“Yeah. Kinda hard not to. Nice weather. Good people. So, I know you’re here to look at houses and stuff, but Mum didn’t explain to me why you’re moving here. She was just like ‘pick up your cousin from the airport and be good’ like I was just gonna leave you to fend for yourself or some shit.”
Y/N laughed. “While I definitely appreciate you picking me up, and letting me stay with you this week, I’ll kick your ass if you start babying me. You may be taller, but I’m still older than you.”
Calum laughed along. “That’s what I told Mum but, she wouldn’t listen. I was like Y/N’s a big girl, she doesn’t need a chaperone.”
“That’s Aunt Joy for ya though. She misses you. We all do. Well except me, of course.”
Calum snorted as he clicked the unlock button on his car. “Yeah, I miss everyone but you too, so I guess we’re even. But what was it that sent you here?”
“Job relocation. Well… sort of.”
“What do you mean sort of?” he asked as he placed her suitcase in the backseat, the backpack following.
“So I’ve been doing a lot more freelance work since my job’s been fucking me around since day one. And I finally said fuck it, I’m gonna make my own business. So while I’m here to look at apartments and shit, I’m also here to scout out business locations looking to rent out space.”
“Well shit, why didn’t you tell me before now?” he asked as they got in the front seat. “Moving’s expensive. Starting your own business is expensive. Living here is expensive. Doing all that shit at once? Geez, you a secret millionaire?”
“You’re not the only successful one, Cal. I make good money.”
“You know I don’t mean it like that. I just meant that you could’ve told me what was really going on. So that way I could’ve put you in contact with Andy and Sarah already, cuz they probably know some people who can help you out. Hell you can help them out by freelancing for them. They work too damn hard, they could definitely use the extra help. Plus you’re fuckin good at what you do. And I could’ve also told you that you don’t need to bother looking for a place cuz you could just stay with me.”
“That’s exactly why I didn’t tell you, Cal. I wanna do this on my own.”
“I’m not saying you gotta live with me forever, Y/N. I’m just saying you can while you focus all your energy and resources on what really matters which is getting your business up and running. Plus, I know you’re gonna pick like the most cheapass, run-down studio apartment anyway because you’re gonna justify it by saying you’re just there to sleep anyway. So why spend any money on some shitty apartment when you can just stay at my nice, nonshitty house for free instead? I mean, you’re only there to sleep basically right?”
Y/N’s eyes narrowed. She hated that he knew her so well. “There’s no way you’re letting this go until I agree to move in with you, is there?”
“Not a one.”
“Fine. But only until I get my business off the ground. Once that’s up and running, I’m getting my own place.”
“A decent place,” Calum pushed.
“A decent place,” she agreed with an eye roll. “I’ll even splurge for an actual bedroom.”
“You got yourself a deal.”
“You got yourself a roommate.”
~~~
Michael couldn’t keep his eyes off Y/N. He knew he wasn’t supposed to stare. A.) Staring was rude, and he wasn’t a rude person. And B.) Calum was his best and longest friend, and Y/N was his cousin which made her inexplicably off-limits. But there was something so tempting about wanting someone you knew you couldn’t have. And it didn’t help matters that every time he caught himself looking her way, she was already watching him.
“I’m Michael,” he introduced stupidly when they both ended up in Calum’s kitchen by themselves.
“I know,” she grinned. “We already did introductions, remember?”
His cheeks flushed pink, and one of his hands rubbed at the back of his neck. “Right. Yeah. H-how long did you say you’re staying with Cal for?”
“Well originally I was only gonna be here for a week while I sorted things out. But Cal’s… strong-willed about things. So I’m staying with him indefinitely while I get sorted instead.”
“Mmm, right. With your new business and everything. So you’ll be around quite a bit, huh?”
“Loads,” she nodded with a flirtatious smile. “And I’ll probably be lonely. I don’t really know anyone here besides Cal. His friends seem nice though. And one of them’s really cute.”
Michael breathed deeply, and even from the small distance between them she could feel his hot exhale on her skin. “We can’t,” he sighed in defeat.
“Says who?”
“Says like every bro code.”
“Are you saying you don’t want this as badly as I do?”
“Want it so bad,” Michael admitted, his voice a low whimper. His green eyes looked around. While nobody from outside was peering in, they were still in everyone’s line of sight if someone happened to glance their way. Which meant that they only had two options, neither of which led to what they really wanted which was to slink away from the party without raising suspicion. “But we can’t. Not now, anyway. Not here.”
“Right. I don’t want to make anything weird between you and Cal. Or between me and him. And we don’t even know what we are. Maybe this is just an infatuation that’ll run its course if we don’t play into it.”
“Maybe it’s not,” Michael countered. “God, I hope it’s not, cuz I really want to play into this.”
“Me too. God, I hope you’re right.”
“Hope he’s right about what?” Calum asked, as he came in through the sliding glass door.
“Uh, my business!” she blurted. “Mike was just telling me that he thinks it’s gonna do really well here cuz I’ll be able to get more connections with your help and stuff.”
Calum hummed in response. “Mike’s right ya know. Like you already did the scary part of moving out here. The rest is just doing your job. Which you already know how to do, and you do it very well I might add.”
Michael let out the breath he’d been holding as Calum disappeared off to the bathroom. “Fuck, that was close. You think pretty good on your feet.”
Y/N chuckled nervously. “Thanks. God, he scared the shit out of me, and we weren’t even doing anything.”
“Backing out?” Michael asked with a twinge of a challenge to mask the underlying brace for rejection.
“We’re fucked if we get caught.”
“So fucked.”
“Guess we better not get caught then.”
Michael grinned.
~~~
She smirked at the message. A painful month of sneaking behind her cousin’s back, and she only wanted the man with wild trouble in those piercing green eyes more with each hidden touch. Needed him the same way Michael needed her. From the doorway, Calum wolf-whistled at the outfit lying on the bed: a slinky black dress with a slit in the thigh, and a matching black lace bra and panty set. “Going somewhere?” he questioned in amusement.
“Yes!” Y/N said with indignation. “Not that it’s any of your business.”
Calum chuckled, raising his hands in surrender. “I didn’t mean it as a bad thing. It’s good that you’re going out. You going out with friends, or a guy?”
“Friends,” she lied.
“That’s a hell of a dress for a girls’ night out,” he chuckled again. “You could tell me if it was a guy, ya know. We’re not little kids. I’m not gonna be shocked if you’re getting laid. Be a little worried if you weren’t in all honesty.”
She bit into her lower lip, wondering briefly if it was better to come clean now. Y/N decided on half-admittance. “Alright, it’s a guy. But we’re still in that figuring it out stage. Enjoying each other’s company.”
“Yeah, I bet you are,” Calum smirked.
“Shut up,” she laughed. “And get out so I can finish getting ready.”
“He picking you up?”
She shook her head. “No, we’re meeting up at the bar.”
“So, you’re driving?”
“Relax, spazz. I’m taking an Uber. No drinking and driving here.”
“Good. And hey, do me one small favor?”
“Sure. What is it?”
“Go back to his place. Don’t bring him here. Rather spare myself the mental image.”
“I wouldn’t dream of bringing him here, you’re good.”
“Good, good. And hey, if he ends up not enjoying your time anymore A.) he’s an idiot, especially if you’re meeting him dressed in that. And B.) Call me, and I’ll come get ya. No matter the time.”
“Thanks, Cal. Now seriously leave.”
20 minutes after Michael asked to meet in 15 minutes, she was climbing into his car. “Geez, what took you so long?” he questioned, leaning across the seat to press a heated and bruising kiss to Y/N’s lips.
“Cal walked by when I was getting ready. You know for the quiet one, he really doesn’t ever shut up.”
“Shit, think he’s getting suspicious?”
“Nah. I mean I told him I was sort of seeing somebody. But I don’t think he thinks it’s you.”
“Sort of seeing somebody, huh?” Under a passing streetlight, she could see the corner of his lips pull up in a smirk. “You can call me your boyfriend if you want.”
“Oh, is that what you are?” she teased.
Michael chuckled. “I mean not to be heavy, but we’ve been seeing each other a while now. I think this is becoming something more than passing infatuation. I’m not seeing anyone else besides you. I don’t want to see anyone besides you. But if you don’t want to label this because of Cal or whatever, I can respect that.”
“No, no,” she said, softly, fingers tracing across the thick tattooed band on his arm. “I’d like that. Plus, might make telling Cal easier? So we can stop sneaking around? Not that I haven’t loved this. But, I’d really like to not act like we don’t know each other around company.”
His hand brought hers to his lips to stamp kisses over it as he pulled into his driveway. “We’ll tell him soon. Until then, I’m gonna enjoy keeping you to myself.” His gaze turned to take her in, his next breath catching in his throat. “Fuck… Did I tell you how stunning you look, yet? Or was I too busy griping about Cal holding you up like an ass?”
Her cheeks blushed. “Too busy griping. But that’s okay.”
“I think I can think of a way or two to make it up to you.”
“Oh, is that so? Do tell.”
“I think showing you might be more appropriate.”
She shuddered at his words. “Humor me anyway?”
“Let’s just say if my neighbors don’t know me already, they certainly will by tomorrow, because I am going to thoroughly enjoy familiarizing myself with every inch of your skin. And listening to how good my name sounds rolling off your tongue, and how good yours tastes on mine.”
How they managed to make their way inside the house was a mystery to them both as hands tangled in hair, and tongues explored mouths and the column of the other’s throat. Teeth nipped skin, as Y/N’s fell back onto the couch, and Michael marked a path down her body. “Pretty,” his voice taunted from underneath the skirt of her dress as he snapped the waistband of her panties, before pulling them down and off her legs, spitting the lace fabric out of his mouth.
“M-Mike,” she panted, her back arching, searching for him.
“Aw,” he taunted more, his face inches from hers. “You can do better than that. C’mon, I’m sure I got a few neighbors who don’t know who I am yet. Don’t you want to tell them my name, pretty girl?”
“Mike!” The repetition of his name was louder, the desperation in her voice stronger as her fingers wrapped around his wrist and guided him towards where she needed him.
As they surrendered themselves to each other, their names mingled together in the air like the most profanity-riddled melody, each of them certain that by the time daylight broke through the curtains, the neighborhood not only knew his name, but hers as well.
~~~
Michael tiptoed around the clothes scattered on the floor as he made his way to the dresser, a wide smile plastered on his face. Their first bout that had shook the foundation of the house had led to them curled up on the couch, whispering the sweet promises of budding love against each other’s skin, before retiring to the bedroom. Which then led to a much slower love making of hot moans panted against heated skin, fingers intertwined, and locked gazes swirling with desire, love, lust, and passion. Afterwards exhaustion set in, and they fell asleep in a tangled web of limbs and bedsheets.
He’d woken up, sure that this had all been a dream, but much to his delight, she was still sleeping soundly in his arms. And after waking her up, he was grabbing her some clothes to put on before joining her in the shower. Or he would have if someone wasn’t banging on his front door.
Confused, he made his way to the front of the house, pulling the front door open to find Ashton, Calum, and Luke on the other side. “See? I told you guys we should’ve waited until he responded,” Luke said with a shake of his head.
“Aw, who gives a shit?” Calum asked rhetorically, shouldering his way past a still confused Michael to get inside the house.
“Uh? What are you guys doing here?” Michael asked, stepping out of the way as Ashton and Luke followed Calum inside.
“Saturdays are for the boys, remember?” Ashton grinned.
“Yeah, but like… did we have actual plans? I- sorry… still waking up.”
“Long night?” Calum teased with a smirk.
“I’ll say,” Luke answered, blue eyes zeroed in on a pair of panties half-wedged between a couch cushion. “You got a girlfriend, Mikey?”
“Holy shit!” Ashton choked, giggling at the sight of Michael with his face frozen in terror. “Is she still here? Is that why you’re so jumpy, mate? Ya got your girlfriend hidden somewhere in your mini mansion?”
“I- What? Pffft, no!” Michael sputtered, grabbing the panties and balling them up in his fist, his green eyes looking wildly at Calum for any indication that his friend might be on to him.
Calum misinterpreted the look as a plea to step in on Michael’s defense. “Aw, leave him be guys. We should be celebrating that he’s finally getting back out there, not giving him shit for it. So when are we gonna meet the girl? When she comes back to claim her lost panties? Or should we leave to not embarrass the poor girl, and meet her some other time?”
“That,” Michael chimed in, “is a great idea, Cal. You guys should leave, because this is part of a matching set, so I’m sure she’ll be by the moment she realizes, and she’ll probably be embarrassed enough as is. So it might be best if you guys aren’t around when that happens. No offense.”
“Matching set?” Calum asked with a raised eyebrow and Michael gulped. “Damn, that girl knew what she was doing.”
The green-eyed blonde chuckled nervously. “Heh, yeah. She’s really cool. I like spending time with her. We’re still kinda figuring some stuff out, but I’ll be sure to bring her around s-”
“Hey, Mike? Have you seen my pa- oh fuck!”
“Y/N!” Calum thundered, jumping to his feet, while Ashton and Luke sucked in their breath and Michael and Y/N looked like a couple of deer trapped in headlights. “The guy you’re seeing is Mike?! You’re fucking my cousin?! And I’m finding this out now?! How long has this been happening?!”
“Maybe now’s not the time to ask questions,” Y/N hissed, trying to make herself as small as possible as she clutched the large towel around her like a lifeline.
“GET DRESSED!” Calum barked, his mind racing.
Michael and Y/N bolted to his bedroom, Ashton’s and Luke’s unrestrained laughter finally breaking free in the background while Calum screeched at them that “IT’S NOT FUNNY!”
“It’s a little funny,” was the barely audible response between wheezes and gasps for air.
Behind the closed door in the safety of the bedroom, Michael and Y/N shared a frantic look. “Well… that wasn’t the way I pictured that going in my head,” Y/N mumbled as she pulled the shirt Michael offered her on over her bra.
“Luke found your underwear,” he mumbled back, handing her the wadded up lace. “Sorry, I wrinkled it.”
“It’s fine,” she told him, stepping into them and then taking the offered gym shorts and stepping into those as well while he pulled on a pair of grey sweats over his boxers. “Hey,” she said softly, reaching up to cup his face and focus his frazzled mind on her. “We’re fine. Right?”
He gave her a small smile, relaxing at her touch. “We’re more than fine,” he nodded, kissing her forehead, each of her cheeks, her nose, and then finally her lips. “I still want you. And if Cal can’t deal with that… well… I…”
“Shh, don’t think about it. Cal’s not gonna care. Just gotta let the shock wear off, first.”
He nodded, his forehead resting against hers, green eyes searching for any kind of hope that they weren’t about to self-destruct; that if it really came down to it, they’d at least hesitate to choose Calum over the other. “I’m so sorry,” he whispered, a tear sliding down his cheek despite his best efforts at self control. “This is all my fault. I- I just need you to know that this wasn’t a fleeting moment of infatuation for me. That I-“
“Ssssshhhhh,” she soothed, her thumb rubbing across his cheekbone. “Don’t do this. Don’t say goodbye before we have to.”
They slowly crept their way back to the living room, finding Calum in full interrogation mode. “Did you two know?” he was asking Ashton and Luke, whose bodies were still shaking from barely controlled laughter.
“Hand to God, we didn’t know,” Ashton swore.
“Honest,” Luke agreed before both men sputtered into a new fit of giggles.
Calum’s eyes narrowed, not sure what to believe as he turned on his heel, coming face-to-face with Michael. “Did they know?” he demanded.
“No. Nobody knew,” Michael told him.
“So what? Are you embarrassed to be with her, or something? Are you embarrassed to be with him?” The brown eyes shifted back and forth between the couple.
“No,” it was Y/N’s turn to answer. “We just didn’t want to come to you guys with the news before we figured out what we were to each other first.”
“And what are you to each other?”
“We’re dating.”
“And how long has this been going on?”
“About a month.”
“So, the whole time? Great… You’re a real pal, Mike.”
“Oh, leave him alone,” Y/N defended. “Like you go blabbing to the world whenever you start to get to know someone? No. You wait until you’re sure it’s not just a fleeting moment. Gimme a break, Cal.”
“So… this is like… for real then? You actually like like each other, and shit?”
“We really do,” Michael nodded.
“I see… Hey, Y/N?”
“Yeah?”
“Remember what I told you last night about not bringing the guy you were seeing home because I’d rather not have that mental image?”
“Yeah. What about it? Change your mind?” she teased.
Calum gagged. “Fuckin’ God, no! If you’re gonna insist on fucking Mike, do it as far away from me as possible. Also if you want to move out sooner, totally fine with that.”
Michael blinked in confusion. “Wait? You’re cool with this? With us?”
Calum shrugged. “If you make each other happy, you make each other happy. Not my place to tell you who you can and can’t date. But,” Calum’s tone changed to be as menacing as possible as he glowered at Michael, “break her heart, and it’ll be the last thing you ever do.”
“What if she breaks mine?” Michael countered.
Calum laughed. “Then I’ll help you pick up the pieces, while secretly wondering what she ever saw in you because let’s face it, she’s too good for you.”
“I’d be more offended if you weren’t totally right.”
Float (fred x reader)
note: Totally did not intend for this to be that long.
summary: You are a professional Quidditch player. You and your best friend transfer to Hogwarts and meet Fred and George Weasley.
"Hogwarts?! Mom, you can't be serious!" You said. "I'm sorry dear but the next expedition is in England." Your father sighed. "Come on! I'm a professional player I can't just leave!" You said. "Dumbledore said he'd allow you to professionally play for your house." Your mother said. You huffed leaning back into your seat. "Plus, with your insanity I think they'll find you refreshing. It's not like you'll be the only one there, Lizzie is going with you." Your father reminded. It did help that your best friend was going with you to England after throwing a "bitch fit" for being possibly separated from you. "'my insanity' has a name. The Quidditch Free Fall." You reminded. "Yes we're aware of the name dear, it doesn't stop it from being terrifying!" Your mother said. "I didn't time it right once!" You sighed. "And you broke your wrist!" Your father said. The Quidditch Free Fall was made when you went a ridiculous height to spot a snitch and actually jumped off your broom, hitting the ground with it in your mouth. The actual move though, became a move you'd use regularly where you'd resummon the broom so you wouldn't it the ground but land back on your broom.
You sat in the car with Lizzy, looking at the English Architecture around you. "....Excited?" Lizzie asked. ".... As long as I can play quidditch I think I'll be fine." You admitted. "You only think about Quidditch Y/n... What about boysss?" She asked. You rolled your eyes. "Whatever. They're so... Annoying to me." You laughed. "Because at ilvermorny pranksters were... Bleh?" She asked. "Okay, firepoppers on a toilet seat is funny, how did no one find that funny!?" You asked. "Again. Ilvermorny. No sense of humor." She reminded. "You better not get into more trouble Y/n." Your mother sighed as they pulled into King's Cross. "alright! Alright...." You lied. Lizzie saw that glint of "oh I know I'm going to fuck shit up" in your eyes making her roll her eyes and look away. You got your things, running through the wall after hugging your parents goodbye. You and Lizzie exchanged a "holy shit that's cool" look after seeing the Hogwarts Express. You got on the train, sitting in an empty cart as Lizzie read. The door slid open and you looked over. "My bad! Thought my brother was in here, turns out it's just two beautiful girls." The boy flirted. You snorted. "Tell me that line hasn't worked." You said. ".... You're American?" He asked. "Oh really? What gave it away?" Lizzie asked sarcastically making you snort. "FRED. RUN." A identical boy said. "What did you do?" Fred asked. "PUT TREVOR IN DRACO'S BAG." he said. "WEASLEY!" you heard a shout from the other side of the train and you smirked. So they're pranksters... Oh you were so going to love these guys. "Hide in here." You suggested. George didn't hesitate, sitting down immediately and picking up a vacant newspaper to cover his face. Fred sat next to you. "I'm Y/n." You introduced. "Fred. And that's George." Fred motioned to his brother. You handed him a newspaper and he took it, following his brother's idea. A blonde boy soon opened the door. "HAVE YOU SEEN TWO RED HAIRED DEMONS!?" Draco asked. "No?" You responded confused. "They can't hide forever!" He growled before walking away. The second the door slid back, the cart erupted into laughter. "I feel like I recognize you." George finally said after you all recovered from laughing. "I'm a professional quidditch player." You admitted. "Oh shit, you're the Free Faller!" George said. "Yep!" You nodded. "Wicked." Fred nodded. "what about you?" George asked. "I'm just the best friend that tries to keep her out of trouble. She's like you two. A troublemaker." Lizzie said. Fred's interest was peaked. "A trouble maker you say?" He asked. "Yep." You chuckled. "You like pranks?" George asked. "Love them." You answered. "You should stick with us then. You'll live on the edge of your seat!" Fred said. "Count me in. Actually I have a bit of an... Entrance planned." You said with a smirk. "Entrance?" George asked with a smile. "Y/n no." Lizzie said. "I want to and you can't stop me." You said sticking your tongue out. "What's the plan?" Fred asked. "I'm riding in on my broom." You said. "Oh that's cool! After all you're a--" "Quidditch player!" Fred, you and George said in unison with nods. "See they think it's cool!" You said lightly kicking Lizzie. "When you get in trouble I'm not bailing you out." She said. "Nah, Dumbledore would expect nothing less." George said. "Does she have a record?" Fred asked. "Not that big--" "Yes. It's like a fucking novel." Lizzie answered. "Then he's definitely not going to be surprised." George said.
When you two were later called to be introduced to Ravenclaw, Lizzie simply walked to the front. You sprinted forward, summoning your broom to your side and riding it to the front quickly and with style. "Damn it Y/n." Lizzie sighed as you hopped off with a chuckle. She picked an owl feather out of your hair and Dumbledore chuckled. "It is my pleasure to introduce Elizabeth Miles and Y/n L/n." He said. Everyone started talking. "The Y/n L/n!?" Ron asked. "Yep." You nodded. "Your houses were sorted when you visited last week, correct?" Dumbledore asked. You nodded, pointing to the table adorned with blue. "Ravenclaw." You said. "In advance I apologize for my best friend." Lizzie said to Dumbledore. "Any chance I can sit with Gryffindor because I met two kids there and I think they're cool?" You asked. "We don't mind interactions of separate houses. Go ahead." Dumbledore said. You walked over to Fred who had a smirk on his face. "Nice entrance." Fred said. "why thank you my dear." You said tipping a pretend hat to him. "So you're the professional player?" A boy asked. "Yep. Proud to be one." You said with a laugh. "This is my brother Ron, over there is my sister Ginny and these are my family friends Harry and Hermione." Fred said. "Yo." You waved. "Are you excited to be here?" Ginny asked. "Eh. I'm already enjoying the fact that there's two pranksters here. Ilvermorny had like zero sense of humor." You said. "I'm still trying to figure out a good prank." George said. "I'm thinking we screw up the sinks." You suggested. "Why's that?" Fred asked. "Weak pipes...a explosion and poof.... Water everywhere." You said with a smirk. "Fred... I love this girl." George said. "Meet us tomorrow at three... This is going to be bloody brilliant." Fred said with a chuckle. Sure enough. Around four, Snape tried to use the sink and bam... Water explosion while you were all waiting for him in potions. "What's taking him so long?" Lizzie asked. Fred exchanged a knowing glance with you before the door opened and he walked in soaked. You bit your lip, trying not to laugh. "...Due to... Complications... Class is cancelled." Snape said, dismissing everyone. You walked out, Fred, George and you all dying of laughter. "Poor Snape. Bastard looked ready to murder someone." Fred said with a laugh. You smiled... This guy had a nice laugh. "We couldn't have done it without the brains of Y/n!" George said putting a hand on your shoulder. You took a bow making them chuckle.
From that point on the duo became a trio. "The mischievous three" Mcgonagall called you. But with every prank, you seemed to get closer and closer to Fred. George noticed you two, exchanging laughs and smiles. He knew immediately that you two were bound to be something. Finally though, quidditch season started. You seemed to be bouncing that day, sharing the field with Gryffindor. "So. Miss professional." Wood said after laughing at a joke George made. "Would you mind showing us that move?" He asked. You shook your head. "My secret weapon? Now that's just wrong." You laughed. Fred smiled at your laughter making George smirk. "You're really good at flying." Harry said. "Thanks, took years to master. I used to be really crappy at it actually." You said. "Really?" George asked. "Oh yeah. I ran into everything, hurt myself really bad at one point. But I kept trying and eventually I wasn't so bad anymore." You shrugged. "How'd you become a professional?" Wood asked. "Went up against Durmstrang a few years ago and made a sonic boom." You said. "A what?" Harry asked. "It's when you basically move faster than the speed of sound and you send a shock through the air. Sounds like thunder." You explained. "And you did that?" Wood asked. "Yeah. The the professional spectators were really interested after that, next thing I knew I was basically signed on to do quidditch after school was finished and I would sometimes go to bigger games." You explained. "Wow." Fred said. "Yeah. Ilvermorny though... They're so.... Academic. Compared to here they're so... Boring." You shrugged. The next game, Harry got a taste of why you were a professional. You were quick for a seeker, but it's how high you'd go for that snitch that surprised everyone. The snitch was spotted 30 minutes into the game, you and Harry both going after it. It shot up though and you didn't stop until your broom couldn't take the height and just stopped flying. You almost seemed to run up the hilt before gripping the snitch and pushing off, away from the broom and rapidly falling towards the broom. People stood up, watching you fall and maintain the same position before screaming "UP!" and your broom shot out, you gripping it before almost hitting the ground, making the crowd erupt into cheers as you held the snitch. You didn't celebrate with Ravenclaw though, instead you hung out with Fred. "Congratulations Y/n. You weren't joking about that move." Fred said. "Yeah." You chuckled. "How'd you come up with that anyway?" Fred asked. "Well... I was in a particularly challenging match against the Thunderbirds. I was a seeker and so was this guy Jamie. So I was waiting to see the golden snitch when some girl hexed my broom. In the middle of the chaos I noticed the snitch and I had to think quick so..." "You let go." Fred nodded. "Exactly. After I did I didn't exactly do what I did earlier and resummoned my broom I actually ended up breaking my arm after hitting the ground." You said earning a wince from Fred. "What inspired you to make it a move though?" Fred asked. "something about the chaos of it seemed really appealing. making people think that I was falling rather than actually chasing after the snitch seemed like a good plan so.... I started to get really well acquainted with the broom that I was using at the time and before I knew it I was able to basically resummon it whenever I wanted to." You explained. "Smart. I'm beginning to understand why you're in Ravenclaw." He said earning a laugh from you. "I hope you're not upset over me winning..." You said. "Psh. That was epic, how could I possibly be mad at that. I just hope I live to see you do another sonic boom." He chuckled. "The last time I did it it was an accident and I don't know how to trigger another one." You admitted. "with how brilliant your brain is I guarantee you you could figure it out" Fred said making you blush. George sat down in front of you making you look at him. "So, what'd I miss?" He asked. "Congratulating Y/n on her win." Fred said. "Mmm. I've been thinking about our school trip." George said. "Trip?" You asked. "Yeah, we're going to Hogsmeade." Fred nodded. "What the hell is Hogsmeade?" You asked. "Small village. Really fun." George said.
Sure enough during the winter, it actually was. You spent it with the twins, laughing at stupid jokes and drinking butterbeer. You shivered at the snow and Fred wrapped his scarf around you, smiling as you blushed. You kept close to him the whole time, even having a snowball fight at one point. You had the best year of your life, pranks, friends, finally something new.
But your parents were ready to move. Again. "no." You said. "Y/n--" "me and Lizzie were given the opportunity to stay with someone else's family, please I don't want to leave again!" You snapped. Your mother sighed. "....Fine. who's the parents." She asked. So she sat down and asked Arthur and Molly if they'd take you two. Which they said yes. Because it's Molly. When would she ever say no? However now Fred was panicked. "WHAT THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO GEORGE?! MY CRUSH IS LIVING WITH ME!?" He asked frantically. "First off, calm down. Second off, maybe this is good. You're not exactly bad with girls Fred." George said. "I flirt, sure. But this is... This is different." Fred admitted. "How so?" Ginny asked, sitting on Fred's bed eating a cookie. "...I think I love her." He said making George gape and Ginny nearly drop her cookie. "You love her?" Ginny asked. "Maybe? And she's coming here tomorrow." Fred whined. "Well it's not like she's staying in here, she's bunking with me, along with Lizzie. She did say something weird in her letter though." Ginny said. "Wait, she wrote to you?" George asked. "Lizzie did. But she said Y/n had a surprise for all of us." Ginny said. "A love confession?" George asked, making Fred smack him. "She said all of us. Mum and Dad included." Ginny said. Sure enough, the next day you showed up with something in your hand. "What's that?" Fred asked after helping you with your bags. "Tickets." You said. "For what?" George asked. "The world Quidditch cup. I'm playing for Ireland." You said with a smirk. "....Wait so we're--" "Going to the big leagues!" Lizzie said enthusiastically. "HOLY CRAP!" Ron gaped. "annnnddd I even got extra tickets for Hermione and Harry." You said making Ron hug you. You giggled and Fred smiled.
So there you were, standing in a stadium practically shaking. You were in the big leagues now. You swallowed the forming lump in your throat before seeing Fred. You gave a him a smile and felt a surge of confidence before flying up. You versus Viktor Krum. You sat on your broom waiting patiently, occasionally moving out of the way for other players before you noticed something behind Viktor's head. You gripped your broom handle and shot down, following the snitch. He was on your tail, making you anxious as hell as the snitch flew up. You shot upwards, the snitch flying very high into the air. Fred watched you, knowing damn well you were going to do the "Free Fall". You went so high the broom literally seemed to just stop working as you ran up it's side and gripped the snitch before falling. Your broom was next to you, air seeming to bend around your body. That's when Fred realized what was about to happen. "COVER YOUR EARS!" He warned. Everyone near that heard him did, slightly confused before a loud noise sounded off, similar to a clap of thunder before you smirked, gripping your broom and finally returning to the normal position. You held up the snitch and the crowd roared. Course you couldn't hear anything because the noise made your ears ring, but when you finally returned to the tent you were smiling with a medal around your neck. "there's our champion!" Arthur said. Fred scooped you up into a hug and you smiled, squealing with a giggle. "I am on cloud nine right now! I can't believe I did it!" You said. "You made a sonic boom Y/n, that was the most extraordinary thing I've seen!" Hermione said. "Yeah, my ears were ringing for a while there." You admitted. "Everyone at Hogwarts is not going to shut up about this for a while." Lizzie chuckled. "Course not, not only is she the youngest player out there but she's also the reason they won." Ron said. "Makes me wish you were with Gryffindor... We're really screwed when we have to go up against you." Harry said. "Nah, you keep me on my toes Potter." You said with a chuckle. "Dad will probably want your autograph. Mind if you sign this?" Harry asked, holding a notepad. "What's your dad's name again?" You asked. "James." Harry nodded. "To James. Thanks for giving me a cool brother." You wrote making Harry smile as you ruffled his hair. "Excuse me." A voice said making you all turn. "Viktor... Krum." Ron gaped. "Hello. Uh.... English is not my first language forgive me." He apologized. "Hello." You nodded. "I just want to say, I look forward to going to school with you this year." He said. "What?" Everyone asked. "The Triwizard tournament is at Hogwarts this year, yes I heard." Arthur said. "Yes... Hopefully we will work with you miss Y/n." He said. "Good game Krum. You did amazing out there." You said shaking his hand. He seemed fixated on Hermione though, making you smile. "Hermione! This is Viktor Krum. Talk." You said, pushing her forward. "Uhm... Hello?" She said confused. Fred chuckled as you sat down. "I still cannot believe I won." You said. "I can. I knew you could do Y/n." Fred said sitting next to you at the table. "I was so nervous the whole time... I'm just glad you guys came. It would've sucked if you didn't." You said. "why didn't your parents come?" Arthur asked. "They're archeologists sir, they do scientific work across the world... They're in Egypt this year it's why they couldn't be here." You admitted. Fred smiled and put his hand over yours. "We're proud of you Y/n." He said sincerely making you blush. Arthur smiled and got up, leaving you two alone. "So what do you want to do?" Fred asked. "hmm... I saw Draco here... Think we can fuck with him?" You asked. "Oh absolutely. George!" Fred said with a laugh. George walked over, noticing Fred's hand still on yours. "Yeah?" George asked. "Wanna screw with Malfoy's head for a bit?" Fred asked. "Is this even a logical question?" George asked. You three managed to rig a drink that exploded in Draco's face, making him pissed. The worst part was that he couldn't actually figure out if you were behind it.
The school year finally started, all of you already aware of the competition. A few students congratulated you on the win before sitting in the great hall. The Beauxbatons sat with Ravenclaw but you sat between Hermione and Fred, moving at one point so Viktor could sit with Hermione. "So think you'll compete?" Fred asked you, nodding to the goblet of fire. "Hell no. I get embarrassed still over recognition of quidditch. This competition would literally make me want to die." You said. "We'll definitely try to compete." George said. "A competition that definitely violates some sort of safety code? Why am I not surprised?" Lizzie said. "Oh come on Y/n. You'd have this thing in the bag." Fred said. "you have more confidence than I do." You chuckled. "Because I know you can do it." He said, very close to your ear. You blushed, his voice sending shocks down your spine. "... I'll sign up..." You said. You were the first to put your name in the goblet, Viktor following soon after. A few other students put their names in the cup but you thought nothing of it. Until that stupid name pull. "Viktor Krum for Durmstrang." Dumbledore called, earning an applause. "Fleur Delacour for Beauxbatons." He said. "And Y/n L/n for Hogwarts." "WHAT!?"
So now you were really fucked. How the fuck were you supposed to participate in this competition!? "This is bad." You said pacing in the Gryffindor common room. "Y/n, it's not that bad, I mean you're talented! You'll be fine!" Lizzie reasoned. "No, Lizzie I will not be fine! I know you read books! I know you know how dangerous this competition is!" You said. "So why'd you sign up!?" Ron asked. Fred said nothing, reading a book and turning it's page with a small smile on his lips. "I just... I figured with the amount of students already here I'd have no shot at winning." You said. "but here we are." George said. "What even is that first challenge anyway?" Hermione asked.
The answer was dragons. Dragons were the fucking challenge. You all had to draw small baby dragons from a bag and find out which one you'd be in a ring with. Yours was a Hungarian Horntail. Of course you ended up with the most dangerous dragon. God damn it. Fred sat next to George in the stands, raising a brow. ".... What's that?" He asked noticing his brother Charlie wheeling a large box out. Oh no. Not a good sign. Definitely not a good sign. He got up, going to the tents where he knew you'd be to find you pacing. "Y/n." He called making you turn. "Fred. Thank God." You said hugging him. "I saw my brother Charlie and knew something was up. What's going on?" He asked. "I have to retrieve something from a dragon Fred. A dragon!" You said. "Well as long as it isn't a Hungarian--" "It's a Hungarian Horntail." You said. "....Fuck that isn't good." He sighed. "Any chance they'll let you back out?" He asked. "No.... I've tried." You breathed. "I can't do this Fred." You said, panic in your eyes. "You can... And you will." He said holding your hands. "And if I fail?" You asked. "Then I'm right here. Any time you need me." He said softly before the sound of a camera went off. Rita. God damn it. "We're dealing with something woman, move." Fred snapped. "Rude... But this is a definite scoop." She giggled before running off. "Oh God I'm not living that down." You whined. "Love, you've got this." He said. "Wait did you--" "Y/n. It's your turn." Viktor coughed out. Oh that's a reassuring thing to see. A fellow competitor looking like he walked through fire with a fucking egg. You sucked in a breath. "I'm right here." Fred said softly. "Well I mean I'll be in the stands but you get my point." He corrected. You nodded as he left and you got ready to walk into the ring. Fred sat back down and you swallowed hard, staring at the dragon. You could do this right!?
Well after being winded from being slammed into a rock you most definitely thought you couldn't. You coughed and looked at Fred. He was giving you a reassuring (yet slightly panicked) look. "That all you've got scaly!?" You coughed out. It geared up to breathe fire and you ducked behind a rock. You had to think and you had to think fast. What could get you out of this!?
That's when it hit you. Your broom. "ACCIO FIREBOLT!" you screamed before your broom shot out and floated towards you. You could feel the heat of the flame behind the rock before you jumped on your broom, earning a large cheer from the crowd. You were safe! Thank God! Now Fred could BREATHE. That's when the dragon's chain decided to snap. "Oh fuck." You whined before shooting off past the stands. "OH FUCK!" you screamed as the dragon also hightailed after you. You flew to the school, trying to avoid being killed before you were slammed into a tower. "Oh shit, that's going to cost them a few pennies." You said before you lost your grip. "SHIT!" you gasped before bringing your broom closer. You flew out of the way, going through many different areas before finally throwing the dragon off. Fred was freaking out, you not in sight. "Oh God George, I convinced her to do this, what if she's hurt!? What if she's--" "SHE'S THERE!" Hermione pointed as you flew into the arena grabbing the egg.
You went back to the tents, covered in dirt and bits of roof shingle on your coat. "Christ." You muttered dusting yourself off before Fred ran in. "You did it!" He said. "Yeah! Ow." You winced holding your wrist. "What happened!?" Fred asked, clearly concerned. "Nothing! I just... I hit my wrist on one of the towers before I could actually get away from the dragon." You admitted. Madame Pomfrey looked at it. "Oh this is a simple fix. It's just bruised, take one of these." She said handing you a gummy. You nodded and within seconds the pain was gone. "See I'm fine-" Fred put his hands on the sides of your face, looking into your eyes. "Try not to get yourself killed in this... Please." He said. "...I... I will try." You nodded. He was so tempted to kiss you. But he refrained seeing as Rita Skeeter could be around the corner. He let go of your face and you swallowed hard.
The celebration of you winning was loud, earning you leaving and sitting in the halls while everyone else was losing their mind. You looked at the egg and rose a brow opening it to hear shrieking. "What the fuck!?" You gasped. This had to have some sort of purpose. Especially that shrieking. That egg opened for some reason. So why? "...I need to get this muffled..." You said getting up. So you went to the bathrooms, filling up the bath with water before going in. You put the egg underwater, before poking your head under too.
After listening to it song you concluded that the next challenge with most likely be at the lake. You sighed, standing out in the cold air. "Where's Fred?" You asked George. "I don't know. One of the faculty members said that he was needed for something and he just disappeared and never came back." Lizzie said. You looked in the water. "have I mentioned how much I hate this competition?" You asked. "only every other day." George nodded. "You've got this Y/n!" Ron encouraged. "Yeah, you're going to do fine!" Harry said. Neville managed to hand you something, something that would allow you to swim underwater without needing to come up for air. You jumped in as the sound went off, swimming in the lake. It was dark, cold and murky. Who in the fuck thought that this competition would be a fun idea for children!? You swam in the water for a while, following the other competitors and finding out exactly what you were there for. Fred. Fred was there. "You've got to be fucking kidding me." You thought. You managed to get him free, being the first to come up with someone. Fred coughed and you sighed climbing out of the water. Viktor soon emerged with Hermione. But Fleur came back empty-handed. And you recalled seeing a child down there. "I couldn't get Gabrielle!" She whimpered. You looked at her and then the lake. "stupid morals" it was all anybody heard you say before you jumped right back in. Everyone ran to the edge to see you. Right now it was a waiting game.
One that didn't take very long considering you came back up within fifteen minutes with Gabrielle. Fleur hugged you as you coughed up water and shivered. Fred shared his towel with you, wrapping it around your arms and looking at you. "That was so stupid." He laughed. "I know." You shivered. "But it was brave. And for that, I've got to say you're killing this competition." Fred said making you laugh. You looked in his eyes, the water dripping from his hair. "Congratulations! You survived!" Lizzie said. "Yeah and I'm fucking cold, can I please get some coffee?" You asked making Fred laugh. "Agreed" he nodded.
As school continued it was becoming clear there was some stupid dance coming up. It was basically thrown in your face when McGonagall forced dance classes on you. Fred being your partner made it more bearable though. He was a surprisingly good dancer, him being the one to teach you. "So the Yule is coming up." He said swaying with you. He twirled you and you chuckled before he pulled you very close to him, facing you against him. "Would you like to go with me?" He asked in your ear making your face very red from the blushing. "....Uhm... Y-Yeah s-sure." You stuttered out. For God's sakes-- woman you fought a dragon, but you can't handle your crush being close to you!? "Great." He said, now directly into your ear. Your legs felt so weak right now but he twirled you again so you'd be facing him. "Uhm... F-Fred what are... What are we going as?" You asked. Fred smiled, his hands in yours as you swayed. "Well, we could always prove Rita's theory of us dating to be true. But only if you want to." He said. You swallowed and nodded. "You want to?" He asked. "words aren't forming. Legs weak. Going down." You said. "What--" you fell, making both of you fall and Fred laughed. "Well if I knew asking you out had that effect I wouldn't have done this in a dance class." He said getting up. You took his hand and he pulled you up, kissing you as you came back up. Your eyes were wide but you eventually sunk into it before McGonagall cleared her throat. "...Thank you for the theatrics. We have a class to teach." She said. "Sorry professor." Fred said as you sputtered like a dying engine. Fred snorted and you punched his arm.
From that point on, Fred was always giving you some sort of affection, your favorite being when he'd slink his arms around your waist as you spoke, saying "hello darling." In your ear. When the Yule finally approached you were a nervous wreck. "Y/n you can't even fuck this up. First off: you're gorgeous. Second off : you're going with your boyfriend." Lizzie said, zipping up your dress. "You never told me who you were going with." You said. "George." She said making you turn around. "Sorry. Did you just say George? As in my boyfriend's brother?" You asked. "Yep. See believe it or not, I actually spent time with your friends. George is nice to me. And cute." She said. "...This is so weird. Right?" You asked. "....Okay yes but I'm serious, George is great." Lizzie agreed.
You both walked down, the brothers waiting. "So wait you're going with my girlfriend's best friend?" Fred asked. "Yeah. She's beautiful and smart, what do you want from me?" George said. "Well a warning would've been.... Nice..." Fred said before seeing you. "Holy--" "Shit." Fred and George gaped. "Wow." Fred said looking at you. "Thank you." You chuckled. He kissed your cheek and just kept staring. "What?" You asked. "Love, you're beautiful." He said. "Thank you-- Oh that's so weird." You said looking at George who was kissing Lizzie. ".... Don't I have to present you?" Fred asked. You whined. "Why? Why me? Why did I even sign up for that stupid competition?" You sighed. "Because my persuasion skills are amazing." Fred said making you roll your eyes as you stood with the other champions and their dates. "Holy shit Hermione, you're gorgeous!" You gaped. "thank you-- wow you're beautiful too!" She said before the doors opened. "Crap." You breathed. "Any last requests?" Fred asked. "Don't let me fall." You whispered to him before walking out with the group.
You did that ridiculous dance, actually not screwing up for once. When it ended you were relieved. "Thank God. I hate ballroom dancing." You said making Fred laugh. "You did great dear." He said with a smile. You kissed him, resting your forehead on his. "I'm so lucky to have you in my life." You said softly. "I love you Y/n." Fred said. You smiled. "I love you too." You said softly. A slow song of course came on, Fred pulling you to the dance floor as he held you close, whispering sweet little compliments to you.
When the night ended you and Lizzie both had big smiles on your face, giggling and talking about the night. That night was probably the least stressful compared to the others. As the weeks went by though, the final trial was there, right in your face. You couldn't sleep that night, sitting in the astronomy tower before you heard someone walking up. You turned to see Fred. "hey beautiful." He said, sitting next to you. "Hi." You said, looking out at Hogwarts. "Nervous?" He asked. "Yes... In all of these challenges I have narrowly escaped death..." You muttered. "Nothing will happen. I won't let anything happen." Fred said. "What if you can't stop anything from happening--" "Y/n... I promise if it seems like things will go wrong I will cross through hell to make sure you're safe." He swore. "Plus. I have a good luck charm." He added before handing you a small bag. You opened it to find a leather bracelet. "Is this... The Marauders map motto?" You asked looking at him. ".... Maybe." He said with a smirk. You put it on and kissed him. "Thank you." You said. "You should try to sleep Love. Tommorow will be hard." He said. "...Stay with me?" You asked. He nodded as you both snuck into the Ravenclaw common room. The next morning you were found wrapped in Fred's arms sleeping like a baby. "Hey idiots. Wake up." Lizzie yawned, smacking Fred with a pillow. You groaned, waking up. "Fucking hell." You whined.
You stood with the rest of the competitors. You looked at Fred and kissed your bracelet. You could do this. Right? Yeah. You got this. After all, it's not like there's a dragon! Well there are vines that TRY TO CONSUME YOU IN THE FUCKING WALLS. Upon making this discovery you booked it, turning different ways before seeing it. The cup! And Viktor. Fuck. You sprinted before gripping the handle, unsure if you just tied before landing hard on the ground in front of the crowd. You were alone. Did you... Did you just... Win!? You stood up, brushing dirt off you with the cup in your other hand. Cheers erupted and you jumped. So you did win! You did it! Ayyyeeee! Dumbledore lifted your hand with the cup, declaring you the winner as the other competitors accepted defeat. "And your reward. 1000 galleons." Dumbledore said. "Wait what?" You asked.
So that summer was spent being conflicted on what to do with the money. "I don't need money though." You said to Molly. "Fred, we have another order." Lizzie said. That's when a lightbulb went off. "I KNOW WHAT TO DO!" you gasped making Fred, George, Molly and Lizzie jump. "What?" Fred asked. "A shop! You guys need a shop!" You said. ".... We're not letting you spend this money on us." George said. "Psh. Consider this a business investment." You said. "Y/n!" Fred said. "Babe, you'll actually use this! And what you don't use we can save, it's literally that simple!" You said. "And you're sure? That you want to do this!?" George asked. "After we graduate, game on." You said. "...Mum... I'm in love." Fred said making you smile as he scattered kisses across your face. Molly chuckled and shook her head.
You actually did hold your promise too, after you all graduated they got the money and bought a shop. You would work there when Quidditch season was up, usually taking stock or something. One day Fred was acting... Very strange though. George had to know what was going on. "Fred. What is up with you?" George asked. He looked across the store to see you with a clipboard taking down inventory. "not here." He said. He pulled him to the back. "I'm asking Y/n to marry me. Tonight." He said. "... you've got to be fucking joking." He said. "Well we've been together since our fifth year--" "I planned on proposing to Lizzie tonight." He said. "....Okay this whole 'twins think alike' thing is kicking our ass." Fred said. "...Okay. we take them both out to dinner and propose?" George suggested. "....Deal." Fred nodded.
And that's exactly what happened, both men acting really weird. "Okay what the hell is up with them?" You asked after witnessing Fred trip over air. "...I have no clue. George sliped up the stairs today. Up. The. Stairs. How in the absolute fuck do you fall up stairs?" She said. "...Something is going on." You said. "...And it's dealing with both of them." She said. You all were having a nice night, laughing, smiling, giving each other loving looks. Fred exchanged a look with George and both of them handed you and Lizzie boxes at the same time. You rose a brow and opened it before you gasped. "Oh my God. Fred. Are... Are you actually... Serious!?" You asked. "As serious as possible." He said. Lizzie looked at George with the same expression. "Yes!" Both of you replied in unison. Both men let out relieved sighs and you hugged Fred. "Did you two plan on asking us at the same time?" You asked. "no." Both of them admitted making you snort. "You two are idiots." Lizzie laughed. "But their our idiots." You said making Fred smile.
Use Me
Summary: Reggie/Plus Sized! Reader Request: Song-fic using the song “Use Me” by Alec Benjamin, Reader likes Archie, and he was flirting/ pretending to like her to get Veronica’s attention, and reader knows this but thinks she can handle it
Archie knew you had a crush on him. You’d tried to cut away the flirting you’d been slipping into the conversation after Reggie and pulled you aside and told you how he was trying to get with Ronnie; you were content to let him be happy and you know Reggie would be there for you regardless. You’d had a crush on Reggie before but after he’d had a fling with Ronnie and made it clear you were a friend you’d buried that under your budding feelings for Archie. You don’t think about what Archie’s sudden flirting means; with Ronnie uninterested in him you’d been pleasantly surprised when he’d flirted back.
This had been going back and forth, Reggie pulling you out of the idea you’d actually have a chance with Archie by bribing you with Pop’s and giving you the locker room and field talk that he and Archie would have about girls. You try to laugh it off; how Reggie is unmoving in his assurance that Archie is using you. “It’s fine Reg; I have it under control; at least this way he’s paying attention to me.” Reggie makes an upset noise in his throat before grumbling as he jerks the shared basket of cheese fries over.
“Reg; seriously. It’s fine; I like Archie, I know he doesn’t like me back. Hey! I was going to eat that one.” He grins pulling the cheese fry closer tongue about to lick it before you swipe it form his hand, grinning as you chew. “Aww sorry Reggie, better luck next time.” You beam as he glares rolling his eyes. “You owe me next weeks Pop’s then.” “Oh like you’d let me pay, I had to sneak the bill last week and then I just happened to find a twenty in my wallet the day after?” “Weird right.” He laughs and you turn eyes glued to Archie as he walks in with Jughead and Betty. “Go on then.” Reggie nods and you grin arm wrapping his neck to hug him. “Thanks Reg.” You grin widens when Archie beams pulling you into a hug. You miss Jughead and Reggie making eye contact and grimacing.
“Hey Y/N; I was wondering if you wanted to go out for the night next Tuesday.” “Out where?” You grin leaning forward on the table. You brush of the sound of something slamming on one of the tables and the door practically revolving with how it’s shoved closed. “Where ever you want; but might I suggest Pop’s?” He grins and you nod enthusiastically. You spend the rest of the night listening to Jughead and Betty conspire against Hiram and Archie’s annoyance grow steadily; you don’t like the idea’s Jughead and Betty are implying, the idea that Hiram is behind most of the horrible things that have been happening but you hate how agitated Archie is growing. You nervously follow him when he leaves.
“Archie you okay?” “Yeah fine.” “You seem annoyed.” “I am.” “You want to talk about it?” “Jughead and Betty are being ridiculous! It’s crazy how they think those things about Ronnie and her dad!” “Archie; it’s just her dad; they’re not talking about Ronnie at all.” “They are! Talking shit about her dad is talking shit about her; I’m not going to have them saying that.” “Yeah I understand. I’m sorry they’re being that way.”You sigh when Archie grins relieved. “I knew I could count on you Y/N you’re the best.” You manage to keep your cool when he kisses your cheek leaving to return home.
“Need a ride home?” You turn confused hat Reggie’s car is still parked. “You’re still here? I thought you left hours ago?” “Nah; well I left Pop’s thought about getting some studying done but you know how against Kevin’s plays my dad is.” You frown nodding as he leans over to open the door. “Who’re you trying out for?” “Depends who you’re trying out for; gotta be the leading man to the star.” He winks and you roll your eyes. “With both know Cheryl is gonna be the main star.” You grin as you slide into his car. “You okay?” Reggie nudges you when you stay quiet. “Yeah; Archie asked me on a date I think; well at least out on Tuesday; to Pop’s.” “Ronnie works Tuesday shifts.” “I guessed.” “You want me there, in case it goes south.” “No it’s okay; it won’t go south if I don’t let it.” You grin and he strains a smile back at you.
You look up for the fifth time as the door opens frowning at Reggie who nods, moving past you towards an empty booth you can hear him spreading out paper and whatever he’s using as a prop to study. Veronica swings by refilling the drink you’ve gotten; just as Archie swings through door grinning. “Hey Ronnie. Hey Y/N.” Archie spends the rest of the not date talking about what’s been going on with him the past two weeks. Not that you’re uninterested or caring that you were with him for half the classes; you’re happy to listen; the only thing that bothers you is how often you catch his eyes wandering to Veronica; how he trails off and restarts slightly behind or ahead of what he was saying after Veronica vanishes to and from the kitchen.
You’re confused when Reggie slides next to you grinning at Archie. “Hey Andrews.” “Hey Reggie; what’s up?” “Enjoying your date?” Reggie smirks and you try not to let your face fall when he shakes his head. “Not a date Reggie. Just friends; right Y/N?” You nod and Archie excuses himself when Veronica chimes to Pop how she’s taking a break. He leaves you sitting with Reggie. “You okay Y/N?”
“Yeah; fine. It’s okay, seriously Reggie.” “You’re okay with him using you? You know that’s what he’s doing?” “I know it’s-“ “So the fact he and Veronica are probably hooking up out back? The fact he’s been flirting with her since he got here? Or what about-“ “Leave it Reggie.” “No.” You look up glaring at him; you don’t care if you’re crying. “Leave it alone.” “Okay Y/N. Okay. I’ll leave it.” He nods arm wrapping around you to pull you into his side. “I’m here if you need. No pressure just-“ “Archie at least pretends he’s interested in me.” “Okay? Are other guys not interested in you?” “Not the one I want.” “So talk to him? As a guy I can say I’d much prefer to reject someone up front than awkwardly trying to guess if they’re interested in me.”
“So what; you just expect me to walk up to him and be like “I’ve been in love with you for almost a year; I don’t think he’d take to well to that.” “I’d much prefer it over the shit Veronica is pulling; its getting Archie to use you to see if she’s jealous.” “And you’d never do that?” “Well no I actually love you; I’m not going to play with your feelings like that ever, let alone if I had a chance of getting with you.” “Hypothetically.” You add and Reggie wrinkles his nose. “Not studying for the vocab test now Y/N still trying to figure out where Archie is so I can beat some sense into him; okay, maybe just yell loudly, and also with my fist.” He softens his threat as you glare. “I still care about Archie as a friend.” “I know you’re too good to do anything less.” You shrug letting Reggie slide out of the booth and decide it’s probably best for you to wait for him to come back.
You don’t talk about earlier at Pop’s or whatever Reggie said to Archie after he comes back and offers to drive you home. “Thanks Reg; I owe you one.” “Just buy me Pop’s; we’ll call it even.” “You’ll actually let me pay? Wow Archie must’ve really riled you up then.” “I don’t like seeing you hurt.” You nod grinning watching his smile falter. “I know; according to you earlier, what was it; you actually love me?” He shifts uncomfortably in front of you. “And what was your advice; that you should take by the way; it was something along the lines of just walking up and telling them I’m in love with them.” You smirk and he grins. “Well technically I’m standing, and you already know I’m in love with you.” “Because fighting with Archie proves that how?” “Well I fought for your honour; and I drove you home; plus how many dates have we been on to Pop’s?” “Thos weren’t dates.” You flush and he grins. “Well I paid didn’t I?” “You wouldn’t let me!!” You shout and he grins. “Better luck next time Y/N?”
