Tell me truthfully, do you stretch? Not just before or after a workout, but in general, do you incorporate any type of stretching into your day?⁣ ⁣ If you aren’t now, I’m going to share with you 5 ways stretching can benefit your life beyond just being able to touch your toes (although that’s a good one😊).⁣ ⁣ We’ll start with my favorite pose, Malasana (Garland pose), because it’s particularly helpful to those with tight hips from cycling or running 🙌🏼 Holding this pose for 30 seconds each day can help you:⁣ ⁣ 1. Strengthen your lower back.⁣ ⁣ 2. Tone the abdominal muscles.⁣ ⁣ 3. Improve colon function to help with elimination.⁣ ⁣ 4. Open the hips and stretches the groin, hamstrings, ankles & back. ⁣ ⁣ 5. Release anxious or negative energy.⁣ ⁣ I can’t say it enough, the recovery is just as important as the work.
