🍂 Arthur gets quite flustered and trips over his sentences a lot when hes talking to you, because the fact that you don't give much away makes him nervous. You have an intimidating aura, and the fact that you're the most beautiful woman hes ever seen... He never knows how to act or whether he's managing to win you over or not.

🍂 You really confuse him sometimes, the way you arent disturbed by blood or fighting, the way the violence and bleak dark underside of the work him and his brothers do doesnt seem to shock you at all.

I know im mainly a murder drones blog, but id like to talk about the amazing digital circus for a second. How its been growing onto me, and my thoughts about it.

(/srs trigger warning for mentions of existential terror, depression, relapsing, gender dysphoria, etc. literally just major hazard signs rn 😺😺)

Now im absolutely not saying that im gonna get hyperfixated on TADC now that murder drones is over. I dont think any shows going to top murder drones for at least a couple years. But undeniably, goose has had amazing writing for these 3 episodes.

"Why are you just NOW talking about tadc?"

I have rlly bad existential terror, which is why i personally avoid active interaction with the series/fanbase.

Now ever since i watched the pilot, ive always had a feeling that TADC had some underlying elements of mental illness, and episode 3 basically confirmed that for me. Now im not saying that the shows gonna have a big "Oh look when you love yourself anythings possible!!" or something like that. quite the opposite actually, i think this series js gonna show the rough and the gruff of mental illness. Anywho! here are some moments im trying to talk about right now are

1: Caine talking to zooble about how he might be bad at the only thing hes good at, while the world glitches out around them.

2: Kinger talking about how the best thing you can do in your life, is to love other people.

3: Zooble saying how no matter the parts they try on, theyve never found anything that makes them feel comfortable.

4: Pomnis constant existential dread throughout the series

Why do i wanna talk about these scenes in particular?

1: starting with Caines very obvious comment, i really sympathized with this one. Being told something even remotely along the lines of "your not good at something" can already be devastating. Especially when that something is your everything, the thing you wake up to do. The thing that keeps you going. When you dont have that something, it can feel like theres no point. you can feel like YOU have no point. I didn't want to get too personal on tumblr (especially on my main acc) but ive struggled with depression and existential terror for years, having something to always make me excited to do was what got me up and running, every single day. When i was told that something was pointless or i was bad at that something, it always either led me to an episode or relapsing. Having that accurately represented in media is HARD, its hard to even put into words. and goose did it with 2 lines of dialect.

2: Something thats always gotten me through, everything, was remembering nothing matters in the world besides the love i put into it. This isnt anything major like what i had to talk about with caines or the other moments, but this was something that probably would have left me feeling existential and scared without that reminder. The kinger development was real in this episode!!

3: Zooble has ALWAYS been great rep in TADC, but i really did like their B plot in this episode. Im a demigirl, demigirls are people who identify as girls but do not feel fully connected to the identity. If it's easier to understand, think of it like a mix of Female and Non Binary. Zooble HAS been confirmed as non binary, usually when a show does confirm someone's gender, its usually not a struggle we get to see them go through. We usually see them at a stage where they've already come to complete terms with their identity. Goose is ACTUALLY showing us some of zoobles daily struggles they go through. with no matter how many parts they try on, how much they change, they never feel fully comfortable. Watching this scene ACTUALLY got me emotional because ive felt this way too. No matter how much makeup i put on, or how many skirts and bows i wore, i never felt fully like a girl. And no matter how much i tried to hide my chest, or how much hair was put into a bun, i never felt fully androgynous. having a show that accurately represents that feels unreal.

4: Ever since the pilot, i knew existential dread was going to be a key aspect of this series. As a child, not knowing the term yet, i struggled with existential dread. Existential dread for those unaware of the term, is a feeling of anxiety or discomfort when thinking about lifes meaning. Now, older me, struggles with existential terror. For those unaware of that term, it is a term that refers to the cognitive and emotional experience of recognizing the inevitability of death, which is often accompanied by feelings of angst, isolation from others, and awareness of meaninglessness.

For a shorter explanation:

Existential Dread = Uneasy/Anxiety when questioned about the meaning of life

Existential Terror = Anxiety about the inevitably of death and the acceptance of meaninglessness

Existential terror and dread are NOT a package deal! you CAN have one without the other,

Though pomnis definitely on the Dread -> Terror pipeline, i do believe she hasnt showed enough fear about the inevitable for me to say she experiences both.

Regardless, this was one of the main reasons i was hyped for TADC when the pilot released, To get representation for something so big, so prominent in my everyday life i now consider apart of me to be in a INDIE ANIMATION?? let alone THE GLITCH PRODUCTIONS?? i was freaking hyped UP!

Whether this is real or not, and even though he looks miserable, Chris isn't going to gain what he lost not all the way. I'm probably one of the many that just want to see how or when this ends, but wont be supporting him in anyway. Its easy to make up excuses for him, white men always seem to get a pass. But at the end of the day this a grown man who by choice went along with a PR or chose this person to love. No job should be worth risking your reputation or marrying a racist especially someone who has enough money to not worry about how he'll make ends meet. He wasn't going to lose everything over refusing to go along with a PR. He wasn't going to be blacked balled over this. The man had a fanbase, a following, and was a white attractive man he was always going to get work.

As a POC, forgetting and forgiving is just going to be hard. I refuse to believe he was powerless and choice-less if this is PR. It says a lot about him whether this is real or not. It's hard to believe that any studio or agency would force him to do this with her out of all the other options available especially with the racists revelations. It doesn't make any sense, he was a popular actor with a loyal following and she was a nobody actress from out of the country. why would they force someone like her on to him. Would they risk his career for a racist troll, cause had the racist information gotten more attention he could have gotten a lot more backlash and it could have impacted his career. Why would they bat so hard for someone like her, she isnt making them any money then or now, he was or is. The movies she has now arent something she is the star of, most of the public isn't going to watch the movie she just finished for her. He is the more in demand of the two and the more well known, why would they risk him for her, they could have chosen anyone in the states. A fake relationship with an upcoming actress in Hollywood would have gotten him and whatever third party that is pushing this way more attention than this girl has and could have helped change his image if thats what they were after.

Thats why I sometimes believe it is real even though he looks uncomfortable. I think the miserable look has more to do with him not being confident in being seen with someone so much younger and because he wasnt expecting backlash from the very beginning. You can tell he doesn't like be called out and this really got to him. I dont think he likes the optics of the age thing either thats why I think they wanted until she turned 25 to confirm and to be seen with her in public even though there were so many hints out in the open before she turned 25 that they were together. And I think thats why he's always rushing pictures with her because the optics dont look good. They try to dress her up to make her look older by putting her hair up and going heavier with the makeup, but lets be honest if they took her everyday appearance and put it next to him, he'd look liker her dad or uncle. Also I truly dont think if this was PR anyone would push a fake marriage in any circumstances that is way too over the top. What other celebrity especially that was on his level is being pushed to marry for PR reasons. This could very well be a real relationship with very present PR.

i remember discussing with my friend if rebecca was really the blushing virgin that everyone in the fandom makes her out to be. at the time i just shrugged it off and said yes, because i didn't know much about her character (not that there is much anyway.) but after thinking about it, my opinion's changed a bit. so here's my random opinions about rebecca.

initially i felt like rebecca was only really put into the first game to be jill's opposite, and also i guess to make it even and put a girl on the other team.

i haven't played RE 0 (and with the complaints i probably won't..) but she isn't exactly squealing and blushing whenever billy looks her way - if anything, billy is more of a flirt. maybe him giving her all these cute nicknames is just in his nature? or perhaps he just really likes her. who knows!

you could argue that everyone on her team died and she's going through this hellish nightmare on her first mission - so why on earth would she have goo-goo eyes over some inmate who supposedly slaughtered 23 people?! haha, i love analyzing these guys.

rebecca isn't afraid to put anyone in their place, she demands respect, "but that's officer chambers to you", "and dont call me little girl!" one thing i love about these lines is how it's delivered, she isn't stomping her feet and throwing a tantrum. she keeps her soft tone and says it sharply! i wish people saw her as spunkier and dominant, rather than an innocent, helpless baby.

suprisingly, she doesn't fall for chris either. i mean can you blame me for expecting her to? he's protecting her throughout the game and vice versa. she's tired and scared but atleast she has chris to lean onto. that's the perfect set up for a predictable (one-sided) romance. the same arguement could be made - she's tired, and got thrusted into another nightmare, she doesn't have time to be flustered over chris..

something that's a little odd but rebecca has respect for chris in the sense that she refers to him as "sir", when she doesn't even do that for enrico. though, im sure its because she's familiar with enrico, but not chris.

she's oddly professional for her age, but no one in the fandom gives her credit for it— and yes i know it's probably because she's a child prodigy, so perhaps she had to grow up quicker? i assume she was around adults much older than herself. ( ≧ᗜ≦) !!!

i know it's common for people to call her a tomboy because "girl + short hair = tomboy" (sarcasm). though, if i'm being honest, i never saw her as one. rebecca (and jill) are just girls, they can't really be placed into boxes - they're not clichés. you see the duality with rebecca loving basketball but also being a chemist? i LOVE that so much. she's in this male-dominated field with an age that still end in -teen.

rebecca is described as "androgynous" in her uniform and while i agree to some extent i don't really like that word too much, because it implies that jill's uniform isnt androgynous when i think that it is.. so what because jill's chest is prominent she can't be androgynous too? hmph, it always left a bitter taste in my mouth.

also i really love that she's wearing makeup in 0, it's her first mission and she's all dolled up 笑笑笑笑笑 but they stopped using ayumi's model and i guess wanted to rework her face.

I HAD A REVELATION

okay so I was thinking about gender. My gender. And my feelings about being a cis girl over time.

When I was little I used to wear all kinds of dresses and wore nail polish and even occasionally makeup (but like. Sloppily as a 7 year old would lol) and how overtime I stopped wearing nail polish and stopped wearing dresses and despised make up. I dont really remeber why I stopped with nail polish. Maybe because it flaked off too easily or maybe I was sick of the few colors we had idk. I know I gradually stopped wearing dresses and night gowns because I was sick of being told I couldnt "put my legs up [up against the wall or just straight up in the air] or that I had to sit a certain way while wearing one. So I wore more and more pants.

I think about how i used to stand in the toys aisles while my mom did grocery shopping and look at "The Boys" section and think how much cooler it was than the girls section.

And I think about how my music teacher told us one day we'd hit puberty and we'd grow and us girls would be like "[in a high pitched voice] OH MY GOSH I LOVE BOYS AND DID YOU HEAR ABOUT SO AND SO" and I looked over at my classmates and friends to see if they were also terrified of becoming annoying teenage boy-obsessed girls.

And i think about how when I was at my friend's house and we were building "tree forts" in the woods i would wish I had a penis for the convenience of being able to just go pee behind a tree, because squatting near the ground was Not Fun and I hated walking all the way back to the house. And I think about how I hated that I'd have to wear a bra once my boobs started to come in

Now you might be thinking. Friend I think you want[ed] to be a boy. But the thing is, i dont.

I may have hated being restricted in dresses but I dont actually hate them. I've gotten a couple dresses in the last 10 years (for prom and graduation and a [not my] wedding) and how I actually did like how I looked in them and enjoyed wearing them for that time.

I think about how I was jealous of the boys selection of toys, but also how I had a ton of barbies that I massively enjoyed and how if I'd been a boy I probably wouldnt have been able to enjoy them (thanks to pressure from society) as well as a bunch of other "girly" items and shows and movies. I think about how I'm actually Asexual and that I wasnt scared of becoming "a young woman", I just didnt understand the obsession with sex/romance/boyfriend&girlfriend stuff.

And while having a penis is more convenient for peeing I also remeber thinking that it would suck to get kicked in the balls and/or that trope of falling on soemthign between your legs that happens in so many movies (not that it feels any better with a vagina honestly). And while me and my boobs dont always get along, I remember that after getting my first cute bra, I thought. Oh well maybe this isnt so bad. And I mostly wear sports bras now because I do wish they were smaller and I HATE that so many bras (EVEN THE SPORTS BRAS) are already padded into cup shapes, and while I don't mind Having Boobs, i Do Not want to show them off. And sometimes i think that maybe i wouldn't mind chopping them off, but then i think how my figure/outline/silhouette would look with out them, and that seems worse.

And i think about the times I've accidentally been called "Sir" from tired fast food employees when wearing gender nonspecific clothing and felt happy about it. But not "oh it feels right to be called sir/he/him" , but more of "hehe I fooled you! You thought this was a dress but its pants!"

And really this is all to say. I was born a girl and grew up that way so it's what I'm used to. If I'd been born with a dick then I guess I'd be a guy. If you magically stuck me in a male body right now, would I feel like a Guy or feel like a girl in a guys body? I honestly dont know. So am I non binary? Maybe that that doesnt quite feel right either.

Being a girl is what I've grown up as and into, and it's what I'm used to and going by anything else is… odd. Maybe itd be better and maybe it wouldnt. It's like an old blanket. You've had it forever and maybe its frayed and patched maybe a little too small and it's not what people expect you to have for a blanket, and maybe you could do with a new one. But nothing feels right with out it. No other blanket feels the same. It's what you're used to and its familar. It's a comfort blanket.

I myself have recently started just being myself shamelessly, including wearing what i want without thinking will people like this or react badly or will people be disinterested in me etc I think it can be a big part of how we represent who we are to the world yknow 🤔 like i love long skirts and dresses to death (with pockets especially omg), i hate makeup (for mostly sensory reasons), i dont like shaving my pits even tho ive been told i should many times, i like boots and sneakers but also heels. Bc yeah i am a woman who likes feminine things but im a human being, and human beings are extremely complex and have several layers that dont fit into niches or aesthetics or boy girl categories (i also kind of hate aesthetics and how out of control its become everyone thinks they need to fit some aesthetic or category or group to be an acceptable person but yknow let's not even get into that rn bc lol thats a whole conversation by itself)

Point is we all care waaay too much what other people think and we try to fit ourselves into boxes to be acceptable and loved which is fair ig bc who doesnt want to be accepted at the end of the day, but putting on this show is so harmful to us and yet we still insist on the diets and the plastic surgery and shaming others or hating whats different. This isnt a new conversion its thousands of years old, yet we only seem to be going in circles :/

1. I hate the vvanna quiz that u gotta do every week and the thought waltz u do every day. I dont wanna sit there for 30 seconds to get a small reward n why would u make me do a quiz for reqards when i just started playin and i dont know shit about fuck?

2. The ui is genuinely kind of awful. Pretty, but awful. Like, look at this one page for example.

The store has a picture of a girl wearin stuff u cant even buy at the store. Do u know what u do in the fashion studio? No? I wouldnt blame you its just a random picture. You make clothes, like you shape your own stuff. Brand design studio? You craft suits. Doesnt have anythin to do with makeup though. And then u have one of the pictures not even leadin to anything, just there, filling space.

And for the place where u go to make the clothes. One of those bubbles you Create The Clothing, on the other you Paint The Already Created Clothing. Can u guess which is which? WRONG its the other way around

3. The way everythin is divided into so many little stores and currencies and whatnot. Every god damn feature has its own store and thus gives u currency that u can use in said store. This isnt necessary pls

4. Every possible screen has one of these little fuckers which gives u a little red notification mark and u go and claim it and it gives you 1000 coins and a punch in the face

5. This is a me problem but i just cant get into being the protag of this story. I have no attachment to this girl and she s sayin stuff i would never lmao i much preffer bein a disembodied voice inside nikki s head while she s out doin cool stuff and/or getting tramatized and im in bed eatin a burger

Rose Lalonde hc: rose definitely had a rough childhood 2 but i think her mom took more care of her then bro did even if it was only 2 play the role of motherhood for her passive aggressive tendencies. she definitely stopped doing anything (other than vacuuming lol) once rose was old enough to do it herself. i think roses hair is bleached and straightened to oblivion and when she gets older shes defintely gonna wish she hadnt done it so much when she was younger. i think at school many people would have wanted to be her friend but she prefered more solitude, for wizard fanfics and eldritch god study. i think rose is shorter and curvier, (i def like the idea of her being shorter than kan) and a bit darker than dave. she started her intensive makeup routine in the hopes of attracting her mothers attention negatively, but with no luck. however she kept up with it because she found she liked the repetitivness of putting it on each morning, as well as the fact that it fit her overall aesthetic.
