Looking for an RP partner

So... lately I have been having an itch to write/RP... it's been years since I last wrote anything substantial... but I want to hop back onto the "bicycle" so to speak, so here's to some self advertising and info about myself.

Before you proceed, keep in mind I'm 29NB and any future partners willing to RP with me MUST be 21+. I would prefer it if they were 25+ as it would mean they are closer to my age, but I'm not going to be nit picky about the age range as long as they are 21 years old.

I have some RP experience both in tumblr and discord, but as I previously stated, it's been years. I also written a fic here and there, years ago.

My replies tend to vary from one liner sentences to multiple paragraphs in one go or in-between depending on my creative juices. You don't need to match my length (if I get crazy and reply you in one too many multiple paragraphs) if the creative juices aren't flowing.

I am looking for a casual partner, someone who feels comfortable with me and vice versa. Someone who wants to have fin with me and making up stories for our favorite characters/ships.

Also very important for me, communication is key. Specially before starting a RP and during. We have to know each other's squicks, hard no's and anything that could be potentially triggering to either one of us.

I am very open minded and I am willing to RP almost anything for example: smut, GL, BL, HET, dark stuff, violence, gore, bdsm, a/b/o, mpreg/fpreg....etc. Thinking about it, I might just RP about anything as long as it's talked to beforehand, there might be some instances where I might say no, depending on the characters and the story being written. (I'm saying like if the situations call for it I might bre willing to write vore, which I personally don't like)

I shall only RP in discord and discord only. It's easier and cleaner. I ain't going back to tumbr RPing, unless I get begged to go back to that mess. I don't wan't create a character tumblr blog ever again, or do I?

I am an ever loving multi-shipper and love many ships, however I do have my OTPs.

I don't mind doing RP with OCs, whether they be OC x OC, or MC x OC. I do have some OCs that live mostly in my head. (I might share them one day to the world, maybe, maybe not.)

And now... it is time to put down the list of some of the fandoms I am willing to RP and the characters (muses) I am comfortable to RP as and some of the ships that go with it. (Bold means I feel way more comfortable than usual writing for the character, don't know why, some characters just sing to my soul I guess?) Regardless, I'll RP as anyone and I'll do any ships, unless they are a NOTP. This is just a sample list, if you decide to RP with me, we can talk more in depth about it.

Demon Slayer (muses: Kamado Tanjiro, Agatsuma Zenitsu, Rengoku Kyojuro, Uzui Tengen) (ships: any)

3. If you could change one event in your muse’s life (in their main or canon verse), what would you change?

as much as i want to say "the moment his right arm got injured", i feel like everything that happened was necessary for him to be the person that he is in the canon's present time, so my real answer is nothing, i wouldn't change a thing.

12. What about your muse amuses you?

answered. but also- if i may- and this is cheating ngl because it's only half about tatsuma but anyway-

tatsuma, who is based on sakamoto ryouma, shares a voice actor with 2 other fictional characters based on ryouma (one from renai bakumatsu kareshi, the other from akanesasu sekai de kimi to utau; both are otome games). the funniest part to me imo is the fact that obviously all of them speak in a strong tosa/kochi dialect as the real ryouma did, but the voice actor himself is from tokyo and has stated before that he didn't grow up speaking any regional dialect, yet evidently people liked his performance as tatsuma so much they made him voice 2 more characters like him.

13. What about your muse makes you sad?

mostly how he's treated by the author... i just saw someone made a meme about it recently, but tatsuma was practically irrelevant in the final battle of the series. you could take him out and it wouldn't change much😭 and even throughout the entire series he really was just a comedic relief 90% of the time and barely has any depth in canon... the fact that i managed to give him so much depth based on the crumbs i was given by canon is a goddamn miracle.

some people in the fandom treats his friendship to gintoki, zura, and takasugi as unimportant and i used to be angry about it but now i'm like "no actually... the series never made a really strong argument about it... so i can't even blame them for thinking that..."

14. How would you describe your muse to someone about to meet them, in person, for the first time?

"he's the annoying one with the weird laugh, yeah you'll recognize him as soon as you see him."

18. What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not?

to me: his kindness! my god, his kindness. the way he remained kind, and especially kind towards an enemy, even though that exact thing got him severely injured before.

to tatsuma: his cheerfulness and mental strength. seen in how even while he was actively bleeding to death, he prioritized being cheerful and cracking jokes to his comrades, smiling even as takasugi said "as a samurai, you're already dead".

evidently it's not quite the same thing, personally because i think his perspective is a flaw that he doesn't even realize is one. i love his cheerful personality too of course, but i can see it taken to the point of toxic positivity (toxic mainly to himself tbh).

You know what? I think what gets me about this quote is that it kinda captures Gintoki's overall headspace in regards to his life.

Like, I feel like the driving force for Gintoki to keep living — for a lot of the series — is all the promises he's made throughout his life and his absolute determination to keep them. He is determined to never break another promise again, because the last time he did... well.

And it's these promises that drive him. These are the chains he's placed upon himself to keep going in this life. But he's just existing. And that focus on survival is what he wants for the kids. Life doesn't have to be fun as long as your alive. As long as you can wake up the next day and put one foot in front of the other.

But it's not what they want to hear. It's not what they want. Because they don't want to just exist. They've already done that, when they were existing alone on rainy planets and struggling to keep their family's home. Life was something to live for as soon as they met Gintoki. A chaotic world filled with danger and death is worth living in, as long as Gintoki is with them.

And I think it's kinda here at this point that Gintoki realises that and starts to want to live. For them. And maybe start to live for himself.

She was pretty quiet. Definitely not something he was used to when eating here, Kamui in general was the type to be talkative too. He hadn't forced any kind of conversation though, when he sat across from Opacho to eat as well. What would they talk about anyway? Aside from when she asked questions due to her own curiosity. So, he just focused on eating his noodles, she'd end up finishing first since her portion had been less than his. He'd halt his eating to respond to her though.

''She's probably working right now with that samurai she lives with, which is why she's not around. Don't worry though, I drop by unannounced all the time. She never minds. She might be a little surprised I have you tagging along though. But that's it.''

She was quite content with watching Blue and Steve hunt for clues for about twenty minutes, then she changed the channel. Flicking through the programs before settling on another cartoon, this one being about a boy named Shin and all the shenanigans he gets into with his family and friends. While engrossed in her cartoon Opacho could smell the food as it was being cooked, the pleasing scents made her mouth water and tummy grumble, hopefully Kamui would be finished soon.

Eventually he finished and Opacho's eyes were immediately drawn to the plates set down in front of her. She turns off the TV and waits patiently as Kamui dishes her up some food, accepting it happily with a small thanks. As she holds her chopsticks and gathers up a bit of the noodles Opacho quickly shoves the bite in her mouth.

"It's fine." She murmurs after chewing and swallowing, humming in content after getting some food in her stomach. "Opacho didn't mind waiting." Opacho is quiet as she eats, with the only sound coming from her is her chopsticks tapping against her plate. That one plate was more than enough for her, on top of the two meat buns she'd previously consumed she finds herself feeling pretty full.

"Thank you for the meal," she says setting her plate down on the table and ducking her head politely in a bow like she was taught. Opacho then leans back on the couch, debating if she wanted to watch more tv, but then glances at Kamui, interested to learn more about him. She takes another glance around the small apartment, then back at the Yato. "How come your sister's not home? Will she be mad if we're here?"

He's even carrying a sword on him; the very same one she saw the first time seeing him. Her smile oozed anger, but it was also hiding her fear. Ringed fingers curling tightly around the strap of her bag. She knows she shouldn't feel this way, considering this is someone Kagura associates herself with, but Namida couldn't help these feelings. For Kagura though, she'll try her best to remain calm and not judge him. There was a little echo in her mind that is calling the name of a certain Yato who saved her back then; wishing he was here. (Oops SLIGHT angst there :3c She don't trust male samurais jhbgtvfycrygvuhb)

Given that whenever Kagura had guests over, Gintoki immediately assumed it was her pain in the ass older brother and he'd go somewhere else for the time being. Which was why he never had the opportunity to meet Namida, despite hearing about her so often from Kagura. Given that they lived together, he was often forced to listen to her ramblings about whatever it was that was on her mind. She had seemed happy whenever Namida was brought up, which he enjoyed seeing. So he didn't particularly mind hearing about it, even if he'd act annoyed.

''Yeah, nice to meet you.'' Gintoki exhibited a rather bored look when responding, although that was the way he looked by default.

''Nice to meet you! Kagura-chan talks about you a lot. I'm glad we were able to finally see you!'' Shinpachi would smile and ended up being the only one between the two that returned the bow given. Although his smile would immediately falter and he'd look over at Gintoki in surprise when Namida says he nearly ran her over.

''You what?! Gin-san, you're asking to get arrested.''

Gintoki only sighs in irritation, ''I don't even remember her, but running her over wasn't my intention. She was probably one of those idiots who stand in the middle of the street.''

Although, he'd notice the way Namida looked on edge. It was something Gintoki would sometimes deal with if a person knew about his past when he was in a war. He had unfortunately made a name for himself because of everything that happened back then. At the very least, he didn't carry around an actual sword like back then, it was a wooden one, same as Shinpachi since he wasn't someone who enjoyed killing unless necessary.

''Sorry. I didn't mean to nearly run you over.'' Gintoki would then say, feeling bad given the way her body language currently was. He didn't want to start things by being on her bad side since she was important to Kagura.

This is going to be a catch all for the 2024 is coming to the end meme going around.

I just want to say, thank you to all the people who interacted with me during my layoff period from May to August as those months were filled with anxiety about not making money to pay bills and help with my mom's own money issues.

But I am also glad about the early year stuff too. And the end of the year things as well. Also, I am so happy that a lot of people like my Gintoki. It really means a lot to me because Gintoki is my favorite ( I should stress shonen here ) of all time. I am glad that I am not being too out of character when writing him or any of my Gintama muses to be completely honest.

Anyways, even though I lost some connections this year due to various things, I am glad people stuck with me in 2024. It really does mean a lot to me.
