Actually wait I had another idea for what to swap, that being the Kingdom Gingerbrave group with the Ancients

But also it won’t be like a one to one swap, mostly because I feel like White Lily and Dark Cacao don’t have easy swaps, and same for the Common trio. They all keep their personalities too, it’s just changed their roles

Maybe one of them can have Chili Pepper’s “the only adult here” thing, but I’m not sure who

Also with it, the Gingerbrave squad get the more fantasy/detailed designs, while the Ancients now have simpler, probably more modern looks (if I can figure out how that would look)

Honestly the only issue is that Custard III and Chili Pepper have basically been dropped from the plot since the Dark Cacao story. But ah well I guess

I just thought of the concept of y/n cookie that was baked with a phenix feather, giving them the ability to bounce back after crumbling in a flash of flames, and also having fiery wings like one.

They must have lived during the reign of the beasts even before they were corrupted. Of course they liked to joke around with them and even spend most of their days with them, Burning spice most likely liked them the most due to being very durable in fights and being able to bounce back even after being crumbled.

But when the beasts became corrupted, y/n cookie used their powers to protect the other cookies from the wrath of the beasts, becoming a known hero in beast-yeast and even other places around Crispia. Sadly theres only so much one can handle.

In pure desperation and simply being exhausted after fighting for so long, they just fell down and didn’t get up, even their wings and embers becoming dim.

After the beasts realized they really might have killed whom they loved and admired they couldn’t even get a chance at making things better before they were sealed away.

But as years passed, Y/n cookie finally regained enough of their energy to wake up, though their embers have not fully came back, even if they can have the power they had back in their prime, they just remain as their charred and wilted form so no one can recognize them.

But when the gingerbrave and the squad take them to beast-yeast, the beasts can’t fully recognize y/n cookie but feel some deja-vu.

Talk about a reunion with a semi-crispy birb

Ancient Night AU

All of the Ancients fall into the Ultimate dough but they manage to escape but their soul jams leave behind traces of the ancients that get baked into Dark Enchantress.

Red Velvet is adopted by White Lily and Pure Vanilla and he only has one arm but he’s happy with his new mom and dad.

After Dark Enchantress is sealed away, Pure Vanilla is put into a coma from the explosion and his friends are devastated. They place him in a special coffin with locks that can only be opened by the soul jams. When they leave, as a last cruel joke, Dark Enchantress seals off the Vanilla kingdom, preventing anyone from entering it to see if Pure Vanilla is alive.

Dark Cacao begins to worry that dark forces will use his son and unleash Dark Enchantress back into the world. He sends out search parties to find his son and destroy the Strawberry Jam Sword.

Hollyberry’s appoints Pitaya Dragon as her kingdom’s guardian after Tiger Lily goes missing, often heading out to see is she can find her but never finding anything which leaves her feeling defeated

Golden Cheese’s kingdom isn’t destroyed but she did lose almost all of her people (not by death, they all evacuated but they were displaced) except for Burnt Cheese, Smoked Cheese, Mozzarella and Fettuccine.

White Lily takes refuge in Beast Yeast with Elder Faerie and Red Velvet follows her. However, Pomegranate brainwashes RV and makes him bake the Cake army (yes he gets his cake arm in the process)

Years pass and GingerBrave and his friends come into play. Dark Enchantress creates an illusion of Pure Vanilla Cookie and she ends up using that to make GingerBrave and Friends release her. Upon her release, she cackles and says that Pure Vanilla is most likely dead by now as no one can access his castle which horrifies GingerBrave and Co.

Right after this, Dark Cacao emerges and he is upset that four kids and a young adult were tricked into freeing DE. He introduces himself as Cacao Cookie and he joins their party, saying that he’s searching for his son Dark Choco Cookie. They find Dark Choco and Cacao freaking tackle hugs him, making him drop the Strawberry Jam Sword and freeing Choco’s mind. Cacao apologizes again and again for being a terrible father because he was too focused on keeping Choco safe. Choco and Cacao are crying messes by the end of it and Cacao is like “fuck it, you’re staying by my side because I want to mend our relationship.”

Red Velvet and Pastry’s altercation happens and RV is snapped out of his Brain washed state and he is PISSED. He has the Cake Army attack Pomegranate and Pastry starts helping him attack Pomegranate. After Pomegranate flees, RV has a long cry because he is deeply upset about what he was forced to do. Pastry comforts him and they secretly start dating

The first Kingdom the Squad visits is the Hollyberry Kingdom. Hollyberry’s been away for a while (hunting down her missing granddaughter) and Pitaya Dragons been acting weird. Cacao witnesses Shady Noble putting something in Pitaya’s Berry juice and Pitaya looks like they’re trying to resist something before they attack. Hollyberry arrives, unfortunately she has to beat the snot out of Pitaya and after they’re freed from the mind control, Pitaya points out the Shady Noble (who gets Tackled by Cacao because he tried to run) and the Shady Noble is arrested. Pitaya apologizes for anything they did while the mind control was active and they go to get some rest. Hollyberry and Cacao share a kiss and Hollyberry puts a ring on Cacao’s finger, basically saying that She’s gonna marry Cacao once DE is defeated for good

The Cacao Kingdom is next and Cacao is PISSED that Affogato userped his throne, banished his best watcher (Carrow), almost starved multiple villages (thank god for Hollyberry bringing 10 army’s worth of food) as well as bragging about being the reason Choco went after the sword because he was mad that Caramel Arrow was Dating Choco. Cacao confronts them and Pomegranate casts a spell on him, making him go berserk but this time he brutally attacks the CoD, sending them running before he calms down.

The next thing that happens is the Golden Cheese Kingdom. Let’s just say it goes 10 times smoother because Golden Cheese didn’t digitize everything. Smoked Cheese also doesn’t try to steal the soul jam but instead he gives it to Golden Cheese as she was using it as a power source. Burnt Cheese is expressing slight annoyance as he has no idea where the rest of the Golden Cheese Kingdom citizens went but Golden Cheese says that she has her little family and that they’re her greatest treasure.

The last kingdom to come into play is the Silver Kingdom (White Lily brings the Silver Kingdom with her when she returns to Crispia). Cacao and Elder Faerie get along right away and Choco points out how similar they look.

Finally we get to the Creme Republic. The meeting takes place in the Cookie Kingdom and Clotted Cream explains that there might be a way to break the barrier over the Vanilla Kingdom. The Ancients are intrigued when Elder Faerie chimes in and he mentions the Beasts. The ancients are a bit shocked except for White Lily who’s been putting up with Shadow Milk shenanigans for a while now. However, the Beasts have no interest to reclaim their Soul Jams because they realize that their successors are better off with them. Clotted Cream invites the Ancients and their friends/families to the Creme Republic so that they can figure out a way to get to Beast Yeast because White Lily was carried by Elder Faerie back to Crispia. The soul jam shenanigans happen but at the same time, something else is going down

So… apocalyptic AU but Mc is a dragon…. This is long because I went on a rant… sorry!

Y/N Dragon Cookie is the oldest(and looks like their 20 years old) and most powerful dragon on Earthbread. But non of the other dragon have seen them. As well as other cookies haven’t seen them, well until Y/N Dragon Cookie “visits” their kingdom.

Y/n Dragon has destroyed thousands of kingdoms over their time on Earthbread, taking the most treasured thing the Kingdoms’ have.

One day, Y/n Dragon Cookie finds out about the Soul Jam and wanted it to be part of their hoard, so they went into their cookie form to bend in and began to help the Gingerbrave squad.

Gingerbrave and his friends were amazed but also confused, “How come a normal cookie can have so much power?” “It’s like their not even a cookie”

Soon, Gingerbrave squad became obsessed with the dragon cookie. And soon, the Ancients, legendary cookies, normal citizens of kingdoms, the cookies of darkness and even the other dragons!

At first, Y/N Dragon Cookie was fine the Ancients obsession of them because it makes it easier to get their Soul Jam but soon, they began to get scared and confused.

“Do Cookies normally act this way to other Cookies?”

Soon every cookie(besides from children and the elders) began to ask for Y/N Dragon Cookie’s hand in marriage.

Y/n Dragon Cookie, in a desperate attempt to escape, turned into their real form, their dragon form, in front of everyone.

But that plan failed because they are now trapped in a golden cage that is call the Cookie Castle. Now worshiped by the leaders of different Kingdoms and their citizens.

Every Cookie was thinking the same thing when they saw the belove’s dragon form, “How could we be so lucky to have such a beautiful and power creature in our grasp~?”

Oh and the Ancients and Clotted Cream Cookie are still trying to marry their dragon!

“Say, have you been thinking about my proposal at all? I am eager for your decision.”

Oh great. The marriage proposal he keeps nagging you about. What did you care for him? Nothing. Marriage is a big joke anyway with a stupid cookie like him.

“…Not answering I see. It’s alright, someday you will be in my arms: as lovers.”

"Have you tried kissing her?"

The question was sudden, unexpected.

Pure Vanilla, eyes wide open in shock, turned to stare in Gingerbrave's direction, the one who had asked the question in the first place.

"P-pardon?-" The vanilla kingdom's king and healer stuttered out, stunned by the far younger boy's question.

"There's no way she doesn't still have some of her own life powder left, wouldn't her body be all crumbled if she didn't?" Gingerbrave continued, crossing his arms as he raised an eyebrow. The gingerbread cookie had a slight frown to his face.

"G-Gingerbrave-"

"I'm not wrong! Dark Enchantress couldn't have all of her life powder even if she wanted to, most of it maybe, but not all of it." The young cookie's frown grew, his stance shifting as he placed his hands on his hips.

"We have her soul! We just need to put it with her body, and wake her up."

Pure Vanilla went to speak, "That isn't how that-" yet he was cut off by a hand on his shoulder.

"It's worth a try." Dark Cacao said, his voice a low rumble.

"Cacao?! You can't be-"

"It's settled then." Elder Faerie interrupted, and Pure Vanilla turned his head to the two taller men in astonishment. Were they out of their minds?!

Gingerbrave, alongside the two cookies who had chosen to ignore the healer's distress, rushed over to the glass casket, Pure Vanilla scrambling after the sound of their footsteps through confused stutters.

"T-this is insane! There's no way this is going to work! W-we're not in some fairytale!" Pure Vanilla murmured in a scattered manner, pacing back and forth as the three cookies worked to lift the lid off the casket.

"'Nilla," Dark Cacao's voice piped up, causing the healer to stop in his tracks, lifting his head in his direction.

"When was the last time we, as a group, had a normal day?" The emperor asked, tilting his head to the side. "We practically are living in a fairytale, this is at least something we can give an attempt."

Pure Vanilla narrowed his eye, before letting out soft sigh as he realized that Dark Cacao did have a point. The taller man was right, a normal day wasn't something they ever had, and it certainly wasn't something they were going to have anytime soon.

Yet this still felt wrong.

It felt selfish, in a way, to try and see if a kiss would wake White Lily. Was it really to wake her?

Or was it to finally get something out of the centuries-long pining all three of them experienced for her? To feel some closure before they went through with what they knew would work?

"Pure Vanilla." Elder Faerie's voice snapped the healer from his thoughts, his head turning to follow the sound of the fae's voice. "It is not wise to dwell."

"I know you're stuck on the morality of this, and I do understand, but we have all suffered many losses throughout these years. I believe we can allow ourselves this moment of selfishness, if only on the prospect that it may just work."

The healer could feel a soft, sleeve covered hand on his cheek, a huffy sigh falling from his lips as he allowed himself to close his eyes, leaning into the touch from the fae king.

"…Alright." His shoulders slumping as he resigned, allowing Elder Faerie to turn him to face the casket.

Cautiously, Pure Vanilla moved forward, reaching his free hand foward into the now open casket, his nimble fingers prodding hesitantly at White Lily's still body.

His fingers glided over her body, feeling the almost searing warmth still radiating off of it…Gingerbrave had been right, she still had some of her own life powder, though a very small amount.

"Place her soul jam here, please." The healer instructed, as his hand found where he could feel light thump of her heart in her chest.

Gingerbrave did as told, placing the soul jam, the pieces of White Lily's soul, under Pure Vanilla's hand, before backing away.

A soft sigh left the cookie's lips as he stood there, furrowing his brow. He was unable to shake the feeling that this was wrong, but he knew he had to push forward.

He felt Dark Cacao's hand on his own, then the shift of the larger male's fingers as he entwined them with the healer's. He could feel one of Elder Faerie's more slender, cold, hands join the connection, carefully lacing between the other two's hands.

Pure Vanilla knew they were trying to reassure him, and deep down, he appreciated it.

The fae king brought his other hand to White Lily's head, gently placing it atop her hair, to brush aside her disheveled bangs with silent care.

"…Okay, let's do this…" Pure Vanilla murmured, hesitance still lingering in his voice despite forcing himself to push past it.

The three all leaned over the edge of the casket, Pure Vanilla and Dark Cacao pressing small, light kisses to White Lily's cheeks, while Elder Faerie kissed her forehead.

They were late to notice it, but the moment their lips touched her skin, her soul jam snapped back together, pulling itself into place with strings of light.

Out of the corners of their eyes, the fae king and the emperor spotted something. As the soul jam rebuilt itself, White Lily's fingers twitched, her hand balling up into a fist the moment it was solidly back together.

The two cookies lifted their heads, looking between each other and Pure Vanilla, who had dipped his head to rest his forehead against White Lily's cheek.

The healer lifted his head only slightly, opening his mouth to speak, in a somber tone.

"…It didn't work, did i-"

Yet he was cut off, as a gasp sounded just beside him, and something firmly collided with his head as it rose.

Pure Vanilla couldn't help but yelp in surprise as he tumbled back, falling onto his ass with a loud thud. His head was throbbing, but he could hear breathing different from Elder Faerie's and Dark Cacao's.

Quicker, more panicked, like waking up from a cold sweat.

It didn't take the healer more than a second to realize, his wide sightless eyes filling with tears as he shot to his feet, quite literally jumping at the white haired cookie.

"It worked!" He shouted as he tightly wrapped his arms around White Lily, much to her surprise. His hold on her was firm, almost suffocating, but could anyone blame him?

"Wh…what?…" Her voice was quiet, as she stared in confusion. "…Pure- Pure Vanilla?…"

"Hey," White Lily's gaze snapped to her side, her eyes widening. "I'm here too." And Dark Cacao smiled at her, his usually hardened gaze softening as he moved closer.

The emperor's arms found purchase around her and Pure Vanilla, Elder Faerie joining the hug just as quickly, the fae king's face nestling into the soft white hair of the other cookie.

"D-Dark Cacao…wh-what's…what are you two doing here?…" White Lily stumbled over her words, trying desperately, and eventually managing to, get her words out, to question what two of the cookies she had known since her childhood were doing in the Faerie Kingdom, hell, beast-yeast in general.

"We're here for you." The two answered in unison, without missing a beat. She was somewhat taken aback by how quickly they answered, no hesitation in their voices.

Before she could speak again, the three men had tightened their arms around her, causing her to release a small huff as her gaze softened.

"There are things we need your help with, White Lily," Elder Faerie began, yet his gaze was gentler, not quite anything akin to a leader's gaze.

"But, I believe we all need some time, before we deal with our issues."

The fae king brought his free hand up, gently clasping one of the white haired cookie's bandaged hands. He pulled her hand up to his face, turning his head to press his nose into her palm, gently kissing the green wrappings.

White Lily's face flushed a bright red as she watched Elder Faerie, a small squeak managing it's way out of her throat.

"Elder Faerie-" White Lily tried to speak, but cut herself off with a yelp as the fae king climbed up into the casket with her and Pure Vanilla, tugging the emperor on the other side of the casket up with him.

Both White Lily and Pure Vanilla were caught off guard as they were sandwitched between the two taller, and larger (on Cacao's end), cookies.

Before Pure Vanilla knew it, Elder Faerie had begun to smother his face with kisses, causing him to squeal as his cheeks burned strawberry red.

Soft laughter filled the area, an uncharacteristically bright smile on White Lily's face as they took turns showering each other with affectionate gestures. Loud purring rumbled from Elder Faerie and Dark Cacao, both usual stoic cookies smiling just as warmly as Pure Vanilla would normally.

It was an unexpected sight, the four cookies laughing and smiling brightly. It offered some hope.

For the moment, they had all decided,

everything else could wait until later.

i've been rereading and rereading and rereading the fic series over and over and over. i thought the custard cookie iii fans had either mostly dimmed out or migrated. i only saw a fanart of the bluebell au by chance and got excited enough to see an old hypfix in the dash that i found the fic and god. i am so happy to see another cciii fan in here. you've got me watching all the new beast-yeast storyline eps for this. god you nail shadow milk's voice so well but also i've just listened to his eng voice actor and he truly does sound silly. his english voice actor is doing really well for a first impression. i might be developing another character fixation but who the hell knows. all i can say is that i am back in low-content crk hell where this time i might start actually writing for it. FUCK.

also slightly off-topic what was he doing. no i am serious what was custard cookie iii (who CANNOT be older than like 10) doing on his own chasing a puppy with a crown and when he gets adopted by a bunch of friends there is no alert raised. where was he living before that??? who was taking care of him??? why was no one looking for him??? we know his family lineage and that's like. most of everything. WHAT was that child doing. i would shake him like a pinata but i don't think he deserves that. devsisters i will shake YOU like a pinata because WHY are there so many underdeveloped characters.

IM SOBBING AT THE FIRST PART TYSM IM SO GLAD YOU ARE ENJOYING THE AU AND THAT THE CUSTARD CLAN HASNT DIED OUT JUST YET!

for the second part, I totally get the frustration with the underdeveloped characters, and as for what custard was doing for me it really depends on the au/headcanon I'm going for. I only have 1 au where i hc him older than 11 and thats specifically because its an au set in the future of another au thats dark choco centric, and i often go for around 9, (technically it makes him 6-8 when he first meets the crew because his birthday is implied to be the anniversary date and at least 1 year has passed since he canonically attended Holly's year end ball)

I literally have an au where they spawned in one day because of a wish(an old friend of pure vanillas who wished to help him like he helped them as a form of good karma gets their wish fulfilled and the magic granted to them by vanilla becomes custard iii hence how they share similar abilities and custard is so attached to vani). And "dad" in their memories is just what they used to look like, with the old soul looking after him if he needs it.

In a fairly canon timeline I see that custard was raised by his dad, who went out the day before the adventure started and didn't come back, and custard left to go and find him, and ends up getting adopted by several parental/carer figures including but not limited to: chili pepper, rye, dark choco, madeleine, pure vanilla, dark cacao, tea knight, crunchy chip and c-arrow.

And also gets 3 new siblings in Gingerbrave Strawberry and Wizard, and forms a small chaos squad with Poison mushroom, Strawberry crepe and snapdragon.

As for what happened to his dad, idk rlly. Part of me wants to do a tiger lily conspiracy in that the St pastry order kidnapped tiger lily for her connection to holly(and by extension eternal sugar and mystic flour) and lost her when butter tiger showed up to protect her and that something similar happened to custards dad and he's currently in their hold.

Or in a complete curve ball I could say that Custard iii was kidnapped and escaped, but did not realise he was being kidnapped in his childish naivety.

Until devsis gives us more crumbs this is the best we got.

If I’m being honest, I think I see Pure Vanilla as the weakest Ancient. Not physically, I just mean character wise

Like I don’t know, I’m just not that interested in seeing stories with him? It’s not that I can’t like him, I just feel like I haven’t seen much interesting with him, and in turn I don’t care as much

Maybe part of it is the groups he’s in when he’s in stories, because I feel like he’s usually just a side character in them. Like he gets screen time, but he is just part of the group, not a main character. Maybe part of it is how much he gets put with Gingerbrave and the gang. While again, I like Gingerbrave, when he’s in a story, he’s usually one of the main characters, meaning Pure Vanilla gets tossed to the side

I don’t know if this is correct, since I don’t think I have this problem with the other Ancients, but I feel like Pure Vanilla being so tied to them is hindering him

Like I’d be down for the Shadow Milk story to be just Pure Vanilla, or him and Black Raisin, but I really doubt that’ll be the case. The Gingerbrave squad will likely be there since they’re all traveling together

ahem. first things first. cookie run hyperfix is back. so i'll very likely. go back to the standard artstyle i have for it. mostly because gingerbrave specifically is a pain to design in the more stylized artstyle and i honest to god cannot continue if it happens. hope it is understandable!!

SECOND. we will have SIX FUNNY LITTLE GUYS instwad of just 5 now!!!!. the first 5 are the ones you know by know. but the sixth will appear at a later arc addition!!!

THIRD. i'm overhauling most of the story. bc of crk events and the near release of witch's castle. be patient story wise (it's been like 4 ywars. sorry/gen)

It's Twizzy's turn! Another fine example of my kingdom's rule: "All crimes are forgiven if i find you amusing."

Anywho, her arrival was quite shocking to Gingerbrave and the squad, but i had no clue what was going on so i just ended up embracing her aggresion like a dummy 😭 Her destructive power can be nicely channeled into exploration though, and since Time jumpers are no problem for her it makes gathering materials a lot easier! When she feels like helping out.. It's oddly motivating to have her on your side, her.. shall we say passionate voice really motivates you to blast through enemies.

And yes, i adore her voice! (Though i adore everyone's voice bjsh-) I could listen to her for hours, especially with all the sound-effects she makes by herself haha! It's also quite nice that i can just let her speak - i get to listen, she gets to unwind - it's a win-win! :D

I'm debating on getting her some new clothing just like with Spinach, since 1: her outfit is absolutely not snow-appropriate, and 2: i worry for her wires.. Ah, but i'm afraid she'll think i'm being too soft and blast me to shreds..

Regardless, i will make her a cake and she will eat it! Taste the friendship and maybe you'l calm down you angy gummy worm!♡

BWAHAJEJS- Yeah, her energy is… well… it’s definitely there!!! It kinda makes me forget I’m supposed to fight against her sometimes; it’s just so contagious!! But yeah, whenever she comes to our Kingdom, it DEFINITELY works in our favor. She’s mega powerful, she loves to fight, she seems to like finding new places; sounds like a good deal to me! Certainly must be a good deal for you too, seeing as how the explorations give you two an excuse to spend time together~! I bet it gives her a good excuse to show-off to ya too! But ah, here I go describing scenarios you’ve probably already experienced.

But man, I can only imagine what kind of conversations y’all have. Ahh… to be a fly on the wall during those moments…

Mmmmmmmm…. yeah though, getting her new clothes would probably be a good idea… but I don’t think she’d mind too much!! Just don’t tell her that it’s for the cold; simply say that the fit looked cool and that she might be interested! As long as it’s a sick fit, I’m sure she’d be down for it! I think Sour Belt would be PERFECT for the job tbh!!

asking abt city of wizards arc mhehe

So I’m splitting the arc into two half’s, the dream team and the irl squad.

I haven’t got the details down but basically something (a curse???) is keeping moonlight from waking up, and even if she wishes to she’s unable. And the gang need t explore the city in dreams and the ruined remains in reality to do so.

The dream gang consist of- gingerbrave, wizard, strawberry, eclair, and Milky Way. It’s pretty similar to the world 15 story but with some added stuff also an adult.

The ruins gang consists of chili pepper, custard cookie III, Amber sugar, and blueberry pie.

I can elaborate on stuff if prompted but basically once they wake up moonlight she’s like “wait something’s about to go down” and that’s when stardust shows up fucking pissed!

See he visited the ruins earlier and learned the truth of his birth and went to space to sulk about it. Now with the anger of stars behind him he’s going to destroy the city that dared to discard so many souls for being ‘imperfect’
