This full Moon has also been called the Long Night Moon (Mohican), as it rises during the “longest” nights of the year, near the December winter solstice. This name is doubly fitting because December’s full Moon shines above the horizon for a more extended period than most full Moons.
• This December is unique because there will be TWO new Moons. This is called a Black Moon.
A Black Moon is a special kind of New Moon, just as a Blue Moon is a special kind of Full Moon. Neither are astronomical terms; both are catch phrases for an unusual lunar calendar occurrence. For this reason, the definition of a Black Moon can vary and may refer to:
-The second new Moon in a month. This is the definition of Black Moon that’s used most often & it’s the most common. It occurs once every 29 months.
-The third new Moon in a season of four New Moons. Every season (spring, summer, fall, winter) has 3 months & 3 new Moons. However, occasionally (every 33 months), there is a season with 4 new Moons. In this case, the third New Moon is called a Black Moon.
-When there are NO new Moons in a month. This can only happen in February since it’s the only calendar month that is shorter (28 days) than the lunar month. When there is not a new Moon in February, there will be two new Moons for both January & March. It’s a rare occurrence (every 19 years or so) and the next one isn’t until 2033.

“Yule” comes from Old English geol, which shares a history with the equivalent word from Old Norse, jól. Both these words referred to a midwinter festival centered around the winter solstice, which traditionally marked the halfway point of the winter season. After the solstice—the shortest day of the year—the days again begin to grow longer, so it’s thought that Yule was a celebration of the re-appearance of the Sun &the fertile land’s rebirth.
• The celebration of Yule is one of the oldest winter celebrations in the world. Ancient people were hunters & spent most of their time outdoors. The seasons & weather played a significant part in their lives. The customs & traditions associated with it vary widely. Scholars have connected the original celebrations of Yule to the Wild Hunt, the god Odin & the heathen Anglo-Saxon Mōdraniht (“Mothers’ Night”)
• Some believe it marks the rebirth of the Sun (the God) from the Earth (the Goddess) & the cold days of winter will soon begin to wane. The Goddess is seen in her virgin Maiden aspect
In towns and cities throughout Sweden during the Christmas season, large goats are constructed out of straw. It is thought that the tradition originated in ancient times, perhaps as a tribute to the god Thor, who was said to ride in a chariot pulled by goats. In Sweden the goat came to be associated with the Christmas celebration & the Yule goat is now considered by many to be a companion or counterpart to Santa Claus.
This connects to ancient proto-Slavic beliefs where the Koliada (Yule) festival honors the god of the fertile sun & the harvest. This god, Devac (also known as Dazbog or Dažbog), was represented by a white goat. Consequently the Koliada festivals always had a person dressed as a goat, often demanding offerings in the form of presents. A man-sized goat figure is known from 11th-century remembrances of Childermas, where it was led by a man dressed as Saint Nicholas, symbolizing his control over the Devil.
Related festivals:
•Christmas- December 25th:
An annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ as the son of God. For Christians, believing that God came into the world in the form of man to atone for the sins of humanity rather than knowing Jesus's exact birth date is considered to be the primary purpose of celebrating Christmas.
Hanukkah-December 25-January 2nd:
A Jewish festival commemorating the recovery of Jerusalem & subsequent rededication of the Second Temple at the beginning of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the 2nd century BCE.
Hanukkah is observed for eight nights & days, starting on the 25th day of Kislev according to the Hebrew calendar, which may occur at any time from late November to late December in the Gregorian calendar. The festival is observed by lighting the candles of a candelabrum with nine branches, commonly called a menorah or hanukkiah.
Kwanzaa-December 26th-January 1st:
An annual celebration of African-American culture, culminating in a communal feast called Karamu, usually on the sixth day. It was created by activist Maulana Karenga, based on African harvest festival traditions from various parts of West & Southeast Africa. Kwanzaa was first celebrated in 1966.
A Kwanzaa ceremony may include drumming and musical selections, libations, a reading of the African Pledge & the Principles of Blackness, reflection on the Pan-African colors, a discussion of the African principle of the day or a chapter in African history, a candle-lighting ritual, artistic performance & finally, a feast of faith (Karamu Ya Imani).
Saturnalia- December 17-23rd:
An ancient Roman festival and holiday in honour of the god Saturn, The holiday was celebrated with a sacrifice at the Temple of Saturn, in the Roman Forum & a public banquet, followed by private gift-giving, continual partying & a carnival atmosphere that overturned Roman social norms: gambling was permitted & masters provided table service for their slaves as it was seen as a time of liberty for both slaves & freedmen alike.
A common custom was the election of a “King of the Saturnalia”, who gave orders to people, which were followed & presided over the merrymaking. The gifts exchanged were usually gag gifts or small figurines made of wax or pottery known as sigillaria. The poet Catullus called it “the best of days”.
Other celebrations:
Feast of Epona- December 18th:
Eponalia is the feast day of Gaulish Goddess Epona, the Divine Mare & in the time of the Roman Empire
Epona is known to be one of a very few Gaulish deities whose names were spread to the rest of the Roman Empire. This seems to have happened because Roman cavalry units stationed in Gaul followed her & adopted her as their Patroness. This may have started because many of the cavalry troops were conscripted from Gaul as they were superb horsemen. From Gaul the Romans took Epona with them including to Rome where She was given her own feast day on the 18 December. They worshipped her as Epona Augusta or Epona Regina & invoked her on behalf of the Emperor. She even had a shrine in the barracks of the Imperial Bodyguard.
Hunting of the Wren-December 26th:
A traditional custom carried out on the Isle of Man on  St. Stephen’s Day. It consists of groups of people going around villages and towns singing and dancing a traditional song and dance around a decorated wren pole.
The earliest and most common folklore story accounting for the origin of hunt the wren tells of a fairy/enchantress/witch whose beauty lures the men of the Isle of Man to harm, for which she is chased and is changed into the form of a wren. It is therefore in punishment for her actions that the wren is hunted on St. Stephen’s Day

once more into the fray of right on time
What is the character’s go-to drink order? Jay will order a 'highball' and the bartender knows to make him a glass of ginger ale with a fancy fruit stake. As for coffee he can't have caffeine or his heart WILL probably explode, so he sticks to chamomile.
What is their grooming routine? Like Daisy's, it's got seven thousand steps and a million different creams and balms and salves and so on, and that's all kept in the bathroom. He picked that habit up from...someone else. But on his vanity in the bedroom he just has his golden hairbrush. In case someone were to come in, wonder if he's vain, and see that golden brush and think "oh no he doesn't put too much thought into these things"...
What was their most expensive purchase/where does their disposable income go? Cars. Cars. Cars. More cars. He couldn't afford Hot Wheels as a kid so now he just buys the real thing. Funny enough, his daily driver is a stupid custom Tesla that he hates, but he would feel ungrateful if he didn't drive it into the ground because Elon Musk gave it to him in exchange for opening a twitter account. He barely tolerates the thing though. It doesn't sound like a car :((((((((((((( he like vroom vroom :((((((((((
Do they have any scars or tattoos? He and Daisy have matching tattoos, again very well hidden and tiny. His is a 'D' on his pinkie underneath his signet ring. It pulls double time for Dan and Daisy though...in case he ever forgets his bad decisions :///
What was the last time they cried, and under what circumstances? He cried when Nick refused to let him call his coke dealer. Like yes, he was fresh off of a cardiac arrest and getting shot. Coke would probably fix that right ? Right ?????
Are they an oldest, middle, youngest or only child? Only child, only son, the only hope for the Gatz line and he couldn't even stay a Gatz.
Describe the shoes they’re wearing. For just everyday I can picture him wearing Louboutin Urbino Derbies in the color "Goose". He has a lot of redbottoms because they're flashy and expensive and he feels like they're a good representation of his status. The old money bitches laugh at him for it.
Describe the place where they sleep. Same place as where Nick sleeps...technically. He naps a lot at his desk, surrounded by papers that would put him on ten different lists if he wasn't 'in' with the gov't.
What is their favorite holiday? Valentine's Day. He loves having a valentine and making nick little cards and leaving presents around the house and ordering flowers and going on a dinner date and ordering more flowers and eating cookies and candy and ordering more flowers and eating heartfuls of chocolate and ordering more flowers—
What objects do they always carry around with them? Money clip, wallet, iPhone, and probably this exact glock. just because I don't like guns doesn't mean jay isn't a paranoid american

Can you answer all the “Cozy Tea-Themed OC Asks” for Roxanne and Asabé? (they deserves more love 🩷).
Awww sure! I love them too. I haven't forgotten about them! I'm glad you're taking a liking to them too!
Roxanne Abaza
English Breakfast: What is your OC’s morning routine?
Roxanne wakes up whenever she can't hit the snooze button any longer, and practically oozes out of bed to go and wash up and brush her teeth. If she was responsible the night before, there's a fresh joint rolled up which she smokes on her little balcony while going over mission dossiers.
Earl Grey: Does your OC like to read? What is their taste in books?
Roxanne does like to read! When she first matriculated to Jujutsu Tech [she was in Nanami's cohort] she hit the books to catch up. She was a self-taught sorcerer, so she knew nothing about Japanese sorcery or even Buddhism. She ends up taking a huge interest in Japanese history and religious texts.
Darjeeling: Where does your OC feel most at home?
Roxanne feels most at home AT HOME. She loves being at her apartment, curled up with a mug of tea, some good music playing, and her tablet. And also her fat tuxedo cat, Ichi.
Oolong: How does your OC decorate their space?
Tumblr media
Lapsang Souchong: If your OC was a scented candle, what would they smell like?
Roxanne's scented candle would be sandalwood.
Chai: What is your OC’s comfort food/drink?
Roxanne loves drinking apple juice and eating shortbread cookies.
Pu-erh: What does your OC do when they’re stuck indoors for a day or two?
Roxanne will sleep if she's indoors too long. She works long hours as a special grade sorcerer so she takes her days off very seriously.
Green: What is your OC’s favorite piece of clothing?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Roxanne is a goth girl. Leather, lace, and steel.
Jasmine: Does your OC like flowers? Which type of flower is their favorite?
Roxanne loves flowers. Her favorite flowers are lily and oleander.
Matcha: What is your OC’s preferred little treat?
Roxy will never turn down mochi. Ever. Gojo frequently uses this to bribe her into helping him with his mission reports.
Lemon Balm: Does your OC have any bedtime habits or rituals?
Roxanne does her usual standing in the kitchen munching instant noodles while Ichi follows her around. Then she'll watch a few episodes of her favorite show on Netflix, do her skincare routine, and head to bed. If Nanami is staying the night, then it's time for SEX.
Peppermint: How does your OC handle the cold?
Roxanne does not like the cold, but she does love bundling up with Nanami in the winter.
Rooibos: What kind of lighting does your OC prefer? Dim, bright, moody, secret fourth thing?
Roxanne likes natural lighting. Unfortunately, her little apartment doesn't have that so she likes soft, dim ambient light.
Chamomile: What does your OC do to relax?
Roxanne smokes...a lot...of weed. Gojo is technically her plug, but she's got other options.
Ginger: What always brightens your OC’s day?
Nanami. He brings her fresh lilies, makes sure she has a proper meal [he insists that she stop subsisting on instant ramen], and takes care of Ichi, who adores him.
Tumblr media
Asabé Hayashi
English Breakfast: What is your OC’s morning routine?
Asabé usually wakes up early, washes up, and makes breakfast for herself and whoever else is in the house [in this case, just Gojo if he hasn't left already]. She prefers tea in the mornings.
Earl Grey: Does your OC like to read? What is their taste in books?
Asabé prefers audiobooks to actual reading. Allows her to handle household tasks while she listens to her favorite books. She loves listening to podcast stories!
Darjeeling: Where does your OC feel most at home?
Asabé's situation is interesting because she's never really felt at home. Even with her late husband, she always felt like a ghost moving through her life. It's not until she meets Gojo she starts to 'wake up' as it were. So one could say Gojo's place feels like home to her after a while.
Oolong: How does your OC decorate their space?
Tumblr media
Lots of green, growing things.
Lapsang Souchong: If your OC was a scented candle, what would they smell like?
Asabé's scent would be lavender.
Chai: What is your OC’s comfort food/drink?
Asabé loves chamomile tea with a splash of milk and a dollop of honey, and those Danish cookies that no one has ever seen in life. It's not a sewing kit!
Pu-erh: What does your OC do when they’re stuck indoors for a day or two?
Asabé tends to household chores if she's stuck in the house. She likes to be productive and organized. If Gojo is there...they are going to have sex at some point.
Green: What is your OC’s favorite piece of clothing?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first is her bridal crown. It's an old, old family heirloom. The second, is her little black dress.
Jasmine: Does your OC like flowers? Which type of flower is their favorite?
Asabé loves flowers. Her favorite flower is hibiscus.
Matcha: What is your OC’s preferred little treat?
Asabé treats herself to a cigarette when she's stressed.
Lemon Balm: Does your OC have any bedtime habits or rituals?
Asabé makes sure the kitchen is cleaned, then she sees to taking a nice hot shower, doing her skincare routine, wrapping her hair, and then collapsing into bed at the end of the day. She is very much the housewife type.
Peppermint: How does your OC handle the cold?
She hates it. But after years of living in Japan, she's grown accustomed to winter.
Rooibos: What kind of lighting does your OC prefer? Dim, bright, moody, secret fourth thing?
Asabé likes natural light. She loves being in the sunlight [Gojo likes her in the sunlight too].
Chamomile: What does your OC do to relax?
Asabé likes to sit on the balcony or porch and meditate. She loves to turn her brain off and just exist outside amidst all her plants and be. She also loves to sing. Since her technique is cursed voice, she sings to make her plants grow.
Ginger: What always brightens your OC’s day?
Tending to her plants or garden! And when he's NOT being irritating, Gojo!

Today, December’s full Moon is most commonly known as the Cold Moon—a Mohawk name that conveys the frigid conditions of this time of year, when cold weather truly begins to grip us.
This full Moon has also been called the Long Night Moon (Mohican), as it rises during the “longest” nights of the year, near the December winter solstice. This name is doubly fitting because December’s full Moon shines above the horizon for a more extended period than most full Moons.
In Europe, ancient pagans called the December full Moon the “Moon Before Yule,” in honor of the Yuletide festival celebrating the return of the sun heralded by winter solstice.

The celebration of Yule is one of the oldest winter celebrations in the world. Ancient people were hunters & spent most of their time outdoors. The seasons & weather played a significant part in their lives. The customs and traditions associated with it vary widely.
Scholars have connected the original celebrations of Yule to the Wild Hunt, the god Odin, and the heathen Anglo-Saxon Mōdraniht ("Mothers' Night")
Some believe it marks the rebirth of the Sun (the God) from the Earth (the Goddess) & the cold days of winter will soon begin to wane.
In Sweden the goat came to be associated with the Christmas celebration, and the Yule goat is now considered by many to be a companion or counterpart to Santa Claus.
Related festivals:
Christmas- An annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ as the son of God, primarily observed on December 25th
Hanukkah- A Jewish festival commemorating the recovery of Jerusalem & subsequent rededication of the Second Temple at the beginning of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the 2nd century BCE.
Kwanzaa- An annual celebration of African-American culture from December 26 to January 1st, culminating in a communal feast called Karamu, usually on the sixth day.
Saturnalia-
is an ancient Roman festival and holiday in honour of the god Saturn, held on 17 December of the Julian calendar & later expanded with festivities through to 23 December. The holiday was celebrated with a sacrifice at the Temple of Saturn, in the Roman Forum & a public banquet, followed by private gift-giving, continual partying & a carnival atmosphere that overturned Roman social norms: gambling was permitted & masters provided table service for their slaves as it was seen as a time of liberty for both slaves and freedmen alike.
A common custom was the election of a "King of the Saturnalia", who gave orders to people, which were followed & presided over the merrymaking. The gifts exchanged were usually gag gifts or small figurines made of wax or pottery known as sigillaria. The poet Catullus called it "the best of days".
Other celebrations:
Feast of Epona-
Eponalia is the feast day of Gaulish Goddess Epona, the Divine Mare & in the time of the Roman Empire it was celebrated on December 18th.
Hunting of the Wren-
A traditional custom carried out on the Isle of Man on the 26 December, St. Stephen's Day.
Stephen's Day

Annoyed---I will just leave :) :) :) I refuse to get tired so that tell is probably BEING annoying so no one else can sleep either XD but yeah usually my first two big tells are mutism and flailing/excessive patting.
