Look, Gillions character development is amazing and I love that he is separating himself from the role the elders forced him into… BUT I miss Charlie announcing “I AM GILLION TIDERSTRIDER CHAMPION OF THE UNDERSEA HERO OF THE DEEP, KNIGHTER OF JULLIAN THAT ONE TIME…” literally ANY time he could. I miss the silly titles man

thinking abt how if gillion messed up once he thinks he never deserves that thing again. breaking his conch shell with edyn leading him to thinking he shouldn't own another. telling jay to hold the briefcase that gillion always used to carry as soon as it had gold and he felt he couldn't be trusted. i dont know how to articulate it but it rlly gives away how gil was treated while being raised. how if he messed up he deserves to be hurt shown best in filippe situation

Things I’ll probably never finish and stuff im not the proudest of but i made it so

listening to songs i associate with chip and gil i found myself hearing the ones put for chip like creep abt hating himself and finding so much goodness in his friend but none of that in himself but now also apply it to gil. struggling so much with socializing with other people for the first time and being envious of chip who was born up here and knows the rules instinctually. i was an island by john allison weiss was orginally so so gillion. the talk abt being so used to independence now being confronted with love and having no idea how to live with out it despite doing just that for so so long. Isolation is prevalent in chip too. they both are coming from very lonely backgrounds wher they were excpected to behave in ways to make others happy, to be accepted. dunno man they are the pairing ever they always are presented as polar opposites red and blue fire and water but they are so familar
