Ok so my limited "market research" tells me that people would rather read smaller themed short story collections. So I'm going to break up and remix my current ebook collections into "marketable" books.
I'm not just grabbing stories from the two collections but also from my website. Stories that for whatever reason I didn't include then but am now giving a second look (and editing pass) at now.

Suddenly thought (haha) about the lump of gray matter in my skull. How does it think? How does it remember? Where do these thoughts come from? Where did that thought come from? Thoughts from thoughts about thoughts. I feel hollow, empty and yearning. Yearning. For nothing, for one thing.
Stop that. Go drink some water and eat a cookie.

i was tagged by @aziz-the-fangirl, thank you!! :))
rules: answer the questions and tag people you’d like to get to know better
when is your birthday: 25.02.
where do you live: Czech Republic
three things you are doing right now: writing this, watching tiktok, convincing myself to go to bed
four fandoms that have piqued your interest: tbh i don’t really know i haven’t been watching anything lately
how has the pandemic been treating you: yeeet. idk, there are people who definitely have it worse so i shouldn’t complain. let’s just say that i’m not doing great but i wasn’t doing that great before either. i’m grateful for what i have you know and i don’t really want to talk about anything else.
a song you can’t stop listening to right now: ehh, I’ve been listening to Hogwarts March a lot lmao (the song at the end of the triwizard tournament when cedric dies lol), which is kinda random i guess. Also I listen to All The Young Dudes by David Bowie at least once a day since last February. I think both of these say a lot about where I am mentally lol.
recommend a movie: if you haven’t watched Swiss Army Man, you’re missing out a lot.
how old are you: 23
school, university, occupation, other: univeristy
do you prefer heat or cold: cold so i can hide my body in layers
name one fact others may not know about you: i was an extra for one day on Sex Education, you can see my blurry head with blue hair in the background of one of the scenes. it was pretty fun day, got paid, stood next to gilian anderson for a bit. (i have a friend who even has lines in that show)
are you shy: it depends, but probably
pronouns: she/her (but don’t be talking about me behind my back)
biggest pet peeves: hmmm when people are pretentious i guess (i study theatre so i see that a lot), also in terms of habits i guess i really hate when the furniture in our house is not aligned how i like it
what’s your favourite “dere” type: omg i had to google this and i do watch anime you know. but i seriously don’t know
rate your life from 1 to 10 (1 being crappy and 10 being the best it could be): eh i mean i have a pretty good life compared to the rest of the world so let’s give it a 7
what’s your main blog: i only have this one
list your sideblogs and what theyre used for: i don’t have any, i barely go on this one
is there something people need to know about you before becoming friends: i’ll try really hard to make you laugh but i also won’t stop with the depressive jokes
okie, i’m sorry but i suck at tagging so anyone who wants to do this, please feel free. Seriously. If you want to, consider yourself tagged and tag me so I can see :)
thanks again for tagging me :)

hahahaha Gilian being forced to change the acknowledgments for WE to put Peter's name in. I'm cackling at this. I think crossedbeams who worked for WE's publisher, and who organized a signing etc. which she spoke about back in the day on her blog, posted pics from (Gillian posted pics too with her in) might have something to say about this little tidbit. Honestly, too funny. Like hamsters on a wheel spinning those tall tales.
🙄 I said people were allowed to believe it if they wanted but considering it’s relevant today I figured I would share.
Considering the pattern of the back and forth between David and PM stuff (and that he seems very controlling), this seems completely plausible to me, just like I said in my vague reply at the time.

Bio:
Callidora Lyra Black was born on October 10th of 1915 in St. Mungo’s Hospital. Her father was delighted, her mother… not so much. Lysandra wanted a boy, a heir, and a girl was no heir, was she? Regardless of that, she received the proper education any pureblood girl of her status should have. Callie was taught everything that she needed to know and more: from languages, to the pureblood families’ history, to horse riding. She had to be the best, she had to be a worthy prize to win once she grew up and was of age to get married.
As she grew older, it became more evident that she was going to achieve her parents’ desires. Not only she was well educated and trained, but she also grew up to be a beautiful woman, the older she got the more beautiful and desired she became, she was like a fine wine. Callidora aged with beauty, even through puberty she was gorgeous and the combination of her personality and looks got her a long line of boys who wanted her.
Needless is to say that she always excelled at school, which was where she became fully aware of the amount of pressure that was on her shoulders. She was trained to be perfect, so she couldn’t be any less than that. It was difficult, to maintain that image and make it look so effortless. However, that came with a price. It was emotionally draining because in spite of everything, Callidora was still a teenager.
No one seemed to impress her, no boy was good enough for her, they all were the same, the only thing that changed was their hair color or maybe their height, but nothing else. They were all vain, self-centered, and they all had the exact same speech. Her mother was furious and had no problem on letting her know, but then Harfang came into the picture and everything started to make sense. She always had some sort of silly crush on him, but always saw him as someone unobtainable and someone that was never going to get her parents approval.
Headcanon:
Callie loves animals, she owns a cat named Calypso and an owl named Venus. But, above all things, she is obsessed with horses. She has at least 3 horses, but her favorite one is Arabella, a black andalusian thoroughbred.
Callidora loves her status and the privilege that comes with it. She likes the money, the praise, and the parties and luxury, but that doesn’t mean that she’s a prejudiced person. Sure, she’s not necessarily thrilled to share things with muggleborns or willing to let them (or anyone for that matter) take what she think it belongs to her, but she doesn’t agree with Grindewald views of the world and the same happens with Voldemort years after. To her, the world isn’t black or white, it’s a constant grey. However, as smart as she is, she knows better than to actually voice out loud her real thoughts.
She knows how to charm her way through life, but not many people really know her. On the outside, she’s polite, proper and indulging, just like a proper woman should be, but on the inside there’s so much more than that. Callidora can be really compassionate (with those she thinks they deserve her compassion and her time), generous and kind. In fact, probably only her siblings and husband know the real her.
Callie is her father’s pride and joy, all she has to do is smile brightly at him in order to get what she wants. Her mother, however, that’s a different story. No matter how hard she tries, they can never agree on anything. The truth is that Lysandra wanted a son.
The reason why she fell in love with Harfang was because he didn’t see her as a prize to win. She always felt that he saw her for who she was and not because just a pureblood and pretty face.
Callidora had always been interested in potions and healing procedures and her real ambition was to become a healer, however that wasn’t something she could do due to the nature of her status. Women of her caliber didn’t work, that was the role of men. But of course that didn’t stop her. During the nights – or any free time she had on her own – Callie would read and read and absorb all the healing knowledge that she could.
Job: Socialité with a vast knowledge of healing and potions brewing.
Alliance: Neutral (though among blood supremacists she’ll pretend to be one of them as well)
Wand: Willow, Unicorn Hair.
Patronus: Arctic Fox. Cunning stealth and persistence. People with this patronus tend to be sly, graceful and have a near magic ability to make something out of nothing.
Boggart:
Not being good enough then it changes to something bad happening to her husband and children.
Schooling:
Private tutors
Hogwarts (Slytherin, Slug Club, Charms Club, Prefect and Head Girl)
Self-taught healing spells and potions brewing
Para sample:

The other day I watched this meal planning/shopping video for low budgets. It made me realize that I’ve somehow shifted to eating a lot of food out of cans and how expensive that is. So this last shopping trip I redesigned my personal menu with an emphasis on fresh ingredients.
Yesterday I roasted a chicken thigh along with cut up potato and carrot. A simple meal and yet it was better than many I’ve made recently. It wasn’t just the final product that was better. Halving and slicing the potato felt like coming home.
The last time I regularly cooked good “homemade” food was when I lived with my sister and her kids. That was several years ago and since then it has slipped away from me. There have been times since when I went all out for myself but those times have been getting rarer.
Tonight I fried up a thinly sliced potato. I remember years ago struggling with this; they always stuck to the bottom of the pan regardless of how much oil I used and refused to brown. I used to make my sister fry the papas for me and I always cooked the rice because hers was always underdone. Also her fideo noodles were always sticky in a way I could never match but she liked the way I made mine with more of a sauce.
I don’t know if I stopped cooking these recipes because they remind me of those times but I’m remembering them now. I miss her so much. (I didn’t intend to cry while writing this but here I am now with a wet face.)
Anyway tonight my potatoes didn’t stick to the pan and turned a beautiful golden brown.

Can you imagine Gilian Anderson’s social media dude lurking around here? Like he/she could be that silent follower who never posts or reblogs but just listens....
And can you imagine part of your blog being to read smut and underline key phrases to use in future tweets? Talk about dream job. I already do that for free!

2017 in pictures (2)
Carrying on the review of my year in Pictures, we’re beginning part 2 in late March:
And late March is Prowein time. It’s a hectic but fun few days in Dusseldorf. Pictured here is Daniel Niepoort showing off one of the Rieslings that he’s making with Philip Kettern in the Mosel.
Also spotted at Prowein: Eben Sadie, Peter-Allen Finlayson and Chris Alheit
And Philippe Pacalet!
April: time to head to South Africa again. Here I’m with Chris Alheit and Franco Laurens
And John Seccombe of Thorne and Daughters
And Andrea and Chris Alheit
In the Kaimansgaat vineyard drinking a Pinot Noir it produced from Peter-Allen Finlayson’s Crystallum
Stellenbosch
Then it was off to the Loire Valley, for a visit to the Centre Loire appellations of Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé, Montlouis, Reuilly and Quincy. The warm weather had caused early budding, and later in the month there were to be horrible frosts
Kimmeridgean limestone! Lots of little fossil oyster shells. They take their soils seriously in the Centre Loire, and rightly so.
Chavignol
The world’s flintiest vineyard, Pouilly Fumé
April is International Wine Challenge for two weeks. Always a special time with so many good fellow judges. Pictured is Oz Clarke, fellow co-chair and general legend.
April: the fab Real Wine Fair. Here’s Doug Wregg interviewing Michel Tolmer, author of Mimi, Fifi and Gouglou.
Drinking Georgian Orange wine with Emily Harman, Real Wine Fair.
Californian real wine: Matthew Rorick of Forlorn Hope
In early May I was off to Napa, California, for the Jackson Family Wine conference: pictured here with the fab Gilian Handelman and Josh Greene (Wine and Spirits magazine)
In May I had an epic trip to the Loire with grape witches Nicole and Krysta, and sommelier Lexi. We visited lots of people, and began the trip in London, then Paris (where we kidnapped our server at the Clown Bar), and then all the way through the Loire.
Sancerre
In the cellar with Jacky Blot, Montlouis
May: a trip to Amsterdam to lecture students and sommeliers.
June saw the Union des Gens de Metier tasting at Salisbury House in London. Some serious producers attended, including Jean-Marc Roulot, winegrower (and actor) from Meursault.
June also saw the first edition of MUST: fermenting ideas, which took place in Cascais in Lisbon. A lot of good people there. I was speaking on Natural Wine.
June: off to Nova Scotia, Canada. Judging the WineAlign National Wine Awards, speaking at the Atlantic Wine Forum, and visiting some of the producers who are making some really interesting wines in this new cool-climate area.
We had an epic evening of lobsters and folk dancing at Benjamin Bridge
The team at Lightfoot and Wolfville, one of the top producers in Nova Scotia
Then it was off to New Zealand. As well as speaking at the Organics conference in Marlborough, I took a few days away with Natalie in Golden Bay. It was stunning.
July began in Portugal, for a celebration of the vineyards of Lisboa, held at Quinta de Sant’Ana. It was a fun couple of days.
Chocopalha, Lisboa
Quinta Monte d’Oiro in Lisboa
And I went to a festival! Nosily, with Melanie Brown and her crew.
