All the Kings horses
Summary: When your injured in Eregion Gil-Galad has to confess his feelings.
There may be a smutty sequel to this in time but for now enjoy another shorter fic.
This morning you were reveling in the beauty of Lindon, admiring the golden leaves drifting through the gentle breeze and singing songs of hope and love with your kin. Now you sat on horse back, clad in your silver armor and preparing to march to Eregion.
You rode just behind your dear friend Elrond with the High King beside him. As the current captain of the King's guard had been sent with most of Lindon's forces to march into Mordor it fell to the few left to take up his mantle. The responsibility weighed heavy on your mind. Sure you weren't the only one who would be ensuring his safety but to you it was a personal matter.
You'd met the young High King when you were a simple foot soldier. You had fought under his banner against the forces of Morgoth. There you saw him on the battle field, his broad form clashing against the enemy. His spear glinting in the light as he spun it with a grace that left you speechless. He was every bit the King you'd imagined and when his firm grasp clasped your hand to help you rise, you swore you'd fight for him until the end.
It had been an age since then and you were sure he had not remembered one soldier from such a battle. Still he had always treated you with respect despite your low rank. Asking your opinion on trivial matters, or sharing with you a book or two to enjoy in your free time.
When the horses stopped to rest, you dismounted and took your post. You were unsure why you'd been ordered to stand guard inside the King's tent. The honor rightfully should have gone to higher ranked guard but you were not about to question your temporary captain. Not when the power had gone right to her head and not when it let you gaze at your King.
Elrond entered and you bowed your head to him with a smirk but there was no levity to be found. His face was serious as he placed a hand on your shoulder. He passed on to speak to your King and you were left feeling more apprehensive about the battle to come.
It was a bad omen indeed and when the fighting began you stayed back with King GIl-Galad and a few of the guards. As Elrond had explained they need only fend off the orcs until dawn. By then Prince Durin would've brought his army from Khazad-dum for much needed reinforcements. Too many had already fallen and you felt your hands itch for your sword.
"Enough!" Your King growled. "I will not stand by as my people are slaughtered."
There was no argument, none of the guards dared disobey and from the firm nods of your kin you knew it was settled. You rode in formation, the bow man taking out threats as you made your way into the fray.
From horse back you struck down at closing in orcs, keeping yourself between them and your King. As your group neared the cleared river bed the bow man was struck. You'd barely known him, just another face you passed in your duties but you'd done so for 200 years. Now that face struck the wet ground with a snap you could hear over the cries of battle. There was a shout and the elleth flanking the King went flying off her horse as it fell. You rode on, catching a glimpse of her fighting against a gathering group of orcs.
You stayed by King Gil-Galad through the night, fighting by his side as the field grew quieter. You met Elrond on the field, loosing a throwing knife to strike an assailant coming up behind him. You lost your 2nd and 3rd in close combat, to the eye and toe of orcs.
You lost the last when it became lodged in the skull of an orc that almost clipped the King's armor. You'd had it in hand and leapt onto the beast, knocking it down and stabbing up through the mouth. You heaved in deep breathes, the prolonged fight starting to wear on you and rose from off the corpse.
Gil-Galad stood, haloed by the first light of dawn. His hair loose and glowing stands dancing in the breeze. Morning had come and a horse stood on the hill. Vorohil had returned and worse for wear. Despite the arrows he managed to ride to you, collapsing into Elrond but he brought no comfort. The dwarves were not coming.
Still your King called you to ranks and the battle continued. Each sword slash felt like you were trying to stop the flow of a great river. No matter how many fell the fight never stopped. You were pushed back past the wall into Eregion, baring witness to the city in ruins. You could not abandon hope now however, with each moment you fought on those within the city were granted time to escape.
Pain erupted from your leg, an arrow piercing into the flesh of your thigh. You screamed before blocking the orc approaching, crashing your head past the joint blades and crushing their nose with your helm. It fell loose and clattered against the stone path, rolling to stop by the feet of an approaching horde.
You stepped back, meeting your King against you. In a moment of silent connection you knew he was seeing much the same thing. You'd lost sight of Elrond some streets back and hoped that somehow he'd appear now. Slaying his way to rescue his King.
You fought on but in the narrow passage you lost your sword. You heard Gil-Galad call your name but you couldn't see him in the mass of orc's beating down on you.
Your mind seemed to swim in to the depths, going dark and blank for many minutes at a time before you surfaced for a moment. In blinks it seemed you went from face down on the carved stone of the street to your arms painfully gripped as your limp body dragged after you. Flashes of carnage, orc, elf, blood, viscera, all blurring into a collage of suffering. In the dark of your mind you smelt burning but couldn't draw the strength to open your eyes. The warm sensation trickling from your hairline, down your face was a likely culprit.
"Lord Sauron said we don't need these ones..." A nasally voice spoke near by.
Your hair was pulled painfully, jolting your head back and for a moment you could see again. Gil-Galad, your King and the only elf to ever take such root in your heart, strained against his captors. Something cold touched your throat but in the haze you were back in Lindon, receiving your armor for the first time since the war. Elrond was there too, shouting, congratulations maybe? Everything was perfect and tranquil. The leaves fell gently on the wind and you shut your eyes.
When they opened again all you knew was pain. So loud it thrummed in your head that all else seemed drowned out by it. You groaned against it, shifting to try assess cause. A large hand landed on your shoulder and you flinched.
"Apologies." A strained voice spoke withdrawing. "Just take a moment."
Your hand came up to your face, rubbing against the brightness of the light ahead. It came away with russet flakes sticking to your fingers.
"And perhaps we don't reopen our head wounds while we're at it." Gil-Galad's voice came crisper now.
"Wher..." You began, jolting suddenly and reaching for your missing sword.
Gil-Galads hands took your own, encompassing them with ease and radiating in you such calm that you forgot your pounding heart.
"Safe, my dearest friend." He smiled, brighter than the sun and no less warm.
Your heart stuttered in your chest at his words. You'd think it was some trick of your injured head but his hands were still holding your own and his face a serene mask. His eyes left your own for a moment, focusing on your lap as his thumb brushed gently over your bruised knuckles.
"I thought I may have lost you. That years of deluding myself that it was for our best interest that I say nothing, would have robbed me of this chance." Gil-Galad murmured.
He didn't sound himself and you began to worry. You shifted your hands in his to clasp them. You gave a reassuring squeeze and kept focused on his softening features. His brow lifted and those dark eyes met your own again.
"Please, If this isn't what you wish say the word and you will never hear another syllable about it." Gil-Galad promised but you kept your lips sealed.
"I have loved you too long from afar. I wish for you to be by my side from now until the end of all things. I wish to hear you sing and laugh and tell those awful jokes that you tell when you think I'm not listening. I want all of you and all I have to give is me and my burdens." Gil-Galad professed.
You had no words, no eloquent speech of your own just a hand taken and laid on his shoulder and lips pressed to his own. Gil-Galad responded in kind, his hand coming to cup your cheek as he deepened the kiss.
"They are no burdens." You manage between kisses. "Not when shared with you."
This seems to spur him on, nipping at your lower lip and moving his hand up into your hair. You hiss suddenly, pulling back as the reminder of your pain pulses to life again.
"Sorry my love." Gil-Galad apologises with a chaste kiss to your temple. "There will be time when you're healed."
You pout at this, earning a hearty laugh and another soft kiss against your lips. You supposed you'd waited this long for him, what was another day.

Imagine :Gil-galad’s wife bravely rescues him, leading to a heartfelt confrontation and reconciliation.
Title: Bound by Love and Bravery
When Gil-galad set out for battle, you felt the familiar knot of fear tightening in your heart. Every part of you urged him to stay, to be cautious, but he was the High King and duty called. Days passed, and reports came back to Lindon—a battle gone wrong, Gil-galad captured, trapped in the heart of enemy lines. Though you pleaded with the council to send a rescue party, they refused, their fear for their own lives outweighing their loyalty.
But you couldn’t accept it. You couldn’t bear the thought of him trapped, suffering, while you stood by, powerless. Even more so now, as you carried his child within you—a secret you had only just discovered. The thought of your child growing up without a father was too much to bear. And so, you made up your mind. Taking only what you needed, you left under cover of night, riding alone through perilous lands, determined to bring him back.
Days later, you reached the enemy camp under the cover of darkness, finding Gil-galad bound and held in a wooden cell, guarded by orcs gathered around their campfire. Your hands trembled, but with careful planning, you managed to set up a trap—stones rigged to fall, fire set to engulf the camp in chaos. When the flames rose, the orcs scattered, caught off guard by the sudden assault. Seizing the moment, you dashed toward Gil-galad’s cell, breaking the locks and pulling him free.
“Are you mad?” he hissed, his face twisted with fury as he took in your appearance. “What were you thinking, risking your life—and the life of our child?”
“We’ll argue later,” you said, tugging him toward the trees as the flames spread behind you.
Once mounted on his horse, you rode through the night, pressing on until you were far from danger. Finally, exhausted and wary, you found refuge in a small, hidden cabin owned by a mysterious figure—an old shifter, who could transform into a wolf but whose heart was kind.
The wolf-man greeted you both with warmth, setting out a simple meal: bread, eggs, and fresh milk. You were ravenous, and the food disappeared almost as soon as it was set in front of you. Gil-galad watched you in silence, his eyes still clouded with anger and worry as you ate, hardly pausing for breath.
Once you finished, he finally spoke, his tone sharp with frustration. “You had no right to risk yourself. You put our child in danger. What would I have done if I had lost you both?”
You met his gaze, unyielding. “And what would I do without you? How could I go on, raising our child alone, knowing I could have saved you?”
He clenched his fists, his anger softening slightly, though he remained tense. “That isn’t a risk I would ever want you to take.”
“And I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t try,” you replied, your voice shaking with raw emotion. “You are my heart, Gil-galad. I can’t imagine a life without you. I would face any danger if it meant bringing you home.”
The room fell into silence, and your eyes began to sting as you held back tears. Unable to bear the tension, you turned to the wolf-man, asking where you could sleep for the night, hoping to find a place alone to calm your heart. He led you to a single room with one bed, his gaze full of quiet understanding.
Your heart sank. You couldn’t avoid Gil-galad tonight, but as you lay on one side of the bed, facing away, you kept your distance. Moments later, you felt the bed dip as he lay beside you, both of you engulfed in silence and unspoken feelings.
Then, his arm slid around your waist, drawing you gently back toward him. His touch was warm, comforting despite his earlier anger. Slowly, you turned to face him, finding his gaze softer, more vulnerable.
He brushed a hand over your belly, his eyes filled with a mixture of awe and sorrow. “It isn’t only you I nearly lost today… I nearly lost him, too.”
You managed a small smile, brushing your fingers over his hand. “Him?” you asked, raising an eyebrow. “For all we know, it could be a daughter.”
He chuckled, pulling you closer until you were nestled against his chest. “Perhaps,” he murmured, his voice softening. “But I know that you both wanted me safe. No matter how angry I am, I can’t deny… I’m grateful you came for me.”
You let out a small laugh, the tension between you melting as you relaxed against him. “I’m not the only one, you know. He wanted his father back, too,” you teased, though you knew it was your love for him that had driven you to such lengths.
Gil-galad’s eyes sparkled with affection as he gently stroked your hair. “Perhaps,” he replied, amusement dancing in his gaze. “But if I know him at all, he’s inherited his courage from you.”
In that quiet moment, you felt the strain of the journey fade away, replaced by a deep and lasting warmth. You lay together in the flickering candlelight, your love strengthened by the trials you had faced, knowing that you would face any danger for one another. And for now, in each other’s arms, you were home.

At your Mercy Chapter 5
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 6
Pairing: Gil-Galad x human! fem! Reader
Warnings: angst, violence
Word Count: 2298
Summary: Reader needs some fresh air and walks a few minutes only to experience something not so nice. We meet a blonde ellon who safes the day.
Thank you for reading 💜
The Valar help me. Can he not take a hint? Of course it had to be the one person you wanted not to speak to Hamlin. Thinking about it you figured it only made sense that he wanted to speak to you. Now you only needed to find out how this wa gonna go and what he was up to. There were really only two possible ways. Either he wanted to apologise for his rude behavior or he wanted to plague you once more and try to persuade you into his arms.
You hoped he would make the right choice here or else your fun evening out would be absolutely screwed. “Y/N” he called your name once more. You turned around gazing up at him, waiting for him to continue. “I.. I was going to apologise. I did not mean to be so awfully ill-mannered.”With that he waited for you to answer him. A few seconds passed and you let out a sigh into the fresh air. “It is fine I guess.” You kind of hated yourself for forgiving him that fast. You always had been so overly friendly and forgiving it was just a part of you. Seeing the good in everyone was something that you carried on for all your life. Your father always said it was a gift but your mother insisted that the world was not that fair and beautiful and you should learn to adept sooner rather than later. But nonetheless you kept to that and tried to make the world a better place by treating everyone equally.
You truly wanted to make clear that he was overstepping massively last time and you would have had every right to do so. “Just please never treat me or anyone else that way ever again.” At that he nodded. “So uh.. would you let me buy you a drink or no?” He scratched the back of his head. “Give me a few more minutes and I’ll come back inside. I just need a bit more fresh air.” “Alright.” He turned around and went back inside.
Thank god. You thought maybe he had learned his lesson. You decided to take a little walk for a few more minutes. The crisp night air seemed to sober you up a little and was doing wonders to your heated skin. Mithlond at night was a sight to see as well. The stars above were clear and bright. Something you adored greatly. Your feet carried you through town on a route you had not wandered before and you neared the woods. The alehouse was not far from here and you thought you could walk just to the edge of the forest and then turn around and join your friends again.
Just as you decided to turn around and head back you heard a voice calling out to you. “Aye look at that fellas we got something here.” A slimy voice rang through your ears. Followed by laughter. There must have been at least two or three there. You turned your head around to see where they were coming from.
The voices were coming from a dark alley to your right. And approaching footsteps signaled they were on their way to you. Shit You hurried to walk back to the alehouse that would be a few minutes away. They called after you “Hey no need to run away. We don’t mean any harm.” Their voices only made you pick up the pace and soon you were sprinting through the streets.
The next thing you knew was someone yanking you right back and you fell to the ground with a loud thud. Groaning you saw the silhouette of two cloaked men coming closer to your frail body lying on the ground. “I told you no need to run away from us, pretty one. Now you got what was coming to you.” The one closest to you snarled. “Stay away from me.” You warned, which made him chuckle. A disgusting sound that scared you even more. “Little bird here has no idea what she has gotten herself into.” The second one with a deep oily voice said. “Truly. Now what do we do with you.” The first one pondered. “Such a pretty face should not be wasted.” And he grabbed your elbow and pulled you up into his arms. You wriggled and tried your hardest to fight him. Many thoughts crossed your mind at once and you wished you had never left the alehouse to wander around at night alone. The streets of Mithlond you imagined were safe. Apparently you were wrong. Regret filled you and panic took over you. “Eh stop it little one. Stop fighting, you are far too weak for us.” His warm and wet breath made you feel all sorts of disgust and hatred. Kicking your feet wildly you tried everything. You were not ready to surrender. The other man was coming closer to you, fixing you with a lustful glint in his eyes.
He looked at your body up and down smiling to himself. You wanted to throw up then and there. With every step he took you tried to fight the one holding you more. When the man stood right in front of you he took your chin and made you look up into his ugly face. “You’re going to be a lot of fun.” He smirked. With that you pulled up your leg and kneed him in his crotch. The man groaned and fell to his knees doubled over in pain. The man holding you strengthened his hold on you “Oh that was a mistake. You’re a feisty one eh.” “Let me go.” You demanded but they would not listen. His friend on the ground seemed to get up again and he was angry now. He rushed towards you, slapping you across the face. “You whore. You’ll get what you deserve.” His hands started roaming over your body and you tried screaming for help. You just barely made a sound when the one holding you covered your mouth with his dirty hand.
You closed your eyes trying to just zone out of this situation when suddenly the guy groping you stopped and you could no longer feel his dirty hands on you. The arms wrapped around and the body behind you also let go of you and you opened your eyes jumping to the side. That’s when you saw an ellon with golden hair fighting off the men. He had already knocked out the one you previously kneed in the balls and was now going after the one who held you all the time. He was fleeing but seeing the young elf going after him he would not get far. They made it about 50 m when the blonde elf grabbed him and hauled him back, punching him in the face and successfully knocking him out on the spot.
You stood there in silence, not moving, just staring and watching as the handsome ellon made his way back to you. As he neared you you backed away slightly, not ready to trust him and his intentions. He stopped immediately taking in your shocked and scared figure. “Are you okay? Please, I do not wish to harm you.” He said. “That is what they told me.” You gestured to the two men on the ground fixing the ellon with mistrusting eyes.
“I am Glorfindel. Captain of the High Kings Watch. I hope these men did not harm you more than what I have seen.” He asked, concern lacing his words. “Is it ok if I come a little closer?” You hesitated but your instinct told you he was truly harmless. You nodded and he made his way over to you, keeping a distance to not startle you further. “Now would you tell me if you are okay?” He insisted. “I am fine, just a little shaken is all.” You waved him off “I’ve never experienced something like this.” You said wrapping your arms around yourself. Glorfindel took off his cloak and handed it to you. You silently took it and wrapped it around your shoulders, thankful for the kind gesture. “You should have never been exposed to that. These men were beasts. I want to apologise for my late arrival. If not me one of the guards should have been close. Seeing rogue men like that inside the city is alarming. I need to inform the King immediately.” You walked along the streets when Glorfindel asked you where you lived so he could escort you home before he had to fulfill his duty and inform the High King. You told him to bring you to the alehouse instead because your friends must be worried by now.
He was about to protest your plea when Mallahir called your name from the other side of the street a few feet away from you. He jogged over to you, holding your face to gaze into your eyes. “Bless the Valar you’re here. You had me worried sick Y/N. What happened, you look like someone punched you in the face.” He wrapped his arms around you. Only after he released you, he acknowledged Glorfindel's presence. “Glorfindel have you done this to Y/N” Mallahir wanted to know, fixing Glorfindel with a furious glare. “Of course not Mal. I was patrolling the outer streets of the city when I heard muffled voices and someone struggling. She was ambushed by two cloaked men. I was going to escort her home and inform the High King.” The Captain explained. “You were what?” Mal stared at you. “Y/N are you ok?” Your friend looked at you making sure you were not physically hurt in any way. “No I am alright Mal.” You insisted. “I am mentally shaken but I will be ok.” Mallahir watched Glorfindel. “We need to tell the High King. Fast. Who knows what else is lurking in the dark in the streets of Mithlond.” The Captain agreed. “Indeed. It is of utmost importance to tell him.” “What are you waiting for then?” You questioned. “You should get home first. Mallahir, can you escort her back home. The High King most definitely will call for a meeting so you should join us after she is safely home.” “I am alright. Besides, if the High King calls for a meeting I have to be there as well.” Glorfindel raised his eyebrows at that. He did not know you were required at court. But then again he had been away for a few months now. “Alright let’s go then.” With that you paced through the streets toward the royal part of town.
As Glorfindel said the High King commenced an emergency Meeting with his most trusted advisers. Honestly speaking you were surprised you were one allowed to be here since you were relatively new and a human at that. At first you thought it was just because you had been the victim and your side of the story was of interest to them. But even after you explained everything you were allowed to stay. The High King seemed to trust you enough and that made you feel a little proud and special. The High King sent a few guards to capture the knocked out men from the streets only to find them gone. It worried you a little that these men were still freely roaming the area somewhere and you made sure to watch out more from now on.
“Glorfindel make sure to double the Guards inside the city and on the outskirts of town. Whatever is going on needs to be stopped. This city is supposed to be a safe haven for everyone living within its walls.” He fleetingly gazed at you and turned around. “Mallahir make sure your friend is checked in the medical wing. Glorfindel I’d like to speak to you privately. The rest of you may retreat back to your quarters”
The meeting ended and Mal practically had to drag you to the medical part of the royal part. You reluctantly agreed to get checked and turned out you were alright except for some bruises and an added amount of anxiety and mistrust you would carry around for a while. On the way back to your home you and Mallahir did not speak, too lost in your own thoughts. “I am so sorry Y/N. I should have been there and I should have protected you.” Mallahir spoke, successfully distracting you from your own thoughts. “What? Mal no it was not your fault. If any one is responsible it’s me. I should have never strayed that far from the alehouse.” You added. “I guess it’s not your or my fault it’s their fault. They did this to you.” A silence fell over you until Mal decided to speak again. “Honestly I think you should get trained.” He looked at you “Just so you can defend yourself better. I mean you were lucky Glorfindel was there to help you. He is a great elven soldier but apparently not even the streets of Mithlond are safe and a little combat training might help you.” You pondered his statement. Knowing more about defensive fighting would definitely come in handy at some point or another. You were not a big fighter but you sure would like to learn one or two things about self defense. “You are right. Would you teach me?” You knew he was trained in combat. He rarely ever had to fight though. “I am probably not the right one to train you but I could ask Glorfindel if that’s alright with you. He would definitely not mind and he is a great teacher.”
It was decided then. Glorfindel would teach you the basics in combat and defense.

Let Them Talk
Pairing: Legolas x human!healer!reader
Category: Hurt/comfort
Summary: You are Aragon’s sibling. When both you and he are injured in battle, you hide your injuries and focus on caring for Aragon instead. You fool everyone...except for the tall, blond elf who loves you.
Warnings: Description of injury symptoms
He was all right. Aragon was all right.
You told yourself this over and over, willing your heartbeat to slow. The healers were caring for him, the injuries weren’t severe. You had stayed by his side and assisted them with your own knowledge of healing, ignoring the pain flaring through your body as you cared for your brother. Now it was over and Aragorn was sleeping peacefully. He would be all right.
You pushed aside the flaps to your tent and stepped inside, a roll of bandages clutched in your fist. You had no idea how bad your injuries were, only that they were less important than Aragorn. Your plan was to clean yourself up quietly and go to sleep...until Legolas stepped into your tent.
“Gilgalad,”
You looked up from where you were untying your boots. “Legolas. Aragorn will make a full recovery.”
“I was just in the healer’s tent.” Legolas’s blue eyes sparkled in relief. “They say you saved him.”
“I simply assisted.” You returned to your task.
Legolas watched a moment before crossing to you. “Here, let me help you.”
“I’m fine.”
“Please,”
“I do not wish the camp to become filled with gossip should we be discovered.” You finally succeeded in untying your boots and kicked them off, squeezing your eyes shut as the movement sent jolts of pain up and down your spine. “You are not my husband nor my betrothed. The king’s loyal sibling and closest friend, alone together?” You breathed deeply, as if your breath alone could expel the pain. “I’m not strong enough to handle the whispers.”
“And yet you are strong enough to handle your wounds?” Legolas crossed to you in a single stride, movements slow as he knelt at your feet. “You are trembling, gilgalad. Your face is pale from the loss of blood.”
“Legolas, please. Please,” you shook your head as his fingers brushed your cheeks. “I am not important, you should go. Go to Aragorn’s side, I will join you shortly.”
“You are going nowhere but to bed, my love.” Legolas pulled you into his arms and stood once more, tensing at your gasp of pain. “I swore to Aragorn that I would care for you. Let the others talk.”
“But, but I,” a tear slipped down your cheek. “Legolas.” You breathed, fingers gripping his shoulder.
Legolas shushed you. “I’m here now. I’m here.” His lips pressed against your forehead.
“Aragorn,”
“You have already cared for him. Now allow someone to care for you.”

𝐖𝐚𝐫 𝐎𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬
pairing: legolas x reader
warnings: fluff! a tiny bit of angst
summary: After the battle of the ring, the only female member of the fellowship (lord Elronds daughter) is to be married off as her father wishes. A ball is held to seek the husband her father approves of. Little to his knowledge she fell in love with a elf boy on her adventure.
The fellowship were very close. They had been through so much it was impossible not to be. But, You and Legolas had a different type of relationship compared to yours and Aragorns sibling like love. Legolas made your heart stutter and your head explode. That night after the mines he confessed his feelings for you. You were both inseparable since. But now here you were in a undeniably beautiful gown waiting to be find a elf or man to be married off too. Unlike Arwen you didn’t find it easy to love. Arwen and Aragorn fell in love a long time ago. You never knew what the hype was about the love she spoke of until you met him. Legolas Greenleaf Prince of Mirkwood.
“Be quiet pippin she’s going to come out any minute” Sam told his fellow Hobbit as himself and the remaining members of the fellowship stood in the ballroom of Rivendell. “Can’t she be left to find her own love” merry piped in. “Lord Elrond in his eyes has already lost one daughter he fears to loose the other” Gandalf spoke as Aragorn looked down guiltily. Arwen smiles fondly at him as Legolas put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “I hope she finds a man who will treat her right” Legolas said quietly. Aragorn looking at him sadly. Aragorn knew of the longing Legolas now felt towards her. The only one who knew the full exoten of how much their love ran in the hearts for the one another.
“Please Welcome, Princess Y/N Undómiel of Rivendell” the guardsman spoke. you took a deep breathe As the doors flew open you walked in. You walked over to your father. “Let the Ball begin” he said everyone cheered as the music started began playing.
You felt as if you had been dancing for hours. Boring Elves and Brooding Men. You decided to take a small break and sit down. Your sister sat next to you. “How are you my lend er?” Arwen spoke . You gave her a small smile “i’m okay, it feels like i have been dancing for hours”Arwen softly chuckes “it’s not even been two hours yet”. You sighed. “Im going to miss this” you spoke. She knew of what you spoke. In a few decades she would be gone forever. unlucky decades felt like but months for elves. “do not dwell, if i can advise you on something sometimes you have to put your wants before Ada’s” you looked at her confused as she walked off.
You got up and danced with a few men. Darin the current one was. “You fought in the battle of the ring?” he asked although it sounded more like a statement you hummed in response. “battle is no place for a woman. Womens bodys should be kept sacred not contorted scared from battles they are not made to fight” that was a kick in the teeth. You had a few scars littering your body from the battle. you had decided to leave this conversation and dance with another leaving Darin and his horrid views alone with his ego.
“excuse me, may i?” you heard a all time familiar voice come from behind you. The elf you were dancing with looked startled and immediately nodded and let go of you and let him hold you. As you felt his arms around you waist your body felt tingly. “Hello” he whiskers as you put your arms around his neck and his on your waist “what you doing?” you asked. He gave you a queasy expression. “doing something i needed a lot of courage for” he chucked nervously. “I hate this” your showed looking in his eyes. “i know, i saw you looking incredulous bored by Calan” he spoke softly. you laughed. for the first time tonight. “ Cin thír urethral nin gilgalad” the heat rose to your cheeks with that comment. you instinctively hid your face in his chest. the hobbits were used to seeing the tough and serious side of legolas so seing him being so gentle and carefree was refreshing. “you look amazing your self” he did he was clad in a icy blue tunic with a gorgeous head bands in his perfect white hair. “i want to be the one you marry nin mel” your head shot up as he spoke “i want to be the one you wake up to everyone morning, i want to be the father of your child, i want to be the one to get you through the hard days and the nightmare that i know you think i don’t know about” you started into his cerulean eyes. trying to see if he was lying. he wasn’t. you smiled, and looked over to Arwen who lowered her head and smiled. you whipped into his ear “do something about it then. you went to walk away when you felt his hand spin you back into his embraces your back against his chest. his arms on your waist. his breathe on your neck sending a shiver down your spine. “we will do the dance then” he smirked.
It was tradition at these events that the eleth or elf and the chosen do a dance to signify the union. You knew this would not only anger king Thranduil but your father aswell and most of the elleths and elves as you two were the most desirable of all.
his arms found their way to your waist again and span you around so you were facing him it took a while for the money it signified that you were doing thr sacred dance to hit people you knew when you heard gandalf smile and say “they are finishing the dance”. He dipped you the. lifted you up into the air slowly being you down as he stared into your y/e/c eyes. His lips felt like the missing puzzle piece this was in no means your first kiss but everytime you kissed Legolas it felt like it. He rested his forehead on yours as his hands wandered in your y/h/c hair and yours on his chest. “ Im mel cin” you said in almost a whisper he soundly have caught if if not for his elf enchanted hearing. He rand his covered over your ears sending a wave of sensitivity over you causing you to sigh. “ Im mel cin too nin princess”

It was a peaceful day in Mirkwood. The two young elves hardly escaped their duties, and when they did, they wanted nothing more than to be in the company of one another. So now, as the sun was setting, (Y/N) and Legolas were walking through the Green Forest, talking and laughing. “This forest holds a true beauty when it is not full of deadly spiders.” The prince admitted. (Y/N) nodded. They eventually found a place they decided to stop by.
They climbed a tree, sitting on one of the big branches, (Y/N)’s back was pressed against Legolas’ chest, his arms wrapped around her torso. This is where they both felt the safest. In each other’s arms. The young elleth closed her eyes, letting out a sight. “So what did you and your father speak about earlier? It seemed pretty serious” Legolas hummed in response. “Were you eavesdropping, gilgalad?” (Y/N) rolled her eyes. “I just couldn’t stay away from you, nin ernil” The prince chuckled. “We were talking about marriage” The elleth furrowed her brows. “He wants you to get married? Already?” “Oh no, not that soon. He just told me that I should start looking for an elleth that is preferably a royalty, someone that could assure us a strong alliance. Ada said he doesn’t want to plan an arranged marriage with someone I have never met.” The girl started playing with one of his hands. “And, have you thought about anyone yet?” Legolas laid his head on her shoulder. “Mhmmm” He closed his eyes, relaxing more into the crook of her neck. “Oh really? Well, tell me more about them. Do I know them?” His grip around her tightened. “I’m sure you do. She is very popular around these parts. Around every part, in fact. Everyone knows her” The elleth couldn’t think of anyone. “Where is she from?” The prince smiled against her neck. “Everywhere” (Y/N) sighed. “And what does your father say about her?” The girl almost gave up. There wasn’t anyone coming to her mind. “My father adores her. Although she can be stubborn and disobey his orders sometimes, sometimes I fear he might love her more than me” In that moment, it clicked. But it was not possible, was it? She turned around, facing the prince. “Legolas…” “(Y/N), have I ever told you how beautiful you are?” (Y/N) smiled. “Only a couple times” The two of them chuckled. Neither one of them said anything for a moment. The elleth reached to cup his cheek with her hand. He leaned into her touch, kissing her palm, and then taking her hand in his, and running his lips over her knuckles. She started blushing. “You would make an amazing queen, gilgalad.” He was watching her with so much love and adoration, she swore she could melt on spot. “But I don’t know how to be a queen, Legolas. All my life I’ve been breaking rules, disobeying orders and just being reckless, never listening to anyone! This is not how queens act. They have to be graceful, innocent, and quiet. I am exactly the opposite of that. I crave adventures, love danger, my body is full of scars and my hands are bathed in blood.” Instead of answering her, the prince leaned in, and pressed his lips against hers, kissing her. (Y/N) instantly kissed back, hands hooking around his neck. Their lips were dancing with each other. When they finally broke the kiss, Legolas opened his eyes, seeing the shock on the girl’s face. “Meleth nin, you are exactly what this kingdom needs. You are brave, powerful, smart. Your love for danger and scarred body just makes me adore you even more. You were born a queen. No throne or crown needed. And queens do not take orders from anyone. Remember that.” And he was right. (Y/N) was, in fact, a queen. And with a king like him by her side, who would dare talk down to her?

Warnings/Disclaimers: Just an over abundance of fluff.

Rivendell’s calming, refreshing air had wafted through you long before your company had reached any sign of civilization. Now, it felt one with your soul as you sat on a bridge in one of Elrond’s numerous gardens, your toes dipped in the delicate stream below. It was was the only place, aside from Galadhon, you felt completely comfortable with running around barefoot outdoors. The cool water left goosebumps in its effort weave past your feet and continue its journey. Leaning forward to watch, your gaze fell upon your reflection framed in starlight.
So much had happened since you landed in Middle Earth, both physically and mentally. All this time roaming the continent had resulted in your locks lengthening long past what you normally preferred, body and stamina strengthening, and skin glowing healthier than it ever had in your world. An unfamiliar poise tranquility radiated throughout you, even more so now that the Ring was destroyed and Frodo was regaining his health.
And what now, now that the written story was nearly finished? As much as you missed your family and friends in your world, it was difficult to think of returning. Living in a realm without your hobbit friends, your grandfatherly wizard, your near-brother ranger and soon-to-be king, your stout, ornery best friend, and… your Legolas…
“What troubles you, galad nin?”
You just barely managed to stop yourself from yelping and jumping out of your skin. The timing this elf had… Not to mention how silence seemed to hug his very being even when he was merely meandering about.
With a huff and cheeky grin, you threw a look over your shoulder at Legolas. “Not knowing what the new title you bestowed on me means.”
Your stomach churned as he allowed you to hide your thoughts and settled next to you.
“Surely, you can solve that mystery,” he chuckled.
“You think so?” You grinned as you playfully nudged his boot-clad feet. “What makes you think I was able to retain yours and Aragorn’s lessons?”
“Well,” he trailed off, lacing his hand with yours and raising it to his lips. “Gimli’s teachings seem to have taken root.”
Your face burned hot. The visage of Gimli’s hearty laugh as he cheekily taught you your first word in his mother tongue flashed before you. At least someone found it amusing to hear you swear in another language.
“You had to bring that up,” you snickered, squeezing the hand he held.
Legolas let out a symphonic chuckle before leaning in closely and gazing up at the night sky. “So, what have you deduced?”
Chewing your bottom lip, you hummed in contemplation as you followed his gaze. He had taught you quite a few words. “Meleth nin” was “my love”. The starlight above he once called “Gilgalad”. “Galad nin”…
“My light?” You hated how your voice wavered uncertainly.
His freehand traced your jawline and guided you back to him. When had he stopped stargazing?
“And do you know why I call you that?”
You shook your head minutely, not wanting to lose the warmth radiating from his palm as he cupped your cheek. The tender seriousness of his eyes held your rapt attention.
“When the Fellowship was first formed, I thought my senses cheated by some spell. I was a moth to an open flame, forever drawn to you. You had awoken something I had thought long fallen to shadow. The farther into our journey, the more you lifted the darkness.”
His thumb swept over the apple of your cheek, and his voice fell to a breeze, “No matter what is to come, I will be with you. Even if we are separate, I will find my way to you. You are light, the light I have needed for much too long. You are my light.”
Legolas ended his confession with his lips finally gracing yours, softly at first. It was though he feared frightening you. Your response was more than he could have hoped for.

At your Mercy Chapter 3
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 4
Pairing: Gil-Galad x human! fem! Reader
Warnings: invasive behaviour, aggression
Word Count: 2304
Disclaimer: Hamlin is a sad excuse of a man. Again thank you @lotrnonsense / @captainbutterflygirl2 and @thesolarangel. <3
The next weeks went by and you had to finish your essay. You spent more time in the library and less time with your friends. You had everything that needed to get written in your head and it should have helped you focus but in reality the quiet library was doing nothing to help you calm your wild mind that was still thinking about the encounter with the high King in the garden weeks past. Something about him made you nervous and you tried to tell yourself it was all due to his imposing character and the fact that he was a thousand years old King.
You sighed in frustration when you realized you’d spent 3 hours in the library now and wrote merely a page and a half. You decided to go out for a while and try to clear your head. You’d just gotten out of the Library when a voice called your name from behind.
It was Hamlin. “Hey wait.” You rolled your eyes, put on a fake smile and turned around. “What are you doing?” “Uh I was just about to go on a walk to clear my head a little.” “Oh wonderful. Should I join you?” “If you must.” you said, a little annoyed. “Amazing“.
The both of you walked for a few minutes in awkward silence. „So what’s occupying your mind so much?” You were a little shocked but didn’t show it. Were you that obvious? His words made you think about his intentions. Of course he’d been coming out of the library as well, probably saw you and waited for his chance and when he saw you leave he followed you.
“Well the essay of course.” You saved yourself even though the stupid essay was the least of your concerns right now. “Ah yes of course. I am done with mine already. If you’d want we could go to your place or mine and i’d help you.” He said with a flirtatious look. Honestly he creeped you out a little. “Ah thanks for the offer but I would much rather write it on my own thank you” “I wasn’t talking about writing.” You stopped looking back at his face. Was he joking? He must be joking, you thought.
You decided not to say anything and started to leave when he grabbed your hand. “Hey hey wait. I mean I could help distract you, you know.” You stared at him in disbelief. “Take your hands off of me” you spat and pulled yourself out of his grasp. “I am going to make it clear. I am not interested in you or any of your attempts. I am sure you’ll find someone else to indulge in.” With that you turned on your heel and walked away only to be pulled back again. “Listen, it's not a big deal. You know I just want you to have some fun you know. No one has to know if you don’t want to” He wiggled his eyebrows and you once again tried to free yourself from his grasp. Oh where was your knight in shining armor now? You wished anyone just came and saved you. “I am not interested, Hamlin!” He did not seem to get the hint and instead tried to blame your disinterest on your best friend. “Oh it’s because of that elf boy mhm? What’s his name again? Mallhir right? Let me tell you something Y/N this is hopeless. He is an elf. You’ll be wrinkly and old and he’s still the young elf he is now. He is just using you.” He spat.
You forcefully pulled your arm back and slapped Hamlin across the face. You stared at him bewildered “You know I’m sure you’ll go far in life. But I sure hope you are never coming back.” When you turned around once more to flee the scene you ran into a solid hard chest. You looked up at the tall figure in front of you and recognized to your own horror that the high King was standing right in front of you looking at you and then at the boy behind you. This time it was Hamlins turn to flee the scene and this left you with the high King alone in the streets of Mithlond.
You stood in the middle of the street far too close to the High King who leaned down to you since he was more than a head taller than yourself. “Are you alright?“ The High King waited and many seconds passed. After what had just transpired between you and Hamlin and you running head first into the High King left you still too stunned to speak. The elven King caught on to that and further inquired. „You seem to be upset.” He asked with his deep baritone. For some strange reason it made you feel a little better. You could not look into his eyes and so you kept focusing on his chest that was very much right in your face still. “I am… I am fine.” “You do not look like you are fine Y/N.” When you heard your name you looked up into his big dark orbs. He had fixed you with a soft gaze that made your heart clench. There was so much emotion behind his eyes that you could not read, you could not pin down what exactly his thoughts were. You saw anger and sadness but also worry and to a certain degree calmness in them. The tension grew when you stared back in his eyes and only after what felt like ages you remembered he waited for you to reply. “No I am fine I’ll just go back to the library” you rambled and started to walk away into just any direction. “The library is that way.” He said and pointed the other direction you’d started to walk. “Yeah right, thanks.” You turned around and left the High King standing in the street.
When she’d walked away Gil-Galad held back a smile. She was so taken aback and confused that she casually talked to him like they already knew each other. He remembered what he’d seen earlier and the reason why she was so upset and his smile dropped and anger replaced his previous happier emotions. That boy who clearly hurt her must be one of the few humans that studied with her here in Lindon. He didn’t know why but it annoyed him far too much. The concerns of mere humans were none of his problems. He had far more important tasks to take care of.
Over the next few days the young woman occupied his mind even more. The first time he’d seen her hiding in the bushes during the ceremony had her present in his mind every now and then which was even worse after he’d seen her on one of his walks through the gardens. She was talking to one of his advisors. The youngest one who had proven to be a useful ellon in terms of dealing with the human race. After that meeting he understood why the human had been watching the ceremony. And why this ellon seemed to understand human behavior so well. They were very close to one another. After the incident in the streets he was sure the young pair must be in love. What the human boy had said clearly told him she pursued a romantic relationship with his advisor Mallahir. Now he was not sure where the ellon stood. He only knew the young elf for a short time now. Mallahir seemed to be a good one but he was still young. He might take advantage of the young girl and give her hope where there is none.
Thinking about it made him feel bitter and he tried to occupy himself with something else. He, the High King cannot spend his precious time debating such simple matters.
The next morning you woke up and saw that you were late to your class. You hurried out the bed and got dressed in record time. Grabbing your bag and an apple and running out the door to make it to class in time. You were just in time when Erestor opened the door for your class and you rushed in.
“Good morning class. Today I am happy to inform you that by the end of the lesson we will be talking about your upcoming practicals. I hope you all have spent enough thought on where you intend to work for the next two months and hopefully have prepared your applications.” These words woke you up better than a bath in the cold river could have done. You had been so distracted the last few weeks that the practicals had completely slipped your mind. ‘I am screwed.’ You thought. Whatever Erestor had said after that was irrelevant to you. The rest of the lesson you kept trying to think of a place that you could request to work, that would be merciful enough to take you in on such a short notice.
“That’s it for today and don’t forget to hand in your essays next week. For the rest of the week you’re off to finish your work. Good luck.” You scoffed ‚Luck‘, you needed more than that, you thought and slumped down in your seat thinking about all the deadlines coming next week. You knew you had to get up and finish your essay today so you took the direct way to the library. Sitting in the library you were happy to find out that today seemed to be a good day for writing and you managed to write 5 more pages, what left you to only write the concluding part. Packing your things back into your back you stood up and stretched. Sitting here for hours exhausted you so you headed straight home.
The next morning you had breakfast and tea. You were motivated to finish your essay today and went to work immediately. It took only about half an hour for you to finish and you felt immense relief wash over you that one of your important tasks was finished.
Now you had to worry about the practicals. Maybe the library would take you in since you spend so much time there anyway. Or the elven smiths? You would have loved to learn about the elvish smiths and ways of their workstyles. In your head you planned to take the day and walk around the city to ask for possible opportunities. Luck was not on your side and after the visit in the Forge you felt demotivated to keep asking.
After this much wasted time you decided it’d be best to just go home and lie in your bed so you went home aiming for the day to go by fast. The next morning Mallahir knocked on your door. „Are you awake yet?“ He kept knocking until you opened the door for him and he took in your grumpy face and slouched over shoulder. „What happened to you?“ he asked, surprised. You sighed „just come in.“ Once he had entered he asked „Should I be worried about you Y/N? I don’t mean to offend you but have you seen yourself?“ „Uhm Mal I messed up“ you said silently. „I forgot to apply for the practicals and now no one is taking me since it’s not more than a week.“ You whined. Mallahir sighed „Oh how could you forget about the practicals? I thought you had a place already?“. „I know but I was just so stressed and distracted the whole time that I forgot about the stupid thing.“ „Why did you get distracted? I thought this was your dream to study here. If anyone gave everything in their studies it’d be you.“ He figured. „Or is that distraction a person?“ He teased.
Your insides froze but you couldn’t show it. „Of course not. I mean I have no time nor interest in anyone here“ you lied not just to him but you also lied to yourself, hoping you’d believe it yourself. „Well whatever you can keep your secret if you want to but for now we must find a place for you. And I might have an idea. Just give me a day and I’ll let you know.“ „Oh Mal I’ll be forever grateful if you manage to find something.“ You said with a bit of hope in your eyes. „Yes of course your knight in shining armor, at your service“ he bowed down before you and it only made you think about that embarrassing meeting with the high King on the streets. How he had seemed to save you in that moment before Hamlin could talk more shit or worse try to lay a hand on you.
When Mallahir came over the next day to tell you he had found a place for you, you couldn’t contain your happiness and excitement and just blatantly jumped onto him laughing loudly in the middle of the streets. „Oh thank the Valar for your existence Mal. May your ancestors and your family line forever be blessed“ You praised. „Yes I am quite the useful ellon am I not?“ „You sure are but how did you find something? Oh where is it? It’s not a terrible place is it?“ you rambled. He smirked „I believe you’ll be excited and happy to find out. Come on, I'll show you who has been kind enough to take you in.“ Excitedly, you followed him along the main road. From here you could see many buildings you imagined might be it but you passed every single of them and with every step you got more confused.
„Mal where are we going? I don’t know any other place here. The city lies behind us. There is the royal quarter coming up.“ You asked, confusion lacing your voice. „Exactly.“
Taglist: I’m gonna shamelessly tag some of you guys that I know might read this. If anyone wants to be added to the taglist let me know <3
