Now that gift season is approaching, here's a reminder that local independent bookshops in many countries are organized in websites so you can order whatever book you want and have it delivered. Like Amazon but instead of your money going to a billionaire who mistreats the workers and lobbies politicians to get away with more human right abuses, the money goes to local bookshops. So even if you didn't find what you wanted in your local bookshop (though it's always still worth checking out and the shop keeper will be able to recommend you an alternative!), you can order from a wider range and not contribute to making Amazon a monopoly.

In Spain: todostuslibros.com

In Italy: bookdealer.it

In France: Librairies Indépendantes and LaLibrairie.com

In Portugal: RELI (Rede de Livrarias Independentes)

I recently got the books “The Skull” by Jon Klassen, and “Wait Till Helen Comes” by Mary Downing Hahn, and I’m excited to kick off some reading!

So I decided to give myself somewhat of an early birthday present and bought the limited edition reprint of "Heartless" which is one of my all-time favorite books.

It's supposed to be delivered in June which is my birth month so it's not really an early birthday present, but it kinda is lol.

Gift Idea for my bestie

I need to put this somewhere otherwise i'll probably explode! So, i have this best friend of mine which absolutely adores books and rarely get's herself nice things because she's financially limited so i made it my goal that i'll get her a really cool advent calendar because i love and adore her so much and i want her to have something amazing that i know she wouldn't get elsewhere. SO! I had the idea of a book advent calendar because i saw it elsewhere and adored it but she already has so little space that i was scared i'd overwhelm her with that which is why i thought instead of it being all books (which would also be a ton of shipping because she lives across the country) i instead make it a personalized booklover advent calendar with a couple books, cosy socks, tea or other fun drink options, stickers, bookmarks, candles and spooky things i know she adores. I really hope i can manage to get everything together early enough so she can open it bit by bit and search for everything in a big box and i hope she'll enjoy it as much as i hope she will. Fingers crossed guys!!!
