There wasn't any going back for Atlas, not now. He thought about Cadmus in a heap on the ground, a man reduced to nothing but ashes: bones and all. It was a cliche to say that dying and killing was easy that it was something that was over in an instant, it could have been, but Atlas made sure that it wasn't. There was a door and Atlas had pushed it open, walked through, and then closed it behind him. Killing Cadmus had done nothing to still the anger inside of the druid, all this violence burned somewhere in his gut. It simmered even now, dull but present and to think that he could just walk away... It didn't feel possible. Wherever he went, that was where the druid would be. Settling down wouldn't kill the hate in him. "I don't think I'll ever be normal again." Atlas didn't want to be, "Where will you go?"

Atlas kind of gets this look when he's about to get serious. Nate swears they see it more and more every day, the way he kind of almost seems far away. It's a look they recognize from their father and it doesn't quite put them at ease. But like always, he understands even if he worries himself. Gone were the days of sitting at brunch and feeling normal, everything was heavier now. "You've been through a lot in a short amount of time." It's blunt but it's gentle because it's the truth, they don't really ever have a reason to lie. "We're all in over our heads." It wasn't just the druid, it was just about everyone and yet that didn't offer him any comfort like it should have. They express this by offering Atlas an almost grim smile before giving a shake of their head. "I have an idea that sounds incredibly stupid if all of this ends." Depending primarily on how it ends. "I think I want normal."
