being otherkin/a therian is really fun but also...yeah theres not a lot of stuff for people with more uncommon theriotypes which is certainly a bummer. im a marmoset, but the (very few) people i found who were also primates were gibbons and chimps. i love my canine and feline friends, but its definitely a bit isolating.
Yeah I get you.. I canā€™t say Iā€™ve ever seen a primate in the therian community to be honest, that must be rough. Hope you can find some marmoset friends anon. šŸ˜”

I'm not a fursuit furry or a therian furry I'm an oh my god I don't understand humanity and humanity doesn't understand me, I FUCKING LOVE THAT WEIRD CREATURE THANGG ITS SO MUCH!!! I WISH I COULD BE ONE furry. Like I see a lesser anteater or a gibbon or a dilute calico and I feel them plucking at the threads of my spirit like a little awkward jazz band

I would like to offer this resource for therians, an extensive list of all of Sir David Attenboroughā€™s nature documentaries that are available on soap2day, and a full list of what species* they each (notably, prominently) feature the natural behaviors of, separated by episode, and omitting species that were only shown dead, juvenile or being predated on. This took me a while (I have been working on it since Prehistoric Planetā€™s release) because I did in fact have to watch every single series in full in order to list all the species and the episodes are around 50 minutes long, but enjoy.
Long post ahead:
Most of these shows have closed captioning, which is why Iā€™ve picked soap2day. Planet Earth is the only one that doesnā€™t. I did not include Dynasties and Dynasties II because each episode only features one species.
Thank you to Birch (@ambiguousmuttā€‹) for his help (he watched about half of the episodes) so I didnā€™t have to do it individually. Credit goes to him as well.
*Sometimes Attenborough doesnā€™t say the specific species and I was too busy trying to get through the episodes to identify it. In those cases I just put the most specific name I could.

Being a primate therian is actually really neat because I feel like all primates are my cousins in some way, you know? And in a way they kinda are? I mean we all in theory share a common ancestor.
Then there's how all us New/Old World Monkeys, gibbons, orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, bonobos and humans who are all anthropoids on top of that!
I love looking at other primates including humans and going - I am like you but I am not you but I see myself in you and I see the world in the both of us.

Note
how do you express(?) being a simian? i dunno if thats the right word for it, but as a doe i express my deerness by eating stuff like dandelions and bleating when i get angry,, trying to learn more about the therian community as a young doe <3
Thank you for asking!! I love hearing about others experiences and sharing my own <3
I dont always feel the need to express my animality, as my existence already feels inherently animal, and for the most part thats ok with me :3
However there are certain things that give me species euphoria. Stimming is a big one, idk why but it feels very monkey to me. And obviously climbing is very nice and helps me connect. Eating grapes, cherry tomatoes, and crickets is also kinda euphoric, and i do occasionally like to make monkey and gibbon noises when im excited or bored.
Gear and quads dont do all that much for me, however im very interested in making or getting a nice monkey like tail.
