"Y'know like - when you first meet her in the game she tells Ghost it either has to replace its sibling and sacrifice itself to keep the plague at bay for longer or the kingdoom will be further infected and doomed. She doesn't seem concerned about its well being in the slighted and agreed with the Pale King on the vessel plan in the first place. And whenever Ghost shows a sense of consciousness she tries to find a reason behind it. Yet people keep making her into a loving mother who was mad about Pale King sacrificing the Hollow Knight."

"But because Ghost possesses a consciousness it has another option that the White Lady never even considers - it can come to terms with the circumstances of its existence and its tragic past and it can get rid of the plague altogether without being the next vessel to host the Radiance. It still dies but the journey still mattered. Ghost learned about its past and helped people and formed bonds and the reason it came back to Hallownest in the first place is because it heard its sibling cry out in pain and wanted to free them. And it succeeded. But none of that even matters and makes sense to the White Lady and I feel making her into a loving and caring mother just because she's pretty and has a calm theme is in the same vein as denying Ghost its agency just because it doesnt express emotion in conventional or obvious ways. The point isnt that is succeeded because its an actually hollow vessel, the point is the vessels shouldnt have been subjected to their terrible fate and be dehumanized in the first place and sacrificing them will always be doomed to fail."
