I always want to hear abiut the ghost Hunter Grian & ghost scar au. Hello

Hi hello! Right. So, consider this.

Scar is a ghost. He lives in an abandoned, decrepit house. (It used to be nice once. He built it himself.) The house is famous for being haunted. This attracts two types of people:

One is ghost hunters. They're either amateur ones who fool around, or professional ones that are jaded and know what they came for. In and out, always. They come, they pretend like they care, get their content, pack up and go.

The second one is young people who come in because they've been dared to by their friends. Thrill seekers, cowards pretending to be brave, etc. You know the lot. They don't care about the ghost that's there. They care about spookiness and fear spikes and proving a point.

Now, Scar is as jumpy as we know him to be. Half the time he scares people, it's because he got scared first. But sometimes, he does it on purpose. Sometimes he likes to scare others. For a laugh. Just to cause mischief. To amuse himself.

But underneath it all? He's watching his house crumble around him, people who know nothing about him keep telling him (or more like, telling each other; very little of the conversation is usually aimed at Scar) that he's scary, that he's evil.

Scar can't do anything about any of it. He can just be.

It's the only thing he has left.

And he's so, so lonely.

Let's throw Grian into the mix. In a way, he does fall into one of the categories - he is a ghost hunter. But it's not as much for content, as it it for the sake of his own curiosity.

So when he's in the house and he tries to talk to Scar? It... feels different. Something about it is shifted. Maybe it's the questions he asks. The way he looks around. The way he speaks into the silence of the house, without knowing if there's anyone to listen.

Scar is there, and he listens.

And he tries to talk to him. It's hard. It's not easy to communicate when you're a ghost, starved and lonely and sad. But he tries. For once, he makes a proper effort.

Grian picks up on it, and maybe they have a halting, broken conversation through various tools. Staticky radios and flickering flashlights and taps on the wooden walls.

Once Scar finds out that Grian's trying to really listen and understand, instead of jumping to conclusions and putting words into Scar's mouth that he never intended to say, Scar tries to say so, so much. Words tumble out, but words are no longer his language, and they refuse to come across the way he shapes them.

He grows scared, then.

Because here's this one person who is trying to understand him, but just like everyone else, he's bound to leave, too. Right? So Scar panics, and he uses his powers to lock the house. He traps Grian inside, if only until the dawn.

At first, Grian freaks out.

This makes Scar panic too, and he strings up apologies and tries to somehow show him that he's not going to hurt him (it's hard. it doesn't work.) - but he's too desperate for company, for understanding, for someone to be there. For someone to act like maybe deep underneath all of this, Scar is still a person.

And maybe Grian catches on, after a while. And maybe they try communicating again.

And maybe it goes better this time.

And Grian comes to understand that this ghost is just lonely and sad.

He makes a deal. He promises to come back to visit again. And Scar... lets him go. He lets him go and he hopes.

It's all he can do.

(Here are supplemental thoughts of how the rest of it could go:)

(Grian does come back. Each time, the communication is easier. Scar tells him how upset he is with the way people come in and treat him. And the way his house is falling apart at the seams. And how everyone acts like he's this evil, demonic thing. How they scare him sometimes. How he doesn't want to deal with it anymore.)

(He doesn't beg Grian to stay again. But he wants to.)

(Now consider: what if Grian ends up buying the house. What if he ends up renovating it with Mumbo. What if they move in. What if they bring in potted plants that Scar offhandedly mentions liking. What if they bring in a stray cat (Jellie). What if down the line, when they're all settled and know each other fairly well, they just start messing with each other like the menaces they are. For entertainment. Always making sure to know where the boundaries are and what lines to not cross. Always making sure to check up on each other if something goes too far or wrong.)

okay so i've been just absolutely brainrotting over this for like weeks now and its time to finally post it!

i've basically just been compiling songs that i think fit each of the life series winners, and they're either songs i've seen work really really well in animatics already or songs that would probably work really well, but are less popular or not associated with this fandom (yet)

i'll be linking+listing them here as well as providing little snippets of explanation for why i think the song fits, but i don't feel like making actual spotify playlists or smth, so if anyone else wants to do that, be my guest.

2. A Big Day for Grimley - AJJ: this one is because of this animatic, and also the lyrics fit the characters almost too well

I came back to the desert, and the desert came into me And now there’s a quietness, and it’s deafening (returned to the desert for the final duel, and now that he's the only one left, the absence of his partner is deafening)

i could go on much longer about this song, but i feel like the animatic sums it up really well so GO WATCH THAT GO GO GO

3. Take Me to War - The Crane Wives: i know that everyone and their mother has done desertduo crane wives, but i've yet to see anyone use this song, which is a shame since its one of my favorites!

4. Community Gardens - The Scary Jokes: this is watcher!grian again, sorry not sorry- i do have a really vivid image in my head of an animatic for this song tho (the brainrot goes deep, i cannot escape)

Full disclosure, I am a monster A creature of despair, not that that should be a cause for concern (its so watcher coded im gnawing on the walls)

(ok so remember when i said i had an animatic idea about two sentences ago? ya. so i imagine this part as watcher!grian going through and causing the final deaths of all the winners (except scar we'll get there i promise) for instance, smiting scott at the end of LL, severing pearl's soulmate string in DL, and checking the time left before killing martyn in LimL)

The culmination of man's mistakes came the day The sun ran so hot, it turned the desert to glass (this is the whole "hail mary" thing where they blew up the whole desert and still didn't kill anyone)

If there's something to be learned from all these losers It's that the price that you pay For arrogance and a false sense of immunity Is to face the wrath of a dying star (false sense of immunity is scar's no kill passes, reputation points, etc., which really didn't mean all that much in the end (see: Bdubs))

5. Passerine - The Oh Hellos: aside from the obvious bird symbolism (passerine are songbirds), the overall theme of this song fits the character pretty well! (i think it could also apply to DL jimmy if you squint)

You were the song that I'd always sing You were the light that the fire would bring But I can't shake this feeling that I was only Pushing the spear into your side again (3L typical desert/light/sun/fire imagery, with a bonus helping this time of 3L typical self doubt and/or survivor's guilt! you love to see it)

My palms and fingers still reek of gasoline From throwing fuel to the fire of that Greco-Roman dream Purifying the holy rock to melt the gilded seams It don't bring me relief, no it don't bring me nothing (more arson what can i say- also the hollow existentialism that comes with killing your friends)

When he comes a knocking at my door What am I to do, What am I to do, oh lord (ok i like to imagine this line as grian realizing that scar's SL win means he goes to hang out with the winners now, meaning uhoh reunion time! that's about to be awkward!)

6. Do It All The Time - IDKHBTFM: yeah i know it doesn't seem like it fits at first, but i think parts of it captures the spontaneous silliness of 3L pretty well

After 8x04 (I freaked out a bit but still positive)– Jonerys endgame

I still believe(or dreaming about) in Jonerys endgame, and being positive so I don’t go mad.

First, I don’t believe in the leaks about J killing D. Probably “fake leaks” with some real ones in the middle, to getting our heads fucked up, so I still believe in Jonerys endgame.

I Believe Dany is not getting mad but the point of all this season is mess with our heads so we have that fear all the time. The writes know some people would believe that she’s turning Mad, and that the smart ones don’t, but even don’t believing would fear that the writers are doing it. So it begins with leaving us all episodes with that flavor of Dany that there is that possibility (but in the next episode they erase that chance and build another for the next episode):

“Dany will betray the North” – she didn’t

“Dany will kill Jon” – she didn’t

(…)The new one is: “Dany will burn KL,”

So we were always with the fear of this being true, but never did.

The big shit about 8x04 is that D&D made Varys and Tyrion discuss all people  concerns…like they are having the fear of Dany getting Mad like people watching the show. So at this point the idea of that possibility is in everyone’s head( even in those like me that don’t believe that is possible..but I have the fear, you have the fear, we have the fear that D&D could do it)..so they are winning..because this is all they want us to think( and is because of this that Emilia was talking about the last flavour in our mouth).

In 8x04 they even made Missandei scream “Dracarys”…and so people went crazy even more…”She’s turning MAD in 8x05” …so I believe(and hope) the twist is coming for all of us.

Were people real expecting our Jonerys to be happy all the episodes? This is the big shit they have to being through together to strengthen their love.. and so they can have some nice things in the end(yes I still belive)…it’s the price I guess…the ride it’s gonna be the fuckin hell, with hard times, hard losses, hard scars in the soul (biter) to prove that love wins all these shits(sweet).

So they had be pushing our girl to her limits…and I belive that Jon is the one who will losing shit next episode…Jon is the next gamer in the game of thrones (Sansa  made this  shitty favour of sold his head to the game)…because of this not voluntary situation it’s his time of being pushed to the limits.

That scene where Jon left Ghost behind…for me..is the representation of  him separating from his stark identity for now…it’s time to explore the other half(of identity conflict)

About the scene I saw from the first promo of Jon and Dany in Drangonstone, she’s giving him her back so, I believe that at that point she knows that Jon told his “sisters” and that Varys and Tyrion and co, all they know…and this time, is her that is pushing Jon away(like he did in the North)  and maybe saying “so now they know you who you are because of your big honored mouth..so go..be a Targaryen..deal with the shit! Like I warned you, they will destroy us now”, and that means…more angst for us!?yes it means..and Jon will be the one this time..out of his habitat, lost, Stark family member(Sansa) betrayed him, and some people will want him to rule in the IT…the shit that he hates the most.

In the chance of this stuff being true..i still believe boatbaby shows up and save the day…it will be the light in all their darkness.. the miracle (and love) that wakes them for what is real important, the love that Jon thought he didn't care,like he said to Benji, the love that Maester Aemon said it'll bigger than duty,the love that makes them a real family(that they never really had), the love that 'll bring them together and make them say fuck all the rest. But everything has a price...

Maybe this is just me being delusional, but i will focus in this positive vibe.

Could potentially be non-sci-fi and follow him through college in his goal to become an engineer for NASA? Either way, give me a lead that isn’t a straight white middle aged guy. Sinny usually is pretty good at taking bugs outside, sometimes they’ll squash a bug.

As a demon, no. As a demon/human (Cinder), still no.

Being exorsised and branded left scars, but other than that, Sinny hasn’t really been injured.

Sinny is honestly a fan of both, although they’ll definitely take a good horror film over comedy.

Their wings. They are a major inconvience and a PAIN IN THE ASSSSSSSSS to hide unless Sinny is in their “pure” human form (which in of itself is a pain to maintain).

Yes but then they remember it’s okay to be at their own pace.
