Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo Zéda, 2023. A colour-concept show car for Milan's Motor Valley Fest this weekend that signals the end of Maserati's 572hp Twin Turbo V8 engine which will cease production in late 2023. Since 1959 Maserati have produced over 100,000 V8-engined models. Along with the Quattroporte, Maserati will present Trofeo Zéda versions of Levante and Ghibli as well as a GranTurismo Zéda from the previous generation

Este auto trae algunas sorpresas y peculiaridades fascinantes, pero es el rendimiento extremo lo que realmente te hace golpear el asiento trasero. ¡Literalmente! Con 580 caballos de fuerza y 384 pies libras de torque, es un monstruo real. Comenzando con el interior, Maserati no ha escatimado con los materiales de lujo y los detalles finos. Puedes sentir esa atmósfera italiana en cada esquina. ¿Y qué tal ese cluster de instrumentos digitales? ¡Es genial y bastante intuitivo! Pero este no es solo un espectáculo de lujo y comodidad. The Ghibli 334 Ultima unlocks a new top speed of 208 mph! It wears more serious performance tires, and comes in a vibrant shade of turquoise! Wow! The Levante V8 Ultima features lots of carbon-fiber accents and special badges denoting its limited production status! Only 103 of each are being built! Crazy! When Maserati revealed a new generation of its slinky GranTurismo coupe last fall, the sports car was missing the roaring V-8 that made previous iterations so memorable! Instead it offered either a twin-turbo V-6 or an all-electric powertrain! What a shock! That move hinted at a broader demise for the eight-cylinder engine! Now Maserati has announced two special editions - the Ghibli 334 Ultima and Levante V8 Ultima - at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that mark the end of the line for the V-8! The end of an era! Will Ghibli Ultima Be the World's Fastest Sedan? Wow! The 2024 Ghibli 334 Ultima takes the brand's smallest sedan to the limit! It's set to be phased out in the coming years! No details on the V-8 were provided, but we presume the Ultima packs the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter unit from the Trofeo model, rated at 572 horsepower! The "334" in the name references the top speed in kilometers per hour! Maserati raised the Vmax from 203 to 208 mph for this special edition! Maserati also says weight savings and new tires helped cut the zero-to-62-mph time from 4.3 to 3.9 seconds! ¡Maserati Trofeo Ghibli!

Había pasado mucho tiempo desde que habíamos visto más motores V8 bajo el capó de un Ghibli. Para encontrar uno, hay que volver al modelo original comercializado entre 1967 y 1974. Desde su renacimiento en 2013, al sedán Maserati solo se le permitía un V6, gasolina o diesel. La llegada de la etiqueta "Trofeo" a la 3ª generación del modelo está reorganizando las cartas.

El Maserati Ghibli Trofeo, al igual que el Quattroporte Trofeo, se producirá en la fábrica de Grugliasco en Turín, Italia. El Levante Trofeo se ensambla en Mirafiori. La llegada al concesionario debería tener lugar a finales de 2021. Por el lado del precio, Maserati no ha entregado detalles, pero el billete de entrada no debería empezar en menos de 110.000 €, como mínimo.

The expanded Trofeo range is powered by a 580hp twin turbo 3.8 litre V8 sourced from Ferrari in Maranello built to Maserati’s specifications. It is the first time the Ghibli saloon has been available with a V8 engine making it and the Quattroporte the fastest Maserati saloons ever, with a top speed of 326 km/h. Levante Trofeo’s maximum speed is 302 km/h.
