Thomas Quaye, a former Hearts of Oak legend, has been declared dead.
According to the family, Thomas Quaye passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in the 37 Military Hospital after a protracted fight with a cerebrovascular accident. Quaye began playing organized football at Ken Harrison in Mamprobi, then moved on to Tejitex, the youth team of Hearts of Oak, and finally the State Transport Company Soccer Team. The Governing Council of Cape Coast Technical University has appointed Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay as the first Chancellor of the University.
A globally-respected TEDx speaker and business mogul, Dr. Orleans-Lindsay ranks among Ghanaās most cherished business leaders. He is the CEO of JL Properties and Executive Chairman of JL Holdings, with interests in real estate, agriculture, and more. His multiple business interests span the construction, beverages, security, bakery, supplies, agriculture, aquaculture, and consultancy industries in Africa and Europe.
He is an alumnus of St Peterās Senior Secondary School (Nkwatia), OāLevel Certificate, St Augustineās College, Cape Coast, Aā Level Certificate (Science), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Construction Management (University of Salford), Doctor of
