Understanding Arabic Future Tense Conjugation
When you're learning Arabic, one of the essential things you'll need to master is verb conjugation, especially when it comes to expressing future actions. In Arabic, the future tense isn't formed by changing the verb itself (as in English), but by adding a prefix to the root of the verb. This can initially feel a bit tricky, but with a little practice, it becomes much easier to understand.
The Basics of Arabic Future Tense
In Arabic, the future tense is created by attaching the prefix "سـ" (pronounced as "sa") or "سوف" (pronounced as "sawfa") to the base verb. Both of these prefixes serve to indicate that an action will happen in the future. "سـ" is a bit more common and used in everyday conversation, while "سوف" tends to sound more formal or literary. The verb itself doesn’t change in its root form.
For example:
"يكتب" (yaktubu) means "he writes" (present tense).
"سـيكتب" (sayaktubu) means "he will write" (future tense).
Notice how the verb form remains largely the same, with just the prefix “سـ” added to signal the future tense.
Using “سوف” vs. “سـ”
While both "سـ" and "سوف" express the future tense, there's a slight difference in their use. "سوف" often implies a more distant or definite future action, and is usually seen in formal contexts, literature, or when you want to emphasize the future action. "سـ" is simpler and often used in daily conversation, and it doesn’t necessarily emphasize the future as strongly as "سوف" does.
For example:
"سوف أذهب" (sawfa adhhabu) – "I will go" (perhaps more formal, implying a planned or definite future action).
"سأذهب" (sa’adhhabu) – "I will go" (more casual, commonly used in daily speech).
In everyday speech, you’ll likely hear the “سـ” more often. It feels more natural and immediate.
How to Conjugate Verbs in the Future Tense
Arabic verbs change depending on who is performing the action. The future tense is no different, so you'll have to adjust the prefix for the subject (I, you, he, she, etc.). This is important for conjugating verbs correctly in the future tense.
Here are the basic conjugations with “سـ”:
I will – سـ (sa) + verb: "سأكتب" (sa’aktubu) – "I will write"
You (masculine) will – سـ (sa) + verb: "ستكتب" (sataktubu) – "You will write"
You (feminine) will – سـ (sa) + verb: "ستكتبين" (sataktubeen) – "You will write"
He will – سـ (sa) + verb: "سيكتب" (sayaktubu) – "He will write"
She will – سـ (sa) + verb: "ستكتب" (sataktubu) – "She will write"
We will – سـ (sa) + verb: "سنكتب" (sanaktubu) – "We will write"
You all will – سـ (sa) + verb: "ستكتبون" (sataktuboona) – "You all will write"
They will – سـ (sa) + verb: "سيكتبون" (sayaktuboona) – "They will write"
If you're using “سوف” instead of "سـ," the conjugations are similar, but "سوف" is a little more formal. For example:
"سوف أذهب" (sawfa adhhabu) – "I will go"
"سوف يكتب" (sawfa yaktubu) – "He will write"
Example Sentences
Here’s how future tense conjugation works in action. Let’s take a look at a few example sentences:
أريد أن أذهب إلى السوق غدًا (ureed an adhhab ila al-souq ghadan) – "I want to go to the market tomorrow." In this sentence, you can see the verb "أذهب" (adhhab) in the present tense. But if you want to make it future tense, it changes to "سأذهب" (sa’adhhab).
سأدرس في المكتبة غدًا (sa’adrusu fi al-maktaba ghadan) – "I will study in the library tomorrow."
سنلعب كرة القدم في الحديقة (sanal’abu kuraat al-qadam fi al-hadiqa) – "We will play soccer in the park."
ستذهب إلى المدرسة بعد قليل (satadhhab ila al-madrasa ba'da qaleel) – "She will go to the school soon."
سأغسل الصحون الآن (sa’ghassilu al-suhun al-aan) – "I will wash the dishes now."
Notice how the tense stays consistent but the subject changes the verb form. This is a critical aspect of mastering Arabic conjugation.
Future Tense and Negation
To make a sentence negative in the future tense, you can use the word "لن" (lan), which is placed before the verb. This is equivalent to saying "will not" in English.
For example:
"لن أذهب" (lan adhhab) – "I will not go."
"لن أكتب" (lan aktubu) – "I will not write."
This negation structure is straightforward and commonly used in conversation.
Conclusion
Arabic future tense conjugation is simpler than it may initially appear. With a clear understanding of the prefixes "سـ" and "سوف," and the practice of conjugating verbs based on the subject, you’ll be able to express future actions with ease. The best way to get comfortable with it is to practice with different verbs, subjects, and scenarios. Before you know it, you’ll be speaking about the future in Arabic like a pro!
Remember: سأذهب إلى السوق غدًا – "I will go to the market tomorrow."

Understanding Arabic Adverbs – أَحوَال (ʾaḥwal)
In the study of the Arabic language, one of the key elements to mastering its structure is understanding the role of adverbs. These words help modify verbs, adjectives, or even other adverbs, providing additional information such as time, place, manner, or frequency. In Arabic, adverbs are known as Arabic Adverbs – أَحوَال (ʾaḥwal). These play a crucial role in giving context and depth to sentences, making communication more precise and rich.
What Are Arabic Adverbs (أَحوَال)?
In Arabic, adverbs, or أَحوَال (ʾaḥwal), are words that describe how, when, where, and to what extent something happens. They can be formed from adjectives or other parts of speech, often indicating a quality or state of being in relation to the action described in the sentence. For example, adverbs can tell us if an action happens quickly, slowly, rarely, or in a specific location.
Types of Arabic Adverbs
Arabic adverbs are classified based on what they describe. Some of the main categories include:
Adverbs of Time (أحوال الزمان): These describe when an action takes place. Words such as "now," "soon," and "yesterday" are typical examples. For instance:
"اليوم" (al-yawm) means "today."
"غدًا" (ghadan) means "tomorrow."
Adverbs of Place (أحوال المكان): These adverbs indicate where an action occurs. Some examples include:
"هنا" (huna) means "here."
"هناك" (hunak) means "there."
Adverbs of Manner (أحوال الكيفية): These provide details on how an action is performed, such as the speed or quality. For example:
"ببطء" (bubṭiʾ) means "slowly."
"جيدًا" (jayyidan) means "well."
Adverbs of Frequency (أحوال التكرار): These adverbs show how often something happens. Examples include:
"دائمًا" (da'iman) means "always."
"أحيانًا" (aḥyanan) means "sometimes."
Adverbs of Degree (أحوال الدرجة): These express the intensity or extent of an action or state. For example:
"جداً" (jiddan) means "very."
"قليلاً" (qalilan) means "a little."
How to Form Arabic Adverbs
Many Arabic adverbs are derived from adjectives. To form an adverb, it’s common to add the suffix "-ًا" to the adjective, though there are exceptions. For example:
The adjective "سريع" (sariʿ), meaning "fast," becomes the adverb "سريعًا" (sariʿan), meaning "quickly."
The adjective "طويل" (ṭawil), meaning "long," changes to "طويلًا" (ṭawilan), meaning "longly" or "for a long time."
Placement of Adverbs in Arabic Sentences
The placement of adverbs in Arabic sentences usually depends on the type of adverb. For example:
Adverbs of time and place can often appear at the beginning or end of a sentence.
Adverbs of manner usually come after the verb or after the object, depending on what is being emphasized.
For instance:
"سافر محمد اليوم" (sāfar Muḥammad al-yawm) means "Muhammad traveled today."
"قرأ الكتاب ببطء" (qara'a al-kitāb bibuṭ'ī) means "He read the book slowly."
In both cases, the adverb provides extra detail about the action in the sentence.
The Importance of Adverbs in Arabic
Adverbs like Arabic Adverbs – أَحوَال (ʾaḥwal) are crucial because they enhance communication by adding layers of meaning. They help clarify the context of the action, making it easier for the listener or reader to understand when, where, how, or to what extent something is happening. Without adverbs, sentences would be much more limited and vague, and the nuances of the language would be lost.
In conclusion, Arabic Adverbs – أَحوَال (ʾaḥwal) are an essential part of mastering the language, as they allow speakers to be more precise and expressive. Understanding the different types of adverbs and how to use them correctly will greatly improve both your spoken and written Arabic, helping you sound more natural and fluent. Whether you're describing actions in terms of time, place, frequency, or intensity, adverbs are your go-to tools for adding depth and clarity to your sentences.

What an In-Country Value (ICV) certificate is and Why your company needs it for business
The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) launched an In-Country Value (ICV) program in 2018 with a procurement focus to promote GDP diversification, emiratization, and strategic considerations. Later, earlier this year, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) partnered with Adnoc to introduce the idea of a unified ICV certification process for suppliers in the United Arab Emirates, in keeping with the financial objectives of the government accelerator program, Ghadan 21 and in response to the program’s success. Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi Ports, Adnoc, and ADDED are now known to as Participating Entities after they all entered the unified ICV certification procedure last year. In order to collaborate on the program, Adnoc has also inked agreements with Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and Mubadala Investment Company. Soon, more entities should sign up for the ICV certification platform. The goal of the unified ICV program is to combine the ICV certification procedure into a single ICV certificate that may be utilized by any supplier, primary or secondary, that plans to participate in the procurement process of the Participating Entities. “Improving private sector participation, facilitating GDP diversification, and localizing essential supply chain components are the primary goals of the ICV Certificate. To put it simply, “In-Country Value is the amount that a supplier spends that stays in the UAE or contributes to the UAE, as stated by Peeyush Joardar, Partner, ICV & Audit at MBG Corporate Services, one of the authorized certifying bodies in the UAE.” By December 2019, more than 1,500 Emiratis were employed in the private sector thanks to the Adnoc ICV program, which has reinvested more than Dh44 billion ($12 billion) in the UAE economy. In the UAE, there are over 3,000 businesses with ICV certification. Among the areas taken into account for ICV certification are manufactured goods, investment, Emiratization, expatriate contribution, revenue from sources outside the United Arab Emirates, and increase in investment. As a result, the ICV program has developed a new business line that must be supplied from the United Arab Emirates. Additionally beneficial to businesses, the ICV certificate gives them the option to use their first right of refusal throughout the tendering process. Companies without the ICV certificate will still be able to compete on Adnoc Group projects, but they will not have the advantage over those with a higher ICV score because their ICV score will be 0 in the bid review process. “We have a team of experts with a track record of issuing ICV certificates across multiple industries, and we can help you obtain your unified ICV certificate within a short turnaround time,” he claims. It is our responsibility to first help clients comprehend the ICV program and identify the variables that influence the ICV score. We then offer ideas for actions to raise the score, such as streamlining organizational procedures, combining legal entities, organizing investments, optimizing the supply chain, and reducing the number of employees. The company’s audited financial statements prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards serve as the sole foundation for ICV certification (IFRS). It is recommended that financial statements be no more than two years from the year of certification. Furthermore, even though ownership of a group of licenses is shared, each license inside the group is regarded as a separate legal entity for businesses with several entities. “However, one combined ICV certificate is allowed for the company in that emirate if it has multiple branches in the same emirate with identical activities and ownership listed on the licences,” he clarifies. Here are the steps on how to obtain an ICV certification: Issue audited financial statements The first step is to issue audited financial statements on your company. These statements have to be prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and have to no longer be older than two years from the certifying 12 months. The statements must additionally be signed through an authorized auditor from the UAE Ministry of Economy. Complete the ICV certificate utility form Once you have got your audited financial statements, you can whole the ICV certificates software shape. The form may be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT). Submit the application form and supporting files Once you have got finished the software shape, you should submit it to the MoIAT along with the following assisting files: A copy of your company’s change license A reproduction of your organization’s registration certificates A reproduction of your enterprise’s articles of affiliation A copy of your enterprise’s memorandum of know-how A replica of your organization’s organizational chart A reproduction of your organisation’s worker list A replica of your business enterprise’s education and improvement packages A reproduction of your organization’s network engagement initiatives A replica of your organization’s environmental sustainability regulations Pay the utility fee. The software fee for an ICV certificate is AED 1,000. The price may be paid online or via a financial institution transfer. Attend the ICV certification evaluation. Once your application has been reviewed, you may be invited to wait an ICV certification assessment. The evaluation may be conducted through a group of MoIAT assessors, who will evaluation your agency’s compliance with the ICV criteria. Receive your ICV certificate. If your employer is a success within the ICV certification evaluation, you’ll be issued an ICV certificate. The certificates may be legitimate for two years. How we help you get ICV Certificate for Business? The ICV certificate, once obtained, is good for 14 months from the date the audited financial accounts are released. If the supplier so desires, he may recertify using the same audited financial statements at any point during the certificate’s validity; however, the initial 14-month validity period will not be extended. To assist and set up ICV certification, KGRN Services has established specialized internal teams in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. KGRN Services was founded in 2008 and offers tactics and solutions that promote corporate change. The company operates in India, Australia, UK, UAE and the Middle East, with its headquarters located in Dubai and over 150 employees at its UAE office. It is located in six countries and has sixteen global offices. The post What an In-Country Value (ICV) certificate is and Why your company needs it for business appeared first on ICV Certificate .

It was narrated that 'Aishah said that:

Allahummaghfir li ahli baqi'il gharaqad. (Peace be upon you, O abode of believing people. Understanding the Arabic Present Tense: A Simple Guide
The Arabic language has a unique and structured way of expressing time, and understanding how the present tense works is key to speaking and writing in Arabic effectively. In this article, we'll break down the concept of the Arabic present tense, showing how it's formed, how it's used, and providing helpful examples.
What is the Arabic Present Tense?
In Arabic, the present tense is used to talk about actions that are happening right now, habits, general truths, and actions that are regularly performed. It's also used to express future actions in some cases, depending on the context. The present tense in Arabic is often called the "muḍāriʿ" (مضارع).
Unlike in English, where we simply add "s" for third-person singular verbs in the present tense (e.g., "he works"), Arabic verbs change in a more complex way, depending on the subject and verb form.
The Basics of Forming the Present Tense in Arabic
In Arabic, verbs are typically built on three-letter roots. The present tense is formed by adding specific prefixes and suffixes to the root. These changes depend on the subject (who is doing the action) and whether the verb is regular or irregular.
For example, the root "k-t-b" (كتب), which means "to write," forms the following present tense conjugations:
I write: أكتب (ʾaktubu)
You (masculine singular) write: تكتب (taktubu)
You (feminine singular) write: تكتبين (taktubīna)
He writes: يكتب (yaktubu)
She writes: تكتب (taktubu)
We write: نكتب (naktubu)
You (plural) write: تكتبون (taktubūna)
They write: يكتبون (yaktubūna)
As you can see, the verb changes based on the subject pronoun. It's important to note that Arabic is an inflected language, so word endings often change to reflect grammatical relations such as tense, gender, and number.
How the Arabic Present Tense Is Used
Describing Current Actions
The present tense is used for actions that are happening right now. For example:
أنا أكتب رسالة (ʾanā ʾaktubu risāla) – "I am writing a letter."
هو يلعب كرة القدم (huwa yalʿabu kurat al-qadam) – "He is playing soccer."
In both examples, the action is taking place at the moment of speaking.
Expressing General Facts or Truths
The present tense can also be used to talk about general facts, truths, or situations that are always true:
السماء زرقاء (al-samāʾ zarqāʾ) – "The sky is blue."
القطط تحب الحليب (al-qiṭāṭ tuḥibbu al-ḥalīb) – "Cats like milk."
Talking About Habits or Routines
Another use of the present tense is to describe regular or habitual actions:
أذهب إلى المدرسة كل يوم (ʾadhhabu ʾilā al-madrasa kulla yawm) – "I go to school every day."
هو يشرب القهوة في الصباح (huwa yashrabu al-qahwa fī al-ṣabāḥ) – "He drinks coffee in the morning."
Indicating Future Actions
The Arabic present tense can also be used to talk about the future, especially when it's clear from the context that the action will happen later. For example:
سأذهب إلى السينما غدًا (saʾadhhabu ʾilā al-sīnimā ghadan) – "I will go to the cinema tomorrow."
نلتقي غدًا (naltaqī ghadan) – "We will meet tomorrow."
This use of the present tense for the future can often be understood by the time expressions in the sentence (like "tomorrow" or "soon").
Key Characteristics of the Arabic Present Tense
Prefixes and Suffixes: The conjugation changes based on the subject, as shown earlier with different forms for "I," "he," "you," etc. These prefixes and suffixes are crucial to identifying who is doing the action.
Dual and Plural Forms: In Arabic, there's a distinction between singular, dual, and plural. For example, "you" (plural) is different from "you" (singular), and the verb changes accordingly. Similarly, the verb changes when referring to two people as opposed to more than two.
The Use of the Verb "to be": In Arabic, there is no verb "to be" in the present tense. For example, "I am happy" in Arabic is simply "أنا سعيد" (ʾanā saʿīd) – literally "I happy." This is different from English, where we use "am."
Negative Present Tense in Arabic
To make a verb negative in the present tense, you add the word لا (lā) before the verb. For example:
أنا لا أكتب الآن (ʾanā lā ʾaktubu al-ʾān) – "I am not writing right now."
هو لا يذهب إلى المدرسة (huwa lā yadhhabu ʾilā al-madrasa) – "He does not go to school."
You can also use ليس (laysa) to negate nominal sentences (sentences without a verb). For example:
هو ليس سعيدًا (huwa laysa saʿīdan) – "He is not happy."
Example in Action: Arabic Present Tense Sentence
To give a practical example, here's a sentence using the present tense:
أنا أكتب الآن مقالًا عن الزمن العربي (ʾanā ʾaktubu al-ʾān maqālan ʿan al-zaman al-ʿarabī) – "I am writing an article about the Arabic present tense."
In this example, the verb أكتب (ʾaktubu) is in the present tense, and the sentence is describing the current action of writing. The time expression الآن (al-ʾān) helps clarify that this action is happening at this moment.
Conclusion
The Arabic present tense is a fundamental building block for expressing actions, states, and facts. It's a versatile tense that can describe what’s happening right now, habitual actions, or even future events. By understanding the structure of the present tense and practicing conjugating verbs correctly, you'll be able to express yourself more naturally in Arabic, whether you're talking about daily routines, general truths, or things you plan to do.

Orang tua adalah salah satu yang berarti bagi kehidupanmu
Salah satu pintu surga untukmu
Jangan sia-siakan keberadaan mereka
Berbaktilah selagi bisa
Kita tak pernah tahu tentang ajal
Dan jika kalian tahu, 'kehilangan' mereka adalah sesuatu yang sangat berat
Yang butuh proses untuk menata hati dalam menghadapi kenyataan
