2K3 TMNT AU: Good Genes & Thick Hides An alternate branch taking place during the Good Genes Arc. The cure worked! Sort of...Donatello is slowly coming back to himself, but after being double mutated, he and his family are struggling with the changes both his body and mind have undergone. Will they be able to adapt and find a new sense of 'normal'? Heads up for: angst, hurt/comfort, minor injury/body horror, dysphoria, sibling shenanigans, teen-life crisis, turtle piles, and a 100% guaranteed happy ending. In which some tiny turtles make a home in the walls of Stocktronics lab, doing their best to make Stockman's life as aggravating as possible. A wandering night guard by the name of Casey Jones stumbles across them on a supply run, and the rest is history. All fluff and hijinks, little to no angst.

I squealed about this in the server but i'm gonna do it here too!! Thank you so much for including GGTH!Don in your illustration!! He looks amazing, I'm head over heels for this piece! WIP Good Genes & Thick Hides ref for Donnie!! There's a fun lil Summer Camp themed TMNT Fam Reunion thing going on and i'm speed running content for this AU so I can toss Don into the lake as your local summer camp cryptid!!!! Following the canonical end of the Turtle Sitting episodes, the brothers administer Stockman's cure to Don and quickly rush him home. The cure seems to be working but it's evident that despite Don's awareness returning, there are some changes that just aren't going to go away. New size, new shell, new scales, new tail, new instincts. Did their brother really ever come back at all? ~Cadoo 🐾 Some more fun lore bits under the cut~

Don does begin to shrink/lose some of the 2nd mutations' physical changes for a short time after the cure is administered

Eventually different changes start to take place, in some cases seemingly in reverse of the cure (ie: Don's tail & claws growing)

There is still confirmation that the 2nd mutation was breaking down Don's cells, LH is able to once again see that these additional changes are repairing some of that left over damage but he can't pinpoint why/what's causing this immune response without the mutagen still being present in Don's body.

Don gets to unlock fun new vocal cues and sounds! Talking verbally is hard but who needs it when you can snarl, chirp, growl, hiss, and purr! More to come eventually????

There aren't words to express how much i adore this project! It was so much fun watching it come together! Carl looks great in all of his cosplays! Jix you did such an amazing job! ~ Cadoo 🐾

Emoji Dress-up! (TMNT Fandom Family Reunion Fashion Show event!)

Let's dress up this turtle emoji for the Fandom Family Reunion fashion show, shall we?

This is a turtle emoji! We're gonna call him Carl. Because he looks like a Carl, doesn't he? (I got him from HERE)

Carl feels like playing dress-up in honor of fashion week. What will Carl decide to wear as he struts his stuff down the runway?

And to start us all off, Carl's coming in hot dressed as a charred but totally adorable Smokey from the Sparky AU by @belleyellsaboutturtles! With a bonus Sparky, who seems to really dislike clothes. (Cabin 15)

Time for Carl to turn that smile upside down as he changes into the look of the incredibly cool Foot Captain from @v-albion's True Colors AU! And Carl strikes an unamused pose! (cabin 14)

Speaking of cool, Carl straps on some Citadel fashion as Mikhail from @chessman-protocol's Covert AU! (Cabin 14)

Carl's a big fan of sunglasses, so he makes sure to flash them as he walks down the runway as @karonkar's Fear's Embrace OC Marco in his usual apocalyptic style! (Cabin 13/Cabin 14 Counselor)

Carl really enjoys dressing up as @twignotstick's character Mikey/Scout! That smile charms us all. (Cabin 14)

And now our turtle emoji friend is making another drastic color choice, as he changes into It's A Complicated Equation Donnie by @leilanising! Look at that tail! (cabin 14)

After a quick jump into the shower to wash off that blue, Carl is back to take the fashion world by storm as the cheery Mikey from @justalittleobsessed's Move Along AU! Check out his stylish mask tails. What a fashion statement! :D (Cabin 15)

@banana-pancake5's Donnie has been through a lot in the Letter From My Future Self AU, but he keeps moving forward! Carl strikes a pose. (Cabin 11)

Fashion goes metaphysical as Carl takes a spin as the adorably tragic Leo (a.k.a. Spirit) from @wandering-ghost's Ghost of the Past AU! (Cabin 15)

Carl puts on some pink for @icequeenabby (and @bluefeather-tmnt)'s super cool OC Billie Hamato from Too Many Turtles! (cabin 9)

Time for Carl to take a walk on the wild side as Donju from the Good Genes, Thick Hides AU, the brainchild of cadoodledoodleydoo and languajix on the blog @clawsandpaws-creativearchive! (cabin 15)

Carl is rocking it as the awesome and very stylish Donnie from Starry TMNT by @just-another-tired-gay-artist! (Cabin 14)

@itzzaira's 2018 Mikey has been through a lot, so Carl bandages up his arms for this one, wishing Mikey good luck with healing up! (Cabin 10)

And last but not least, Carl makes another apocalyptic fashion choice as he takes on Mike from my Hold Every Memory AU! (An AU of Ghost in the Shell by Amevello Blue, which, as I always say, please check out if you haven't read it! Our buddy Carl is almost as big a fan as I am.) (Cabin 14, myself)

Reina had been walking with Momo when she heard the crash. She was immidatly running toward where she had heard it trying to spot what was going on. Momo being her eyes in the sky as always. The cohoot didnt land as she followed with her eyes to see which of the other camper made a large hole in the wall.

Honestly tracking him or her without her trusty bird would probably be a lot harder. Still she did need to aproach with caution. Most the campers were kids but depening on how they reacted they could still cause a lot of accidental or perpousful damage.

If she had to choose between the two she prefered accidental. She stopped when she got to some area of the cave tucked a bit aways from the camp. A perfect hiding spot really. "Hello?" She spoke softly hoping not to startle who ever it was too badly. She wouldnt be surprised if just that still startled them if they were hiding. She needed to remain calm and careful not sure how this situation would turn out. "Is anyone in there?"

Reina became worried when she saw the blood. Injury that wasnt good. Still she wasnt in her line of work for no reason, the red eyes did not intimadate her either. She needed to just aproach like she spoke calm and careful. Some people and animals reacted the same when scared, lashing out at threats.

So with that in mind she knew trying to apear as nonthreatening as possible would be ideal. She mentally shook off the thoughts and actually got moving. "Are you ok? I saw a bit of blood do you need medical atention?"

Quite frankly she hadnt heard them respond yet. It made her more worried. Still at this point she was too far down this lagbombi hole to turn back now.
