Where’s Lianne Menethil’s Death Scene, Blizzard?

You KNOW Arthas had to have hunted her down. He knew all the palace bolt holes, and she was somebody with whom he had a bond that needed severing.

And you KNOW it wasn���t a quick job like it was with Terenas. Terenas was kind of a dick, but Lianne did absolutely everything she could to support and guide Arthas within the confines of her rank and role in society and within the family.

Even bad men love their moms, man.

Where’s Lianne sacrificing her chance to flee in favor of seeing Calia safely away with plenty of guards to defend her?

Where’s Arthas hunting her down, blinded still by the torrent of emotions that came with killing his father? Where’s Arthas catching up to see her cornered behind the palace by a group of undead?

Where’s Lianne knowing this is her son, knowing this is her husband’s murderer and still her boy and pleading with him every inch as desperately as Thassarian’s mother plead with Thassarian?

Where’s the hesitation as Arthas raised his blade? Where’s the instant where he nearly turned back and let her flee with her life? Where’s the moment of lingering softness when he remembers a thousand afternoons with her, reading or bringing her flowers or just talking to her?

Where’s the outcry as he swings not Frostmourne, but a blade he rips from the hands of the nearest death knight? Where’s Lianne weeping for her poor boy even as he strikes her down - a mother knows her son, Lianne knows her boy, knows this is killing him as surely as he’s killing her - where’s Arthas delivering a swifter, gentler death to her than to his father? Where’s Arthas refusing to bind her spirit, refusing to allow the dead to rip into her body or the cultists to use it in their experiments?
