BG2 mod release! Dead Gardens

Mod Name: Dead Gardens Premise: An archdruid died but rose again as an undead creature. He is unable to move on due to his greatest regret in life—he saved three children from being sacrificed to Malar. He regrets (1) his interference, and (2) the fact that two of the three children grew up to be terrible people. Help the undead archdruid find peace.... one way or another.

Start the quest by looking for Arianelle, near the Trademeet fountain, after defeating Faldorn. Expect maybe an hour of gameplay. Cernd, Jaheira, and high charisma will be helpful here, though you can complete the quest without any of those three. As always, the walkthrough is in the readme.

Incompatibilities: Will likely have issues with anything that modifies AR2602 (Cave in Forest to Suldanessalar). To the best of my knowledge though, no mod modifies this area.

‘I'm really confused as to why so many outfits worn by Dee and Maia in "Getaway Girls" had to be the same style in different colors. Was it meant to be a commentary on the struggle of finding flattering clothes while occupying larger bodies and I just missed it? From their main dress to their swimsuits to their final white outfits, it feels weird that the first two curvy playable characters are the ones who have a matching wardrobe during most of the book when PB can very easily design different outfits. They did it during Maia's test to win over Calliope, so why not throughout the rest of the book? Dee's a high-profile lawyer. She could've easily paid for a different type of outfit for both of them. And Anita is a celebrity model. She definitely could've spent a couple extra dollars to give the girls two unique swimsuits. Did I miss something?’

I don't know where people have gotten the idea that Sol ever forgave Asuka because it's implied the arcade and gameplay modes are post-Strive's main story* and Sol is very ready to throw down still haha

(these are his win lines against Asuka #R and R. Kreutz respectively)

*There's a line by Ky that refers to how much weaker Sol is now without the FoC in Sol's arcade mode (Sol: Stay outta this. I’m takin’ [Nagoriyuki] down one-on-one. Ky: You hardly count as “one” in your state.). I think there's a line somewhere else that implies it too, but I can't find it at the moment.

If they ever get around to it, I think Sol's going to take the rocket he's building at the end of Strive to go to the moon where they'll likely tie up emotional loose ends between him and Asuka, but I really don't think it's going to be on very friendly terms.

Got an idea for a new low-level questline, featuring an Argonian named "Hides-Things-Away." His deal is that he got tired of just stealing things himself, so now he hides things and sends thieves/adventurers off to retrieve them as a test of their skills. Once you've proven your worth, he may have information about items that other entities have hidden away....

Anyway, I'm going to be recording my making of this questline as a modmaking tutorial series. I know that I've already posted some tutorial videos, but now I have a headset with an actual microphone, and so the audio is waaay better

‘Getaway Girls is so underrated. I love how the main girls feel so grounded and real in their flaws and behavior. You can tell how much fun the writers had with it because it is one of their funniest books and the references are top tier. Also Juanita’s storyline was shockingly poignant. All in all, a really good book, and I wish others could see that too.’

Stress and Iskall use going to the beach as an excuse to give Ren a bath when he's dirty lmao

The problem with Ren is that he's smart. He's learnt to avoid the bathrooms if one of them is nearby. He's learnt not to trust them trying to get him outside for no reason (look, they wouldn't hose him down if he just got in the bath!) Ren always goes mad for the sea, however. Without fail.

In the guise of a good massage, Iskall is able to get enough soap into Ren's fur that it gets rid of most the dirt in the ocean. He goes wild in there, so it's not too difficult! They watch him bark at the waves, running up and down the shore. He's not caught onto this tactic yet, and they hope he never does. The smell of sea salt is nice on him!
