Do you think Chuck was an alcoholic? I could see him ending up in rehab at some point. I can also see he and Blair cheating each other---they're both the most immoral people on the planet, but I also think they'd eventually forgive each other

hi!! so truthfully I absolutely can't see either happening sorry 😭😭 chuck was always more of a drug addict than an alcoholic, although he drinks scotch on an daily basis it doesn't seem to be a problem for him unless he's spiralling and he doesn't really exhibit any signs of being an alcoholic. he turns to cocaine and other drugs when he spirals, although like serena he doesn't seem to have a cocaine addiction rather they use it when they feel things are going wrong. I think in terms of rehab if gg were real then obviously both serena and chuck would've probably had to go to rehab at some point as you can't really casually take cocaine, but it's not and after s5 neither are shown to be taking drugs (aside from chuck and nate smoking weed recreationally) so they're both not depending on drugs at all. to me chuck's version of rehab was in s5 where he goes to therapy and actively tries to improve himself, so I can't see him ending up in rehab after everything he did, and especially not now he's a father

to your other point there's absolutely no way chuck and blair would cheat on each other, and the show proved it. blair cheats on every bf she has either emotionally or physically with chuck, never on him. in s3 and s6 they're in a committed monogamous relationship (their games are the closest they get to infidelity but the rule is specifically that chuck doesn't kiss the women and blair was the one who actually came up with the games so she obviously doesn't see it as cheating) and blair canonically doesn't love any man more than she loves chuck, so she couldn't cheat on him as there's no-one she could be more attracted to or want to be with. for chuck it's basically the same, when they date in s3 he's nothing but loyal and committed and it's the same with eva and raina. there's never any real concern that he'll cheat on her, he even says that in 3x15. despite them both having dark sides and being morally dubious, that doesn't extend to the way they treat each other by the end of the show. they're both deeply in love with the other and would never risk their marriage because there's no-one worth risking it for

Uhh let me think…for canon ships? Dair, Natessa, Serena/Carter, Rufly, Chuck/Hell, all those ones. I also liked Eric/Jonathan and Jenny/Damien (in an AU where 3x15 didn’t happen) if I’m being honest.

Non-canon I love Blairena 🩷 I also liked Jenny/Blair and Jenny/Agnes even though I know those ships aren’t healthy lmao. I also shipped Blair/Vanessa ngl (ignoring the racist undertones on Blair’s behalf :/)

Okay I just looked at the transcript and it’s even worse than that:

“Several female employees at the Empire are suing me for sexual harassment. Obviously there were incidents with room service at the Palace, but that was my father’s hotel. I was a kid. I would never do that now, not in my hotel, not to you.”

“No. Of course not. They’re scheming harlots trying to get you to pay them.”

I - what the fuck?!?!?! First of all, Chuck confirmed in his own words that he’s sexual harasser (although we already know he sexual assaults since we literally saw it on screen). So he clearly knows he did wrong but thinks it doesn’t count cause what? He was a “kid” (cough sixteen is more than old enough to know about consent cough) and he wasn’t technically their boss? Which like…your father still owned the hotel!!! Surely, they felt pressure and it was a dubious consent situation because of that.

And the not to you line…god it’s so awful. (First of all, I don’t think it’s a stretch that Chuck was initially going to do that to Blair in 420 with the way he was pushing her down…) But also, I’ll just leave this quote here for what I think just needs to be required reading on my blog at this point lol:

And then of course, Blair dismissing the accusers so callously, when we KNOW she’s always been well aware of who Chuck is. (Chuck brags about his conquest, not his victims.”) Thanks, I hate it.

Truly one of the most disgusting GG plot lines (and that’s saying something.) The writers really, really hated women.

i would like a PROPER build up into their relationship. what happened after the hospital? what were they texting about? how did serena address the “hey i left you when you asked me to stay but i am here now” situation? the holidays! what happened in the holidays? how exactly did we get to that point in 3.13 where she was so happy to see him and couldn’t resist and kissed him?

wouldn’t change anything between 3x13-3x15. but then i don’t like how jenny was introduced in their storyline for no reason. see that’s the thing with GG, they never let a couple breathe (except for ds in s1 i guess), they always had a “outside threat”. anyway, from 3x15 ahead, they were seen as the golden couple, the perfect couple. so i would’ve like to see them just being that? going to things together, clubbing, parties in columbia, parties in nyu with dan and vanessa, sleepovers at the empire, awkward breakfasts at th waldorfs, nate sitting down with the van der humphreys for lunch. i would like to see her taking him shopping. going to galas and looking amazing. her visiting his dad in jail with him. some vulnerability from both sides.

she mentioned that she and nate weren’t afraid of “trying new things” in bed too so i would’ve liked to see it 🌚

serena apparently attended all of nate’s lacrosse game to cheer him on so i would’ve LOVED to see that. and also them studying together for finals, being cute overall.

also some late night talks with darkest secrets being shared.

i wanted blair and serena to moveout from the waldorfs and i would’ve loved to see them making nate their personal assistent lol.

I started watching this expecting it to be boring and shite, especially cause the premise is pretty crazy... but within the first 10minutes I was hooked! Nicholas Cage as Castor was so cool and crazy at the beginning and I think both actors did the swap really well - I never forgot that they had changed. It was very action packed and the twists and turns kept me glued to the screen. Incredible stunts too - The boat scene was unreal! Pleasently surprised. Easy 5 stars

This is just me (And maybe some people might feel the same), but I feel that if the haters got their way and CP gets fired/Iris leaves the show, GG would follow suit. He loves WA and he even mentioned that he doesn't want drama just for the sake of it (3x15 and 3x16 comes to mind, even though I loved that Barry sang to Iris in the following episode and all was right with the world again).

I mean...idk. He is quite literally the STAR OF THE SHOW. I know he said it’s more of an ensemble now and he doesn’t carry it on his own, but I do feel like he’d stick around. He might not act as well b/c he wouldn’t like the fact that his epic romance was out of the picture, but I don’t think he’d quit. If nothing else, it’s a steady job. It’s not exactly like he’s gotten good work during the hiatuses. Just having all the time in the world wouldn’t necessarily change that.

Good thing they won’t ever fire Candice though, and so we never have to worry about it. Lol.

Thoughts on the whole Blair and Jack thing?

hi!! I meant to answer this after I finished the s3 chair outfits sorry 😭😭 so my simple answer is that I kinda hate it sksfjsk but I'll explain why so to start with I always found the fact that blair slept with jack during s2 so out of character. I get that she was meant to be upset that chuck left (and drunk??) but by that point blair's only slept with 2 people and I just can't imagine her finding comfort in sleeping with chuck's older uncle as a teenage girl. even in a grief infused state where maybe she thought it would be like sleeping with chuck I just don't think, based on her character, she would do it. ik she kisses random older guys like in 1x05 so even if they said she'd kissed jack and immediately regretted it I could believe that more, but the idea that she then had sex with him doesn't make sense to me. I understand that, at it's core, it was a decision for the drama, to create conflict between chuck and blair and also be able to come back later on in s3. but from a character perspective it's... icky. I do feel like the hotel incident in s3 allowed it to have slightly more depth, as it was clear chuck had never quite gotten over it as much as he said (him watching blair and jack in 3x15 suggests that he still feels there's something lingering between them which is why he's so distraught at the thought of them sleeping together again) and it became clear that it was part of the whole trust issue they both needed to work on. ultimately though I think it was a plot point that was mostly for shock and drama value bc that's the kind of show gg is (think the convenient shard of glass cutting blair's cheek or bart coming back) but there wasn't really any thought for what it meant for blair as a character to me bc it doesn't really fit with her personality or be something she would even entertain the possibility of, let alone do

Even GG was disappointed with the way 3x15 went down. Barry's not going to be on Cisco's couch for long though. He was so heartbroken when he saw that Iris didn't have on the ring. She'll be at his bedside when he wakes up out of the coma at the end of the musical episode. I'm just worried that the minute Barry, Iris and the team feel safe again, things are going to go crazy. Joe will be in danger, Iris is going to get kidnapped. Killer Frost will be on the lose, Julian will be Alchemy again

Yeah, you can feel it in his answer. He seemed really excited about the proposal, I liked how he talked about it, and then he was probably disappointed when he read the script for 3x15. I RELATE.

Yup, after the musical crossover, the show will go back on focusing on Savitar, in preparation for the finale as well. Shit will go DOWN. Ion care about CS or Julian but I’m REALLY scared for Joe :/
