Help a family in Gaza today!

I'm writing another post for my friend @aburakhiaibrahim !

9 months ago, Ibrahim's sister Samah started a campaign for their family. Samah has been living in Canada and hasn't seen her family in 13 years because of the occupation. Originally, Ibrahim and Samah hoped to use the funds raised to evacuate to Canada, but Israel has kept the borders tightly closed for months, so they decided to lower the goal and use the money instead to keep the family fed.

The Aburakhia family is large, and providing enough for everyone in the middle of a genocide is extremely expensive!! Things are especially difficult for Ibrahim's 15 young nieces and nephews, who find the constant bombings and lack of food especially unbearable. Donations have been incredibly slow, and they've just barely reached 27% of their lowered goal after almost a whole year of fundraising!

Ibrahim is a dear friend of mine and we talk every day. Even though he's living through hell, he always checks on me to ask how I'm doing and how my day has been. He's one of the kindest people I've ever met. I'd really love to be able to help him and his family!

I was contacted by Nader to draw pictures for and help spread his brother Abdulsalam Al-Anqar’s fundraiser to save their family. Nader is a 17 year old boy who lives in Gaza with his family: parents Ahmed (54) and mother Iman (49), brothers Abdulsalam (26), Mohammed (14), and Omar (21) and Abdulsalam’s wife and their one year old daughter Iman. Imagine it was your sibling, your friend, your son, who should be in school or with his friends, who instead has to hide from bombs and ask for help online to save his family. His family have suffered through one year of genocide. All of you are their hope to get to safety.

Abdulsalams daughter Iman is only one year old and has lived most her life in a war zone. She is suffering from malnutrition. It’s every fathers worst nightmare to see their child starve and not be able to feed her. Please help him feed his daughter and get her to safety. No child should grow up hearing the sound of bombs. Every child has the right to food and safety. You can help give Iman the childhood she should have, where she can sleep in a safe bed at night with a full stomach.

Their father Ahmed has cancer and needs surgery and medication. It is not possible to get the treatment he needs in Gaza. every day his illness is left untreated, the cancer will continue to spread through his body, so he very urgently needs money for treatment and travel. If you help them get to their goal, you are saving their fathers life. Don’t let this family who have already lost so much lose their father, husband, and grandfather

Nader has showed me pictures of this explosion close to them, thankfully they were able to get away. Every day they stay in Gaza their lives are at risk from israeli bombs. Every day and hour counts. I know there are compassionate and kind people who are willing to help. every euro helps, YOUR donation will bring them one moment closer to safety. With love and hope I’m asking you to give what you can, I believe in the kind people of the world and I beg you to not let them die. If you can’t donate, please share so it may reach people who can.

Never forget that palestinians are not numbers on a list of deaths. Please think of each of them, think of their names and faces and know that you can help them. I think of them every day. I think of the hopes and dreams they should achieve, I think of their education, their future, and the love they show when they work hard every day to get help. You may feel powerless to stop this genocide, but you have the power to save Abdulsalam and his family. I dream that the day will come soon where they may use their days to rest and recover from what they’ve been through, where they can share a meal and laugh and the children will play, instead of having to use their time to beg the world to listen and help them. We can make this possible.

3) Hashem Badr ( @hashem-bader )

was forced to stay behind when his wife and 3 children evacuated to Morocco one year ago. He needs to raise funds for food, shelter, and his evacuation, as well as education & therapy for his young kids. The separation has been especially traumatizing for them and they're terrified for his safety. Like the Aburakhia family, Hashem and his wife Smahan have been fundraising since March, but they have only reached 5% of their goal.

Update, Nov. 12th: Hashem's tent was just destroyed and he needs $3,600 to buy 3 new ones for him and his 26 extended family members! He has no shelter right now!

Update, Nov. 15th: changed Hashem's linked blog as his previous blog was shadowbanned by staff

Update, Nov. 18th: the weather is getting worse and Hashem and his family are now facing a bad winter storm without shelter!

Update, Nov. 29th: first short term goal met, which means Hashem will be able to afford the first tent! His new short term goal is £5,500 so that his family can buy 2 more tents and so his young niece, who's suffering from an improperly healed injury, can get surgery. "Only a Few Hours Left Before We Enter Our First Year of War, Genocide, Starvation, and Displacement A Final Plea from the Heart of Hell: Save Us Before Hope Dies 💔🔥 I am Abdel Salam, and I have nothing left but words written by a trembling hand ✍️. The war has not only destroyed our lives; it has taken everything from us. Our home, which was once our refuge, is now a pile of rubble 🏚️.

My car, my only source of livelihood, was destroyed in a sudden strike 🚗, and the work that sustained us is now a distant memory 💼. Today, I live in an endless nightmare. Under a sun that burns everything in its path 🌞🔥, my family and I sit in a worn-out tent, a tent that shields us neither from the summer heat nor the winter cold ❄️. Insects 🦟 invade the place, diseases consume our bodies 🩺, and my younger siblings cry from hunger and thirst 🍞💧. We have no clean water or a crumb of bread to ease our hunger. As he suffers from severe pain, I cannot provide the treatment he needs due to our dire situation.

My Siblings Are in Constant Suffering ⚰️ My brother Omar was unable to continue his studies due to the situation. My brother Nader could not take his high school exams, and my younger brother Mohammad suffers from brittle bones and needs treatment we cannot afford. Every day we live brings us one step closer to the end. Death surrounds us from every side: if not from hunger 🍽️, then from illness 🦠. Hashem (@hashembadr) is worried that his niece Suhaam will lose her arm. Because it takes a lot of money to buy food and shelter to keep 26 people alive in a genocide, they never have enough money to pay for Suhaam's operation! So the surgery keeps being delayed and Suhaam's injury keeps getting worse. Now this little girls needs to have a surgery before she loses her arm forever!

Suhaam was injured in a bombing, and because the medical personnel in Gaza is so overwhelmed, the bone in her arm has been welded wrong! However, with the shortage of medical resources and facilities, the cost to fix her arm is very costly. With the heavy cost of the surgery and other basic necessities, Suhaam has been in pain from the injury in her arm and the failed surgery for an entire year now! Her health and the condition of her arm has deteriorated since, so she needs to have the operation as soon as possible!

Moreover, since their tents were completely destroyed in a bombing previously, Hashem had been focused on trying to buy a new tent so that the 26 people in his family, including Suhaam, have somewhere to rest and some shelter against the cold and the rain. But while Suhaam now have a place to sleep, rest alone cannot heal her arm. With each passing day without the operation she needs, the condition of her arm worsens.

Writing this post on behalf of Noor @noorayman3 at the request of her sister, Malak. Noor was critically injured by the IOF last month had to have emergency surgery to save her life.
