Lucas: (also gewking approvingly) Seeeriously!! What have they been feeding you in Lenora??

Will: Guys--

Dustin: (jumps around him excitedly) Look at this!! Look at this!! Dude you are going to be such a chick magnet!!

Lucas: (squeezes Will's arm) You actually have BICEPS!

Will: (very embarrassed) Alright, thanks guys, but can we please change the subject?

Mike: (face in his hand, trying very hard to conceal the redness) yes can we PLEASE change the subject

Sonally ‘Family’

It had barely been a few months after the Gaia Crisis. People were still trying to rebuild to an extent, after all of the disasters and other things that had happened. And, yet, people stayed close, trying more to become connected than ever. After an idea that Sally had, everyone they had met and helped during the Gaia Crisis were on the outskirts of Mobotropolis for a feast and reunion, and, I mean everyone: Everyone they had met during the journey, or had already known, was there(except those who they weren't exactly friendly with them): Gewk's people from Mazuri, The Holoskans, the Shinjin Warriors, etc. all of them were there!(Well, Blaze and Marine, since they were in a whole other dimension, and, there wasn't always an easy way to get to Planet Zol.)

And, of course, that meant they had already run out of the various types of foods they had made to accommodate their guests, so, Sonic was now in Uncle Chuck's old chili dog wagon, parked nearby, grilling dogs and making chili. He had been trained in the art of the chili dog for years now, and, of course, he liked helping people, so, besides a half-hearted 'Aww, c'mon, Uncle Chuck', he had pretty much agreed. So, there he was, making Chili, grilling dogs...And, of course, 'taste testing' the chili quite a bit.

Sally, who had been standing infront of the window, and watching for a few minutes now, couldn't help but chuckle. "If you keep 'tasting' any more of that chili, you're probably going to have indigestion before the night's even over with."

Sonic snorted, chuckling lightly, as he professionally stirred the chili sauce with the ladle. "Yeah, well, my digestive system's stronger than you might think, Sal. Sides, I know what you're here for." He couldn't help but grin all smug and playful like. "You want one of our special triple alarm dogs before everyone else, doncha?"

The princess' face grew flush, and, almost right after, she huffed, and crossed her arms, her lips pursed together in embarrassment, like an annoyed, embarrassed pout. "W-what? Pffftttt, no! ...Maybe." She leaned her head to the side slightly, slightly biting her lower lip. "They are pretty good...I mean, if wouldn't be too much trouble, it wouldn't hurt for me to have the first one, right?"

"Pfffftttttt~" He couldn't help but snicker. "Sally Acorn, you are incorrigible," he told, in practically a teasing, playful echo of what she sometimes used to tell him in the past.

She had only a partially amused reaction on her face to this. "Hardy har. Sooooo, I don't suppose you need any help in there, do you?"

"Sal. Sal, please, we alllllllll know you can't cook."

She grumbled slightly, rolling her eyes. "I mean, I could at least watch to make sure nothing burns, and get out more cooking material when we need it."

He just raised both of his hands up in mock defeat, sighing. "Alright, go ahead and come on in."

She nodded, getting in from a backdoor. She decided to go ahead and check the fridge, and- "...Huh. Do you always keep expensive, unopened chocolate bars in your fridge? ...Sonic?"

The hedgehog was silent for a few seconds, then sighed. "It- It was for Chip. I planned on giving it to him before he had to go, but- Well, a lot of things happened, and, it was too late." He was starting to look a bit down. "And, now? We might never see him again..."

"...Oh." A realization crossed Sally's face, and, she looked like she might have regretted asking, considering it seemed to have brought down his mood. "Oh, Sonic, I'm so sorry. ...But-" She placed a hand on his shoulder.

He looked right back at her, still down.

"Chip's not gone. Not really, anyway. I mean- Just look out there."

Sonic obliged, looking out the window. There they were: Lots of smiling faces, people laughing, joking, and connecting with each other. Cream and Pearl were looking over drawings that Cream had made in the past, with the former trying to slowly getting the latter to be not as affected by her fear of chao. Rotor was showing a bunch of people some invention he had come up with recently, that was meant to create and store kinetic energy in it for future. And, Twan? Well, he was humbly bragging to people who barely knew about his past exploits, but, Bunnie was there to make sure he didn't go overboard, and lovingly keep him from looking too much like a fool infront of others.

Sally smiled. "We probably know more people now than we ever did before. Fast friends we can always rely and depend on whenever we're need, and who can also rely on us. If it wasn't for the Gaia Crisis, we might not ever have gotten to meet all of them. Chip's here with us in the atmosphere of our new family, and, also inside the planet itself, watching over all of us. Chip's not gone, Sonic. And, he never will be, for as long as we live."

"..." Sonic slowly started to smile, his eyes half-lidded, as he just sort of watched in satisfaction. "Huh. Yeah, I guess you're right. Chip will always be with us in our hearts, and our memories. Thanks for reminding of that, Sal." He chuckled warmly. "You're always there to keep me up, you know?"

"Mmmmmmm, I know~ And, you're always there when I need a speedy partner, and a shoulder to cry on. Now, why don't we start focusing again?"

"Hmmmmmm? Oh! Oh, right!"

For the next couple of hours, they kept on at it with the chili dogs, until almost everyone had left.

Sally hummed. "Well, I might as well put whats left away." She got the leftovers together opened the fridge, and- "...Sonic? The- The chocolate Bar's missing."

"What?" He quickly zoomed over to check. "How-?" ...Suddenly, he turned his head.

Out there, on one of the wooden benches, was a spiritual form that looked like Chip, happily munching away on the Candy bar.

Sally looked over as well, and blinked. "Wow, he was even closer than we thought, huh?"

Sonic was tearing up slightly...But, snickered, and nodded. "Y-yeah. Got to say, Sal, this is best family reunion I've ever had."

Sally just kind of nodded, smiling. "Yeah, same for me too...~"
