A Triumph of Creativity Over Evil, 2019 Acrylic on Paper Inspired by the @tba_artist_collective trip to Kurt Schwitters’ Merz Barn, and it’s function as a memorial to artists persecuted by the Nazis, the title is taken from a quote currently part of the exhibition in the Barn. The image shows the two organisers of the Littoral Arts Trust, who run the Merz Barn, on a version of ‘Get Your Own Back’, in which Hitler is about to by gunged in a pool of artworks he once deemed ‘degenerate’.
