Wattpad Adventures - Writer's First Steps - Part 3 Idea? Write It Down (on Wattpad) 

3. Always have something, anything, handy to jot down an idea!

Learn how to use your phone's note function. Keep a pen and pad with you. Whatever works for you, make sure you always have a way to write down that idea. A lot of my best story ideas come as I'm struggling to fall asleep. One came from a dream. Usually, my first morning 'thing' is to start my PC so I can write down what I was working on while falling asleep last night. Use what device or physical thing works for you. If you haven't found something that does, try different things. Keep your ideas where you can find them. Don't delete ideas or stories. That scene that doesn't work in this story might work in a new story. When I'm writing, I will create another file and call it [story name] Deleted Scenes, in case I decide to put it back in or use it in another story. You never know.
