It has happened to me before. That was way worse. I am very sensitive to that matter, it is not sonething you should joke about. It is a television show which is another reason as to why i don’t want it to be called sexual assault. If it was in real life, then maybe it could be considered mild assault, but in a tv show? No. Honestly, are you coming to me with accusations that i try to normalize it?? I am not! I am trying to stop people from over reacting

It’s happened to me too, and it could’ve gotten a lot worse but thankfully the guy was arrested and I got away from him. And I’m absolutely not joking about it. I’d never joke about it even if I wasn't a victim because I know how things like that can ruin people’s lives. Which is why this kiss being normalised by others makes me mad. The same thing happened in another TV show I like (although that was blatant sexual assault rather than his snowbarry kiss where the lines are a little more blurred). This particular scene didn’t make me uncomfortable because it brought back memories, but it makes me uncomfortable because ti’s defended and it’s played off as being lighthearted.

 Saying it’s a TV show doesn’t mean it’s not sexual assault - by that logic, Zoom didn’t murder Henry, Eobard didn’t murder Nora, Frankie wasn’t abused by her foster dad because it’s in a TV show. It does count as sexual assault, but obviously, sexual assault that occurs in TV or any kind of fiction is not as serious or disgusting as the actual instances that take place in real life and happen to people. In real life, maybe Caitlin wouldn’t file for a sexual assault claim, but if she did and showed evidence that it was forced and he wasn’t Barry she;d have a very strong case to get Hannibal charged for sexual assault.

And omg, no I’m not saying you, personally, are normalising it! Sorry, it didn’t really translate as well through text ;^^ But so many people do normalise those kisses and it’s not right. I’ve seen other people defend those kisses and get mad at anyone who suggests that it might not be okay.  I’m not saying people should stop shipping Snowbarry, but these kissed being normalised or excused really sets me on edge because it can make people feel like their sexual assault was legitimised. Some people might not be over reacting. But we don’t know what they went through Maybe this kiss stirred up awful feelings in them. So while it might seem to everyone else like it’s an over reaction? It could be very important to them. And I don’t think it’s right to brush it off as  an ‘overreaction’ because it’s fine with you.
