Yesterday I had a revelation. I'm absolutely hysterical and everyone should laugh at my jokes always, also my life is a joke and I take nothing seriously ever. For the past 2 weeks I've been kicking my own ass over how this attitude will simply never work in a professional environment. But yesterday I had an idea; what if my professional environment IS a joke?? I feel like my soul reason on this planet is to make people smile and giggle, to remind everyone not to take things too seriously in this cruel world. When I dropped the musical theater major my freshman year of college I never really looked back at the stage....but now I'm feeling like that's the only place to go.

...also I have a one way ticket to Vegas right now - I take this as a blessing from the higher powers whoever they may be to STAY in Vegas and get famous. holler.

I woke up this morning hyperventilating and covered in hives because I had a VERY realistic dream that I was preposed to. I'm really glad this wasn't a foreshadow of the entire day, which was fabulous and precisely what I need before the start of a busy semester. Homemade Belgium waffles with alll the fixin's, cuddles & watching the Inauguration with Liz, and watching the Bruins game in between a hike in the bogs. Perfect.

Side note: Am I REALLY fucking meeting you in DC in two weeks?!? Not only meeting you, but also sharing a hotel and being your date to a conference....am I fucking with my own mind? My absolute confusion is masked by absolute excitement to be back in DC and see you for the first time in 2 months. I'm a fucking fool.

One year ago tonight was my great Nana's last one on earth. A lot has changed since then, and I think she would be very proud. The family has grown closer than it ever has been; I think we've all realized there isn't any time for bullshit and we all need to cherish whatever time we have together.
