DAY 8: The Greasy Strangler (2016) PLOT: Big Ronnie and his son Big Brayden run a Disco Walking Tour in LA. Both of them end up falling in love with a woman who shows up on the tour and a father-son rivalry for her attention ensues. Meanwhile, a maniac coated in grease stalks the streets at night and strangles anyone who gets in his way. REVIEW: It's like the putrid offspring of Tim & Eric, The Eric Andre Show, The Toxic Avenger, Pink Flamingos, and a Wes Anderson movie. It's absolutely nuts, but almost on a genius level. I don't even think I can go into specifics because a lot of the funny stuff is entirely dependent on the actors' delivery, timing, and physical expressions. I was cracking up for almost the entire film (although it does start to lose steam at the halfway point) and I cannot for the life of me explain why I found this so funny. It's infuriating. I'm terrified to recommend this to anyone because it's for such a specific and minuscule target audience. If you're somebody who can scroll through trash memes for hours, I would recommend this for you, or if you're a fan of any of the shows/movies I compared it to at the start of the review (especially Tim & Eric or The Eric Andre Show).
