Sometimes my friends will talk about shows they watch like ‘Owl House’ or ‘The Office’ and they’ll ask me if I’ve watched them and I’ll have to say no bc I don’t actually watch shows like that and then they’ll be like “oh you don’t watch a lot of tv do you?” And I’ll be like “yea actually you’re right”
No, actually, they’re not right bc after every conversation like this I’ve had I remember almost immediately after they’re gone that I do watch tv all the time (or at least I did, not so much after I moved tho) but I’m (re)watching shows like ‘Lalaloopsy’, ‘Voltron: Legendary Defender’, ‘Lolirock’, ‘Glitter Force’ (both of them), and ‘Hoodwinked’ (it’s a movie abt red riding hood and her grandmother and I love it so much and nobody ever knows what it is for some reason)
But, like, those are what I watch w whenever I actually feel like sitting down and watching shows

ok guys now... okay... hear me out.................. I THINK I might have a potential WIP idea for a stellan skarsgard-inspired character............. I used to have an oc couple that I did nothing with and existed for pure self indulgence/creature design that were a conman priest and a nun-who-may-or-may-not-be-a-demon-in-disguise-sent-to-teach-him-a-lesson investigate a strange haunting in their convent.....
also stellan played a priest in an Exorcist movie from 2005 so like...🤭

(That last one was not his best idea, tbh.)
Through chance, circumstance, or maybe the weaving hand of Fate, Bettina Vanderpoel and James Hubert John Fergus Saltyre meet, speak, and quickly discover their mutual distaste for Sir Nigel Anstruthers...
Anyway I call this one Jem and Bett Ruin Nigel's Life (Ten Years Ahead of Schedule)
#the shuttle#jessica's random thoughts#it's in my head as kind of this reluctant-allies dynamic#Betty thinks he's is a snob#he thinks she's a spoiled brat#but they both think Nigel needs to be taken down a peg or two#and so they team up to get in touch with her father without Nigel reading Betty's letters#and maybe Betty snoops around to find records of where the money Nigel is getting from the Vanderpoels is ACTUALLY going#or something#anyway the point is that Nigel gets taken down by a couple of kids#BUT they never actually get along with each other#and then rosy goes back to the vanderpoels in new york so there's no reason for Betty to be in england#so they don't see each other again#and then years later Nigel dies of being a jerk or something#and Betty goes with Rosy and Ughtred back to Stornham to help fix it up and make things better#and meets saltyre (now mount dunstan) and they still have the same falling-in-love-but-not-admitting-it thing as in the book#but there's also the comedic backstory of being reluctant allies against her evil brother in law#you've heard of childhood friends to lovers now get ready for childhood enemies to lovers#and when they meet on the boat during the accident Betty thinks he's vaguely familiar#and then when she sees him in the park she realizes OH HEY IT'S JEM!#and he's like *awkward pause* '....hi?'#and then everyone in the neighborhood is like ''Oh that's mount Dunstan. he's a bad lot.''#and Betty is like ''lol no?? like yeah he's grumpy a lot but we worked against the forces of evil together as children#so I can guarantee that he's very much not a jerk like the rest of his family was.''#and everyone's like ''okaaaay then?''#idk I just think it would be funny

Recent misc pictures
#image 1 - sky of course.. beautiful clouds time. Image 2 - steak and scrambled eggs with a mushroom spinach sautee sort of thing#and an apple fritter (all cooked at home of course except for the apple fritter... still wishing I could ever get food out or have it made#for me so I don't have to do the effort of making it all myself.. it just tastes better sometimes when you're in a relaxed state eating#it rather than a 'just stood in the kitchen for 1hr' state lol). Or even later if something happens as things tend to do (computer explodes. etc)#Both are HOT months for oregon so I guess that's what started me off thinking and dwelling on the passage of time and the weather.. grrr#I wish I could be done with it tomorrow or something and then just relax and play sims all winter knowing my work is done lol#But I feel like the impending summer (as well as many other impending societally threatening things) give me too much urgency to be like#WAUGh i need to get this done NOWWW.. But I still wish I could relax and enjoy the winter a litttle. eugh... ANYWAY. I did finish the#discord for the game but I still don't know if I'll use that. I need to work more on the game itself and the itch.io page. But then also#I should probably talk about it or try to cultivate a small base of people (like a discord) who actually care about it and could become#future playtesters so I have that all ready well before the game actually is done so I needn't scramble at the last minute.. If I were#smart. and had social skills. and had energy (< has none of these things). So inevitably who knows if shall be able to muster any such feat#At least I'm getting like.. some words done.. some days. I am making progress. shout out to one of the dice sellers at the con who was chatting with me about the metal dice I was looking at, paused for a second and gave me a strange look before saying 'do you like vampires by chance?'
to which i responded with 'it depends' and he was like 'I'll be right back I think I have a dice set for you'
and he came running back with this heavy dark metal set that had blood droplets along the spikes .... and was exactly the aesthetic i was looking for.
he said they didn't have that set out on display because they had so few of it and they were only showing them to people with a certain vibe LMAO which idk if that was a read or a compliment but I instantly bought them
#[static]#and when the bard walked away i was able to drop the reason why they worked for my character so well#and he was so excited that he showed them to me! he was like 'i knew there was some other layer to what you were describing'#also he was not the only person that weekend who took a single look at me and handed me something vampire related which is WILD#im a werewolf apologist but super funny that so many people pegged me for someone who likes vampires#an artist for an indie game passed by me when we were both getting lunch ... did a double take and circled back around#and were like 'i like your [trans] earring and your style and i think you should try this game' and handed me their card#and they were very right and i went to that booth several times over the weekend#also having to be so vague since I havent done my character reveal yet and my husband (who is a player) might see the spoilers lol
