Part 3, chapter 3- running with a bullet in my leg
Series masterlist
Tumblr media
“Little change of plans, they did it. They sent Kiara to the wilderness camp.”
“Oh, no.”
“So, uh, I’m gonna need about eight hours for liberation.”
“Eight hours? I don’t have eight hours! We’ve got a jet here, we’re all waiting!”
“I know, dog. I know the clock is ticking. Look, my sister was sent to the camp for like a while, she knows it better than anyone. I’m gonna need to talk to her. If you have to go, we’ll meet you there.”
You got put into the wilderness camp when you were 12. JJ was 10. You had gotten into yet another fight, and the cops had busted you with a pre-roll or two in your bag. You were 12, smoking. They forced you to go, basically kidnapping you as you screamed and shouted against the workers hold.
You were there for almost a year, until your dad finally decided he couldn’t live on his own and take care of JJ by himself. Like an actual father should. But you have learned over the years Luke maybank was no actual father.
“No, we can’t… we can’t. No, JJ, listen, we can’t wait for you.”
“I know! I’m working on it, dude. Luckily I’m a problem solver, just stay in the Matrix, okay? I repeat-“ JJ paused, hearing the tire explode out. He looked out the window.
“Jj?”
“Damn-“ he shouted, the line suddenly ending.
“Son of a bitch.”
“Yo, what’s going on?” Pope asked John B.
“I’m gonna kill him.”
♡₊˚ 🦢・₊✧🩶.
“God!” JJ stepped out the car, going to the back and grabbing a spare tire and some tools. He grunted, and suddenly heard a car engine behind him.
He turned around, heart racing as he realized who it was. He swallowed the lump in his throat, seeing two men get out.
“Okay, fine.” He turned around, going over to them. The other man pulled out a gun, pointing it to JJ.
“Really?” He realized, looking at the gun and back to the tire. He had shot out the tire.
“After everything you just put me through, you shot my sister, and now you shoot out my… my friends tire! That’s not even my van!”
“You lost the load, JJ. Now instead of me getting paid, I owe them. Which I guess means you owe me, right?”
“I thought my sister getting shot in the leg was perfectly enough tor you.”
“Get in the car!”
JJ paused, thinking for a moment. “As much as I would like to, I kinda got a date, so…”
“You heard him, get in the car.” The other man spoke.
“Okay. If that’s how it’s gonna be. Look, I know you’ve heard the stories. About me, my friends. A little something called the royal merchant. A pile of gold. Is that ringing any bells?”
“I heard some bullshit.”
“Well, that bullshits real.”
“Yeah?”
“And yeah, we found it.”
“Yeah, I saw. That why you got a bunch of dudes throwing your furniture in a dumpster out back your house? Thats why your sisters homeless?You’re living high off the hog, bro-“
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, you’re talking about the house that’s being foreclosed? The cover? The one to throw off the scent? Rule number one, don’t do flashy shit like pay off a mortgage when you’re cashing in.”
“Stop. Let me guess. You, uh… got the gold. It’s buried somewhere in a barn, right? And if I just let you go right now, you’ll run right there, you’ll get it, we’ll split it, right?”
“Not exactly. Actually, it’s a little sweeter than that.” JJ looked over to the other man. “May I?” He asked, going over to Mike now.
“Look, let’s just forget about the Merchant gold. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. We’re going after the main course right now. All right? We’re going after the mother lode.”
—————
“Oh, God.” Sarah mumbled when she heard a car pull up, noticing it as Toppers.
You sat down with Pope and Cleo, feeling like it was better to maybe get out the plane for a little. You’ve been sitting for hours, but it felt better when you sat outside.
“Oh God.”
Topper got out the car, walking towards Sarah.
“Hey, Sarah. What are you doing? You just seeing John B off or what?” He asked, glancing at John B who stood behind her.
Sarah paused, looking at him.
“I’m sorry I, uh… I didn’t call. I meant to call you last night.”
“Oh you meant to call me last night? Okay.” He scoffed. “No, it’s all good. I was actually asking around myself and heard your dad’s plane was here. And I was like, oh, that’s.. that’s interesting.”
Sarah looked down.
“So, are you leaving with him?”
Sarah looked back up at Topper now.
“Are you leaving with him? Yes or no, Sarah.” He spat.
She nodded slowly, he scoffed again and his face fell into a crooked smile.
“You’re just… you’re just a f… a damn liar, Sarah Cameron. You’ve always been a liar. After everything we’ve been through? This… this is what you’re gonna do to me?” He laughed. “I’m done. Okay? You literally just promise John B would go away, you’d stay here with me. I can’t keep doin this..” he rambled on.
“Hey, Top. You got a little something right here, man.” You guffawed at the man, motioning to his black eye.
“Why don’t you shut up? How about that?” He looked at you, going over to John B now. “And oh, buddy, john B. You better be glad I didn’t swing back at you at the wreck cause I think you know what would’ve happened.”
“And your lucky I didn’t shoot your ugly ass on sight!” You shouted from afar, Pope hiding his face while he laughed.
“No one was talking to you, Maybank.”
“I’m not taking the bait, Top.” John B shook his head, looking at Topper. “You’re right. You would’ve kicked my ass.”
“I, um, heard they’re remodeling the Chateau. That’s tough man, how’d that happen?”
John B stared at him in disbelief.
“Oh shit.” You mumbled.
“What did you just say?” John B asked him, Topper backing up. “No, topper what did you just say?” Sarah held John B back.
“Hey, you guys have a nice life, all right?”
“That’s what you call a kook?” Cleo asked.
“Oh yeah.”
“Big time.” You nodded.
Everyone watched as topper drove away.
————
“Okay, so the office should be straight ahead. There’s a little wooden dude with a welcome sign at the door. And then, I think the lady there loved cats. Make up some bullshit story, like her cat passed away. Then, I would just wait and see where they go if they fall for it. That’s where Kiara would be.” You explained, sighing.
“Okay, thank- thank you. I’ll call you back when I’m on my way.” He hung up the phone, you sighing and putting it down.
It was getting late, hours passed and JJ was nowhere to be found.
“Has he called?” Sarah asked, they were running out of time.
You shook your head.
“Nothing.”
“We have to to go. We don’t have eight hours. And topper might’ve already called the police.”
“Okay, okay, I’ll try again.” John B said, you nodding.
“Wait. That might be JJ right there.” Cleo spoke, you guys suddenly hearing a motorcycle pull up.
“That is not JJ.” You recognized that helmet as soon as he pulled up.
“Rafe?” You asked him, furrowing your eyebrows as the tires screeched. Ward groaned behind him.
“Hey. It’s okay. You’re okay, dad. C’mon.” He mumbled to his dad, helping him off the bike, he had fallen off with a loud groan.
“It’s okay. You’re okay.” Rafe went to his side.
“Come on, help! Help!”
You were faster than the others to help him, it had been in your blood at this point. Muscle memory.
Ever since you were young, you couldn’t stand seeing people be hurt. It hurt you, you hated it. For as long as your dad could remember, you were always helping someone or something. Whether it was a hurt animal or a dying man like the one before you right now.
If it wasn’t someone you loathed or had beat in a fight before, you cared for them, tending to wounds. And as much as you didn’t like Ward, Rafe did.
He called it your mother’s trait, although you never really knew her, he saw her in you. Because luke knew that you were nothing like him.
And if you didn’t drop out, you would have loved to become a nurse or something. Something to help someone.
Despite the shooting pain in your leg from the bullet nudged in it, you pulled the helmet off of Ward and helping him up with Rafe.
“Fuck.” You muttered, helping him onto the plane.
“We gotta get him off the island right now.”
You let Rafe take over as he pulled him into the plane, through the doors and inside.
Sarah exhaled as she paced. “Shit, this cannot be happening.”
You sighed, hesitating before following Rafe and Ward inside the plane, helping sit him down onto the seats that already had your blood on it.
It was then that he took a glance at your bloody leg, wrapped in an also bloodied shirt. His focus was back on his dad when he let out a low groan.
“It’s alright dad.” He mumbled, more so to himself that anyone else. He took a glance down at his shaking hands, the blood of his father stained on them.
He looked back at you now, hands slowly finding their way to your face.
They trembled against your skin, you put your hand over his.
“Watch after him for me. Please.” He told you quietly. You nodded, and he pulled you into an embrace.
“He’s safe with me.” You nodded against his shoulder.
“Are you okay?” He asked you, looking down at your leg again.
“Got shot by some dude I owed money to. No biggie.” You shrugged it off nonchalantly, he laughed quietly and you both got off each other, just staring at each other again.
He leaned in, and your heart picked up as his lips ghosted over yours. He spoke against your lips.
“When you’re back, promise me we’ll talk?” He mumbled quietly.
“Promise.” You held out your pinky, like you would when you were together. He smiled and interlocked your pinky with his, before putting his lips on yours. When he pulled apart, he turned to his dad again.
“I gotta go. But you’re gonna be fine. You’re gonna be fine with them.” He told him again.
“He’s gonna be alright.” You told him as he began to step down the steps of the plane again.
The corners of Rafe’s mouth twisted up, nodding he walked over down to the pogues.
“We’re not done.” Pope said, putting his hand on Rafe’s shoulder. Rafe ignored it, and walked over to Sarah.
“Please take care of him.” He said, Sarah walking up the stairs to the jet. You were already tending to his wounds, wincing while you did so. They were bad.
John B turned around, going up to Rafe and putting his phone down.
“You do anything to him, anything, I swear to God I’ll find you.” Rafe spoke menacingly, quietly. It was a warning. “If anything happens to her…” he let the words linger in the air, as he heard sirens get closer.
“Wait, where’s JJ?” You asked John B, looking up from Ward, who seemed to be doing better somewhat now.
“We have to leave without them…” John B said, you furrowing your eyebrows.
“Are you serious-“ you began.
“He’ll find a way. He always does.” Pope told you.
Ward suddenly stood up, you just watching as he went over to the steps again.
“Wait, Rafe! Rafe!” Ward said, stepping out.
“Dad, hey! Get back on the plane!” Ward shouted. “They’re coming right now!”
“I gotta talk to you. Come here real quick.” He began to step down.
“Dad, you gotta- you gotta go!”
“Rafe, now!”
Rafe walked over to his dad, who held his thigh.
“Thank you.” Ward spoke, putting his hands on Rafe’s shoulder, looking into his eyes.
“Yeah, thank you.”
“Don’t thank me.” He mumbled as Ward pulled him into a hug
“Yep, yep, you’re a good boy.”
“I’m not.”
“Yes, you are. Look.” He grabbed his son’s face.
“Doesn’t matter what happens in the middle, it’s how you come out in the end. Look at me! Look at me!”
Rafe looked up at him finally.
“I know what you did, okay? I don’t care, cause you came back for me, right? You’re in control now. You’re the man. All of it is yours, everything here. It’s yours, son. You’re the man now. You proved yourself, okay? You’re the man. And I take back what I said about her.” He laughed quietly.
Rafe nodded slowly, tears in his eyes.
Ward pulled him into another hug.
“I love you, buddy.” Those words he waited all his life for.
“Oh god. All right. Come on. I got it.” He turned around, going back into the plane.
“You good?”
“Goodbye, son.” He said, giving him one last look as the door shut.
The plane began to move and the sirens got closer. Rafe stood, accepting defeat as the cops got out the car.
Rafe turned to Shoupe, hands running down his face.
“Well, shit Rafe. Looks like you got a story to tell.”
Ward sat back down across from you, you looking back at him.
“That looks bad.” You nodded to his thigh that he held, still bleeding.
“It is.”
“Uh… fuck.” You mumbled, rummaging through your bag. You pulled out a bandana, one that you had stolen a while ago as a kid.
“Can you… put your leg up?”
He did so, you kneeled down in front of him.
“This is gonna hurt like hell, so… you can do what I did and bite on a stick or something.”
You grabbed a bottle of alcohol, pouring it over the wound and putting the towel back over it.
He groaned, wincing and breathing heavily.
“Thank you.” He told you, you ignoring and it continuing to wrap it with the bandana. “Thank you.” He repeated, you nodding and standing up, going over to sit by yourself, propping your legs up and sighing.
You had fallen asleep against the window, and stirring when your new phone rung out with a notification.
“We made it out.” It read, it was JJ.

A/n: That sounds really interesting! I did twist the story line a little hope you enjoy it!

Warnings: cursing, mentions of fight and blood
Pairing: Mike wheeler x reader

Tumblr media
Mike pov:
I was heading back home after school when Troy and his gang came up to me as I got on my cycle
“What’s up loser. You got any money on you? I’m trying to buy some chocolate” Troy asked me in his pig like voice
I did have money but that was meant for me to go get milk for home and I wasn’t going to give it up so easily
“No Troy, I don’t so now you can go bother someone else and let me go” I told him in full confidence
“Oh so the loser’s talking back to me now huh? Also what’s that in you pocket, looks like a 5 dollar bill to me” Troy said as he held me by my collar
I was ready to face the punches Troy was about to throw at me but I heard another voice
“Oi Troy what do you think you are doing?” It was y/n.
Troy let go of me and walked over to y/n with his entire gang
I started to grow nervous. I knew y/n was tough and strong but I didn’t know if y/n would be able to handle the entirety of Troy’s gang.
“Who do you think you are huh? Beating up poor kids for your own enjoyment. Didn’t your parents teach you any manners?” I heard y/n say to Troy
“Don’t talk about my parents you bitch! What are you dimwits looking at? Attack her!” Troy ordered his minions and all of them pounced on y/n
I was too scared to watch so I looked away not wanting to watch y/n get hurt.
I heard loud punches and whimpers from behind me but I didn’t dare look back and was about to leave and get a teacher to sort this out when I saw Troy’s minions run in all different directions.
I looked back and saw y/n alone but her body was littered with bruises and cuts, turns out they all had had grabbed the pins out of her hair and used them to scratch her.
When I meet those bastards again I’ll make sure they will pay for why they did to my love.
“Y/n get on my bike. We’re going to my house and I’ll get you all cleaned up” I told her
Before she could protest I grabbed her and dragged her to my cycle helping her on and sped back to my house completely forgetting about the milk I was supposed to buy.
“Welcome back Mike did you get the milk?” I heard my mother shout from the kitchen and I just stood there frozen. Shoot.
“Mike are you there? Why re you not answering?” Mom called out again and I heard her footsteps making her way to the front door but I couldn’t move an inch.
My mom already did not like y/n since she got into fights and also desperately needed that milk. I was so done for.
Just then Nancy walked in and announced to our mom
“I got the milk mother! Mike was getting bullied and y/n came to save him and ended up taking the whole gang by herself” Nancy told mom in hopes of her liking y/n more seeing her current state
“Oh dear thank you for saving his life! Mike please tend to her cuts and Nancy kindle give her a set of your clothes and thank you for the milk” Mom said and all three of us breathed a sigh of relief
I whispered a thank you to Nancy and she gave me a soft smile and a nod
I took y/n to my room and got the medical kit out and started tending to her cuts and bruises
“Why do you constantly get into fights for me? Getting hurt this badly for some loser kid” I asked her wanting to know the reason
“Mike, look at me. I defend you because I care about you. I enjoy your presence and I will not tolerate someone hurting one of the only genuine people in my life” she told me with a soft smile on her face
We both stared into each others eyes and slowly leaned in closer and closer
Our lips met midway and it was the most magical thing I had ever experienced
“Wow” we both said at the same time after ending the kiss
“I love you. With or without your battle scars”
“I love you. With or without your confidence”
“Hey!”
A/n: hope you guys enjoyed this! Let me know your feedback. Also requests have been put on hold for a week or so since I want to get the current requests finished and then only move on to new ones. Thank you for reading! Kissies ✨

WIP Weekend Snippet
The title says WIP but this bitch is FINISHED
Anyway, here's a little sneak peek at my Modern Steve in 80s Hawkins fic--- now titled "(if someone asked me at the end) i'd tell them put me back in"--- as I prepare to begin posting to ao3
Steve glances over his shoulder only to meet the barrel of a gun. He stiffens and drops Dart, trusting the demonspawn to land on his feet, before shoving Eddie behind him as well. “What do you think you’re doing?!” Steve hisses, glancing at the street to make sure nobody else can see Nancy pointing a gun at him.  “I knew something was up,” Nancy says, her eyes narrowing as she rolls her shoulder to push Mike’s hand off. “You have two seconds to explain the demodog before I blow your head off.” “Okay, first of all, two seconds is not nearly enough time to explain anything,” Steve says, and because humor has never failed him before, he adds, “And, honestly, you’re not my first choice for any kind of blowing.” He hears a snort from behind him and can’t help a slight grin even as Nancy becomes visibly more confused and Mike scrunches his nose in disgust. “What the fuck are you talking about?” Nancy asks, her hands lowering slightly, which Steve would take as a win if the gun wasn’t now pointing at his dick. He can even feel the phantom pain of getting his dick blown off, and it takes every ounce of control to not cover his crotch with his hands. “It’s called humor. Great for diffusing situations,” Steve explains, keeping his eyes on the gun and praying Nancy doesn’t accidentally pull the trigger. “Look, I get it. That’s a scary puppy that just jumped on me, and you’ve dealt with much meaner ones before, but can we please take this inside? I promise you can keep threatening to shoot my dick once we’re off the porch.” That, apparently, is what gets Nancy to realize where she’s pointing. She hesitates for a few seconds before clicking the safety back on and lowering the gun.
I'm in the process of moving, so I'm not sure when exactly I'll be able to post the first chapter, but it'll definitely be in the next few days!
In the meantime, you can either subscribe to my ao3 or keep an eye on my Tumblr for a link when it is posted!

a mix of 43 and 50 if you would be so kind
“You two are ridiculous,” Dustin proclaims, shooting a derisive look in Mike and Will’s direction as the Party hikes through the snow. It is, to put it lightly, absolutely frigid outside, with a solid eight inches of snow on the ground, cold water seeping through Mike’s flimsy shoes with every step he takes.
Still, he can’t be bothered to mind when he has Will Byers draped over him like this, arms around Mike’s neck and legs wrapped around his torso as Mike carries him with moderate difficulty through the snow.
“Shut up, Dustin,” he says, hitching Will higher on his back and nearly losing his balance as he steps over a tree branch. Will squeaks softly in alarm, hiding his face in Mike’s shoulder like that would protect him if Mike toppled to the ground. “We’re adorable.”
“You’re nauseating,” Max corrects irritably, slipping a little in the slush and grabbing El’s arm for support. “Will is perfectly capable of walking on his own.”
“My feet were cold,” Will says evenly, breath warm against Mike’s neck, and Mike’s arms are sort of burning from the strain of holding his five-foot-ten boyfriend whilst also attempting to stay upright, but again, he can’t possibly begin to complain because Will is so warm and he keeps pressing kisses to the sliver of Mike’s neck that peeks out from the top of his jacket. “Do you want me to get frostbite?” Will asks, tightening his hold around Mike’s chest, and Mike can hear the grin in his voice.
“Kind of,” Max mutters, and Lucas snickers from her other side.
Mike shoots her a glare. “Shut up,” he says again, “You’re just pissed because Lucas won’t carry you-”
“I offered!” Lucas yelps, and Max rolls her eyes something fierce, “She said no!”
“I’m not a child,” Max says pointedly, and Will’s hand briefly lifts off of Mike’s chest to flip her off, “I can walk just fine.”
“You know what, Max,” Mike starts, tightening his hold on Will’s legs and once again narrowly avoiding slipping in a patch of ice, “You can just go ahead and freeze, see if I care-”
"Okay,” Will interrupts, arms around Mike's neck as Mike hitches him higher, "That’s enough, Mike. Let’s not kill anyone today."
"I’m not!" Mike defends, craning his neck to scowl up at Will. "I'm just saying- mmph." He's cut off as one of Will's hands reaches up to cover his mouth, icy fingers against his lips, and El grins appreciatively over at the two of them.
Will waits a beat, as Mike continues trudging through the snow, before seeming to decide that Mike’s done bitching and removes his hand. “Okay?” he asks, entirely too amused, and Mike scowls out at the icy road as they approach the Wheeler’s backyard.
“I invite you to my house,” he gripes, watching the Party race forward and immediately head for the basement door, eager to get inside to warm blankets and hot chocolate, “I carry you halfway across town-”
“It was not halfway,” Will protests, laughing, and Mike grunts noncommittally as he reaches the door and loosens his grip on Will’s legs, letting him slide gently to the ground, “It was three blocks max.”
“The point stands!” Mike protests, stomping the snow off his shoes before trailing after their friends into the basement, Will close behind him. “I don’t appreciate being insulted this way from all sides.”
Will hums in fake sympathy, kicking off his shoes and collapsing onto the couch beside Lucas. “I’m sorry,” he says without an ounce of sincerity, and Mike fakes an eye roll as he promptly flops onto the couch on top of him. Will squawks indignantly as Mike lands against his chest, shoving his face into his neck.
“Nauseating,” Max repeats loudly from somewhere on the floor, and there’s a gentle thwack as she tosses a rolled-up comic in their direction and it lands against the wall. “Told you.”
Mike lifts his face from Will’s chest, eyes narrowed. “Did you just throw that at us, Maxine-”
“Don’t fucking call me that, asshole-”
“I can’t believe you would- mmph,” he’s cut off again by Will’s lips pressing against his, gentle and not demanding, but it’s enough of a distraction that he momentarily forgets about the hellspawn that is Max Mayfield and relaxes into Will.
There’s a chorus of groans from the rest of the Party, and Mike lifts one hand away from Will to flip them all off, breaking the kiss and tucking his face away against Will’s side again. “You love us,” he says, voice muffled by Will’s sweater, and he can feel Will’s ribcage shaking with repressed laughter, “You love us and you think we’re adorable.”
“I think,” Max starts, but then El’s pressing a hand over her mouth to shut her up, and Will kisses the top of Mike’s head, and Mike forgets what he was so worked up about in the first place.

The Best Possible Run of Until Dawn as Scientifically Calculated by Me
This is a sequel to my Worst Run(TM) guide which can be found here
Last time, we turned every character into the most awful version of themselves they could possibly be. Now, we’re gonna do the opposite. Not only is it an everybody lives run, but we’re gonna make it so every character finishes the game on as good of terms as possible. Here is what I consider to be a golden run of Until Dawn.
SPOILER WARNING: this guide assumes you have played through the game at least once
Unlike last time where we only interacted with/picked up clues that were mandatory or affected relationships, this time we are going to be collecting every clue in the game as to make the characters GIGA BRAIN and get all of that juicy clue dialogue.
Because I don’t want to painstakingly describe the location of every clue in the game, I’m going to link a video that does it for me. You can find it here
There are time stamps provided in the description so that you can hop around to specific items. Note that totems aren’t necessary for this play-through since they are never acknowledged by the characters. You are still free to do so for that sweet sweet 100% if you’re a completionist like I am. If there are still questions about the clues/totems, feel free to message me in the replies about them and I will do my best to help you.
Dr. Hill segments won’t be listed since they are mostly subjective. However, the absolute must is to make Josh feel guilt and take responsibility for his actions. We’re giving the lad a redemption arc, basically.
One last thing before we begin. Anything marked with a * is just additional information that I thought would be helpful to know.
PROLOGUE
- Let go/do nothing as Beth
CHAPTER ONE
- Close the bag as Sam so that Chris is happy to see her
- Do not shoot the squirrel as Chris as doing so lowers his relationship with Sam and guarantees she cannot escape the psycho later on
* It doesn’t matter what you do as Jessica, just note that explain raises her relationship with Chris and lowers it with Sam, while demand does the inverse
- Do not threaten Mike as Matt to raise their relationship
- Comply with Emily’s request to continue on as Matt to raise their relationship
- Encourage Matt to look through the telescope as Ashley because we wanna be an honest homie
- Snowball fight doesn’t matter, just don’t hit the bird
- Kiss Mike as Jess
CHAPTER 2
- Worry about Josh as Chris to raise their relationship
- Be confident with Ashley as Chris to raise their relationship
- Go down towards the camera (opposite of Ashley on the stairs) to talk with Matt
- Ask Matt how he’s doing as Chris to raise their relationship
- Agree with all of Josh’s statements about Ashley as Chris to raise him and Josh’s relationship
* Talking to Sam does not affect stats as there are no answer choices in the conversation
- When Matt confronts Mike about Emily, de-escalate the situation (challenge and then apologize)
- As Matt, make sure when Jess and Emily start fighting, that you side with Emily first, and then side with Jess at the second prompt
* Siding with Emily first makes her less pissy at you later, and siding with Jess afterwards minimizes losing too much relationship with either
- Take a selfie with the bae as Mike
- Agree with Jess about Emily being a bitch as Mike to raise their relationship
- Be respectful as Mike when him and Jess examine the police tape to raise their relationship
- Pick heroic as Mike when Jess falls in the mineshaft to raise their relationship
- Choose flirtatious as Mike about the bird to raise him and Jess’s relationship
- Select flattering as Sam when Josh mentions Chris and Ashley as being mocking lowers their relationship
- Reassure Josh as Sam to be a good friend :)
- When picking up the baseball bat as Sam, pick serious to raise her relationship with Josh
- High five Josh as Sam so you don’t leave the homie hanging (spam triangle)
* Choosing to prank Josh or not doesn’t effect anything
- Be heroic as Sam about the noise to raise her relationship with Josh
CHAPTER 3
- Take a seance seriously as Ashley as to not upset Josh (more than you’re going to anyway)
- Be apologetic about the prank as Ashley to raise her relationship with Chris
- Respond flirtatiously to Jessica’s prank as Mike to raise their relationship
- Instead of crossing the bridge, walk down towards the camera until you find a tree with E+M surrounded by a heart carved into it
- Confess to Jess about being a sap as Mike when she inquires about the tree to raise their relationship
- Show the mask to Jess as Mike since picking scare lowers their relationship
- Comfort the deer as Mike because we love animals in this house
* PSA: do not approach wild animals IRL even if injured unless you are a professional or are fairly certain you won’t get mauled
- Choose whatever route you want in the chase scene, just make sure you actually pick options as indecision will annoy Jessica
- Help up Jess as Mike instead of unlocking the door to raise their relationship
- The rifle is not a clue, but if you decide to pick it up make sure not to pick scare as that lowers Mike and Jess’s relationship
- By this point, your relationship with Jess should be maxed and she will strip down to her underwear since she’s super downbad
- Show Ashley the letter as Chris since lying is bad
CHAPTER 4
- To save Jessica, make sure to pick all of the risky, unsafe paths as Mike and jump instead of shimmy
* You can not fail more than 4 times with each missed QTE being 1 fail, picking a safe path accumulates 3 fails so be extra careful
* If Jessica’s jaw is still intact when you find her then she is still alive for now
- Choose to save Josh as Chris to raise their relationship
* Ashley’s relationship with Chris is not affected either way oddly enough, but Josh’s relationship with Chris lowers if you choose to save Ashley
CHAPTER 5
- Do not punch doggy
- Feed doggy bone :)
- Pet doggy :)
- Do not touch the waving hand. Seriously. It’s not a clue. You can walk right past it and lose nothing. Do not let the intrusive thoughts win.
- Agree to smash the door for Emily as Matt to raise their relationship
- Make sure to catch Emily when she almost falls off the ledge you’re shimmying on to earn her appreciation
- Agree with Emily about the fire tower as Matt to raise their relationship
- Escape the psycho as Sam, I’ve seen variations on how to successfully do this, but here’s what I’ve found works
1. Run
2. Jump over the bed
3. Run
4. Pull down the cabinet
5. You HAVE to hide once closing the door behind you (be sure to turn your flashlight off when prompted with triangle and succeed in the short don’t move)
CHAPTER 6
- Calm down Emily as Matt to increase their relationship
- Do not attack the deer or Matt will be knocked off a cliff, plus we love animals here
- Keep the flare gun as Emily and do not fire it
*This slightly lowers her relationship with Matt, but allows us to avoid being bitten by the wendigo. Plus the relationship loss is so minor that it doesn’t affect anything.
- Comply with the park ranger over the radio as Emily
- Be supportive of Emily as Matt to raise their relationship
- Show concern towards Emily as Matt to raise their relationship
- During the first prompt, try to save Emily as Matt to raise their relationship
- During the second prompt, jump to safety as Matt so that he avoids death
- Do not insist upon seeing a ghost to Chris as Ashley since doing so lowers their relationship
- When discussing the prank with Chris, choose to be sympathetic as Ashley to raise their relationship
-Be courageous when Ashley expresses hesitation at going to find Sam because we are bad bitches in this household
- In the room with the hitlist, enter the closed door to find a projector and watch the video
- Choose apologetic as Ashley when prompted to raise her relationship with Chris
- Don’t split off from Chris as Ashley since splitting up is dumb
- Do not stab the psycho as Ashley to spare her a black eye, and so that Chris won’t punch Josh in retaliation later
- As Chris, aim the gun at yourself first as to not scare Ashley
- Shoot either yourself, or do nothing to maximize your relationship with Ashley
* Do not shoot Ashley as this will guarantee Chris’s death later
CHAPTER 7
* Be sure to turn around immediately when given control of Sam as to not miss the clue since it’s very sneaky
- Show concern towards Mike and inquire about Jessica as Sam to raise her relationship with both of them
* Emily’s section here doesn’t matter, just continue getting all the clues since there are a lot of them
- Scold Josh as Chris, and then be skeptical to raise their relationship
- Be defensive towards Josh as Chris since being aggressive lowers their relationship
- Do nothing when prompted to disarm Mike or hit Josh as both choices have negative consequences on relationships
CHAPTER 8
- During the chase as Emily, succeed in QTE’s to guarantee Emily’s survival, and make sure to hop of the conveyor belt when prompted. Because we have a useable flare gun, you will be prompted to shoot the wendigo. It’s crucial to hit this shot so Emily avoids being bitten.
- Show concern towards Emily and Matt as Chris when she returns to the lodge to be a good friend
- Survive the chase as Chris, there’s no choices just don’t miss the QTEs
* There will be no choices in the basement since Emily did not get bitten
CHAPTER 9
- Survive the chase as Mike by succeeding in the QTEs and don’t moves. To save the dog, barricade the door with a locker when prompted.
* If you miss to many QTEs Mike will live, but the puppy will die :(
- Reassure Chris as Ashley to raise their relationship
- If you are collecting all the totems, choose follow voice to collect the totem down the path but DO NOT open the trap door as this will kill Ashley
- Otherwise, ignore the voice and continue on
CHAPTER 10
* Since we’re getting all the clues, Josh will be guaranteed to live since we need to pick up Hannah’s journal
- Show concern for Jessica as Matt to be a good friend
- Survive the encounter with Jess as Matt by following these steps
1. Hide (you will be prompted with a don’t move, do not let Jessica fall over)
2. Break through wall (or whatever the opposite of abandon Jessica is I don’t remember)
3. Hide together (don’t move)
- Survive the final battle as Sam by
1. Locking door or running doesn’t matter
2. Succeed the don’t move
3. Save Mike
4. Succeed the don’t move
5. Keep picking hide and succeeding the don’t moves so that all the other have time to leave the house
Eventually Sam will run to the switch automatically once everyone has made it out of the house.
Congratulations! You did it! You’ve gotten the scientifically best run of Until Dawn. Pat yourself on the back you’ve earned it.

guess what-
new idea time
so one day nancy wheeler wakes up and what the actual fuck she’s in the Byers house and Jonathan is there, and there’s christmas lights on the wall and bear traps on the floor and she’s got a revolver in her hand and steve is banging on the door outside, begging her to let him in, hear him out and
holy shit. she’s in 1983.
and nancy isn’t going to waste time, because this a moment for action, whether it’s real or not and she’s not going to panic, so she lets steve in and she tells him to leave, and she can hear the desperation in her voice. Please, save yourself… You have no idea yet…. let me save you…
But Jonathan is calling her attention away because the lights are flickering and Steve looks scared and now is not the time
So he stays, because steve does, always, and she lets him because she knows he’s ultimately the one that protects them that night
The next few weeks, things go exactly like they did in ‘83, except for now and then she’ll ask steve or jonathan or her mother or even mike “what year is it?” or “do you know me?” or “tell me something only you would know.”
and within a month she establishes that, yeah, this is 1983. these people know too much, are too real to be Vecna visions. it’s real.
if she’d gotten her way, she would’ve been sent back before barb died, she would’ve saved her and hid her from this, but it’s too late now, so she does everything else she can to save anyone else.
she doesn’t get drunk at the halloween party the next year. keeps the bullshits to herself and tells steve that night in the bathroom that she wants to break up, but it’s not his fault, really it’s not, and she’s overwhelmed by the monsters and barb and life changing around her. he still cries and this time, he asks her if he’s unloveable, which somehow hurts worse than his pathetic “you don’t love me?” but this time, she’s mature enough to reassure him that he’s perfect. none of this is his fault. he’s not unloveable. she didn’t know that at the time; now she does. and she knows he’ll be better if she tells him.
it still breaks his heart, she knows that, but this time it won’t haunt him for so long.
okay enough seriousness though because honestly what i actually want to happen is for her to bring all her category 5 batshit crazy unhinged-ness with her aight
like, she orchestrates it so she’s there with steve and the kids that night billy comes for lucas and the second he threatens violence and steve starts cracking his knuckles and preparing for a fight she just like. shoots him in the foot and steps over him. like “come on we have work to do.” and everyone is just staring at her and billy is literally writhing in pain on the floor, whining, and she’s like “hey, we’re kind of in a time crunch here, let’s go please”
and later steve is like “hey that was cool. racist son of a bitch deserved it”
and she’s just like “oh. is he racist? i guess i don’t have to feel at all bad about shooting him then.”
and steve is. “wh… why did you shoot him if you missed the fact that he was a horrible person?”
“he was standing in the doorway and i wanted to get through”
like she is taking no shit from anybody, her solution is guns and friendship every single time, she keeps accidentally asking robin to hand her something or come with her and everyone is like?? actually we don’t know a single robin??? and nancy is like. you guys don’t understand. the whole point of me being the weapon badass is to impress robin what am i even supposed to do here

Emma/Chris/Cade pt. 4 (Head Wind AU)
(a very tiny update)
(and here’s the very tiny masterpost)
~~~
“Found it.” Chris came back into the kitchen holding a small box. “What did Marsha say?” “She’s sending help, but it’ll take them 45 minutes to get here,” Emma said anxiously. “Oof. Well, can’t be helped.” He took a few red shotgun cartridges out of the box and lined them up on the table. “She’s calling some off-duty guys.” What was the name Marsha had mentioned? “And someone else...someone...Kennedy?” “Mike Kennedy.” Chris nodded. “Fish cop. U.S. Fish & Wildlife, I mean. Federal law enforcement. He lives over toward Highway 12.” “And a...a fish cop will help?” she asked, mystified. “This one will, if he can get here.” He turned the shotgun over and began inserting cartridges into it. “Mike’s an awesome guy. He used to be—" “Chris.” Emma stared at the shotgun. “Were you holding Jerry at gunpoint with an empty gun?” “Well, Cade was, yeah. But Jerry didn’t know that.” Chris looked slightly sheepish. “I never keep this thing loaded, and I didn’t have time to look for the shells.” “Might’ve been for the best,” Cade said. He touched his right shoulder and rotated it cautiously, with a wince. “Recoil would be a bitch right now.” “Em, if it comes down to it, you might need to shoot this thing,” Chris said soberly. “Did Grandaddy ever show you how?” “N-no,” she said faintly. “It’s not hard. The main thing is, like Cade says, it’s got a kick. You want it tucked against your shoulder, tight.” Chris demonstrated, sighting down the long barrel. “It’ll go boom each time you pull the trigger. Five times, and then you have to reload.” “Do you have more of these?” Cade indicated the remaining seven cartridges lined up on the table. “That’s it, unfortunately. I’m not a hunter; I just keep this in case of bears.” “Well, it’s enough for a few shots on each of them. It should only take one good hit,” Cade said. Emma shivered at his grim tone. “We...we don’t want to kill them, do we? Couldn’t we scare them off? Or...or shoot them in the leg, maybe?” Cade and Chris exchanged a look, and Emma’s heart sank. Clearly they understood something she didn’t. But how was she supposed to know what to do? Her expertise was in introducing young minds to decimals, fractions, and currency. She’d never imagined being trapped in a situation like this. “Em,” Chris said gently, “there are two things you need to know. One is that these are deer slugs, and that means when I pull this trigger, I’m throwing a big chunk of metal at my target. If the target is a person, it’s going to do a lot of damage, to a leg or anything else it hits.” “The other thing is...” He hesitated, swallowed, and spoke flatly. “Those two guys, after they...left me in that room back there, I could hear them talking in the hall. One of them said, ‘Why don’t we just get rid of that guy now?’ And the other one said, ‘Not yet. I want to keep him until we’re done here.’ “So...I’m going to do whatever I have to do, to keep us safe.”
🎃Trick? or Treat?🎃
Summary: Eddie’s friends don’t actually believe you’re really dating him, and they require some proof. Cause no way has the freak scored a girl like you- 3k- a dirty funky little drabble really…
Reader is related to my Eddie Series. Come take a look-
Tumblr media
“There is no way. There’s just no way.” Dustin piped up. Dismissing it with a shake of his curly head.
“Agreed.” Mike pitched in, solidly. “I don’t buy it.”
They’re talking to each other like you aren’t even there.
“It’s gotta be a set up.” Comes Gareth’s opinion. Nodding as he points his fork at Mike. A wedge of yellow fruit speared on the end.
“A bet right?” Says Jeff. Crossing his arms and eyeing you up, like he’s waiting for the punchline.
You were currently sat at the Hellfire table, so dubbed the freaks’ spot by the jocks, in the canteen.
It was Fall. Inside there were paper streamers looped about the walls in twisting orange and black. Cardboard cut-out Jack-o-lanterns and skulls sneer from the walls.
Outside was a mucky amalgamation of Indiana Fall. Bone chilling rain and sticky brown-gold leaves, that had come off the trees days earlier. The huge windows in here misty muggy and smeared condensation with rain knifing down the glass the other side. The sky is dark grey, all bruised, and heaving with chowder thick clouds.
Droopy paper halloween decorations are tacked everywhere in this space that smells like stale pepperoni pizza. Hand made felt tip posters are tacked up on every surface for the ‘Fright Night’ party happening in the gym.
Now you were looking down the table at five very concerned faces. All of whom were waiting for you to spill the truth.
Quite frankly, they’re all looking at you like you’re Judas Iscariot at a disciples reunion.
Your eyes darted around from person to person.
They don’t believe you exist. They can’t believe it.
They cannot buy that you’re dating the curly haired scarecrow that is their metal headed Hellfire Leader. Your Eddie.
Who at this moment had dashed out in the rain to the parking lot with his black hoodie yanked over his wild hair, cause he left his lighter in his van.
And cause you’d left your chapstick in there in the glove compartment. And well, he did offer to retrieve it for you. Such a Prince.
“What part of are you guys having trouble understanding?” You ask as you reach in your bag for your book, and your brown paper bag of home made lunch. Chicken salad sandwich and a bag of chips. Extra large portions. You knew who would be stealing half your lunch.
Your chunky blue sweater slides off one shoulder. Revealing a lilac bra strap and a definite indication of a grape-purple hickie nestled in the crook your neck. The mystery continues.
“It’s gotta be fake. You’re like, dating a jock or something, aren’t you?” Jeff narrows his eyes at you like you’re a suspect.
Your gaze is packed in snow. Something razor cold skimmed off the Arctic Ocean.
“I take offence at that, dweeb.” You lob your eraser at his head.
That move is eerily similar to… someone else.
You hold your hand out, palm up to him, with a thundering frown. He throws your pink eraser back.
“But you’re-“ Mike starts. Then his tongue stunts itself.
You pause. Brows shooting up your head.
“I’m what, Wheeler?” Your tone invites him to think very carefully about his next words.
“You’re a girl.” He splutters.
“Hey. Only on the outside, kid.” You wink and click your tongue at him. Grinning. Widening your eyes. You learnt that from someone else too. The Kubrick stare.
“No- you’re, like. You’re a girl, girl. Like, you’re popular and. Normal? You get good grades. You’re friends with Jonny Lopez’ girlfriend. You’re going to like, a big league college.”
“I wouldn’t say popular. And we’re not entirely like friends. She just sort of bitches at me, and I occasionally give her a ride to school.” You shrug honestly.
“And hey excuse me, I’m not normal.” You point out. “I was reliably told this was the table that celebrates being ‘not normal’ anyhow.” you curl your fingers with air quotes.
They shrink down a little with that point. “Well yeah- actually.” and a chorus of shuffles, awkward coughs, and agreeing grunts comes your way.
“Good. Cause if I wanted to be ordinary I’d go sit at that table over there.” You nudge your head across the way where Jonny and Linda are sitting.
He’s telling some stupid macho story about a keg party to his fellow guffawing gorillas. She was busy chewing gum, not listening and painting her nails slutty cherry red.
“Did he pay you to do this?” Dustin asks. “Like $20 bucks if you come sit over here and prank the nerds.”
You slowly crunch a chip on your tongue and shoot him a spiky look. “Careful, Henderson.”
“Who paid who, to what, to the nerds?” Bursts a new voice into the conversation.
Quite possibly your favourite voice ever.
Eddie thumps himself down on his throne at the end of the table. Nudges his chair right up close to yours.
He’s flicking rain drips off his hoodie, some beaded down his leather arms. Some still clung to his big dark doe lashes and his messy bangs now growing wonkily down into his eyes. You’d seen him loping into the trailer bathroom the other day with a cigarette on the go, and a pair of scissors to just whack at those bangs. Messy as fuck.
A few rolling rain drips are still skating down his forehead. Soggy black sleeves nudge your chapstick into your palm on the table. He shakes off the rain like a wet dog.
Eddie drops a kiss on your head. A soft “Mwah” before he takes his seat. His hair hanging on your nose smelling like your dreamy coconut conditioner, because he’d spent the night at yours last night.
Neither of you got much sleep, naturally. You were sore in places you didn’t know could be sore. That boy was a sexual menace.
“Dude. We were just talking about your not girlfriend here.” Gareth pointed out. Jeff was deciding to take a cowardly out and hide behind a comic book.
Eddie tilts his head at the guy. Winding his cold knuckles through yours. Right there on the table top. Skin chilled from the rain.
“Is that a challenge in that sentence I’m hearing?” He asks with a stormy edge to his expression.
Eddies gaze could be lethal if he willed it to be. Shredding metal he could cut you on. These geeks rarely wanted to be in the ireful wrath of their leader’s disapproval.
“There’s no way you’re dating! It’s a hoax!” Dustin exclaims, loud. Laying his hands on the table in emphasis. Almost rising out his seat.
Eddie flicks those dark eyes to his curly haired companion.
“Alright punk. What about this are you struggling to get through your little head?” He barks out.
“How about, I don’t know, all of it. The fact she’s sat eating here. The fact you’re supposedly dating…” Sinclair lays out.
“Stop putting adverbs and negatives before the word dating.” You scowl at them.
Eddie chuckles, sneers and slings an arm around your shoulders. Looping you right close to him. You’re munching your lunch and smiling as he brings you in closer.
“Is it cause I’m so hot and so so way out of her little arty girl indie state league? I know. Poor baby girl, she can’t help that.” He coos.
You twist your head and his smirk is right there. Would be a shame not to kiss it. You lean in and peck him on the mouth sweetly.
When you pull away the pair of you take great delight in the shock still on their faces.
Eddie nuzzles his nose into your neck to make you squirm. Then he sits there with his chin on your shoulder. Opening his mouth like a little baby bird when he wants you to feed him chips. You do and he bites and sucks on the salty ends of your fingers.
“Seriously Henderson, You couldn’t shell out the amount of money required to fake constantly wrangling this one’s humungous ego.” You pat Eddie’s cheek three times.
“Not the only humungous thing she has to wrangle.” Eddie leers. Does that curling devil tongue at you. Tries to shove his tongue in your ear. You laugh and bat him away.
“No. No. Gross.” Says Mike. Shaking his shaggy head.
“….Plus serious compensation would be required for anyone to sleep in his flea pit of a bedroom.” You tell. Eyes turned down towards your book.
Eddie reached over you with his free hand and pawed at your chip packet for more. Scooped up your sandwich and stole a bite. Extra crispy bacon. Lettuce, Chicken mayo and that spicy mustard he likes- oh he was in love.
“Hey, I tidied it up for you, pencils. I put clean sheets on the bed. Made sure you could see the floor.” He spoke through chewing. Cheeks full. Sucking a glob of mustard off his thumb.
And yet, they’re all sat there looking at you like you’re selling bullshit.
“Alright you little assholes.” You clap and dust your hands off. Some of them actually jump back. Flinching.
Eddies staring at you with literal red bursting heart eyes watching you get irate with his table full of nerds.
You’re sat here all puppy love bundled up with him. Cupid arrow pink kinda gooey love, enshrined with little hearts squished above the i’s. Surrounded by pink ribbons and fucking bluebirds. Mushy love like a damn Carpenter’s song, and you’re so fused together at the hip bones. Like it actually hurts to break apart.
They’re still not buying it.
“What will it take to convince you, that we, are a real thing?” You nudge your thumb at you and Eddie.
They eye you shrewdly. Mike is the first soldier over the top the face the clattering guns.
“What’s his favourite band?” He fires out. Twisting towards you. All elbows and angles and those Wheeler nuclear-family enviable cheekbones.
“Bandsss plural.” You correct. “Metallica, Black Sabbath, Megadeath, Iron Maiden, W.A.S.P, Judas Priest, and Van Halen...”
“Don’t you dare do it.” Eddie warns to that naughty gleam in your eye. “They’ll never look at me the same.”
The guys lean in all interested.
“… And Dolly Parton. Especially Jolene.” They descend into laughing uproar. Eddie throws chips at Sinclair who was cackling.
They were never to know you two hollered along to that at the top of your lungs, on the drive to school in the summertime. Windows open. Hair flying. Shades on. Soupy sunshine and enjoying another cloying Indiana July.
That was the month you’d met this gorgeous creature. Watching fireflies come out laying in the long cool grass at the trailer park, sharing a joint. You in a gossamer sundress the colour of blushing peonies. It was like a way too good fever dream. Hazy days and deep purple sticky summer midnights.
“Favourite food?” Comes the next.
“His favourite meal is a chilli dog, with jalapeño loaded dirty fries with everything, and I mean everything, on it, and one of those strawberry mega monster shake things you get at the diner over on Admiral. He also loves sour candy, like a ridiculous amount. Sour patch kids, nerds, jolly ranchers.”
Eddie who was eating next to you frowned through chewing your sandwich down. The whole thing was nearly gone. Your half was looking pretty tasty too.
“I also know he doesn’t really have a great sense of a varied diet. He won’t eat for hours and then he’ll scarf it down in five seconds like a seagull. Case in point-“ Wave your hand across at him. Like you were presenting him.
“Hey-“ He mumbled. Mouth stuffed with almost all your sandwich.
“All in all, Bottomless void when it comes to food. Runs almost entirely on nicotine and caffeine. Or gas station beef jerky, and out of date mini powdered doughnuts.” You finish.
“Celebrity crush?” Dustin points a finger at you.
“Eartha Kitt. In her skin tight Catwoman costume.” You smile sultrily. “Next?”
“Damn.” Jeff laughed.
“Favourite subject?”
Oh you scoff.
“DND. Obviously. He hates science and math. But he’s actually shockingly good at English. He’s a reader. Reads more comics and fantasy books, than anyone I know. If you can’t find him, guaranteed he’s in the fantasy section.”
“Wow dude, really?” Gareth asks.
Eddie actually blushed.
“It’s actually pretty cute. You know Mrs Coulter, the elderly librarian? Yeah. They exchange Xmas cards. She properly dotes on him. Adorable. Calls him Edward.” You chuckle.
“No way-“ Dustin grins. Giggling. “Edward.” He preens. Cheeks all squidgy with his smile.
Eddie flicks a gaze over at you. It’s almost edgy, but he’s smiling. He’ll remember that- for later on.
“Henderson, I will jam that fork in your eye.”
You overlap the violence and pat the back of your boyfriends hand. Nudge your lunch towards him as a consolation prize.
“He’s just terrible at being forced to read and write stuff. Nonconformer in him really rails against being told what to do.” You lay out nodding.
Cause that was kinda a given where he’s concerned.
“Oh, oh, I know. Favourite movie…” Jeff clicks his fingers at you.
“Friday 13th. The Goonies when he’s stoned out his crazy brain.” You pat Eddie’s head affectionately as you speak.
“Ok those are fairly standard. How about a random trivia round?…” Dustin decides very loudly. Slamming his fist down on the table top. Almost knocking over Mikes can of tab. Jesus Dustin. Watch it man-
You roll your eyes and think. You also shut your book cause you know you won’t be cramming for your English test with the current inquisition going on.
“What does Eddie hate… what are some of his dislikes.”
“Jocks. Uh, He uhm, hates mushrooms on his pizza. Picks the pickles out his burger. He prefers winter to summer. Cuts all the scratchy labels out his clothes cause they annoy the hell out of him. Gets hay fever pretty bad. He thinks playing or watching sports is dull as shit. He can’t stand CCR, or mint chocolate chip ice cream.”
“I’m sorry but no ice cream should taste like toothpaste. It’s sick.” Eddie whines.
“He has little scars on his back that he likes to claim are scratches from sex.” You begin.
“Yeah he’s showed those us a lot. It’s sickening.
“Okay, wait til I tell you that he actually got them from falling ass first into my moms rose bush when he was sneaking in through my bedroom window one night.”
“I brought you chicken noodle soup when you were on the very verge of death. Pencils.” Eddie defends.
You turn and catch his pouty little eyes as he leans into you.
“He thinks I don’t know that he sometimes feeds the trailer park strays. Leaves out a can of tuna and bowls of water for them. Has given most of them metal names.”
Holy shit. Eddie makes this face at you like he’s in awe of all the little things you’d grasped about him. Made his stomach feel all slippy and gooey. Yeah. This is definitely love, kid.
“Awhh.”
Eddie snaps his eyes across to his friend who dares make that noise. He picked up the fork closest to him. Shooting feral eyes.
“Oh, He’s named his van.”
“Pencils.” He warns.
“Shut up.” Mike counters. “What is it?”
“Galadriel.” You chirp all sunny.
Dustin looks so happy.
“You’re single handedly ruining my reputation here, honey.”
You lean in and smack a kiss on the end of his nose.
“You have a sex rep I don’t know about, Munson?” You raise one brow. Up in his face about it. That jumper sliding down a silky skinned shoulder he wants to nose at. Call a spade a spade. He wants to bite it. Soothe the bite with his tongue and hear you coo oh, Eddie.
“Not in front of the halflings, Baby. They’re fresh faced and innocent right out the shire.” He dotes at you.
“Hey we’ve seen some shit.” One of them defends
“Not talking about a DND campaign you little pipsqueak.” Eddie smirks.
His hand is sliding around the waistband of your hip. Scooping around your back and pulling you to him. Clutching at his leathered shoulders and your thighs guided sideways over his lap. He snatched you right out your seat.
“Children avert your gaze. Some very 18+ activities are about to happen here.” Eddie warns them as his hands smooth up your jumper. Over your hips and back. He growls when he gets his ring clad fingers clutching your ass through your jeans.
“Ok, I really didn’t need to see that.”
“Buckle up, Pencils.” He whispers into your ear and brushed his tongue over your pulse.
“I’m going for public indecency to prove a point to these assholes.”
Then he seals his lips across yours and pushes his tongue into your mouth, as with any wild Eddie kiss, you melt. You feel his jaw open.
Your spine uncurls and slopes down your body like jello. It’s a movie star kiss that demanded Dolby technicolour and surround sound. A swooning kiss off the silver screen that could curl toes, and bloom whole fields of daisies.
You grasp his hair and reel him in. Kiss him back all spitty and wet to prove a point, and you’re not shy about shoving your tongue in his mouth. He moans.
You scratch his scalp. He sucks your bottom lip like you’re a delicacy. It’s way too much. So filthy. Fucking beautiful is what it is.
Then you feel his wicked, wicked hand pinging dangerously at your bra clasp. Snapping it to your skin. He bites his lip when he pulls back and shoots you those sultry black bedroom eyes.
“This is the one I hate getting off isn’t it? The goddamned purple one.” He says all lusty as he rubs the tip of his nose into yours. Your cheeks are so hot. Blood lava hot pushing in your face.
“You’re a trooper. Munson. You’ll figure it out.” You tell him with a teasing voice that you can feel makes his dick throb under your thighs.
“Can’t wait to get in those panties, later.”
“I’ve got art class after school. Come by around eight. Moms out tonight.” You flirt. Which means takeout, and suffocating, hands wandering, kisses, til you can’t remember which way is up or down. And so much Eddie. It feels like you’ll burst with love of him.
His lips taste like sugary tab and, now, your chapstick. Ash swirls on his breath from his last smoke. He’ll be itching for another one soon. Maybe you’ll sneak away and join him. Make out for the remainder of lunch time.
“Good. I really love it when you can scream loud when I bury my face in your pus-“ You clap your hand over his mouth.
“They don’t need chapter and verse. Baby.”
Eddie responds by licking a big hot stripe up your palm.
“You know, guys, maybe they’re not faking it.”
“Please, people are trying to eat here!”
“I’m definitely gonna barf.”
Prima Vista Part I
Rating: E (explicit; mdni) Pairing: Mike Zacharias x fem!reader wc: ~ 9.7k Warnings: dubious consent (because of alcohol), just copious amounts of sex, oral, squirting, 69ing, college shenanigans, obnoxious frat boys, terrible fashion choices A/N: At long last, here we have the beginning. Massive thanks to @pleasantanathema and @whats-her-quirk who have been cheering for me since I told them I wanted to right a “little college AU” for a “little collab” June and I have been planning for a while. Also, I don’t know where I’d be without Lauren’s fraternity knowledge, so extra thanks for that, babe. I hope everyone has as much fun with this fic as I did.
Tumblr media
God, you hate frat boys.
Their sense of entitlement, all their fucking house pride. Brother this, brother that. It's annoying. Add in the factors of being an athlete on top of it, and they're downright insufferable.
So it makes absolutely no sense that you're at a fucking Pi Kappa Alpha party.
Your friend, Hitch, dragged you here (naturally), and it wasn't like you could really object considering she's the only real friend you have on campus. You study together and switch off between dorms to watch movies and bitch about classes. She's the complete opposite of you in many different ways, but you soul-bonded over biology and that was that.
Unfortunately, Hitch decided she would leave you to your own devices almost immediately, opting to skip over to a game of beer pong and flirt with a boy in her statistics class. You have no idea why considering he has a fucking bowl cut, but she's been talking about him for weeks now.
The party is filled with loud music and too many people with red solo cups. There's no way they're all of age, so you're already paranoid that the cops are gonna raid the place, but there's nothing you can do besides leave. It's a tempting thought.
Before you can, though, there's an uproar in the kitchen, and curiosity gets the best of you. Moving from your place against the wall, you make your way over to peek in and see what's going on. A large group of frat boys, what you think are sorority girls, and whoever else wants to join are raising their cups to cheer. An especially loud voice rings out above the rest, "One win down, eleven more to go!"
Claps and supportive shouts are nearly deafening.
"I think we can do it! Do you think we can do it?"
More cheers, more hollers.
"Let's hear it for UC lacrosse!"
You have to cover your ears this time. Should have known this party was to celebrate the win earlier that day.
When the crowd parts, you see the ringleader, Erwin Smith who is very well-known on campus for three reasons: he will talk your ear off about history if given the chance, he's irritatingly gorgeous, and he will fuck any pretty girl with a pulse.
Again—you fucking hate frat boys.
To ease your bad mood and possibly encourage you to have some semblance of a good time, you shuffle further into the kitchen to grab a drink. You feel a little exposed, not dressed like many of the other girls who are either in rompers or the classic sorority chick outfit (giant college shirts that cover their shorts). You are in a crop top, torn shorts, and a floral cardigan. Not your best outfit, not your worst.
There's no way you're touching any of the pre-poured cups or the jungle juice, opting for an unopened can of mediocre beer.
You feel someone approach you from behind, glance over your shoulder to see nothing but a broad chest covered by a fucking hawaiian shirt.
Craning your neck, you're met with another familiar face, one Mike Zacharias known as 1) Erwin's best friend, 2) one of the tallest guys on campus, and 3) the best lacrosse player on the team.
You haven't spoken a single word to him but that doesn't stop him from grinning at you, flipping shaggy hair from his face, and chanting a low, "Shotgun, shotgun, shotgun!"
"Are you god damn joking me?" You ask with a raised eyebrow.
"Hell no!"
"I have shotgunned a beer literally once in my life, and at least half of it ended up on my shirt."
"That's alright," Mike's smile shrinks to a smirk. "We're all about getting chicks wet in Pike."
Face falling, you scoff, "Yeah, okay, I'm leaving."
You sidestep him, cracking open the beer, but he follows close behind you. It makes a little bit of fear spike in your gut—everyone knows the horror stories that accompany many fraternities—but you're mostly just annoyed.
"Hey, what's your name again?"
Again. As if you've actually formally met before.
"Why do you care?"
Mike does not hesitate when he answers, "'Cause you look like you're having a shit time here, and I'd like to change that."
You roll your eyes, let your head loll over your shoulder to look at him again. If you're being honest with yourself, he's kind of extremely hot with his undercut and flippy hair, not to mention the stubble that's grown out just enough to make you think thoughts for a split second.
"A noble cause," you quip. "Truly."
He chuckles, watching too closely as you take a sip of your beer.
"So? Name?"
After too big of a swallow, you answer him, and light green eyes brighten a little.
"Oh, you're Hitch's friend, right?"
Of course that would be your only identifier on campus. Hitch is insanely pretty and very outgoing. It makes sense that people just know you as her tag-along.
It doesn't stop you from feeling slightly offended, though.
"Yeah, and you're Erwin's friend, right?"
"Among other things," he snorts. "Mike Zacharias." He holds out a massive hand that you eye before taking, figure you shouldn't be too much of a bitch and make a bad impression on the most highly regarded frat at the college.
"I know who you are, dude. Not many people don't."
"Aw, flatterer."
That grin is back on his face, lopsided and far too charming, and you definitely need to get away from him before you down a couple more beers.
"Freshman?" He pries, and somehow you wind up at the staircase, leaning against the wall and praying he'll just stand beside you instead of caging you in.
He does, and you let out a breath of relief.
"Sophomore."
His eyebrows shoot up for a second. "Fuck, you've made it through a whole year flying under my radar?"
You give him a wholly unimpressed look. "Wow, you really know what to say to a girl, don't you?"
"That came off as shitty, sorry. I just mean, like, you're super cute. Feel like I would have committed you to memory if I'd seen you."
Your face heats up probably more than it ever has in your life, but you still snap, "We haven't had a single class together, I never go to your games, and this is the first Pike party I've been to."
Mike nods. "Ah, that explains it. Just haven't given anyone a chance to notice you."
"Sure, let's go with that."
Another several sips. You hiss at the taste, and Mike laughs.
"Can't handle beer?"
"Can't handle shitty beer."
"Ouch. Want me to grab you something else?"
He really doesn't seem to understand the warnings all girls have heard over the years. That, or he just doesn't care. You don't know him well enough to pass that kind of judgement.
"Uh, no. I always make my own drinks at parties."
"That's understandable." Except it isn't. He doesn't have a clue.
"Well, you can go grab one, and I'll just finish this one for you. Don't want it to go to waste."
It's your turn to smirk now. "That desperate to swap spit, Zacharias?"
"Like this?" He laughs through his nose. "Nah. But I can think of other ways."
"We've been talking for literally two minutes."
"I'm perfectly capable of making decisions in two minutes."
"Not any good ones obviously."
Tilting his head, Mike thinks out loud, "Can't tell if that's an insult aimed at me or yourself."
"Take it however you want. I don't really care."
His eyes glint with amusement. There's no way you're escaping this any time soon.
Long, thick fingers close around the top of your can, and he gently tugs it out of your hand then keeps those eyes locked with yours as he takes a sip.
"Gross." You try to keep the teasing tone from your voice.
"Just go get another drink."
You actually listen, mostly to get away from him but also because you could go for something easier to stomach.
A game of King's Cup is going on in the kitchen, a five obviously being drawn because everyone suddenly pantomimes holding a steering wheel. It's surprisingly fun to watch, so you post up next to the counter after mixing orange and pineapple juice with rum.
"Four's whores!"
"Categories! Different beers!"
"Seven heaven!"
"Ayyy, waterfall!"
You shake your head as everyone drinks for way too long. Some people are already swaying in circles where they're sitting. Others are simply red-faced.
"Wanna play?"
"Jesus! You came outta nowhere."
Mike looks too smug for your liking, but doesn't say anything, just crushes the empty can in his hand and throws it into the trashcan next to the back door, all gooseneck and perfect arch.
"Let me guess—you're reigning champ at beer pong."
"Nah," he waves you off. "That's Erwin and Nile. King's Cup however…"
"King's Cup isn't even a competition. It's just flipping cards and getting fucked up."
"Well, yeah, but it's still fun."
You let out a heavy sigh, eyes still trained on the game going on, then concede, "Once this one is over, I'll play. Just to get you off my back." And because he won't have the chance to talk to you for the duration of the game.
"Excellent."
You manage to finish your drink by the time the round ends, have to rush to make another as Mike strides over to the table and steals the two seats that have been vacated. They're right across from each other. You don't know if you'd prefer that or just sitting next to him so he can't stare at you.
Sauntering over, you plop down and place your drink in front of you. The guy to your right is quick to introduce himself with hooded eyes and a self-assured smile. You give him basically the same treatment that you've been giving Mike, making him pout and turn away as a freckled girl deals out the cards.
It's fast paced, and you find yourself drinking more than you'd planned. Mike picks you as his buddy (of course), and the guy next to you makes everyone drink for nearly thirty seconds straight when he pulls an ace.
Still, you find yourself laughing as people scream and curse. You catch eyes with Mike often, and as you finish your second drink, he begins looking very attractive. More attractive than before. So attractive that you allow him to pour your third cup.
"If you roofied this, I'm gonna be real upset with you," you tell him just before taking a sip. He added more rum than you did, but that doesn't surprise you.
"Hey, one of Pike's virtues is being a gentleman."
As soon as he says it, about seven people around the table shout, "Pi Kappa Alpha!" like some kind of sports team, and you roll your eyes so hard it hurts.
You're drunk after this game. And, then you make another drink and get plastered. Meandering around the rest of the party, bodies begin to blur together, the music fades in and out, and you barely know what you're saying to Mike anymore as he follows you close behind in the same state. For every drink you've had, he's had two, and now he's walking around with a cup full of jungle juice nodding at his brothers, smiling at all the girls who look at him.
His room is downstairs unlike most of the others, right at the end of the hallway. It makes it far too easy to end up inside, but as soon as the door closes and his huge hands find your hips, your world disappears entirely.
*
The first thing you feel when you wake up is a nauseating pounding in your head. The second is a very large body behind you.
God dammit, you think, trying to recall the events of the night before.
Pi Kappa Alpha. Hitch left you, so you hung out with… Mike Zacharias? From the lacrosse team?
Frowning, you try to look over your shoulder, but all you can really see is a head of hair. However, you can feel the coarseness of his beard against your bare shoulder, and that's enough to solidify that it is indeed Mike behind you.
Shifting some brings more of your physical state to your attention—your naked chest under the blanket, the way your legs are pressed together, your pussy between your thighs… swollen? Jesus, what did he do to you last night? You can also feel something dry and crusty on your stomach which is both disgusting and relieving. At least he had enough sense to pull out.
Luckily, his arm isn't wrapped around you which makes it much easier to sit up on your elbow. It takes you a while to locate your clothes around the room from where you are, and even then, all you can find are your shorts, shoes, and bra. You peer around, trying not to groan at the headache threatening to make you black the fuck out all over again, but that pounding as well as the nauseating churning of your stomach is making it difficult.
You slide out of the bed, basically crawling to the little pile of discarded clothes. As you fumble with fastening your bra, you glance around one more time in search of your shirt and cardigan, but it’s no use. What you do see, however, is the obnoxious Hawaiian shirt  Mike had been wearing the night before, and well… You’d rather not leave the Pike house topless, so…
Snatching it off the floor, you slip your arms through the giant sleeves and somehow manage to button up about half of it. Then, you’re flying out the door, desperate to be in your own dorm, curled over your own toilet, in your own clothes.
Oh, thank god his room wasn’t upstairs, you praise, trying to remember the way to the front door. There are numerous bodies and tipped over cups to navigate through, and you cringe at the various odors that assault your senses.
You see the door from across the room, so close and getting closer as you try not to trip over anything, but as you pass the kitchen, you hear a smooth, familiar voice greet, “Good morning,” in a smug way.
Erwin is leaning against a counter, smirking over a steaming cup of coffee. He’s wearing only sweatpants, his hair is a little mussed, and for a split second, you understand why he pulls so many girls.
Still, you roll your eyes and continue moving—a classic DNE situation, but the frat boy doesn’t seem to get the message, instead calling out, “Nice shirt!”
“Fuck off, Smith,” is the only thing you utter before leaving, slamming the door behind you.
*
Mike easily catches the frisbee that spins directly at his face then quickly throws it back to try and catch Nile off guard. It works, and the brunet curses and has to go running after the flying disc.
A few girls watching from the nearby fountain clap and yell his name, wriggling fingers in a wave as if he can actually see that far away. Mike gives one wave of his own hand then turns back to the grass where Nile is jogging back to his place.
“You did that on purpose, you asshole!” He spits.
Mike shrugs his shoulders, yells back, “Get better at frisbee, and you won’t have this problem!”
Nile throws the plastic so hard that it flies off toward the fountain, making all those girls scream and dive for cover.
“Yeah, I’m not getting that,” Mike shakes his head. Nile drags his fingers down his angular face before setting off on yet another trek, apologizing profusely then standing around to flirt like usual.
Blowing hair out of his face, Mike considers joining his brother, but before he can, he sees a familiar figure turning on the sidewalk, about to pass the fountain and head toward Hartley Hall.
His feet are moving before he really registers it, glad his long legs can carry him quickly even at a walk. Mike calls out when he’s a couple yards away, and you turn to him, eyes growing wide before you start to move faster.
He can just barely make out the words, “Nope. Not doing this,” and chuckles, catching up the rest of the way.
“Hey, chill, I just wanna talk.”
You turn to look at him, head tilted up, squinting against the sun, and Mike has never been more thankful for his height because you look so god damn cute all small and irritated with him.
“What is there to talk about? I don’t even remember anything.”
“Yeah, neither do I,” he says, lacing fingers together behind his head. “Shame.”
“Whatever.”
Mike tries and fails to hide a snort, nods at Nile as you both pass him and the gaggle of girls surrounding him. Mike has no doubt his friend will get at least one phone number out of it, if not all of them.
“Did you at least have a good time before you blacked out?” He ventures.
You shrug your shoulders, hitch your backpack up a little higher. “Maybe. But, if I was just around you the whole time, probably not.”
“Aw, come on! What did I ever do to you?”
“You need a list?”
Mike nods. “Would probably help.”
“For brevity's sake, I’ll just say that you started the night trying to get a literal stranger to shotgun a beer and ended the night fucking said stranger and… Not holding back, apparently.” Mike frowns, about to ask what you mean by that, but you elaborate before he can. Voice dropping, you question, “Do you have any idea how fucking sore I’ve been for the last few days? What the fuck do you even have hidden in those stupid shorts?”
“I’d be happy to show you again.” He grins sideways, and when you shoot him a venomous look, he figures it’s time to change the subject. “Anyway, I may have done that and more, but you’re the thief.”
“Excuse me?”
Mike tries to sound nonchalant as he accuses, “Stole my shirt and everything." Honestly, he's a little upset that he didn’t actually get to see you wearing it.
“I—”
“That’s my favorite shirt, you know?”
You laugh. Finally. “Are you serious?”
“Absolutely.”
“That shirt is fucking heinous, okay? You’re lucky I didn’t burn it.”
“Does that mean I can have it back?”
You make a little noise in your throat, something between a grumble and a growl, but you check your phone and tell him, “Fine. My next class isn’t for another couple of hours, so just…Follow me.”
It takes immense effort to not skip to your dorm like a little kid, but Mike is excited. He’s not gonna try anything weird, but just seeing your space? He’ll be able to get a better feel for you. So far, all he knows is that you live and breathe sarcasm and can’t handle your liquor well. It’s enough to get him a little more than interested, but it’s not enough to go off of.
The two of you gain a few looks as you make your way through the shared study space of the dormitory, heads turning, eyebrows raising in recognition. No one should be all that surprised; it’s not like Mike and Erwin haven’t frequented a lot of these rooms.
You lead him down a hallway, and Mike looks at all the little dry-erase intro boards hanging outside of every door. He’s a little surprised to see that the one by yours isn’t blank. Your name is written in bubble letters, surrounded by little hearts, and when you catch him looking at it, you’re quick to tell him, “Hitch.”
“Ah. Of course.”
He follows you inside, staying by the door to not invade too much of your space, but he doesn’t even try to be subtle as he looks around the small room. Pennant for the college hung up over a cork bulletin board that’s a mess of photos and sticky notes. Cluttered desk with just enough of it cleared to fit a laptop. Tiny succulents on the window sill. Double bed covered in a quilt. And there, in the open closet, Mike catches sight of his shirt—pastel pink and littered with palm trees.
After dropping your backpack on your bed, you step over to the hanging clothes and grab it, muttering, “Ridiculous,” as you hand it over.
Mike laughs as he slings it over his shoulder. “You know what’ll make you hate it even more?” You quirk an eyebrow, probably doubting that anything could, but your entire face falls when he informs you, “I have matching shorts to go with it.”
“No you do not.”
“Definitely do.”
“That should be a crime. You should be arrested.”
He chuckles, has a retort on the tip of his tongue, but something catches his eye—a bookshelf tucked away in the corner by your bed overflowing with novels and knick-knacks. Mike sees a particularly thick paperback, recognizing the black background and small desert picture on the spine.
“Bro!” He walks over, plants a hand in the middle of your mattress, and reaches for it. “Is this fucking Dune?”
“Uh, yeah?”
“This is, like, my favorite book, dude.”
“Seriously?” You sound just as disbelieving as you do disinterested.
Mike begins flipping through it, scanning over highlighted passages as he nods. “I have the whole series back home, but I only brought this one and Messiah with me to college.”
He straightens up but keeps a knee on the edge of the bed, and you plop down to sit on it, watching him closely as he continues to look over the notes scribbled in the margins.
“I had to read it in high school," you tell him. "Then my cousin gave me a lot of the books after I talked with him about it one time. I haven’t gotten around to reading them, though.”
“You really should,” Mike urges. “I mean, I know you probably have a shit ton of reading for classes, but if you ever get the chance, you should at least read the next two.”
“You some kind of closet nerd, Zacharias?”
“Kinda,” he admits, putting the book back on the shelf only to grab a worn copy of Fellowship of the Ring. “I mean, Erwin and a few others are well aware, but I don’t really broadcast it.”
“Not good for the cool guy image?”
“Nah, people are just more interested in other things,” he mumbles, eyes fixed on the tiny print.
“Mike Zacharias,” his gaze flicks to you as you laugh quietly. “Lacrosse god and big fucking geek.”
He closes the book and uses it to lightly hit you on the top of the head with it. You half-heartedly smack him right in his abs only to push against the muscle harder and ask, “Jesus Christ, what do you have under there?”
“You know, that’s the second time you’ve asked what I have under my clothes,” he points out, a little too satisfied. “Better watch out, or I’m gonna start getting ideas.”
You huff, but your hand is definitely still on his stomach, unmoving but warm through his shirt. Mike told himself he wouldn’t do anything weird once he got here, but you’re already on the bed and touching him, and he’d kind of really like to have this particular experience while sober, so he very slowly takes your wrist and moves it away.
It makes you look up at him, a question dancing in your eyes as your lips part. Mike makes sure his own stare conveys everything he’s thinking, wishes he could just transplant his thoughts into your brain so that he can put you a little more at ease around him.
You’re onto him, though, tugging your hand from his grip and blinking a few times. He figures you’re about to point to the door and tell him to take his fucking Hawaiian shirt and leave.
Instead, you pull on the fabric covering his ribs so that he loses his balance and has to catch himself before crashing into you. It puts his face level with yours, and you take the opportunity to kiss him—hard, desperate, and a little confused judging by the way you’re frowning.
Mike grunts, holding himself up with the arm on the side of your hips then uses the other to slide under the thigh closest to him and pull you further onto the bed. He’s straddling you in no time, up on his knees so that he doesn’t crush you.
Hearing the sound of shoes hitting the ground, he tugs his shirt off over his head, and then he’s curling over you again. Your mouths grow slick with spit. He slides his tongue past your lips, and you arch into him, fingers tangling in his hair. Mike pushes you back down so that he can strip you down to your bra and panties then takes the time to rid himself of his shoes and shorts.
“Oh, fuck,” he hears you breathe, and when he glances up at you, he finds you staring at what he knows is an intimidatingly large bulge under his boxer briefs. “It makes sense now—the soreness.”
Mike chuckles, slots his forearms on either side of your head and mutters, “Yeah, sorry about that.”
You lick his lips and he bites yours, bodies clashing together as he grinds himself against your covered pussy. Eventually Mike is able to snake a hand down your body, making sure to brush over your ribs so that you squirm beneath him. Fuck, he already loves the way you squirm. And, when he moves your panties to the side and teases your little hole, already wet just from making out, Mike discovers that he loves the way you moan too.
He’s slow as he pushes a finger in, groaning when you clench around it. Pumping it in and out, he gently works you open and wonders if he was courteous enough to do this the other night. He hopes he was.
You spread your legs for him, start bucking into his hand, especially when he hits that special spot inside you.
“Fuck, fuck, fu—” You grab his face, bringing it close to yours again so that you can muffle curses against his lips.
When Mike adds a second finger, your jaw drops, and you start to tremble.
“Too much?” He asks.
You shake your head, stutter a breathy, “N-no. Just—ah—slow. Go slow.”
He moves to suck on your neck, promising, “I will.”
Mike waits until you’re dripping into his palm and spread about as widely as you can be underneath him. Then, and only then does he shimmy out of his underwear and question, “Condom?”
“Bookshelf,” you huff. “In the jewelry box.”
When he opens it, a little ballerina spins, and Mike has to laugh at the ridiculousness of it. “That’s twisted.”
“Shut up.”
He grabs one of the gold packages and tears it open, then rolls the latex over his cock and discards the wrapper somewhere.
Mike only gives you his tip first, sits right inside your entrance so that you can squeeze him and get used to the feeling before he pushes in any more. You barely shift your hips back and forth, like an experiment. It’s just enough for Mike to see slick coating the end of the condom, and he nearly starts drooling.
He presses in a little more, appreciates the way your eyes roll into the back of your head, then adds one more inch.
“Jesus Christ.” Your breaths are coming in short gasps, words slurring together. He’s not even halfway in, and you’re already fucked out.
Your cunt is spasming around him, and Mike tries to get you to relax more by lightly rubbing your clit with the pad of his thumb.
You leak around him, pussy slowly but surely opening up a little more so that he can slide in further. He gives a few shallow thrusts that make you whine, then reaches up to grab one of your pillows which only sends him deeper.
“God dam—”
Mike lifts you and shoves the pillow under your hips, smiles in a way he’s pretty sure you hate, then jokes, “Better to fuck you with, my dear.”
“In...sufferable…” The annoyed tone is lost when you cry out. Mike buries himself as far as he can without hurting you. He isn’t quite balls deep, but you feel so fucking good that he doesn’t even mind.
Starting a steady rhythm that has every upthrust dragging over your g-spot, Mike watches through foggy eyes as your mouth opens and closes, chest rising with stuttering breaths before you exhale and moan. He dips his thumb between your folds to gather a little bit of slick and return it to your clit. The circular motion makes you arch again, and Mike abandons the little bud for just a moment so that he can unclasp your bra and pull it off. The sight of your tits bouncing in time with his thrusts almost does him in, but he holds back, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment to gather himself.
You’re just clamping around him so perfectly, pussy drooling and creaming on his cock, and Mike is not a quickshot, but for you—
He pulls out all at once, flips you so that you’re on hands and knees, then spreads you open to lick into you from behind.
“Holy—”
Mike’s cock is throbbing where it bobs against his stomach, but he can ignore it for the most part, focused on eating you out, sucking at your messy lips then dragging the flat of his tongue over your hole. He moves his face back and forth, wants to leave his mark on you in the form of stubble burn between your legs.
“Mike, Mike, fuck, please.”
He’s positive you can’t actually hear him when he teases, “Please what?” right into the crevice of your ass.
You growl, push against him, and swallow enough pride to beg, “Please fuck me.”
Biting his lip, Mike straightens up enough to watch his fingers disappear into your pussy. One, two, then a third that makes your messy entrance stretch for him. He lowers his face again, feather light licks around your sensitive hole, and when he twists his wrist so that he can tap on your spot, you come immediately.
A mixture of slick and squirt drips from your cunt and soaks into your quilt. Mike pushes more out as he continues to finger fuck you, humming at the way your arms give out and you fall against the mattress.
This is the perfect position for him. He replaces his wet fingers with his cock and ruts into you quickly, chasing after his own impending orgasm. Pretty little whimpers fall from your lips, fuck drunk as you babble, “Oh, god, Mike, Mike, fuck…”
He’s gripping your hips too tightly, pulling you back against him, shoving his cock deeper and deeper until he finally comes with a shudder and a low groan.
Mike pants for a few seconds, then leans down to press a few kisses to your spine, but instead of the usual happy sighs he gets from most girls, you just roll your shoulders and mutter, “Stop that.”
He does, then pulls out, takes a second to stare at your pussy—worked open from his size and still dripping. It would make a very pretty picture, but Mike wouldn’t dare try that with you.
You roll onto your back, a huff of air leaving your lungs as you scrub a hand over your face then tilt your head to him. It looks like you have something to say, but you just chew on your bottom lip, eyes moving from Mike to the door.
And, he can take a hint. You don’t have to say it.
With a self-deprecating snort, he pulls the condom off, tying it then tossing it into the trashcan by your bed.
“Yeah, okay,” he nods. “Let me just…” Mike tugs his clothes back on, kindly tosses you your top so that you can cover yourself like you obviously want to.
He makes sure to grab the Hawaiian shirt that brought him here in the first place, tossing it over his shoulder then striding to the door.
Chancing one more glance at you, you force a smile and try to pad his bruised ego. “Don’t worry, it was good. You were good. It’s just not gonna happen again.”
Mike fights a smirk, raises a hand in a wave, then steps out.
Not gonna happen again, he chuckles to himself. Yeah, right.
*
You don't understand how this keeps happening, how you keep ending up in bed with Mike fucking Zacharias.
This time you had gone to the disgusting bar right off campus, got one whole drink in your system before the familiar trio walked in. They were all in khakis and pastels—Erwin in blue, Nile in yellow, Mike in pink. Again.
You actually slammed your head down on the bartop because despite how basic he looked in his light polo, Mike was still hot.
Is still hot.
Back at the Pi Kappa Alpha house, you're a mess of limbs on his bed. You take immense pleasure in tugging his shirt off, and once his arms are free again, he's lifting the hem of your little skirt and mouthing over your thong.
You're more than tipsy after a couple more drinks but nowhere near as drunk as you were the first night. It hadn't taken much convincing from Erwin for you and Hitch to play pool with them, and when Mike had come up behind you to help you line up your shot, you knew you were a goner.
While he's busy between your legs, you take off your shirt and bra. Green eyes flick up as soon as you toss both articles on to the floor, and without any hesitation, Mike reaches up to grope your tits.
He's clumsy and distracted as he tongues over the warmth pooling in your underwear, squeezing plump flesh and pinching your nipple so that you whine and push your hips further into his face.
Mike groans, just as drunk if not more so. He's messy as he kisses your thighs, nearly rips your thong when he pulls it off of you.
His tongue feels good, too fucking good as he laves over your entrance, soothing an ache that isn't quite there anymore but definitely was a few days ago.
"Taste so fucking good," he grumbles, slurping and sucking and making you squeeze your thighs around his head.
"Okay," you pant. "Okay, okay." You grab him by the hair and lift his head from you, stomach flipping at the sight of the bottom half of his face absolutely covered in slick.
God dammit, why is he so sexy?
Your mouth waters, and the thought of possibly giving him head this time crosses your mind. You're just inebriated enough to stay relaxed, didn't drink to the point of throwing up, and he has gone down on you the last two times so...
Lizard brain taking over, you sit up, tell him to flip over, then start making your way down his body.
Mike grabs you before you can turn to face him, fingers digging into your thighs and pulling you down to sit on his face.
"Fucking—I'm trying to blow you, for Christ's sake."
He moves his head just enough to tell you, "So? You can do that while I do this."
And, he's not wrong. It just means that you're gonna get distracted.
For a while, all you can really do is control your breathing and undulate on top of him, but eventually you fall to your elbows and lick up his shaft from base to tip.
Mike really does have a nice cock—a beautiful cock—bigger than you've ever taken in terms of both length and girth, and veiny in the perfect way. Even his balls make your pussy throb, large and round, the right just slightly bigger than the left and now dripping with saliva as you lower your mouth further and further onto his cock.
The feeling of his tongue buried in your cunt is making you delirious, eyes rolling, muscles going slack as you gurgle around the tip hitting the back of your throat.
Mike groans into you, his legs starting to shake, and you assume in your half aware state that he's trying to not just skull fuck you into oblivion.
You know you're making a mess, both on his face and on his cock. The fingertips that have been holding you open shift, one of them slipping into your clenching hole, and your hips begin to move on their own volition, riding what he'll give you while moving your tongue back and forth.
You've only taken about half of him, doubt you can take any more. He's hot and heavy in your mouth, and when you pull off to breathe, you can taste pre cum on the back of your tongue.
It triggers something in you, makes you raise up and clumsily turn around so that you can work him inside of you.
Mike groans a long, "Fuuuck," and immediately starts thrusting upward.
You're lucky you're as wet as you are, but the burn that comes with getting so stretched out still makes you hiss. You brace yourself on his broad chest, feeling the dampness of sweat forming a sheen on him, and your own body starts to feel too hot.
You had wanted to ride him to feel in control of the situation for once, but you quickly realize it's not gonna happen, Mike gripping your hips and moving you how he sees fit.
He's raw this time, a thought that should scare you, but he feels so good even through the discomfort. Every vein and ridge hits all the sweet spots inside of you, the flared head of his cock smooth as it presses just where you need it to.
You're squirting again—he just seems to be able to fuck it out of you. It's not the high you're looking for, but the release in pressure still feels divine.
Mike seems to enjoy it too because he looks down at where you're connected, swears at the way you gush on his cock, then starts swiping fingers over your clit so quickly it almost hurts.
More fluid leaks from you, and Mike breathes a low, "Come on, baby, come on, 'm gonna fuck you dry tonight."
Hearing him talk like that—his hand rubbing over your overstimulated clit, his thick cock threatening to split you in two—causes heat to travel up your legs and down your arms until it settles in your stomach and floods you.
You cry out, stars and tears behind your eyes as Mike keeps going, taking everything he can from you until he's laying in a huge wet spot in his bed.
He lifts you just in time to shoot cum upward on your chest, white splattering then dripping down in strands to pool on his stomach.
You stare down at him, mouth hanging open and find him looking up at you with the same expression.
It's hands down the best sex you've ever had, but you're not about to tell him that. Instead, you dismount him like the fucking horse he is and stand on weak legs, actually have to lean on the bed for support.
"Just stay the night." His voice is deep and full of gravel. It's entirely too hot.
"Absolutely not." You shake your head, grab your shirt and his boxers then ask, "Where's the nearest bathroom?"
"Down the hall on the right, but you don't have to sneak out the window or anything. Just use the front door if you're tryin’ to run away."
You can't help but snort. Stupid. "I'm not trying to escape, dummy. I just need to pee."
"Oh. Right."
You slip out of the room, hoping it's late enough for everyone to be asleep, but you have no such luck as the door to the bathroom opens and fucking Erwin steps out.
He hums, looking you over for a moment as his lips lift on one side.
"Don't say anything," you grit through your teeth.
He holds his hands up in surrender, chuckles, acting all innocent. "Wasn't going to."
You squint, not believing him for a second, then move around him to get to the bathroom. Before you can shut the door, you hear him mutter, "Another one bites the dust," and consider running out and strangling him.
*
"Please please please come with me to this game," Hitch begs, her hands clasped together, imploring eyes wide and doe-like.
"No. You have plenty of other friends to go with. You don't need me there."
"But, I want you to be there. It's gonna be such a good match. Rival schools and all that."
You roll your eyes. "Hitch, in all the time you've known me, have you ever seen me give a single fuck about sports?"
"No, but you'll finally get to see Mike and Erwin and Nile play."
"All the more reason not to go."
"Do you not like them or something? Why wouldn't you like them? Everybody likes them!"
She doesn't know, and you don't want her to. She had been too caught up with that Marlowe kid at the party, then was kept busy playing pool with Nile to see you and Mike slip out of the bar together.
It's the only secret you've ever wanted to keep from her. You will take it to the grave.
"I just… I just don't, okay? I get a… Sleazy vibe from all of them."
You really don't. Not exactly. You're not a big fan of the 'fuck-every-chick-on-capus' mentality, but most college boys think like that. Only difference is these three can actually achieve it.
Hitch crosses her arms over her chest and gives you a look you've seen on your mother's face many times, usually when she has a point to prove.
"You know I'm just gonna keep bothering you until you come to one, so why not just get it outta the way?"
And, there's that point.
"Ugh." You know she's right, and you really can't put up with this all semester. "Fine, but I'm gonna bitch the entire time."
Hitch squeals and claps, bouncing where she stands. "Yes! Wouldn't have it any other way."
You dress in school colors, put your hair up so that it won't be on your neck as the sun beats down, then take Hitch's little hatchback to the field. You try to talk her into sitting toward the back of the crowd that's gathered on the bleachers, but she just pulls you to the front without acknowledging your request.
Even with the helmets, you can easily make out who's who, mostly because of their size. Mike and Erwin are doing some kind of pregame ritual where they hit their sticks together, shout something, and chest bump. It's the most alpha thing you've ever fucking seen and makes you question why you ever thought screwing one of them was a good idea.
To be fair, you never really did think it was a good idea. It just kind of happened. Three times.
But, it needs to stop.
You repeat that thought to yourself as you watch Mike sprint across the field and launch the ball into the goal several times. You repeat it as he dances around his opponents with ease, quick footwork until he can throw them off. You repeat it as he stands on the sidelines and takes his helmet off to shake out sweaty hair and squirt water into his mouth.
And, none of it really helps. Mike is pretty incredible on the field, especially with Erwin and Nile backing him up. Everyone in the stands is screaming, yelling their names and chanting. It's a little contagious, you have to admit. You get as far as clapping but refuse to actually cheer.
At some point, Erwin jogs over to the bleachers and waves his arms for everyone to get louder, and they sure do. Even through his helmet, you can see his sparkling white smile, and your own lips curl up as you shake your head at him. Unbelievable. He has all these people at his beck and call.
Erwin has to get back on the field, though, fueled by the crowd like the other nine players. They end up pulling ahead of the other team and finishing the game eleven to seven.
Naturally, Erwin announces a party at the Pike house, and naturally, Hitch drags you to it.
This one is even bigger than the last. It offends every one of your senses—too loud, alcohol permeating the air, bad drinks, worse dancing, and strangers rubbing against you as you pass them.
You give up on your beer before you’re even halfway through with it, just set the can on one of the counters and start milling around. You’d rather be anywhere else but here. Your head hurts from the game earlier, baking in the sun and not drinking enough water. Should’ve taken an Advil… And some Benadryl. Hitch wouldn’t have been able to bring you here if you’d been unconscious.
All of the lacrosse team is there, flanked with guys who won’t stop slapping them on their backs and girls who won’t stop batting their eyes and squeezing their biceps. It’s comical, really, the fairweather trend. There’s no way this would be happening if they’d lost their last three games. Instead, the team would be getting harassed and pestered, not so subtle comments about practicing more and replacing members. You’ve seen it all before.
Leaning against a wall, you watch it all unfold. It’s probably the most entertaining thing at the party other than the group of sorority girls dancing on a table. Things are getting out of hand already, and you would prefer not be here for the aftermath, but just as you're about to leave, Mike breaks away from the group and strides over to you.
“Hey, didn’t expect to see you.” He takes a sip from his cup, smiling around the rim.
You use your usual excuse: “Hitch,” and he nods.
“Right. Did you watch the game today?”
Crossing your arms, you mumble a, “Yes,” that Mike can’t hear but can definitely see.
He beams then asks, “You gonna tell me I played well? ‘Cause I did.” He’s all cocksure and giddy, and it makes your body run hot in a few different ways.
“I don’t think you need anyone else fawning over you,” you say with a condescending laugh.
“You mean you don’t want me to flex for you?”
“I’m leaving. Right now." When you push past him a little too roughly, it causes him to drop his cup, and your shirt is suddenly plastered to your chest and stomach. The white isn’t discolored, which leads you to believe, “Fuck, is this just straight vodka?”
“No, Christ,” he cringes at your wet state, looking genuinely apologetic. “It’s just water. Sorry.”
You scrunch your top up to wring it out, wondering what he’s doing drinking water instead of liquor, but you’re not about to pick on him for staying hydrated.
“It’s fine. I was about to leave anyway.”
He’s quick to stop you with a, “No, don’t. Just… change into one of my shirts or something."
Narrowing your eyes, you contemplate how many ways this can go wrong, how much you should not allow this, and even go as far as accusing, "You're just trying to get me in your room again."
"You wanna stay in a wet shirt?" Not really. "Come on."
He jerks his head toward the hallway, and you end up following him, grumbling the whole time because you swear to God if you end up on your back for him again, you're going to be very upset with yourself.
Mike beelines it for his dresser as soon as you're in the room, much quieter than the rager outside. He digs around in it, flipping all the way to the bottom then pulls out a heather gray tee.
"It'll probably still be a little big, but it's from high school, so you shouldn't drown in it."
He tosses it to you then, to your surprise, turns back to the wall to give you the privacy to change. You eye him the whole time, peeling off your top as well as your bra since it soaked through. His shirt still covers your little shorts, and you assume you look a lot like one of those sorority girls, but it's good enough, has that super soft feeling from being worn too much.
"Thanks. You can, uh… You can turn around now."
Mike looks over his shoulder, like he's making sure you're decent, then turns around fully.
"I was trying to get outta there anyway. Spilling a drink on you was a good excuse."
You open your mouth, choking on a scoff, then ask, "Did you do that on purpose?"
"No! It really was an accident. I'm glad it was just water, but I still feel bad."
You're squinting at him, but now you're curious about something else.
"Why'd you wanna get away from the party?"
Sighing, Mike shows a tired smile. "Honestly, I'm still worn out from the game. I'm already sore and covered in these god damn bruises. I just wanna relax."
"If you're covered in bruises, I can't imagine how the other team feels. You smacked the shit outta some of 'em."
"So, you were watching."
"I may have glanced up once or twice," you lie. "Anyway, why don't you just hide out in here?"
He shrugs his shoulders. "Erwin insisted I show my face, and I didn't want him to give me shit about being a recluse."
You can relate. It's why Hitch drags you everywhere. You wouldn't even leave your dorm for classes if you didn't have to.
Still. "Dude. You're definitely not a recluse. You're fucking everywhere. All the time."
"So? I can get tired too."
He's got a point.
"Can we just chill in here for a while?" He asks you.
"Why do you need me to chill? You basically just said you needed a break from social interaction."
"Yeah, but not all social interaction," he corrects with a small grin. "Please? I've got movies and video games, Zelda and shit."
Again, the contemplation kicks in, all the pros and cons. You know very well what this can (will) lead to, but you also want to escape the party. And, if Hitch whines about you leaving, you can tell her you were there the whole time. Not like it's a lie.
"Fine, but I have some stipulations."
"Oh, do you?"
"I do."
Mike waves a hand for you to go on. "Let's hear 'em then."
Holding up one finger, you tell him, "You have to let me snoop around your room—" he laughs. You lift another finger, "—and we are not, under any circumstances, having sex."
"Deal."
You tilt your head, taken aback at how quick he is to agree. "Wait, seriously?"
"Seriously. Go ahead. I'll pull up Hulu."
You hum, still suspicious, but start making your rounds, taking in photos from what you assume to be the high school soccer team he played on, then a fishing trip with Erwin, a middle-aged couple with a dog, and some pinned up tickets to sporting events he's attended.
He has a bookshelf against a wall, textbooks at eye level, but the top and bottom shelves are filled with sci-fi and fantasy novels that make you smile. His TV is fairly large, big enough to see the picture from his bed which is also sizable and draped with a plush comforter. The last thing that catches your eye is his closet, halfway open and full of jerseys and Polos. A few different pairs of shoes sit at the bottom, but pushed all the way in the corner are a few boxes of fucking Magic the Gathering cards.
"Oh, man. You really are a closet nerd. Like, literally."
"Huh?" Mike looks over at where you're kneeling, realizes what you're looking at and actually sounds self-conscious when he admits, "Yeah, uh, I wasn't joking the other day."
"I've never played—too technical for me—but my friends in high school did."
"There are baseball cards back there too if that makes me any cooler."
"It doesn't," you say bluntly before straightening up and reaching to shut the door to his room. Plopping down on the floor next to him (where he was smart enough to sit), you add, "But even I can admit it's kind of endearing."
"Oh yeah?" He glances at you out of the corner of his eye, that stupid lopsided grin on his too-handsome face.
"Don't get cocky, Zacharias."
"You wouldn't let me if I wanted to."
Both of you agree to a Batman movie, and you make yourself comfortable, kicking your sandals off and leaning against the bed behind you. You're a little too aware of Mike's body beside yours, but you're able to ignore it for the most part, keeping a few inches between your arms and legs. Of course, he still brushes against you when the movie ends and he takes the time to stretch. His shoulders roll, making his shirt strain over his back, and when he holds his arms out, linked at his fingers, you can't help but take a quick look at his bulging biceps.
"Fuck, I'm gonna feel like garbage tomorrow," he complains. You can see the bruises littering his arms, some of them thick lines while others are almost perfectly circular from where he was hit with the end of a lacrosse stick.
"You have any classes?" You ask.
"Just my ten o'clock and three o'clock."
You make a noise of acknowledgement then fall silent. You're not sure how to hold a conversation with him that isn't sarcastic or snippy since you haven't actually done a lot of talking in the first place.
"Sucks," is all you can come up with.
"It's alright. I've probably dealt with worse."
"Probably?"
"Well, nothing really comes to mind, but I'm sure I have."
You should get going. It's late, and you have a nine AM tomorrow. Plus, the longer you sit next to Mike, the more ideas pop up in your head. Dirty ideas. Ideas that will leave you disappointed in yourself.
"Well, I'm gonna head back. This has been…" You're unsure of what word to use, don't want to get his hopes up by saying 'fun'.
Mike figures you out and offers, "Tolerable?"
"Yeah, we can go with that. I'll get your shirt back to you sometime soon."
Mike chuckles and gets to his feet. "Just whenever you can." He grabs your wet top from the ground and holds it out to you, then reaches for the door as you slip on your sandals.
You feel him close behind you, close enough for his chest to push against your back when you straighten up. His arm is pressing into your side, hand curled around the knob and twisting it, but he's unable to open the door as you let your head fall against it.
"God dammit."
"Hm?" You can tell he's leaning down because his breath falls just over your ear.
"I said we weren't—"
He cuts you off, "But, you want to."
He's too hot and too smooth, and you can’t stop yourself from turning around and breathing, "Yeah, I want to."
It's different tonight. Mike takes his time undressing you, kissing and sucking your neck, your collarbone, your nipples that pebble against his tongue. It's unnerving even as you squirm and moan.
He eats you out lazily, flattening his tongue against your folds then dipping into your slit so that he can slip into your twitching hole.
When he adds a finger, you immediately grind down on it, silently begging him to work you open enough to take his cock, but he doesn't move any faster, apparently content to just drive you insane.
You're nearly begging by the time he turns you on your side and moves to lay behind you, hiking your leg up and pushing most of his length inside of you in one faultless motion that makes you choke and sob his name.
That stretch is back, delicious as it is painful as he splits you open. His thrusts are the same slow pace, cock dragging against gummy walls as he drapes an arm over you to toy with your swollen clit.
It takes you both longer than usual to come, but when you do, your whole body trembles against him, and you have to suck in several deep breaths until you feel like your lungs start actually filling with air.
Mike paints your back with warm cum, groaning right in your ear as he rubs against you, his cock sliding easily up and down your skin and making more of a mess.
That unnerving feeling blooms in your chest again, crawls up into your throat.
Tonight had been too casual, too natural. The way you hung out and watched a movie was already a little strange. Him fucking you from behind, holding you tight against his body, was too tender. And, now, after he leaves to grab a wet towel and uses it to clean your back, you find yourself searching for words again only to come up with passionate—intimate.
And, words like that scare you.
Your POV
We were now at the restaurant and his daughter was playing with the toys she bought with her. Jaehyun tried to continue to talk to me but I couldn’t find the words to answer him. I was too struck in shock that I didn’t even have an appetite anymore. I looked over at the little girl and seen the similarities between her and Jae. She had his eyes, his smile, even his dimples. I smiled in the direction of the girl who was talking to him.
The waiter brought our food and smiled at Jaehyun. “Is there anything else sir?” She asked a little too flirtatious for me. I shot her a look and she quickly bowed. “Enjoy your food.” She said rushing off. I picked up my fork and cut into my pancakes. I heard him cut up the pancakes for his daughter while he talked and smiled with her. “That’s a big piece!” She said laughing. “Is it? Hmm? You want to eat that piece first?” He asked. “Uh huh!” She said opening her mouth. He fed her the piece and wiped her face off. She giggled and took the napkin, coping him. He laughed and took the napkin from her, feeding her again.
I giggled and ate my food. She then turned to me. “Hi!” She said. I smiled. “Hi!” I replied waving at her. “What’s your name?” She asked. “Y/N. What about your name?” I asked giggling. “My name is Lia! It’s short for Milia.” She exclaimed. I smiled and pinched her cheeks. “You have one pretty name..” I said. “Uh huh! My daddy named me.” She said pointing to him. “He did?” I asked looking at him now. “Mhm. He named me Milia Jung!” She exclaimed.
“That’s beautiful..” I said. She smiled and tapped his hand. “Daddy, pancakes?” She asked pointing to them. “Okay, open wide Lia.” He said. He did the little airplane thing and placed it in her mouth. She giggled and made grabby hands towards him. He took her out of her high chair and placed her in his lap. “Where did you meet Y/n?” She asked. “I met her at school.” He told her as he wiped her face off. “You liked her?” She asked. I continued to eat, avoiding eye contact with him. “I love her..” he said. “More than my mommy?” She asked a little sad. “Yes baby. More than mommy..” He said sighing.
“But mommy said that you said that you were gonna marry her and dump Y/n and that we would all live together.” She said eating eggs off of his plate with her hands. I seen out of the corner of his eye that he was angry. “Mommy said what?” He asked in low voice that scared Milia. I turned around. “Okay..Milia. Do you want me to hold you?” I asked. She smiled and made grabby hands towards me. I quickly picked her up and put her in my lap. “I’ll be back.” He said getting up from the table. “Where is daddy going?” She asked. “Uhh...to the bathroom!” I said. She nodded and began to eat some more.
Jaehyun’s POV
I walked to the bathrooms and called Alexa. I tapped my foot in impatience and waited. She answered the phone. “Mm..Jaeee!” I heard her moan. “What the fuck did you tell Lia?” I asked. “What?” She asked still moaning. “You told my daughter that I was gonna leave Y/N for your ass?!” I exclaimed. “Mhmmm..she needs to know that Y/n is not yours. I am..” she whispered.
She began to moan louder and louder. “I will never leave Y/n for you. I don’t want you anymore. We are over, damn it!” I said. “Growl at me Jae...” she mumbled. I rolled my eyes and hung up on her. I came back to the table to see another person I didn’t want to...Mia...
Your POV
As I was playing with Lia, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see that it was my mom. “Miss me Y/n?” She asked. “Mia get your pregnant self away from me before I make you have miscarriage.” I said. “Oh shut up! You only act tough for Jaehyun.” She rolled her eyes. “Okay well you can go. You’re so irritating.” I said. “Who is this woman, Y/n?” Lia asked. Mia gasped. “Lia? Babygirl, it’s me!! I’m g-“ “Mia!” I heard Jaehyun call. I turned in his direction and smiled. “Hey baby..” She said. “Excuse me?” I said getting up with Lia in my arms. Everyone in the restaurant had stop their movements and watched us. “For the last time, Mia we are DIVORCED!” Jaehyun yelled.
“I don’t care!! You are still mine! You know you shouldn’t be messing around some young whore like Y/n.” “Mia, I’ve told you many times to watch your fucking mouth.” Jaehyun said walking up on Mia. I stopped him. “Jae. Quit it.” I said. “You should have stopped messing with young girls when you stopped messing with Alexa!” Mia exclaimed. “But no...you’re still in your same damn ways. Screwing bitches like Y/n and then getting them pregnant. I know that my girls are gifted with my pussy but you shouldn’t screw them all the time and then dump them with a child to take of!” Mia exclaimed.
Girls?? What does she mean? There’s another one? Jaehyun breathed out and ran his fingers through his hair. He’s pissed. “Okay bitch, you get your ass out of my fucking sight before I raise hell and shut this damn restaurant down.” He snapped. “Daddy!” Lia cried. “I told you Jae! I’m not done yet!” She said. “Get out of here. Now.” I said. She huffed and left the restaurant. “The fuck you all looking at?! Mind your damn business!” He exclaimed. He walked out of the restaurant. “Sorry everyone!” I apologized.
I grabbed my things and Lias and left the restaurant after him. We got in the car and it was dead silent. He had his head in his hand and bounced his leg up and down. “Daddy? Are you mad at me?” Lia asked. He couldn’t answer. I picked her up and put her in my lap. “No..Daddy isn’t angry with you. He couldn’t if he tried. Let’s watch a cartoon huh?” I said to her. She nodded and I pulled out my phone, going to YouTube and watching kid shows. She grabbed my phone and giggled as she watched.
I thought about her clothes and everything and I seen that she didn’t have anything with her. “Excuse me driver? Can you take me to a clothing store?” I asked. He nodded. I turned to Jaehyun and seen him in the same state. “I’m buying Lia some clothes for the trip of course.” I said. He breathed out and handed me his wallet. I took it. “Thanks.” I said.
We finally made it to the store and I went straight to the baby clothes. I looked at the outfits and smiled. “Which one would you like?” I asked holding her and showing her. “Umm...this one!!” She said. I picked up the pink outfit and she grabbed a purple dress. “Ooh! I like this one! It matches one of my dresses I have with me.” I said. She giggled. “What about this...green one?” I asked. She scrunched nose up and pushed it away. “Green icky..” she said. I smiled.
“Yeah, Daddy doesn’t like that green neither.” I said. She’s like Jaehyun so much. “Okay, do you like the white one?” I asked. She gasped and grabbed the dress. “I love white!” She said hugging it. Aww, Jae likes that color too. We chose three more outfits and we went to the shoes. I picked her out three pairs of sandals and some pink shoes to wear. I went to the front and grabbed some diapers and more baby products.
We made it back to the car and Jaehyun was now on his phone. I gave him back his wallet and put Lia in her seatbelt. “Daddy look at my clothes!! Are they pretty?!” She asked waving the bags in his face he smiled and took the bags. “They are so pretty..just like you.” He said pinching her cheeks. She giggled and pulled out the pink dress. “Can I wear this one?” She asked. He nodded. “Sure, do you want me to put it on you now?” He asked her taking it. She nodded and held her arms up. I took her out of her seatbelt and he stood her up carefully.
He undid her shorts but she quickly pushed his hands away. “No..” she mumbled. He frowned. “What do you mean no? Let daddy undress you..” He said pulling her little shorts down. After he did, she shrieked and jumped into my lap. “What’s wrong baby?” I asked her. Jaehyun was reaching for her again until he stopped his movements. “Lia...what’s on your legs?” He asked her. I looked down to see that there were burn marks and bruises on her tiny thighs.
I gasped. “Take her shirt off.” Jaehyun said to me. I made quick of her shirt and seen purple bruises on her back. I gasped. “Jaehyun, these are beating marks and cigarette burns!” I said. Lia began to cry. “Mommy angry with me!” She said. “Baby...who did this to you?” He asked. “Mommy angry with me!” She cried again. He picked her up and sat her in his lap. “Tell Daddy who touched you.” He said. “Mommy and her friends...” she mumbled. “What friends?” “Mike and Larry...” She mumbled playing with her fingers.
“THIS BITCH!” He yelled. “STOP THE FUCKING CAR!” He yelled to the driver. “Where does mommy stay?” He asked her. “Ho..twel? Hot..uhh..Ho..yellow?” She mumbled trying to pronounce it. “A Hotel? Okay..” He mumbled. He began to dress her and he had a certain look in his eyes. “Jae..don’t do nothing stupid.” I said. He gave me a look that I knew he was too far out of reach at this point. There’s no stopping him. “Take me to the house we’re staying at please.” Jaehyun said.
We made there and he got out the car. He came back after a few minutes he had came back with black skinny jeans, a black shirt with a black cap and some black shoes on. I know that outfit...I know it well. “Take me to the hotel she’s staying at and take Y/n and Milia around Hawaii afterwards.” He said from the front seat. He turned around and looked at me. “Could you cover her up a little more?” He asked referring to her bruises. I nodded.
We made it to the hotel and by this time, Lia was asleep. I saw Jae pull something from the glove department. As I looked closer, it was gun. I widened my eyes as he cocked it back. “Jaehyun. I said don’t do anything stupid!” I whispered yelled. He turned to me instantly. “No one touches my fucking daughter.” He growled. “But shooting?! That’s not gonna solve anything but get you in trouble or in jail, or worse, prison!!” I exclaimed. “Look when you have your own child you will do anything and I mean anything to get revenge on the ones who touched the most precious thing in your life.” He said.
I shed a tear. “Jae..please.” I begged trying to change his mind. He leaned back and kissed me and kissed Lia on her forehead. “Take them around Hawaii.” He said as he got out of the car. “JAE!” I called. He opened the door to the hotel and walked to the counter. The car then pulled off and I started to think the worst scenarios.
Time Warp - Chapter 1
Read on AO3
"Y'know, Mike Levi is having a house party," Steve says out of nowhere, passing VHS cases between his hands with the steady rasp of whispering plastic. "If you want to go."
"The fuck is 'Mike Levi'?" Billy returns, lounging against the counter with all the aplomb of a movie star standee. Steve's half tempted to stack a bunch of Mad Max tapes around him - and Escape From LA, Terminator, Cobra - and cash in on free subliminal advertising. He might, if the store wasn't deserted. Family Video stays open late, but most of Hawkins rolls its streets up at 9pm.
"Y'know, Jake's little brother."
"...Who's still in high school." Billy removes the cigarette from his mouth just so he can exhale deliberately in Steve's direction. The smoke curls with his unspoken disdain. "You wanna go to a high schooler's house party."
"Not especially," Steve huffs. "But it's not like there's fuck-all else to do. We're gonna have the kids home by eight..."
"You keep saying 'we' like I'm going with you," Billy points out. "I never said I'd go with you."
Steve rolls his eyes, grinning, because he already won this argument. These are the last spasms of a dying man, because Billy is incapable of not bitching. "Whatever, man. You're going with me. It's just a couple hours, anyway."
"They're too old to need chaperones," Billy argues, and Steve shoots him a pointed glance.
"Yeah, and if it wasn't Hawkins, maybe they wouldn't. But it is, so deal." He scoops up the stack of tapes, shuffling them together easily like oversized cards in long-fingered hands, and Billy lets himself be distracted by the movement of those fingers.
"Take Robin," he says absently, drawing smoke into his lungs. "Those fuckin' brats love her."
"Dude, c'mon. She literally took that shift so I could go trick-or-treating. She's working till close." Steve slaps the pile down on the returns cart and eyes him. "Just give it up, man. You're going. Designated babysitter #2. I warned you, a semi-reliable dude with a car is fucking catnip to parents around here."
He heaves a smoky sigh. "I'm not dressing up."
"Yeah, well, I'm with you on that one, but Henderson tells me it's extremely lame not to dress up, even if you're just on chaperone duty. So we're both dressing up. Thought I'd pull my Vecna Mission outfit back together, throw in some aviators, do like a Top Gun thing," Steve reasons.
"Where the fuck is Munson?" Billy asks through his teeth. Still dying, still thrashing against the inevitable. "Why can't he and Cunningham go?"
It's Steve's turn to heave a sigh and eye him. "Cause then he wouldn't have time to prep. Apparently it takes hours to run one of these things." Eddie's planning a special, Party-only D&D session for Halloween night. Dustin has tried begging, bribing, and threatening Steve to get him to play, but he's managed to avoid making any promises. "And Chris is working. She and Rob won't get off until after we're done. But I was thinking, y'know, we drop the kids off at the Wheelers', sit around for a bit, have a beer, pick out our candy tax. Then we can go get the girls and hit the party. I just don't wanna stay in again," he complains, punctuating his grievance with the steady beep of the scanner as he pulls movies out of the return bin. "Monster movie marathons are great for a couple years but I just wanna... I dunno, have some drinks. Be around people. Music."
"Yeeeaaaah," Billy drawls. "Hate to break it to you, Harrington, but your King Steve days are over. You try to hit up a high schooler's house party, they're just gonna think you're in denial about your glory days."
"Dude, it was four years ago!" Steve protests, and Billy shrugs.
"You're gonna be standing in a corner drinking vodka and cherry kool-aid, trying to look cool and actually looking like a has-been. Just the facts," he purrs when Steve opens his mouth, and Steve gives him his best bitch-face. Introducing Billy to Erica Sinclair was a mistake.
"Fine." He slaps another stack of tapes down on the counter. "You got a better idea?"
Billy almost blows it off, but then something sparks and he holds his cigarette between two fingers and exhales slow curls of smoke over his bitten lower lip.
"Y'know something, princess? I just might."
Cathartic- Yellow Metal Lyrics
Heres where I am with the lyrics, I referenced @25Goldenn on twitter for some of it that I couldn’t comprehend.
*music*
0:23
Dark matter, like painted splatters, they fit better, the old saying, the way it goes, better the devil you do then you don’t know. I hit pedals and switch levers, my heart metal, I can't settle, im part trouble, they are not subtle. I fuck good so fuck cuddles, burst bubbles the thrist levels at new heights, i down doubles, and got baked til I felt high, my face puzzled, felt muddled, far strung and your floors woodent, the thought might but the fit wouldn’t. A fortnight
0:46 - 1:00
And I thought right, it’s all bark and no bite, I’m Tony Stark still embarking on a dream, took a bit of time to take darkness from the team. Seen what I saw. Heartless on the sleeve. Tried to burn my wings, so I put them in a piece on my chest , at peace no rest.
1:00-1:15
Flipped this on it’s head. Rip the script up now, flip it don’t pretend, slipping shit again, Fakers all around me, I’ve been living in pretense. Fake friends won’t make amends. There’s no need, these mean comments control the scenes. Attentionseekers, the spine is weakened
1:15-1:24
This family needs, what a family needs, and the planet bleeds, the damaged trees. It’s never leaving til we ascend so fuck the fence, and until they stop killing colour it’s fuck the feds.
1:22 - 1:44
You must be off it, I mean it, you know you ain’t never get with the judging and I used to dread growing my beard too long, never felt I belonged, but it's really long like a minute I ain’t looking to no mans for the limits, They’re feeling timid, I’m telling them who they mimic, why they don't look like a clinic …. Why they don't get no women, Still, we’re just fucking girls, Lost in the wrong world, Jurassic, now to this vermin
1:41-  1: 50
Kicking the game I’m serving, these losers are never learning, my fire is forever burning, adding it to my fuel, seems like I’m always focused on never becoming you, These locals that rob us feeling … was for a reason.
1:52-2:02
I’m seeing my new beginnings, watch out this loser’s winning, and no water is too deep to swim in Like I’m about to see a killing, I’m all the way that and living, flawless and feeling lawless, the prison now to the gimmicks, my vision is set to something,
2:03-:2:20
I’m watching you bitches plummet, no matches here for my cunning, you rappers are feeling done in, switching your genre, running and Running your jaw, stunting, pulling at straws, something  I think you’re a poor effort, deaf and tone deaf and I ain’t treat you separate. Living, I’m in my element, riding it like a … never lose me to fentanyl, scared when I take a benadryl. Keeping it green in general
2:20- 2:46
Think that you remain irrelevant. Look at yourself with reverence, hoping to always elevate. Celibate of these thoughts, killing themselves with sedatives. In comparison to eminem, you’re feeling feminine. Impolitically correct, still dropping on my dick. And I never gave a fuck about what they say abt my shit, I’ve been moving things in my mind like it’s this mountain dew Memories have made me wonder if one day I’m after you. What’s the purpose that you do, is what you're hoping that they learn, i’d like to say i’m done but it’s getting up on my nerves
2:46 -2:55
I’m looking at my life, saying what do I deserve. It’s hard to say I know when I’m walking through the dirt. Talking while you’re nothing I can see for what it’s worth. I’m tired of feeling hurt and I’ve tried enough but nothing works.
2:55-3:40
I’m racking up excuses while I’m slacking off on work. Chit chatting is the usual, talking to this clerk, i beg you don’t include me. I might write it on my shirt so everytime they see me, the oldest know to swerve. SWERVE Life is potent, bits of fucked shit… till they took notice weren’t  no hocus pocus, it was hard work that got me heard so i put in the graph like google maps but the whole earth
… around my door mat, taking over like the drones, rolling dirt up in miles like the water, and exploding like Annas hematoma. Don't need to see a slammer to know that I don't want to go man
I’m a showman. I’m just focused on the drama… like i’ve got my own insurance, show myself the pain, like i boxed it in the frame, if we’re about to talk greatness im great, the way you have to say my name like beyonce
“Say my name”
4:00-4:46
Just a bum with a cigarette, sun coming up, all my thoughts on the internet. Feeling deep, I’m just bored with the silhouette single sec,  get fucked up for the thrill of it . killer streak playing Pacman. Like I came from the Philippines vanilla bean still a thing for the thrill of scene,
Theres a beam, UFO, Leave it well alone  I aint moving, stood still on the peloton, telephone and its always on the dial tone,  it's been a while since i’ve smiled at a milestone, seen a big pile in my mind stone, me against the world on my Jack Jones, Like I’m John Jones, With pictures in the condo, far from John Doe, in the ___, like I'm Johnny Bravo, got pravado, with a small dick sitting in golados, feeling far gone, cuz that last hit was the good shit, was that stay lit
4:48-5:02
You can never take my shit come and get me. On the top floor,  cloud 9, fading, never bailing, felt amazing, inhaling, til my lungs two guns blazing. Overcome all the stunts that I pulled. A suit of just skin and then wool
5:02- 5:17
This life doesn’t give you no armour, a lot of myself can harm ya. I swear on what’s good, that I’m here till they take me. I pray that I’m wrinkled, at least over 80, and start moving like a ruler, ?damaged? Like a computer going fast, bars from the jeweler, bring the songs to the beach in hopes of finding tuna
5:18-5:36
5:36- 6:16
Grab a bat, lose my rag. Couple things got me mad, a couple people got me wrong and now I’m changing up the swag. Coming in and stealing it, I might take the whole bag. Feeling undefeated, I’m a beast with a reason, and imma lead the whole pack. Fearless like I’m Caesar, I’m just waiting for a chance to fill it up with diesel, and all I've been achieving is clocking miles in its region, moving like a legion.
Promise that I made to myself an allegiance. Do you still believe I’m a fool for ever leaving, staring at the ceiling, can never put a cap on achieving. I’m just here for the rap, then I’m leaving.
I’ve had about enough of being my own enemy, it’s time I grew up,  a long way from 17. Always went against the grain, struggles in my life. Got some things to say when I stand up on a mike.
6:16-6:32
I ain’t dropping this for fame, I need this time, like therapy, it’s just to keep me sane. The truth is on my medicine, can’t put that on your plate.
Speeding into everything, bout time I fixed the brakes. Don’t say I can’t communicate , you know I conversate with you in several different ways. And I know you know it’s references, looking at your face.
6:33- 6:53
Can’t justify mistakes, like every man that made them, seems I ain't  the one to blame. Lying to myself, only had so much to gain, so now I’m switching up the plate, see if that affects the place, im at on most days
I ain’t going with the usual so they looking at me strange. Confused, I can feel it all,  I’m here to make a change. It’s cold at 3am outside, I’m walking with the dog, thanking god that you don’t talk at all, my mind is switching off
6:54-7:12
Driving down to find myself, cuz I’ve been getting lost, lived this selfless life and found I can give a toss. Lessons that I’ve learned I’ve tried teaching to myself. What I’ve learnt from certain people is that they’re better than myself.
So I surround myself with real ones, and you feel the plastic melt. Like burning toy soldiers that used to go up on the shelf. Recycle the ideas, conveying on the belt
7:14-7:29
.. circus, always hurting the way we felt? Embarrassed that we dreamt of bigger things and letting go of notions till we feel them in cement
Tired of only hoping, we feel broken men. Cuz the gravity is weight and has kept us to the ground, see the only people speaking with favors in their mouths
7:46-7:58
Got killer rhymes… no fillers, like godzilla, eating clouds cuz my smokes thicker, throat licker, my dope sicker, bringing people their hope like im the pope slicker,  i hope you’re getting the point cuz i walk quicker
I thought my city was shit bcs I want bigger like my zipper couldn’t zip up fed up with the…my love is fickle.. Residual age has a primitive face
I see demise for your limited ways, Left it to simmer, simmer away…a fake glimmer in the haze
8:09-8:11
Feeling trapped this industry is a cage
8:34-8:50
Nobody’s speaking the truth, I’m offended by the State. Look at the state of the news, I’ve decided the argument, reciting my views, while they’ve been sat in their chairs, I’m feeling pressure to choose.
Standing here as one man, how can I do half when you’re half the person I am. If it wasn’t in your life, you didn’t choose it. It’s the funny thing about music. It’s the pain and beauty of it.
8:52-9:11
Don’t give a fuck what my suit is, it looks good so I wear it, better than the shoot that People’s wearing, changing the whole narrative for these basics and scarcity
Been facing the racists from back when i were a kiddie .born up in in 93’. been living in Bradford City..kicked me out of the schools, they had a problem with me hitting the kids that would call me p*** still sitting in the classroom chilling, and i'm angry now that I’m older I see they treat us different
9:12-9:25
got me thinking I’m the problem cuz they never dealt with those issues.
20 years later I’m still in the same boat, tryna treat me like my grandpa, say I came up off the boat. Came to tell you what I stand for, man I think you’re shit, a joke. How can I be civil, when they got me by the throat
9:25-9:35
Pushing my feelings down, you ain’t got it like them
‘Boy your skin is so light’, ok motherfucker take my name up on a flight. Try to convince immigration that your bloodline’s half white.
9:35-9:45
I don’t know how that’s acceptable, when life is more susceptible to perception, be the death of them. I’ve been looking at the sky saying where’s that day of reckoning, you had your prophets right when they say that you would speak to them.
9:45-9:55
I need justice in this life and I trust that it’s my fight, cuz when I’m writing it feels right to have them focused on the facts again. Focused on the rap again, hoping for the change, gunna put this on the map again
9:55-10:16
Writing in all caps again, the pain, it goes through me so I write the letter. All the shit that could have brought me but made me better.
I’m at home with a pain in my soul , yeh rap… cuz you know I was too real to contest it, my time was invested. Now I look at the industry, I see it infested, looking like kids who would write on nesquik.
10:17-10:29
My name ain’t on the list unless they label it ethnic.
I ain’t never gave a fuck about these jokers and jesters. Ain’t no answers for these things, so just save us the questions, man allowed of violence, cuz my silence is deafening, your opinion stinks, somebody get him a breath mint.
10:30- 10:42
Start to understand why they think that I’m threatening, I move in certain ways, couldn’t slow me with ketamine Now they all wanna hear me, got a table at letterman. Direction changed, like I changed up the lettering. Don’t believe the age ,bcs I move like a veteran.
10:42 - 10:47
Raised on the benefit for whose benefit, they’ll never learn shit, man, if the shoe fits.
…no words coming out when you open your mouth
And to be honest, it’s insulting, offensive to my wounds that have been salting. Tryna ask me questions that they know I never answer. I’d rather sit online and reply to the fan art
11:00-11:06
Fuck a sports car, coming through when i rapped
tell you what I like, farm life and the tractor
11:06- 11:17
Fake life, 'sup online, suck a fat one. You don’t wanna buy into that, none of that son. Sitting in the garden 98’ in the Datsun,  seen some hot summers but I still remember that sun.
*music*
11:51- 12:34
I make millions off of my pain, cause I know a few millions still living that way
Dealing with the hurt, they should know cause they don’t deserve it, it hit deep cause i hit the nerve. Only way that the sheep learn if the street firm, in my ways I don’t wanna change, everything just stay the same
Who you tryna convince you understand, cant maintain, let the lights dim some,  get the Chow Mein, flex, get the tape, right up at night
Why these men be nice to my face, be nice,  i ain’t tryna be a gangsta ruins my vibe
Rather be low-key and on my phone. Never need the trophy or the show piece
Never show peace in a North Face fleece. Show kids this like i wrote my flip
Cause the sign might fit till the start i’m sick
12:37-13:05
Now you see where I come from, the world don’t. Only achievement in this life is the Jordans. Committing petty crimes out of boredom, we can’t afford them. So I stole it, need a rolex
Go make sense, get yourself a job, It’s a poor man’s game tryna sit and pray to god, he ain’t sorting out your problems, gotta sort them out yourself
Used to tell us fables, now I’m writing them myself, Cause we raw like animals we all just need some help
Cathartic, I’m an artist, trying to put my heart in
Felt double crossed like Leo in Departed
13:05- 13:27
For the knowledge i’m not charging see I got it all free
But my hunger kept me starving like i’m feening for the feed
I just Need a reason to see me bleeding for my creed. Trick you with the words like I keep em up my sleeve. Picking where I fit, I see me sitting with the queen
I ain’t doing it unless you’re used to saying please
Let me flow a bit, before I sting 'em with the bees, They tryna kill us with disease
(Music)
13:34- 14:12
Why does it feel like they had the same notebook and the same four looks
Like the rain won't touch on their face, so sus when they lie don’t trust not a minor
Please no fuss, I just move through the game like must
Something in the way i adjust till i stick, Free falling like the ship, free fall till i bust
Remember 21 brother gave no fucks. Trying to project when they give them looks
In the projects, in the objects us
In my own way, never gave me love, shoulda never started this, broken hearted kid
Dried up the feeling till I stole the lid
Don’t wanna relish in the fame but I can’t resist
14:46-14:58
I like the way we feel, I like the way, I like the way
Ain’t no mistake, i am a being
I ain’t tryna be a leader, been selling out since Jesus
All my rhymes are for the readers, between the lines, like Father time, I fuck Mother Nature
14:58-15:40
That’s what they get, the connotations. Tell 'em I lived a life, and then I lived a life of adjacent? like its…. and played it patient.
Alone on my own spaceship, always tryna find greatness, still defying lines, but I’m fighting in my prime.
Shining light like Kylo while imma kill it all the time. Aging like I’m wine
Asian in my face, but still my race you can’t define. Focused on defiance, imma fight it while it’s life.
Started something sick and on my mind is what’s next, just became a dad so now I’m taking all the cheques. Better know I’m staying and paying like it’s debt. Imma get it done, if it’s taking all my breath, sweat, and down I ain’t messing around til I’m the best
Speaking in full sentences, shoulda thought about a strategy before you went at the stratosphere about this… rings around Saturn, this ain’t a battle, I’m sat, I’m here
15:40-16:22
Catch me doing magic, hired and sounding tragic I think you could use practice and until that you get the blacklist and pull like a … actress? Fooling them like a catfish, schooling like a legend, happy to be the reference, fusing like iridescence, leaving them all guessing, leaking out of my brain like a pipe I aint fixing, shining like a star you can see it from a distance
Aint many of me around p*** I’m just different Certain stages to this level aint here because fame is to the devil fuck a label, imma do this from the ghetto, clean up like Im Dettol
I’m the man to put a bet on, sight smart like a weapon,  this is my kind of setting, i write the world I’m sat in, while these others live on hype, i see them fight in how they type, the fruit is ripe for the taking, i think i might
16:22-16:57
Let me take you away from here, Let me take you away from here, Let me take you away from here
16:58- 17:47
Eccentric things are mentioned like a kid stuck in detention tryna escape im just spitting what is written on the next page, spitting image of my dad in his young days
Born sinner when i’m livid i say fucks sake
Don’t worry i’m too cunning with no plumbing, the waterworks, i sung something that resonates, i thought it first like giving birth to the parrot perch
They see me do it and they know it works
Don’t know what’s worse: the way that you live your life or the way that you write a verse
You’ll be nervous, you don’t deserve it we’ll scratch the surface ill leave a crater, lift the dirt up to find the hurting
Can’t know for certain nothing is guaranteed, tryna be a better person than the world deserves to see cuz i see a lot of sharks still swimming in the sea
Cease and arrest what’s the reason.. And these the kinda kids we bringing up next
Distorted reality, all they needed was family, too hard to face, to see what the damage is
17:47
*i don’t wanna be, i don’t wanna be, a part of this, no, i don’t wanna be, i don’t wanna be, a part of this, *
18:04-18:38
Sometimes they ask the questions too deep to form a sentence, to disform, is this the norm, is this the sentence i feel defenseless i played the setlist, and all my sweat blood and tears, forgot to mention feeling lost, going off into different sections i feel like love wrecked it
If it’s not a drug why am i waiting for the next fix, affected, i cant believe that you left this
I guess I leave for the best wish, moving on like im fine for the lectures
We see it all from spectrums, cuz if we’re falling down we can fall down together
Staircase to heaven, mirror down the middle like 11, resentment on one side it won’t settle
18:38- 19:14
Mind fried but taking sense, they aint got a sense of themselves in the rich ends
Need to spell it out for them.. Made for them so witness
I know you feel afflicted but you always love it with me while im laughing at you, ya think you’re laughing with me
I try to (i love you) but im grown so they don’t fit me, my body thrown from the new to this old city so Im sick of sitting on my own, feeling so shitty, i’ve been on roads where its cold and the snow hitting
Its okay to be yourself, sit and talking to myself
I’ve been walking for the longest, just need a little rest, know i ain’t the strongest, I can feel it in my chest, talking about my feelings and of me, they get the best
19:14-19:59
They aint leaving, seeing breathing in my breath
Till death do us part is just seeded in my heart, like a work of art
Never winning,im just scared
Cant begin from the start, do i play a part in the rhythm of the night
I guess i’m onto something cuz the dark is feeling right
Every cloud got a lining, put my own miles  in, like moralis, figured that they’re jealous, that they could just never tell us to change because the weather never made me question whether or not i’m not that level
Got rid of all the bullshit sitting in my way, most of them are full of shit i see it every day
I do hearing the same things that i do, maybe that shits hitting like haiku
How much do you pay for them to hype you
Recycle your flaws but they aint like new, leaving and conceded and full of diesel like engines that need a cleaning, the ending will be revealing. Even though we ain’t raising the facts, now we been facing.
20:01-20:52
The cactus with spikes, needing spaces. Different faces, the same story. A full body like straight body direct to your system.
Could never tell 'em we missed’ em. Not even with the thoughts, we gift them. Cuz they just take advantage, guess we are caught in a system.
My soul pouring out details of borrowed time, had enough of a fill, this is for sorrow time. I’m seeing visions of Heaven, I seen the severed line, between the gospel they speak and when theyre telling lies.
Remember telling a friend of mine, you’d sent of mine, identified like a 3rd eye. Got a habit of knowing now where the dirt lies. So benign. I ain’t sober after 9, so I fuck their minds. Why you flipping out, see another
Try to rep it from the city, fuck a chiller crew, repping for the nittys, trying to keep us down, raised on the social, don’t want to let us out of the system. Me, I insist we assist them, me alone putting shifts til I lift them
20:53-21:12
I know it’s hard, that’s why I like it, I’m fit to fight it, I’m from the North, I’m backing Tyson, it’s been decided, don’t see no light. They needing guiding, just redefining, realizing, I’m realigning, in full finance, they stay silenced.
Can’t be louder, I’m juiced up with no powder. I fix shit like a slick spanner. Gone green like Bruce Banner. So free Gaza on my banner
21:12-21:51
The real McCoy, I ain’t nothing to toy with, signifying peace like a Japanese Koi Fish. How did this happen, we’re moving backwards in our timeline, killing us with cyanide, Right up for the freedom 'til we transform like Ironhide
This is bout my feelings, the way that I move affects the fate that I’m sealing. Can’t say nothing, with that something being on the page, kept inside the pen like the bars that have been kept caged. See I always had a plan, since I was young, we had nothing man
Now it’s been a few years since I ain’t seen the fam, on foreign lands. Bout to climb Everest in the avalanche. Right into the riddles as soon as you were born. Never asking the question cuz it’s the norm. See I’m in a questionin’ session
21:52-22:03
Like the manner got a method to teaching a lesson, listen to MF Doom, he taught me like Ra’s Al Ghul. Felt like living in Gotham, the people were rotten. Still we play cartoons so it’s never forgotten.
22:03-22:15
Chilling at the top but we came from the bottom. Writing and jottin for them life by, spotting the difference
*Dreams, was growing out of me, sun promising that tomorrow it will rise, time playing games with my mind, I swear it will pass us by
Train goes on the tracks, smoke, I’m tired to hide my thoughts, so blinded in flames, Don’t know where we’re going, I have no way of knowing, only see what’s in my head
Can’t we wait a minute, so we can savour this, It’s on my brain again, these days, It on my brain again these days”
23:10-23:46
They’re hating on Palestine ways, The oh no Palace playing Prince on the Steinway, Sending out mind waves, stop them like crimewaves, Freedom fighter, Yellow Metal is my name
Like vipers, I see the sly ones, the snake that’s called Biden, none of them abiding what they might put in writing
We should be used to it by now, say whatever for the vote and then just choose another route, say they’d never kill another unless that brother’s skin is brown
I’m just telling you the facts, if you can’t take it, the truth naked, to bare bones and my thoughts lately, spitting politics.. Done ain’t it, Shit just gets me vexed, and now I’m sitting that I think of it
23:45-23:59
Feeling on the brink of it, whatever it is, Figure out some shit at least it feels that way
talk about my feelings and I don’t feel so strange, finding solace, that’s a promise, in Metropolis but being honest, can’t write a sonnet, without some pain
24:00-24:40
Can’t fade away, away so we can savour this, been on my brain again these days
Can't find a way to be so you can savour this, been on my brain these days
Singing the song for another, singing a song for another
I don’t care what anyone says Goth kids 3: Dawn of the posers is one of the best episodes of South Park here is my favorite quotes from that episode
Obviously some trigger warnings
“Like calling mommy ‘Demon jizz’”
Just the whole scene at CPS
“Emo’s suck my goth balls”
“This fucking bitch man”
“What if she comes back and she’s all preppy and conformist?”
“They made her EMO”
“I’d rather kill myself then put on gym clothes”
“Then why are you listening to Sunny Day real-estate?”
“Maybe that place turned you emo on purpose.”
“Soon the entire world will be emo it is our time”
“No waaaaay”
*Pete’s ringtone*
“YOU FUCKING CONFORMIST”
“Pete if they get me and I come back emo. Kill me. Promise me that you’ll kill me.”
“Not now lady we’re really depressed”
“I am Mike your lord and dark master , per say.”
“You spat on me Larry >:(“
“We realized we called you all queer-mo’s and burned down the hot topic”
“Shut up Mike listen”
“Are you guys going to the fall out boy concert?”
“She didn’t call me a bitch and she actually apologized to me!”
*Mike and Larry rise to the window*
“Edgar Allen Poe was the original vamp kid”
“Emo? Ugh emos are such wannabe conformists.”
“Is that red hair dye or did a blood demon take a shit on your head? Poser.”
“Let’s go fight the emos MOM!”
“Emos are plants?!”
*Plant shake*
“Put it out Edgar it’s annoying everybody”
“I like to be called by my goth name: Nightpain”
“Oh fuck off nightpain”
*Kicks plant and does a karate pose*
“We might as well join them.”
“God he is such a downer!”
“Ok I’m here posers.”
“Really? Shoot a plant?”
“This said it was bought a Lowe’s home a garden for $29.95.”
“I turned Traitor for no reason?!”
“The plants you think that took over your body and turned you emo. There just plants. From Lowe’s home and garden.”
“Shut up mom! You conformist bag of demon jizz!”
(I had no clue this would be this long)
Words: 2550 Remember when I said these were gonna be drabbles… also Nick, Rafael, Mike & Kat are in this because I love them all thx for coming to my ted talk
‘how is my wife more badass than me?’
Tumblr media
You groaned as you rolled over to Liv’s side of the bed to turn the blaring alarm off. It took a lot of effort and tries but you eventually managed to turn it off with a huff. You wrapped the blanket around you, closed your eyes and snuggled into Liv’s pillow. You peeped an eye open when you heard Liv chuckle.
“What” you mumbled
“You are just adorable” Liv smiled from the doorway to your bathroom
“Why are you out of bed?” you whined rolling onto you back
“Because although it is your day off my love, it is not mine” Liv said and headed back into the bathroom to continue getting ready.
“But the alarm only just went off. If I’m going to be woken up early on my day off a mere five hours after getting home from my shift, I should get cuddles” you demanded. “I’m not joking” you said as Liv laughed at you. You sat up slightly when you noticed your bedroom door slowly open “here’s my cuddles”
“y/n” Noah ran up and jumped onto the bed and got straight into your arms
“Hello sweet boy, how do you have so much energy at 6 in the morning” you grinned smothering his face with kisses. Noah’s laugh had to up there as one of your favourite sounds, so pure, so innocent. Liv leant against the door frame and watched the two of you together. She had been so nervous when the two of you had started dating about how Noah would take to you, but from the moment he met you, he was glued to your side and you were wrapped around his little finger. Even now, two years into your marriage and nothing had changed.
“See this could have been all yours but now Noah gets all the cuddles” you squeezed him a little tighter making him giggle.
“Alright you two” Liv playfully rolled eyes “Come on Noah let’s get you ready for school before Lucy gets here”
“Nooooo”
“Yesssss” Liv teased him
“But I wanna stay with y/n”
“I can get him ready” you said with a yawn
“The only thing you are going to do is go back to sleep” Liv said
“But-“
“No buts. You didn’t get home until 1am you need to sleep my love” Liv pecked your lips and reached out to Noah, who just snuggled into you “Noah” he whined again. Your schedule had been all over the place lately. You had been doing doubles and night shifts for the last few weeks, you had barely seen Liv let alone Noah, it was no wonder he was clinging to you
“Go on sweet boy, I promise I’ll be there to pick you up after school” you kissed his forehead
“Promise?” He asked holding his pinkie up. You wrapped yours around his.
“Pinkie promise. 3 o’clock. I’ll be there” with the promise of seeing you later agreed on Noah left.
“Get some sleep my love” Liv smiled kissing you again before turning off the lights leaving you to catch up some much-needed rest.
Tumblr media
When you woke up again it was nearly 11am. You jumped up pottered around the house, cleaning up Noah’s toys, putting away any dishes and things that were lying around and doing some laundry. These were your favourite type of days, where you just chilled at home, cleaned and were able to do things at your own pace.
“To what do I owe the pleasure Captain” you grinned, answering your phone
“Do I need a reason to call my wife?” Liv asked. You could basically hear her rolling her eyes.
“No, but it is out of the ordinary”
“What are you doing?” Liv asked, changing the subject
“Just about to leave actually, going to meet Jas for lunch at the café down the street. Even put on jeans for the occasion” You locked the door as you headed out to meet your friend.
“Wow fancy…” she trailed off and you could hear her talking to Sonny and Amanda
“How busy are you today?” you asked when you heard her lift her phone back to her ear
“You don’t even want to know… that’s why I called I doubt I’ll be home for dinner”
“It’s okay- “
“No, it's not” Liv cut you off with a frustrated sigh “I need to be home more, I need to spend more time with you and Noah and- “
“And you need to work. Because it’s what you love, because you are helping the people that need it. You are a good police officer, the best actually. Noah and I can handle a few late nights. Besides Noah needs something to be mad about when he’s a teenager” you joked. You smiled as you heard Liv chuckle a little. You hated how much pressure put on herself to be perfect at everything.
“Have I ever told you how much I love you?” Liv asked
“Once or twice but I’ll never grow tired of hearing it”
“I love you”
“I love you too, I’ll see you when I’m looking at you, be safe”
“Always”
“You know you have a stupid look on your face” your friend and co-worker Jas said as you met out the front of the café while hanging up the phone
“It’s called love, you should try it sometime” you teased
“No thank you” Jas replied with a laugh. The two of you sat in the busy café and caught up on everything outside of work. Jas told you about one of the many guys she had on the go at the moment, you gushed about Liv and Noah.
“I mean seriously if I could I’d shove my foot where the sun doesn’t shine” Jas huffed bitching about one of your co-workers.
“I should probably go, need to run a couple of errands before I pick up Noah” You looked at your phone double-checking the time, an hour before you had to get Noah. You and Jas went to stand up when all hell broke loose. Everything changed in a split second. One moment you were sitting there with your friend having an amazing day and the next you were hiding under a table as a man held the café at gunpoint.
“NOBODY MOVE” he screamed turning in a circle with his gun pointed and ready to shoot. “NO ONE MOVES NO ONE CALLS THE COPS” You slowly and quietly got your phone out.
“What are you doing?” Jas whispered, her voice shaking in fear “did you not just hear him?”
“There’s no way I’m not texting Liv” you huffed
Tumblr media
Liv sighed as she waited for the coffee machine to brew a new jug. Her eyes felt like they were going to fall out after all the paperwork she had been doing all day. All her detectives had been out either talking to victims or following leads so all she had done today was sit at her desk and do paperwork and reply to emails. Picking up her cup, Liv headed back out to the squad room as she heard everyone return. As Amanda was filling everyone in on the lead that she and Sonny had been following when everyone’s phone buzzed, and officers began moving.
“Café being held at gunpoint” Fin frowned
“Unknown gunman, unknown reason” Kat read from her phone
“I wonder which one” Sonny thought aloud
“Café 98” Liv almost threw her coffee on the nearest desk running into her office to grab her gun and badge.
“How do you know?” Fin asked
“Y/n is there”
Tumblr media
Half an hour had passed, you could now hear the sirens of police officers in the distance, Liv responded and told you she was on the way and it was going to be okay. It was only words, but you’d be lying if you said it didn’t make you feel better. The gunman was shouting at the café workers, blaming them for everyone being taken hostage because they didn’t give him money. You took deep breaths and tried to stay calm. The café phone rang, then again and again.
“Someone shut that fucking phone up!” the man yelled
“It’s going to keep ringing” your mouth said before your mind could stop you
“What was that bitch?” He started moving towards you. You slowly stood up, hands in the air.
“The p-phone. It’s the police. They want to talk, and they are going to keep calling until you answer” you stuttered, your confidence slowly falling.
“How would you know?” He sneered “you a cop?”
“No!” you quickly exclaimed “uh no I’m not but I am married to one. My wife is the captain at the 16th” you pulled your phone out of your pocket to show him your lock screen. It was a picture of you and Liv – her in her uniform - when she promoted to captain.
“You answer it then” he motioned with the gun towards the phone. You slowly walked over to the counter, focused on the man and the gun and picked up the phone.
“Hello” you said
“Hello, this is Captain Mike Dodds who is this?” you breathed a sigh of relief at the familiar voice.
Tumblr media
Olivia jumped out of the car at the scene, almost before Fin had actually stopped the car. It was chaos. Uniforms were holding back the public as well as journalists. There were lights flashing and being screaming. Olivia could hear people asking if it was a terrorist attack but right now, she didn’t care about motive, all she wanted was to get you out of there. Flashing her badge, she and the rest of the squad were let through and they headed towards ground zero.
“Who’s in charge?” Liv asked a nearby uni who pointed her in the direction. She had a small smile when she saw Mike and Nick hunched over a table. “Captain Dodds, Sargant Amaro”
“Liv” the pair frowned “what are you guys doing here? This is major crimes’ not svu”
“y/n is in there” Fin said
“So what do you know?” Liv asked
“Not a lot. No contact has been made yet. We’re about to try again” Nick said as Mike lifted the phone to his ear.
“Hello, this is Captain Mike Dodds who is this?” Mike asked, his eyes met Liv and he quickly put the phone onto speaker. “y/n is anyone hurt?
“No, no one is hurt. There’s probably about 30 of us in here” hearing your voice was music to Liv’s ears. Mike asked you a few more questions, not that you were able to give him much more information.
“Mike, I need you to tell Liv someone has to get Noah, I was supposed to pick him up from school and he’s going to be so upset if I’m not there” Liv turned to her squad, she hadn’t even thought of Noah.
“I’m on it” Sonny nodded pulling his phone out and moving away from everyone.
Tumblr media
The fact that Mike was the person on the other end of the line made you a little less anxious. You tried to give him as much info as possible, but the gunman was not giving you anything, he wouldn’t even tell them what he wanted.
“Mike, I need you to tell Liv someone has to get Noah, I was supposed to pick him up from school and he’s going to be so upset if I’m not there and-“
“Alright that’s enough” the gunman grabbed the phone out of your hand and hung up. You quickly moved back to your spot under the table. The gunman was growing anxious, pacing around the room, it was clear he didn’t have a plan.
“There’s a back door” Jas whispered “a few of us could get out”
“I’ll distract him”
“I think Liv would kill me if I left you in here” Jas huffed
“If you get out the police can get it, she’ll live with it” you slowly stood back up “you should really stay away from the windows”
“What?” the man spat at you
“The police, they’ll be looking for a spot for a sniper to take you out” you walked towards him, moving around so he kept his eyes on you. Jas and a couple others started to creep towards the door. You were racking your brain trying to remember everything Liv had ever told you about hostage situations.
“Shouldn’t you stay away from the windows to then?”
“My wife’s a cop. You don’t think she’s out there?” you chuckled “And the guy on the phone before? He was her number 2 not too long ago, he got promoted not too long before my wife, he goes to my son’s dance recitals, he’s not gonna let anything happen to me. I doubt there is an officer that doesn’t know what I look like. They aren’t going to shoot me, but they will shoot you” your eyes swept the room quickly, Jas was out.
“Then maybe I should just shoot you” he held the gun to your face. You held your breath and closed your eyes. You thought of Liv and Noah and how much you loved them. Suddenly the back door opened and your eyes shot open.
“NYPD!” the gunman’s attention turned to the police officers, then, without thinking you grabbed the gun and his arm, flipping him to the ground. You quickly ripped the gun from his hand and took it apart.
“Seems you learnt some tricks over the years” Mike grinned coming up to you as one of the other officers handcuffed the man. You wrapped your arms around him and relaxed, you were okay, everyone was okay.
“She’s out there right?” you needed your wife right now
“did you expect her to be anywhere else?” Nick smirked joining you and Mike. He wrapped his arm around you too “took almost everyone to keep her from busting through the door herself” you grinned at that. Classic Liv. Mike and Nick lead you out the front door of the café. The moment you stepped out you found Liv. She was standing with Jas and the rest of the squad. Her eyes locked with yours and you thought you were going to start crying. The two of you ran to each other, throwing your arms around the other.
“Oh my love” Liv squeezed you “are you okay? Are you hurt?”
“I’m okay” you whisper into her neck
“She’s more than okay” Mike said, you pulled back from Liv’s arms. The rest of the squad joined you. “not only did she distract him to get those guys out, when we came in she grabbed his gun and disarmed him”
“Nice” Kat grinned, clearly impressed
“How is my wife more badass than me?” Liv grinned and kissed your forehead
“Learnt from the best” you responded “Noah…”
“All covered, Raf’s got him” Sonny said “He’s no y/n but I’m sure Noah was just as excited to see Uncle Rafa”
“Probably more” you laughed, you grabbed Liv’s hand and squeezed “Let’s go see our son”
“Anything you want my love” Liv kissed your lips “I’m so proud of you”
don’t go
A post-canon/canon divergence Climbing Class fic. Read on AO3 here. Does not name the monsters from UD.
The thing is, Chris never believed in ghosts.
Past tense, because though Ouija boards are definitely still bullshit, flesh-eating nightmares who are his friends from beyond made his internal perspective change, a little. Less focused on Ashley (now happily dating Sam, who'd have thunk), less focused on cleverness, less focused on everything other than survival.
The problem with that is, survival is way, way less of a concern everywhere else.
No matter how much Mike asks, Chris won't go to the gym, won't go running with Sam. Instead, he goes to the gun range and shoots, practices with a dozen different guns until he can hit a target from as far as they'll let him try. Someone asks him if he wants to go hunting, and he says, "No, thanks. I don't have the stomach for it." With a practiced, self-deprecating grin and a little anecdote about getting sick in health class after watching Supersize Me (but hey, he'll still eat fast food!), they just laugh, clap his shoulder, and say, "Well, maybe next time."
Chris knows now how to hunt. He won't go because he doesn't want to go back to the mountain, but if something happens, if Jess ends up going on her expedition to find Emily's remains like she keeps talking about, if any circumstance happens that'll force him back out of his safety, he'll be ready. He has a dozen books on how to skin and prepare wild game, has a YouTube watch history that he probably shares with a future serial killer, is slowly working his way through quizzes on edible plants in the area he can forage.
Two weeks after the mountain, his friends all found it normal. Six months after the mountain, he worries he's the only one still caught up in it.
Sam's still going out in wilderness semi-regularly, albeit with so many protein bars in her bag that she could feed a small army. Mike throws himself into whatever the hell project he's involved with. (Chris and Ashley make a point of not asking about it, just to see his face turn red.) Jess rock climbs now, but however it started, now she just seems to be having fun, and Chris doesn't want to ruin the mood by asking why she's doing it. Ashley writes, poems and prose and articles, jumping on their fifteen minutes of fame to get a foot in the door of publishing.
Josh doesn't do much of anything.
They'd found him next to the bodies of Matt and Emily and Jack Fiddler, emaciated and staring at the bodies with a hunger that had caused all of this. (Chris assumes. He wasn't there, wouldn't have been there even if he'd known he would have found Josh okay. He wasn't brave before, let alone now.)
His parents won't let him keep a handgun in the house, so he moves.
Finding an apartment is hard. Nothing to do with the publicity or lack of options or even money; he just is picky. It needs good WiFi, because he's still Chris Hartley. It needs a room without windows, easily defensible and big enough to be able to stockpile food. It needs walls that aren't painted a sickly green color that he jokes is scarier than the idea of going back.
justgidding: Terrible joke!
justgidding: Even if it wasn't in bad taste, it's just not funny.
sn0wflakequ33n: I thought it was funny Chris
gogogadget: thank you jess
screamking: Oh bro is that that place on Hilda St?
screamking: I looked at that place when I was trying to find a place
screamking: Definitely the worst
ladykiller: why did you move out, rich boy? don't you have like six bedrooms in your old place?
sn0wflakequ33n: don't be a dick, mike
smartcookie: Eh
smartcookie: Not the most dickish thing one of us has done this year
justgidding: Okay guys, let's not bring this up over TEXT!!
sn0wflakequ33n: why do you hate the internet sam
smartcookie: I always forget how much of a Luddite you are, babe
ladykiller: i don't know what that means
gogogadget: i feel like we've gotten farther from the point
gogogadget: which is how ugly these walls are
So, yeah. Apartment hunting. Would it be weird to ask Josh what place he found? He needs to move if he's gonna get a gun, and while he knows logically it's not going to help and that he's not in danger, he's pretty sure just having it around would be great for his peace of mind.
Also in the case of monster attack, but at this point, preparedness for monster attacks and his peace of mind are pretty much one and the same. Not only correlational but causal relationship.
gogogadget: josh dyou mind sending me the address?
screamking: Why, you coming over?
gogogadget: trying to find a place
gogogadget: or are you still looking?
screamking: Nah, here
screamking has sent you their location!
---
Chris is sure that the place Josh's sent him will be too expensive, because Chris is comfortable, but Josh is. Well. His family owned a mountain (past tense). But as it turns out, if he moves in now in February rent is cheaper for as long as he lives here. It's still a lot, but it's at the very upper range of his budget rather than completely out of it.
They don't allow pets, but they do allow (legal) guns, and Chris signs the lease right after seeing the place. The property manager seems thrilled, but Chris doesn't really care why; he's just glad to have a place.
Sam and Ashley are the only two friends available to help him move, though Ashley mostly just picks through his books. Chris doesn't have a ton of stuff, and the only really heavy things are the one box of books and his PC. It takes one trip in just the one car and then he's in his apartment, alone.
Unpacking takes the better part of a couple days, but that's mostly just building furniture and setting up his food stores. The place doesn't quite feel like his, but he's alright with that. It feels safe, and that means a lot more.
His neighbor keeps thudding against the wall, though, and at 2am, when it wakes Chris up, he bangs back in annoyance.
"Sorry," his neighbor calls.
"...Josh?" Chris responds.
"Oh, what?" Josh says, and then Chris' phone lights up.
gogogadget: dude what the fuck
screamking: My bad, dude
screamking: Won't happen again
gogogadget: look as long as it's not ghosts i'm okay lol
screamking: I've got some bad news for you
gogogadget: JOSH WE TALKED ABOUT PRANKS
He can hear Josh laughing from across the wall, and Chris texts back a bunch of middle finger emojis.
screamking: If the ghosts do scare you, consider this an open invitation to come over
gogogadget: there are BETTER WAYS to invite me over dude
gogogadget: game nights
gogogadget: weed
gogogadget: just a straight up booty call
Chris doesn't really realize what he's said until after he's sent it, and then he briefly considers skipping out on his lease so he can go lie down outside and wait to die.
screamking: So if I were to do one of those now
screamking: You'd come over?
gogogadget: if you have someone over and that's what the banging's about i'll literally never talk to you again
gogogadget: just so you know
screamking: Nah it's just a tennis ball
screamking: Helps with anxiety
screamking: Dude?
screamking: If this isn't your thing we can still be friends, man
screamking: That better be you knocking on the door
---
justgidding: Chris, wake up!!!
justgidding: You said you'd go to the farmer's market today
justgidding: I WILL break this door down I don't care about your security deposit.
justgidding: Ashley says you're not answering your phone
justgidding: Josh is, though :)
justgidding: I'm texting the group chat
gogogadget: groupchat is one word
justgidding: Get dressed now we're going to the farmer's market!
gogogadget's phone can no longer recieve messages! This could be due to a loss of WiFi or the phone being turned off.
justgidding: Bitch?
gogogadget's phone can no longer recieve messages! This could be due to a loss of WiFi or the phone being turned off.
