Okay. So. Hear me out.
Changbin with a taller and muscular s/o who just makes him feel so small and pretty. Like the s/o is cooking and Changbin comes into the kitchen to see if he can help when they just pick him up and set him on the counter to watch. And of course Changbin being manhandled makes him turned on as fuck, so this usually leads to an intense make out secession that turns unto Changbin getting bent over the counter and fucked until he’s crying from overstimulation
Sorry this took so long, I’ve been dealing with shit 💀
Also this is very short, I wanted to get a fic out so I made this one into a drabble.
Tumblr media
Too Hot To Handle
• - Seo Changbin x Male!Reader
• - Smut
• - Sub!Bottom!Changbin, HardDom!Top!Reader, unprotected sex, manhandling, hair pulling, degrading, spanking, size kink, strength kink, Changbin cries
Tumblr media
Changbin groans softly to himself at the bright light of the sun shining into the bedroom. He turns his head to face away from the window, reaching over to the other side of the bed to try and grab you, only to find the bed empty and cold. He opens his eyes and furrows his eyebrows, disappointed that you aren’t there for him to cling to, until he suddenly gets a whiff of the eggs and French toast being cooked downstairs. Changbin smiles to himself before slowly getting out of bed and heading downstairs.
Changbin currently wore one of your hoodies, the clothing being very big on him with the bottom of it nearly reaching his knees while the sleeves go far past his hands, with nothing but a pair of boxers underneath. Since the two of you had fucked the night before, Changbin wasn’t wearing much, but he was wearing one of his favorite things ever; your hoodie. His hair was a mess, his eyes were still a bit swollen and a small bit red from him crying last night, his legs were still somewhat weak, and he was a bit tired.
Changbin slowly makes his way out of your shared bedroom and downstairs to the kitchen. Once he enters the kitchen, he smiles lightly to himself at the sight of you standing at the stove, shirtless with a pair of baggy gray sweatpants on while cooking some breakfast for you and him. Your hair was still a mess, your back was covered in scratches from Changbin, and Changbin could also see the few tattoos you had on your back as well as the muscles on your back; both things that Changbin loved.
Changbin walks over to stand behind you before wrapping his arms around your waist and hugging you from behind. “Good morning, hyung.” He says quietly burying his face in your back. He smiles and hums in contentment. “Mmm. . . You’re warm. . .”
You chuckle lightly, placing your free hand over Changbin’s as you continue cooking the food. “Good morning to you, Binnie.” You say with a small smile on your face. “How are you this morning?”
Changbin continues to smile as he moves to stand next to you, leaning back against the counter as he looks over at you cooking. “I’m very good, thank you.” He says, his eyes trailing down your arms, gazing over your biceps, triceps, down to your forearm, wrists, until he lands on your huge, veiny hands. He loved those hands and those arms, he loved them so much. “Can I. . . um. . . Can I help you with anything, hyung?”
Changbin looks back up at your face, trying to distract himself. He was still feeling a bit overstimulated from last nights activities, and he was trying to stop himself from getting too turned on that he would need you to fuck him once again. Of course, though, he ends up failing from what you do next.
You put your mixing tool down before moving over to stand in front of Changbin. “You. . .” You trail off as you grab Changbin’s waist and lift him up so he’s now sitting on the counter right next to the stove. You then place your hands on his knees as you look down into his, now very wide and very dilated eyes. “Can sit there and look pretty while I cook.”
Changbin has his mouth agape as he watches you go back to cooking. Changbin feels himself growing more and more aroused as the seconds past, the feeling of you handling him as if he weighed nothing was such a huge turn on. He loved be thrown around like a toy, he loved being manhandled, and he was just so sensitive. Even the simple act of you lifting him onto the counter was enough to turn him on.
“Hyung. . .” He whispers, squeezing his thighs together. He closes his eyes as his cheeks flush in embarrassment from how quickly he got so aroused, and from how easily he got aroused. “Hyung, you’re so mean. . .” He then opens his eyes and looks up at you as you continue cooking his and your breakfast. “I love it. . .”
You raise your eyebrow at the shorter male, looking at him with a side glance. You knew what he was hinting at, you knew what he was saying, but. . . why not tease him a bit more? Why not keep him on the edge? He loves when you’re mean, you know he does, so why not give him something he loves and be just a bit more mean to him? “You enjoy it a bit too much, Bin.” You say in a seemingly “innocent” tone. “Quit squeezing your thighs together. You’re just going to make yourself more needy.”
Changbin pouts and whines softly before relaxing his thighs and looking down at the floor. “If you don’t want me doing that then help me. . .” He mumbles, reaching over and grabbing your hand. “Please, hyung. . . Will you help me. . . ?”
All it took was you looking over into Changbin’s eyes. The next thing either of you knew, Changbin was bent over the kitchen counter, his boxers around his ankles, the hoodie he wore scrunched up around his waist, his back arching, and his mouth open while moans fall from his lips as you stand behind him, your hands tightly gripping his waist and hoodie while you pound into him at a pace too quick for either of you to truly follow. At this point, all Changbin can think about is how good you feel when you’re so deep inside of him.
“Ah! Hyung! Oh. . . Oh, h-hyung. . .” He whimpers, his hands reaching behind him to try and grab your waist, hips, or thighs. Anything in order to make you go even deeper. You, however, end up grabbing his hands and tossing them forward onto the counter, preventing him from touching you. “H-Hyung. . .” He whimpers, tears welling in his eyes. “F-Feels so g-good. . .”
You reach forward and grip his hair before pulling it back harshly, causing him to whine and then let out a small sob as tears spill from his eyes. His hands clench into fists, the intense pleasure of it plus how sensitive he still was from last night made it so his orgasm came much faster and more intense. Yet, even after he cums, you still continue with your thrusts. You knew he loved the pain from overstimulation, plus you hadn’t cum yet, so might as well satisfy the both of you.

The 80,000 warnings about the ao3 spambots on here are making me realize... do people on tumblr not know what an SEO scam is??????
Everyone warning each other to not click on the links... I mean yes this is just good internet advice, don’t click random spammy links, but if the point was trick you into clicking they would be doing a better job of pretending not to be bots, don’t you think?
The purpose of these comments is SEO optimization... just trying to increase their pagerank in search results on Google or Bing by making a lot of different pages link to them.
These aren’t a big deal if they hit the accounts of active writers, who have plenty of tools to get rid of them.  The game is to hit the accounts of writers who aren’t  checking their emails, and won’t bother to log in / mark as spam.  Then the comments stay up and help with getting their links on early pages of search results or making them look more legitimate.
Anyway here’s something for the AO3 engineering team to do - figure out where these bots are coming from and block the domain.  Since ao3 is mostly volunteer labor we just wait until someone’s free to work on it or the board votes to pay for it, though.

Tabs give me superpowers
Tumblr media
Berliners: Otherland has added a second date (Jan 28) for my book-talk after the first one sold out - book now!
Tumblr media
"Lifehacking" is in pretty bad odor these days, and with good reason: a once-useful catch-all for describing how to make things easier has become a pit of productivity porn, grifter hustling, and anodyne advice wreathed in superlatives and transformed into SEO-compliant listicles.
But I was there when lifehacking was born, and I'm here to tell you, it wasn't always thus. Lifehacking attained liftoff exactly 19 years and 348 days ago, on Feb 11, 2004, when Danny O'Brien presented "Life Hacks: Tech Secrets of Overprolific Alpha Geeks" at the 0'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference (aka ETCON). I was there, and I took notes:
https://craphound.com/lifehacksetcon04.txt
O'Brien's inspiration was his social circle, in which people he knew to be no smarter or better or motivated than anyone else in that group were somehow able to do much more than their peers, in some specific domain. O'Brien delved deeply into these peoples' lives and discovered that each of them had merely ("merely!") gotten very good at using one or two tools to automate things that would otherwise take up a lot of their time.
These "hacks" freed up their practitioners to focus on things that mattered more to them. They accomplished the goal set out in David Allen's Getting Things Done: to make a conscious choice about which things you are going to fail to do today, rather than defaulting to doing the things that are easy and trivial, at the expense of the things that matter, but are more complicated:
https://gettingthingsdone.com/what-is-gtd/
One trait all those lifehacks shared: everyone who created a little hack was faintly embarrassed by it, and assumed that others who learned about their tricks would find them trivial or foolish. O'Brien changed the world by showing that other people were, in fact, delighted and excited to learn about their peers' cool little tricks.
(Unfortunately, this eventually opened the floodgates of overheated posts about some miraculous hack that turned out to indeed be silly and trivial or even actively bad, but that wasn't O'Brien's fault!)
I'm one of those people whom others perceive as very "productive." There are some objective metrics on which this is true: I wrote nine books during lockdown, for example. Like the lifehackers O'Brien documented in 2004, I have lots of little hacks that aren't merely a way of getting more done – they're a way to make sure that I get the stuff that matters to me (taking care of my family and my health, and writing books) done.
A lot of these lifehacks boil down to making your life easier. There's a spot on our kitchen counter where I put e-waste. Whenever I go out to the car, I carry any e-waste out and put it in a bag in the trunk. Any time I'm near our city dump, I stop and throw the bag into their e-waste bin. This is now a habit, and habits are things you get for free: I spend zero time thinking about e-waste, which means I have more time to think about things that matter (and our e-waste still ends up in the right place).
There's other ways I use habits to make my life easier: after many years, I learned how to write every day:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/01/22/walking-the-plank/
For longer-form works like novels, I "leave myself a rough edge," finishing the day's work in the middle of a sentence. That way I get a few words for free the next day, meaning I never start the day's work wondering which words I'll type:
https://locusmag.com/2014/01/cory-doctorow-cheap-writing-tricks/
One of the most powerful habits I've cultivated is to have a group of daily tabs that I open in a new browser every morning. The meat of this tab group is websites I want to check in with every day, either because they don't have RSS feeds, or because I want to make sure I never miss an update.
This tab-group habit started before RSS was widespread, when most of the websites I wanted to check in on every day didn't have feeds yet, and for many years, this group was just a set of daily reads. But over the years, I started throwing things in the tab-group that I needed to stay on top of.
My daily tabs are in a folder called "unfucked rota" (they were originally in a folder called "rota," which got corrupted and had to be reconstructed in a folder I called "fucked rota," until I finally took a couple hours off and got it in good running order, hence "unfucked rota"). As I type this, "unfucked rota" contains more than a hundred websites I visit every morning, but it also contains:
The edit-history pages for four Wikipedia entries I'm watching;
Chronological feeds of my books on Amazon and Audible, to catch counterfeits as they are posted;
The parent notification portal for my kid's school;
The mileage history for the airline I flew on yesterday (I'll delete this once the flight is posted);
The credit card history for a card I reported a fraudulent charge on (I'll delete this once the refund is posted);
The sell-pages for three products that are out of stock (I'll delete these once the products are in stock and ordered);
A bookmarked newest-first Ebay search for a shirt I like that has been discontinued by the manufacturer;
The new-survey-completed pages for my last two Kickstarters;
The courier tracking page for an item being shipped sea-freight to me from Asia.
The tail end of this unfucked rota changes all the time, but as you can tell, it's got a lot of stuff that would be time-consuming to build a whole new system to track, but which has a web-page that can be easily added to a daily, habitual check-in and then removed when it's not relevant anymore.
Some of these things have email notifiers or RSS feeds, but those are too easy to lose in the noise. I generally delete email from ecommerce sites unread, since 99.99% of the messages they send me are unsolicited marketing nonsense, not the "notify me when this is back in stock" message I do want to see (same goes for my kid's school, which sends me fifty unimportant messages for every message that I must reply to).
Most of the internet is still on the web, which means it can be bookmarked, which means that it takes me one second to add it to the group of things I'm staying on top of, and one second to remove from that group. I get up in the morning, middle-click the "unfucked rota" item in my bookmarks pane, make a cup of coffee, and then sit down and race through those tabs, close-close-close.
It takes less than a second to scan a tab to see if it's changed (and if I close a tab too quickly, the ctrl-shift-T "unclose" shortcut is there in muscle-memory, another habit). The whole process takes between one and 15 minutes (depending on whether there's anything useful and new in one of those tabs).
Tabs, like lifehacks, are also in bad odor. Everyone stresses about how many tabs they have open. It's even inspired Rusty Foster's excellent newsletter, Today In Tabs:
https://www.todayintabs.com/
But this is a very different way to think about tabs. Rather than opening a window full of tabs that need your detailed, once-off attention later, this method is about using groups of tabs so that you can pay cursory, frequent attention to them.
In a world full of administrative burdens, where firms and institutions play the "sure, we'll do that, but you're going to have to track our progress" game to get out of living up to their obligations, this method is a powerful countermeasure:
https://memex.craphound.com/2015/02/02/david-graebers-the-utopia-of-rules-on-technology-stupidity-and-the-secret-joys-of-bureaucracy/
My little tab habit is so incredibly useful, such a powerful way to seize back time and power from powerful actors who impose burdens on me, that I sometimes forget how, for other people, tabs are a symptom of a life that's spiraling out of control. For me, a couple hundred tabs are a symbol of a couple hundred tasks that I'm totally on top of, a symbol of control wrestled back from others who are hostile to my interests.
This isn't how tabs were "meant" to be used, of course. It's an example of the kind of "innovation" that comes from users repurposing things in ways their designers didn't necessarily anticipate or intend.
This is what Jonathan Zittrain meant by "generative" technology back in 2008, when he published his incredibly prescient The Future of the Internet: And How To Stop It:
https://memex.craphound.com/2008/07/22/zittrains-the-future-of-the-internet-how-to-save-the-internet-from-the-internet/
For Zittrain, "generativity" was the property of some technologies that let its users generate new, useful tools and solutions for themselves (this is very different from "generative AI!")
Zittrain described how "curated" computing systems, like mobile devices that relied on apps that couldn't be adapted by their users, were dead ends for generativity. 15 years later, the dismal world of apps has proven him right:
https://pluralistic.net/2024/01/24/everything-not-mandatory/#is-prohibited
To the extent that "lifehacking" is about doing more, rather than being more deliberate about what you accomplish, it can be harmful. I am not immune to the failure modes of lifehacking:
https://locusmag.com/2017/11/cory-doctorow-how-to-do-everything-lifehacking-considered-harmful/
But overall, using tabs as something I close, rather than something I open, is a source of comfort and calm for me. For one thing, ripping through a group of tabs every morning means that I don't have to worry about missing something if I go too fast. I'll get another chance tomorrow:
https://pluralistic.net/2021/05/27/probably/
Decades ago, Dori Smith dubbed her pioneering blog her "#Backup Brain":
https://web.archive.org/web/20020120231027/http://www.backupbrain.com/
At their best, our systems – be they physical, like a spot on the counter where the e-waste goes, or digital, like a tab-group – are "congitive prostheses." They allow us to move important things from the highly contested, busy and precious space between our ears and out there into the world:
https://pluralistic.net/2021/05/09/the-memex-method/
Like those lifehackers that O'Brien studied for his presentation in 2004, I confess to feeling a little silly about telling you all about this. For me, this habit of decades is so ingrained that it feels trivial and obvious. And yet, when I look at people in my life struggling to stay on top of a million nagging administrative tasks that could be easily watched through a morning's flick through a tab-group, I can't help but think that maybe some of you will find a useful idea or two in my unfucked rota.

As per the anon's ask about the People Magazine and A's insta I did a lil investigative journalism and let me tell you this: it doesn't seem like the common practice to give so many redirects to the instagram profiles of the subject of their articles.
I looked up 3 random & recent "who is xyz's girlfriend" articles and also searched any other People articles about the said gfs and compared them with the ones on Luke and Antonia.
1. Cara Delevingne & Minke:
https://people.com/who-is-minke-cara-delevingne-8668520 --- only 1 redirect to Minke’s insta
https://people.com/cara-delevingne-girlfriend-minke-second-anniversary-8659081 --- just once, gf’s
https://people.com/cara-delevingne-girlfriend-minke-second-anniversary-8659081 ---  just once, gf’s
Also I think it’s worth noting that Cara has been a very known celeb and Minke is an artist too. So this is a celebrity couple and they’ve been together for 2 years, yet People covered them only for three times.
2. Usain Bolt & Kasi Bennett
https://people.com/who-is-kasi-bennett-usain-bolt-8385871 --- 3 to Usain’s insta, 4 to Kasi’s x, 3 to Kasi’s insta
https://people.com/parents/usain-bolt-girlfriend-welcomes-first-child-baby-girl/ --  just once, gf’s
This couple seems like they have been together for many years and gf is a known person too, but I could only find these two People articles about the gf.
3. Liam Hemsworth & Gabriella Brooks
https://people.com/who-is-gabriella-brooks-liam-hemsworth-8664644 --- 0
https://people.com/liam-hemsworth-gabriella-brooks-date-night-furiosa-a-mad-max-saga-premiere-photos-8650729 --- 0
https://people.com/liam-hemsworth-gabriella-brooks-date-night-furiosa-a-mad-max-saga-premiere-photos-8650729 --- 0
PS: There are tons of articles on this couple, because, you know, it’s Liam and I think gf is famous too. I just chose these random 3.
4. RJ Davis & Deja Kelly
https://people.com/who-is-deja-kelly-rj-davis-8620790 --- 2 times gf’s insta & 2 tiktoks
I’ve never heard of this couple but apparently they are both basketball players.
5. Luke Newton & Antonia Roumelioti
https://people.com/who-is-antonia-roumelioti-luke-newton-8663182 --- 6 times gf’s insta (lol)
https://people.com/luke-newton-packs-on-pda-with-girlfriend-antonia-roumelioti-italian-vacation-8686426 --- 1
https://people.com/bridgerton-luke-newton-holds-hands-with-rumored-girlfriend-antonia-roumelioti-8662726 --- 1
L and A have been together around a year, and it’s known to the wider public audience for about 3 months now. Yet we have 3 People articles about them.
I also checked the traffic these articles get.
Usains’s Who is.. Article gets around 1700 organic clicks from the USA, and 700 clicks from the UK
Luke’s Who is.. Article gets around 220 clicks from the USA and around 15 from the UK
Liam’s Who is.. Article gets around 60k organic clicks from the USA and 100 from the UK.
These are all monthly estimations.
My first reaction when I saw the latest article about A was to think it’s only natural L and her gets covered on media since his popularity has grown massively this year but looking at these insights, I realized that yes he is a lot more popular compared to before but still doesn’t get that much attraction from the general audience, outside of our small fandom. So I don’t know if those magazine/gossip platforms’ goal is to get clicks when they are putting the effort to get these articles done. Also I don’t know much about the entertainment industry and how it works so I honestly have no idea if there could be a deal in place like some people claim.
I should also note that I used a free SEO tool to check these analytics so I cannot 100% be sure that these reflect the correct data but I believe it may give us an overall idea. Please note that these kind of insight tools usually cannot promise real data, they only provide estimations. (here is the tool if you wanna check: https://app.neilpatel.com/en/traffic_analyzer/overview)
These are all just my take :)))
Wow very interesting!
Thank you for doing the leg work and sharing 💜🥃

the tl;dr
IRON CROWN as a free comic is now off of wordpress and can be viewed by a neat, robust HTML/CSS/JS comic template called rarebit! effectively nothing has changed for the reader, beyond expecting a little more reliability of uptime over the years.
all comic pages and previously paywalled patreon posts can also be downloaded in this art dump for free, as mentioned in the new author's notes.
the long story:
When talking shop about site/platform moves under this handle, I think it's useful to realize that us (taboo) kink artists live in an actively adversarial internet now, compared to five years ago.
meaning that we have to live with an expectation that 99% of platforms (including registrars and hosting, let alone sns sites) will ban/kick us without warning. this might explain the overly cautious/defensive way we discuss technologies - weighing how likely (and easily) the tool can be used against us vs the perks.
for example: has a harassment mob bullied the platform owners into quietly dropping lolisho artists? trans artists? does the platform/technology have a clear, no-bullshit policy on drawn kink art (specifically third rail kinks like noncon)? does the platform have a long history of hosting r18 doujin artists/hentai publishers with no issue? does the company operate in a nation unfriendly to specific kinks (eg fashkink artists fundamentally incompatible with companies based in germany, when other kinks might be OK?). i talk with a few different groups of artists daily about the above.
but that gets tiring after a while! frankly, the only path that's becoming optimal long-term is (a) putting kink art on your personal site, and if possible, (b) self hosting the whole thing entirely, while (c) complementing your site with physical merch since it's much harder to destroy in one go.
with that said - I've been slowly re-designing all of my pages/sub-domains as compact 'bug out bags'. lean, efficiently packed with the essentials, and very easy to save and re-upload to a new host/registrar near instantly (and eventually, be friendly to self-hosting bandwidth costs since that's now a distant goal).
how does this look in theory, you ask?
zero dependencies. the whole IRON CROWN comic subdomain is three JS files, a few HTML files, one CSS file, and images. that's it.
no updates that can be trojan horse'd. I'm not even talking about malware though that's included; I'm talking about wordpress (owned by the same owners as tumblr cough) slipping in AI opt-outs in a plug-in that's turned on by default. I used to think wordpress was safe from these shenanigans because wordpress-as-a-CMS could be separate from wordpress-as-a-domain; I was wrong. they'll get you through updates.
robust reliability through the KISS principle. keep it simple stupid. malware/DDOS'ing has an infinitively harder time affecting something that doesn't have a login page/interactive forms. You can't be affected by an open source platform suddenly folding, because your "starter" template is contained files saved on your desktop (and hopefully multiple backups...). etc.
so how does this look in practice?
To be fair, you're often trading convenient new shiny UI/tools for a clunkier back-end experience. but i think it's a mistake to think your art site has to look like a MIT professor's page from 1999.
with IRON CROWN, I've effectively replicated it from a (quite good) comic template in wordpress to 98% of the same layout in pure HTML/CSS/JS via rarebit. Should rarebit's website go "poof", I've got the initial zip download of the template to re-use for other sites.
I frankly have a hard time recommending rarebit for an actively updating webcomic since you personally might be trading too many advantages like SEO tools, RSS feeds, etc away - but for a finished webcomic that you want to put in "cold storage" - it's amazing. and exactly what I needed here.

❣ admirer - seo moonjo
[seo moonjo x fem reader]
synopsis - moonjo knew less about his target than he thought he did
this is my first moonjo fic! it's really just a rough start to see if my audience likes this and if you do, please request! the people i write for are on my page and if you want someone that isn't there too, feel free to ask! request page here
warning! themes of stalking, swearing, and dentistry tools
Tumblr media
"God fucking-" Y/n placed her hand over her cheek in pain.
"Is it that tooth again?" Jieun asked. "You really need to go see that dentist. He stays extra late for you, you know!"
You sighed. "I know, Ji. You know how I feel about tools and stuff, what if he uses a scapel?" You knew it was an over exaggeration, but you also knew they kept them in the office.
"Jesus, it's a toothache not a heart surgery. What a heartthrob of a dentist he is, too! He seems to like you, your living every middle-aged woman's dream." You scoffed. Jieun was being ridiculous, but you knew she was right. You needed to get your tooth checked, and he was undeniably a very attractive man. "Anyways, did you want to stop and get some drinks? There's a place around-"
"Y/n!" Moonjo's voice echoed the walkway, his steps nearing. "It's great to see you! I was hoping you would come into my office today." He seemed so collected for someone who just chased after you. "Ah, I was going to see you tomorrow, my tooth has started aching worse lately." Moonjo gave a bright smile, moonlight reflecting off his pale complexion. "I'm looking forward to seeing you, Y/n."
You stood outside of Moonjo's dentist office, debating whether or not to come in. Before you could turn and leave, the door opened and the receptionist walked out. "You must be Y/n! Please, come in." She opened the door and ushered you in.
"Mr. Seo told me he was expecting a beautiful lady, I just knew it was you." You gave her a smile and uttered a thank you as you went to look around. There were pictures up on a shelfshelf, one with an older lady and a bunch of little kids.
"That's me." A hand reached around and pointed at a little boy holding the older woman's hand. "That's Ms. Eom, she's a lovely lady." You snapped back to look at him, his finger his hovering over the picture. "You grew up with her? How nice that you stayed with her." Moonjo looked at you questioningly. "How did you know I live with her?" You hummed, turning away from him.
“I've been in your area before."
Moonjo was not a dumb man, far from it. As attracted as he was to you, your close relationship to Junghwa kept him on edge. You were layed out on the dentist chair while Moonjo applied his gloves. "Your tooth is damaged and it's gonna hurt, so I'll go get a mouth number." He gave you a smile before he walked into the back room.
Moonjo may be smart, but you're smarter.
As he was back there he contemplated if he was really about to do this to you. He couldn't lose you, but he couldn't compromise his "family." He looked at you through the cameras for a few more seconds before turning off the cameras and grabbing the anesthetic. "So, Y/-"
"Hello, Mr. Seo."
You were sitting on top of a counter with your legs crossed, his red box open next to you. Scalpel in hand, you glanced up at him.
"What were you going to with that needle, Mr. Seo? If I didn't know any better, that looks like a lot more than a mouth number."
Moonjo was at a loss for words. Y/n laughed at his expression, the expression that told her everything.
"Were you going to sedate me? Perhaps take me back to that god forsaken fourth-floor and subject me to the same fate as Hee-joong? As Seok-yoon?"
"How do you..?"
"I'm far less oblivious than you believe I am, Moonjo. Did you really believe I had a toothache? What about yesterday when me and Jieun happened to be close to your office? All these things that I have done to see you.
It appears you have an admirer."

hii i have a maybe somewhat difficult question:
how do you go about writing all of the police/detective stuff? I have no knowledge at all about that except having played the game a few times and watching bbc sherlock back when that was a thing.
I have so many cool kimharry things in my mind that i need to get on paper but i don't know how to involve all the cop stuff in a natural way because i don't know anything about it and don't want it to be too wildly incorrect.
so yeah.. how do you even learn the things for this?
thank you so much i love your work
Quite a difficult question I won't lie...... But I've answered at length so it's going under a readmore
This isn't my favourite thing to discuss online as it can trigger my psychosis, but I have an actual dismaying amount of experience with cops. I don't want to talk about it but... Bit like Cuno I suppose. Good ending for that kid is doing public services training ages 14 - 16, and going "oh this is shit actually" once he's got an out from his abusive parent, then working at a restaurant
I quite literally cannot go into detail - so don't ask because I WILL delete this post - but an ex military police officer told us a "funny story" about a "prank" he played on some kids in an occupied location during the late 80s that I recognised as psychological torture, but made my peers laugh. So I decided to become a faggot and poet instead.
~NOW FOR THE FUN ADVICE THAT IS ACTUALLY OF USE TO YOU!
Research:
Honestly, the amount of time I spend looking up stuff for writing is probably more than the time I spend writing. The internet's being fucked by SEO but it's a start. Like... There's plenty of info out there written on the police and their role in systematic oppression, I'm pretty sure there's free PDFs floating around on Tumblr actually...
If it's more "day in the life" I honestly don't know. Maybe reddit or if there's one of those "Ex-[blank} reviews [blank] in movies" videos on Youtube for cops, but obviously take everything said with a pinch of salt.
FAYDE:
Fayde is the best tool at your disposal. We bully Kim a lot for his dedication to the RCM but that makes finding out info pretty easy. EDC too! I've never played with high EDC so just typing in key words (especially names of other officers to try and get character info) and scrolling through is helpful.
Good keywords are "precinct", "RCM", "Militicia" as they'll bring up opinions/ info from other characters.
The RCM is not a traditional police force:
I would worry less about accuracy and more about being interesting. It doesn't need to be a perfect representation of police work since the canon makes a point of there being a distinction in the powers and roles of the RCM. Go listen to the collapsing tenement cut content. You don't need to write about them filling in forms if it's not relevant. It'll show in your writing if you're unsure/ bored.
Make them worse:
If you're going to write one of the officers doing something shitty (yes, that includes Kim and Harry) but worry that you've gone too far then I promise you haven't. Dickheads are drawn to positions of power and the impunity it gives them. There's a reason I wrote one of the 57's officers as a groomer.
Make them less competent:
Don't trust the police, but also don't expect anything of them.
As recently as Monday I had to call for the fire brigade because a lit (thankfully poorly made) petrol bomb had been left under a neighbour's car (I live an irritatingly interesting life for somebody who lives in the middle of fucking nowhere) nobody was harmed. Cop came to find me afterwards to get an interview from me since I'd spotted it and he told me, I kid you not, "Yeah, we're not gonna do anything unless anything else happens." Like, I expected as much but I wasn't expecting him to up and fucking say that. You're welcome for 85% of my council tax, you fucking moron.
Harry's a special case because he's, like, psychic and got "maybe if I solve *THIS* one my wife will let me sleep in the big bed" disorder, and nobody wants to read a case fic that they... don't solve (or do they..? *winks*) But if you care about realism you need dick-in-hand dipshits. Another favourite quote of mine from an officer two years back; "Is 'right wing' the good one or the bad one?" So the advice here is you're writing a cop well if you're reading it and thinking: holy shit please just go work at a TESCOs instead.
Don't worry so much:
You should write, first and foremost, for yourself. I like detective fiction, I have wasted an unfortunate amount of my life dealing with police due to my job and shit childhood. (I did originally write far more about this, but frankly it's better for myself if I don't bother. That's why it's taken me five days to answer this)
I've read/ watched a lot of detective fiction and I'm always more drawn to stuff that is less based in police work. Private investigators, investigative journalists, kid detectives like Nancy Drew, ect.
In particular my favourite book, perhaps of all time, is called Hideaway by Dean Koontz and is two fathers (one: the killer's father - a talented doctor who brought his shithead son back to life - and another, the doctor's most recent patient to be brought back from the brink who has developed a psychic link with the killer as a result) trying to stop him, but never actually meeting! It's one hell of a read if you need inspo.
Val McDermott is a good author for crime writing with less police input, too. She has a book called Killing The Shadows which is excellent. The Killer's motive is taking out crime writers who've romanticised psychological profilers after he was wrongly convicted. Fair enough! Until he starts... Killing about it? Sort of defeats the message... Anyway, what's fun about this book is that before each crime writer is killed (in the same way they wrote THEIR killers killing!! Love that) you get to read the first chapter of each writer's most famous work. So you are essentially getting six crime books in one (first chapter of at least) ...Also the main character's husband is a crime writer called Kit, which I've only remembered just double checking the book name now. Lol???
...This is just turning into me recommending books.
TLDR: write what you know, write what is fun, ACAB, don't even worry about it

The Shocking Truth About Affiliate Marketing: What They Don’t Tell You
Tumblr media
Affiliate marketing has become one of the most popular ways to make money online, promising a stream of passive income that can grow with little effort. But is it really that simple? If you’re new to affiliate marketing or even a seasoned pro, you may not know the full story. In this article, we’ll uncover the hidden truths of affiliate marketing, show you how it works, and reveal the strategies that successful marketers use to generate substantial income.
Ready to Unlock the Secrets of Affiliate Marketing? Download Our Secret formula and Start Earning Today!
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is an online business model where you earn a commission by promoting other people's products or services. It’s a performance-based strategy: when someone clicks your unique affiliate link and makes a purchase, you get paid. Sounds simple, right? Well, there’s more to it than just placing links on your website or social media.
How Affiliate Marketing Really Works
1.Choosing the Right Niche: Not all niches are created equal. Some are highly competitive, while others may not generate enough interest to be profitable. The key is to find a niche that has a passionate audience and high-ticket products that can offer substantial commissions.
2.Finding High-Ticket Offers: One of the secrets to making serious money in affiliate marketing is promoting high-ticket items—products or services that offer large commissions per sale. These could be premium courses, software, or exclusive memberships. The higher the price, the bigger your commission.
3.Creating Valuable Content: Successful affiliate marketers don’t just slap links on a page. They create high-quality content that provides value to their audience. This could be in the form of blog posts, product reviews, tutorials, or even videos. The goal is to build trust with your audience, so when they see your affiliate link, they’re more likely to click and purchase.
4.Driving Traffic to Your Content: Without traffic, your affiliate links won’t generate any sales. There are several ways to drive traffic to your content: SEO (Search Engine Optimization), social media marketing, email marketing, and paid advertising. Each has its pros and cons, but SEO and social media offer excellent opportunities for free, organic traffic.
5.Converting Clicks into Sales: It’s not enough to get people to click on your affiliate links; you need them to convert into sales. This is where persuasive copywriting and strategic placement of links come into play. Additionally, understanding your audience’s pain points and presenting your affiliate product as the solution can significantly increase conversion rates.
Don’t Miss Out on the Insider Tips! Get Your Affiliate Marketing Secret formula and Start Profiting Today!
The Challenges No One Talks About
While affiliate marketing can be lucrative, it’s not without its challenges. Here are some of the things most people won’t tell you:
It Takes Time: Building a successful affiliate marketing business doesn’t happen overnight. It requires consistent effort in creating content, driving traffic, and optimizing your strategies. Patience is key.
High Competition: Popular niches often have fierce competition. Standing out from the crowd requires creativity, niche expertise, and a deep understanding of your audience.
Constant Learning: The digital landscape is always evolving. What worked last year might not work today. Staying updated on the latest trends, tools, and strategies is crucial for long-term success.
Dependence on Third Parties: Your income depends on the companies you promote. Changes in their policies, commission structures, or even the viability of their products can impact your earnings.
Proven Strategies for Affiliate Marketing Success
To succeed in affiliate marketing, you need more than just knowledge; you need a strategy. Here are some tips to help you thrive:
Build an Email List: Your email list is one of your most valuable assets. It allows you to promote products directly to your audience and build a relationship with them over time. Offer a freebie in exchange for their email to start building your list.
Leverage Social Proof: People are more likely to purchase something if they see others doing it. Use testimonials, reviews, and case studies to build credibility and trust with your audience.
Experiment with Different Traffic Sources: Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Explore multiple traffic sources—like Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and SEO—so that your business isn’t reliant on just one.
Focus on Long-Term Relationships: Successful affiliate marketers don’t chase quick sales. They focus on building long-term relationships with their audience and the companies they promote. This creates sustainable income and opens up opportunities for exclusive deals or partnerships.
Monitor and Optimize: Regularly review your analytics to see which content, traffic sources, and offers are performing the best. Use this data to refine your strategy, optimize your content, and increase your conversion rates.
Unlock the Door to Passive Income! Get Your Affiliate Marketing Secret formula Now and Start Building Your Online Empire!
Conclusion
Affiliate marketing is a powerful way to generate income online, but it’s not as easy as it might seem at first glance. It requires strategic planning, consistent effort, and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing digital landscape. By understanding the full scope of affiliate marketing—beyond the surface-level promises—you can set yourself up for long-term success.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to take your affiliate marketing to the next level, keep these truths and strategies in mind. With the right approach, you can unlock the full potential of affiliate marketing and turn it into a lucrative online business.

A US court ruled that Google is a monopoly, and has broken antitrust laws. This decision will be appealed, but in the meantime, could affect similar cases against large tech giants.
Did you violate a Facebook policy? Meta is now offering a “training course” in lieu of having the page’s reach limited for Professional Mode users.
Google Ads shown in Canada will have a 2.5% surcharge applied as of October 1, due to new Canadian tax laws.

SOCIAL MEDIA - All Aspects, By Site
Facebook (includes relevant general news from Meta)
Meta’s latest legal development: a $1.4 billion settlement with Texas over facial recognition and privacy.
Instagram
Instagram is highlighting “Views” in its metrics in an attempt to get creators to focus on reach instead of follower numbers.
Pinterest
Pinterest is testing outside ads on the site. The ad auction system would include revenue sharing.
Reddit
Reddit confirmed that anyone who wants to use Reddit posts for AI training and other data collection will need to pay for them, just as Google and OpenAI did.
Second quarter 2024 was great for Reddit, with revenue growth of 54%. Like almost every other platform, they are planning on using AI in their search results, perhaps to summarize content.
Threads
Threads now claims over 200 million active users.
TikTok
TikTok is now adding group chats, which can include up to 32 people.
TikTok is being sued by the US Federal Trade Commission, for allowing children under 13 to sign up and have their data harvested.

As of November, Patreon memberships started in the iOS app will be subject to a 30% surcharge from Apple. Patreon is giving creators the ability to add that charge to the member's bill, or pay it themselves.
ONLINE ADVERTISING (EXCEPT INDIVIDUAL SOCIAL MEDIA AND ECOMMERCE SITES)
Google worked with Meta to break the search engine’s rules on advertising to children through a loophole that showed ads for Instagram to YouTube viewers in the 13-17 year old demographic. Google says they have stopped the campaign, and that “We prohibit ads being personalized to people under-18, period”.
Google’s Performance Max ads now have new tools, including some with AI.
Microsoft’s search and news advertising revenue was up 19% in the second quarter, a very good result for them.
One of the interesting tidbits from the recent Google antitrust decision is that Amazon sells more advertising than either Google or Meta’s slice of retail ads.
BUSINESS & CONSUMER TRENDS, STATS & REPORTS; SOCIOLOGY & PSYCHOLOGY, CUSTOMER SERVICE
More than half of Gen Z claim to have bought items while spending time on social media in the past half year, higher than other generations.
Shopify’s president claimed that Christmas shopping started in July on their millions of sites, with holiday decor and ornament sales doubling, and advent calendar sales going up a whopping 4,463%.
