So I'm someone who low balls the time between Chara and Frisk (team exactly 100 years baby!!![not really]) but what I'm about to say probably works on any of the lower ranges of years
Tumblr media
(screenshot from the Undertale text project) This line doesn't just imply that we're way past 201X, the toy knife is also in the ruins and the first set of soul items (the patience [light blue] soul is the spinning knife phase from the flower fight) The only place that's closed off from the general public, and the oldest, to me implies that it was from the first kid who fell. On top of that, plastic is so incredibly pervasive in the current day that for something to be "rare" by the events of Undertale, it would probably have to be from a kid who fell very soon after Chara did.
If only there was a way to confirm this...Like some sort of sequel game with a human younger than Chara & Asriel (who are presented as being roughly the same age) who's associated with knives and the color light blue...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(both from the Deltarune Text Project)
Oh well! Until that happens, I guess there's no real way to know the order the humans fell in other than totally blind assumptions!
Do you have a timeline for when you believe the humans fell underground (including Chara + Frisk)?
Well not necessarily anything specific. just a few things that mark some VERY wide margings for what i have in mind
Chara fell in 201X, as per the calendar with the circled date.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was after the Dreemurrs (and thus monsterkind in tow) already left Home to explore the rest of the mountain and settled in New Home. This is deduced by the wall writings in Waterfall, which bemoan the underground's inaccessibility, saying there's no way a human could ever make its way down there.
Tumblr media
So New Home already existed (or was soon going to be founded, if the plaques were written while the monsters were still exploring) before any human had fallen into the Underground at all.
However! The childhood room in Home is referred to as Asriel's room in both the game files and in the art book (the screenshot is from the Home segment of the book)
Tumblr media
Which would mean Asriel was born close enough in time to the monsters' banishment to be alive when they migrated further into the caverns (and to already have personal interests, like astronomy), and that he was likely snooping around his previous home in the RUINs by chance when he found Chara.
I think Chara spent a LOT of time with the Dreemurrs... but less so chronologically. They likely had reset powers like all humans who fall into the Underground as a consequence of their high DT (from the Undertale Legends of Localization book):
Tumblr media
(I actually think this was the intended implication with their inappropriately light approach to death and pain, ie: laughing in that one videotape about making Asgore sick), so I like to think that, while they obviously stuck around for a long time, they techincally were only with the Dreemurrs for 1, maybe 2 linear years. Which would explain why they seem... hesitant to call them their child/sibling. From their perspective, it was too soon for those words at the time. Either that or Chara was uncomfortable with familiar terms for whatever reason. I tend to ping-pong between the two.
Chara dies and so does Asriel -> Asgore cringe comp -> Toriel bails.... And then bam, the next humans start falling down.
l think the entire affair took centuries in total. Surely a lot of time, enough for most commonplace monsters to have no idea what a human looks like
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At LEAST one century, that is, but that is the barest minimum. There's this one line in the date with Sans at MTT resort when he's talking about his first meeting with Toriel:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now I'm not saying Sans is aware of what's going on or that this makes incanon sense, but knowing UT's propensity for tragically poetic irony, this feels like one of those occasions.
I in my personal chronology, the humans fell either 1 or 2 per century, putting Toriel's exile between 300 and 600 years long.
The order? uhhhhh. dw about it
Thus, Frisk falls down in 2X15. Monsters are freed, everyone is happy. Yay yayay ^_^ yippee. The End.

I feel like Gerson is under appreciated. Like, he’s surprisingly well developed for how little time we get with him.
In undertale, he’s effectively the monster equivalent of an old man doing a massive yard sale, getting rid of shit he doesn’t need. However, due to his old man status “studying history sure is easy” and so he’s the only guy who tells you about the prophecy of the angel and the delta rune, as well as about Boss Monsters.
He also casually mentions he was a war hero back in the day, the Hammer of Justice. Now, two of the items in his shop are the torn notebook and cloudy glasses. These are both items belonging to the human soul of perseverance. Now, he could’ve just picked them up from trash zone, buuut it seems just as likely that he killed that human himself.
This is possibly why he is not in the least bit scared of you on the genocide route. Like, at all. He spits such raw lines as “I wouldn’t buy your chitzy garbage at knifepoint”. He also seems oddly self aware, like more than sans, saying he knows the player cannot kill him while in his shop when threatened. This absolute mad lad will charge you full price for his wares and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it, and he fucking knows it.

After Undertale Yellow people started to care about the human children again.
One thing that I love about Yellow is that it explains how Clover's items got to the dump. And it also kind of explains why Integrity items were hidden.
So I started to think about the other children's items… And I realized that Bravery is like the one with the weirdest item locations.
Like... Perseverance's items are found in Gerson shop. Gerson being the old captain of the royal guard could have killed Perseverance.
Kindness's items are just out in the open in Hotland. Could have just die to a random monster or on of the Royal Guards since RG 01 and RG 02 roam the area. And their items just got scattered around.
Patience is kind of weird since since they were the first human they most likely have the power to save since, according to Undertale, the being with the most Determination can save and load. Meaning that Patience could save and just wasn't able to defeat Asgore and leave the underground and just gave up. And their items were somehow sent back to the Ruins. My theory is that Asgore knows that Toriel lives in the Ruins, and she probably got attached to the child that he just killed. So he sent Patience's items to Toriel. And they got scattered around in the Ruins because of the annoying dog that eats Toriel's phone was a pest.
But Bravery is the weirdest... First of all, Bravery's weapon is the only human soul item that can be found in two locations. In the dimention box and Snowdin Shopkeeper shop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And second of all, it is super weird that QC has those items in the first place.Like... Bratty and Catty explain where they got their items, and Gerson is a strong candidate to be Perseverance killer. But QC is just a random monster. Heck, we only found out her name in Deltarune. And she's the only shopkeeper who doesn't have a name in Undertale.
Okay… The first part about Bravery's weapon makes kind of sense, since the weapon's name is Tough Glove, that means it's only one glove. So box lover has one glove, while QC has the other.
It's just that box lover and QC are such random monsters that makes me wonder how Bravery journey went. Were box lover and QC Bravery's friends? Like Marltet, Starlo, and Ceroba to Clover. Who is box lover for that matter? If all the dimentional boxes are connected why didn't Clover find the Tough Glove in their adventure?
Whoever is trying to create Undertale Orange, good luck explaining this.

About undersales :
First of all LOOOVE this concept. And also
Is there a specific journey about how the AU developed in universe?? Like did it start as canon, then slowly overtime it Became Undersales, or from the beginning, since the beginning of the monster race etc, it was just Like That???
Ooo, does the type of wares each character sells depend on the character themself? Like does Undyne only sell weapons/armour, or would she also sell healing items?
Is the system only restricted to adult monsters? Would child monsters help sell their parents/guardians stuff until they came of age? I'm asking if Monster Kid would sell u stuff, lol.
Anyways I'm loving this concept as u can tell, have a lovely day mutual heart emojiii!!!!
Thank you for the kind words!!!
1. Since the beginning, monsters have a very high interest in shiny things, such as gold. Therefore, money has a really big role in the Underground. They also just adopted human’s capitalism I guess.
2. Every character will sell things depending on their personality. Undyne wouldn’t give you her weapons/armour though. If you want armour or weapons, you’ll need to steal them from her, gain her trust or talk to Gerson.
3. No, children can also have their own shop if they want to work (or have nothing else to do). Monster Kid doesn’t sell stuff, instead they play the tambourine on the streets (you have the option to give them money or ignore them)
Hope that answers your questions!!

We're still working on minor character designs but for now we have everyone's favourite weird old man, G....erson. Gerson Boom.
He takes the place of the Snowdin Innkeeper and runs the resort in Clearwater. We never see his full-body design in canon so I kind of eyeballed his shop sprite & Alvin from DELTARUNE. Some figures on his inspiration board included Craig Cuttlefish, Scrooge McDuck, and Jimmy Buffet.

Toriel vs Asgore: The Winter Alliance
Tumblr media
Toriel refuses to let Asgore get that final soul...
After the death of the 6th human, Toriel rises from the Ruins and declares a civil war against Asgore; any monsters who are actually AGAINST the idea of a second war will join the Queen's side...
A third of the Kingdom takes Toriel's side and those that agree with Toriel reside in the Ruins and Snowdin, while those that stay loyal to Asgore live in Waterfall and Hotlands...
The monsters that have joined Toriel's side in Snowdin are called the 'Winter Alliance'...
The monsters that still want a war on humanity are called the 'Ebott Beasts'...
Queen Toriel: Toriel is still a kind monster deep down, but when she started the Civil War, she begins to act stoic and cold to hide how depressed she truly is... She only allows Frisk and those that she's closest with see her true colors (like Papyrus and Sans)... She's even more protective of Frisk then in Canon and she rivals Undyne in stubborness when it comes to Frisk wanting to leave... She's still angry at Asgore, but she's more self-aware of her own mistakes... She's also outraged that Asgore did nothing, when Gerson changed the history books on Asgore's side to make it sound like Chara was an adopted monster, not a human...
King Asgore: Asgore is even more depressed and quiet then he is in canon... Seeing his wife again and trying to start a civil war in the Kingdom has made him a shell of his former self... Unlike Toriel, he isn't able to hide how miserable he is anymore... He spends most of his time either gardening, doing paper work or trying to talk with Toriel during meetings... He actually agrees with Toriel and wants the war to stop... But he's being pressured by his Kingdom, especially Gerson and Undyne and the Royal Guard, to get the final soul...
*Here are some of the monsters that have joined Toriel's side:
Papyrus: (Was originally on Asgore's side, but after hearing the stories of both races living peacefully, he joins Toriel's side with his brother following him...)
Most of the Ruins' Monsters
Grillby and his Family
Greater Dog
Lesser Dog
Rabbit Shop Keeper
Rabbit Inn Keeper
Gift Bear
Politics Bear
Scarf Mouse
Red Demon
Slime Family
Ice Wolf
Snowdin's Library Workers
Snowdrake's Family
Chilldrake
Ice Cap
Gyftrot
Some of Muffet's Spider Family
Jerry (Oh, the irony...)
River Person
Sans: (Technically he's neutral, but he lives in Snowdin with Papyrus...)
Flowey: (Technically he's neutral, but he usually lives in the Ruins...)
*And here are some that are still loyal to Asgore:
Gerson: (Is one of the monsters that changed the history books on Asgore's side to make it sound like Chara was an adopted monster, not a human... So, the monsters born on Asgore's side would be less encouraged to join the Winter Alliance... Although, some still decide to join anyway and then later learn the truth... Undyne is one of the monsters that believes in this propoganda... Gerson and Undyne are the main reasons why Asgore hasn't surrendered to Toriel yet...)
Undyne: (Very loyal to the side of the Ebott Beasts and Asgore's Royal Guard Captain... Views the whole Winter Alliance as traitors... Becomes enraged and heartbroken when Papyrus joins Toriel's side...)
Alphys: (Even though she's technically part of the Ebott Beasts and Asgore's Scientist... A part of her is starting to want to join Toriel's side... But she doesn't want to leave Mettaton or for Undyne to view her as a traitor, like the Captain already does with Papyrus...)
The Rest of the Royal Guard
Mettaton: (Pretends to be an Ebott Beast, but he's technically on his own side... and the side of humanity... because he wants to be seen as a famous hero by them...)
Muffet: (Even though she lives on Asgore's side of the Kingdom, she's technically only on the side of her own species...)
Monster Kid's Family: (But Monster Kid joins Toriel's side, after meeting Frisk...)
Napstablook (Technically he's neutral, but he still lives in Waterfall...)
Most of the monsters that live in Waterfall and Hotlands...
...
When Frisk arrives, the child has a harder time convincing Toriel to let him try leaving the mountain then in canon...
Toriel tells Frisk that he can leave Snowdin, if he can defeat all the traps in the frozen forest as well as defeat all her monsters in battle...
When Frisk does this, Toriel gives them a sword, a shield and some armor for extra protection (which Frisk can decide whether to use it or not)...
Flowey pretends to be Toriel's and Frisk's friend...
Toriel tells Flowey to be 'Frisk's guardian' and he agrees (he just wants to get Asgore's harvested human souls)...
If Frisk resets, the child is still forced to take Flowey with him, cause Flowey tells Frisk that nobody will believe the child saying that Flowey is evil... plus, Flowey is the only one that can protect Frisk from Undyne's chasing spears and Mettaton's TV Traps...

Their Name is Chara.
It was a beautiful day for a picnic. Or at least, that was what Frisk had claimed right before making sandwiches, grabbing a cloth, snagging some silverware from the kitchen drawer, shoveling them all into a bag and dragging Flowey off to what they claimed to be “the coolest park in all of Ebott.”
Who had made them the Ebott expert anyway?
Granted, they had lived on the surface for much longer than any living monster, save Toriel, Asgore, Gerson, and some of the other Human-Monster War veterans. Even so, they weren’t exactly observant, much preferring to get wherever they were going as fast as they could with no regards to scenery until they reached their destination. Deep analysis and thorough observation, that was Flowey’s style. How could Frisk possibly learn anything the way they were rushing around? Flowey wondered where that straightforward, no-hesitation attitude had been back when they were in the Underground. Watching them stop to talk to every single monster they encountered then call Papyrus and Undyne in every single room had been nothing short of infuriating.
Not that he hadn’t been any worse once upon a time, but he had no reason to rush, no goal to strive towards. The barrier was an impenetrable blockade for him. That was some sort of excuse.
Now they were bringing that forceful spirit with them as they rushed through the streets of the small city monsterkind now called a home, hurrying along the fastest route as if the devil himself was hot on their trail. Flowey, of course, had been roped into joining them simply because they had no one else to go with. He was deeply regretting his decision to accept their offer of a ride as he looped his roots through the basket spokes, hanging on for his dear life—or whatever was left of it anyway.
The scenery flashed by, melting into a blur of gray on gray, punctuated only by the brief flashes of green from a tree on a street corner, trying in vain to add a bit of color to the dull city. The hum of chatter from people conversing on street corners and outside shops filled the air alongside the faint hum of car engines as the vehicles rushed by. Frisk dodged swiftly around monsters and humans alike, jolting Flowey at every sharp turn.
As they ran towards the center of the city, trees—or rather the green smudges Flowey thought were trees—became more common. Frisk slowed to a stop, allowing Flowey to speak.
“What, did you get sick of running?”
“Tired…” they managed, panting.
“Here’s a thought,” Flowey said snidely, “Maybe if you hadn’t sprinted the entire way, you wouldn’t be tired.”
“Maybe… but… we got here… sooner,” they said between gasps for breath.
“I don’t see why you have to rush everywhere. It’s bad enough that you dragged me out here without you zooming around like you're on one of Hotland’s conveyor belts. You get to live in an enormous world, and your entire city is half the size of the Underground. You could at least appreciate it.”
“Why are you… complaining? We’re… here, aren’t we?”
Flowey turned around. To his right was a bunch of trees—oak, fir, spruce, birch, all sorts—stretching at least two blocks in either direction. A small gap in the tree line marked the opening to a dirt path. What he could see inside the park mostly consisted of well-maintained green grass dotted with some kind of yellow flower. And beside the beginning of the path, a sign read “Georgina Abbott memorial park.”
Georgina Abbot. Flowey had no idea why, but somehow that name stuck out to him. It sounded familiar, like he’d heard it before. Maybe someone had told it to him? But where could he have heard the name of a human?
Before he could ponder it further, Frisk caught their breath and headed into the park, this time at a reasonable pace. Seemingly feeling talkative, they attempted to start a conversation.
“Have you ever been on a picnic before?”
“No. How could I? It’s not exactly easy to picnic when you’re trapped under a mountain. Thanks for that, by the way.”
“What are you talking about? I didn’t send you down there.”
“You didn’t help us get free for the last thousand years, either. If we had gotten the human souls faster, monsterkind wouldn’t be trapped underground for those thousands of years.”
“Sorry for not dying quicker,” they deadpanned. “Why is it that you always turn the subject to blame? I was just trying to make conversation.”
Flowey looked away, trying to think of a response. “Humans could have at least—” Flowey’s gaze drifted downwards toward the grass along either side of the path and he froze. His comeback died in his throat. He stared blankly at the yellow flowers covering the otherwise typical park grass. Any other thoughts faded out of his mind. The flowers were everywhere. Coating the ground. He couldn’t breathe.
He heard Frisk’s voice as if coming from the opposite end of a tunnel.
“Flowey? Flowey! Are you okay? What is it?”
Buttercups. Hundreds upon thousands, all over the entire park. Sprouting up throughout, little splotches of yellow, probably nothing more than a beautiful display to any human passing by. Coating the ground. He even caught the tiniest hint of an aroma drifting from them, filling the air. He felt sick. He’d never seen so many in one place before, not since—
“Flowey!”
Their voice jolted him from his numb stupor.
He didn’t need them worrying. He needed to act calm.
“Yeah?”
“What was that? You zoned out there for a second. More than zoned out, you looked… scared.”
Flowey didn’t respond. They followed his gaze to the buttercups on the ground.
“What got you so spooked? It’s just a bunch of flowers. You’re a flower, right? You should know these are nothing to be scared of. This sounds like something you should be telling me, if anything. What kind of flowers are these anyway? They look kind of like buttercu…” They trailed off. They must have remembered those tapes in Alphys’ old lab. Flowey ought to have hidden them. “Oh.”
Flowey remained silent.
“Hey, we don’t have to have our picnic here. Ebott has other parks, we can visit those ones. If you don’t want to stay here, I completely understand.”
So they thought he was a coward? He wasn’t weak. Sure, he didn’t want to go on a picnic, and this wasn’t exactly an enjoyable environment for him, but if Frisk thought he was going to admit that then they were an idiot. So he grit his teeth, looked up and said, as casually as he could, “This place is fine.” It still came out a little forced, and they didn’t look completely convinced, but they kept walking forward and Flowey counted that as a win.
He was no coward. And it was just a couple of flowers.
They turned off the path and onto the grass, trampling flowers beneath their feet. A small ways away from the path, they sat down the basket allowing Flowey to clamber off it and root himself in the grass-covered soil. Frisk pulled out the cloth and laid it out on the ground. They grabbed the sandwiches—magic, or course—that they’d made for the picnic.
“I made peanut butter and jelly,” they said, sliding a sandwich toward him. “Those are made from plants—that’s not cannibalism for you, is it?”
“Of course not,” he scoffed, before realizing he didn’t actually know. In the end, he decided it probably wasn’t. It was monster food, after all, so it was made mostly of magic. He wouldn’t be able to eat it otherwise.
Fortunately, the plant life in the park was useful for one thing and Flowey could use the flowers’ roots as simple vines, acting as appendages so he could actually eat mostly normally.
Flowey tried to keep his vision away from the ground and consequently ended up fixing his gaze on Frisk. As far as humans went they were about average. Their plain, straight brown hair looked like they had cut it themself—they probably had, come to think of it. Their eyes were perpetually squinted to the effect that it looked like they were always staring at the sun. The very peculiar thing about them, however, was their skin, which was toned at an almost yellow color. When asked about it, they’d said it was some kind of genetic alteration, and that it was normal for humans. Flowey wasn’t sure about the former, but from just looking at humans he could tell that the latter was true.
Frisk attempted to make conversation. Yet another thing that had changed about them from when they were in the Underground; down there they had almost never spoken except after being asked a question or when they were ACTing.
Unfortunately, in grasping for a conversation topic they stumbled upon one Flowey would rather never talk about again.
“So, God of Hyperdeath. Back in the Underground. What was up with that?” They cut him off before he could answer. “And don’t try to change the topic either. Or lie! I’m curious.”
After running through multiple possible scenarios, Flowey deduced that answering honestly was the only option. Frisk seemed completely adamant on getting an honest answer.
“It was… Asriel’s creation.” Catching a glimpse of Frisk’s impatient face, Flowey could tell that answer would not suffice. So he sighed and continued. “He and Chara would make up these stories. There would always be a hero and a villain, and they’d battle. Asriel would pout unless he was the hero. Fortunately for him, Chara would always let him be the good guy. And they’d always play the villain.” He laughed mirthlessly. “Funny how the opposite turned out to be true, huh?” Seeing Frisk’s face, Flowey continued. “Anyway, Asriel eventually created this whole character. Apparently being just plain Asriel wasn’t enough for him. No, he had to be the God of Hyperdeath.”
A look of confusion shone clearly on Frisk’s face. “If you hate that creation so much, why did you choose to take that form? You had godlike power, right?”
Flowey hesitated. “I… wanted to show off to Chara. Or, no, you. I only thought you were Chara. But I… I thought it would be like old times, you know? I thought, maybe, if we played the same way we always had… they wouldn’t want to leave me again.”
He bit his tongue. That was much more than he’d wanted to share. Flowey quickly tore a chunk out of his sandwich and swallowed, keeping his mouth occupied to avoid spilling any more rotten vulnerability. The healing magic flowed through him, but he didn’t have a soul anyway nor any wounds, so it didn’t actually affect him in any tangible way.
Something came to him. “Where did you even hear that name, anyway?”
“I must have heard you say it during the battle,” Frisk said a little too quickly.
Flowey let it slide. He couldn’t remember the battle perfectly; he might have mentioned the name and had just forgotten. In any case, he didn’t want to talk about it any more than he had to.
Flowey devoured his entire sandwich in a matter of seconds. The sooner he was done, the sooner he could leave, right? He didn’t want to talk with Frisk. He didn’t want to stay in this buttercup-covered park. He didn’t want to relive any more memories. He’d still have to wait for Frisk, though, wouldn’t he? Well, as long as they were eating they at least wouldn’t bother him.
He looked up and saw, to his amazement, that they had already finished their sandwich. They’d already packed up everything on the blanket, too. “Ready to go?” they asked him, either oblivious to their impressive consumption abilities or, more likely, just being obnoxious.
Flowey simply nodded, and they folded up the blanket. Flowey latched himself once again onto the basket. Despite the neck-breaking speed of Frisk’s running, Flowey didn’t know the city’s layout well enough to burrow safely, and he had no desire to be stepped on by some unaware human. So the basket it was.
Frisk immediately started walking along the path in the opposite direction of the tree line and the exit.
Flowey turned to them. “Frisk. Did you forget the way out or something? And you’re supposed to be the Ebott expert.”
“I have something I want to show you,” they replied simply.
Flowey’s curiosity grew somewhat, but he responded with a veneer of indifference. “It better not be more flowers.”
“It’s not,” Frisk said. “This park is named after a human girl, Georgina Abbott, who—well, I’m not sure exactly what the details are, but I think she went missing around 201X. Her parents must have been rich, or or something, because they made a huge statue of her right in the middle of the park. I think it was a sort of warning against heading to Mount Ebott. It’s a pretty good thing I didn’t listen, huh?”
Frisk kept talking, but Flowey ignored them. Georgina Abbott… that name was still so familiar to Flowey, and yet he still could not place it. But where could he possibly have heard a human name? Maybe in a book he’d found in the Waterfall garbage dump? A lot of human stuff fell from there, so it wasn’t out of the question. But that just didn’t seem right…
“Anyway,” Frisk continued, “I figure even if you don’t like parks, or nature, or people, or anything really,”—they shot him a pointed look—“maybe you can still appreciate art!”
Flowey considered it. Either way, they were going to take him, so there was no real point in argufying. And besides, he’d become curious. Maybe seeing this statue would help him figure out where he’d heard that name. After a few moments’ pause he responded “Okay.”
Frisk strolled onward with a smile. As they neared the center of the park, the flowers became more and more populous, eventually crowding the grass, clumping together in thick patches where no green was visible behind the bright yellow. Flowey looked straight forward. Just because he wasn’t scared of the flowers didn’t mean he had to look at them. The dirt path beneath Frisk’s feet gave way to chipped cobblestone, and Flowey spotted an iron fence they passed through. Frisk’s footsteps abruptly stopped. Flowey looked up, expecting to see some boring piece of metal idiotic humans probably speculated over.
He did not.
The plaza itself was ordinary. Just plain gray cobblestones, slowly crumbing, surrounded by a short iron fence. Nothing special. The kind of plaza you’d expect to see any old statue on. But there, in the center, stood a statue of a human child, maybe nine or ten at most, hair trimmed short with messy bangs and topped with a crown of fresh golden flowers, wearing a dress of all things and standing on a pedestal reading “Commemorating the life and death of Georgina Abbott, 200X-201X.”
It clicked.
“Your parents were not exactly creative namers, you know.”
“What do you mean?”
“They just took half of each of their names and smashed them together.”
Asriel paused for a moment to work it out, then gasped.
“You’re right!”
“Of course I’m right. I am… your older sibling after all, correct? It’s my job to be right.”
“Where’d you get your name from, then?”
“My name?”
“You know, Chara! How’d your parents choose that name?”
They tensed, picking out their words carefully. “My… parents… did not choose that name.”
“Oh. Who chose it, then?”
“I did.”
He gasped again. “Really? You can do that?”
They merely shrugged in response.
“Maybe I should choose a new name! How about… Starslayer Moondragon?”
Chara brought their hand to their mouth, forcing back a laugh.
“Hey, it’s not that bad, is it?” He sighed. “…I-I like Asriel Dreemurr better anyways.”
“It suits you.”
Asriel smiled proudly. “It does. Still, it’s pretty cool your parents let you choose your own name!”
Their smile faded at the edges. They hesitated. “It was not… my original name.”
“What was?”
Chara paused, contemplative. “It was…”
“Flowey, it’s just a statue,” Frisk said, a tone of concern threaded through their voice. “You’re glaring at it like it killed your mother or something. Maybe calm down a bit? I get it, the statue’s kinda ugly and you don’t like it. Kinda figured that would be your reaction. But you look like you’re planning a murder. You’re scaring me a little.”
“You really don’t see it?” Frisk and Flowey were both caught off guard by the tremor in Flowey’s voice. He coughed to disguise it. “Either you’re acting oblivious, which is unlikely, or you’re just too plain stupid to recognize it.”
“I don’t under—”
“Of course you don’t. Even though you saw those memories—and you did see those memories, didn’t you?—you still can’t recognize them.”
“Recognize who? Come on, you’re not making any sense. It’s nothing to get this upset about.”
“Really? It’s nothing? Who are you to say it’s nothing? You don’t even recognize them. Even some monster who’s probably never seen them must have recognized them!” Flowey used a root to gesture with perhaps a bit more force than was strictly necessary towards the flower crown adorning the statue’s scalp.
Frisk’s eyes widened as they seemed to finally come to a realization. “Asriel—”
“You’ve got to be joking. Are you going to call them Georgina now, too?”
“I didn’t mean—”
“Didn’t you?”
Frisk bit their tongue.
“I can’t believe you humans sometimes,” Flowey said, voice cold as ice.
“But—” Frisk said softly, “this was built to honor their memory, wasn’t it? Even if it’s a bit… inaccurate… isn’t it nice that their parents had this whole statue built for them?”
“Chara told me… a bit about their life before they met me. Not a lot, but enough to give me the picture that their ‘parents’ weren’t the kinds of people to spend money getting a statue built for anyone. Especially not Chara. No, I’ll bet they had no hand in the making of this statue. I’ll bet you this was no more than a fear tactic. You yourself said it was supposed to be a deterrent to anyone trying to climb Mt. Ebott. Now why do you think that was?” Flowey didn’t let Frisk answer. “Because a monster had come down from the mountain. Because they didn’t want any humans interacting with monsters. It was never about Chara in the first place.”
Frisk narrowed their eyes, seeming to regain their voice. “So you’re upset because the humans in Ebott wanted to keep people from falling down a mountain to their deaths.”
Flowey hesitated. He wanted to argue that Chara’s death hadn’t been the monsters’ fault, that the deaths of the humans that fell had been justified. Before Frisk, he would have immediately declared that any human deserved to die. But after knowing them and knowing Chara, it was hard to believe all humans were truly deserving of death. “Okay, maybe… maybe the humans were right in warning people away from the mountain. But they had no right to use Chara as a figurehead. You don’t know how much they loved monsterkind. They would have hated this statue. Painting monsters as villains… Warning people away from the only place Chara called home… It’s like spitting on their memory. And the statue itself, its pose, the dress—they absolutely abhorred dresses—the whole thing paints them as some kind of angel, a martyr for a cause they never believed in.
“And maybe I have no right to say this. It’s not like I haven’t done worse than this, I know I have. But Chara… for all their faults, they don’t deserve this. They don’t deserve to be used.”
Flowey didn’t realize how much he was shaking until he finished talking. He knew he couldn’t feel passion—being soulless tended to do that to you—but talking freely about Chara, he felt something like a righteous passion blazing in him where a soul might otherwise lie. He doubted Frisk would understand. Of course, they would defend humans.
After lengthy pause, Frisk spoke. “As—” They swallowed. “No. Flowey. I get it.”
Flowey waited for the but. It didn’t come.
“It’s really not fair for anyone to use someone, let alone a kid, to support something they would be against. You’re right.”
That was… unexpected.
“And they appreciate it—that is, I’m sure they would appreciate it if they were here.”
There was a long silence. A soft breeze twirled its way throughout the park, rustling the leaves on the trees and causing the grass to sway. It touched the bright yellow petals of the buttercups, lifting off holding their soft scent. It brushed Frisk’s hair and gently set Flowey’s petals dancing.
Frisk looked up at the sun. “Mom’ll have my hide if I’m not back soon.” They held out their basket. “Do you want to…”
Flowey shook his head.
“Right, then. …I’ll be seeing you.”
Flowey heard the sound of their footsteps grow fainter as their walk became a jog and then they were gone, leaving him alone with the statue.
He noted the flower crown still lying crooked on their head. Golden flowers… The story of Chara’s dying wish had spread far across the underground. Clearly a monster had recognized this statue for who it was depicting, and decided to pay Chara some kind of tribute.
The flowers were as false as the statue. Flowey felt a smile crawl onto his face despite himself. Slowly, through a crack in the pavement next to the statue’s base, a buttercup sprouted. It was followed by another and yet another, crowding and piling until the base and the name were entirely covered. Vines dotted with yellow flowers twined across the bronze of the statue, constricting it in some parts.
Greenery and buttercups coated the statue, making it unrecognizable. This would likely be considered an absolute defacement of public art. Even if the plants were removed, it would be destroyed underneath.
Flowey smirked. Now that was proper tribute.

If not Sans then who would make the "banged your ex-wife" joke then who would? Who would be that ruthless? Flowey? A Rebellious Frisk? Definitely not Undyne or Alphys. Personally I imagine it to be an offhand remark by Papyrus where it's not quite certain whether or not he knows what he's saying. Papyrus can be surprising merciless with his words despite the cheerful tone he says it with. (He might even word it in a way that causes splash damage for all parties involved)
Flowey would make a joke about Asgore being miserable and alone, and probably imply that Toriel's friends don't truly care about her, sans included, but he would never say that to their faces or even think about the possibility of THAT guy dating HER for more than a few regrettable seconds. he would bitch to frisk tho.
frisk's dialogue options in gerson's shop in the epilogue don't seem to show any ill wishes towards asgore, quite the contrary. i don't really see a reason for them to treat him that way. ditto on undyne and alphys.
papyrus... hm, you do raise a good point. i think he wouldn't say something like that maliciously, but he would still step wayyy out of his lane just trying go get asgore and toriel to make amends, kinda like he did with undyne and frisk. and he would do that because "WELL MY BROTHER'S DATING YOUR LOOKALIKE SO WE'RE BASICALLY FAMILY RIGHT?"

Me Conta da Tua Janela
Tumblr media
Riem juntos e você entra no cubículo espelhado.
Chegando no 902, nota tudo bem limpinho e cheiroso.
Sente o celular vibrar no bolso e espia, receoso do outro conseguir ver.
chata do bloco 3: td pronto já tá liberado
"Aí, irmão." Chama a atenção de Johnny. "Minha irmã tá com problema lá, pô, o peixe dela..." Balbucia sem fazer sentido.
"Desde quando tua irmã te pede ajuda?" Indaga, completamente desinteressado, olhando os atrativos do shopping.
"É, cara, agendou lá um banho no peixinho." Que?
"Banho no peixe. Tu tá de marola?" Olha bem pra cara dele, entendendo tudo. "Se tu quer que eu vá embora pra pegar mulher, sabe que é só falar."
"Não, porra." Cutuca o braço do outro e ri, desengonçado.

I can't seem to find the exact post but I believe you said once that Tom didn't reset because it would undo the good he did. What was that good?
Sigh Okay. Before the ask, I have to give context about something to make the interpretation of a character make sense.
Back in 2015, when I saw the Snowdin Shopkepper, I didn't get that she was wearing a summer hat. Back then, I thought she was wearing something similar to a cowboy hat or something with that style. And because of some background objects like the treasure chest and the scroll, I thought she was a retired adventurer.
Tumblr media
And because Gerson selling the notebook and the glasses did fit with his theme, my belief in QC being a retired adventure got stronger because of her selling the bandanna and the glove, because I thought it was her theme of being a retired badass who just wanted to have a normal life.
So yeah, my old beliefs kind of affected how I create works with this character. (Because it was only a few days ago that I found out that her hat was a summer hat.)
So with that out of the way, I hope my interpretation of this character isn't something that came out of nowhere.
Now let me introduce you to QC back in Undertale Orange.
Tumblr media
QC is a a bunny that's desperate for money and she needed to get money fast. So she started to work has a bounty hunter after being rejected by the royal guards. She wants money because she and her sister are in a very bad spot financially and it doesn't help that her sister has a child.
Tumblr media
When she first sees Tom walking through the Snowdin Forest, she gets an idea. Get his soul and give it to the king to get a reward in money to help her family with the financial problem. Despite being a bounty hunter (the goal of bounty hunters is typically to return criminals to the justice system), she plans to kill Tom and give his soul herself to the king with no interference from the royal guard to gain more respect from the king and maybe get a bigger reward.
Since QC isn't good at on hand to hand combat (the reason why she got rejected by the guard) she decides to try to befriend Tom to gain his trust and later backstab him.
Tumblr media
As you may have guessed, She gets attached to the kid, and she then begins to question what she's doing. But in the end, she admits the truth. And if you read my last post, you would know how Tom's relationship with the other kids is, so it shouldn't be surprising that he doesn't get mad at QC for trying to trick him, because she just wanted to do that to help her family.
After finding out what happened to Lila, Tom knows that he can't just leave the underground or stay in hiding because that may cause problems for his new friends. So he decides to give his soul to QC to help her. She tries to protest it, but it's no use. She then accepts his soul and takes it to the king. She then gets a big reward in cash. So big that she and her sister are able to buy a building in Snowdin that they make into a shop and inn.
She then kept Tom's glove and bandanna in the empty treasure chest that had all the reward money, along with a photo of Tom and the other children that Tom had. Tom's final request is that his things should be given to the others if the barrier is ever broken. So she keeps them with her. Until one of the kids in the photo shows up in her shop. that being Frisk. She had no clue how to explain what happened without making her look like she's the reason that Tom's dead. So she just sells the items to Frisk, like if those were part of her stock, because she didn't want to make a kid with a knife angry at her. She pretends that she doesn't know that Frisk is a human because the dogs didn't sound the alarm of a human being in the area, so she knows that the royal guard doesn't know about the human, so she just pretends in case someone's listening. She's still pretending that Frisk is a monster after the barrier is broken, because even though Frisk "broke" the barrier, they don't deserve the title of hero, in her opinion. Because Frisk didn't have to sacrifice themselves… To her, Tom, it's the one that deserves that title.
Tumblr media
What she doesn't know is that she's doing to actually give that hero's welcome...
So to answer your question, Tom helped a family in need and was able to put them back on their feet. He did see himself on QC… Someone who goes through a lot just to show the people that they care… He wouldn't want someone to erase his happy ending if he was in QC's position... So he didn't reset.

Of course, Sea Tea has the most beautiful paper cup.
Patches in Gerson's shop are not the only ones in Underground! But it's the first one, and Frisk wants to fix their backpack as soon as it possible. Where should they put all their snacks, after all?
(Frisk sits in the corner of the room in case another customer comes to the shop.)

Note
Hey what if during that scenario where Alan accidentally time travels, meets Noogai, and runs away, he ends up escaping and hiding in Gerson's shop?
"You can't hurt me in here, human. You can't fight in shops lol"
"I'm not the human who's been hurting people, in fact that humans very nearly killed me and I escaped by chance. Wait, did you say it's impossible to battle here? Can I please hide here? I don't want to die I have kids to get back to and this is all terrifying!"
"wait... two humans in the underground? and one of them doesn't want to fight anyone? And is a parent??? Sure I guess"
PFT...
This is his hiding spot now. Can't get him here! He needs to live so he can get back to his kids!

@badmusejail
It had been several days since the zoo and the hotel and River had actually made that doctor's appointment when Gaster returned the two of them home. They'd even sent him a message (in the middle of a few pictures of random animals they'd seen while out and about and several various conversational messages).
River: Gaster, The doctor says my magic looks fine. Injury to skull healed up too. He said that having someone there to ground me right after seems to have helped quite a bit. Something about giving me something 'real' to focus on. Makes sense I suppose. Dearly, CHARON (River)
At some point they'd just started signing their messages to him with their actual name and didn't really bother to examine it too closely. Just seemed more natural that way.
Today's work had them in Gerson's shop though. His new shop. He'd finally found a place that seemed fitting and they considered the old turtle a good, dear friend and were more than willing to (as Gerson put it) 'take advantage of that lack of aging to help some old joints get some stuff moved around'. They smiled as they went to pick up another two of the chairs from the van out front.
"So anyways, like I was saying," the old turtle rambled on while grabbing a lighter box himself, "all these so-called charity organizations are well and good and all, been helping quite a few of the younger monsters yanno?" River nodded along appropriately and waited for Gerson's much slower walk down the van's ramp. "And that's nice and all but if they had the kind of problems b'fore that needed 'em you can see how that might mean we've got our work even more cut out for us."
"Indeed," River replied, moving down the ramp more gracefully once Gerson was safely back on the ground and chuckling at the old turtle's side-comment of 'show-off'. The banter like that between them was just part of their friendship. "It gives many of us hope to see some of the humans so strongly on our side, though."
As they went to place the chairs down and get the door, they said, "and I'm glad you finally found a shop 'suitably antique looking'."
