well, the point of terrorism is to frighten people, so if you remain cheerful and unbothered, it kind of takes away from the point of it, don't you think? if you remain bothered by <3000 people dying over two decades ago now- remember that at the height of the pandemic, ~2000 people were dying a day from the novel coronavirus- you're letting the terrorists dictate your thoughts. and you might just start a war in the middle east and end up with four and a half million people dead because you're disproportionately angry about a minute fraction of that number dying (in an attack nigh-completely unrelated to those in the middle east who perished.)

I JUST REMEMBERED -

I watched John Wick 2 with GERMAN DUB, I randomly found it on my playlist that I got where you can watch movies and series- anything and there was German dubbed version of John Wick 2 AND YALL-

GERMAN SANTINO IS A THING 😭

AND WHOEVER VOICED HIM DID A GOOD JOB ACTUALLY

But then something happened to the playlist and now I can't find it anymore 😭🔫 the playlist fucking died (I think there was even a French version on the list?)

And then I wanted to find JW 2 with Italian dub bc I know Riccardo obviously voiced Santino -

BUT I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE, only trailers on youtube

One thing i love about the Arknights Dub is that the Accents which is refreshing to hear then the average American Voice

And some of the Character Voices sound more fitting and unique with the Accent in the English Dub, then in CN or JP it make their Character feel more alive and real with our Real World out of USA with how majority of Arknights Characters are not American or Japanese

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits) ?

Honestly, I am so proud of every fic I wrote this year. Because I managed to write in english, which is so not my first language (and sometime words are hard and languages just kind of merge in my head and what I'm saying or writing doesn't make sense anymore), and because I managed to write on a tight time schedule (5 fics in two months, which three and a half of them were written in one month for Scottuary).

I guess that if I have to choose one tho, it would probably be (Help) I'm Alive. It was the first fic I wrote this year and that fic has history : I rewrote it a lot, discarded it because of frustration, worked on it again, put it on hold to work on developing other ideas, deleted almost everything, rewrote some sections, deleted other sections, paused it again to start writing another fic and came back to it hit by inspiration.

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year ?

Working with a beta reader, hands down.

I've told @scribeoffate several times that I was thinking about asking someone to be my beta reader to see if it was something that could work for me but my shy ass never acted on it. Until last December and it was like one of the best decision I made that month ? I definitely got more confident as grammar and spelling were correctly correct this time (and it was my biggest mental block when writing in another language).

And the back and forth was SO GOOD !! Maybe because I had like the greatest mind as a beta (@momentofmemory i'm forever grateful <3) but talking about some sections of fic, and how to make it more flowing was really great. Like Anatomy of Healing Aching Scars would not be the same without her. So yeah, a really good surprise.

Watching Dutch Zuko was all kinds of weird bc of the foreign language of course, but then also because I speak German and some of his dramatic monologue sounded vaguely German ahfjak. When he screams at the sky to strike him, it sounded like “schlag zu!” and the bit about it never having held back before was sort of like “haben noch nie gespart.” Yeah that was an experience lol ahdjsjsj. I feel like his VA did a pretty good job though, no? I‘d say it‘s dramatic, but pretty realistic lol (but then again, I also do not speak Dutch)

To me German sounds like a drunk person trying to speak Dutch so I’m glad the ‘vague feeling this is the right language but something is off’ vibe is mutual 🥰

Also I love Dante Basco’s Zuko, but I have to admit it took me a looong time to get used to it, because for so long *this* was the only Zuko I knew and I still believe it suits him really well!
