Okay so I gave in and watched the first episode. And I have three things to say!!

1.

This deer motherfucker did not deserve to die. It’s my favorite character, I named him Tonyo, and I got really sad when he did die because I love him and I wouldn’t be surprised by myself if I did a post with headcanons about him

2.

These two bitches are both amazing, until the very end for Marilka that is. Like, I’m Geraskier all the way, but I was actually shipping Geralt with Renfri a lot and I got happy when they kissed, and the tonal whiplash was something I was not prepared for. And Marilka was just such a sweet little girl, and reminded me of the girl from Box Trolls that just loves everything dark and bloody. I got genuinely sad when Renfri died, she was amazing.

3.

The way they went about Geralt’s character was just amazing. I was expecting a Mando kind of character, where he just reluctantly talked to people and mostly sulked, but he’s honestly so soft and earnest and I love him. We had a whole scene of him talking to his horse, and it was amazing. Like, I’ve made jokes that he looks like if Aragorn and Legolas has a child, but he apparently takes after his horse love from Aragorn and I’m not waiting for a fic where he is Aragorn and Legolas’ son. It probably exists tbh. And the last scene tore me open, like I’ve never wanted to be in a fictional world so badly as I wanted in that moment, just so I could hug this guy. Because he needs it, a lot. And the way he looked at Marilka after she demanded him to leave, like I felt that.

This will probably not be the last you see of me talking about this show on my blog, that’s for sure, because I will be in deep

I haven’t even watched The Witcher why the f am I scrolling though the Geraskier tag on Tumblr and searcing up Insecure!Jaskier Fanfiction. How did I get here. Mom please come pick me up I’m scared
