Demo Lovers already... this album feels short, no filler at all though which is great

The music from Demolition Lovers is inspired by a Bobby Womack song, and a Helium B-side called "I Am A Witch", which taught me guitar

Ok, enough of that. Conventional Weapons...

Boy Division... wrote this one after coming home from the MSG show. Played it with my buddies Tucker and Ryan before it became an MCR song.

It was originally called "Tokyo Death Squad". We played as a 3 piece.Ran a 60's red Mustang through a Diezel and it made my fillings rattle.

"Tomorrow's Money"...Man I've been mad about t-shirts for a long time apparently.

Ambulance... originally played with the same 3 piece. Vocals in the verse were way different back then. Chorus was the same.

"Ambulance" was completely written for the fans.

GUN! This song is great. Rich Costey helped early on and got a sick bass tone when we were writing. He also said "Play it fucking FASTER"

"Gun" was written after meeting many of the men and women who were wounded in Afghanistan, at V.A. hospitals. Very brave people.

"The World Is Ugly". Started writing this in a hotel room in Korea on the BP tour. One of my favorite sentiments ever.

Woah! Forgot about the robot voice at the end recalling the end of "...Vampires Will Never..."

"Light Behind" Thought about Bandit,our own mortality as a band,the friends,bands that broke up...wanted it to sound like "High Hopes" by PF

Kiss The Fuckin RING... another song about being in the band. Makes me think of Satan. Armies of HELL. Agents. LA.

Hahaha "Make Room". Man I was really pissed about being famous. What a great song though. CW should have sounded like The Stooges.

"Surrender The Night"...Has a "Helena" vibe. Lyrics remind me of something Geoff Rickly would write...(self compliment)

"Burn Bright". First played this for the Morrisons visiting from Scotland. Song about the band.

This song is intense...
