George Washington was a great lover of dogs, having raised many in his lifetime, including a Dalmatian that served as his coach dog, Madame Moose. I wanted to pay tribute to the man, both for his feats of heroism and leadership, and as a genuine person, a caregiver, and an animal lover. Therefore, I decided to parody one of his famous portraits with Mme. Moose at the head. I like to think it would have gotten a laugh out of him.
