Fix me - Matty Healy x f!reader

Based on this request.

A/N: Couldn't find a better pic, but I liked this one :)) Hope you enjoy!

“You’re a fuckin’ idiot.” George didn’t hesitate to express his current thoughts.

Matty walked, staring at his side profile, meanwhile he spat, “Can you keep your mouth shut, you twat?”

They had been quiet during the driving from Matty’s house to the nearest hospital. George was moving forward along Matty’s side, holding a white cloth secured around his friend’s hand. The drummer tried not to show entirely how annoyed he was with the situation. He knew Matty didn’t mean to sliced his finger, while cooking dinner for them, but coming to the ER wasn't his ideal plan for a Friday evening. 

“It amazes me how smart and fuckin’ dumb you can be at the same time.” George continued, slightly scolding Matty.

“Oh, really?” Matty’s voice dripping with sarcasm. “Want me to tell you what I think about you knobhead, ha?” his finger was hurting like a bitch, and George giving him shit for his actions wasn’t helping. 

They suddenly stopped at the front desk of the hospital area, without acknowledging the person at the other side. George and Matty were face to face, while the taller one held the cloth tight. 

“Please, be my guess-” the drummer encouraged his friend to keep talking.

“All right…”

Although, someone cleared their throat. The guy’s stunned faces turned to look at the nurse. “How can I help you, gentlemen?” she accentuated the last word in an ironic tone, making the guys blush as they were behaving like proper children. 

“Sorry.” Gorge was the first one to stated, Matty followed him close behind.

She didn’t waste one more second, her sight fell on Matty’s hand. The cloth was no longer entirely white, the blood was coming through. “What happened?” Y/n inquired.

Matty stayed in silence, admiring her features. She was young and visibly hot. The singer found himself feeling incredible nervous around her. The young nurse was very front forward, he wasn’t really used to girls like her. There was something unique about her. It made him look insecure. 

George made him snapped out of his daydreaming, hitting the back of Matty’s head slightly. George’s mate turned to gift him a look. 

Matty returned his sight to the nurse, “I cut my finger.” he simply said.

“How deep?”

“Very, very deep.” George interfered. Something about his tone rubbed Matty off. 

“Thank you, George.” Matty groaned.

“Please, fill this.” she gave G a paper to put Matty’s information in. 

G completed it as fast as he could. On the other hand, Matty watched the nurse taping the computer keyboard. 

Her hair was up in a messy bun, her uniform accentuated her body, and she didn’t have makeup on. He liked the natural aura she exuded. 

“Done.” George broke the silence.

George let her take the form from him, walking with the paper far from the desk. She said, without turning around, “Thanks. Follow me, boys.” she took a good look at the information.

The emergency room was small and very white, Matty thought, trying to focus on something else than his finger throbbing under the cloth.

The nurse instructed him to sit at the hospital bed, placing herself in front of him, almost between his legs. Matty felt the room got one degree hotter. 

“Let me see.” she asked, going to remove the fabric. “Oh, yeah…” Y/n exclaimed when her eyes found the wound. “Definitely, you’re going to need stitches.” she held his hand between hers. “Sorry, what’s your name?” Y/n inquired, looking up at his eyes, not letting his hand go. 

“I’m Matty.” he muttered.

George –interrupting the intimate moment– introduced himself, “And I’m George.” Y/n blushed, realizing Matty’s friend was in the room with them.

“Nice to meet you guys.” Y/n’s sight went from one to the other. “I’m going to call someone to fix your finger, alright?” she let Matty know. 

“Thank you, Y/n.” Matty said, watching her leave the room from the other door opposite to the one they came in. 

Y/n stopped with the door half open when her name came from Matty’s mouth. “How..?” she looked surprised. 

“Name tag.” Matty smirked at her.

“Right.” 

She left the room without saying anything more. 

Once she was out, George couldn’t help to laugh at Matty. His mate questioned him, “What?”

“Leave her alone.” G leaned backwards on the opposite wall, folding his arms. 

“I wasn’t doing anything.”

“Sure, mate.”

“Oh, come on! She’s fit…” 

“Matty…”

Matty’s mouth asked before he could stop the words from spilling out, “Ask her if she’s single.”

“I’m not going to do that, idiot.” George answered to his request, while he put his hood up.

“Please, I’ll pay you for it.” Matty begged.

“No.”

“Please.”

The small fight was interrupted by Y/n’s return, “Okay, everyone is busy. Big car crash.So, lucky you…I’m going to do it myself.” she informed Matty.

“Perfect, not complaints from me.” he winked his right eye. 

George rolled his eyes, “Excuse him, Y/n. Sometimes he behaves like a four-year-old.” he excused his friend.

Y/n chuckled, “Are you mates?” she tried to know, going to get all the things she needed to fix Matty’s finger. Y/n tried to not feel nervous, or even show how restless she really was. 

“Sadly, yes.” the drummer replied.

“And ‘m the child…” Matty protested, following Y/n’s form.

“Okay, time to work.” Y/n left the supplies at Matty���s side, proceeding to take his hand. “I’m going to clean the wound, yeah?” she checked with him. 

“Do your worst, Y/n.”

She started to clean the wound with so much care, paying attention to his little sounds and movements.

“What were you trying to do when you…?” Y/n interrogated Matty.

“When I chapped my finger?” Y/n laughed, going to throw away the used gauzes. 

“Yes.”

“Cooking dinner.”

“Oh, you know how to cook?” Y/n returned to his side. 

Matty felt proud of himself, “Yep, I can make something for you, if you want…” he suggested.

“Very kind from you.” Y/n tried to dodge his proposal. 

Next, Y/n took the needle and thread, going to star the real fixing. She tried to stabilize her shaking hand.

“If it hurts too much, let me know, and I’ll anaesthetise the area.” Y/n let him know everything she was going to do before every one of her actions. 

“Okay, Y/n.”

Her hand continued to shake, not matter how hard she tried. Y/n ignored it and went to pinch his finger with the needle. Before Matty could feel anything, Y/n moved slightly backwards. Matty frowned, looking at her hesitate.

“G, can you go and get me some snacks?” he asked without taking his eyes from Y/n.

“What?”

“Snacks, George. Now!” he urged him out of the room.

“Okay, okay.” G stomped out, leaving the pair alone.

“Hey,” Matty moved his good hand, reaching for her right hand. “What’s wrong?”

Y/n felt embarrassed to admit, “It’s my first time.”

“Fixing someone?” Matty drew circles on her skin, trying to distract her. 

“Stitching a real person.” Y/n shared with him.

“I’m taking your stitching virginity?” Matty regretted speaking when Y/n contracted his face. “Sorry, joking…”

“I know, I know…and yeah, you’re taking my-”

Matty interrupted her, “Please don’t complete the phrase. ‘m so stupid, sorry.” Matty hid his face behind his good hand.

“It’s alright. I’m going to-” Y/n encouraged herself to keep going.

“Come on, you can do it! I believe in you.” he cheered for her, which she found it charming.  

“Here I go.”

Y/n took a big breath, focusing again on his finger. 

When she pierced his skin with the needle, Matty hissed. “Hurts?” she inquired. It really did hurt, but Matty tried to be brave and macho with the pain. 

“A little.” he let Y/n know grudgingly. “I have a lot of tattoos, so I’m used to this.” It wasn’t anything similar to get a tattoo.

“That’s really cool, I always wanted to get one.” Y/n made conversation with him.

“You should.”

Even though the conversation was short. Y/n wasn’t stupid, and she knew the procedure was painful. 

Matty grew anxious with the silence, so he admitted, “Never thought I’d witness you getting nervous.”

Y/n looked up, taking a break Matty thanked in silence. She crooked her eyebrow, silently asking.

“Don’t know…I judged you by how you cut our shit out there.” 

Y/n chuckled. “Do you guys bicker that much?”

“Nah, George is pissed I forced him to take me here and waste the night.”

“That’s a shame. I can feel he’s a good mate.”

“He is, definitely.”

Y/n continued to work. Matty stared at her puckered forehead and the tip of her tongue coming slightingly between her lips. She looked fabulous, all focused on him.

“You’re doing amazing.” he tried to motivate her.

Y/n tried to mess with him, “Shut up, you know nothing about this.” but it came all wrong.

“You don’t know me, sweetheart. I’ve cut fingers, knees, and a lot of places of my body multiple times.”

“I’m sorry…was stupid to assume that.” she apologized.

“Y’know…you can get to know me.” Matty made his try to ask her out, more obvious this time.

“Oh, really?”

“If you want…”

“Did you flirt with every nurse that fixes your wounds?”

“Only with the pretty ones, and I’ve only encountered one…tonight.”

“Your girlfriend don’t mind?” Y/n stared at his eyes. 

“Sweet of you to assume I’m taken.” Matty smiled at her without breaking eye contact. “For your information, I’m single…had been for a long time now.”

“Mmm.”

“What? Don’t you believe me?” Y/n started to finish her work, feeling better with herself. 

“I have eyes, Matty…”

“Does your partner mind you flirting with patients?” It was his time to ask if she was taken or not.

“He doesn’t.” Matty’s stomach sank with her replied. He was really hoping she was single. “I’m kidding, I’m kidding. I’m single, if you so want to know.” Y/n rapidly said.

“That was rude.” Matty pouted. “I’m not sure any more if I want to ask you out now…” he teased her.

“Oh, really? Were you thinking about it?”

“Since I first saw you.” Y/n cheeks turning red was the best encouragement for him.

“Cute.” 

“Yeah, you.” he kept going.

Y/n cut the thread, wrapping his finger on a clean gauze, finishing with her work.

“Alright, charmer. All done.” she said, taking a step backwards.

Matty checked his finger, “You were nervous? This is the best work I’ve seen.”

“So full of shit you are.” she dared to say.

Matty snorted. “That’s not a nice way to talk with a patient.”

“Are you only a patient?” Matty watched her fold her arms in front of her. She was so cute in his eyes.

“I hope I’m not just another patient for you.”

Y/n analysed Matty, still seated at the hospital bed. 

“Give me your phone.”

The singer only managed to give her his phone, without muttering a single sound. She could be so extroverted and so introverted at the same time. The duality amazed him.  

Y/n saved her contact in his phone, and then said, “There. Gotta get back to work, Matty.” 

“I’ll call you, Y/n,” he said, moving the device in the air. 

“Okay.” she smiled at him, and start to leave the room. 

Matty shouted from behind her, “Wait for my call.” coming to his feet.

She turned around, “Sure.” Y/n didn’t sound so convinced.

Matty left the emergency room, founding G seated not so far away. 

“So?” the drummer inquired.

Matty, proud of his actions, exclaimed, “Got her phone number.” 

“Was asking about your finger!” George stood up. “Really?” he asked.

“Yeah, she’s amazing.” Matty started walking down the hall towards the exit.

“Can see that.” Matty’s friend poked him. 

Once in the car, George started talking about some random history while he waited. Matty didn’t listen to him. He opened his text, pressing to start a new conversation. 

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I can't call you during your shift, can I? x Matty

It took her a minute to answer.

No, you can’t. I have my break in 5 minutes though... x Y/n

Matty smiled looking out the window.

Mc: one time Asra put a glass of milk on the table in front of me and I meant to ask them 'who's milk is this?' because I wasn't sure if it was for me or if they were putting it down on the table to go grab something else and I just stared down at the milk and said 'who's this?' and they turned around and without missing a beat said 'that's your new friend mr.milk' then we stared at each other for a solid twenty seconds before they asked if I was high.

emilia in got especially was one of the prettiest people in the world imo she was ethereal. if I were her you wouldnt be able to pry that white wig off of me.

she was gorge later too but her styling was harsher and Dany looks prettiest in more feminine flowy styles. her blue dress from season 2 is a standout but I also love her more queenly outfits from season 5.

I liked her more structured pieces actually, but they really did nail that completely ethereal, almost inhumanly beautiful look for her. I mean, a lot of the Targaryen actors look fantastic, George really had it right when he picked platinum hair because it really does make almost everyone look angelic, but Emilia was just head to toe perfect in almost every scene.

The Gilded Age, Ep. 2x07 – Wonders Never Cease (Spoilers)

I got to admit, while I still enjoy the actors and the characters, I really feel like the writing has taken a step back this season.  Peggy’s story is still interesting and so is George’s.  Bertha’s, most of it is good, except for Winterton (and I think that has to do with the fact that I’m not particularly fond of how the actress plays the character).  Every other storyline has been predictable and boring. 

John is invited to be part of the clockmakers society and now can be considered for a patent.  The Vallet’s daughter tells her father that she did not know he was being run out of town and is coming up with a plan to make sure he can stay and not be a Vallet.  No one cares.

The episode can be broken up into three parts.  The first, are the last few days leading up to the opening of the Brooklyn Bridge.  The second is the day of the opening.  The third is the night/morning after of the opening.

The Days Before:

Marion is clearly unsure about her engagement to Dashell, although she’s convinced herself this is a good match.  The family has an engagement lunch at the Van Rijhn’s; but then Forte is taken ill.  Yes, it’s TV Show Cancer and so, even though he looks perfectly healthy, he will be dead by the end of the episode.  He’s taken upstairs to rest.

Ms. Astor has let Bertha know that she has procured a box at the Music Hall for Bertha.  Bertha says she will have to check with her husband first.  George points out that Bertha will be a founder of The Met and that puts her in a better position than with just the box.

Larry tries to convince one of the trustees, that they should recognize the wife as the builder of the bridge.  Larry is shot down. 

Peggy is helping find a way to deal with the school closures.  The leader of the fight says the only way to fight may be to integrate the schools and that also means they would have to hire white teachers.  Peggy’s father points out that the only way white teachers and parents would listen to such an idea is if another white person talked to them.  Peggy is able to get Marion to come speak to an integrated meeting.  One white male teacher tells the group that he would be willing to work at the school, that he could get other teachers, and students as well.  The problem is, all of these people are Irish and if you know about how Irish immigrates were seen as back then…let’s just say this is not exactly the win that they needed.  They’re white, but not the right white. 

And they are turning George into more of a Robber Barron than I thought.  George has agreed to many of the terms of the Union, except only some people get a raise for six months.  His hope is that, in the end, the Workers Union will split apart.  Specifically, he set it up so that Protestant Faith workers, who would be a good portion of the workers, will turn against the Immigrants, Catholics, and Jews.  Boy is this episode a social lesson. 

The Day of:

At a meeting, Ms. Astor tells everyone that Bertha will be taking a box at the Music Hall.  Bertha turns her down.  This, of course, embarrasses Ms. Astor and, yeah, this won’t be good.

The other business men are angry at Gorge and say he’s on his own.

Ada is told that her husband is about to die.  Agnes and Forte make peace.  Agnes sends for Oscar, but no one can find him. 

The reason no one can find Oscar is because he had a chance encounter with George.  Long story short, Oscar tells George the company he invested in (another railroad company) and Gorge tells him that company doesn’t exist.  Turns out Miss Beaton doesn’t either.  She’s fleeced Oscar.  I wondered if this is where the story was going but…I don’t know, the way they introduced Beaton into the story made it seem like people actually knew her family; not just what Beaton had told them.

That night:

At a private reception, Bertha sees Ms. Astor with the Duke and realizes that she’s stolen him away from Bertha.

Larry, at the same party, is able to tell people about how a woman built the bridge.  But since it’s at a private party, everyone will ignore it and she will be forgotten.

 Forte dies overnight.  Dashell, who stayed at the house, leaves for the day.  After he leaves, Larry sees Marion and she tells him what happened.  They go for a walk.

Oscar comes to the house and admits to Agnes that he’s been swindled.  It’s almost all of their money.  Why do I have a feeling the family will be "saved" because Forte had money and no one knew about it?

I found a point at the It Pennywise McDonald’s you’ll float too Halloween shirt depth at which I could stand and stood there. The water level was up to the neck, great for a start. Then I put my clothes in order. While I was swimming, my clothes moved out of place where they should be. Perhaps only socks and sneakers remained in their place. My jeans and panties moved to the sides (they were difficult to straighten, through the jeans under water), the T-shirt was pulled up.

Picturesque Views and Personal Faves: Hike Mount Twin (North Peak), Eisenhower, Moosilauke, and Carter Dome

Mount Twin, North Peak - Elevation: 4761 ft 

Difficulty Level: The North peak of Mount Twin is a moderate hike. By adding the South Peak of Mount Twin (will discuss next week), the hike will become more difficult, as this peak bagging opportunity lengthens the trek by 1.3 miles. 

Trail:  Hikers can summit the North Peak of Mount Twin via the North Twin out and back trail. They can also continue and summit South Twin on this same trail. AllTrails links below:

Mount Eisenhower - Elevation: 4780 ft

Difficulty Level: With Mount Eisenhower, we return to a more easy - moderate hike. This hike is another one of my absolute favorites. You can peak bag Mount Pierce (that is the route that I took), and then hit Eisenhower. Or, you can just hike Mount Eisenhower for a shorter, more direct route. I guarantee that no matter which way you choose, you are guaranteed an awesome hike and an amazing experience.

Mount Moosilauke - Elevation: 4802 ft

Difficulty Level: Mount Moosilauke is a difficult hike. I can also attest to this rating from personal experience. Not only is it a longer hike, but the peak is above tree line, meaning it has a bald summit. In fact, the name “Moosilauke” means “bald place” in the indigenous language of Abenaki. If hiking in the winter, please be sure to pack multiple layers, and be prepared for exposure to wind.

Below is a picture of my boyfriend and I from the summit during the winter. After this photo was taken, we promptly hiked below the tree line to shield ourselves from the elements.

Carter Dome - Elevation:  4832 ft 

Difficulty Level: With Carter Dome, we round off the Carters. This is considered a moderate - difficult hike. Please note that there is not much of a view at the peak, rather scenic outlooks along the way. As always, please be mindful of the weather before you summit. Winter specifically in the White Mountains can be unforgiving and extremely dangerous. Always know when to turn around and finish your hike another day.

Day 7, Gudauri, 14th May

We had a fabulous day today. If the weather had been sunny our day would have been completely different as the views would have been spectacular but it was very cold, near zero degrees and actually snowing some of the time but that made it all a bit unique. From the ski village we are staying in we headed towards the Georgian Russian border travelling on the only official road through the mountains. The mountains were just beautiful and pretty high. There were a couple of old monasteries along the way which we visited and we also stopped to look at the views at monuments and taste some fizzy mineral water coming out of the hillside. Everyone is travelling really well together now we know each other better and I upgraded myself from the backseat to the front jump seat so I had a great view of everything. No one else was sitting there. We were hit with wind and snow at our first stop.

This monument represents 200 years of the relationship between Russia and Georgia. It’s from 1783 to 1883. It had a backdrop of beautiful snow capped mountains.

These crosses were on top of the mountain and are for Germans who died here. Some had been sent back to help restore roads that had been destroyed in WWII. It would be a very harsh environment to work in.

It was freezing on top of the mountains so we were all rugged up. You can see the flakes of snow.

These are sweets, protein sticks made locally. They consist of nuts with honey or dried fruit covers. Soldiers would carry them as they don’t go off and they provide a lot of protein

These tunnels are only used in the winter time when the roads are covered with snow.

The Georgian flag has a white background with a big Red Cross which is the cross of St George symbolising Jesus Christ, while the four smaller ones represent the four evangelists. Overall, the crosses symbolise the religiosity of Georgia.

This is the Darial Gorge which is the border between Georgia and Russia. It is a very busy border crossing being the only one and having to deal with hundreds of trucks each day. Georgian’s have to have a visa to enter Russia but not the other way around. At the start of the Ukraine War 150,000 Russian’s crossed in a couple of days. You can just see the Georgian flag in the distance.

Near the border is the Dariali Monastery Complex which was built between 2005 and 2011. The priests make wine as well.

Services are held in this church that last for three hours and everyone has to stand up during that time. The priest all had long shaggy beards.

Also in this area is the more famous and more photographed Gergeti Holy Trinity Church. Sitting high up in the mountains it is often featured as a symbol of Georgian tourism. It was built in the 14 th century and is the only cross cupola church in Khevi province. We had to change vehicles to get up the steep track to the church but unfortunately it was snowing and foggy so we missed the spectacular views from so high up. There are five monks that live there. Inside the church were some very beautiful religious icons. To enter these religious places you have to cover your heads and the women have to wear what looks like an dark blue apron..

This was a very Georgian looking icon as they are painted with big eyes.

There was a field of different types of stone bought in from other places that had been carved by an 83 year old man. This was the face of Jesus curved in granite.

This line of trucks must have gone on for over 5 kms. The trucks are waiting to cross the border which can take anywhere between one day or a week depending on their paperwork. The drivers sleep in the cabins. It was very cold so not much fun. It was pretty incredible to see.

An avalanche had happened at this tunnel blocking the road so traffic had to use the tunnel.

The sun just started to peak out as we got closer to our hotel.

So there appears a retcon of Dick’s history on Earth-22 has taken place. 

(At least, it would make his daughter’s codename Nightstar more logical, if her parents were Starfire and Nightwing rather than Robin/Red Robin. And in the comic The Kingdom: Nightstar from 1999, a younger Dick is seen with a Nightwing-like suit.)

HC: Call This The ‘Can This Man Cook’ Section

(….. I don’t think these men can cook 😔)

First post pog :D I wrote a majority of these super late at night, so please forgive and let me know of any mistakes you find <3 Also, it’s a little long lol

Characters: Dream, George, SapNap, Badboyhalo, Wilbur, Technoblade, Philza, Quackity, Fundy, Schlatt.

Warnings: None, except for a kinda risqué comment in Philza’s. Oh and I guess there’s mentions of eating meat in case someone wants the warning :3

From best to worst:

#1: BadBoyHalo-

Bad is the best at cooking on the server. He is the creme of the crop, absolute top one percent, king shit at cooking.

He can cook, bake, and temper chocolate perfectly, what more could you want?

His favorite to-go recipes are cheesy garlic bread and a special spicy chicken and rice recipe which he typically makes when the boys are over at his house for the night. When he’s with you he goes for something a little smoother, some mulled sweet berry cider with a smoked cod fillet, eaten under the light of candles while you quietly chat about life and your fellow friends. It’s always one of Bad’s most anticipated hangouts, and he’s very careful about planning when it comes to those days.

While he appreciates being complimented on his food or his skills, deep down he wants to have someone to cook and share his knowledge with so the cooking process becomes much richer. He’s cooked for so long and learned so much, but it means nothing if he can’t share it with another person. The moment you come to him and ask him for help on any kind of recipe, he’ll drop almost everything to help you.

Side note; he absolutely carried lunch and dinner for his fellow DTeam members. While Sapnap would mostly take over breakfast, Bad would be hounded by begging puppy looks from these adult men who couldn’t cook and kind of just sigh and get the ‘kiss the cook’ apron ready. It’s not like he hates it or anything, but the endearing factor kinda slips off after a few years of adult men groveling.

(Bad’s hands rest over yours, dwarfing them entirely as he helps you cut the pasta sheet straightly. “There you go!” He encourages, squeezing your hand gently and stepping away, moving back to dice the vegetables on the cutting board next to you. A comfortable silence falls, and with it comes something in Bad’s heart softening. The worries and exhaustion in his mind ease, and he slips into a contented routine of finely chopping and slicing. It’s been a while since he’s felt so calm. There’s nothing that can ruin this- 

The front door slams open. Footsteps walk in and approach the kitchen and you both hear it, 

“Baaaaaaaaad.” Bad cringes, taking a step back.

“Baaaaaaaaaaad, we’re hungry.” Sapnap. 

“Yeah Bad, feeeeeeeed uuuuuuus.” George. 

And then, from around the door frame, a white mask peeks in. Nobody says a word, but you can feel Bad deflate next to you like let go balloon. 

“It’s alright, big guy.” You laugh, grabbing his forearm and leaning up against him. His sad puppy eyes make you smile a little, and you try to reassure him. “We can hang out alone another time. Let’s keep working on the pasta.” He sighs, but still returns your smile. “Yeah, another time.”)

#2: Philza 

Sigh…. he can cook. Not quite as good as Bad can, but better than Quackity. A solid second place. It stems mainly from being so knowledgeable that he just knows and has tried so many different foods, but since he doesn't actually do much cooking, I'm making him a flaky second place.

Doesn’t mind cooking, but doesn’t love doing it either. He’s always focused on so many different things that he’ll forgo eating to keep working on what he’s doing. He mostly cooks for Techno and Ranboo or the few guests (you) they seem to receive. Makes great stew, and even better roasted chicken, is absolutely immaculate when it comes to cooking bird.

He didn’t teach Wilbur or Techno shit! I wish I could say it’s because he wanted to but just couldn’t, but he was literally like “hmm. Im a little busy now, maybe next year” every year!! But, this being said, if you ask him to make something with you or teach you how to cook a particular dish, he will agree to help you. Old age has really mellowed him out, and after certain events, he realizes he needs to stay a bit closer to those he cares about from now on.

He likes sweets well enough, and will always thank you for any gifts you make for him. Along with growing older, he’s had time to lose his pickiness he had in his youth. If he does end up cooking with you, he’ll prefer doing the harder recipes over easy ones. He will lose it laughing if it turns out bad, so don’t worry about any disappointment (his children make up enough of that ^^).

(“Now,” Phil starts, washing his hands quickly as you wait for him next to the cutting board. “Pufferfish needs to be prepared perfectly, or we will die when we eat it. But I don’t need to explain to you how a pufferfish works, now do I?” 

When you shake your head no, he comes up behind you, tarnished wings bound and hair pulled up in a pony tail. 

“The meat of a pufferfish is very delectable, and much better with a glass of wine.” He grins cheekily, “ If this works out well, which I’m sure it will, dinner will be delicious.” 

It falls quiet for a second, and as your hesitantly looking over the fish that may be your last, you gasp when you feel him press up against you back and rest his chin on your shoulder. “Maybe there’ll be other delicious things to eat as well,” He murmurs into you ear, before leaning back and busting out laughing. Your face feels stupidly hot. Dilfza quest activated.)

#3: Quackity-

Quackity:

Quackity can cook. I know!! I’d say he’s like the third best cooker on the list. And he’s not half bad at baking either.

He likes making up stupid bad recipes and trying them out with you, even if at the end of it the one of you up chucks your damned creations the hour after. Despite his reigning need for chaos though, he knows how to make a decent amount of recipes and strives for praise when he’s actually putting forward effort. He’ll arrange little dinner dates (“A handsome man and his very pretty friend, good food made by yours truly, and La Chona, what do you say, baby?”) and will sit there with a 🥺 look on his face until you tell him if you liked it or not.

He tries to act like he’s unaffected by your words, but even a small, “That was really good.” will make him turn red and giggle like a schoolgirl. He tries to play it off, but it’s easy to tell he loves the complements. Will also never tell you anything you make is bad. You are a deity descended upon  minecraft Earth and he is but your prettiest disciple who will uphold your honor and treat you like you should be treated!!!! But he’ll then promptly choose to help you with and guide you into cooking/baking better ^^; He loves you!

As for baking, he really likes making cakes because of how simple they can be. It helps calm him down when he can just slip into bake mode and follow a recipe and make something nice at the end of it. Speaking of, he also has a sweet tooth, but not quite as bad as Techno does. Any sweets or food you make for him is always eaten, and always held in high regard. Will try to entice you into feeding him 👀👀 so watch out.

(He’s doing it again. You try to avoid looking directly at the dopey lovesick smile Quackity has on his face at the moment, but as you lift the fork up, you get a better idea. 

You look at him (to which he seems to melt a little under your gaze), look at the fork, and then back to him, raising the piece of cake up to his lips. His expression turns flabbergasted and his blush deepens. 

He doesn’t seem to believe you for a second, until you nudge the cake close and flash him a smile. Then it’s like a switch has been flicked; he giggles, blushing, and eats the cake right off the fork. He’s gone back to smiling that silly smile again, this time even brighter, but it’s okay. You try to ignore the way your heart speeds up in your chest when he begs you for another piece.)

#4: Schlatt-

Another cooker~! He specializes with formal dinners more than anything else, and adores a good steak.

During his presidency, he didn’t cook very often. Quackity and you had to keep him fed through most of it, and the memory of watching you cook in his kitchen while he looked over work papers at his dining table leaves a mark on him, sealing a new crave for domesticity that he hadn’t ever wanted before.

Sometimes he would cook though. You, Quackity, and Tubbo would all gather around and eat together every once in a blue moon, when Schlatt was sober and calm. It feels tense at the table but also not in a way? Schlatt always seems to be chillest during dinner, a mix of the alcohol wearing off and the emphatic family feel that comes with Tubbo, Quackity, and you surrounding him.

He loves cake! It’s one of the few desserts he’ll eat, but you have to watch him closely or he’ll gorge himself of the treat. Indulge him and invite him to make a cake with you, and it will be one of the most interesting bakes of your life. How Schlatt got three eggs to stick to the ceiling is beyond you, but the look in his eyes tells you he’s completely fucking sober and hamming up his own cluelessness. You probably wouldn’t have even noticed if it weren’t for him hiding all the other eggs around your kitchen as well. How did he get one on the top of your door without it falling when you opened it? That’s between him and god.

Overall, a good 4th place on the list.

(“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Schlatt says, deadpanned, looking you right in the fucking eyes with an undisturbed egg sitting perfectly straight on his head. 

“Where are the eggs, Schlatt.” 

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” 

“Schlatt.” 

“Yes.” 

The container you kept them in is completely empty on your kitchen counter, once full of eggs but now reduced to a desolate husk of its former glory. Speaking of former glories, your president turns around, arms crossed and stands there silently. 

You look around. Theres one in the door handle of in the pantry, another wedged between two slices of bread in your bread box, and- oh god. On the fucking ceiling. Three, stuck to the ceiling, unmovable. After a full minute of dead silence you manage a “What the fuck have you done?”, and Schlatt turns to look. 

“Oh hey. There they are.” Your mind turns into a rock, shatters, and crumbles into dust.)

#5: Dream-

Honestly if you’re looking for edible food that tastes range from ok to good Dream is your man. 5th place.

He knows a lot of ‘depression era’ type recipes just because he’s pretty homeless and his man hunts don’t allow him much time to hone his skills. Stuff like bread or mushroom stew comes easy to him after so many times of having to do it on the run. Bread is the only baking he won’t screw up.

Can cook meat well enough too, but doesn’t really do anything special to it (besides his sauces).

To elaborate: Over the unknown span of his life, he’s acquired these recipes for forgotten and questionable sauces that he’ll store in little jars and leave at your house for you to use. They’re odd, and the ingredients aren’t ever what you think might be edible, but they’re surprisingly tasty none the less. He likes to show you a new one every month or so to keep things fresh.

Pretty general about sweets, but has a severe love for chocolate, especially dark chocolate. Has never had one, but dreams about chocolate cake. It’s high on his bucket list and written another four times over.

One of his favorite things to do with you is bake, mainly because of how ruinous it always turns out. No matter your skill, Dream’s vibes decimates any luck the two of you will have while baking. It’s scientifically proven. You left the cupcakes in for a minute-JUST a minute over what they should’ve been and they came out rock solid. Dream tried to eat one anyway. Best part was watching him try to bite through the shell.)

(He thinks he’s over selling it, half-gnawing on the brown cupcake (it was supposed to be vanilla, he thought) and making stupid growls when his teeth barely break through the surface, but the feeling he gets when you start laughing hysterically next to him wipes away any negative thought he had and fills him with utter joy. 

It's very late into the night, and you’re both a little loopy, but all the while you still lean against him as you giggle, the spot tingling where your hand rests on his arm. 

His heart thumps crazily, before sinking. Oh god. He’s in love with you.)

#6: Technoblade-

Knows a lot, but very little. He can cook the meat perfectly fine, but there’s a difference between being cooked and tasting good. He doesn’t know how to season them. Salt is the bare minimum you get.

6th place ^^; sorry king.

He’s good with potatoes though. I like to think that the countless hours spent potato farming had to account for something. He likes having cheese and butter on them every once in a while, but for the most part just eats them salted like an animal. It’s practically a show to watch him eat a cooked potato in three bites without anything but salt on it.

Big man loves food though, even if he doesn’t eat like it. Steak and cooked fish are high on his list of foods, but only if it’s cooked by Philza. And eventually you fall into his “I trust to eat this from you” category as well, but he has a special place in his heart for Phil’s cooking. Rabbit stew is at the very top.

He also eats a lot, being 6’10 and 200 something pounds of muscle, gotta consume quite a bit to keep him moving.

As for the sweeter variety of food, he’s got a massive sweet tooth. The moment you make him an apple pie or honey candy or anything of the like, he’s immediately enamored with you. Sweet things are hard to come by on the smp, especially with how far out he lives, but it’s a secret weakness of his that is very easily exploitable.

(You’ll be the death of him, he thinks, watching you closely as you trudge your way through the freshly fallen snow towards his house. Your normal pack is lighter than it usually looks, and he worries that you may slip and hurt yourself on the ice before you make it to the door. But still, you keep walking until you're standing at his doorstep, fist raised to knock when he opens it for you. 

You look surprised for a second, and then a grin splits your face and his heart races. 

“I can’t stay for long,” you say, having spent at least 30 minutes to get there. “But I wanted to drop this off for you before you went out to hunt again.” 

Out of the bag, you pull another smaller leather bag and hand it to him gently. It rests heavy in his palm, and for a moment he’s sure it’s ender pearls that you’ve brought him. But still he opens it, and he’s immediately taken aback by the smooth golden candies you brought him. 

“They’re honey candies.” At this point you’re practically grinning. “I thought you might like some while I was making them last night.” 

He doesn’t have to see his own face to feel the deep blush setting in on his cheeks and ears. You…. you’re so…… sweet. You are very…. sweet, he admits to himself, and he is very not attached to you. Not at all.)

#7: Fundy and Sapnap tie.

Fundy- 

Has his old man's cluelessness but is a fast learner. He doesn’t have much time to expand his food repertoire so it’s pretty much the basic stuff that he’s eaten during the war or before that when he was younger.

He really likes cooking though, and will invite you to come cook with him for dinner or lunch if he wants to hang out. When they were together, Dream had given him an old dusty cookbook that had several recipes he hadn’t ever heard of before, so that’s where most of what he tries to make comes from. His favorite to date was a special mutton dish that he asked you to try with him on his last birthday. It was just the two of you, but he had never had so much fun before.

Doesn’t like eating fish however, there’s just some bad vibe he gets when he thinks about cooking one or catching one. (Desperately ignores the fish fucker. Desperately ignores the fish fucker. Despera-)

Loves sweet berries as treats, seeing as that’s the only sweet thing he grew up with. Not too big on other sweet flavors. Likes honey in his tea though.

7th place cooker, will get higher as he learns more dishes.

(He raises his wine high with a laugh, clinking your glass with it as you both giggle drunkenly. 

The lamb you had cooked together turned out amazing, juicy and tender and flavored with crimson fungus juice. The recipe was from an old cookbook he had, he faintly remembers telling you, hiding the fact that it was Dream’s cookbook that he was given after a particularly nasty argument. 

He doesn’t want to think about him, especially not while he’s with you. Especially not when it’s his birthday. 

So instead he ponders the trip through the nether he took with you to harvest some of the fungi, how the juice was tangy and slightly bitter, but how it had done wonders when basted onto the meat while frying. 

You had looked so happy when you two plated the dish, so proud of him, all in a way that Dream never was. 

Even now, as you tiredly smile at him from across the table, cheeks pink and eyes focused solely on the moment you were sharing, he feels at peace for once. This is what contentment felt like. Oh, how he loves you so.)

Sapnap-

Shame the shit cooker. Ok ok, he’s not as bad as some of the others on this list, but that’s just because he can make a half decent breakfast. It’s not much competition.

Bad has desperately tried to teach this boy some cooking besides eggs and toast, but the only things that seem to have stuck are mashed potatoes and grilled pork chops. Neither of which he even likes enough to make often.

He prefers fish to meat, and would eat any kind of cod you offered to him. Likes smoked salmon a lot, it’s something Bad made for him a lot when he was younger. He tries to recreate the dish, but comes up short and feels disheartened when it isn’t like Bad’s. He’d appreciate any time you took with him to learn how to make the dish, and it wholly sticks to his mind afterwards. He never forgets the experience, and treasures it very closely.

Likes not-sweet sweets. Not bitter per say, but just not very sweet. He likes chewy taffy in particular, but the old lady kind that lasts 60 years but gets hard in 6 minutes after being exposed to open air. Gotta be polite about it too, or he’ll end up embarrassed and pout for an hour.

(He’s eaten 6 of those fucking taffies since you sat down on the couch, completely straight-faced as the two of you of you listen to Dream and George talking. 

At this point you’re completely checked out of their conversation, solely focused on the taffy Sapnap keeps eating. Where does he even get those? How many does he have?? You’ve been friends with him long enough to have seen him pop a taffy every other second of the day. He seems to have a stash on him at all times tucked away, filled with paper-wrapped pastel covered sweets. 

“Want one?” Sapnap asks, holding out a light blue taffy with a little star drawn in yellow dye on the wrapper. 

“What?” Startled, you lean back a bit and realize you had been staring him down as he ate, and flush with how rude that probably seemed. 

“Want a taffy? I don’t mind sharing with you, cutie.” He winks and offers the taffy again. “....” You gaze at the taffy curiously. You’ve never seen him offer another person one of his precious taffies before. Hmm. “...Yes, thanks.” 

You take it delicately, unwrapping the wrapper and taking a bite of it experimentally. It’s very lightly sweet, soft and chewy and surprisingly pleasant. 

Sapnap watches you from the corner of his eye, softly smiling when he sees you eat the rest of it. Glad to see someone else has good tastes around here.)

#8. George-

Meager man makes a meager meal. I said what I said!!! This flatbread boy knows diddly squat, and the only things he can cook successfully are bread and mushroom soup. Which he will make. And that’s all he’ll make. Any food that isn’t that is cooked by either Bad or Dream, and he’s still picky about it.

He’ll make you the soup and bread ladies and gents. I’m not saying they’ll taste great together, but he will definitely make them for you. Anything else he’s pretty critical about, and he doesn’t care much for treats or dessert. He does occasionally like dark chocolate though, which he and Dream will beg Bad to make for them. Soon he begs you to make it for him, and then you have to go ask Bad how he makes it so George won’t complain about how it tastes different from Bads. It’s a weird situation. You make a lot of chocolate. Dream and George linger at your house for weeks on end until you get fed up and shoo them away with a broom.

To his credit, even though he can’t cook much, he’s really proud of his mushroom stew. Any time you let him cook, his go-to is his mushroom stew. He likes to feed you and know that you’re not hungry somewhere, and to top it off he gets to show you his prized dish; not Bad’s or Dream’s stew, but his. He’s cute or whateva…

(George places the bowl down in front you, stepping back and turning to grab his own, before sitting down next to you. He immediately begins to eat, and you give him a half glance as you bring the soup up to smell it. 

It… doesn’t smell that bad, actually. Not burnt, at least. You spoon some of the soup into your mouth. 

Despite all you’ve seen of George’s cooking, this is pretty well made. It’s nice and warm, and the flavors are rich and the mushrooms soft. You choose to ignore the small smile of his face next to you, and keep eating your soup quietly together.)

#9: Wilbur

Wilbur can’t cook for shit. Literally nothing. This man knows apples grow from trees and that animals are made of meat and that’s it.

You think Wilbur made any of his food when he was president or exiled or ever? Not a chance. He ate anything given to him, Tubbo and Tommy absolutely brought this man all the food they could find so he wouldn’t get eat straight trash or starve throughout the presidency. Techno slid him bare cooked potatoes in Pogtopia and he thought “oh this slaps….. this is the pinnacle of food”

Which I know, not really sexy. But! This means that the moment you feed him something a step up from a bare cooked potato he is in food heaven. He especially loves saucier kinds of foods with lots of flavor and spice to them, it’s just so fucking good. Food becomes his kryptonite after you feed this silly man.

With sweets, however, he isn’t that much of a fan. He does like those small lemon creme crackers, and you and da boys are the only ppl he’ll share them with.

(You hear him before you see him. The familiar clambering at your window draws your attention away from the pork you were dicing, and one look over your shoulder shows a disheveled but grinning Wilbur. 

“I hope I’m not too late for dinner.” He jokes, brushing off his pants before approaching you to press a kiss to your temple. Soon after that you hear another set of clambering, and two pairs of stomps reveals one Tommy and one Tubbo respectively. 

“What’s for dinner tonight, mate?” 

“Hope you don’t mind if we join in!” 

You sigh, turning back to hide your smile before they can see it.)

very fine morning – put on my fur cloak and boots and rain into the little church (prayers) for 10 minutes – perfectly plain but neat little church inside and out – quite ready at 5 20/.. – no horses – ordered for 4 – but George said the Jew had told him they would not be here at 4 – waited impatiently till 6 ½ and then said little but lay my little switch stick once or twice over the Jews shoulders and set the Cossack to give him a good beating which he did, (did not hurt him) with his little switch stick till the man roared out, and then left him to put the baggage on and be more punctual (or give some reason for delay) another time – George seemed anxious for me to give something – he never gives anything? the monk, George said, was the head, came to me for something – gave him 3/. (4 coming out of my purse) and seemed going to take them all – but appeared satisfied with what he got – it was enough for our 2 boiled poulets and bread and 10 or 11 eggs and ½ dozen little pears and our little bottle of wine – but no knowing what the servants had – however tho’ the monk said they were not rich, they are very well off – there are several little corn and pasture fields north side of pyramid in the bottom and some nice bits of Indian corn and garden ground on the top – saw 3 of their cows in coming away down the zigzag descent – off at 7 5/.. at 7 ¾ from high ground above the monastery 1st sight of the Rion again (since leaving it at Pichari on Tuesday) for and deep below us – at 8 5/.. stop on the hill for George and Adam and wait 50 minutes – A- asleep on the ground – I reading – thought them lost in the wood – no! they had gone almost to the village of Saïemi as agreed last night and we had taken another road – why? always difficult to get things explained – it seemed this road a great roundabout but was better road – made the guide (from the monastery) turn back, and go the picturesque if occasionally rocky and steep and bad road by Saïemi – and en route again at 9 3/.. – beautiful view of valleys or combe upon come from the high ground where waited for George and Adam – but our nearer and worse road infinitely superior to the other in the picturesque – at 10 50/.. stop in the good, but scattered and very picturesque village of Saïemi for water at the one of the

cottages or farmhouses because a nice court fenced off and entered by large folding door (head-covered as usual) – gave 3 paras to be given for the water as A- and I filled all our bottles – throw away the monastery rain-water – at 10 25/.. on the hill wood in mountain side just over (high above) the confluence of the thread-like Ladsanouri having just before escaped from its écluse (deep narrow Gorge) and see on right bank of Rion 5v. (says Dubois ii. 439) below the 1 large and 1 little white square towers of the Krepost (old castle) of āl-lă-pān-năh as pronounced by our guide Albana of Dubois ii. 439. – the large village of Dsogichi scattered on hillside left bank of Rion – magnificent view of high wooded limestone mountains all round accidentées dans toutes les manières – snow-streaked and patched and capped mountains close the head of the fine village of the Ladsanouri on our right and we turn right and wind up high hill mountain side – what a magnificent view – Rion winding tranquilly its yellow-milky waters diminished by irrigation or something since Oni – apparently not much or deep water – but too far off and too high above the river to judge – a singular wall of rock facing towards us and bearing on its back a richy corny slope down to the Rion forms an angle between the Rion and Ladsanouri – after the confluence of the 2 rivers – very singular – but everything is singular here and magnificently fine – at 11 50/.. come down upon good picturesque village of Sourmouchi from which the guide said we were distant one hour when we turned back at 9 3/.. – the people cutting (sickling) their corn here bearded wheat – in large fields along the hillside sheltered by pollard trees at regular distances (chiefly ash) – good plan – otherwise the corn would be burnt up – vine entwined hedges and trees all along – and treēmĕlēe which I pulled and rubbed in my hand for the smell – very agreeable – only discovered this and the aromatic nature of the inner bark in riding along on [?] – at 12 5/.. stop a moment (scattered village of Sourmouchi) under high vine-covered alders to inquire about Natchaluik and breakfast – for man and horse – steep ascent up white limestone hill to Lailache, 100ft. above level of Ladsanouri says Dubois – probably enough – hot sun – at 1 20/.. stop at wood house of Dadians’ at Laïlache – under an enormous lime tree – shew our paper – shewn immediately to a nice comfortable room convenient wood house near – very neat plafond to our large room divans and 2 tables – one tolerably European and the other tho’ long and bench-like, high enough to write at in comfort – breakfast – but George had left behind our bread and capital large linen cloth it was wrapt in! I said I had given it him – he denied this – I too quickly said he le jure (meaning I could swear it) he still repeated vous voux trompez – annoyed at the stupid fellow for ever – sat down to eggs and cheese and I had bread enough for myself in my bag – I had picked 5 bunches of green sour grapes in coming along – pressed out the juice with my drinking tumbler glass on my trencher and made 3 glasses of [?]juice and water almost as refreshing as lemonade (1st time of trying this) – breakfast over at 3 5/.. then slept ½ hour then till now 4 50/.. wrote the last 9 lines of yesterday and so far of today – soon arriving here (at 1 ¼) R28° - and now (4 50/..) lying on the table by me with a nice cool air blowing over it R26° and F90 ½° - but I get rather more accustomed to the heat – ate one cucumber just at the last before arriving – 1 at breakfast and 2 cold hardboiled eggs and a little bread and much of the hard white cheese I bought at Oni – salt and savoury and good – A- had 2 eggs beaten up with wine and about a lb. of Tiflis Sultana raisins – just tasted my cucumber in coming – she bears the heat with much less thirst and much better than I – but I am improving – left off my woollen sleeves this morning because found a louse in them last night  and have found dit[t]o two or three times in my flannel waistcoat - Adam and the Jew had been loitering in the Room while I wrote the last few lines – then came George to say that Adam said his month was up, and I would not give him money to buy another horse he would leave us – leave us (said I) c’est à rire – that cannot be – as for giving him money to buy a horse – no! another horse is my affair not his

tell him he must go with us – George persisted that he would not – said his friends were here – he had been drinking – he came himself – of course I understood merely a few words of what he said and merely answered pashō, pashō, meaning we are ready – be quick and be off with us – I saw he took it differently? by his manner of Otchen blagadarioo – I [?] told George that if he did leave us, I would pay him nothing more till Koutaïs and then what the commandant ordered – I once thought of keeping his horse – then immediately gave that up – that would do no good – off in all my astonishment at 6 25/.. for after this nobody seemed ready to pack – we could not get off – it seemed we were too late for Mouri – could not get farther that the castle of Orbeli 2 hours or more from here – mused as we rode along – wished I had staid all night in our comfortable room at Laïlache – the business about Adam might have been differently settled – quite persuaded it is Georges’ doing – beautiful ride along the hills sides – fine views down into fine valley of Ladsanouri – broad shallow clear stream – the whitewashed 3 towered castle very picturesque high-seated on fine projecting mass of rock – our guide said we could not go up to it on horseback! how get the baggage up? determined to sleep in the picturesque little village of............prettily seated on the left bank the Ladsanouri – no appearance of many places to sleep at till espied a good looking place at the far end of village – passed our guide and baggage, and rode up to the gate and up to the door – not the property of the Dadian but a prince........ not allowed to stay there – [?] – George said he would fouetter les gens, and get us entrance – true enough he did threaten and bully till we were allowed to settle ourselves for the night very comfortably – large good wood house our large room opening into wicker cabinet d’air and into a good room, but smelling as if lately used as a stable, at the side – broad good gallery ŏtāch front and along our side where our people were very comfortable – we had divans and a table and benches and all in mingrelian luxury a good kitchen house for strangers stable etc. etc. at a little distance and the court shaded by immense walnut trees – we had arrived at 7 50/.. and A- had boiled my rice and we had a very comfortable meal from 9 5/.. to 10 ½ - George found a man for us – sold by his master to a Russian – 10 years in Russian – his Russian master killed or died in 1812 during the French invasion, and the man returned to his old master here – very fine day – R20 ¾° at 10 ½ p.m. and R23° in our room on arriving – or at 8 p.m. we found the room very hot –
