I'm going through as many Exorcist movies as I can stand. Trying to see what I haven't seen before. Something to do.
—————————————————————
I don't see how William Friedkin criticized 'Exorcist Believer' in a moral sense in its production shortly before his death when this movie by Blatty himself posited that Damien Karras somehow survived his climactic fall down the stairs in the original film to become possessed by a serial killer and "the master" or "legion".
This movie's plot is beyond reasonable reality, even in demonic possession beliefs. The devil may have reach, but even Satan would be bound by certain cosmic laws.
Friedkin was an ass to do that.
That said, this is not as terrible a movie as I expected, but it's more like a slasher film than an Exorcism.

Batman: The Animated Series - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles
Ubu
A muscluar mountain of a man, Ubu was the ever vigilant and loyal bodyguard of Ra's al Ghul. Ubu never allowed anyone to get too close or precede the glorious steps of his master. He saw all who opposed or did not show proper resect to Ra’s to be ‘infidels.’
Ubu has had to curb his anger toward Batman and be patient due to Ra's' respect and admiration for The Dark Knight. Still he harbored a great deal of jealousy towards Batman due to Ra's' favor. It is also likely that Ubu was envious of Talia’s infatuation with Batman.
How Ubu came to be at the service of Ra’s al Ghul was never revealed. Yet his dedication was unwavering and he would gladly give his life for any of his master’s whims.
Actors Manu Tupou and George Dicenzo each provided the voice for Ubu in his appearances. He debuted in the fifty-seventh episode of the first season of Batman: The Animated Series, ‘The Demon’s Quest Part One.’

...George DiCenzo?
Oh, you're here to audition for supporting role in a 1980s Saturday morning cartoon? Let's see what positions we have left... how does comically inept yet sympathetic authority figure sound? No? How about people-pleasing nerd who's too socially oblivious to realise that all the other characters treat them as vaguely subhuman? All right, all right, never mind... okay: male lead's designated girlfriend who doesn't really seem to like him and treats her role as a strange obligation, and also she has this weird chemistry with a recurring female villain that's going to be vigorously reexamined in about fifteen years when Internet fanfic gets big. Yes, I thought that one might be up your alley.

fun fact: George got his name from 80's Bow's voice actor, who had passed away.
I have no idea why they named the other dad Lance though, I don't think there's a character named Lance in the 80's motu.
Head writer Josie Campbell explained the origin of Lance's name in the same tweet where she confirmed that George was named for Bow's original VA, George DiCenzo (who played, like, everyone on the original show). It came from her googling "names that are weapons." (😂 Power move.)
[Original Tweet]
In a follow-up tweet, she mentioned that one of the names she rejected for Lance was Dirk (which she felt sounded weird when you say it out loud).
Those of you familiar with my fics know that's the name I gave Bow's oldest brother, the one who sends his dads the pottery shards in the show, in tribute to that.

He’s an idiot. Comes from upbringing. Parents are probably idiots too. Lorraine, you ever have a kid who acts that way, I’ll disown you.

- Wait a minute. Wait a minute, Doc. Ah… Are you telling me that you built a time machine… out of a DeLorean? - The way I see it, if you’re gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?

Profiles in Villainy
Hordak
There have been multiple versions of the malevolent menace known as Hordak. In the original continuity established in She Ra: Princess of Power (and by extension He-Man and The Masters of Universe), Hordak is an extremely powerful tyrant of mysterious origins who will stop at nothing until he conquers all of both Etheria and the neighboring dimension of Eternia. Heralding from the shadowy ‘Horde World,’ Hordak’s powers were derived from a strange combination of sorcery and science.
Hordak was originally headquartered in Snake Mountain where he had taken on the villainous Skeletor as an apprentice. When the forces of King Randor were closing in on Hordak, he fled to Ethernia, leaving Skeletor in charge of Snake Mountain (and thus leading to the longstanding conflict between Skeletor and Randor’s son, He-Man). Reestablishing himself on Etheria, Hordak took over the Fright Zone; and from here he and his Evil Horde began its war against She-Ra The Princes of Power.
In the 2018 reboot of the narrative, Hordak was shown to be a semi-defective clone of the entity known as Hordak Prime. This Hordak Prime sent versions of himself to countless worlds to conquer in his stead, all part of an effort to claim absolute dominion over the entirety of the cosmos.
Hordak’s ‘deficiency’ was his unexpected capacity for independent thought. This led to feelings of ambivalence that would manifest in malfunctions in his powers and the mechanical aspects of his physical form.
Although a cruel master who sent the forces of his Evil Horde to conquer Etheria and crush the Princess Rebellion, Hordak also struggled with doubt and was confused by his falling in love with his lieutenant, Entrapta. His other lieutenant, Catra, surmised these weaknesses in Hordak and used them to her advantage, ultimately unseating Hordak as the new master of the Evil Horde.
This ultimately facilitated the mighty Hordak Prime coming to Etheria. The villain was defeated by She-Ra and her various allies. In the wake of this, Hordak was free from his former master and he and Entrapta were reunited to forge a life together.
Actor George DiCenzo provided the voice for Hordak in his original appearances in the 1985 series, She-Ra: Princes of Power; the great Kevin Conroy voiced the villain in the 2002 series Masters of the Universe vs. The Snake Men; and actor Keston John voiced Hordak in the 2018 series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

THE FRISCO KID (1979) Grade: C
I usually love Gene Wilder, but this bit got old after awhile. It also takes forever before any real jokes start flying. By that time, I wanted to check out. It’s also very long for a comedy.
