you know. just like with specific terms and nicknames like clanker or shinie, clones must've come up with unique meanings for their armor paint. like with different meanings assigned to colors of mandalorian armor except since the choice of color is out of their control, all the importance lies in shapes and placement

#this is obviously based on fanon as well as personal speculation but knowing that clones are such a tight-knit society #plus knowing the circumstances of their “upbringing” it wouldn't be surprising #there must be a code to everything #if we take into the account the idea of clones developing their own dialect together with incorporating combat sign language into it #i just think for clones everything matters. the words they use the body language their ranks etc and that everything would include paintjob #so like that would mean that there are specific ways you could paint ur armor that have their own meaning #like with some types of traditional embroidery or other textile arts #like an outsider would look at a clone in full armor and see a collection of geometric shapes and simple designs #but another clone would see so much more #clones could incorporate some personal designs together with more well known “universal” symbols #a stripe across the pauldron for luck. another stripe down the chestplate to signify bravery on the battlefield so on so forth #doylist: they didn't want to make adjustments to their clone models and used copy and paste #watsonian: a group of clones would collectively decide on armor pattern that would best represent their battalion #star wars

#I'm sorry this isn't fair. I know we lost half a decade to two reboots making cool concept art ideas too unfeasible to consider #it is more than fair to mourn it. it's just so entropic. trying to keep containing the unraveling worldstate of thedas over and over again #such a uniquely weird predicament. I think I am starting to feel antagonistic to this type of storytelling #like not fully but to a certain degree I can sense its catastrophic toxicity in the long run #but then again I am the stories-matter-over-lore guy so maybe I am simply blind to the value of it all #this ties back into my musing yesterday about authored vignettes being defanged by player choice even without this context #so like I am starting to lose the plot here for why do this at all. they either have to bethesda it now #and start telling local stories or whatever #or keep banging their heads against this geometrically progressing wall while losing larger and larger sizes of their audience #like with the mass effect trilogy it's kinda like. a double funnel. gets wider then narrows back down by the end #cause it's a finite context those quantum states serve and exist in. but then you want to tell more stories in that universe #and the lorebrained gymnastics inevitably kick in. and like what is this all for #I think I'm growing away from this a little haha I hate that realization lmao

actually, i still haven’t played either dqb1 or dqb2. i played the demos for both on switch and i played some more of dqb2 during the week it was free to anyone with switch online. but ultimately, i think i rly just kinda wanted to play on pc. i know dqb2 has long been on pc and there’s no real reason to play dqb1 before dqb2, but if you were inside my head you would understand why i need to.

i don’t think those tweets were simply implying, it’s pretty clear to me that a pc port of dqb1 is to be announced today/tomorrow.

and yes i will play it and even if i don’t like it that much i will then play dqb2 cause i know it’s so much better. i know dqb2 has been really quite popular, even for people who don’t play the main series and i do wanna get into the fun.

My lopsided vision in art. Bell’s palsy is the weakness of one side of one’s face, cause unknown but believed to be the result of a viral infection or blunt trauma. It usually resolves itself over time. In rare cases, like me, you can be born with it and have it be permanent. As a result, muscle movements of the face are asymmetrical. This has been a cause of insecurity for me for a long time, and while conventional wisdom is not to care what people think, the reality is that people judge and perceive others by how they look, in relationships and just being taken serious. I don’t have an answer of what to do or think about this. But I’ I don’t have control of how people see me and I’m learning to not hold on to the weight as if I do.
