I havent seen these in the like 10 years

hey so this is kind of a weird request, don't worry too much if you ca't find em but. i found these gifs on a tumblr post YEARS ago and i even have a folder with some variations on these gifs but i have no idea what the source is. i know the CHARACTER is from the blur - coffee and tv music video but i have no idea where the gifs are from

i have a bunch of variants too if it'd help any but these are the main two, i think. if i'm right they seem to originate from 2008 or earlier ;_;

For the uninitiated, let's start with the context:

In 1999, the English rock band Blur released a single with their song "Coffee & TV", along with a promotional music video. The MV featured a sentient milk carton known as "Milky".

Later in 2005, the fanlisting site milkyfan.com was created, in celebration of the titular mascot. The site would encourage visitors to adopt a Milky by including one of several variations of Mliky in their forum signature.

This earlier animations are attributed to a member of the official Blur forum called dancingmilk. In the following years, more versions of Milky were added.

The credit for those later additions is given to DanAbnormal and Paiste, owners of the site milk-gifs.tk. This one surviving archive of this page can give us an idea of how renowned this lacteous lad was in his time.

another follow friday

My anxiety is basically burning a hole in my soul and everything is really hard and my rollercoaster isn't quite over yet. and I remain all over the place. but! Here is a non-queued post! a marvel. maybe i'll do polls next. Follow Friday. Blogs I am enjoying on tumblr: @never-obsolete features old games, software and hardware. There's also magazine promos for various tech back in the day, too. Great for nostalgia and 👀 feelings. The pixel art in these old games was incredible. @geocitiesdig which shares some image and text assets from old geocities websites. I remember my first scrolling marquee on my geocities page. It's a nice tour down memory lane and Internet history.

@cryptonature is a podcast/poetry/fiction about a fellow who studies cryptids. Amazing work here. The posts always makes me pause in wonder and awe or mild horror and curiosity. @catsofyore is on tumblr!! I followed them on twitter and I'm happy they're posting over here so I can get my ye old cattes in history.

where do you find all those cool borders and graphics on your blinkies? or do you make them yourself? either way, you're super talented!

I'll make my own borders but a lot of them are inspired by or even directly copied from other blinkies! My biggest point of inspiration is blinkies.cafe because they have so many gorgeous and unique borders. Other places of inspiration are a lot of old blinkies I and others find in geocities digs! Some wonderful places to find inspiration on tumblr are (here), @momsagainstinternetuse-archive, @geocitiesblinkies, @geocitiesdig, @geocities-zip and the #blinkies tag. I love all these blogs with my whole heart.

Sometimes I'll make my own without any other inspiration, though. Like this one I wanted one that had water currents as the border, so I made water currents the border.

Don't be afraid to get weird with em! I've been thinking about making borders inspired by teeth, flowers, spiders, etc.

But you don't have to make a new border every time! I have several I'll go through and see if I can find one that fits the vibe. Its about building a strong foundation.

As for graphics, a lot of them are official content. For cookie run blinkies, I'll use art from the fan wikis. For the tmnt ones I used gifs taken from the show. Not everything has to be original bb.

As for fonts, all of them I've found online. If you want specific names just ask!

It’s very nice to meet you and I am happy to see you here. :) On this blog you’ll find posts about my current obsessions, fanfiction and of course, occasional rants. I promise, I only eat people on Fridays, so don’t hesitate texting me. (Unless it’s Friday of course, because then...) For anyone interested, I can speak English and Bulgarian, as well as Turkish (I’m not all that fluent there though). Currently learning German, French and Latin.  Absolutely obsessed with art and literature (especially the Modernism period). My free time is divided between programming and workouts. I love sunflowers, conversations about the weather, colours and sunrises. (Yes, I am in fact the main character in every romantic book out there. Or if you are reading horror the one that gets murdered... Or is secretly the murderer.)
