Loud chatter and music played in the background as you paced around, fingers twiddling with the edge of your sleeve as you waited for him.

He wasn't late, it's just that you were early. Maybe five minutes or so, but still early, and usually, it was him who was early and you who was late. But today was a special day, it was the lantern festival, and you had specially invited Zhongli to come and join you during this day of celebration and joy, as you wanted to share it with him.

You had put on your best attire - a traditional dress in the colours of scarlet red and golden. The fabric was mainly red, however golden streaks ran alongside the edges of it, and the gold adorned the scarlet colour with golden glaze lily flowers, all scattered across spacious parts.

Your sleeves were wide, and they covered your entire arm, up to your hands, they were covered in golden cascades that ended at a definite curved end by your fingers.

Your hair was let down, and adorned with a couple of decorative golden hair pins, as well as one golden, flowery comb.

To say you were overdressed would be a subjective statement. To some you looked simply gorgeous, embodying the image of a typical Liyue woman, to others you would look somewhat out of place - too rich for the harbour.

But what did that matter? All that your thoughts could run to was Zhongli.

You wondered how he was dressed, did he wear something special? Different compared to his usual work attire? What would he think of you?

You checked your watch, noting that it was almost time for him to be there. You put it away and slowly looked up, looking at the crowd of people around you, all carrying lanterns and enjoying snacks from the numerous food stalls scattered across the harbour.

You smiled, trying to imprint this image into your memory, as you did with every other lantern rite.

You breathed a content sigh, and looked around, your heart almost stopping as you spotted Zhongli standing beside you, a small content smile of his own gracing his lips.

"How long have you been standing there?" You asked, a big grin spreading itself across your cheeks as well, as you turned your body to face him.

You looked him over, cheeks reddening as you noticed his attire.

He himself was wearing traditional robes, boring the colours of amber and deep brown, which matched his usual look, but complimented his features stunningly. His hair was half down, some of it tied into a small bun at the back of his head,the longer untied strands sat loosely over his shoulders, now blending with the shorter strands, that had escaped his bun, together into one piece.

As you looked further down, you noticed one hand was behind his back.

"I wasn't standing here for long," he said, looking down at you through thick lashes, "But I noticed you were staring off into the distance and didn't want to interrupt you." He finished, smiling gently as he looked you over.

"You look beautiful, Y/n. Prettier than any glaze lily I've ever seen."

The blush on your face reddened to a shade darker, and you bit your lip, looking up at him in adoration, inhaling before you said, "You look amazing yourself, some would say you look like the statue of the Geo Archon himself." Your voice was quiet enough for him only to hear, and soft enough to pass as a whisper.

Zhongli's eyes widened, and an uncertain emotion swirled in his pupils before he blinked, and the look was gone. He thanked you and cleared his throat, asking for your hand.

"Since this is a special occasion, I brought you a gift," he said, bringing forth a bouquet of freshly picked flowers, "Liyue’s specialities. I do hope you'll enjoy them."

The bouquet was filled with every native flower to Liyue, sparkling with bright colours ranging from the baby pink of silk flowers, to the velvety blue of glaze lilies.

You were stunned, admiring the beautiful flowers that he had placed in your palms, their colours swindling brightly in the light of the numerous lanterns hanging above the two of you.

You looked up at your companion, smiling and blinking away a tear.

"Thank you Zhongli, these flowers are so beautiful," you said, bringing them closer to your face, enough for your nose to bury itself within them, "I will cherish them forever." You said as you pulled away, hanging onto the bouquet by one hand, the other sneaking through Zhongli's extended arm.

"Shall we?" He asked, subtly nodding his head towards the crowd of Liyue citizens who were all waiting at the harbour, their very own lanterns sat within their grasps, awaiting to ignite their deepest wishes into the sky.

You nodded at Zhongli, and walked along the people, admiring the vastly different lanterns, before you looked to Zhongli, who's gaze seemed to soften at the sight.

You smiled, and gripped lightly at his forearm, before turning your attention back to the festival before you.

The two of you walked hand in hand, tasting all the different local foods from vendors, standing to watch as people created their own fireworks - which would be displayed further into the evening - and watched again as bands played traditional music, as children ran past, their giggles and laughs erupting into the sky.

You looked at Zhongli once again, mouth barely opening before he beat you to speaking.

He leaned his head down, enough to be at eye-level to you, before his hand tucked some hair behind your ear, and he neared his lips to it, “Would you like me to buy us some lanterns? Joining in on the tradition would be wonderful.” He asked, his voice low and smooth like velvet, but still loud enough for you to hear.

As though he had cast a spell upon you, you found yourself unable to mutter out a single word of a response, and so, you opted to nod instead, eyes wide like a deers, cheeks rosy, mouth agape.

Zhongli laughed, and grabbed your free hand, intertwining your fingers before pulling you crit her into the crowds in search of a lantern seller.

Just a bit ahead, there was one vendor.

It was just your luck - they had two more lanterns left and looked as though they were about to close shop.

"Excuse me! Can we buy those?" You asked, breathing heavily as you rested the bouquet on the wooden table in front of the vendor. They were an older gentleman, who was maybe in his 60s, and he looked at the two of you surprised.

"You're just in time! I was about to close for today. Nobody wanted two lanterns as most people are in larger groups!" He shouted over the crowds, before turning to grab the two remaining lanterns. He then headed back to you and Zhongli, smiling softly at the two of you,

"Well aren't you a beautiful couple? Are you married?" He asked, passing over the lanterns.

Your face flushed a bright red, and you looked to Zhongli, who's eyes seemed to once again widen, his orbs swirling with an unknown emotion once again.

"N-no-," you started, but your companion interrupted you, "Yes. We are not married yet, but I plan on proposing soon." Zhongli said full of confidence, smiling down at the older man, before fishing some mora out of nowhere.

You looked from the grandpa to Zhongli, eyes wide as saucepans, mouth wide open in shock, heart pounding loudly against your ribcage.

He looked back to you, smiling gently, before giving the gentleman the money and taking your hand, his other holding onto the lanterns as you said your goodbyes and went to join the crowds.

"You plan on proposing to me?" You asked after a while of silence, looking up to him.

A light blush dusted over his cheeks, but other than that, nothing else gave away Zhongli's feelings.

"Oh look, they're about to let their lanterns out." Zhongli pointed out, skimming over your question before you could utter any other words. His hand tugged at yours, leading you through the crowd to reach near the wooden staircase.

"3.."

The people began chanting, raising their arms into the air,

"2.."

You and Zhongli did the same after lighting your lanterns, smiling, hips touching, hearts pounding,

"1.."

You looked to Zhongli, giggling in excitement as he looked back at you, a content smile on his face,

"Happy Lantern Rite!"

The crowds shouted, and hundreds of lanterns were let out into the starry night sky, their golden glow illuminating the night, painting it golden.

It was as though there was a new sun in the night sky.

Zhongli turned to you, eyes focused, smile soft, and hands reaching up to caress your cheeks.

"Happy lantern rite, Y/n." And with that, he pulled you in for a tender kiss, the warmth of his lips enveloping yours as people around cheered, wishing each other happiness and good fortune, but all that was drowned out by the sound of your heartbeat, and the happiness you felt as you melted into your new lovers touch.

Slayer of Heishan, and uncrowned queen of the seas. Perhaps you always liked the danger that came with people like her or Morax. Now that he’s more domestic and soft he seems less exciting than someone like Beidou perhaps? Or maybe its just her boldness and courage. She has the muscles of a god surely. Her thighs could crush your skull if she wanted too. How could you ever pass her up? Morax was hot sure, but Beidou is a passionate and expressive woman. Her face is hardly ever stoic and she carries a air of warmth and enthusiasm. You never feel frightened in her presence or intimidated.

Its really fascinating! Also, there are some theories that Capitano is Imunlaukr from Sal Vindagnyr (iirc its from Dragonspine?) One of the founding clans of Mondstadt. And then there's "Menogias (the Geo Yaksa) = Capitano" Theory too. There are a lot of theories about him still going around to this day 😂 and i just consume all of it

When he saw Capitano, even with that helmet of his, it is described that Capitano have "eerily dark blue eyes that 'glows' with an uncanny aura". His EYES literally "GLOWS" 😶 at this point, is he even a human now?? 😭 mans got that "glow in the dark" eyes. That is REALLY cool but also very scary.

Zhongli: headcanons with pregnant s/o (she/her)

following the one for diluc, so i've decided that i should write a pregnant headcanon for our lord geo as well. tbh, the scenario i've been trying to come up for zhongli keeps being scrapped. my folder is full of incomplete pieces i abandoned each time cause i really didn't find any of them suitable for sharing. so i'll stick to the headcanons for now —i proofread this once but there may still be errors so sorry in advance!

finding out

being in love and marrying her means doing things couples do is pretty much natural even if he's a god. so this includes AHEM *cues horny sounds* XD (hinting at 'dominus lapidis' - find it on the m.list yourself; minors, pls stay away!)

so he wouldn't be surprised to know she got pregnant from the result of doing *cues horny sounds again*. when it was first revealed to him, he would of course be surprised by the news and quickly take it in stride from what they did.

Zhongli would definitely be extremely pleased to know that those nights bore fruits, in this case, fruit. BUT Zhongli would also be concerned about her well-being 'cause she's carrying his child — child of a god; whether or not it would be too much for her.

this makes me wonder if it's possible for him to put a shield inside her womb, around the child or something to protect her from whatever effects the child could give off? — like how we see Zhongli do so around traveller and Kun Jun during the archon quest featuring Azhdaha

he is familiar with births of life since he is possibly the oldest living being alive (one that we are familiar with) but he only knows about this phase of life in theory.

he is a knowledgeable man, er, god but even his knowledge had limits. 'Cause knowing and doing is different. he'd seen and met father-to-be and pregnant mothers so many times in his longgggg life, but when it comes to his own experience, he is as awkward as new fathers can be.

but trust Zhongli to know what is good for pregnancy such as good teas, herbs and etc. - if he doesn't know he would consult the adepti (especially those who had children with humans) and humans themselves too.

i'd like to imagine that Zhongli has his own realm like how we have our own serenitea pot, and in there, he owns a mansion; not those multi-tiered type, but ground level with the courtyards and winding verandas (those open-air corridors), with a solid gate around this compound.

Even if he doesn't own a realm, i'd imagine he would own a property like this all the same, somewhere near Liyue Harbor; if he didn't previously, he did after getting betrothed to her. (tbh i'm really curious where zhongli stays in the game)

when he is within their mansion, he would usually don on his hanfu (depicted in sunlit, as written by yours truly).

and on topic of hanfu, he would have a few specially tailored for her for many reasons:

to accommodate her growing belly.

hanfu were more comfortable - flowy sleeves, soft materials and warm

tbh, he secretly developed a fascination over seeing her wearing the hanfu while she's expecting.

Zhongli has always been affectionate towards her but he'd become even more during the months. He enjoys talking to their child in her belly

in the morning without fail, she would wake up to a low, gentle, soothing voice against her rounded belly.

and before bedtime, she would fall asleep to his hand caressing her middle, smoothing over the soft material of her sleepwear. She often falls asleep to the same low, gentle soothing voice. (Zhongli is such ASMR master; his voice alone oh gawd he should be on Youtube lol)

Zhongli is definitely even more protective over her now that she was with child.

before she was pregnant, Zhongli is a lover who believes in her capabilities to protect herself. Just like how he silently watches over Liyue even in the present, he protects her from a small distance. He's not overbearingly protective but enough, Ofc when time calls for him to do so, he'd step up. (don't mess with Geo daddy hohoho)

he respects her as a fellow warrior? someone who is experienced in combat? yea like he doesn't have that kind of misogynistic mindset, like those kind of 'oh because she's a woman so she must be weak and a damsel in distress that can't do a thing so i ,the man, have to step in everytime' mindset.

though i would say that he's more quick to step up when it comes to her than to Liyue (well, cause Liyue has the Qixing and the adeptus)

but now that she's pregnant, who dares to mess with Geo daddy literally daddy HAHAH

while he is sure that she is capable of defending herself even when pregnant, he wouldn't want her strain herself while she's carrying his child. he know it isn't good for her and the baby if she stressed herself. AND OFC, he just wants to protect her; he becomes overprotective papa Geo bear. it's like some kind of instinct more than a thought for him.

Because Zhongli becomes overprotective papa Geo bear during the pregnancy, he sticks around her a lot more.

Hu Tao would definitely see less of that man at work hahaha

He would spend time, bringing his s/o out for short walks; he knows this is good for her. Brings her around the city, listening to stories told by the storytellers, drink good teas, admiring the sceneries around the harbor especially the sea at the wharfs - basically when she's pregnant, they go out on dates a lot more? hahah

but across the months when it gets harder for her to walk 'cause she is getting so big, he would stay home with her, catering to her every needs.

rubs her sore feet, combs through his library for inspiration in finding names as she took naps, spends his time to talking to her and their unborn child

hands are mostly on her belly, caressing it and pressing his lips to it. (oh zhongli is so obsessed, so dedicated to her and their child at this point)

the birth at last

Zhongli would be calm when it happens.

near the due date, Madam Ping who volunteered to help with the birth, would stay around. Madam Ping visits them often during the pregnancy. Giving sounds advices to Zhongli every time she comes over, and discussing how to prepare for the day to come.

He wouldn't show it on his face that it affected him when her hand clutching onto his gave him crushing squeezes when she has to push - being a god, his pain tolerance far exceeds a normal human's so he's gonna be okay hahaha

Zhongli would only be concerned about her 'cause she's in so much pain. Worries again about the effects of his child on her, whether or not it would be too much for her.

but thank god, everything went smoothly. mother is fine, baby is fine.

Zhongli would be so grateful to her, he shed silent tears after Madam Ping left them to be alone. he would thank her for carrying his child and giving him the chance to experience what it's like to live like a mortal, as if she was the one who brought rain after a drought.

ironic for someone who had lived for so long, Zhongli is still experiencing his first-times; finally learnt how to truly live.

he still got a lot more to learn- how to be a father, a husband and lots more things to come.

this made you smile, and you finally let go, flopping down onto the floor. he smirked at you, squatting down to your location.

“hey,” zhongli whispered, a glint in his eyes you didn’t necessarily like. “you’re awfully brave leaving your shirt all rolled up like that around me~”

“h-huh? wait- zhongli- nohohoho!” you squealed, snickering and squirming as zhongli peppered kisses all over your tummy. he loved seeing you smile, and accentuated this by squeezing your sides.

“you should know better than to leave your midriff so exposed like that. i’m simply teaching you a lesson,” zhongli teased, blowing a small raspberry underneath your bellybutton. he smiled against your stomach at the squeal you let out.

No matter how well you insist they won't let you go out of the teapot realm. Sure you enjoy the house they worked hard for you but you’re getting sick of it. It’s just the same view every time. You want to see the nations you’ve explored in game and see them for yourself.

They have visions, they’re strong, heck some of them are archons, what could possibly harm you as long as you have them near you.

As much as we want to heed to your wishes, your safety is our main priority.” That’s what Zhongli usually tells you when you try to reason with him. He and the others understand, they really do. After all this world was created for you so you should have every right to explore. Teyvat was for you and only you, Teyvat itself understands it but that doesn’t eliminate the threats the world holds.

The furnace is your favorite place inside the house, it’s your comfort place.

Venti smiles softly as he passes by the living room. How can he not when you’re there in front of the furnace with a blanket around you as you tinker with one of your gadgets that Albedo brought from your world. The bard was tempted to sit beside you and ask for your attention but pressing matters must be completed. The anemo archon tells himself that there’s always next time as he goes to the next room where a meeting is being held.

“Our highness is getting antsy, we need to dispose of all of them fast.” The chief alchemist immediately went straight to the point as the meeting started. Albeit a bit rude, the others understand the rush. “I understand but we simply cannot let those vile creatures corrupt thy.” After the geo archon finishes expressing his thoughts the dark knight hero proceeds to speak as well. “Fret not, we’re almost done with segregating the believers and eliminating those vile creatures. Just keep them distracted for a few more days and then we can finally present Teyvat to our beloved deity.”

The meeting ended with them agreeing to the conclusion Diluc provided. All of them cannot wait to finally show you around Teyvat. Some people, like Traveller and Childe, are already conjuring fun activities you all can do.

Yae Publishing House’s owner merely smiled as she handed you the dango milk in her hands. “Drink up, we cannot have our precious daemon being dehydrated now. As much as I want to accompany you with more duty calls, I must go to the shrine. No, don't give me those eyes I cannot take you with me. Ei will throw a tantrum like you if I do” Your face fell with the hopes of going to the shrine as Yae bid you goodbye. Everything was temporarily forgotten though as you take a sip of the dango milk the electro vision wielder left.

“We’re sorry that this is taking so long but I promise you that you will get your wish soon.” You’re sure you heard a certain yaksha whisper in your ear as you slowly embrace slumber. If you were awake you'd probably think about what his words mean but your mind is too hazy to conjure coherent thoughts. Xiao’s words drift away into the night and are forgotten the next morning.

The furnace is nothing like Teyvat, the world you want to explore, but it'll have to do as your liegemen made sure all threats to your well being are eliminated.

When u somehow get Zhongli with no pity even though u have complained abt him out loud while playing his quests :^)

Ok as much as I shittalk abt him, I do find a good amount of stuff that he says very interesting (when he isn’t that absent-minded of course). Sometimes I wanna pick at the information and opinions he shares with us. I esp love intellectual stimulation.

Like that discussion whereby he and some archaeologists talk the origins of the first Mora in Zhongli’s first side story quest was fascinating. One of the archaeologists was adamant that the first Mora was used to create/refine a powerful sword and shield due to Mora doubling as a catalyst and his assumption that Rex Lapis had prior knowledge of Mora being a catalyst. In his eyes, Rex Lapis was a powerful and very knowledgeable god, so how would he not know that Mora had such a capability?

Zhongli however said that rather than anything spectacular, the first Mora was just an ordinary coin used for trade, as a way for Rex Lapis to measure value within established contracts. He also adds that it is highly likely that the same coin is somewhere still being exchanged in the lines of commerce.

It was funny when the archaeologist (who is an uppity little fuck imo) was like excuse me what kind of argument is that and then Zhongli replied with oh no Im not arguing any point Im stating facts lmao ok ceo of geo technically you are correct since you WERE literally the fucking geo archon and YOU LIVED THROUGH the damn shit but look these people dont fucking know that and of course won’t believe u even if you know its a fact like cmon bruh

But yea to be fair I would have sided with Zhongli on that the first Mora being an ordinary coin used to pay for shit as it has done hundreds of years later. Heck I even have a good supporting argument for this thanks to history/logic of sorts. Often we assume that the first existence for a particular invention would be a grand and spectacular affair. More often than not, it’s not the case.

When you look at first inventions, of the first plane, the first motorised engine, the first wheel, it always starts off with a “hey what if I create sth like this to help me and others with this problem?”, along with some trials and errors to make it work, usually in a makeshift laboratory, or out in open space, or just anywhere in the spur of the moment. There is never a grand affair, simply because not many would think abt much it until much later in the course of history where such inventions have inspired greater and grander ones to come abt. It’s an assumption that being the first in something would be celebrated, which is only possible if it is expected or anticipated like being the first in a race or sth.

Except creating a first novel invention is practically impossible to anticipate because the high risk of failure, and even then such a new creation may not necessarily create huge impacts later in the future. How the conception of the first novel inventions came abt is only realised way later in hindsight when ppl decide to trace down the origins of successful ideas or inventions. Plus, it is often that the simplest and most boring explanations are most likely to be true.

Plus, Rex Lapis, even as a “god”, is not that all-knowing or powerful even if he does have a great amt of knowledge and power. (Pls skip the rest of this paragraph if u dont want to be bored by my explanation of why I dont think he is that way) He was unable to cure his dear friend Azhdaha from the erosion, ending up having to seal him to stop him from rampaging the lands. If he knew how to save his friend, yet chose not to do so, it would paint him as someone malicious to withhold aid or someone who was not powerful enough to do so or someone who did not have the knowledge to help. We know that Rex Lapis himself has a benevolent nature since many actions of his helped the people of Liyue, and he himself did grant Azhdaha the gift of sight to witness the beauty of the land on his own, so we can safely say that he is not truly malicious, and conclude that he is not all-powerful and/or knowledgeable as a supposed perfect God.

Why in the absolute fuck did I write that entire paragraph to say that The Geo Archon isn’t actually all mighty stronk and/or smort? Its so I can say that even if regular humans see his incredibly feats as godly, it’s highly likely that the archon wasn’t really as godly as Liyue portray him to be, but rather a person just with great power and knowledge compared to humans. A person who is flawed and capable of making mistakes or not knowing certain things. Hence not knowing the impact he would have when establishing contracts and creating the first Mora coins to represent a ubiquitous form of value.

Of course if I were to say all that in front of all the archaeologists I would get kicked out of the table and even the boat lmao for saying the geo archon isnt that amazing.

But hey I made my stand and explained it the best I can even with some holes in the explanations that I could prob address but it would just make this wayyy longer and look this post is long enough and Im sure not many of u have bothered to reach up to here anyway so.

In the very least I like to think Zhongli would have been very amused, entertained and intrigued by my ramblings. We would have be great conversationalists if we ever met and talked and I would poke fun at him being a bit dum and being shit with Mora on that occasion. We would be good friends.

but fic ideas/hcs: okay so I have this one fic idea where pete plays soccer for his college and Patrick is an 18 year old who needs another PE credit to graduate, so to get around having to Actually Do PE he signs up as the waterboy for the colleges soccer team. so like he's there carrying water bottles around and handing them to the players and shit like that. and all the players are generally kind of mean to him and tease him and shit, but pete is really nice and also really hot and sweaty and takes his shirt off all the time and patrick is like totally drooling over him. and pete just thinks hes SO cute and adorable and he's always blushing at the smallest things so Pete is always really subtly flirting with him. anyways, perfect opportunity for some sort of locker room scene where patrick walks in and pete is in the showers or whatever.

I also have this idea of a fem Peterick au based off Patricks song Allie, where they were besties when they were younger and patrick was totally in love with pete but obviously never did anything about it bc she thought of pete as just older and cooler and herself as lame and boring. so anyways they get older and move away and one day patrick is about to preform at this club with her small band and they always open with the song Allie (which is really about Pete) but then she geos up there and starts singing and pete is RIGHT THERE IN THE AUDIENCE. and the song is like SO obviously about her, and pete is just standing there at the bar looking at patrick and smiling all knowingly and patrick wants to DIE but keeps playing and singing and shit. afterwards, patrick tries to like escape and run away without pete seeing her but she finds her and is all like "was that about me? awwww how cute" and patrick is like dying of embaressment and pete is having so much fun with it and in the end they fuck

okay last one, i have this idea where patrick goes off to college, and he's been dating pete for about a year before that and is used to pete always being around whenever he goes out and at parties and clubs and shit like that. but now patrick is out at college and everything is super new to him and he's away from Pete. and like every time he goes to a party or anything, there are always a ton of guys flirting w him and shit, bc like, he's super cute and hot and everyone wants him. but he's sort of oblivious because he's super innocent and he and pete haven't even ever done anything (bc pete wants to be all careful, bc patrick is young). so one day pete visits his campus and patrick takes him out to a party and pete sees how all these guys are all over patrick and he gets soooooo posessive and like at one point this dude is being kind of asshole-y with patrick and flirting with him and stuff and pete totally punches him in the face

And Childe growing to like battle was something I found interesting because he was once mentioned to be fragile and weak in his character stories iirc? I like to think that maybe the initial reason he persevered was to overcome that past status.

Also, YES. They’d have the worst habits, and it would eventually become more visible the more comfortable it becomes, but Keqing just gives up on trying to change anything because it’s literally hopeless.

I also headcanon that they have different ways to show appreciation for Keqing. E.g. Childe sometimes uses one of his cringy ass Russian nicknames and when she looks up the meaning, she turns from the most straight-faced woman known to man to a highkey affection-starved queen self-destructing in her room.

Diluc leaves a note on her desk that are simple “Sleep early today. Tomorrow is your day-off.” or “Don’t over work yourself.” messages. He’s so self-conscious about it because like, what if Kaeya catches him up at night contemplating whatever reaction he’ll get. Ends up feeling so accomplished whenever his messages bring a smile to her face.

Kaeya, I feel, would be more open in a sense? Keqing is the last person he thinks he’s be able to deceive, and so he chooses not to. He’s probably one who enjoys deep conversations about literally anything be it mosaic artwork or changes in between modern and archaic politics. A good listener and a fine conversation partner, I feel they’d certainly have interesting conversations.

Zhongli lowkey seizing every opportunity to bring up Rex Lapis and his sense of humor is lowkey degrading Morax for his past mistakes. He’s like “Oh, I thought you hated him. I hate him too” and proceeds to laugh at the fact that the oh-so legendary Geo archon bore a hole in his hoodie for his hair. FOR HIS HAIRS. Keqing is losing her sanity trying not to expose herself as a closeted fan.

WHY THE FUCK IS GENSHIN NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS? I KNOW ITS FUN AND GAMES BUT LET ME CARE ABOUT THEM. 1.4 has these hangout events and istg, bennett and barabara have one and if we don’t talk about our feelings I’m going to cry). 

oml their bad habits, Zhongli and his extensive collection of plants because that’s the most social interaction he gets (yes, zhongli is a planter. no i do not take criticism tyvm) and it starts off with a couple plants. Not too bad. Then the next day Keqing walks and it looks like their entire home turned into a forest. But Zhongli loves his plant children and Keqing is slowly losing her mind and starts referring to the plants with the nicknames Zhongli gave them. 

This. This is cute. These appreciation ideas. I fully approve and we need to bring them back. I don’t know anything about Russian but I have a friend that does. But I don’t know how to casually say “hey, can you give me Russian nicknames of endearment. It’s for research.”. Keqing radiates professional in the front, social anxiety in the back. I just love that they added the detail that she’s secretly a Rex Lapis fan but pretends that she hates him. I know there is art of Zhongli lowkey being creeped out or vv smug when he find’s Keqings stash but idk, imagining him being a proud dad and giving headpats even though Keqing is an adult. 

Okay. Let me level with you. Sticky notes of reassuring phrases are the best and why the fuck aren’t people doing it more. I’ve been reading “my mom left a note on the table” or “my partner puts sticky notes in my textbooks as a pick me up” for CENTURIES but am I seeing it in real life? Fuck no. Please, if someone does this for you. Keep them, never let them go. I can imagine Diluc writing these messages, feeling confident when he writes them and ready to be a supportive person. The next day he’s looking at these notes and thinking “what the fuck did I just write, this is garbage” (totally not how I feel about my writing). Then he proceeds to throw them in some cabinet but since Kaeya doesn’t know the first thing about personal boundaries he goes snooping around in Diluc’s room, discovers the notes, and he ends up taking them and putting them on Keqing’s things. It makes her happy so Diluc is going to ignore the very pressing issue with whether or not he should commit manslaughter. 

You know, that’s very valid. That’s how I feel about Kaeya’s relationship with Lisa or Albedo. People that don’t get riled up or annoyed by his antics the same way Amber is. I feel like if you’re looking for small talk, he’s not a bad choice, but if you want those deep 3am conversations he’s definitely the person to go to. Zhongli isn’t a bad choice either but Zhongli tends to go into historical and philosophical moments (which isn’t bad) but you want to have someone relate to you or it feels like an actual conversation and not a history lesson then he’s actually perfect. Especially more controversial topics, I feel like Kaeya would probably have very different opinions from the norm.

albedo: baby. i love him. so cute. don’t play with him much tho. i really only use him for his elevator flower 8/10

diluc: please come home,,,, i don’t have any main pryo characters bc i’m waiting for him 10/10

klee: honestly i’d be happy with her if i didn’t get diluc. i almost want her a little more? she’s cute and i like her fighting style but i’ve wanted diluc for so long it feels wrong to change up 10/10

lisa: horny, but she’s cool 5/10

amber: annoying. only useful for her pyro bow. 1/10

beidou: big booby mommy milky knockers. i like her shield too. i think she’s very pretty and i’ve always loved pirates so i’m glad i got her! 10/10

Qiqi: i have her but don’t use her. kinda bland. i think it’s the voice. i also don’t understandably she’s a zombie??? that doesn’t feel like it fits into the genshin universe very well 6/10

barbra: only a tiny bit annoying very sweet. #1 healer. how would i do spiral abyss without her? 10/10

zhongli: i wouldn’t mind having him but idk i just don’t find geo players that useful??? also no offense but i don’t really understand why people ship the traveler with him bc i view him as a grandpa. his form is hot but he just seems unromantic 9/10

venti: little shit (in a good way). i don’t have him and i don’t particularly want him, but he would be cool to have. same thing with zhongli where i can’t imagine him being romantic. kind of make an exception for xiao tho 9/10

xiao: at first i just wanted him bc he looked cool. then i played the trial and now i NEED him. pls come home bb 10/10

bennett: just got him! he’s a cutie and very useful but i’m still probably gonna use klee or diluc if i get them 8/10

ningguang: pretty lady. i’m going to get her from the free four star thing in the lanternrite event bc she’s the only one i don’t have. i don’t fully understand her attacks but pop off ig 6/10

mona: i don’t really get the hype about her? she’s cool tho. her sprint is neat but always throws me off a little 5/10

xingqiu: kinda boring. seems like he could be a good fighter but idk i don’t use him. i don’t really use any hydro characters for their damage, really 4/10

childe: ok i know i just said i don’t use any hydros for dps but i would make an exception for him!!! his narwhal attack is so cool!!!!! i haven’t played as him yet but i fought him and i feel like he would be a really good character to have. plus i like his personality (and his harbinger form? 🥵) 8/10

ganyu: cutie and i like using her to kill all of timmys pigeons but that’s really the only thing i need her for since kaeya is my main cryo dps 7/10

jean: i know she’s probably like 20something but i always picture her as like a 40 year old woman??? nice but kinda bland 5/10

razor: don’t have him. don’t really want him 4/10

noelle: i love her character design, she’s very pretty. do t really u set stand her that much tho. like every other geo character i’ve played with, not a big fan of her attacks 6/10

fischl: bro shut UP. all of her idle dialogue is annoying. she just seems kinda cringy. she’s a good fighter tho, but i replaced her with beidou as my main electro dps 4/10

sucrose: sweetie! don’t know much about her tho. i like her character design. sometimes i forget she exists 4/10

kequing: like her character design and fighting style. don’t particularly want or need her tho. i like her personality 6/10

diona: i have her but don’t use her that much. her personality seems slightly annoying but she gets bonus points for the cat ears 5/10

xiangling: only a little annoying. i like her attacks but her bear stresses me out bc sometimes he doesn’t face the right direction. i don’t like her hair that much. also i feel like she should get wayyy more bonuses on food but so far i’ve just seen that she can make one (1) special dish. my main purpose character for quite some time tho so i have to give her credit 6/10

chongyun: i don’t know much about him. it’s cool he’s an exorcist tho. 5/10

xinyan: also kind of annoying. good fighter but probably the worst of the pyros imo. the drum sound when she jumps annoys me. 4/10
