The protagonist of multiple World Quests, and the Traveler is merely a side character in her story. Canonically sapphic and attracted to F!Traveler, but never to M!Traveler. Killed a guy who tried to force her to marry him. Traumatized to hell and back. Committed genocide. Fully deserves to be a playable character.

Actually has a really compelling character arc from Golden Slumber to the end of the Tanit tribe questline. Also is clearly loved enough that she got a Valentine's Day art despite being an NPC which is iconic on its own

Unironically has a better multi part quest than the majority of archon and character quests. The fact that her story doesnt end on [um spoiler ig?] "oh her father died now she must continue his legacy ueueue" is genuinely refreshing. Also her second quest where she takes revenge with the traveller is my absolute favourite quest. All that and I'm always right and never wrong.

Mamere:

Mamere is genuinely so kind and caring to the Traveler. She isn't overbearing, and her quest left a good impression on me. The only thing she asked of us was to help her get paint. Mamere found Seymour and chose to take him in. I love her so much.

i'm not sure what other gay implications have been censored bc i've only heard of the jeht thing but that's quite sad 😭. those tweets really annoyed me since they felt so dismissive of how censorship affects lgb ppl and representation of same sex relationships. it's nice that hyv continues to give us implied gay and lesbian relationships even when they've been forced to remove stuff before. they even extend it NPCs (who don't make them money) and dedicated a whole lantern rite (only yearly reoccurring festival, representing chinese culture!!) to showing guiping being soulmates.

i've read that beiguang thread; i love it a lot and reread it (+ other threads by that twt user) every once in a while since the amount of symbolism between them is wonderful. like the amount of effort put into their relationship is so lovely. and i love that the VAs are allowed to openly talk about and ship the gay and lesbian ships. not only the english VAs but i've seen chinese VAs tease about them often too!!

ur right that bronya and seele are more explicitly lesbian in honkai impact! in fact they kiss in one of the mangas (so not in game but still official content) and unfortunately this actually got taken down due to censorship and iirc was only reuploaded on the global site. not sure if it's still unavailable in CN. and apart from those two, the other two main characters, kiana (protagonist) and mei (who ei and makoto are based on) are canonically in love too!! kiana declares her love for mei within like 10?? minutes of starting the game and is very affectionate towards her. the driving force behind one of mei's main character arcs is literally her love for kiana. they have a buuuunch of cute official art including them getting married etc.

for context kiana (white hair) is dying and mei (black hair) has been offered the chance to save her by an enemy organisation and kiana is trying to stop her from leaving and joining that organisation

no haha im actually already decently familiar with the hi3 lesbians (tho not the story of honkai), so thank you for the reminders and context! also i forgot the bronseele stuff got taken down, which is again such an obvious rebuttal to those people who go "well there's explicit gay relationships in hoyo's other games, so they could do it in genshin and this means the couples you think are implied gay actually aren't" yeah before the even harder censorship crackdown that occurred a few years ago, those games?? the ones now being affected by the same censorship? like lmao okay. and genshin is their most popular game, ofc the censorship will be more enforced upon the media that has the most eyes on it. like it doesn't take much thought to realize why and what is being censored in genshin lmao. i wish we had more explicit lesbian and gay rep in genshin tho :'( i'm familiar enough with kiana and mei to wish we got more stuff like that. maybe in an upcoming region we could get a lesbian couple that's more heavily hinted at like how alhaitham and kaveh were. and they need to go "back" to beidou and ning and ei and miko and give them more obvious couple-y hints and scenes, we haven't seen them in ages and i'm missing them so much, especially beidou and ning.

Congrats on surviving even more school & good luck on the inevitable more that comes after! Also good luck on those exams. Lumine is so iconic i haven't liked a character so quickly as i did her in ages. We are all better off with more jeht content tbh. She's fun & an interesting character we get to see grow. Hell if that aint my eternal mood. So much to do so little time. Xingqiu is so good i gave him a rest break after getting yelan & kokofish though he deserves it. I will manifest you getting him some day. I played faruzan's hangout & man its so good. I want her now. & once again lumine fits so well in the hangouts with the ladies too. Sdr2 had so many of my favorite characters & really did uh. Not do most of em justice it sucks. Thats what character adoption is for. That domain isnt like. The worst of them but it is annoying. So the usual advice applies. Get workable stuff & roll with it. Not worth farming for perfection. Good to know. I simply am always in awe of nature so i know ill like it regardless. That is very cool its amazin yall have been friends for so long. Me after playing dehya's story quest & also gaining her as a character first 10 pull. Ive gotten into so many series because of friends its like my vetting process. If someone whose tastes i trust says its good ill check it out. Like every honkai post i see from you reminds me i wanna continue that

hi again [once again sorry for the extremely late answer but im afraid this might become a bit of a pattern cos our teachers suddenly decided to give us Every Exam In Existence TvT] and thank you sm!!!! its. a lot. but im surviving. lumine is SO great frfr. tho i havent played the new archon quest yet [my interest in minecraft returned so ive been kinda doing that lol] so i havent seen any potential content from there yet. and i agree, jeht is amazing. im so glad mhy didnt just make her a throwaway character. and yeahhh isnt that life. i have. so many plans. and so little time And motivation. thank you for the manifestation 🙏🙏 im yelanless as her playstyle happens to not really be my thing but i DO have koko and i ❤ her. ouuugh then ill check it out!! one day at least. god im gonna have so much stuff to do when i finally get the energy to play genshin again. yeah sdr2 was. Something. danganronpa would be such a good game if it wasnt so bad. if that makes sense. but it was def a fun fandom, a fundom is you will. yeahh fair i just did that with the pale flame domain [THO I PROBABLY SHOULDNT HAVE COS MY EULA STILL HAS ONLY 4* ARTIFACTS.... but she can his 100k and im trying to not be a metaslave so im not that bothered]. yeah its still a REALLY cool experience so i cant recommend it enough. hehe right!! its all thanks to Tiny Me bc she had ten times the confidence of current me. and im still laylaless rip. yeah me too tbh!! and good luck on continuing honkai when u get to it!!!

He's so sweet. The Ancient Colors world quest was probably my favorite quest because of him. He cares so much about his family (a bunch of melusine who spawned from his decaying corpse). He cares so much about his visitors, and feels sad that his body seems to be toxic and threatening to them. He just wants to play and make friends but his definition of fun and beautiful is so unconventional that he ends up hurting people. If I remember correctly he's implied to be created by Gold which would make him Albedo and Durin's sibling as well. He's a giant dragon. He's an island. He's known to many humans as a beast. He's a system of caves flourishing with life. He's got biohazardous but very useful blood. He's a ghost. He's disembodied but still capable of controlling some elements of his body and communicating with melusine. He's an enormous terror with absolutely benevolent intention. He's just a little guy. In his mind scape he takes the shape of a melusine because he thinks the life that sprung from his decaying body is so beautiful. he's my favorite character ever.
