Genshin Impact: But if the Traveler was Master Chief (Masterlist)
Instead of otherwordly twins Aether and Lumine, it is John-117, aka the Master Chief, that enters the world of Tevyat. Armed with nothing but his Mjolnir armor, guns, and trusty companion Paimon, the super soldier of legend sets out to save this world…

─•~𝓜𝓪𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓵𝓲𝓼𝓽 ~•─ - The main masterlist with all my collections
𝒢𝑒𝓃𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓃'𝓈 𝒫𝓇𝒾𝓂𝑜𝑔𝑒𝓂𝓈 - Genshin Impact masterlist
Greetings 𝓭𝓻𝓲𝓯𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓼, I have come back to the land of the living. I'm currently testing out a few new styles to my writing and my tumblr posts. Apologies in advance for the constant editing to my blogs and thank you everyone for you patience! In this archive, we introduce our lovely Reader as a new addition to the gameplay as an interactable NPC. Each one will feature someone from each region to be their beloved spouse or lover or a dear friend of theirs. Other than that, I hope you all enjoy reading the archive's newest post.
P.S. If ever my dearest 𝓭𝓻𝓲𝓯𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓼 have any request they would love to be featured in the archives, I am open to receiving your ideas! Rules of these requests will be posted in the pinned post of my profile with that, I hope you all enjoy the the post.
Character Info
It was quite a shock when Genshin Impact introduces a new character. Especially someone whose origin is from Mondstadt. They introduce us to the new character, who is also part of the Knights of Favonious. They are the Second Chief Alchemist, known as Reader, and are usually the one who has to take care of the paperwork Albedo is not obligated to submit. Not that they can force him. They managed to get someone to take over the task their Chief Alchemist does not want to do. But our new alchemist is hiding more about herself than what the lore of Genshin perceives.
However the most surprising fact that fans cannot believe is that our new character is the wife of Diluc Ragnvindr. The person who we meet during Diluc’s Second Character Story Quest that will be introduced alongside the current rerun banners. She is known to be quite blunt and cruel to the common folk. But the Knights of Favonious respect her position and the works she contributes to help the city. She often works in her office in the Headquarters and in some instances, she travels to Dragonspine to check on Albedo and to conduct her own dangerous experiments. Her story tells us more about the hidden mysteries of Teyvat, especially when you interact with her.
More about Character: Conclusion
“I feel it again. The pain that Istaroth brought to me. It brings back the memories I once lost and the unwavering feeling of betrayal she sunk into my heart. I will never forget that day. The divinity she shared with me, it consumes my soul and it breaks my body. I don't think I can control myself one day. If ever I go too far, just know you may kill me. I will always come back to the mortal plane. Something I dream to escape from.”
First Meeting
There are certain requirements to access Diluc’s Second Story Quest. One of which is Albedo’s story quest to unlock Dragonspine. It starts off with a commission request from the Acting Grand Master.
Traveler gets to know you when they finish another daily commission. The quest is triggered once you receive the rewards from Katheryne. They trigger a conversation from Katheryne who informs them that Acting Grand Master Jean requests their assistance. As soon as you arrive at the Headquarters, you converse with Jean who requests your help to locate Master Diluc. Apparently there was a physical dispute that the Knights had to break regarding the Wine merchants from Fontaine. Lisa and Kaeya come in to inform Jean that the last sighting of Diluc was that he was on his way to Dragonspine. When Traveler accepts the commission, they are accompanied by the two, surprisingly, and is quite suspicious of the innocent smile Lisa sent their way.
As they travel up along Dragonspine, they go through multiple challenges on the way. That’s when they unexpectedly bump into Diluc who is also on his way up the mountain.
“Master Diluc! Just the person we need.” Lisa purrs as she summons her book to flick a bolt of lightning to the cryo slimes surrounding the redhead. Diluc slashes the frosty monsters, trying to crowd them around. Traveler lends a hand by crowding them together with their anemo powers before Diluc deals a heavy blow of pyro in his claymore. Effectively killing all the cute slimes and stopping them from bothering them now.
“We have been looking for you,Master Diluc.” Kaeya says, keeping his sword away since the fight is over. Diluc huffs at his comment but chooses to quickly spot a nearby campfire to light it. “You’re quite the wanted man.”
“I’m not sure what you mean by that, Captain Kaeya.” He rests his claymore on the ground as he gestures for the group to huddle around the newly-lit campfire. He blows a breath into his gloved palms as he lets the warmth sink into his skin. “I’m merely on my way to fetch my wife.”
Hold up- wait a minute.
“WIFE?!” Paimon screams in disbelief while Traveler blinks in surprise. “Master Diluc, you’re married?” The only answer Traveler gets is a small chuckle from Lisa who confirms it with a growing grin. Kaeya on the other hand is baffled beyond comparison. He splutters in confusion before settling on a very confused but devastating expression. “You’re married?” He whispers in utter disbelief and just a little, just a little bit of betrayal settles beneath his tone.
Diluc sighs and looks away with an irritated face, a faint hint of blush dusting his skin. “Yes.” He says admittedly with an exasperated but fond tone. Paimon stares at Diluc in disbelief before stuttering out questions regarding his relationship. They spend a few minutes by the campfire as they try to wait out the increasing wind currents of the snowy peaks. By the time they were moving, Paimon was still pestering Diluc about his marriage and Traveler couldn’t help but let it be. Even they were curious about their friend’s relationship that even no one else knew.
“Wait… Your wife is in Dragonspine?”
“That is the workplace of an Alchemist.”
“Alchemist?!”
It wasn’t until a literal earthquake shook the mountain core that they stopped their little interrogation. The group, alert and prepared for an attack, try to find the origin of the earthquake. That’s when a ruin guard lands before them with a heavy impact that sweeps them off their feet. Diluc quickly gets up on his feet and rushes towards the Ruin Guard preparing to shoot a few missiles their way.
But a bolt of lightning descends from above, followed by a figure that pierces through the Ruin Guard’s arm. Traveler uses that distraction to throw their sword at the Ruin Guard before it is knocked off with a high-pitched ring and lands on the snow. A deep but authoritative tone screams through the blizzard winds that could have embedded fear in their hearts. “ Don’t touch my- EXPERIMENT!” The crackle of lightning had them stepping back as the immense power had the hairs on their arms standing in attention of the danger. A hiss of lightning bolted through the arms before a white spear drove itself through the Ruin Guard’s power core.
“How annoying.” The figure was a woman. She was tall and proud in her stance. She took out her spear with wires that clung to the white metal of her weapon. With a twirl of her spear, she drives the blunt end of the weapon through the Ruin Guard for good measure. She whips her head to meet the group and she strides onwards towards them. Her tone was forced and furious beneath her tongue. Her jaw was grit tight and a small sneer made its way on her face.
“What’s troubling you, dear.” Diluc puts away his claymore as his wife huffs away irritated. She also puts away her weapon and sighs exasperated. “The amount of paperwork that is.” She snarkily replies as she comes forward to the quartet still gaping at her in awe and disbelief. Adjusting her coat and her gloves, she reaches a hand out to the traveler.
“Nice to meet you, Traveler. I suppose you’ve been dragged along to retrieve my husband, yes?"
Interactable on the Map
After finishing Diluc’s Second Story Quest, a hidden mechanic that people overlook is that you can talk to Reader. As mentioned before, you can catch a glimpse of her in the newly open second floor of the Headquarters inside her office or on her camping spot at the top of Dragonspine. Interacting with her the first time will give you 10 intertwined fates.
“Thank you for helping my husband, Traveler. I know he gave you compensation for the trouble but I’m also giving you my part of the compensation. Think of it as a package deal from us.”
Afterwards, she gives you one extra commission every week worth 60 primogems. And when you visit her after completing that new commission, she sometimes may talk to you, other times she stays silent.
“How do I know so much about the gods? Well… I’m a high priestess. I used to serve Istaroth, even long before Khanre’iah fell. I lived for so long, even longer than the Archons but even immortality has its downsides. Watching so many people perish before myself was harder than acknowledging the blood soaking my hands.” — Reader, Alchemy Office of the Knights of Favonius Headquarters
“Your sister? Hm… I’m unsure. I’ve never met her nor have I heard of an, “Abyss Princess.” However I can give you words of advice, Traveler. Whatever you are seeking, it’s already garnered their attention. Be wary of the people, Traveler. They’re hiding, hoping to catch you off guard.” — Reader, Dragonspine

Name: Furina
Series: Genshin Impact
Continuity: Video Game
Age: 20 (physical appearance)
Height: 4'11"
Birthday: October 13th
Birthplace: Fontaine
Orientation: Bisexual
Species: Cursed oceanid turned human (formerly) Human (currently)
Occupation: Hydro archon (formerly) Stage and film director (currently)
Bio:
Created by the second hydro archon in the history of Teyvat, Focalor. Egeria, the previous hydro archon, was killed during the cataclysm 500 years ago and so Focalor was hand-picked by Egeria before her death as her successor. Yet the real Focalor would never ascend to the throne of the hydro archon, for she created a human clone and sealed herself within the Oritrice as part of her master plan to save Fontaine from the great flood and restore Neuvilette's power rightfully back to him as the original ruler of Fontaine, whose power was stolen from his past incarnation during the archon war.
The Furina spoken of here is entirely human, only cursed with immortality until the rest of Focalor's plan came into action for Furina to act out the role of archon to trick the Heavenly Principles into believing the prophecy reigned true when it did not.
As the 'archon' of hydro and justice, Furina is to be the symbol of justice and power despite having none of her own, Neuvillette works with her as the chief judge of all court cases as well as the hydro gnosis staying within the Oritrice for Focalor to use her powers as an archon within. An automaton, named the Oratrice, powers all the electrical lighting and other automatons within Fontaine and keeps the nation as one of the most developed in all of Teyvat.
Yet all is not happy for Furina, for she is drowning in loneliness and anguish over pretending to be someone she isn't for five-hundred years. Many nights, when she's certain no one is around, Furina will often cry over her own agony from a situation she never asked to be a part of. After all, she is human and it's a cruel fate to ask a human to do a God's work.
For as haughty, arrogant, rude and immature as she acts on the outside, Furina deep down is extremely insecure and lonely. She wonders why Focalors left all this on her shoulders, but has no choice but to keep pressing on in her masquerade to put this prophecy to an end.
Yet if there is one thing that Furina holds about herself, it is her strong belief in justice. She believes all people should face punishment for their crimes, and will often jump to conclusions in the courtroom which leads to her becoming flustered. She also holds a great love of theater and acting, finding plays about lies and betrayals to be the most equisite as it gives her an escape from the hell she must endure.
Thanks to the Oritrice, being Focalor who sealed herself inside so she could one day kill herself as part of her grand plan to destroy the hydro throne, Furina doesn't have to enact any form of magic or power so masking her own lack of power has been easy. From minor pickpockets to serial killers, Furina stays all day in the Court of Fontaine to watch every case. Although she grows bored easily when cases are not filled with shocking twists and dramatics, something Fontaine's court system thrives on during trials to feed the Oritrice.
However, after the crisis was adverted thanks to The Traveler and Neuvilette's rightful place was restored to him, Furina lives largely in isolation in a small house in the city of Fontaine. Her life is in constant danger due to 'lying' about being the archon of Fontaine, but she no longer dons a mask by pretending to be a God. She isn't happy yet, but maybe someday she will be.
It would only be thanks to The Traveler's help that Furina would receive a hydro vision from Neuvilette, and obtain powerful abilities thanks to being the creation of the last hydro archon of Fontaine. She summons hydro creatures to protect those around her, as well as holds great gifts with a sword.
She does later attempt to reinvent herself by becoming an actress thanks to 500 years of practice in the biggest acting role anyone could ask for.

Genshin Impact: Albedo x Reader (Fluff/Agnst)
Genshin Impact: Albedo x Reader (Agnst)
AN: This is just a little bit of a story idea of what I can imagine for Albedo and with the traveler. This is one of my first times doing something like this and I hope that you’ll enjoy it :)
-=+=-
“Cecilia. A beautiful flower with a name that suits its appearance. It only grows where harsh winds blow, and is just as intangible as the true heart of an unbound soul.” Albedo had held a seedling towards the traveler, (Y/N). She stared carefully in bewilderment as the young alchemist had clenched his fist. A soft glowing light had radiated from his grasp as he slowly opened his hand, revealing an elegant flower that had blossomed from his chalk. The traveler watched in awe when looking at Albedo’s little performance.
(Y/N) was the one to encourage Albedo to take up alchemy from his Master. She’s glad that she was able to give Albedo a push into the direction that his Master would have wanted him to go. Now that he’s been studying and grasping a better understanding of The Art of Khemia, (Y/N) would be the one to listen in on Albedo’s rambles of new concepts of things that would be hard to understand for any ordinary person. Albedo had genuinely enjoyed her company, but he could also feel something else in his chest.
It was a warm feeling. Something that would give him enough energy to stay up countless nights just spending time with the young girl. He couldn’t quite put it into words of what this feeling meant, but Albedo knew that he must hold onto it as long as he can.
Albedo looked back up into (Y/N)’s (E/C) eyes and couldn’t help but appreciate how they glistened underneath the moonlight. Without thinking, Albedo had tucked the Cecilia behind the girl’s ear. “It’s so... heavenly,” The ashy light blonde haired boy had whispered under his breath, too captivated to realize he was staring too long. (Y/N) blushed, hoping that her ears had heard correctly. Seeing her blush had made him grow red, retracting his hand that once traced her cheek, “I-I meant the flower. C-Cecilia’s can also mean heavenly!” the boy had flushed timidly.
He doesn’t usually get embarrassed, but lately, he’s been acting differently towards his beloved friend. (Y/N) had let out her laughter. Seeing his reaction towards her had made her realize how blessed she was to be able to meet such an extraordinary person. Albedo hid behind his sketchbook to hide his face from the (H/C) haired girl to prevent himself from feeling any more embarrassed. After all, they both were just two young kids that could see what others couldn’t see.
(Y/N) had lowered Albedo’s sketchbook to meet his bright teal eyes. He timidly stared back at his friend, his words stuck in his throat with his heart hammering against his chest. She closed the distance between both of them and had placed a soft kiss against Albedo’s forehead.
“Whatever you say, my Chalk Prince.” she caught him off guard with a peck on the head. It took a few seconds for Albedo to register what she had done. As a sign of requited feelings towards each other, he had dropped his sketch onto the soft grass of Starsnatch Cliff. He entwined one hand with (Y/N)’s while the other had been placed behind (Y/N)’s head. Both of them smiled beneath the starry night sky of Mondstadt.
“(Y/N). I don’t understand what you’re doing to me. I lack the knowledge to fully express my feelings towards you. Out of all of the people I’ve ever met, you’ve been the only one that could pique my interest... I don’t ever want to lose you.” Albedo had confessed as he closely watched (Y/N)’s beautiful features. She had let go of his hands and grinned, wrapping her arms around the studious boy. She was delighted. So excited that she had pushed Albedo against the soft grass of the cliffs.
This enchanting atmosphere was enough for Albedo. This is all he could ever ask for. (Y/N) was the perfect person to help him pursue his future career and dreams.
(Y/N)’s laughter filled Albedo’s ears as he put a hand on her back to push her closer to his chest. Holding her against his heartbeat was a brave move, even for him to do. Choosing Starsnatch Cliff as a drawing location was the best option for both of them to enjoy each other’s company.
Young love beneath the captivating moon. There was nothing more to it than two soulmates basking in each other’s presence. Two crystal butterflies fluttered over the both of them, perhaps a symbol of the both of them.
Right now the only thing Albedo could think of was her.
(Y/N).
He studied her (E/C) eyes, so allured, so caught up in the moment. Laying on the patch of grass, he readjusted the Cecilia flower in her hair. She was perfect.
“(Y/N). I want to let you know that I...” he paused.
Albedo noticed twinkling stars that glittered in the sky. Comets and shootings stars had flown over their heads. (Y/N) looked up from Albedo and watched in awe. It wasn’t often that you would see such a sight.
“We should make a wish together.” Albedo had seen how she watched in wonder. That’s right. You two came out here to make a wish.
The traveler had grinned, laying her head back down against the young man’s chest. “If that’s the case then I wish for you to accept the position of Chief Alchemist!” she had said so proudly. He softly chuckled, “You don’t have to use your wish on me for me to do that. I want you to be happy with your wish, (Y/N).” he murmured.
“But it’s true. I think that wish alone will make me happy enough.” (Y/N) spoke confidently. The ash blonde alchemist felt it again. He felt his heart beating faster again. How was it that she could only think about his well being?
“What about you, Albedo? What do you wish for?” she asked with curiosity.
Albedo blinked.
He didn’t know if he had the courage to say it out loud. He gulped, feeling her gaze to be too much for him to handle. “If you’re wishing for me, then I suppose that I have no other option but to also wish for your happiness.” He shyly muttered.
(Y/N) couldn’t stop smiling.
She wished that this moment could last forever.
With that, both of them had embraced each other in this pure moment.
Albedo reached up in the air once again while holding the (H/C) haired girl in his arms. “The universe is the dark essence of the true starry sky, and the earth is the accumulated memories of time and lives. You’ve helped me come along this journey of mine to realize that I shouldn’t keep my distance from everyone anymore,” he spoke.
“You carry the aura of the stars. More beautiful than any other view there is, the liveliest flower in Teyvat, and the greatest thing birthed from chalk. Your serenity is quite enchanting and your laughter is music to my ears, I wouldn’t know what to do if I couldn’t hear it every day. Nothing can compare to you in the universe.” Albedo confessed with sincerity that tugged his heart.
(Y/N) couldn’t have fallen in love with anyone else in the world. Albedo’s charm is what lured the young girl in the most. His search for knowledge and interest in his research is unparalleled to any other.
He sat up, holding dearly onto (Y/N)’s smaller hands.
“In other words, this is my declaration of... love. It’s all so foreign to me so I’d appreciate it if you’re patient with me.” He bashfully told the girl how he felt. (Y/N) smirked, “If that’s how you truly feel, then I’d like you to tell me the special eight letters, three words.” she teased, seeing Albedo’s blush intensify.
Albedo slowly closed the distance between the girl.
“Then if that’s the case...”
“I...”
“I love you.”
Is what Albedo would have said.
Eyes fluttering open, he began to panic in the middle of his bed. Losing the warmth and presence of (Y/N), he came to the realization that...
(Y/N) was no longer there.
Reminiscing in his dreams would brighten his memories of his lover.
That’s right.
He still can’t stop lingering from the past.
Albedo sat up from his bed, the dream feeling too surreal for him to comprehend. (Y/N)’s melodic laughter couldn’t be heard anymore. The vivid dreams he’s been having of the young (H/C) haired girl has been too much for him to handle.
“I have to go back to conducting my research. It’s what (Y/N) would have wanted.” Albedo had to remind himself out loud. If he doesn’t then he would continue to coop himself up in his bed trying to recollect the memories of (Y/N)’s lovely scent.
He slowly got up from his bed and sluggishly walked towards his desk. On his way to his chair, he knocked down a pile of sketchbooks across the floor. Not bothering to pick it up, he began to focus on the sheet of paper in front of him.
“Yes. I have to continue writing this report.” He muttered, all slumped over as he grabbed his pen. The Cecilia flowers on his desk had withered long before he could realize it on his own. Time had seemed to fly past due to his grieving.
At first, it was very... difficult.
(Y/N) never seemed like the type of person to get sick very often. She was always brave and outgoing in the lands of Mondstadt. With her adventurous ambitions, you would think that she had no weaknesses. Of course, that’s what she would show to the others on the outside. Nobody else could know about her illness. The only one she could tell of her little secret was no one other than the Chief Alchemist, her beloved.
Yet, this was the beginning of a burden. Although Albedo enjoyed discovering the truth of the world and jumping into the unknown of unknowns, this was certainly a predicament that stuck a thorn in his thumb. Albedo was able to research and identify nearly any conflict within his path as an alchemist while utilizing his knowledge of what he knew from his Master. There was no way that he wouldn’t be able to find out a cure for her illness, right?
Right?
Wrong.
Albedo snapped out of his thoughts.
Coming back to his senses, it appears that he had unconsciously drawn... her.
Again.
A perfectly sketched portrait of (Y/N). It looked like an exact replica of what (Y/N) had once looked like. Yet again, Albedo knew that nothing else would compare to her beauty. He winced, finding it difficult to rip up the paper that had depicted (Y/N)’s soft features that used to grin back at him. Frustrated, he threw everything off of his desk. All of his testing tubes and glass graduated cylinders had shattered against the cold floor.
Nothing.
None of the drawings he had could compare to her.
No matter how hard he tried to perfectly sketch her entirety, it just wasn’t enough. Albedo couldn’t find any other way to let go of his (Y/N). How else can he get rid of these aching feelings in his chest? Wasn’t he supposed to be the most talented alchemist and a natural-born genius? Wasn’t he supposed to be the one to always find a way to get her out of her troubles? Just why in the world did the Archons curse him to lose one of the things that could bring him hope?
Albedo slammed his fist against one of the portraits, accidentally tearing the paper itself. His tantrum stopped as he took a look at what he had done.
There it was.
(Y/N)’s flower had been scratched out of the painting. The beautiful Cecilia flower that Albedo had once placed behind her ear while he cherished her dearly.
He dropped to his knees in defeat.
“Why..? Why did you have to leave me, (Y/N)?” He whispered in distraught. He could feel a lump in his throat as he clenched his fists, “No... I shouldn’t be blaming you for your passing. It is all but my fault for being incompetent.” his voice was saddening. This bitter taste of love was all he had left of (Y/N).
He could no longer look at his paintings and sketches the same now that she was no longer with him. Melancholy was a word that could not measure how much he had missed her. Looking up at the stars can only bring him the painful memory of when he had professed his love to her. Walking through the field of Cecilias can only remind him of how much he had missed what it was like to hold her hand and kiss her on the forehead. The times he stayed up to continue doing his research with (Y/N) on his side would remind him that things will never be the same because she’s gone.
Perhaps his grief has gotten the best of him.
He looked at all of the scattered pages that were ripped out of his notebook. All of the pages had perfect drawings of (Y/N) in her natural state. The bags under Albedo’s teal blue eyes were enough to show anyone how much he stayed up thinking about her.
Albedo walked up to a large canvas that was carefully painted and crafted to be almost flawless. (Y/N)’s body fit the painting and looked as if she could come to life.
It didn’t matter if Albedo broke the natural laws of life.
All he wanted to do was see (Y/N)’s smile once again.
Albedo gripped the portrait in front of him desperately.
If all fails, he’ll just continue to try again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
That’s what it takes to be an alchemist. It’s all trial and error. Albedo couldn’t leave any more room for doubt. He has to continue persisting to look for her fleeting love. He will face any consequence in order to get her back safely in his arms. He’ll obstruct and rip apart any law of alchemy to even receive another affectionate, “I love you”. He is the only person to understand her weakness, and he continues to walk the path of life to have her as his strength. His azure eyes widened with determination, a surge of light glowing from his hands.
He will continue saying this.
Again.
Again.
Again.
“Arise, lifeless dust of the universe and that within. Thou art reborn.”

Control Lost, Nothing Gained
platonic Klee and Albedo
Genshin Impact
Warnings: Angst, unedited
How much longer could he hold it back? Albedo didn’t know. The power he held, it was growing. It… It was getting stronger, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. He could go ask someone for help maybe? But who to ask? It’s not as though he could just waltz up to one of the knights and go “Hey, I’ve got so much power that one day I might lose control and destroy all of Mondstat. Mind killing me?” Yeah, like anyone would believe that. They’d think he was mad because of some alchemic mishap. ‘How about the traveler?’ He thought to himself, maybe that was the right idea. He paused in his thoughts. ‘I could not- No, I should not let the traveler have such a thing on their conscience.’ His eyelids felt heavy as he stared up at the night sky, which was clear as the snow he walked past every day, and gave into sleep, his thoughts slipping away.
Some time had gone by, Albedo realized. It was the dawn of a day later in the week, and he could feel the presence of the power more than ever before. But, he could not let it overwhelm him today, his facade could not break in front of the person he most loved. He would not let the person who he saw as his younger sibling see him in such a broken state. He had to hold it together, even if it was just for the day. He was taken out of his thoughts by an explosion in the distance and a cry of, “Oh no! Master Jean won’t be happy with me if she finds out about this…”
Albedo chuckled quietly and began to make his way to the source of the noise. Lo and behold, there she was, the young Spark Knight, Klee. She heard him approach and ran over, a sad look on her face.
“Albedo… It was an accident! Klee didn’t mean to…”
“Well, as long as Grandmaster Jean didn’t see, I don’t recall anything happening…” He feigned ignorance, and Klee’s frown turned into a smile.
“You won’t get in trouble, right?”
Albedo shook his head. “I’ll be fine. Shall we head to the camp?”
Klee gleefully nodded, and ran ahead. He couldn't help but smile at the girl’s cheery visage. He followed her, and was about to say something when he was struck with a sharp pain.
“Ngh…!”
“Albedo?”
‘No… not now… please… not now…’ He couldn’t stop it. That was something he knew for a long time, but he had hoped that he would at least have had the chance to spend a bit more time with everyone before he lost himself… As it turns out, dreams and hopes rarely come to fruition.
He fell onto his knees in front of the young girl, who ran over with a concerned look. “Is something wrong? Should I get a person?”
He would have laughed if it weren’t for all the pain he was in. No one could help him now. “Klee, I want you to- gah…!”
Klee took a sharp breath and walked closer. “No! Stay back!” Albedo could hear the distortion in his voice, a warped and broken tone instead of his usual monotone-sounding vocals. He looked down at himself. His appearance, it was changing. The black veins were beginning to crawl up his arms, and the poor girl standing in front of him looked terrified. He tried so desperately to call out to her, but it was no use, Albedo realized. He had already lost control.
“Big brother Albedo…? What’s going on? What’s happening?!” He could still hear the panic in Klee’s voice. Oh, how much he wanted to shout out, tell her to run, to leave and never come back, to not look at him… But he wasn’t able to say a thing. Instead, he felt his body move, rising into the sky and taking off in the direction of the city. The small knight followed, opting to use a waypoint. Jean had always told her they were faster, and she had made it to the headquarters before he could make it to the city.
The knights were notified, and they had gathered upon the bridge. They were to stop Albedo at all costs. He landed in front of them, veins that went from black to purple trailing up and down his body, eyes red and dilated, parts of his outfit ripped off. He did not say a word, merely glared. Jean could only stare, shocked at that which their chief alchemist had become. “K...” Kaeya hesitated, looking at the figure that stood in front of their group. Albedo had been his friend and comrade for so long. He was the only one who understood. Keaya paused again and looked up, making his decision. That… that thing that stood in front of him… it was not his friend. “K… Kill him! At any cost necessary!”
It was what had to be done. “Wait! NO!” It was the voice of the Spark Knight that halted them all in their tracks. “That’s… That’s my big brother! You can’t…!” Klee stepped forward. “Big brother?” Her words were quiet. Albedo fought, he tried as hard as he could. He HAD to regain control, even if it was only for a moment. He had finally managed it. “Klee… I know this might be hard, but you have to stop me, ok?” “No! I won’t! You’re… you’re big brother Albedo! You’re not-” “Klee.” Tears were forming in the girl’s eyes. “Look at me.” She sniffled and looked at Albedo, who’s eyes were as kind as she remembered them being.
“When this is all over, in another time, we can play together again, ok? Just like we did. We can spend all the time in the world together, but right now, I need you to- ngh..!” “But… But I can’t…” He smiled at her fondly. “You, can and you must. Please Klee. For me. I love you, okay? You know that, right?” He lost control. His eyes turned back to that sickening red color. “I… I love you too, big brother Albedo!” She wiped away her tears, and Klee prepared for what she now had to do. The knights launched their attack at Kaeya’s signal once more, and the fight began.

Genshin OC
Hi hi! I’ve been preparing this for awhile, I present you my Genshin Impact OC, Lorena. Most of her info is based of how I play, the things I do and the things I like.
Genshin has occupied a big place in my life lately, and it’s the first time in a lot of years I got so hooked in a game. It is very relaxing in general (except when moobs appear) and the graphics and story are brilliant in general.
Anyways, my lovely mutuals who don’t play Genshin, I’m kinda sorry for spaming you with game theories and crack headcanons LMAO. I will bother you again with my traveler-sona kind of OC.
This character was already thought of since April, but just now I managed to get the courage to show her, big shout-out to @genshxn whose post made me finally pushing to design her.
Also, shout-out to @witchhazelbazel who is hosting a wonderful OC event all on her own (I hope you don’t mind me tagging you ehe)
I will shut up now.
(I am trying a less serious drawing style I like a lot more. Super proud of the graphic. Maybe I should update some more??)
Lorena
— General
Name: Lorena
Age: 20
Birthday: April 25th
Nationality: Mondstadt
Weapon of choice: Claymore
Vision: Anemo
Constellation: Cornu Copiae
Affiliation: Adventurers’ Guild
— Personality
Values: Honesty, courage, responsibility, family.
Likes: Eating, heights, mountain climbing, mora.
Dislikes: Irresponsibility, rudeness, swimming.
Lore is a happy-go-lucky girl with a bit reckless and too much curious tendencies, which makes her land in some unpleasant situations. She is always prepared to help someone. Has a record of being flirty towards people, but she can’t help it! She always makes sure to be respectful and adjust to everyone. She likes when people are direct with her as she is with people, so if there is something she did which made you uncomfortable, just tell her. But no rudeness allowed!
While she usually manages to keep a cool head, she panics really easy and hard for a solid minute before gathering herself.
— Background
She comes from a family who was poor and got sick easily, eating scraps and whatever food anyone gave them. Her parents died from an infection and she was separated from her sibling at a young age. She did everything to survive and find her sister. From there on, she joined the Adventurers’ Guild in hopes of gaining enough mora for her and her sister.
At some point, when she was finishing a commission, she got thrown over a cliff. She felt strangely safe when a current of wind managed to get her down safely, anemo vision in hand. She free-falls since then, glider on her shoulders to break her fall.
— Relationships
She is friendly and open-minded, so she doesn't have problems doing friends.
Lorena appreciates liveliness, so she is usually running around with Venti or gliding with Amber, and she gets Xiangling ingredients for her weird concoctions whenever she visits Liyue Harbor, she is her first taster!
When she wants a bit of silence, she hangs out with Noelle and Barbara, making sure they get a bit of rest. If they are not with her, she is visiting the ever-brooding master Diluc on Angel’s Share to entertain him a bit or cooking almond tofu for Xiao on Wangshu Inn.
If she isn't with any of them, then she is more often than not visiting Albedo up on Dragonspine, as the Chief Alchemist is cooped up in his laboratory. He has her do a lot of things, from getting materials to being his experiment tester. She doesn’t mind, as his experiments with her are fun. She likes him, so it’s not unusual watching her hiking up the mountain for him. The thought of her feelings being reciprocated makes her giddy but only from time to time, as she thinks there isn’t really anything of her for him to like.
Maybe she should look herself again in the mirror, for rumor has it, certain alchemist fancies her, too.
— Trivia
Her curiosity has made her get involved in some shenanigans. She glided over the Pearl Galley, where she had to get an invitation, and the Crux while it was waiting for a woman named Beidou. Both of the travels were an accident.
She is currently trying to explore Dragonspine, but she always gets back to the camp with frostbite and injuries. She tries to see Albedo everytime.
She is really good with kids. She gets a bit sad when she remembers her sister, but she is determined to find her.
Her favorite dishes are matsutake meat rolls, adventurer’s breakfast sandwich and Mondstadt hash browns; while she dislikes fisherman toasts and radish veggie soup.
Her hobbies include farming, gliding, free-falling and mountain climbing. Well, she likes climbing up practically everything. Her favorite place so far is Huaguang Stone Forest.
She wants to travel soon to Sumeru and Natlan!
She is interested in ancient history and ruins, so they are her favorite places to visit of a nation.
For some reason she can't understand, she always do commissions at night. It doesn't matter if she just woke up. She's always sleep deprived.
Her constellation name, Cornu Copiae means Horn of Abundance. It has the form of a filled horn.
—22.06.21. Added Lorena's constellation Cornu Copiae and it's meaning.

FEATURE: The Anime Stars of Genshin Impact
Image via miHoYo
Genshin Impact has lived up to its name in that it has indeed made an impact upon the gaming world. Launched on September 26, the free-to-play open-world game has amassed $245 million in only its first month, and that's from Android and iOS alone. I'm not ashamed to say that I have sunk an unholy number of hours into this game. Why do I like this game so much? Perhaps the biggest reason Genshin Impact is so appealing to me is that I am an anime fan.
Voices from all over the world of anime can be heard in Genshin Impact, from Naruto to My Hero Academia to currently airing seasonal anime. Being able to "hear" your favorite anime character in-game is part of what makes this game so great. Let's take a look at some of the talented people from the anime industry whose voices bring the characters of Genshin Impact to life.
Paimon (Aoi Koga)
Paimon is the face of Genshin Impact. No, literally, her face is on the launcher icon. Imagine my shock when I found out she is voiced by Aoi Koga, the voice of Kaguya Shinomiya from Kaguya-sama: Love is War. The intimidatingly smart rich girl Kaguya and the squeaky and energetic (and kinda stupid) Paimon couldn't be more different. Props to Koga for making both work. Koga has also voiced Elulu from Cautious Hero, Yuri Miyata from TWOCAR, and Sora Kaneshiro from Angel's 3Piece.
Male Traveler (Shun Horie)
One of the first actions you take in the game (in most games, for that matter) is to choose your character. In Genshin Impact, you choose between two world-traveling twins, who the other characters simply refer to as "Traveler." The male Traveler (whose official name is Aether) is voiced by Shun Horie. I personally recognize him as Enta from Sarazanmai, but most would know him as Kazuya ("Kazuya-kuuuuun!") from Rent-a-Girlfriend. Some of his other roles include Ichiro Suzuki aka Satou Pendragon from Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Rat from Juni Taisen: Zodiac War, and Hacker from this season's Akudama Drive.
Female Traveler (Aoi Yuuki)
What about the female Traveler (whose official name is Lumine)? Turns out she's voiced by Aoi Yuuki, who voices ... Mami from the same show. The irony of this coincidence is not lost on me. Yuuki is probably best known for voicing Madoka Kaname, the protagonist of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. To me, however, her most memorable role was as the titular Boogiepop in 2019's Boogiepop and Others; an unforgettable performance. She's voiced a number of other notable roles, including Tamaki from Fire Force, Tsuyu Asui (Froppy) from My Hero Academia, Tanya from Saga of Tanya the Evil, Tornado from One-Punch Man, Kayo from ERASED, Yuuki Konno from Sword Art Online II, and Hachiman's sister Komachi from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.
Amber (Manaka Iwami)
Image via Madman Entertainment
Amber is one of the game's most popular characters, owing to her cheerful and optimistic personality. She is voiced by Manaka Iwami, the voice of Teresa Wagner in Tada Never Falls in Love, Lykos in Children of the Whales, Mizuho in Wave, Listen to Me!, and Maquia in Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms.
Kaeya (Kohsuke Toriumi)
The cool and charismatic Kaeya is, surprisingly enough, voiced by Kohsuke Toriumi, known as the voice of the hotheaded Kiba from Naruto. He has also voiced Shunsuke Imaizumi from Yowamushi Pedal, Mista from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Cecil from the Uta no Prince-sama franchise.
Lisa (Rie Tanaka)
A lazy and flirtatious scholar with electrical powers, Lisa is voiced by the experienced Rie Tanaka, who one might easily recognize as Lacus Clyne from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. The gentle, "sisterly" voice of Lacus suits Lisa's personality to a T. Tanaka has also voiced Yomi from Azumanga Daioh, Chii from Chobits, Sammy from Time of Eve, Maria from Hayate the Combat Butler, Chizuru from Squid Girl, and Suiginto from Rozen Maiden.
Barbara (Akari Kito)
The first Akari Kito role that catches the eye is her performance as Kotoko Iwanaga in In/Spectre; both she and Barbara have a near-identical dressing sense, with their frilly white frock and cap. Kito has also voiced Nezuko in Demon Slayer, Nene Yashiro in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, Kaho Hinata in BLEND-S, and Suzune Horikita in Classroom of the Elite. You can also look forward to hearing her as Tsukasa in TONIKAWA and Adachi in Adachi and Shimamura this season.
Beidou (Ami Koshimizu)
Beidou is voiced by Ami Koshimizu, voice of Ryuko from Kill la Kill and Kallen from Code Geass — two popular characters from two of the biggest shows of our times. Some of her other roles include Holo from Spice and Wolf, Tenma from School Rumble, Nodoka from Saki, and Shizuri from A Certain Scientific Railgun.
Bennett (Ryota Osaka)
Bennett's design coupled with his "passionate" and "righteous" personality screams "protagonist" to me. And that's exactly what his voice actor Ryota Osaka delivers, being the voice of Eijun Sawamura from Ace of the Diamond, Nariyuki Yuiga from We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, and Ryu Yamada from Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. His other roles include Zen Wistalia in Snow White with the Red Hair, Keiji Akaashi in Haikyu!!, Yuki Sanada in Tsuritama, Nagate in Knights of Sidonia, Ikki Kurogane in Chivalry of a Failed Knight, and Sadao Mao in The Devil is a Part-Timer!.
Chongyun (Soma Saito)
Chongyun is voiced by Soma Saito, perhaps best known as Yamaguchi from Haikyu!!. However, his breakout performance was as young Twelve in Terror in Resonance. Other notable roles include Tatsumi from Akame ga Kill, Adlet Mayer from Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers, Doppio from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and William James Moriarty from the currently-airing Moriarty the Patriot.
Diluc (Kensho Ono)
Diluc is widely considered to be the best character in the game from a gameplay perspective. He is voiced by Kensho Ono, whose most famous voice performance is undoubtedly Giorno Giovanna, the protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Ono is also known for his performance as the titular Kuroko from Kuroko's Basketball. Other roles include Canute from Vinland Saga, Arata from ReLIFE, Mikazuki from My Roommate is a Cat, Slaine Troyard from Aldnoah.Zero, Tanaka from Tanaka-kun is Always Listless, and Akutagawa from Bungo Stray Dogs.
Fischl (Maaya Uchida)
In what has to be the most on-point casting in this game, Maaya Uchida — best known as the voice of delusional eyepatch-wearing chunibyo (middle-schooler) Rikka from Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions — voices a delusional eyepatch-wearing chunibyo in Fischl. Well done, miHoYo, well done. She also voices Hiyori from Noragami, Norman from The Promised Neverland, Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess, Yoshioka from Blue Spring Ride, and Rui from Domestic Girlfriend.
Jean (Chiwa Saito)
Chiwa Saito (the voice of Jean) went on to become one of my favorite voice actors after I heard her as Hitagi in Bakemonogatari, Yona in Yona of the Dawn, and Homura in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Some of her other performances include Aika in Aria the Animation, Chloe von Einzbern in Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei, and Schierke in 2016's Berserk.
Keqing (Eri Kitamura)
The energetic and hardworking Keqing is played by Eri Kitamura, known for voicing such energetic characters as Mina Ashido in My Hero Academia, Yui in Angel Beats, and Sayaka in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. She also voices Ami in Toradora!, "Chief" Yachiyo in Wagnaria!!, and Bea in Pokemon: Twilight Wings.
Klee (Misaki Kuno)
Klee has quickly become a fan favorite, partly due to her short stature and childlike demeanor. She is quite appropriately voiced by Misaki Kuno, known for voicing "childlike" characters such as Hawk from The Seven Deadly Sins, Momo Kawamoto from March Comes in Like a Lion, Shio from Happy Sugar Life, Serara from Log Horizon, Niko from Kiznaiver, and Akane from Durarara!! x2.
Mona (Konomi Kohara)
Is it a coincidence that this game has both Aoi Koga AND Konomi Kohara (who voice Kaguya and Chika in Kaguya-sama: Love is War)? I think not. Kohara's other notable roles include Akane from Tsukigakirei, Kasumi from Asobi Asobase - workshop of fun -, Mina Hibino from Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san, Shamiko from The Demon Girl Next Door, and Tsukasa's sister Chitose from TONIKAWA.
Ningguang (Sayaka Ohara)
Sayaka Ohara is known for her deep, "mature" voice — an apt fit for Ningguang. While Ohara's best-known voice role is probably as Erza Scarlet in the Fairy Tail series, she has also delivered iconic performances as Beatrice from the Umineko When They Cry visual novels and Yuuko in xxxHolic. Other well-known roles include Irisviel from Fate/Zero, Alice from Aria the Animation, Milly Ashford from Code Geass, and Mrs. Yuigahama (Gaha-mama) in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.
Noelle (Kanon Takao)
Kanon Takao has not done a whole lot of voice roles but there are still some recognizable titles on their resume, such as Hina Tsurugi from the recently-aired Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater, Latina from If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord, Aku from Demon Lord, Retry!, and Linnea from The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar.
Qiqi (Yukari Tamura)
Qiqi is voiced by Yukari Tamura, who shot to fame as the voice of protagonist Nanoha Takamachi from the influential magical girl franchise Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Her other significant voice roles are as Togame in Katanagatari, Tenten in Naruto, Rika Furude in When They Cry, Io Euclase in GRANBLUE FANTASY: The Animation, Mai Kawasumi in Kanon, Yamada in B Gata H Kei, and Jibril in No Game No Life.
Razor (Kouki Uchiyama)
Kouki Uchiyama is known for his soft-spoken roles, especially villainous ones like Meruem from Hunter x Hunter, Shigaraki from My Hero Academia, and Rui from Demon Slayer. Even his non-villainous roles have that serious, soft-spoken nature to them — Tsukishima from Haikyu!!, Smile from Ping Pong the Animation, Natsuno from Shiki, Yu Otosaka from Charlotte, and Toi from Sarazanmai. He is a perfect fit for Razor, a menacing wolf-boy of few words.
Sucrose (Akane Fujita)
Akane Fujita (the voice actor for curious bio-alchemist Sucrose) had her breakout year in 2017 when she played Sagiri Izumi in Eromanga Sensei and Sistine Fibel in Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor.
Venti (Ayumu Murase)
Venti's naive and mischievous personality makes him the perfect fit for Ayumu Murase, best known as the voice of the cheerful and simpleminded Shoyo Hinata of Haikyu!! fame. What interests me most, however, is the fact that Murase also voiced protagonist Kazuki from Sarazanmai — between Venti, Razor, and the male Traveler, it looks like we have the entire Sarazanmai main trio assembled! Murase has also voiced Shun in From the New World, Iruma in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, and Ryo Asuka in Devilman Crybaby.
Xiangling (Ari Ozawa)
I was very excited to hear that Xiangling would be voiced by Ari Ozawa, whose performance as Chiyo Sakura in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun (her first major role) is one of the finest I have ever seen. Ozawa has also voiced Hina Hikawa in BanG Dream! S2, Kirin Todo in The Asterisk War, Mao in Hinamatsuri, Papi in Monster Musume: Everyday Life With Monster Girls, Benitoite in Land of the Lustrous, Lynn May in Plunderer, and Conny in The Promised Neverland.
Xingqiu (Junko Minagawa)
It is quite common in the voice acting industry for male characters, especially younger ones, to be voiced by female VAs. Such is the case with refined bookworm Xingqiu. This is not the first time Junko Minagawa has voiced a male character — her first role came as Ryoma Echizen from the long-running The Prince of Tennis. Her other roles include Oz Vessalius in PandoraHearts, Cornelia in Code Geass, Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon Crystal, and Jeanne d'Arc in Drifters.
As more characters are added to the game, we can expect more talented voice work from the people behind the scenes. Further updates have teased us with the possibility of such giants as Saori Hayami and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka joining the cast. Can't wait!

portrait of a lady
Genshin Impact | Lumine/Albedo | AO3 Summary: Three times Albedo draws Lumine, and the two times he doesn't. Notes: mr. albaedo...
.
.
.
Dragonspine is only the beginning.
Albedo is well-informed about her by now, one would think, after running so many tests and observing her first-hand. But those were all in controlled scenarios of his own making, and so, he discovers, that outside of that, there is far more to Lumine, stranded Traveler of worlds.
Somewhat surprisingly, there are quite a few chances to see her out and about around Mondstadt. Albedo is, besides Chief Alchemist, also Captain of the Knights of Favonius’ Investigation Team—which means he too does his fair share of fieldwork, granting him opportunity to cross paths with her at unexpected moments.
But even so—the Traveler has her goals and he has his, and since Dragonspine, he spots her only in passing.
As such, in order to perform a separate study when he only sees her in such scattered moments, Albedo does the other thing that he does best besides alchemy and childcare—
He draws.
.
It is one thing to see her combat in a controlled situation, and another to see her fighting out in the wild. Even from the distance that he spots her, she is quite the sight. Lumine is strong; this he knows. But her movements are different when she’s in a trickier situation and does not have to account for the safety of another person. She is as vicious as she is elegant—relentless in her swordsmanship, flawless in her footwork.
It could be a dance, almost—and so too can he see that it is not one meant to be performed alone. The one who stands beside her can only be just as formidable—and of course it must be her missing brother, whom Albedo feels like he can picture despite never having met him. Still, she does what she must to make up for that lack of partner, and with one final array of slashes nearly too quick for the eye, the Ruin Guard falls. Lumine pockets the core of the monster before flipping her sword into the air, and it disappears to wherever it does.
She’s on her way again before Albedo thinks to call out to her, unwilling as he is to interrupt whatever mission she’s on without a particular reason.
Instead, he flips open his sketchbook. He has a very good memory, but he uses quick, broad strokes anyway to capture the basis of what he saw before a certain amount of detail is inevitably lost to the limits of brain capacity. He is in the middle of a field investigation with the command of other knights, so it won’t do to take too much time for something so completely unrelated.
That night though, he sits at his desk and refines the sketch. The sharp angles of her arm as she cuts through the Ruin Guard’s tough body, the fluidity of movement from one slash into the next, the flow of her hair as she whips her body around to dodge…
It is not perfect, but it is passable. There is only so much he can derive from such a short moment, without additional time with the model.
Still, it will do, until next time.
.
Miraculously, for all the dangerous maneuvers she tends to do, the Traveler’s flight license has yet to be revoked. She always falls just short of penalty, in a way that makes the Acting Grand Master’s lips pinch together and the Cavalry Captain grin in delight when they see her. Jean can only sigh and request for Lumine to simply be careful, to which the Traveler dips her head obediently and solemnly swears that she is, and would not let her flying jeopardize herself or the citizens’ safety.
There is something about the way she says that, so serious and matter of fact, that goes beyond simple confidence in one’s flight skills, and has the Knights questioning.
But they do not ask, nor can they really figure just what it is exactly they want to question.
Albedo, of course, observes. She is so natural in the sky, the glider seeming like an extension of her body. She flew exceedingly well even after she’d been first gifted the glider, according to Amber, even when Stormterror’s winds had whipped her so suddenly into the air. Lumine has Barbatos’ blessing, it is true, even if not quite in the form of a Vision, but her skill does not feel owed to that. Jean, gifted with her Anemo Vision as she is, is not so remarkable in the skies; even Amber, three-time winner of Mondstadt’s Gliding Championship, does not quite have the particular easy grace that Lumine does.
It is….baffling, this ever so slight yet just discernable difference that cannot quite be explained.
Albedo sees her sometimes out in the field, a large shadow overhead as she glides. On somewhat rare occasions she will accompany him while he experiments in the wild, and he watches with mild trepidation as she steps off the sides of cliffs so casually, unfurling her wings like an afterthought to retrieve an herb or some such thing down below.
Other times, she drops from such great heights that he can only marvel at the lack of fear.
He is painting below Starsnatch Cliff the first time this happens, suddenly hearing a soft call of Albedo! in the distance. It takes a minute to locate where it is coming from, and he squints to see the tiny figure of the Traveler atop Starsnatch’s tip, waving her arm. He waves back, but he cannot hear what else she is saying nor understand what she is gesturing at, and tilts his head in confusion. In another minute, she takes a running leap off of the cliff, gliding towards him. He watches as she soars, then takes out his sketchbook to capture her figure in the air. Albedo’s eyes follow her as she glides past him, and—ah, the band of hilichurls making their way towards him must have been what she was trying to warn him about.
But then—she drops suddenly, hurtling down with such speed that it is genuinely alarming, the wind whistling. Her sword manifests in her hand and she uses it to pinpoint her landing; she slams into the ground, the blade sinking into the sand before her knee does, her other leg bent and braced for support. The hilichurls are blown back from the resulting blast of power, and she’s up again in a flash, ready to fight.
Albedo blinks before adjusting his gloves, and joins her in the clean-up.
“Are you not afraid of falling?” he asks, immediately after the battle is over.
She turns to him with a faint smile, putting away her sword.
“Not when I mean to,” she responds. “Are you not afraid of surprise attacks, if you are so focused on your art?”
“I would not be Chief Alchemist or Captain of the Investigation Team if I could not handle such situations,” he replies politely, “Though I thank you for your concern, and assistance.”
She gives him an amused look.
“Are you hurt?” he queries, glancing at her knees, “That was…quite the landing.”
“It is not so bad with sand,” she shrugs, brushing off the grains that have stuck to her skin, “But I have gotten better at mitigating the damage.”
He raises an eyebrow, and her lip quirks up as she awaits his potential scolding. There are a few beats of silence between them before he sighs.
“I trust you know what you’re doing,” he relents, and her eyes grow more mirthful.
“As do you,” she says pointedly, and he holds out his hands in defeat.
They have a quick lunch—she splits her food with him despite his protests—and she’s off again, always busy.
Albedo stays behind until the sun begins to set, filling pages in his sketchbook, the image of her descent burned into his mind.
.
“You want a lesson on alchemy?”
He blinks at her in surprise as he lets her into his laboratory. She steps in carefully, looking around with interest and taking in its disorganization and clutter.
“This is not so different from Dragonspine, is it?” Lumine says, the corners of her eyes crinkling, and he coughs lightly in mild embarrassment. “And yes. Is it so surprising? Timaeus has been a great help, but I do not think it remiss to ask his teacher for guidance as I move on to craft more complicated things.”
“From what I hear, you are shaping up to be quite the alchemist yourself,” Albedo says, crossing his arms and putting a thumb to his chin in thought.
Both Timaeus and Sucrose, who had seen her craft in person before while he has not, had mentioned that she was taking to the process quite well.
“You are exaggerating, surely. Perhaps it may seem that way when all one crafts is the occasional potion. But as I said, I find myself needing to make use of more complicated alchemy if I want to reinforce my weapons.”
Albedo hums, studying her. It is true that such a thing was one of his topics of particular interests for a time, hence her coming to him instead of Sucrose, who was far easier to find.
“Have you ever thought of becoming an alchemist, with this growing interest of yours?” he asks, motioning for her to come closer to his crafting table.
“Ah, Sir Kreideprinz, is two students not enough?” she teases lightly, “I’m afraid I haven’t the proper time to invest currently, as you must know. But I shall promise not to abuse any knowledge you are willing to impart upon me.”
It startles a laugh out of him—one, because it had not occurred to him that she would, and two, because what was considered misuse of the art was not always the same between alchemists.
“All knowledge is worth having,” he murmurs absently, and she glances at him out of the corner of her eye, but he says nothing further on the topic of potential misuse. “Alright, then. Look here…”
She is a good listener, despite the complexities of the process he outlines. They discuss the theory, and he shows her how to combine the pieces she’s brought to higher-level material. She watches with a nearly hawk-like keenness, and asks him to repeat the process a few more times before she attempts it herself.
It is all about trial and error, in the beginning, and so Albedo steps away and takes the back seat as he watches her work out the formulae and arrangement of materials on the table to achieve what she wants. He pays close attention to prevent any dangerous accidents, but also idly puts a pencil to paper while he observes her.
Her focus, the way she drags her fingers lightly over the symbols as she thinks, the purse of her lips as she works out what she needs to…yes, drawing her is never tiring.
Eventually, she succeeds in her crafting, straightening out her back and smiling in quiet pride as she turns to show him the results. Under his further guidance, she uses her newly crafted materials to reinforce her sword, and they both look upon the end result with satisfaction.
“Good work,” he says, as she prepares to leave, “May this serve your well on your journey.”
She glances at the papers he had set aside before coming to assist her again, unable to see what is on them from this distance. Still, there is a knowing gleam in her eye.
“And may that serve you well in your research,” she replies, with a slight raise of her eyebrow.
His lips twitch in amusement, but he does not respond.
.
As much as Albedo loves Klee, she is a boundless ball of energy, and he must admit that he is not always able to keep up with her. It is why there is a rotation of knights to look after her when Albedo is particularly busy and cannot be disturbed—and playing with Klee comes to be considered tantamount to a training regimen. Oftentimes the girl will have left a string of exhausted knights—especially recruits—in her wake when he finally comes out of his laboratory.
So it is odd that this time, when he comes out to take down his “Experiment in Progress” sign, that the halls are unusually quiet. The knights seem fairly undisturbed, and he does not even hear any distant telltale explosions to signal her presence.
“The Honorary Knight is watching Klee,” he hears Jean say, and Albedo turns around to see the Acting Grand Master smiling at him as she comes down the hall. “The last I saw them, they were in the courtyard.”
“I see,” Albedo says, inclining his head in thanks, and goes searching.
Jean had spoken truly; the two are still in the courtyard, sitting on the grass, and apparently weaving stalks of dandelions into garlands. Albedo is surprised to see Klee so focused on such an activity, when she usually prefers more active games.
“Hello,” he says, to draw their attention, and Klee perks up immediately, rushing over to hug him around the middle.
“Albedo! Are you all done now? Can we eat dinner early? Can Miss Lumi come? We played all day so I’m really hungry!”
Albedo pats her head and murmurs acknowledgement of her requests, his eyes crinkling as he looks over at Lumine.
“Jean had mentioned you were watching her,” he says, “Thank you. I hope you were able to convince her to leave the fish population at Starfell Lake intact.”
To his incredible surprise, Lumine’s cheeks turn faintly pink, and Klee begins to jump up and down, still holding onto him.
“Albedo, did you know? Miss Lumi is really good at fishing! She can catch them with just her bare hands! We brought lots back, so can you make Woodland Dream tonight, pleeeeeeeease?”
He blinks at Klee, then looks back at the Traveler, who avoids his gaze and steadily continues to weave dandelions together with careful precision.
“With her bare hands, you say?” he asks, and his sister uh-huhs enthusiastically.
“Oh! But I want to finish making these first! Albedo, do you want to make one too? Miss Lumi says that in some other worlds, flower crowns are a sign of appreciation!”
“Alright then,” he says, though Klee is already dragging him towards the spot she had temporarily abandoned.
He is quiet for a while, letting Klee and Lumine show him how to bend the stalks carefully and weave them tightly without breaking. But as he falls into the proper pattern, he is too curious to stay silent.
“…Where did you learn to catch fish with your bare hands?” he asks innocently, without looking up.
“…The fish population is intact enough that, given a little time, Starfell Lake will be full again,” Lumine says first instead, sensing the question he is not asking. “But—nowhere in particular. It is simply a matter of practice. It was a silly thing that Aether and I had challenged each other to do one day, and then contested one another for the most caught.”
Her tone grows a little quieter at the mention of her brother, her eyes more melancholy. Albedo glances at her, but before he can say anything, it is Klee who broaches the subject.
“What’s Mr. Aether like?” she asks cheerfully, and Lumine startles at the question. “You’re twins, right? Do you look exactly the same?”
Lumine blinks, her eyes growing thoughtful.
“No,” she says absently. “But we do look…very similar. His eyes are a little sharper, and his nose is a little more pointed. His hair is sort of like mine, but he could never the front to lie flat. Back when both of our hair was long…I braided his, but he liked it so much that he kept it. He cut mine for me, when I wanted a change.”
Albedo looks at her, noting what she says, trying to imagine her other half.
“Go on,” he encourages, and her eyes widen a little as she pauses, thinking about stories to share.
Haltingly, she tells them a little more about her brother. How he favored the hotter months over the cooler ones, how he liked acrobatics when they flew, how he preferred darker clothing over lighter ones. As she speaks, Albedo forms a clearer picture of Aether in his mind.
In the course of this, Klee ends up dozing against Albedo’s side, though she tries hard to stay awake.
“Ah, I tired her out,” Lumine says, her eyes crinkling.
“Quite the feat,” Albedo murmurs, patting Klee’s arm. “Ah, Klee. What about dinner?”
“Woodland….Dream…” she murmurs, and Lumine chuckles.
“It was all she could talk about, at the lake,” she says, reaching out to stroke the little girl’s hair tenderly. “I have high expectations.”
“It’s my specialty,” Albedo says easily, “So it should not disappoint. Ah—here, this is for you.”
He gives her the garland he had woven, as well as the finished one of the two Klee had been making, as Lumine was undoubtedly meant to be one of the recipients. Lumine blinks, taking the crowns gingerly.
“Appreciation, right?” Albedo says, and Lumine nods.
She puts both on her head, and then places the one she made carefully on Albedo’s.
“My gratitude, for dinner,” she tells him, and he smiles.
“Well, you will have to come home with us first,” he says as he picks Klee up, and she blinks a little in mild surprise before smiling back.
Albedo leads the way, and it is not long before Lumine falls into step beside him.
.
He is finishing up some sketches in the library when she climbs through the open window, startling him out of focus.
“Hello,” she greets amicably, sliding into the chair across from him.
“Hello,” he greets back, “That was quite the entrance.”
“It’s faster this way, sometimes,” she says, and he blinks at her, unable to formulate a response to say otherwise. “How many hours have you been here?”
He blinks again, working out the time via the position of the sun, peering out of the window.
“Four hours, perhaps?” he guesses, and Lumine hums, looking at the papers laid out in front of him, which are all various portraits of her.
“Will you finally tell me what this is about?” she asks, propping her elbows up and putting her chin in her hands.
He smiles.
“Nothing so mysterious,” he says, gathering some of the drawings closer to glance at for reference, “I have said before you make a fascinating study, have I not? But I suppose I did want to try something.”
She raises an eyebrow in question, but Albedo signals for her to wait a moment as he makes some minor adjustments to the piece he is working on at present, which is tilted towards him against the edge of the table and thus out of her sight.
“Alright, then,” he says after a while, “Here—all of these are for you.”
He places this last finished piece on top of the small stack resting on the seat of the chair next to him, then hands the whole thing over, and she takes the little pile with open curiosity.
Her expression changes to shock when she looks down at the first drawing.
“…Aether,” she whispers wonderingly, her hand hovering over the portrait as if she is afraid this too will disappear in front of her.
“You paint quite a vibrant picture when you speak of him,” Albedo explains, “So I thought I would try my hand at actually putting him to picture. I am sure there are inaccuracies, but…tell me, how did I do?”
She is silent as she goes through the others—some quick sketches, some more detailed renderings, some smudged with color, and even a couple of full paintings. Her eyes grow wet as she looks through each page, pausing here and there to trace the lines with her fingers, or to relax her grip so she does not crinkle the paper overmuch.
“Near perfect,” she finally says, very quietly, as she looks at him. “Albedo, this is….remarkable. I feared…forgetting small things about him, with the time that had passed. Thank you.”
He is not sure what to say now that she is teary, so he coughs a little and pushes the sketches of herself towards her, as well.
“You are very welcome. I confess I may have given him some of your mannerisms, for lack of other reference. But when you fight, there is a space for him, and I can guess how he might compliment your movements as you must complement his. Of course, as I have never met him, I did take some liberties…”
He trails off when she looks at him again after studying her portraits, her gaze a little more intense.
“You…must have been studying me quite closely, to produce these,” she says, tone deceptively mild.
“Ah—my apologies, I suppose it was presumptuous of me,” he says, worried about losing her regard, “I—sketch people around Mondstadt so often, they have grown used to seeing me do so. But I should have asked your permission.”
“Oh—that is not what I mean,” she reassures him, tilting her head, “I just hadn’t realized you were paying quite so much attention to me. I would have sat for you, if you asked.”
His eyes crinkle at the suggestion; she bore his constant tests with great patience up in Dragonspine where others would not have so readily, and here she is still willing to do additional favors for his whims.
“I appreciate the offer, but it was not such a…staged manner that I was after. I enjoyed seeing you simply going about your activities.”
She hums, gentling putting down the stack of drawings before leaning back in her seat a little.
“And now?” she asks, and he blinks at her, confused at her meaning. “Is this moment also something you are looking to draw?”
He stares at her, taking in her profile in this moment, a curious feeling creeping over him as he observes her. The quiet intensity of her gaze, the faint smile curving her lips, the weight of some sort of expectation in the air…
“I…suppose I could, but as I mentioned, I was hoping for something other than a controlled environment,” he demurs hesitantly.
“Ah, so you believe this a controlled environment?”
He pauses again, taken aback, and as if to purposely disprove his implication, a strong gust of wind rushes through the open window. The papers on the table rustle loudly, startling the both of them, and the two instinctively surge from their seats, lunging across the table in half-panic and slamming their hands down to prevent the sketches from flying away.
“Oh no—have we creased them?”
“No, they are fine, I believe.”
They look up then, realizing how close they have come to each other.
A few heartbeats of silence pass.
“…Do me a favor, if you please,” Lumine says quietly, as they try and sweep the papers back together. There is a balance hanging between them that has not yet broken while they do so. “Keep these portraits of me. If you…come across my brother, please give them to him.”
“I will keep them safe,” Albedo says, narrowly missing grazing her fingers as he lays another sketch onto the pile, “It is no trouble.”
She smiles faintly.
“I should hope not,” she murmurs. “I shall…entrust myself to you.”
She means the drawings, he knows, and yet there is a slight unguarded lilt to her voice, and he does not miss the double meaning.
There is a question here, an offering, if he chooses to accept it.
At this distance, they can see each other’s eyelashes; one slight movement and they could be touching. The delicacy of the moment is suspended as they stare at each other—Albedo’s blue, blue eyes are wide and searching, Lumine’s pink lips slightly parted. The gauzy white curtains are billowed upwards by the wind again, fluttering over them like a veil, hiding them from direct view.
A soft murmur, a gentle brush of cheeks, a warm puff of breath.
…Do you trust me, Albedo?
…Yes.
Their silhouettes slowly drift closer.

Genshin Impact but if the Traveler was Master Chief MegaPost
This is a reupload from the original Genshingorls, many thanks to the og anon who asked for this, and the others who were interested in it!
It's every post I've made for this AU put under one roof, so enjoy!
Instead of otherwordly twins Aether and Lumine, it is John-117, aka the Master Chief, that enters the world of Tevyat.
Armed with nothing but his Mjolnir armor, guns, and trusty companion Paimon, the super soldier of legend sets out to save this world...
Mondstadt
---
(Klee) "Master Jean, we're back!~"
- Klee walked into her office, Paimon and Master Chief tagging along behind her.
(Jean) "Welcome back. Chief, Paimon, you two have my thanks for watching over her. Klee wasn't too much trouble was she?"
(Paimon) "No, she was like an angel!"
(Klee) "Mister Chief is so cool! There was some bad guys while we were out, and he took them out with a HUUUGE explosion! He let me help too!"
- Jean's face suddenly grew pale.
(Jean) "...Chief, you what?"
(Paimon) "U-Um...we can explain!"
(Master Chief) "Don't worry. It wasn't Klee's. We just decided we should give the Hilichurls their bomb back."
(Paimon) "...That doesn't help with anything, John!"
---
(Amber) "Alright, it's time to test out the glider! Here you go, Chief!"
(Paimon) "Is that gonna work with his armor?"
(Master Chief) "Time to find out."
- Master Chief grabbed the glider and walked towards the edge of the cliff.
(Paimon) "H-Hang on a second! I've seen you land on people during battle, you weigh like a ton of bricks!"
- Ignoring Paimon, he jumped off and the gravity of Tevyat hurled him towards the ground.
(Paimon) "OHMYGOSH! I CAN'T LOOK!"
- At the last second, Master Chief activated the glider, while giving him some air time, was going down rapidly, albeit at a safer speed.
- Landing somewhat gently, he retracted his glider and looked back up the cliff.
(Amber) "Wow, for a brick he flies pretty good!"
---
Liyue
---
(Millelith Guard) "You, stop right there!"
(Paimon) "Yikes, they spotted us! We need to hide!"
(Master Chief) "No time."
- Master Chief jumped down the stairs and landed on the stone path below, creating a mini-crater and crushing the concrete beneath him.
- With almost no time passing from his landing, he broke out into a full tilt sprint.
- Paimon could barely keep up with him while the Millelith was already losing sight of him.
- Master Chief crashed through several walls, his armor not even being scratched with the wood and stone flying everywhere.
(Paimon) "CHIEF, WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE HIDING, NOT DRAWING MORE ATTENTION TO OURSELVES, COULD WE POSSIBLY MAKE ANY MORE NOISE?!"
- Chief's route was cut off when more of the Millelith got in front of him with spears drawn out.
(Master Chief) "We can."
- Finally stopping he pulled out a rocket launcher, aiming it right above them.
(Paimon) "OH COME ON!"
---
(Zhongli) "Welcome to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor."
(Hu Tao) "Oh, new guests?"
- Her attention was immediately grabbed by Master Chief.
(Hu Tao) "Hey there! Are you in need of my services? I'd determine that by how healthy you look, but that helmet's kinda blocking my way."
(Paimon) "Wha?- No no! Nothing like that! We're just getting the grand tour is all."
(Master Chief) "Depends on when Paimon decides to pick a fight over food again, I'll be needing it."
(Paimon) "HEY! You are not in any danger of getting hurt in that big armor of yours, jerk!"
(Master Chief) "I didn't say it was for me."
(Hu Tao) "Hm...Yeah, I can get a coffin her size whenever needed!"
(Master Chief) "Works for me."
(Paimon) "Ugh, Paimon can't even tell if you're joking or not with that deadpan voice of yours!"
(Hu Tao) "Blank face, deader than dead sense of humor? Reminds me of a certain someone I know!"
(Zhongli) "...Who would that be?"
---
Inazuma
---
(Paimon) "There's one food we know that'd be perfect! Pizza!"
(Ayaka) "Oh, what's Pizza?"
- Paimon explained to Ayaka that Pizza was a food that one would make for several people to eat together while Master Chief remained silent.
(Ayaka) "Oh, that sounds wonderful! Could I entrust you two to make it?"
(Master Chief) "Yes ma'am."
- He turned to Paimon.
(Master Chief) "I need a stove."
(Paimon) "Hah, right this way!"
- Ayaka bowed.
(Ayaka) "Thank you so much, Master Chief!"
- Ayaka went back to her seat as Paimon floated towards a kitchen.
(Paimon) "Weird, Paimon doesn't recall you ever cooking. Did you learn how to during our travels?"
- Master Chief looked at the stove and clenched his fist.
(Master Chief) "No."
- He smashed his armored fist into the stove, making it explode into pieces of stone.
(Master Chief) "New plan, we go to Cat's Tail and get them to make a pizza."
(Paimon) "...Did you really have to do that though?"
=========
- Paimon looked at the description Qiqi had given them for finding this "cocogoat".
(Paimon) "Hm...Paimon can't make anything out on this."
- Master Chief's head slightly turned to read. From what he could tell it just said 'yummy'.
(Paimon) "Got any idea, John?"
- Master Chief looked across the valleys of Liyue and scanned for anything that could produce milk.
- All he could see was just rocks.
(Master Chief) "The only thing I can think of is coconut-"
- Master Chief suddenly cut himself off as soon as he realized what Qiqi meant.
(Master Chief) "We're going to the beach."
(Paimon) "Eh? But we're looking for a goa-OOOOOH. That's what she meant!"
- Paimon floated behind Master Chief as he looked for the closest body of water.
(Paimon) "Oooh, ooh! Paimon sees a tree on the beach! But it's surrounded by...-"
- There was a palm tree that was surrounded by a Ruin Hunter, patrolling the area.
(Paimon) "OOH HECK NO! PAIMON DOESN'T WANT ANY PART OF THAT!"
- Before she could float back, Master Chief stopped her with his hand.
(Master Chief) "You injured?"
(Paimon) "N-No...?"
(Master Chief) "Then we have our mission. Get the 'cocomilk'."
- Master Chief unsheathed his assault rifle as he calmly walked towards the beach, Paimon angrily shouting after him.
(Paimon) "AND JUST HOW DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO GET THAT COCONUT WITHOUT BLOWING UP?!"
(Master Chief) "Thought I'd try shooting my out. Mix things up a little."
(Paimon) "Ugh, fine! When you get killed, don't forget Paimon told you so!"
Few hours later...
- Master Chief and Paimon walked back to Bubu Pharmacy, significantly crispier than they left.
- His armor was scratched and parts of it was burnt black, but he seemed to sustain barely any injuries.
- Paimon's hair was frizzed out as she slowly floated behind him, visibly grumpy.
(Qiqi) "...Oh. Hello, Master Chief. Paimon. Do you have the cocomilk?"
(Master Chief) "Yes ma'am."
(Paimon) "You better be happy, we almost died getting it!"
(Qiqi) "Oh. That sounds bad."
(Master Chief) "Don't worry about that. It wasn't anything hard."
(Paimon) "SAYS THE MANIAC IN 30 TONS OF STEEL!"
- Master Chief knelt down as Qiqi went past the counter and grabbed it. Nodding in affirmation, she looked back to him.
(Qiqi) "Thank you so much. I am very happy."
(Master Chief) "Anytime. Call us, when you need us."
(Paimon) "Jeez, you both sound so deadpan that Paimon can't even tell if you're happy or not!"
(Master Chief) "How about we get something to eat then."
(Paimon) "You mean just Paimon? Paimon has never seen you eat at all! What do you even stuff under that dumb helmet anyway?!"
(Master Chief) "Bolts. Gears. Microchips."
(Paimon) "..."
(Master Chief) "..."
- ...
- He turned his head to Paimon, saying nothing in addition.
(Paimon) "Paimon really hates your sense of humor, you know that?"
(Master Chief) "Yup."
=========
- Master Chief and Paimon slowly strolled through the roads to Mondstadt, enjoying the blue skies above them.
- Paimon was busy explaining the different weapons the people of Tevyat used.
(Paimon) "-...not to mention there's people like Lisa! We call them 'Catalyst' users!"
(Master Chief) "Not magic users?"
(Paimon) "I mean, in her case magic is definitely involved, but then we also include people like Amber, who uses a bow! It's probably cause their weapons are powered from their visions!"
(Master Chief) "And those with physical weapons?"
(Paimon) "Hm, well those are kind of obvious-"
"YAH!"
- Master Chief suddenly swung around, rifle ready as Paimon quickly got behind him.
- A group of Hilichurls were advancing on his position, one of them larger than the others.
- He was about to pull the trigger when he realized that there was an Abyss Mage behind them.
(Master Chief) "That one mind controlling them?"
(Paimon) "Yeah, but he's protected by like a buncha them! How are you going to kill only him?"
- Master Chief reached for his back and pulled out a small blue orb.
(Master Chief) "Bet ya I can stick it."
(Paimon) "Psh, now you're just showing off!"
- He activated the plasma grenade and chucked it overhead, making it bounce off the Abyss Mage's shield.
- It laughed as it waved tauntingly at Master Chief, thinking it was a rock.
(Paimon) "Well, ya didn't."
(Master Chief) "Wasn't talking about that sticking."
- Until the plasma grenade glowed brighter and brigher, violently exploding and sending it flying back.
- Master Chief sprinted towards the group as he sheathed his rifle, his armor shoving aside anyone stupid enough to remain in place.
- As Hilichurls were thrown back by the force of his charge, he lowered his knees into the floor before springing them up, leaping into the air at least 10 feet.
- Landing right behind the Abyss Mage, he swung his fist and grabbed its collar, his other fist clenching and adrenaline surging into his right arm.
- Before his fist could connect, his armor's shield tanked a massive blow to his side that sent him flying and into the trees.
- Quickly readjusting his sight that had become disoriented for the moment, he saw a larger hilichurl, much larger than the others, with an axe almost the size of the user.
- He got up and readied himself, seeing the Mitachurl charge full speed at him.
- Quickly dodging to the right as the axe crashed down, he used his elbow to drive into its stomach, making it stagger back.
- Master Chief leapt off the ground and used both feet on the stomach again, dropkicking the Mitachurl.
- It let go of the axe as it tumbled backwards and almost crushed the Abyss Mage, making it dizzy.
- Seizing the moment, Master Chief grabbed the Mitachurl's axe and threw it with all his might at the Abyss Mage.
- It broke the shield as it came into contact, making the Abyss Mage fall onto the ground.
- Before it landed, Master Chief ran up to it, caught the hilt, and used the momentum and gravity to do the work.
- The axe came smashing down on top of the Abyss Mage, splitting it in half.
- It quickly burst into ash, making the rest of the Hilichurls disoriented and confused about their surroundings.
- The Mitachurl stood up, hand on its mask before it realized Master Chief was staring at them.
(Master Chief) "...Boo."
- They all ran away at his terrifying words, running back into the woods.
- Master Chief stopped one Hilichurl as he bumped into him when it tried to run away, but neither of them did anything.
- The Hilichurl stood confused for a moment before Master Chief pulled out a small crumpled up piece of paper, given to him by Ella Musk.
- Master Chief then pointed to the Hilichurl.
(Master Chief) "Celi dada."
(Hilichurl) "...Mimi nunu?"
(Paimon) "John, what are you doing?"
(Master Chief) "Making new friends. Muhe ye?"
- The Hilichurl looked around and noticed the Abyss Mage mask.
- Master Chief pointed at the mask and shook his head.
- The Hilichurl looked back to him and nodded. He probably understood what Master Chief was trying to convey.
(Master Chief) "Muhe ye."
- The Hilichurl nodded, and ran away to his group, albeit less panicked than before.
- Master Chief turned back to the axe and examined it.
(Paimon) "I guess you got a new weapon?"
(Master Chief) "No gravity hammer but..."
(Paimon) "What, you don't like it?"
- Swinging it around, he put it on his shoulder and nodded to himself.
(Master Chief) "Oh, I like it. By the way, stuck the axe landing."
(Paimon) "Oh whatever, let's just go home."
...
- Noelle was carrying a few crates full of equipment out of Mondstadt.
- It wasn't terribly heavy but she would admit it made her struggle a little.
- Then she saw Master Chief walking back to the city with a Mitachurl axe, holding it one handed.
- Her jaw almost hit the floor.
(Noelle) "M-MASTER CHIEF!"
- Master Chief turned to her and nodded.
(Master Chief) "Ma'am."
(Noelle) "PLEASE TEACH ME HOW TO DO THAT!"
(Paimon) "Oh boy..."
=========
Noelle eagerly awaited Master Chief's instructions.
Barbara on the other hand was less than thrilled.
Master Chief and Paimon had taken the both of them inside his Teapot for heavy equipment training.
Paimon was VERY much against this idea and begged Barbara to tag along in case something horrible happened.
So the two of them sat on a bench he had made with Tubby's assistance, and put themselves in a concrete arena.
(Noelle) "Sir, I'm ready when you are!"
(Paimon) "Oh, Paimon's got a baaaad feeling about this!"
(Barbara) "I-I think I agree..."
Master Chief nodded and waved to Tubby to bring the dummies in.
Behind Master Chief spawned a number of dummies that resembled Treasure Hoarders.
Master Chief grabbed a massive two-handed weapon, gesturing for Noelle to come over.
(Master Chief) "This is what we call a 'Gravity Hammer'. In short, you hit something with it, and it'll go flying with a big boom."
(Noelle) "Wow, it looks heavy!"
He nodded silently.
(Master Chief) "First, we'll see if you can pick it up."
The way he was holding it seemed like it was just like any other weapon. Noelle was curious herself to how much it was until he let go.
Her eyes went wide as she felt her body immediately fall from the weight, caught completely by surprise.
(Noelle) "A-AH!"
Master Chief, with one arm, stopped her from falling. The Gravity Hammer hit the floor with a slight rumbling of the ground, creating a dent into the ground.
(Paimon) "HEY JOHN YOU BIG JERK, WHY DIDN'T YOU WARN HER!?"
(Noelle) "Not to worry, Paimon! I was just taken off guard, now- YAH!"
With sudden momentum, she was able to get it off the ground and wielded it with both hands almost effortlessly.
(Barbara) "Huh?! I-I knew Noelle was always strong but...!-"
Master Chief stood far to the side and calmly told Noelle her orders.
(Master Chief) "I want you to destroy those 4 dummies in one single blow, under two seconds."
(Paimon) "But that's a huge hammer! It'll take her several second to swing it!"
(Noelle) "...Big boom, huh?"
(Paimon) "Training her means we have to take it SLOW first! That's impossible!"
Master Chief silently stared at Paimon, then nodded back to Noelle.
(Noelle) "Here goes, HEEEYAH!"
KA-THUUUUUM!
As soon as she struck the dummy in front of her, a deafening thunder blasted from the hammer as it obliterated the dummies, the ground, and even the concrete and shot her backwards, letting go of the hamemr.
Barbara and Paimon were blown back from the shockwave while Master Chief remained still.
At what seemed like superhuman speeds, he first made sure Barbara didn't hit the floor, and with a single leap, sprung into the air and caught Noelle before she could hit the ground.
Meanwhile Paimon flew into a bale of hay.
Gently setting her down, Noelle was shaking off the ringing in her ears.
(Noelle) "WHERE...WHERE AM I?! DID I DO IT?!"
Standing her up, Noelle looked to the dummies.
Not a single one stood.
(Master Chief) "According to my timer, 1.7 seconds."
(Noelle) "...YES, I DID IT!"
She jumped into the air excitedly before almost falling over, still dizzy from the shockwave.
Catching her again, he looked at Barbara.
(Master Chief) "You alright ma'am?"
(Barbara) "Fine, thanks to you."
Paimon's head shot up from the hay, spitting out some that had gotten in her mouth.
(Paimon) "YOU GIANT GREEN...! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE PAIMON?!"
(Master Chief) "Thought I'd try something new since I'm always saving you, mix things up a little."
(Noelle) Snrk!
Barbara sighed as Paimon rushed over to his chest and began punching it, a decision Paimon immediately regretted.
