SO I’m slowly getting back to the Naruto/Boruto fandom after some years and wanted to complete this snippet I’ve had sitting around for a while ^*^ I hope you guys enjoy and feedback are always appreciated!
Izumi and Satoru are my OCs from Kirigakure/The Mist
“You don’t know what you’re doing, woman,” Suigetsu muttered under his breath, although he was barely standing up on his feet. “You can’t just allow a fugitive to escape-”
“You are not a fugitive.” Although she too was on the last reserves of her chakra, especially after the… bloodshed they had just escaped, Izumi was still able to support the Hozuki while dragging Kubikiribocho behind her. The white haired man was aware that she was shaking slightly… and not just from fatigue.
“It wasn’t your fault.” he mumbled in what he hoped was a non-judgmental tone.
“I suppose we can tell that to Hebiichigo.” As much as the redhead tried to keep her voice nonchalant, there was the tremor in it. “Oh wait… we can’t.” And now it was laced with bitterness and discontempt.
“There wasn’t anything you could do about it.”
“Suigetsu just - please… don’t try to make this better for me.”
The man was successful in suppressing a sigh. Whatever he said now, it wouldn’t matter… words couldn’t ease the guilt she felt. Not while the pain was still so raw. Not with the only person she had was him, who was never good with words… what she needed was distraction.
“Any ideas how we’re going to get out of Kiri then?”
“I have an acquaintance in the docks. He will get us out of here if it’s the last thing he does.”
“Not if I have a say about it.”
Suigetsu did not recognize the new voice that joined them, but it was clear the redhead kunoichi did as she froze on the spot, bringing him to an agonizing halt as well. With a grunt, the white haired man fell to the ground.
It was a sign of the agitation Izumi was feeling as she didn’t even acknowledge this unceremonious act with an apology as she whipped back, brandishing the legendary sword sloppily in her hands. “Satoru…”
“Izumi.” The dark haired man simply stated as he walked forward, his gaze as well as his sword hand steady. There was a cold, unyielding look in his eyes. “Surely… you aren’t trying to run away with this criminal?”
“He is no criminal.” Despite how exhausted she felt, Izumi still managed to deliver her words in an unwavering tone. “He was invited here by the Mizukage’s orders. He helped us in this war as much as any of our ninjas. What crime do you even blame him with?”
“So you claim he’s totally innocent eh? That he’s some sort of… war hero…” Satoru jerked his head to behind them, towards the docks. “Why is he running away, then, with one of our swords nonetheless?”
Izumi gaped at him, lost of words for a moment. “You… didn’t you hear what happened in town?” Her voice broke in the end. “Don’t you know…?”
“I heard a thing or two,” the man’s voice, on the other hand, was almost careless. “That’s why he’s hightailing it?”
“I’m letting him escape. I will notify Lord Mizukage and Mei about my decision. And I will definitely bring Kubikiribocho back. This is my word. This is on my head.” The redhead stood a little stronger, squaring her shoulders. “I will not let him face the same carnage Hebiichigo and her friends did.”
“Izumi, Izumi…” Satoru shook his head, and Izumi wondered, with an uneasy pang of disgust in her heart, if what she saw was the hint of a smile on his face. “You don’t really expect people who’d been hurt by them to stand idly aside and let them be, do you? Of course there was going to be some sort of retaliation.”
“Retaliation?” Izumi almost shouted in angry disbelief. “A young, innocent girl was murdered in cold blood you mongrel!”
“She wasn’t so innocent when she joined that Shizuma bastard in rebellion years ago. One has to take responsibility for what they-”
Satoru didn’t get to finish his sentence. With a cry of pure rage, Izumi had lunged at him, the legendary sword held high. The man just had the time to rise his own. The two blades clashed, but it was apparent that Kubikiribocho had the upper hand.
“You were behind this too, weren’t you?” Izumi hissed in his face. “You were a perpetrator in that goddamn attack!”
“So what if I was?” Satoru leered, unfazed. “Excuse me if I’m not going to cry over a bunch of scum.”
“You monster!” Izumi cried as she made a big slash with the sword, and Satoru had to jump back with a grunt as it passed by mere inches from his face. “They fought for Kiri, they were here to help!”
“Doesn’t erase their sins from the past, though, does it?”
It was like a red mist had clouded her vision. She wasn’t aware that she had moved, but the next moment, she engaged Satoru.
Izumi didn’t need words to convey her feelings after that point. Instead she let Kubikiribocho talk, and felt like she was empowered by every parry, every thrust. It was like the sword understood her insatiable wrath, even felt the very same way. She felt like it was singing, singing her fury to the darkening sky.
Was it how wielding a legendary sword felt like, she wondered. She… was enjoying it.
On and on they went, and she lost track of time completely. It could’ve been ten minutes or hours… She could hear Satoru’s breath hitching and it was like her chakra reserve was full from the beginning, she didn’t feel even a single drop of sweat on herself.
Your rightful anger is giving you all the strength you need, a voice mused in her head.
Satoru’s sword flew away from his hands. He winced as he landed hard on his back and couldn’t get up. When he looked up at her, the kunoichi saw his eyes widening and a look of panic… no, almost fear settling into them.
She’d never once beaten him in a sword fight after all.
Having locked eyes with him, Izumi didn’t immediately move for the last strike. She just kept gazing at the man that once held her heart, but now she hated him with all her being. One by one scenes flew before her eyes. Satoru subtly but mercilessly making fun of her, blaming her for Masaki’s awful injuries… Proposing to her like it was nothing, like her feelings and humiliation did not matter, like she did not matter… And now this, rallying ignorant people against those who came to their aid in Kiri’s most troubled moment…
This man was the embodiment of everything she hated and resented. Izumi raised Kubikiribocho even higher.
For all there was to it, she had completely forgotten about Suigetsu, for her no one existed but her and Satoru. That was why she was completely taken aback when she couldn’t move the sword any further, that it was being pulled back.
“That will do.” came the calm voice of the Hozuki from behind her. How was he so calm?
“No.” she said, and her tone was another shock. It was so cold, almost devoid of emotions. “He needs to die. I will end this here and now.”
Before Suigetsu could say anything more, Satoru acted. He dived for his sword, rolled and stood up again. Izumi was more than ready to continue their battle, she was actually yearning for it, but there was a tug in her hands and Kubikiribocho was no longer hers.
She had never seen another warrior wielding a sword like this, maybe only Chojuro. It didn’t even look like Suigetsu was fighting, it was more like a deadly dance. The winner was determined from the very beginning.
In no time at all, maybe even less time than it took for her to defeat him, Suigetsu had the legendary sword against Satoru’s throat. He was such a… natural he seemed, at that moment, just the rightful person to carry a legendary sword, like it was his birthright. She felt a shiver going down her spine. It was a formidable sight.
“You will return to the village.” The white haired man said in a tone that somehow held the authority of a kage. And still, he was so calm. Izumi could not understand it. “You will not pursue us, and I will spare you.”
“You, spare me? Who the hell do you think you are?”
“That’s for you to find out if you’re foolish enough.” Inexplicably, he turned his back to the man on the ground. “Come on, Izumi, let’s go.”
Satoru got to his feet, a look of disgust settling in his eyes as he directed his gaze to the kunoichi himself. “Mark my words, I will never forget this.” He spat towards the back of Suigetsu.
Izumi knew it would take only a spark to ignite the fury inside her, and that was it. Sprinting from her place, she was by the white haired man in a second, her hand reaching for the legendary sword once more.
And then there was a sharp pain to the back of her head, and she saw no more.
She opened her eyes to a strong breeze whipping her face, and the smell of salt water filling her nostrils. Blinking, her companion came into view, sitting just a few feet in front of her.
“Where are we?” Her voice was a little groggy.
“Isn’t it obvious?” came Suigetsu’s answer, not looking at her. She noticed Kubikiribocho on his lap and one of his hands trailing in the sea. At first she thought nothing of it, but slowly, she noticed the many wounds he had received were healing. Just by small degrees, but they were. “We are sailing away from the Mist.”
“I didn’t know water could heal you as well.”
Suigetsu scoffed, but it was without humor. “Shows just how much you Kiri people know.”
She was so, so tired that she didn’t bother to merit this with an appropriate answer. Instead, she found herself just staring at the sword. “You should’ve allowed me to finish what I started.” she mumbled. Oh she so wanted to hold the blade again…
“No.” The man’s answer was curt, delivered with a finality. It made Izumi frown up at him.
“I can wield a legendary sword perfectly well, thank you very much, and I believe I showed how capable I am just now.”
“That’s not it, you idiot.” The Hozuki sighed, passing a hand through his eyes. “You… have no idea about the kind of power these swords have, do you? About their true potential?”
Izumi was surprised, and she didn’t answer for a moment. “I know about as much as any Kirigakure ninja.” she replied honestly.
“So in short, you know next to nothing.” There was the scoff again, which was beginning to get on the woman’s nerves. “Yet you get to claim the swords truly belong to the Mist… The ignorance is laughable.”
“Well, why don’t you spit it out then?” Her tone was a little more aggressive than she imagined, but she couldn’t help it.
“This is not the time. Go back to sleep. There’s still a long way to the Land of Fire.”
It was Izumi’s turn to scoff. “I didn’t sleep. You knocked me out.”
“It was just as well. If Kubikiribocho got a hold of you while you were at your weakest… Well, you can thank me later when you hear the whole story.”
Izumi looked away, though it was hard, and out into the open water, towards the land piece they were leaving behind. “How come you know the whole story then?”
“You ever heard about Hozuki Mangetsu? From the unbeatable legendary warriors, the first group?” There was a pause. “He was my brother.”
“Oh.” The woman didn’t know what else to say. From what she heard, Mangetsu wasn’t alive anymore.
“He had mastered all of the seven swords. And that was what cost him his life. That much power… isn’t meant for one person only.” Another smirk. “It’s not only about learning taijutsu and kenjutsu, you see. There’s a whole lore behind it.”
“I honestly don’t understand what you’re saying…” Trying to decipher the meaning was already giving her a headache. “But I’m more than eager to listen to that lore when we can… and decide whether I’ll thank you for it or not.”
“I suppose I should thank you for getting me out of that hellhole as well,” this time, the man’s smile, albeit a small one, was genuine as he finally looked at her. “But let’s not turn this into a tradition, shall we?”
Izumi smiled herself. “No. Let’s not.” Then she settled as best as she could into the boat for a restless sleep.

Kirigakure Rebellion Au
Just pretty much a list of headcanons for my Kirigakure Rebellion Au where Zabuza was a part of the resistance movement to remove Yagura, along with Mei and Ao. It pretty much also combines Zabuza and Haku live aus and Let's not give Kakashi a reminder of Rin's death for the hundredth time aus
Its also kinda a road map to get me to somehow connect these all together to make a cohesive fic out of
Also features my extra commentary
Works featuring this au
Bitten kisses
Battered Bones against the Waves
Kirigakure
Zabuza was raised in the slums of Kirigakure, where the poorest of the poor gathered. He lived with his mother (because damn we got all kinds of father figures but moms don't even get name dropped. What, did Sakumo get Kakashi express delivered?)
The slums were often scoured for shinobi recruitment during war times or just times of conflict, mainly used to collect fodder. However a young Zabuza saw becoming a ninja as a way to collect money to get his ailing mother medical help and to help claw their way up from the bottom
Sadly, just shortly after he reached his ninth birthday, his mother succumbed to her illness, leaving Zabuza alone. Heartbroken, and with nothing left to lose, he attends the Kirigakure Academy graduation and slaughters all the graduates
Zabuza becomes a well feared shinobi that rose quickly in ranks over the following years, however like many he grew to resent and question the practices and traditions that Yagura allowed to continue and even made worse (especially the Kekkei Genkai clan killings)
Zabuza became the sturdy backbone of the resistance, following Ao as part of the Sensory division for intel, and Mei, who with her abilities and political sway, was selected to be the candidate to replace Yagura when it came time to deal with him (It took Konoha how many days to find a replacement Hokage after the Third? Considering the Genjutsu that Yagura was under was discovered and dispelled right before the chuunin exams and Mei was selected in place quickly enough to decide not to participate their village in the exams, makes me think that she was always lined up, you know? Like it was planned.)
Unfortunately, there was a mole within Zabuza's ranks, which in turn ratted out his plans the night of his attempted coup. He had only chosen a small group to infiltrate and take out Yagura, as Mei and Ao were to only make their moves after Yagura was dead.
Zabuza, of course, flees that very same night. Only pausing to snatch Haku from where Zabuza had left him (who he had taken under his wing months before the attempted coup) before fleeing Kirigakure. It's thanks to Ao and Mei's hidden efforts that he isn't caught, and he takes on the sole blame for the attempted assassination as to not implicate them.
Zabuza then spends his time training Haku, avoiding Hunter-nin, and resorting to any work he can find that pays well so he can feed and shelter the few followers he has left, on top of circulating money or supplies back home (he has a radio that he contacts Ao on only when he comes into a good chunk of money, supplies, or intel. It's only for him to communicate what he's found, and neither Ao or Mei are meant to respond out of caution)
Land of Waves
Everything pretty much plays out the same EXCEPT
Kakashi is able to catch sight (and scent) of Haku right as he jumps between him and Zabuza to act as a shield. Kakashi only barely manages to redirect his Chidori/Raikiri/Lightning blade to not piercing through Haku's heart but rather tear through his shoulder
The wound is still grievous enough to make Haku lose consciousness while clutching at Kakashi's arm. With the amount of blood coating him and Haku falling limp, Zabuza assumes that Haku has died. For him.
Canon events play out from here, with Zabuza attempting to cleave through Haku's body and Kakashi leaping away with him. Kakashi closes Haku's eyes and continues fighting Zabuza (in the heat of battle and the fact that Kakashi only barely managed to raise his aim, he too assumes the boy is dead)
Gato appears, Naruto's speech, Zabuza's tears but then...shortly after Gato kicked Haku's face.....everyone is shocked to hear Haku faintly groan
This shell shocks Naruto, Kakashi "Wait I didn't murder another dark haired individual who looks strangely like Rin", and of course Zabuza
Gato, surprised to see Haku still alive, sees this as a perfect time for revenge and attempts to use his cane to bash in Haku's skull
Zabuza sprints into action, and Kakashi knowing Naruto would also leap into the fray to save Haku, clones himself to hold Naruto back while he joins Zabuza (they did just stop fighting once Gato pretty much fired Zabuza and turned on him )
With Kakashi in the fray, Zabuza doesn't get as severely injured, allowing him to make it to Gato where of course he decapitates the bastard
Cue the village population and Inari showing up, followed by clone shenanigans, and the fact two deadly ninja are within their midst, Gatos hired thugs flee
Zabuza's favor from Kakashi in this au consists of him helping Zabuza get to Haku's side. Kakashi agrees, and the pair make their way to Haku who is barely breathing, blood pouring from his wound. Kakashi would remark that Haku wouldn't last much longer, and Zabuza agrees.
With their truce and probably some parting words from Naruto, that movement of Zabuza's arm mustered in canon is used to get Haku hooked over his shoulder with the least injured arm. Zabuza says his goodbyes, and then uses what strength and energy he has left to escape the bridge with Haku.
The two weeks spent fixing the bridge and team 7 healing, Zabuza is instead tending to Haku at their hideout. The first week was spent in a toss up of whether Haku would live, but the second is spent with him healing after the worst had passed. The pair would tend to their wounds for probably a month or so, along with Zabuza admitting that Haku wasn't just a tool to him. He does care about Haku, and just wants him to be able to survive on his own should anything befall Zabuza.
Zabuza and Haku's relationship then shifts into a more Teacher/student and pseudo-guardian figure on Zabuza's end.
When Zabuza and Haku decide to take their leave, Zabuza is amused to find his and Haku's 'graves', along with Kubikiribocho embedded at his. He thinks Kakashi has a twisted sense of humor (but also very grateful that his sword wasn't confiscated and them being 'dead' would buy them time from Hunter-nin)
Afterwards
Basically after Yagura was discovered brainwashed and Mei becomes Mizukage, Zabuza and Haku are "captured" and brought back to Kirigakure. Through some string pullings and other underhanded means, Zabuza is punished by being reinstated as a Kirigakure ninja (I know, big punishment right? Maybe she reverts him back to a Genin/Chuunin just to be petty)

Little Fish, Big Ocean
Night was especially dark in The Hidden Mist. This allowed Ryuu ample opportunity to conceal himself which was good because he’d only recently become a Genin. Despite this, he already had quite the kill count under his headband.
It all began when he met the man he considered to be his sensei, Anago Ikuji, though some time had passed since then and Ikuji Sensei had become much more expectant of Ryuu after his recent promotion. At first, it was subtle. He’d ask Ryuu to retrieve payments from civilians, but over time, their faces became wan and wary. When he asked his sensei why, he was met with severe punishments for insubordination.
Ryuu did his best to appease his sensei because he had to. Anago kept him housed and fed, although barely. He was brutal. He brought Ryuu close to death on multiple occasions. To protect himself, Ryuu stole important scrolls and spied on the newly anointed Mizukage, Mei Terumi. He even got to play middleman in the seizure of one of the famed Seven Ninja Swords, but this was a dangerous game he was playing. If he ever failed, he was made to regret it.
Now, he was at it again. With another pilfered scroll gripped in his small hands, Ryuu fled the Mizukage’s estate. The mist turned to rain and the dark engulfed him. When he reached the rendezvous point, his sensei was waiting for him. Ikuji Sensei was a burly man who stood at roughly 188 centimeters, so he dwarfed young Ryuu. He always seemed to be furrowing his hairless brows in a way that made Ryuu believe he was doing something wrong. This time was no different. A blue gray hand reached out through the darkness from beneath a baggy monochromatic camouflage sleeve, demanding Ryuu’s spoils.
He ceded the scroll and looked up at his sensei with earnest eyes. They lingered on his full head coverage mist headband. There was a strike through the metal.
Suddenly he felt his throat caught in his sensei’s large hand. Instinctively he gasped, but no air could enter his lungs. He felt his frail frame lift with ease before being thrown to the ground, coughing.
“Are you toying with me?” Growled Ikuji Sensei. “You didn’t really think I wouldn’t notice, did you?”
A swift kick knocked any air Ryuu had managed to choke in right back out of him. He felt close to vomiting. If only he had any food in him, he might have actually done it.
“Or is it that you didn’t check?” Anago opened the scroll and a swarm of black eels burst out of it. He caught the pitiful attempt at an ambush in a glowing hand and they fizzled away into nothing. “You wouldn’t dare try to hurt your dear sensei would you, little fish?”
“N-No.” Croaked Ryuu, he could only imagine that his sensei would eat him if he ever had the audacity.
“You especially didn’t think you’d get me with a toy like that did you?”
“No Sensei.”
A low chuckle escaped Anago that made Ryuu shiver. He made a few hand signs and the water on the ground around Ryuu began to squirm. It sprang to life and took the form of a swarm of eels. This time they were Anago’s creation; they were powerful. Each one sunk its needle-like teeth into Ryuu’s limbs and bound him so tightly he could barely squirm.
“Then, allow me to teach you a lesson with some toys of my own. When a big fish gets a net thrown at him, he breaks free. When a little fish gets caught in a net-” His sensei began to say, but Ryuu could see him grinning twistedly. He formed The Spar Sign by raising his index and ring fingers of his left hand. Instantly and involuntarily, Ryuu’s body jolted from an electrical current passing through the eels into him and he let out a scream.
“Well, you better hope you’re not a little fish.”

Sail Bluesea X Phil Wingate Next Generation
They were living together, but they were always arguing about pretty much everything, so they divorced. Little did Phil know that he was pregnant from their first daughter Salis. Despite all of that, he decided to not tell Sail about it, and avoid meetings with him. But despite his arrogant and cocky personality, Sail was heavily worried since he didn’t get any news whatsoever. So he tried to find Phil and that’s where he will notice that he was pregnant with their child. Phil cried because he realized how much he missed Sail. On the other hand, Sail was sorry because he knows deep down that it was because of his cocky personality that Phil left, so he promised he will do his best to calm down. They raised their newborn daughter together and Phil even gave her Sail’s surname ! Sail even proposed to Phil some months later ! They even get another child together !

National Holidays in the Ninja Villages + Bonus
I've had this idea in mind for a while, and now I finally got to write it down. Feel free to use these for your own works. Please tag me so I can read em all! <33
Iwagakure: The Lunar Lights of Gratitude The moon has a special place in the heart of every Iwa citizen. To them, it is a part of the earth, now observing its mother body from space. So naturally, the spectacle of a blue/super moon is a special occasion in Iwagakure. To honor and greet the moon, which is actually called "daughter" in the earth country's language, large fireworks are organized every new moon after a blue moon. As previously established, the earth country's firework industry is the largest, which Iwa shinobi are very proud of. Lighting the sky on fire and turning night into daytime is the Iwa way of giving back some of the light that the moon gives us at night.
Tumblr media
Kirigakure: The Moonshine Sea Festival Despite the rivalry between the land of earth and the land of water, there is one thing they have in common, which is their spiritual connection to the moon and space. To water country citizens, especially the fishermen, the moon is a protector and guardian of the night, along with the stars. They strengthen the their connection to their biggest source of both faith and fear: the sea. The special climate in the water country, combined with its great biodiversity give a great habitat for biolumescent plankton, turning the sea itself into a starry night sky. It is one of the only pieces of culture that has been preserved, since the celebration itself was founded by the water country's union of fishermen, who don't belong to a particular clan with a kekkei genkai; most of the kekkei genkai wielders in Kiri have been wiped out, along with their culture, traditions and religions.
Tumblr media
Sunagakure: Winter's Return The wind country is often ravaged by agonozingly hot summers, sand storms and heat waves are not a rarity in this country. While foreigners might groan and roll their eyes at the thought of the return to cold, foggy winter days, in Sunagakure it is a day for celebration. On the day where the sun stays for the longest, in the middle of the year, a large celebration is held across the nation. The way it is celebrated is different from family to family, and every Suna family is convinced that their way is the right one. Typically, markets are closed the whole day, and any missions rank B or below are halted for the day.
Tumblr media
Kumogakure: Whale Festival of Generosity During winter, whales can be found emigrating along the lightning country's coast line, towards the land of iron. This holiday once came to be to celebrate the whales emigration towards a more prosperous habitat to mate and provide enough food for their young - a truly generous gesture. Over the years, many kumo shinobi have forgotten the old tale behind this festival, and it has turned into more of a mere gift giving occasion. And yet, it is widely popular and celebrated throughout the whole country.
Tumblr media
Konoha: Cherry and Plum Blossom Viewing In Konoha, Hanami is annually celebrated. It is a custom celebrating the transitionary nature of cherry and plum blossoms blooming in spring.
Tumblr media
BONUS: Uchiha Clan Honoring one's ancestors and traditions is of high importance to the Uchiha. Every year, on a clear fall night, the whole clan gathers together to light up little candles using their katon. The tealights are arranged in the Uchiha crest and left to light up the night and the clan share the evening together eating dinner, drinking hot tea and praying at the nakano shrine.
Tumblr media
That's all, folks!

Its kinda funny that the naruto fandom when presented with dozens of effectively blank slate female characters in the form of the various throw away mothers in the series, and by and large they collectively lumped them together into a generic perfect mother figures amorphous blob in fan characterizations. the abused or long suffering perfect victims in light of their husbands stupidities/abuses.
and thats boring. dont give me yet another karura who angelically smiles in blood soaked pain as shes forced into turning one of her children into a jinchuriki.
give me a karura who willingly goes along with the plan, one who also sees the dire economic strains sunagakures fallen into and per the blind shinobi demagoguery agrees that only a jinchuriki can change their villages prospects. or hell, consider gaaras sand. if it was always infused with karuras love as opposed to shukakus/the ichibeis power, what does that say about the kind of love karura infused into it? a sand that violently lashed out, maimed and killed without distinction at the smallest hint of a threat regardless of its veracity? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if people hand waved away that line about gaaras sand [outside of forgetting about it anyways], because of those implications it raises about karuras love. that its not just some idealized perfect clean form of love, but a violent almost possessive one unwilling to broke challenges or threats to what it thinks is right. that in trying to protect him, karuras love ended up smothering and isolating gaara before snowballing into the misery young gaaras life would become. i would certainly argue kishimotos unwilling to interrogate these implications anyways.
anyways, this is to say that my new headcannon of karura is not of some demure flower, but rather a twitchy elite jounin hopped up on an endless amount of coffee, trauma and hair trigger murderous reflex impulses. a woman who, when presented with her husbands bad ideas does not softly rebuke them but instead doubles down on them because its go big or go home when you live in sunagakure the shittiest village of the big five hidden villages. and aint that saying something when "caught in perpetual civil wars cause they can't stop murdering their own citizens" kirigakure exists.

Lucifer is a very intense partner. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it is something to be aware of when in a relationship with him.
When he loves, it’s complete and all consuming. He will do everything to protect you from his enemies and, even at times, his allies.
Sometimes this can come across as smothering but Lucifer also respects you completely. If you ask him to back off and let you live your own life, he’ll do just that. But he will always keep a close eye on you. If anything were to happen to you, he would never forgive himself.
If you’re not an exorcist or part of the Illuminati, he’ll do his best to keep you away from the coming war. He might teach you how to defend yourself, just to know you can defend yourself.
On the other hand, if you’re already involved, Lucifer likes being able to discuss plans and ideas with you. He’s got a lot of responsibility on his shoulders and having you there helps ease the weight.
Tumblr media
If you’re in a relationship with Shura, you’re certainly going to be going on a lot of adventures, both exorcist related and not. She’s a party animal and likes excitement.
If you’re not into that sort of stuff, she’ll respect that but she’d love it if you’re willing to be with her when she gets to properly relax and let her hair down (more than usual of course).
Shura’s a super supportive partner in all aspects. Need some words of affirmation about your outfit? You’ve never looked better in her eyes. Want her to look over your latest project? It’s looking good!
As energetic as she is, she also loves spending quiet time with you. She enjoys the peace you bring her and hopes she brings you peace in those moments as well.
I feel like Shura puts up a front a lot of the time, hiding her true self behind her overly bubbly personality. But with you, she can be honest, letting her walls down and knowing you’ll still care for her nonetheless.
Tumblr media
Okay, Mamushi is an interesting case. She’s probably not going to react the best if you tell her about your feelings for her out of nowhere but if you give her some time to calm down, she will certainly reciprocate.
I see her as someone who is very much a fan of subtle declarations of affection. She likes it when you put your shoes next to hers when you take them off and when you link your pinkies together while walking.
Big declarations still intimidate her a bit and she’s not great at expressing her own feelings but she’s trying her best.
I feel like Mamushi hasn’t had a lot of experience with relationships before so she isn’t really sure how fast or slow it should progress. You’ll have to be the one to set boundaries or ask her to do things so she knows.
She’s also very much someone who, even though it takes a while for her to develop feelings, once she cares about someone, she’s with them for the long run.

Shura/Mephisto Ship.
The Shura/Mephisto ship..
It's a weird thing. Not quite a ship, not quite a demon contract.
But Mephisto is working on it desperately.
It's complicated...because this ain't romance, it's about ownership.
We just don't know the terms of the agreement.
But we can assume that the leverage was the lives of Rin and Yukio Okumura. In exchange, Mephisto wants Shura to be his next human body.
We never see Mephisto and Shura make a demon contract. That conversation has been denied to us.
All we know is that after chapter 94, Shura changes from hating Mephisto with every ounce of her being to collaborating with him (albeit without major disinterest and misgivings).
We know Mephisto is growing weaker and weaker as he tries to hold the world together. His body is barely hanging on.
He will need a new vessel to keep him alive, and Shura, being a powerful exorcist is a good match for him.
First of all, she comes from a long line of ninjas. These ninjas are cursed with a demonic temptaint from the Hydra, Hachitaro Okami. The temptaint seems to have made her body super-powered and resilient. Like the most powerful exorcists in the order, she is almost a demon herself. But unlike Lightning, she isn't devoid of empathy. She feels love and devotion, especially towards Shiro's kids.
Shura's familial power has only gotten stronger with each new generation. As part of Hachiro's curse, each female descendent born from Tatsuko Kirigakure is a carbon copy of the child before it. (Basically demon created clones)
Tatsuko's cloning has repeated for at least, 500 years or more, with each new "Tatsuko" becoming more and more imbued with Hachiro's DNA. Even though Hachiro tries to groom them into the original Tatsuko, they all have different souls.
Our version, Shura Kirigakure, the last descendent of Tatsuko Kirigakure is crazy strong. But doesn't share the ambitious, power-hungry nature of the original.
--------------------------------------------------
Why Does Mephisto Want Shura?
Demon kings have been experimenting with cloning to try and get strong vessels that can withstand their energies. Vessels they can possess to live on in Assiah. Shura meanwhile, has developed without section 13 and asylum. Her body became strong over years and years of demonic heritage.
Mephisto has had her in mind for quite some time.
Mephisto made sure that Shura was kept outside of section 13.
Mephisto had Shiro rescue Shura as a child from Hachiro and had Shiro train her as his apprentice before she was placed in orphanage. Mephisto kept Shura well away from Asylum. The last thing he needed was his demon brother Lucifer and the section 13 scientists getting wind of a new potential vessel. Mephisto keeps the best options hidden for himself. Also, having Shiro, Mephisto's personal assassin/loaded gun as Shura's caregiver was added protection. Nobody dare mess with Shiro.
But..Mephisto has one big problem with Shura. She hates his guts.
Shura doesn't trust him and threatens to kill him all the time. Mephisto could easily kill Shura with little more than a snap of his finger. But Mephisto holds back. He cannot kill her, he needs her to survive.
------------------------------------------------
Mephisto fully decides Shura's the one, after Lucifer declares war on True Cross.
Shura has regenerative abilities. Her body is so resilient, she withstood a direct hit from Lucifer's seraphim. If she can withstand Lucifer, the strongest demon king, she can surely take on Mephisto's powers.
When Mephisto is rebuilding the the fallen barriers after Lucifer's attack, an injured Shura confronts him. Mephisto admits that he knows everything about Shura's injury, despite the chaos swirling around him. He affirms it's in her abdomen and the left side. He's researched the situation because he's invested in her. He's super impressed that she survived Lucifer.
Mephisto at this point stops threatening Shura and becomes overly concerned with her health and well-being. He has her admitted to a hospital, and also orchestrates her release from Hachiro's curse with the aid of Rin and Yukio. He wants Shura's body is in good health and free from other demonic contracts.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Mephisto wants Shura to agree to be his body.
Mephisto, unlike the other demon kings seems to have more success living and collaborating with humans. Yet, like the other demon kings he believes that he is more powerful, and much more cunning. He gets off outsmarting humans and setting them up to fail.
Mephisto offers to grant them wishes, and in return they must give him something he desires. This game in which he balances the scales of morality, are rarely won (if ever) by the humans. Mephisto makes up all the rules, and stacks the deck against them.
But what does Shura wish for? What are her greatest desires?
What could Mephisto possibly offer to ensnare his prey?
Shura wants four things:
-She wants to fall in love.
-She wants a family
-She wants Rin and Yukio to be safe.
-Originally she wanted Shiro to love her, but he's dead, so that wish is out of play.
These are not simple wishes for a demon to grant. Easier things are money, sex and power.
Shura, meanwhile, wants love, attachment and family.
Mephisto according to Shura is incapable of providing or understanding love, as are all demons. Yet, he has to honour her wishes, or he won't get what he desperately needs.
--------------------------------------------
But, here's the thing. Mephisto wants Shura to win and lose at the same time.
That way he can take her body as his own without guilt. He doesn't want her to fight the possession but give in to him willingly.
Demonic possession is a difficult process that, if done improperly, can kill both the demon and the host.
Mephisto has convinced himself that humans are silly little pawns that he gets to play with. Shura is no different.
He promises to fulfill the desires of humans, but somehow he makes those desires come true in a bittersweet way. A way which he outsmarts the humans regardless of how cruel that outcome turns out to be.
Look at what happened to poor Shiro. He wanted sex, money and to be the Paladin. Mephisto makes it all possible, but in the end he loses the one thing he really wanted, but just didn't know it. The love of Yuri Egin and his future family. He got Shiro to agree to his deal when he was only a child, knowing that he'd grow up to feel very differently about the world.
It wasn't fair.
Mephisto hoped that Shura would take after Tatsuko, her ancestor and want something easy to grant like power. He was also hoping that Shura would become more like the Shiro, hence why he left her in his care. Luckily Shiro abandoned her at the orphanage before more emotional damage could be done. Even though Shura avoided all attachment, deep down she had a big loving heart.
And Shiro knew it, and affirmed it later on, when he asked her to watch out for his young son, Yukio.
Shiro also knew Shura's loving heart was the thing that could defeat Mephisto, because the demon sucks in the love and empathy department. Love is a big curiosity to demons, and it also befuddles them.
Because of Shura's big heart, Mephisto has a major challenge.
He has to make this woman...what? Love him? Want him? Does he try to fulfill this love through someone else? Did he promise her a child? How can he provide something he doesn't personally feel, or feel at a much lesser extent? Does he lie?
Her requests are such a tall order.....especially for a heartless demon. If he could make Shura fall in love with him, that would be a major victory. But so far it hasn't worked.
He sent her flowers at the hospital, sent her to a bathhouse. He said rude sexual things to her, to try and show his interest. The innuendo would have worked for Shiro...but Mephisto comes across as a total skeeze. Plus, he's her boss. She should march him right down to HR.
(Well...she guilty too, she started the entire fake flirting thing back in Kyoto.)
Despite all of Mephisto's scheming, Shura hasn't bonded with him.
Even after he was shot, and she was his security detail. All Shura cared about was poor Yukio. She left Mephisto laying on the ground covered in blood.
Pretty fucking funny....
The only thing that troubles me, is the fact that we have this unknown kid, Nemu Takara. He looks so much like Shura, it's uncanny.
Somehow I think Mephisto grants her wish, and along with it, cripples her child with a terrible, sleeping curse.
I'm hoping that part of the theory is wrong.

The themes of Naruto and how the fact he and Sasuke are reincarnations/part of a cycle expands on those themes
Some guy was going on about how the reincarnation thing in Naruto was an asspull and when people pulled receipts and showed him panels from part one that hinted at it he maintained that it was still terrible because the whole destiny thing ruined the themes of the manga and I'm here like somebody really read the whole manga yet missed out on the themes of peace through absolute power vs peace through understanding that were key to the whole thing.
The Akatsuki's dream of peace is enforced on the rest of the world through the absolute power of the 9 bijuu powered infinite tsukuyomi. Sasuke chases power in order to avenge his family so he can be at peace + not have the threat of Itachi killing any further family he makes all over again hanging over him. Naruto comes to peace with those around him by understanding them whether or not he considers their past actions forgiveable, he chases Sasuke because he understands that Sasuke's motivation of revenge isn't wrong but the way he's going about it is actively self-destructive and hurts both him and those who care about him.
The whole idea of the villages I think are to show that it's a cycle of hatred, between war and peace, between might making right and compassion being the key and Sasuke and Naruto are symbolically representative of it all!
The theme of generational trauma is also all over the world of Naruto! Whether it's the legacy of the Uzumaki sacrificed to become the jinchuriki of the nine tails, a burden his parents pass onto Naruto; Kakashi's trauma stemming from his father's, Hinata and Neji both innocent kids but who are divided by the toxic customs of their family when they should be like siblings to each other, Hashirama and Madara bearing the weight of the brother war the Senju-Uchiha conflict and how hard it is to achieve peace even in a world where neither side actually wants to fight because of all the history and distrust that's built up, the curse of hatred of the Uchiha stemming from Ootsutsuki Indra's madness and willingness to murder his closest friends for the sake of taking power by force, Obito being taken by his own clan patriarch, hurt when he tries to leave and brainwashed and traumatised into buying into the dream of a perfect world - he literally inherits his hatred for the existing one, Gaara and his siblings lives effected by their father's actions but also by the custom of jinchuriki being created in the first place, the children of Ame all orphaned by war, Kaguya the enslaver, Kaguya the dictator, leaving a fragment of her will called Zetsu aka 'tongue' that continues to spread hatred, fear and prejudice and divide the people hundreds of years on. Haku experiencing the results of both the ninja world 'shinobi are tools' belief system and the prejudice of Kirigakure towards those with bloodline limits when he's a child too young to fully understand either with Zabuza the demon of the bloody mist who killed all his classmates to end kiri's killer graduation exams once and for all who can't bring himself to express his genuine love for Haku until he's already dead. I mean I could go on but you get the point.
The reincarnation thing emphasises the themes of Naruto which are generational trauma, the power of brotherhood/friendship and peace through absolute power vs peace through understanding and last but not least endurance in the face of a hopelessly cynical world: aka The will of fire, the will/resolve to keep trying to improve things even a little for the sake of the next generation, to refuse to give up even when it appears hopeless. Like say when you've just gotten your ass kicked by an army of zombies, the remainder of Akatsuki, Obito, Zetsu and Uchiha fucking Madara, you've failed to stop the moon's eye plan and suddenly, things get worse and a literal all powerful Goddess descends on you when you're already exhausted and the rest of the army is comatose.

Clan Info ❀˖°
Clan Name: Koizumi  Specialty: The Koizumi clan was known as the Blood Mist’s ‘secret lifeline’ during the third shinobi war, specializing in medical ninjutsu, chakra precision, and having an excess amount of chakra. Always staying behind or doing ‘rescue’ missions to heal shinobi, the hidden mist did well to keep the knowledge of this clan as secretive as possible– for only those within the village to know about. Weapon(s): Shurukin, Kunai, Tanto Katana(main) Talents/Skill(s): Master of Most Medical Ninjutsu, Curse Mark Manipulation
Note: Yukari only uses her Curse Mark whenever she is depleted of her natural chakra reserve. Her curse mark causes her to pull nature chakra from flora and fauna in her surroundings- draining them of life, withering them- to be useable by her for healing, (or anything else she is using it for) Her transformation acts in two main forms like most of the curse mark ‘victims,’ spreading across her skin from the point the mark is located in a blotted, spiral pattern, (most similar to a combo of Kidomaru and Sakon/Ukon) Her full transformation causes her skin to turn an ash gray, black circular markings around her eyes, two additional arms, two curling horns around her head and her hair shifts to an off white shade.

Backstory ˚☽˚。⋆☁︎
Born to Yuemon Koizumi and Yakaku Misaki, Yukari was a quiet child. Often secluded from the folks in her village, both by her own choice and from her parent's overprotectiveness. She was born and raised during the third great Shinobi War, although her parents attempted to shelter her until she was ‘ready enough,’ as a medical-nin. But enough was never enough for her parents, holding standards high due to their clan's status as the backbone of the mist’s forces as the main source of healing during combat encounters. Yukari studied, stayed indoors, and rarely spoke to many folk– only going to the shore or the academy when she was young.
Once she became a genin, her parents halted her ninja training– officially, while still teaching her at home. Having the young girl attempting medical ninjutsu at levels higher than she should for her age or skill, nonetheless, she worked hard to appease her parents with nothing but a blank stare. She exhausted herself, becoming both a workaholic and a people pleaser at such a young age– even developing the bags beneath her eyes she has to this day at age 13.
Eventually just before her 16th birthday, was around the time she had attained her hundreds healing mark– the third ninja war came to an end and she never saw combat. The closest the Yukari had come to such a thing was one evening when she was in the woods just outside of the village. Mist blurring her vision for long distances, but she was quite used to it by this point. Casually gathering medicinal herbs and flowers, when she came face to face with an enemy shinobi in battle with one of her village’s own. She moved without thinking when she saw red spill from both of the men, dropping all the flora in her arms to rush towards where they lay on the ground. Red staining the grass beneath her feet, and leaving a stain in her memory. She kneeled down and began attempting to use the healing ninjutsu she’d spent her whole life studying, focusing on the kirigakure shinobi first. He had no pulse, and now the red pooling from his wounds stained her pale palms. As she lifted her shaking hands to examine the blood dripping off of them the enemy rose to his feet behind her, casting a shadow over where she knelt beside the fresh corpse. She moved without thinking once again, taking the first weapon in her reach– a tanto sword on the waistband of the fallen kirigakure shinobi in front of her, and she turned to face the enemy. It was a blur, mist hazing over her memory for the next several minutes. When she looked down again, registering what she’d done and what was in front of her– the red had stained more than before. Her grip on the tanto loosened until it fell into the puddle below her, and as she stepped back to view the scene she’d left– The enemy shinobi slaughtered, and seemingly still brutalized after the life had left the body. Only glimpses of red, her hand swinging and the enemy trying to take the tanto from her remained in her memory. She returned home that day, her pale blue dress stained and ruined with red– along with her mind. The quiet girl grew more quiet after these events.
Once the war had ended, information about the hidden mist began to be leaked to other villages– including the details of the Koizumi clan. Yukari was unaware of this intel leak or what seemed to be an unconnected fact– a hidden leaf shinobi had gone rogue, abandoning his village in pursuit of power and to learn more jutsu. The girl was just unlucky to be wearing her clan symbol while once again foraging in the same clearing within the forest as the battle she’d gotten herself involved in just months before. A man named Orochimaru kidnapped her in that clearing, solely because of the Koizumi clan symbol on her back.
She spent several years going through experimentation, tests, and combat– being injured and instructed to heal herself, healing other victims of Orochimaru, and so on became typical daily occurrences for Yukari. And one day, shortly after her 18th birthday, she’d be ‘gifted’ with her very own curse mark from Orochimaru. Resulting in more training, testing, and observations on her to examine how she withstood the mark or if it improved her whatsoever. It wasn’t until Orochimaru left the Akatsuki the following year that he also decided he was bored of the lack of improvement Yukari was showing. He released her, not out of compassion– quite the opposite, thinking she’d struggle on her own with the curse mark and nowhere to go.
The girl roamed for some time and returned to her village, her 24th birthday approaching when she was approached by a masked man– offering her a role, and place to go. Noting how he could see how this shinobi world had wronged her thus far, and other manipulative phrases to convince the quiet woman to join him in a group he called the Akatsuki. With a blank expression she agreed, more indifferent than anything to the proposition or his words that echoed in her mind.
It would be within the Akatsuki that Yukari would finally meet the shinobi she’d hoped to spend the rest of her life beside. Finding solace in the hideout, and the community within the group– as odd and violent as they all could often be. She quickly took on her role as the mediator and general ‘caretaker,’ as well as the medical unit behind them all.

One of us is dead
chapter four | chapter six
chapter five - practise exam
Tumblr media
Fun facts about Akira: He has very light brown hair and hazel eyes. He looks up to his father a lot and is immensely grateful for everything his mom does to support their family. His father unfortunately passed away when he was young. He has an older brother He's also incredibly passionate about changing the shinobi world so that the future generation doesn't have to go through what he did. He kinda basically looks like Kenya from Erased hehe :) (Edit: Just realised he also looks like sakuta too lmao)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways on with the chapter!
Tumblr media
"Why is Shisui back at the academy? Isn't he chunin? Didn't he just serve in the war?"
"I heard that he was the only one from his team that came back?"
"I wonder if Itsuki has come back too."
"Well I heard that Shisui let Itsuki die on the front lines. I'm not surprised considering he's an Uchiha."
It had only been 5 minutes since I took my seat next to Akira, and the entire class managed to stuff the room with talks of a shinobi named Shisui Uchiha.
An Uchiha. We learned about the major shinobi clans in the Kirigakure academy. A clan known for their visual prowess allowing them to visualise chakra, mimic jutsus and induce a deep hypnosis more potent than any normal genjutsu.
In the Byakuya, we were given strict instructions to retreat if we made contact with a shinobi that the Byakuya considered to be 'blacklisted'. The name Shisui Uchiha made frequent appearances in the blacklisted books, his speed and deadly precision were legendary.
"Bakakira, who is this Shisui everyone seems to be so infatuated with?" I asked, poking his sleepy head.
"Oi will you stop that! Shisui was a classmate and a friend who graduated a few years earlier than us. He was promoted to chunin and just served in the war. Now stop bothering me." He whisper-yelled before resting his head in his arms.
"Quiet down class! Today we're having an exam to prepare you for graduation exam." Kisuke sensei said, causing groans to interrupt him. I zoned out from whatever he was saying as Akira leaned towards me.
"This is the 6th 'exam' we've had this week. I swear to Kami if it's another written test, I might just jump off the hokage stone faces and drag Kisuke sensei to the grave with me." Akira whispered to me, causing me to giggle – not so loudly- in front of the entire class.
"You find exams funny, now do you Y/N chan? Well, we'll see if you're laughing when it's your turn to spar." Kisuke sensei retorted, "Stay behind after class."
I sent a not-so sarcastic smile his way as Akira chuckled at me.
Just wait Akira, I'll get you soon.
Kisuke sensei continues with his lesson, explaining the values of taijutsu and the details of the exam.
"It's a taijutsu exam then. FYI everyone here is pretty mediocre apart from the kid at the front who no one talks to, Shisui and yours truly." Akira boasted, pointing his thumb at himself.
"I won't believe it until I see it Bakakira." I said just as the lunch bell rang, "Kisuke sensei talks too long, I'm sure we could have had 3 pairs spar by now."
"You haven't even had the worst of it. I've had him for the past three years." Akira groaned, "I'm heading to the bathroom then the tree, meet me there if you want."
"Okay, I'll see you there."
"Oh, and enjoy your scolding from sensei."
Tumblr media
After a ten-minute scolding from sensei about respect and patience, I finally started making my way to the tree; it was mine and Akira's favourite place out of the entire academy.
Jeez, he really talks for too long. No one gives two shits about respect and patience. Well, patience can perhaps get you somewhere in this shinobi world.
But respect is completely unheard of. It gets you nowhere, not when you're just used like a tool, discarded the moment you're no longer needed.
I hadn't even made it half way through the corridor before I slammed into something, more like someone and fell yet again on the cold hard ground.
I think Kami haunts this academy and loves to trip me up for fun. Or maybe I just have a natural affinity for floor.
"I'm sorry." I said, my face turning a bright red.
"Watch where you're going kid." A stoic voice snapped as a pair of onyx eyes glared down at me.
"I said I was sorry, jerk."
"What did you say?" He asked, raising his eyebrow. His eyes flooded with a deep red tone as he continued to stare down at me, looming many feet above my body.
The sharingan
I got up and dusted my legs and stared straight back at him. So, this must be the Shisui Uchiha everyone's talking about. And that must be his sharingan.
"You heard me. Do Uchiha's not know how to accept apologies?" I retorted as I turned my back on him. I started to make my way to the tree where I was supposed to meet Akira, but before I could a certain black-haired, onyx-eyed Uchiha tightly held my wrist, squeezing it hard and turning me to face him.
Start the water works now Y/N, Start them real quick. Can't let him suspect for even a second that I'm also a shinobi and not just a child in the academy.
"You're the one who bumped into me and now you're going to cry. Seriously? You're in the academy, training to become an elite shinobi, yet my grip has you on the verge of tears. The leaf doesn't need a cry-baby to protect them. Grow up or give up." He spat as he shoved my wrist and walked away.
Are all Uchiha rude bastards?
Lunch break sponsored by kirby itadori yuuji!
Tumblr media
"Alright, for the first part of the exam, I'm going to pair you up with one of your classmates and I want you to spar.
You know the rules, no weapons, no ninjutsu and avoid the groin. I can't believe I have to reiterate that.
The battle ends when one individual is unable to get back onto their feet. Understood?" sensei asked us as we all nodded in agreement before he looked back down at his clipboard.
"Great, Y/N Uzumaki and Katsumi Aikawa are up first." He said as the girl, Katsumi, and I stepped forward to the sparring spot.
"Are you two ready?" Kisuke sensei asked as we nodded in unison before starting our match, "BEGIN!"
Surely people expect a kunoichi from a shinobi clan to know some sort of taijutsu, so it must be okay for me to defend myself and even hop onto the offensive. They shouldn't suspect anything.
I charged towards Katsumi and we began throwing a barrage of jabs towards each other, all whist blocking the others hits. The longer the match went on, the more gasps filled the air. I noticed the Uchiha stare at the match in front of him, making me smirk right back at him
'Yeah, you watch Uchiha.' I said to myself as I finished off the match with a roundhouse kick, sending the poor girl to the floor.
I pounce on her back and hold two fingers near her neck as my other hand tightly pulls her left arm, pinning her to the floor.
"It looks like Y/N wins, that concludes this first match." Kisuke sensei applauded, as I made my way to Akira.
"Looks like the donkey has skills." Akira scoffed
"Haha you're funny" I said, rolling my eyes at his remark, "I'm not some helpless girl I'll have you know."
"I never said you were, donkey."
"Akira! Stop disrupting my lessons, in fact, you can go next! Your opponent is Shisui, now hurry up and get here!" Kisuke sensei barked, clearly annoyed at our little conversation.
"Well good luck, and do me a favour and knock the Uchiha off his high horse." I whispered
"Since when were you all fiesty about Shisui?"
"Ever since lunch. Stop asking and go fight him." I said, shooing him to the spot, "Good luck Bakakira."
Akira made his way to the spot and charged straight towards Shisui, going in for a kick which was soon blocked by Shisui. The entire class was captivated by the barrage of kicks and punches thrown by Akira, evident by the series of "woahs" and "wows" which followed every move.
But something was off about the match. More like something was off about Shisui.
He dodged and dived each of Akira's attacks lifelessly, swaying side to side with no vitality, refusing to even make contact with Akira. His eyes held the same, still, stoic look as he dodged each punch and kick.
A look I'm all too familiar with. A look that never disappeared from my face when I worked for The Byakuya.
A look that may look apathetic, cocky and inanimate at first, but after penetrating past its defences, you find yourself staring at a bottomless abyss which stares right back at you with one word plastered over its eyes.
Pain
Akira, being the idiot he is, grew increasingly impatient with the flow of the uneventful fight and attempted right hook at Shisui.
"Stop holding back and fight me coward! This isn't like you!" Akira yelled.
The next series of moves happened so quick; it had the entire class, including Kisuke sensei, in awe. Shisui ducked and avoided Akira hook, leaving Akira open. Shisui took this moment to kick straight at Akira's chest causing him to fly straight into our lunch tree.
"And the winner is Shisui. Akira, Shisui, come make the unison sign." Kisuke sensei asked as everyone cheered for him but me.
Akira made his way to Shisui and the two had a stare-down: one with his sharingan blaring the other refusing to blink. Before the stare-down could go any longer, Kisuke sensei interrupted them both.
"Now boys, we don't have all day."
Both boys raised their hands, the entire class expecting them to perform the unison sign but what came after was (to say the least) unexpected.
Akira and Shisui raised their fists, and not a second later, they punched each other right in the face. Noses bleeding, they stumbled back, each clutching their face in shock and pain. For a brief moment, they stood frozen, staring at one another with wide eyes, before Kiuske sensei interrupted.
"Shisui! Akira! What is the meaning of this? I thought the class honour students might be able to stick to the basic shinobi rules! Yet, the both of you can't even make the unison sign!" Kisuke sensei bellowed, "You two used to be so close, I thought that just maybe this would promote some healthy competition between you two."
"Bastard, why did you hold back?" Akira asked, disregarding everything Kisuke sensei just said as he yelled at Shisui.
"Whatever, I'm leaving right now. I have real chunin duties to do, I don't have the time to be playing around with children." Shisui said, before turning his back on the whole class and making his way out of the academy.
"Akira, stay behind. The rest of you are dismissed, now go!" Kisuke sensei said. I mouthed Akira a quick bye and took off with the rest of the class.

Sigh. Was the only thing that came out of the Jonin's mouth as he leaned against his desk, looking at the young shinobi infront of him.
"Well, what was that all about?" He asked.
"Sorry Sensei. I didn't mean to lose my cool, but I'm sure you saw it too." Akira said, his head held between his hands, tugging at his hair in frustration
"I know."
"When he came back, he looked at me as if he didn't even know me. And that's not even the worst part. That isn't Shisui. That's not the brother I promised to protect this village with. His eyes looked so empty; it was like I was staring at nothing."
"This is the harsh reality of being a shinobi. We see and do things in the name of 'justice' but when in reality we just commit crimes to protect those in a mirage we call peace and stability." Sensei said ruffling Akira's hair, "But kid, your generation has the ability to stop these unwanted deaths and violence."
"I can't imagine what he must have seen to make him go from the humble goofy idiot we all knew to this lifeless stranger."
"Akira, you are going to go through many hardships as a shinobi and whatever's happened to Shisui may happen to you or your peers. But don't forget, shinobi are human too. I think Shisui is torn between his loyalty to being a shinobi and just being human, he's trying to lock away the very things that make him 'weak'. Talk to him, let him vent his emotions."
"Thank you, sensei. I'll bring back our Shisui." Akira smiled; determination painted across his face. He was sure to bring his brother back into the light.
.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- Looks like Y/N has some moves of her own! Just what could have possibly happened to Shisui for him to become so unrecognisable to Akira?
Sorry if Shisui seems OOC, there is an explanation! Stay tuned to find out in the next chapter! I have just finished editing Chapters 9-11 and they are long but I'm so excited for you, dearest reader, to read them!
Loving you always, Suri 🎀

Would you be able to write general relationship hcs with Juzo Shima, Satan, or Shura?
No worries if you're not comfortable writing for any of them 🩵
Tumblr media
𐙚 𓂃 Juzo & Shura hcs
warning/s. . none
𝓢uzo Shima 𝜚
As the second son of the Shima family and an Upper Second Class Excorcist Juzo is a really busy man , duties tend to overwhelm him alot sometimes , both from his family matters and exorcists duties but either way he tries to spend as much time as possible with you ; his love language is definitely quality time. . he loves hearing you talk for hours about your day and praising you for all the successful tasks you’ve completed.
One of his main objectives is learning more and more about you , building down a strong connection with his beloved , leading it into a happy marriage , if you feel ready and happy with him of course. After his father , he will be the one taking the lead of the Shima clan and he needs to grow the family more but that’s just a side reason , he loves you dearly and will be honored to get married and start a family with you.
𝓢hura Kirigakure 𝜚
Shura is a more free spirit compared to Juzo but that doesn’t mean she’s less busy. She’ll try to spend time with you yes , but her missions usually take alot of her day , weeks too and she will hardly drop her work for someone else.
Shura’s love languages could be either quality time or words of affirmation. . a bit of physical touch too , but only when she’s alone with you. She’s not scared to show with words how much she cares about you and you will never be able to escape her teasing words for sure.
She’s not one to express her worries in front of others , but she deeply thinks about your well being , especially since she’s an high class exorcist. . some demons smarter than others could use you against her and she would never forgive herself if something would happen to you.
this is basically my first writing after months of procastination , i hope this is to your liking. Also i had some troubles writing for Mephisto. . i will learn his personality later on so that he won’t sound too much ooc.
